Hamada Haru     SEATTLE, WASHINGTON
    THE PAST...

Professor Harley Hendrickson is the creator of the Mach Driver system, and represents the North American branch of Krim Steinbelt's operation. Such a thing was necessitated as a consequence of roidmude spread, and as it happens the shortest flights in the world from Japan to the United States happen to be in Seattle. Not coincidentally, Hendrickson also happens to be the scientist who created Kamen Rider Super-1.

His facility is disguised (but not really disguised, as it actually is also that thing) as a motorcