Hamada Haru Some time ago, Chase and the other Roidmude Generals came into possession of a TIME MAZINE. Figuring out exactly what to do with it had taken a while, and had been regarded with the utmost importance for obvious reasons. Today is the day that the TIME MAZINE will actually be used to hop backwards in time. Naturally, that means that it's also the day that shit surrounding it goes wrong.

Time slows to a crawl and then halts surrounding the TIME MAZINE. This isn't an actual problem for anyone within the effect, but it does provide a "buffer period" For those who will be joining the expedition unexpectedly. Striding out of the ether, accompanied by all of those present who are not a direct friend of Chase and the roidmudes, is a White Grasshopper. He has the appearance of a Kamen Rider, but more organic-- it's his "body" rather than a true transformation. He gestures the group behind him forward, then claps his hands and rubs them together.

"Alright, listen up. You've got the right idea. For this specific happy ending, you need Volt. And I want to help you make that happen. There are a few conditions, though..." He gestures into the air, conjuring images of Kamen Rider Drive (Type Technic) and Kiriko Shijima. "You've got to be careful these two don't die, and that they don't perceive you as 'yourselves', except for Chase there. I'll provide a quick-and-dirty disguise if you don't have one yourselves, so you don't have to worry about that. You also need to decide whether you're saving the original Volt or his 'ghost'. He'll be a little more powerful if he exists redundantly, but you may or may not want that. You only need one Volt to get what you're looking for, though. Your enemy's the same either way. You'll have to fight Drive."

"Questions, comments, concerns? We're working with time travel here, so it's always worth bearing things out!" says the White Grasshopper. After a moment or two he snaps his fingers and points at Chase, "Oh, by the way, you're going to need to get 099 on board down the road. Don't forget."
Xion Xion is here dressed in all-black: a short sleeved t-shirt, black pants, black shoes, and a black belt. Over top of the black on black she wears a green-plaid flannel shirt, collared and buttoned - and neither buttoned in. In her hand she slowly palms over a magenta trimmed phone with a silver face sporting a X and black plastic body. Having been familiar with Tomari Shinnosuke's stint as Drive, changing history here benefits a bit from knowledge of how things went down.

"I think it would be kinder if we rescued Volt during the first encounter with Drive, and not the second. In the second, Volt turns off power to the entire city and threatens all of Tokyo. In the first, Volt captures a child relevant to his absorbed personality, who Tomari frees. Since I can free them too with the Power of Unlocking, we can shoot for a best ending that still preserves the timeline on what happens - we can make it there and back with one more roidmude life, right?"

Hopeful, Xion looks to the others at the White Grasshopper's meeting. "I'm still thinking about my disguise, but I think I've got most of one planned out. Everyone else have ideas?"
Go Shijima      Go's white, feet-forward power cruiser motorcycle is hard to mistake for someone else's ride. Go himself is also hard to mistake for someone else, because he insists on wearing his favorite jacket. To his credit, he is a little harder to spot from a rooftop, because most people just don't look up. The Ride Macher is parked beside a building a block away from the meetup.

Atop the roof, Go snaps a picture with his camera. From outside the time distortion, it seems like everyone inside is moving slowly. There are some familiar faces--and one very unfamiliar face. Checking his phone a second time, Go finds zero mention of any Heaviness outbreaks. "Huh." He scratches his head, putting his camera back into his backpack.

A quick text is sent out.

Something unusual is going on. Meet me here-- A link to a map app is included. I think this is something we want to investigate. Ishirou and the 'junior detectives' are included in the contacts. Backup is good, big crowds aren't.

After the message is sent, Go traverses from rooftop to rooftop, shimmying down a fire escape and taking the last two floors by way of a high-flying backflip. He lands, just in time for the discussion.

"Time travel, huh?" he says, with an insufferable smile. "I'm coming. So you'd better think of a disguise for me, too. I don't care what it is. I won't even stop you from saving Volt--or any other Roidmude. But you're not messing around with Drive or my sister, without me there."

He shoots off another text, with some added context.
Xion Xion, a friend of the Roidmude Generals and also broadly an ally against the Kamen Riders when they were being a little genocidal in the name of the Saturday AM hours, was here prior! She had even deposited a wooden crate (with blanket atop) to sit on. She smoothly produces a bundle of black cloth-of-some-sort and takes only the briefest of moments to aim from her seat and underhands it through distorted time to huck it at Go.

It's leather. The shoulders have studs! There's a yellow stripe across the left breast, cutting the quarterline vertically from the back, and the collar has a wrap of yellow about. "Oh hey, glad you showed up 'Racer X'." Pronounced 'ecks'. "You can borrow my gimmick, I'm doing something else."
Ishirou Ishirou had been gone from the apartment for a few days.  Then suddenly came back last night, got cleaned up, then was out again.  Then he came back after everything had happened at Lobocorp.  He's about to lie down on his bed before...

'Something unusual is going on. Meet me here.'

Ishirou groans slightly.  He's at least glad this was sent to him /before/ he actually laid down.  Minutes later he's in the air, cutting through the skies to try and reach Go.  Though thankfully, in this transversal time, he's gotten more context as to what is going on.  By the time he's landed, he's recalled the armor form and is just...

Well Ishirou, with POD, "I'm with Go," he says, to nobody in particular, aiming to stand next to his friend.  "So we want to save Volt... Which means we're going to have to fight Drive..?  Also.. hm.. I think I need a disguise."

As for 'other ideas'.  "Could we instead try and fake his death?  That'd probably soften any blows to the timeline, and prevent any redundant attempts on his life?"
Hellwarming Trio Vague as Go's message is, it doesn't take much to convince Utsuho and Rin to show up and aid in the time quest to... They're not sure what just yet, but the White Grasshopper will surely explain things in a way they can understand! Their arrival is suitably flashy as well, with Rin and Utsuho diving almost vertically from the sky and stopping themselves inches from the ground suddenly to let their capes and dresses flutter while kicking up just a bit of dust on arrival.
Meanwhile, Satori has never met Chase before, but the girls have vouched for him well enough that she's got no objections to showing up to help out as well. Satori's arrival, in comparison, is clearly aimed at being mysterious as she slinks out from behind a shady corner, trying to just show up behind someone.

The timeline stuff, though, goes right over all their heads. The imagery of Drive in particular has the kasha and the raven going wide-eyed, though, before they stare at Satori. Satori holds an obviously-forced poker face while listening closely to White GRasshopper's directives, then Xion's plan.

"Volt is one of your friends, right? I don't see any reason not to have him be more powerful, if you'd like him to live. That means saving him directly, then."
"Right! And yeah, saving him when he's only doing one kidnapping instead of messing with the whole city'll have fewer people gunning for his head later."
"Unless he wants that kinda attention. Maybe we could ask him and Shin!"

Satori looks skeptical about Rin's suggestion, but she doesn't say anything to the contrary. Instead, she just looks over at the actual experts in this sort of matter, all while considering possible disguises to work with. The yokai are all dressed in their usual clearly-designed outfits, of course, so trying to hide their presences might take a bit of doing.

"I could just stick to my original form."
"Me, too! They ain't gonna notice the extra tails, right?"
"They might, if they remember you from that town. And... Hm. If we need disguises, perhaps something more formal might be in order." Satori pauses to stare at Rin and Utsuho, then at White Grasshopper again. "You wouldn't happen to have spare clothes in their size, would you?"
Hibiki Tachibana     Chase is going time traveling. For all the time-related stuff that's gone on around her, Hibiki has never once done it herself. Or thought about doing it that much, either. What a weird feeling. Although, especially with the tensions lately, she wouldn't miss out on being able to help him for anything, even on short notice.

And also because, of course shit surrounding it would go wrong.

For whatever reason, she can't help but think about quite a few things that Go said, back at the boardwalk. "...Saving the Roidmudes..." Well, doing that was already on her mind, even if this wasn't the specific way she was thinking of before. But she's all for it - especially for that happy ending. Even if it means having to fight Drive.

"...A life is a life, right? So if we can save even the one--actually, wait, I didn't even think about disguises...!" Of course she hasn't. "I guess if I just put something else on after I transform...? Man, that's kind of a weird thought..."

And one she's still thinking about, as Go and friends hit the scene. Somehow, she's not surprised at all. Although, she's going to give Chase a long glance and a nudge of her shoulder, testing his response before glancing back towards them. "Uh. Good to have you guys here. And for what it's worth, yeah, I agree - this first run-in sounds way better to try and handle."
Go Shijima      Go catches the thrown jacket and gives it an evaluating glance, turning it one way, then the other.

     It's pretty cool.

He shrugs out of his white hoodie, stuffing it into his backpack and slipping on the black leather jacket in its place. "Sounds good to me," he says, snapping the lapels. Go pats the pockets of the jacket, in case there are other acoutrements to go with the disguise. "What about my face? If I go like this they'll just think I'm going through a punk phase or something."

He perks up, glancing over at Ishirou. "Good to see you in one piece again," he says, somewhat uncomfortably. He looks as if he's about to say something else, but settles instead on: "I'm all for preventing attempts on his life. This timeline sucks, though. I could care less about what happens, as long as the Roidmudes are okay, and we are, too."

Go nods at Hibiki. "That's right," he says. A life is a life, and he's not a target destroying Kamen Rider anymore. "As a matter of fact--grasshopper guy. This big thing," he says, patting the hull of the Mazine, "Is a time machine, isn't it? If it's got the gas, we should swing by and stop me from killing Gunman and his brother. As for Volt..."

He jerks a thumb Satori's way. "I'm with her. The Roidmudes need all the help they can get fending off Tomari and the Rider Services guys. Especially with how outnumbered they are. Any time we can buy, towards making people understand they're not monster..." He trails off, procuring his Driver and staring uncomfortably at it, before leaning up against the nearest wall.
Xion Xion shakes her head gently at Ishirou's question, after smiling thinly at his arrival and declaration. "We're fundamentally altering time. We don't come back to the same world afterwards. Making 'the world where Volt lived' means that everything that happened after that changes to accomodate him. In the normal timeline, Volt's death still accomplishes reviving Medic, but we're creating the world with both of them. Drive will still later be joining the Paladins, probably, so..."

Xion points at Ishirou. "You're gonna use your armor to fake being something big. You know, like, a big snake or a spider or something. Simple shapes are fine." She says, like The Obligatory Bad CGI Thing isn't already 'simple'.

Similarly, the Trio need a good disguise, but Satori seems to have that covered. "If possible, I'd use superstition to trick him - I think he's haunted, so he may think it's normal."

Hibiki's arrival is one Xion takes a longer look at, but then the noirette L's her thumb and index finger at her chin and really digs into the schemer on a disguise for Hibiki.

Then she snaps her fingers. "Maybe you could fake being Heart? You're plenty strong, and it'd make more sense if a Roidmude General showed up with all his allies to defeat Drive. Could the White Grasshopper help with that?" She asks, turning to the biological 'rider'.

Back to Go, Xion's consideringly hooked fingers stroke and scritch both cheeks at the same time. "Borrow Chase's bike helmet." She suggests. She has her own she can loan, but...

... unless...
Hamada Haru "Little lady has her own disguise. Good, saves me some effort," The White Grasshopper says. He doesn't really acknowledge the details of the plan, so he probably finds it at least acceptable. He snaps his fingers in Go's direction, "Yes, yes. I know you have stakes, it's why you're here. Anyway, those two need to survive so their daughter can be the next Drive." He's probably joking, considering that telling somebody that could derail it.

The White Grasshopper snaps his fingers and produces a shocker combatman uniform, tossing it to Ishirou. "There, wear that. Nobody will know what's going on. Anyway, being as elaborate as faking a death isn't useful. Certain things still need to happen, but them perceiving him as dead or alive doesn't really make a difference. He was always going to be a 'ghost' of a loose end to them, it'll just change some minor reaction elements."

Asked for 'clothes in their sizes', The White Grasshopper produces giant flaming skull costumes made out of polystyrene and confetti paper. This may be the best you're gonna get, if the combatman disguise is anything to go by...

Hibiki vocally ponders a costume and is also provided with a Shocker combatman uniform. There's just a box full of them sitting on the ground next to the Time Mazine, in fact.

"Oh, Rider Services doesn't usually go for core kills, that is a you guys thing," The White Grasshopper corrects, meandering over to the Time Mazine and crossing his arms over his chest. "Anyway, the machine itself is Mashin Chaser's, so he can decide what the 'next destination' is. You'll have your hands full tonight. In all, it sounds like we're going to stop Volt's 'first' death."

Asked if he could disguise Hibiki as Heart, the White Grasshopper walks over next to her and raises a hand in the air to illustrate exactly how tall Heart is.

"But we might be able to just spin it as a different universe's Heart, I guess," the White Grasshopper says, skeptically.
Xion Xion considers the size comparison from her box besides the combatmen uniform crate and Awful Movie CGI prop dispenser.

"Hmmm." There are Several Feet Missing. "I don't know, do you think he'll notice? She's got inches of spirit!" A frown follows a sigh. "No, no... he's in his smart form, so he'd notice." Defeated.
Hibiki Tachibana     "Eh? As Heart? I guess, yeah, I could fake being him pretty well when you put it like that..." Xion's suggestion gets Hibiki mulling it over thoughtfully. Would she get to shout 'Dead Zone!', not have to hold anything back, and really play it up...?

Unfortunately, reality kicks in only moments later, and the White Grasshopper moving over to her gets her to glance up at the hand hovering overhead.

She frowns. And she exhales in turn with Xion, her head turning down to look at the uniform taken straight from the 70s. Right now, she feels a deep kinship with Ishirou. "It had to be the /smart/ form..." Hibiki murmurs, bundling up the cloth in her hands.
Hellwarming Trio Utsuho and Rin both nod in agreement with Go.
"Drive's real strong, yeah. We wouldn't have been his students if he wasn't."
"He's pretty hard-headed, too, right? Kinda reminds me of somebody here."

Satori refrains from commenting on that. Instead, she considers Xion's idea about playing on superstitions and nods after a few moments. "That's... Yes, precisely. I'm glad we're on the same page there." She speaks with that same pokerface from earlier, making a bit too obvious that she totally didn't think about that at all.

Luckily, the White Grasshopper obliges with getups that save Satori from having to come up with something on the fly, and she aids Utsuho and rin in getting into those giant skull costumes. She does have to fight a bit to convince them not to set the costumes on fire ahead of time, but it's over fairly quickly after reiterating the importance of not being perceived as themselves.

Again.

"Daughter...?"
"Those two?"
"I can see it."
"Girls, please. Not in front of..." Satori deliberately avoids looking over at Go. Once again, it's really obvious she's doing that on purpose even though she's already covered up in one of those big skull costumes.
Hamada Haru "As long as people don't look STRICTLY like themselves it's probably fine. Just... put some purple streaks under your eyes, call yourself some really edgy name, people will buy you're some sort of evil replicant. This isn't even necessary for anybody who hasn't been around much," The White Grasshopper says, shrugging theatrically broadly.
Go Shijima      "Good to know," says Go to the White Grasshopper with the kind of flatness that indicates it isn't good to know at all. "All the more reason to stop Drive, I guess."

Asked to wear Chase's helmet, Go's face scrunches up in an endearingly frustrated frown, as if upset to be taken off guard by such an inocuous thing. Almost indignantly, he takes Xion's instead, and hurriedly puts it on. He was definitely thinking about putting Chase's on. Go quickly shuts the visor, so no one can see the look on his face.

     "There."
Ishirou Ishirou catches the minion outfit.  He looks at it, looks up at White Grasshopper, and then back down again.  "Why... do I get the impression I am being made fun of?" he asks, nobody in particular, and sighs.  He dips behind something to put the outfit on and already precombines with POD so that the RESCUE is over that.

Back around, he stares at Hibiki and then Xion.  "Wasn't there... that short guy?  Brain, that's it.  Hibiki could probably pass for Brain, right?" Ishirou asks.

The comment about a daughter being the next drive causes Ishirou to look up at White Grasshopper.  He can't tell if he's joking or not, so he takes this extremely seriously.  "Well... now I guess we have to be careful letting Drive know what is going to happen.."

As to Xion's explanation... "I'd say something like 'Oh multiverse theory is the correct one' but we already knew that.." hmmm... "So do we keep our memories of what happened?"
Hamada Haru "I can tell you the names of all of them if you like," The White Grasshopper fires back at Go immediately. It turns out Go is the one he's making fun of. Just Go. He clicks his tongue at Ishirou and replies, "If I was going to make fun of you, I wouldn't do it with the uniform of a neonazi organization. They're just relatively easy to get. Simple design. Dimensionally local."
Hamada Haru "Oh-- and you weren't there for the original event, so that's an irrelevant question. These guys might remember secondhand information a little differently. Don't worry about it, you get used to it after altering time a few times. Or you develop a resistance. One or the other," The White Grasshopper says, wandering around Go in a circle and then looping between the others, looking at them in a manner that might be evaluative. He's leaving out something important...

(It's that they'll have done the alteration and thus know what they changed anyway.)
Xion "Oh! Hibiki! Hibiki use your cool edgy purple form! Didn't we talk about that one? It's fine just say you're actually, uh, Another Hibiki. Yeah!" Xion finds this absolutely perfect and is quite proud of her suggestion.

Go, while she's distracted, steals Xion's black motorcycle helmet from behind her on the crate using his super speed and normally walking behind her while she talks.

Xion's motorcycle hemet is -- Go guessed it, a yellow-themed racer X helmet with a tinted visor, black on black with a yellow central stripe. The hinge points of the helmet are little silver metal X's - there's a theme. Xion used a version of this very jacket and helmet to race against Go quite a few times!

The inside of the helmet smells very faintly like a Candy Shoppe themed shampoo, soap-sweet. It's a little small for Go's head. Chase's would have fit better.
Chase      "You again."

Volt's death. One of Chase's biggest blunders, even though it should have been easy. He remembers it rather well, more than he does the usual Roidmude death. They have the power to correct it though, even if it comes with a bunch of caveats. But even so, it's better to try than to have a potential solution and do nothing at all.

The plans to use the TIME MAZINE are now underway, up until the strange time dilation effect. He's experienced it once before... Chase's voice lacks any hint of surprise when Kaito shows up. That isn't to say he isn't surprised, he is a little even though he had a good feeling it was him, he just lacks the ability to express it outside of glaring at the man. Luckily for him, he's spared the awkward staring once Chase notices that Go is here, which immediately prompts him to pull out his Mach Driver as he holds it in the air as if to threaten the Kamen Rider.

He doesn't go through with it however as more people start rolling in, deciding to instead take a 'wait and see' approach with him as he instead focuses on answering the question on 'which' Volt to save.

"Volt's ghost. I do not know how time travel works, but I would rather not damage it and somehow prolong or prevent Medic's repair in the past, given that he sacrificed himself to achieve that goal."

It's an answer that's sure to probably upset Brain, which makes it even better in Chase's mind, but ignoring that slight bit of pettiness, that's actually how he feels.

"Anyway. Get in my way, and I'll destroy you, Kamen Rider or no. That is all there is to be said from me. I hope you understand."
Hamada Haru "Not a Kamen Rider. Not really. Just a passing-through orphenoch with a kamen rider-like dream," the White Grasshopper says. Then, he gestures at the group, "But it seems your friends want to rescue the original. I'll let you in on a secret: It's fine to let the ghost do its thing while the original carries on. It's just easier to rescue the ghost than the original. You might not even have to deal with a fight! But that's not the fork your friends have chosen. Besides..."

"You want to put Tomari Shinnosuke in his place over that, right? It was your hesitation that got Volt killed in the first place," he needles, transparently. "Better to do it so he doesn't get to win at all. Right?"

Time begins to return to its normal flow. The White Grasshopper backs away, and you can't help but imagine that he's grinning. He snaps both fingers, and is gone. All that's left to do is to fire up the Time Mazine.
Hamada Haru Two seconds later, the White Grasshopper pokes his head back out from behind a trash can. "Oh yeah, can you drop that phone I gave you while you're there? Thanks!"

Then he's gone again.
Ishirou "If you say so.." Ishirou says to White Grasshopper before he leaves.  standing up and checking over his uniform again.  "Why am I always the minion.." he mutters, to nobody in particular.

He looks at Chase, who seems to be disagreeing with the group, though before he leaves White Grasshopper gives a counter point to that.  "...Well Xion seems to think we should save him and not the ghost..." he says, thinking.  "I'm inclined to agree with her.  She hasn't steered us wrong before, right?"
Xion Xion nods her head, smiling softly. "I had hoped we could think up a better plan than let Volt be destroyed, and damage the city reviving Medic, but if you think it's best, Chase, it's your Time Mazine."

Xion starts sorting a bunch of medals in her hands, picking through a keyring of things until she narrows it down to three. One seems to be worn and faded depicting a visored sort of racing helmet with an open mouthpiece, two more resonating with people in the area of dime distortion - Go and Hibiki.

Mach's Dead Heat speed and Hibiki's unstoppable strength provide a weaving first of gold, and then of red, wrapping her black underlayer and body in washed-out armor that gains vibrant color from the donor strengths. Two boots, a belt, and two thick, oversized red metallic gauntlets form over her black-and-grey underlayer that simply gains coverage, hardness, and definition and loses the flimsiness of clothes. Flaring her armored fingers through her short crop of hair, it is momentarily a rich brown before a red helmet materializes over her head, with a black visor and white-gold earcaps. Striking a casual hand-on hip pose with her right hand, Xion's left lifts to her neck and adjusts open the emergence of a gold-yellow scarf about her neck and falling down her back to her waist. "Call me - Protowoman. That'll confuse everyone. If anyone asks, I'm from the... movie timeline." She explains - and reveals why the mouthpiece on the Proto(wo)man helmet is open: so you can still see her smirk slightly when she says some smug stuff.
Hamada Haru     EVERYBODY INTO THE PAST

The Time Mazine and party emerges into the middle of a scrap yard. It is familiar, at least, to Chase. He met Volt here several times. A few yards away is the covered machine shop of the scrapyard-- or it would be if it hadn't been turned into Volt's place of experimentation. Presently, Volt stands at the mouth of the machine shop along with a bat-type roidmude, and they've just finished talking with some people who aren't visible to you from the angle you start from. You can be certain that it's Tomari and Kiriko, however.

                              DRIVE: TYPE TECHNIC!

Announces itself into the surroundings. For once, you're not the ones entering the fight getting shot at-- the opening volley is yours. More-or-less. But somebody is going to have to go free the child hostage from out from underneath Volt's contraption!
Xion Thankfully, PROTOWOMAN is fully capable of backhopping into a moving badly CGI'ed toy and then jumping back out onto the stage, smoothly making a perfect screen transition in a flash of red light to appear mid leap - only to land and address the group.

"I'll handle the kid. Stop Tomari!" Protowoman!Xion announces, bringing up their left forearm and dialing up the slide. "Actually, Go, you're with me. When I get the kid out, zip them off to someplace safe that Tomari will find. Then double back. Think up a cool line for Racer X, maybe!" A whirring-up capacitor hum vmmm!'s from her, and then with a few keypresses, she further strikes a pose. "I'm going straight to kicking Drive's ass. Speed Gear: Activate."

There aren't frames for her finishing the speed up power, only a boot-sized divot in the ground and a blur of speed, trailing a line of gold behind a body of yellow.

From the outside, it may seem like a second Drive, with extra budget behind her golden-trailed nyyyroom!, only to stop behind the Volt pylon, where the Roidmude's device is arrayed around a child! How dastardly!

Gear system overheating after the sprint of speed, Protowoman!Xion expels a blast of steam from her boots and gauntlets and the ears of her helmet, lifting her left hand with its glowing bar of weapon charge, and 'drives it into the device'--!

There is a 'shwink!' like the drawing of metal, and a 'ker-click!' like the operation of a lock, tension releasing.

--and Protowoman!Xion draws the Child Of The Episode free of the mess of cable with a smooth motion, leaving them out for a certain Racer X to spirit away. The steam clears quickly, having only existed for silhouette and style and a little mystery, and when it clears - Xion takes a step, and then another towards Tomari. "Kamen Rider of this world! You have no place in the correct reality!"

Xion just starts making villain motivation up on the spot. "And by destroying you, we'll make our designs reality. Machine Legion, attack!"

By the time Go spirits away the child, Xion's charged hand collapses into the encroachment of the golden muzzle of an arm cannon, letting loose a trio of instantly charged thick buster shots!
Hellwarming Trio Donning some fresh new skull outfits, the three yokai do what any self-respecting skulls should be doing: Start floating way ahead of anyone else actually seeing them. It's easier to move around without tripping on their costumes if they aren't walking, anyway, although they do still have some time to gawk at everyone else's outfits and also subtly inserting themselves between Chase and Go.

Moreso Rin and Satori, anyway. Utsuho's just vibing in her funny getup, and she probably wouldn't mind seeing a little brawl between the Riders as a treat. The White Grasshopper's comment on his lack of Kamen Riding, though, does get a lingering stare from Utsuho while the other two are occupied. She doesn't say anything, but she's totally starting to remember... Something? Something. Maybe.

Remembering things is hard. Getting hyped is easy, though, as Xion brings up some movie timeline. Rin and Satori put their heads together rather quickly, brainstorming skull-themed names with each other while the TIME MAZINE starts up.

"Oh, oh. How about Skull Train?"
"There's not enough of us for that. Perhaps... Skullopocalypse?"
"Too long. Oh! How about..."

Sadly, they never actually settle on a name before the Time Mazine kicks in, and they're suddenly face to face with the situation that led to Volt's untimely demise. There's a familiar callout, too, that prompts Utsuho to leap forward and hover several feet off the ground as she turns her skull costume towards the melee-to-be.

"Hahaha! Tremble, Kamen Whiner! We are.... Skullomania!" Utsuho boasts while flapping her flaming skull costume out around herself to make it look even bigger.
Rin and Satori, meanwhile, exchange skeptical glances before shrugging and flanking Utsuho in the sky.
"We've come for revenge!"
"We know what you did."

And then they begin firing! Literally, even, as Utsuho and Rin start spreading smaller flames around the scrap yard, creating an impressive looking (yet well controlled and safely-ish) burning backdrop to the battlefield as Satori releases a massive barrage of colorful magic orbs into the sky that shine in the light of the flames before descending on drive. Although each one isn't individually dangerous, they're relying more on sheer amount of moving lights and bullets to both hammer Drive with plain volume while also distracting him from what Protowoman is doing with The Child!
Ishirou Ishirou, on the other side of the time, looks around.  Already, he and POD are scanning the area.  First off, plotting a course for Xion and Go to the hostage.  He's looking for traps, unexpected interference, and the like.  Next, he looks at the battlefield itself.  The idea would be to make sure Xion and Go can do their thing without either side knowing, while also preserving the life of Volt.

OPTIONs fly out, each one hovering behind a member of the team.  They have a skull motif this time because they're pretending to be EVIL.  However, in this action aid for Xion and Go are calculated, aiming to try and make sure their actions are enhanced.

Ishirou appears at Xion's call.  So he needs something that'll be cool... but also in flavor.  He has it.  POD, in a deeper voice, calls out: 'WING FORM'.

The RESCUE unit takes on the appearance of a jet-black bird.  There is a bird screech followed by POD calling out 'CONDOR.  B-B-BLACK CONDOR.  OH NO!'  Pieces of the flight unit fly out, and Ishirou leaps to each one, connecting them to each arm, hand, and eventually his head.  Which is a condor-looking motif.  Also a skull.

Then he shoots missiles.  They're actually feathers, but they're REALLY missiles.  "Sorry, Drive.." he says under his breath.
Go Shijima      "That guy... he really likes to rub it in, doesn't he?" Go asks bitterly, as the White Grasshopper disappears. Go procures a pair of fingerless, studded leather gloves from the pocket of the jacket. They really match the vibe.

The Time Mazine is cramped, and 'Racer X' endures the ride in awkward silence. Emerging into the scrapyard, he stretches, arms spread out before bringing them back in to clench and unclench his right fist dramatically. His left hand carries the FiveS shift car.

"Right," he calls back to Xion. RacerX!Go twirls the greeble across his fingers, before bouncing it to the right hand and forming an 'X' with his forearms crossed, one over the other. "Masked Racer... X! Henshin!" The sun glints off of his helmet as the FiveS car is slotted into his Mach Driver and slammed with both fists.

Sleek, aerodynamic armor appears overtop his body, but Go is already a blur as he moves to keep pace with Xion. Dust and scrap are kicked up in a dramatic plume behind him, the Driver's rev resounding through the scrapyard and into Volt's workshop.

Once Xion frees her, the Masked Racer gives the kid a two-finger salute. "Let's get you to safety!" He scoops the Child of the Episode up, and races back through the scrapyard, easily scaling junked cars and the fence enclosing it, to zip down highways towards the one place he's sure Tomari will check--the DMV. The Masked Racer shoulder-checks the door to the chief's office, sending it flying off of its frame, and deposits the child, giving a nod to the no-doubt flustered Lt. Otta before zipping back the way he came.

Making the SCENE TRANSITION back to the scrapyard, he gives the catchphrase for his persona.

"Kamen Rider--you'll cross the finish line in pieces!"
Hibiki Tachibana     "Hah!? Another Hibiki--!?" Hm. "I can't go around calling myself /that/. I mean, it fits I guess, but..." Hm. "I don't exactly have the ability to just bring out other forms to use anytime and anywhere I want like you guys, either..." Hm.

There's an oddly high amount of throat clearing and mumbling and fidgeting and vague excuse-making as she makes her preparations for the Time Mazin firing up, even as Protowoman strikes poses right behind her.

Now that she thinks about it, there's the forbidden Driver that Phreak developed, too. But that's an absolute last resort in this time travel journey.

    ...
        ...

It is perhaps a sign of extreme camaderie with Ishirou that Hibiki has ultimately deigned to not leave him to be the only person walking around in Shocker classic. Mook designs only work in multiples after all. Take off some of the bulkier parts of her usual fighting gear, and it doesn't even look off!

He better appreciate this. /She/ doesn't have a giant robot to do callouts for her, after all.

Just like Drive will need to appreciate these hands, as Good Future Hibiki (who is sadly not a participant in the Super Hero Taisen GP timeline) quite literally enters frame with a flying kick sent straight at Drive from the side! They have to nab all the attention they can while Xion is doing her thing, after all.

Which also means that she has to do a dramatic, non-wire-assisted flip backwards after, and struggle to not default to her usual stance while sideglancing towards the Skullomania Trio. "E-Exactly! A mere single Kamen Rider like you can do nothing but accept defeat, and make way for our future! The future that is--"

Hold on. Should they be introducing themselves as Skull-something, or the Machine Legion? Both? Oh, whatever.
Xion Don't worry, Protowoman!Xion is armed with the ultimate power of once having the Robot Posting ability of Doctor Wily!

"The Future that will come when machine life is free - the liberation of the Machine Skull Legion!" Of course it's a 'Skull' Legion, haven't you seen a WilySkull?
Chase      "If it does not matter which we save..."

With his main concern about going too far back addressed, saving the actual Volt is a lot more appealing prospect. It is also, as Kaito said, the best way to make up for his previous failure.

Now in the past, and outside of the Time Mazine, Chase recognizes the current scene quite well. How couldn't he? He was there for it. For now, he'll leave the hostage to Xion, but at this moment...

He once again grabs hold of his Mach Driver, his grip on it unusually tight as he stares at it. No. It isn't right. For multiple reasons, and not just because of the timeline.

Now instead reaching for his Break Gunner, Chase runs towards the scene, slamming the muzzle of his weapon into his palm as he does so as he quickly transforms into Mashin Chaser in a flash of purple.

     "Tomari Shinnosuke!"

Mashin Chaser calls out Drive's name as he rushes him down, a free hand outstretched as he attempts to grab onto the Kamen Rider's chestplate as he aims to grapple him in place.

     "You will be stopped today."
Hamada Haru                                   "... HUH?!"

This summarizes the totality of Kamen Rider Drive (Technic) and Kiriko's reactions to the appearance of everyone, as well as the sudden arrival of somebody to free the child episode child. Kiriko ducks out of the way of "Protowoman", looking absolutely baffled but completely disinclined to do anything about her on account of the fact that she's saving the hypothetical vapor child.

"Correct... reality? Machine Legion?!" Kamen Rider Drive rubs at the side of his helmet. "Do you know th--" He's about to ask Volt if he knows these people but he gets shot at, summoning the Door Gun to hand and ablating some of the force of the shots in a shower of sparks. "H-hey, I don't even know you!"

"Machine Legion? Could it be that another robot rebellion has gotten wind of the roidmudes and decided to give them aid?" Mr. Belt wonders, with a >_< face displayed prominently on Drive's belt display.

Drive snaps the Door Gun about and fires quickly back at Xion before sprinting forward and beginning to dive towards the exit, ducking into a roll that he comes out of at the mouth of the workshop and pushes himself hastily back to his feet, sparks bursting from his back as the flames catch him along his journey. He gets out of them hastily, and brings the door gun back about to generate a momentary energy shield that absorbs the feather-missiles.

"H-hold on, what did I do that you're supposed to know?!" He demands. His return fire is automatic and machine-precise, scattering shots between Xion, Ishirou, and the Trio rapidly.

The bafflement just escalates with "Masked Racer X", who gets a very odd look out of Kiriko, but who doesn't initially end up shot at by either of them because he's carrying a child. On the other hand, the precise moment that Masked Racer X reappears, Technic seems to autopilot Tomari into shooting at him as he pops up.

Mr. Belt's avatar changes to a more pensieve expression.

"Hold on, this has to be some kind of misunderstand--" says Tomari Shinnosuke, man who has been casually executing robots for the last several months, before he is kicked by Hibiki directly into a pile of trash in a veritable geyser of sparks.

Volt drops out of his roidmude form, returning to that of an diminuitive though still spry-looking older man. He makes a thoughtful noise, "Machine Legion, eh? Well... the boy's a bit of a problem, but trading him for 'Kamen Rider' is a bargain if I ever heard one. Still, I wonder..."

Mashin Chaser reaches into the pile of scrap in which Tomari was deposited and draws him out. Ordinarily this could be quite violent, but rather than gripping something dangerous like a neck he ends up pulling him out be the forearm. However, Drive is still properly GRABBED.

At precisely that moment there is a sound of car horns as a pair of hot wheel-sized SHIFT CARS -- Amazing Circus and Midnight Shadow -- create rising tracks that bring them barreling down towards Chase and Hibiki. This is a more serious challenge than the visual suggests, of course. But there's definite possible flaws in things.
Ishirou Counter shots go flying, and explosions go off in the background of DARK CONDOR SKULL, causing the RESCUE and its pilot to crash land.  Ishirou is forced back into humanoid form, and out of flight mode to avoid bigger damage, and instead smashes into a car.  Hovering, now close to the ground, Ishirou attempts to rise into the air.

But not before he calculates something.  He's gotten enough data on Drive and how he fights, as well as all the time he's spent with Go.  Now all he has to do is...

Right.  This form might be smart, but he's smart too.  It enhances himself, but he can enhance others.  He sends a blast of data toward Hibiki, aiming to present a plan of attack.  All she needs to do is follow his directions.

Ishirou dives down, drawing a rapier and attempting to engage Drive.  He thrusts, dashes, and thrusts again.  His attempt is to get Drive to try and counter with his own weapon.  Ishirou flips, aiming to try and get behind him so that he turns to face him.  Ishirou moves to try and lock the blades... and give Hibiki the opening.
Go Shijima      Masked Racer X brings up a forearm guard, its swept curves and red racing stripes an homage to the golden age of gumball rallies. Sparks fly from the armor, but the fighter's black-gold X-visor is focused entirely on Drive. His hand whips to a black energy pistol which is definitely not the conveniently disguised Zenrin Shooter, and returns fire with his own rude three-tap, before landing with a grunt of pain and a roll.

"Your Special Division and your white rider ally--!!" Rising to a stand, he becomes a black blur, accelerating to blinding speed in an instant to leap over Chase and attack the incoming Shift Cars with a flying cross kick as they attempt to intercede. "The order you enforce is the cold silence of the grave, nothing more!" Go is a natural showman--so getting 'into character' is easier for him than most. It helps if it comes from a place of sincerity.

Masked Racer X dials in a quick code on the rotary dialpad of his transformation device. Twirling the not!Zenrin Shooter for an extra bit of flair, he shoots a hardlight legally distinct Octagonal Stop Sign at the Shift Cars, to further slow them up.

"Krim Steinbelt..." he says, looking over his shoulder. "Your children cry out for justice!"
Hellwarming Trio "Psst. Hey, master. What'd he do?"
"Nothing at all."
"Then why'dja say that?!"
"It sounded fitting."

After a brief bit of in-battle commiseration between themselves, the trio is forced to split up as the Door Gun proves to be every bit as effective against them as Utsuho and Rin remembered it being. Being on the receiving end of the shots certainly isn't fun, and they have to do a lot of weaving to not get blasted too badly as the impacts draw more of those flashy sparks in return, but it's still an opportunity to engage in mid-air acrobatics along with their threatrics.

They just need to hope their costumes last long enough to get through this battle before they need to fall back or risk having their identities exposed.

"Not bad at all! But the combined power of our Machine Skull Legion will be the end of you!"
"Uh. Psst. We just need to stop him, right?"
"It'll be alright. We can piece him back together once we're finished."

With Utsuho and Satori getting a little too into the act, they combine their efforts into a different sort of team attack this time: Shining magic blasts wreathed in flames. Like before, they don't fly straight at Type Technic, but they instead start spiraling around and closing in on him in a generally threatening existence of impending fire/magic damage. Notably, however, the bullets slow down whenever one of the yokai's companions are too close, as though they're being wary of involuntarily striking their allies with these shots!

Rin, meanwhile, bides her time as she starts conjuring flaming wisps in the air further above, letting them linger ominously in the air for the time being.
Hibiki Tachibana     Great save, Xion...! Machine Skull Legion. That rolls off the tongue.

Hibiki also finds that hitting Kamen Riders doesn't feel as weird as she thought after all of her run-ins with that jerk Genm. Nice.

Although fighting Drive in particular is a new one, especially with the Shift Cars working against them. Unfortunately, she is not the greeble-stealer here - and the tracks coming down and boxing her in catches her just off-guard long enough that she gets slammed into by a plastic car, hard enough to send her up and off of her feet.

But catching yourself and combat rolling onto a knee is standard fare, and she lets out a slightly pained huff before pushing back up at the same moment Ishirou sends information her way. Alright...! "There's no misunderstanding! You've been making mistakes for a long while now, and now--the Machine Skull Legion acts!" As long as she doesn't think about what she's saying, it's fine.

And that's real easy to do when she's being set up, making a spinning leap through the air not to kick Drive again - but to land directly in front of the Kamen Rider, and rear back for a devastating punch to center mass! Right behind it is another arm reaching out to stop him before the force sends him away, simply to pull him back in for a vicious knee into another punch, into a headbutt.

Sparks will fly (literally) from this heavyhanded combo, even though she's refrained from any of her usual dramatics. This is the life of a Combatman - plus, Chase and Go are the ones who deserve to lay on the real hits. She's just softening him up for that sake.
Xion "You're already successful, Volt. The Kamen Rider flares their power when they can ride a strong emotion - don't let them ride cheap indignance to enough power to stop you. Make them force you with the force in their hearts." Protowoman!Xion suggests to Volt, baffled in the moment. A little 'villain' comraderie never hurt, and...

Teachable moments were few and far between. Cleaning up your act for a reason might just help Volt! Orrrrr make him a terror. But Xion prefers saying nice things, so, Volt gets a little positive encouragement.

It's not the best idea to go 'pchew pchew pchew!' and then stand there jawing at a gawking villain -- Protowoman gets shot back and takes long frames of 'agh!' and 'ack!' as she's blasted back. More shots bounce off the sudden activation of a gold-rimmed red tower shield, which Proto!Xion pushes forward behind, firing a shot or two as the combatmen goon about with their swooping condor and their powerful hands. Even charged up as she is, the shots are just the lead-in to force Tomari to handle more things while Racer X closes in.

"Despair is waiting for you behind your finish line, Drive--!" Xion grows, transitioning from shooty-shield to a lunging shield bash that spins into a series of kicks, ending in a rising uppercut, aiming down with her buster, and firing an overcharged shot downwards that detonates into a point-blank explosion!

"So you'll just have to learn to lose a race!"
Chase      Mashin Chaser lets go of Drive to shield himself from the onslaught of two very tiny plastic cars. Amazing Circus attack finds purchase, sending a very tiny shower of sparks as it drives on past, but unfortunately for Midnight Shadow, the Grim Reaper is able to simply power through enough to where he's able to reach out and grab it, slotting the unwilling Shift Car into his Break Gunner as it loudly announces:

     TUNE - MIDNIGHT SHADOW

Now leveling the barrel of his gun at Drive, Chaser pulls the trigger several times, the weapon releasing several spinning energy shurikens that propel themselves at the INTJ Rider. As he continues to fire his awful ninja projectiles.
Hamada Haru There is a problem with attacking Type Technic repeatedly and then circling it to try to get it to turn around: It does not need to turn around. Ishirou connects several times, circles around, and finds himself observing a face on the back of Technics' head. Rather than turning, Kamen Rider Drive flips his gun and fires it behind him seamlessly. Presently, he's also still partially restrained by Mashin Chaser, so he's not too capable of going anywhere just yet.

"Hold on-- they've been hurting people! What were we supposed to do?" Tomari asks Go, but it's clear that his interest is piqued.

Mr. Belt returns to his >_< face. "It's most unfortunate how things turned out, however..." They can't be remedied with the living roidmudes, he seems to be implying.

The pair of Shift Cars are slowed down. Technic manages to work his grasped arm free of Chase's control enough to grab AMAZING CIRCUS, slapping the car into his shift brace. The resulting tire is... goofy-looking! With some difficulty Drive pumps the shift brace twice, prompting the colorful tire on his chest to begin projecting a wildly different locale than is actually there. Piles of garbage look like nothing, or like circus tents, and other solid structures have been replaced by other circus-or-fair themed things. On the whole, the surroundings just become unreliable to deal with.

Hibiki in the meanwhile simply punches him a lot. A lot harder than a combatman should be able to! He staggers backwards into the junk pile he had been launched into previously, currently masquerading as an animal cage off of the front of an animal cracker box.

There is a SCREEEEEECH of tires as a red sports car comes barreling through the junkyard, smashing through piles of scrap (that do not look like piles of scrap) and turning into a wide swipe at Hibiki's side.

Kamen Rider Drive tries to give ground into the junk, only to be bludgeoned with a shield, kicked several times, upercut, and finally shot with a PROTO STRIKE which is unfair in every game that it appears in. An enormous shower of sparks illuminates the junkyard, and Drive is left kneeling on the ground with electricity crackling across the surface of his increasingly damaged suit.

Immediately, TRIDORON turns and opens fire on Xion with its forward guns, barreling forward and swinging so that one of its doors is adjacent to Drive. Finally, a sequence of SHADOW SHURIKENS plow into him from Mashin Chaser and, finally, Tomari Shinnosuke experiences a BELT-OUT. He falls forward onto the ground, scuffed and bloody, hands balled into fists.

"Shinnosuke, get in!" Mr. Belt urges.

The person who is most closely positioned to finish Tomari off is, probably to no one's surprise, Chase. However...

"Chase! I know you're not a killer, stop it or he'll die!" Kiriko calls, emerging at the edge of the workshop with her gun held tentatively in hand. She doesn't think it'll do any good, but she's prepared to use it even if it'll buy a moment.

Volto glances at Kiriko and then meanders out towards Protowoman, scratching at his cheek. "Your advice isn't bad, of course. But I'm plenty able to endure the brunt of this brat's self-righteous fury. You three--"

He gestures at Utsuho, Rin, and Satori. "You're a little different from the others. All that whispering... but you seem to have a form of the heaviness yourself. Or are you slowing those bullets down manually?"

There is a high buzz from the workshop and a sudden silence in the surrounding town and city as the power goes out, concentrating into the pylon that Drive was trying to attack mere moments ago.

"Mmm! Well, well... even if I could endure him, having everything go smoothly is always better," Volt says, smiling crookedly. "I never thought the Grim Reaper would come around on my methods, either..."
Ishirou Eyes in the back of his head...  oh no!

Ishirou is shot, really badly, and goes flying from the shot.  He rolls across the ground smoking and comes to a stop face down.  Groaning, he lays there for a moment, barely holding on to his transformation.  However...

'Hold on-- they've been hurting people!  What were we supposed to do?'
'It's most unfortunate how things turned out, however...'

Ishirou snaps to his feet, suddenly awake.  Suddenly motivated, despite his injuries.  His eyes blazing underneath that minion outfit.  He walks up towards Shinnosuke, grabbing him by the hand and turning him around.  His eyes blazing, as he speaks from the heart.

"What were you supposed to do?!  Start by pulling your head out of your ass, they're beings who are victims just as much as the people they are hurting.  THEY need help... and you're here killing them.  They don't understand entirely what they are doing BECAUSE of what happened..." he says, viciously, as he stares down at Krim.  "Or are you so stuck up on your own pride that you'd rather sacrifice them instead of walking the harder road?"

Ishirou's sword is back in his hand, and he slashes down.  Already he's sending data to Go.  While Ishirou is good at starting, he's better at setting up.  Go would be the one that would need to drive this lesson through... and maybe reach out to who he is trying to.

"It's never too late to start trying, to pick up your mistakes... but every moment you spend not doing that makes it harder and harder.  People suffer, rather they are roidmule or human."
Go Shijima      Masked Racer X answers Drive with a clenched fist, gauntlet creaking with the force of his grip as he swings it angrily to the side. His helmet bobs vehemently as he speaks. "Stop them, if your justice tells you to--but they'll never be better if they're dead!"

Krim's response, meanwhile, draws a furious rebuke. "SHUT UP!" Go bleeds through the persona of Masked Racer X. His fingers angrily race across the dialpad. "Of course you would say that--the man who built a tool for destroying his own creations! A fist is easier than an open hand, is that it?!" He catches himself, before he can let his anger get the better of him, as it has so many times before, and lowers the disguised Zenrin Shooter, just as Kiriko comes out to intervene.

His helmet whips between the two of them, Chase and his sister. "What's 'unfortunate' is that the Roidmudes had a coward and a sadist for parents. You turned your back on them when they needed you the most--and when they cried out in pain you made a *weapon* to silence them."

In an instant, Masked Racer X crosses the battlefield, giving Volt a shove. "Get going, Volt. We're needed elsewhere."

"Kiriko Shijima--if you really believe Mashin Chaser isn't a killer, put that gun down. It isn't necessary."
Xion Xion lands after her downward barrage gives her extreme air, falling to a crouch and rising slowly. When the hotrod red of Tridoron drifts through the scrapyard and barrages at her, the shielded warrior disappears in thick clouds of pyrotechnics and smoke. She could reappear, but for long moments, she doesn't.

'What were we supposed to do?' - is almost too easy. It's almost giving. Tomari Shinnousuke is a certain kind of man, who will ride his feelings back home - to justify himself, and his power, and his mission. His faith in Krim Steinbelt, and his status as a soldier of humanity, mean he will never *really* listen to Mashin Chaser, never *really* listen to Xion, never *really* listen to Heart on the matters of Roidmude.

And it is so, that on this day, and no later one, the final fate of Roidmude was decided - the scrap heap, in one timeline. Something else, in another.

Protowoman reappears in the smoke, sizzling with Speed Gear energy as another blast of steam heralds her reappearance and the cycling of the superspeed burst. Besides Volt, she has a few more words, and an explanation: "For the fate of your race, a race under attack, threatened by extinction, sometimes a plan can't fail. Volt - you only made one mistake, so it's been corrected. Try not to waste this chance, or the Machine Skull Empire might have to come for you." Protowoman!Xion smiles lightly to Volt and his crooked smile, though... Knowing the truth of the future, with the child safely sent away, really there was only one thing left to do.

"'Or he'll die'? Why should that stop Chaser - even if it does?!" Protowoman questions the group of Drive Pit rider, belt, and buddy. "You came here to kill someone! One of his race, of a mere one hundred and eight! Mr. Belt... I see through your lies - you've selected the good soldier who will never question his mission of eradication, only the missions of those he's sent against! Ask yourself, for a protector, *why* does the Grim Reaper's power not kill, and yours do?"

Protowoman, buster raised, has the muzzle crackle with inner light, and then dim. She doesn't have Chase's angle, but she's already proven she has all sorts of firepower - and even Tridoron didn't phase her. Truly, some sort of busted movie villain!

"Racer X." Protowoman!Xion asks simply, lowering her buster arm and turning to the masked man. "You can show her why they should listen to you. Who's joined my 'Machine Skull Legion'. After a long road, after everything, there's really only one right answer." A smirk. "Give them what they begged for, Racer X. The truth."

The truth of who's wearing that helmet.
Hellwarming Trio "We do?"
"We do."
"We do! We are the... Uh. Spirits of vengeance for the fallen Roidmudes!"
"We are?!"

Of the three, only Satori seems to get the hint from Volt as to the nature of their attacks. Rin and Utsuho are more than willing to play along once more openings are created for them to play along, at least, although their barrage of flames and flame-adjacent blasts gets interrupted as Type Technic starts turning the whole battlefield into a freaky circus. Many of their shots end up going wide while the illusions take advantage and blast them from multiple directions, sending the three of them flying back uncontrollably for several moments.

By the time they get their bearings straight again, parts of their costumes are considerably worse for wear, and between the three of them? There's about one and a half full flaming skull costumes to work with. Not missing a beat, though, the yokai start flying in a tighter formation with each other, inadvertently creating a rather grotesque skull-like thing consisting of the top half of one and two partial-bottom halves at funky angles.

"Fight for justice, not for revenge!"
"Is...? Y-Yeah! Or we'll get revenge against you for the... Roidmudes! And Orphenochs!"
"And... We'll haunt you in your dreams. You'll never sleep more than half a night again at this rate."

With their warnings issued, they finally combine their powers into one more big lightshow to cover their escape. The loitering flames in the air finally begin to move, swirling about in the air like a rain of cherry blossoms if all of them were on fire. They converge into a single point, slowly growing into a larger ball of fire (thanks to Utsuho) that looks like it could very well rain down actual fire on the whole scrap yard-turned circus, or just turn it into a sea of flames outright. It pulses dangerously at first, shrinks one more time, then expands once more into a giant flaming skull that chases after the Tridoron briefly before burning itself out with a brief pop of colorful orbs.
Go Shijima      Go looks over his shoulder at Protowoman, then turns slowly to face Kiriko. He presses the button on his disguised Mach Driver, the transparent chamber popping up. There is no homage to the sport of racing in the belt-out's sound--only the chillingly familiar sound of a chipper AI.

                                    Good Work!

Two black leather, fingerless gloves rise slowly up and lift the bike helmet up. Auburn hair spills out, and Go looks his sister dead in the eye. "Kiriko. Our father was evil. But not for the reasons we thought." His voice is shaky. "He made the Roidmudes in the image of people he knew--people he thought were responsible for his unhappiness, or his failures. And he tortured them."

Go takes a shuddering breath, his fingers digging into the soft protective padding on the interior. "And Krim *knew,* and he didn't do a THING!" He wheels around, hurling the helmet at Tridoron. "So don't you *dare* imply there's no other way. You, or Tomari. You didn't even *try,* Krim. And Tomari, for a detective you sure didn't think to ask him many questions." Go clenches and unclenches his fist.

"Chase. Protowoman. Everyone--are we done here?" he asks coolly.
Hibiki Tachibana     Oh. That's right. Kamen Rider Drive doesn't have a bike. He has a car.

Two seconds after this realization, Hibiki Tachibana is hit by a fast-moving vehicle and goes sailing through the air.

Thankfully, she's built of tough enough stuff that she'll be just fine after she pulls herself out of some old scrap, a few tears in her temporary uniform to mark it. What she emerges back out to is a pretty tension-filling-the-air situation...with even Kiriko bringing out a weapon.

This is Chase and Go's--no, it's Xion's time too. And while that's fine, and she's not exactly going to go punch in the Tridoron's hood herself right this exact moment (maybe one of those guns, though), she has at least one word to get in herself.

"If it's unfortunate how things happened--that's when you do your best to fix the problem, without having to hurt more people! I get that that's never easy at all...especially when they're doing a lot of hurt, too. But put some thought into /why/ they're doing what they do, before you take a life!"

Oh. Wait. She kind of broke character for a moment there. Uh.

"...Or else your life will be the one taken, Kamen Rider! Those who have no respect for it have no place in the future created by the--...the..."

Nope, she doesn't have truly faking it in her with this much genuine emotion going around - and as Xion motions for Racer X to de-helmet, and Go Shijima is revealed to the world, she trails off and looks between him and Chase. The latter, especially. "...Chase?" She's doubling up on his question - if he's satisfied with this.
Hamada Haru "I don't know how to fix them," Mr. Belt finally says, in frustration. "and without the ability to destroy them, the battle to do ANYTHING about them is a battle of attrition that can never be won! When disabling them was the best thing we could do, Proto Drive was the one who paid the price in the end. How could I sacrifice others to an enemy that offered up death to those who could not kill them already?!"

"Ohh? I'm not needed elsewhere at all," Volt says, strolling up to the electricity pylon and retrieving the plate that's embedded in it. He passes it to 103, who has been gawking all this time. 103 unfurls his wings and flies off into the sky, headed -- inevitably -- towards Heart... and Medic.

Kiriko's gun is not angled at Chase. Actually, it's closest to being trained on Volt, but is actually aimed slant-ways towards the ground. She looks more confused than surprised that it's Go in that suit, though. She frowns, glancing towards Tridoron. "You don't... need to convince me that the roidmude aren't all bad, Go. I know they're not. And Krim does too, even though he's too hurt to ever show it."

"And I thought you were, too," she adds, pryingly.

Tomari has been owned too thoroughly and is actually unconscious in Tridoron, laid out across the seats. It turns tail and gets the hell out of there, because there's really nothing else Krim or Tomari can do.

Volt walks up to Mashin Chaser and pats him on the shoulder. "Your... change of heart... is appreciated, grim reaper. And I'm sure Heart will be pleased with the results," he says, before finally turning and beginning to make his way out through a gap in the fence.
Ishirou Ishirou sighs...

'I don't know how to fix them,'

How many times did he think like this?  That people and their problems could be something he could just fix if he knew the right things.

Go speaks, and reveals who he is.  He looks at Go, letting him speak and get his heart out.  Taking a breath, Ishirou places a hand on Go's shoulder.  Silently, giving him support.  There isn't anything that NEEDS to be said, just that he has his support.

However, to Krim... to one person who thinks as he does to another... he sends a message via the radio.  "People aren't something you can just fix, nor should you.  They're suffering, they have a twisted view of the world because of how they were brought into it.  It's not about stopping them, it's about trying to heal the pain caused.  Both by Go's father and also by your inaction.  Stop using a good man for your self-imposed solution."

"Otherwise... when he finds the truth out, and hears it from someone else he'll resent you.  Please, if not for yourself, or the roidmudes, then for /him/."

With that, he stops talking and sucks in a breath.  Of course, he thinks, he should practice what he preaches to others.
Chase 'I know you're not a killer'

Mashin chaser flinches at those words, visibly trying to power through them as his movements stutter and grind to an eventual halt. It's just like last time. Why does she do this to him? Even though he's technically done what he set out to do, he still feels like he's failed, especially given that he needs other people to even try to refute Kiriko.

Well, his quiet seething aside, at the very least, Heart will be happy that Volt's alive now. The scientist places a hand on his shoulder, which is enough to unlock Mashin Chaser's body as he simply shrugs off the pat.

"My heart remains the same as it always has. Try not to die this time, there is at least one person who cares about you."

Chase doesn't bother correcting his wording even though he caught it, if only because it's not that out of place for him to say. 'Death' for a Roidmude is a bit weird, after all.
Go Shijima      Go turns his back, on both his sister and the Tridoron, eyes boring holes into the ground. "People change, if they're given the chance." Does he mean that to be directed at Kiriko, or Krim? It suits either one of them, as a response. "If they have a reason to." He looks up, his eyes then flicking towards 'Protowoman.' There's warmth, there--and in his heart, too.

"Kiriko..." Go turns once more, to face her, so that she can see the determined look in his eye. "Please try to get through to Krim and Tomari. There's someone in this time who's trying to do the same for me. But those two..." They're the sorts to need to hear it from every angle. From a Go, Ishirou and Xion of the future--and from the Kiriko of the 'present.' "You know how they are."

"We're doing our best, too. And we're not done, either. But we have to go now." Go takes a step backwards, then another, turning around and filing in next ot Chase, wordlessly awaiting the next temporal jaunt.
Hamada Haru Kiriko hesitates for a moment. Then, putting her gun away, she says, "It's not fair to judge Krim for solutions he didn't have and approaches that don't make sense for him to have taken. He tried the gentler way, even if it wasn't on purpose." Her gaze shifts towards Chase, for a moment, then back to Go.

"If you want things to be gentler, the best solution is a gentler hero. You seem to know... more. So I think you know who that is, here," she concludes, finally making her exit.

    OFF IN THE DISTANCE...

There is an ice cream truck. Two humagears are operating it; one more animated and engaging, the other more mechanical and rigid, though both have the identical appearance of a long-haired young man. The pair serve two parfaits to a customer and then begin taking another one's order.

The sharper-looking of the two stares at the distant junkyard, blinking slowly.
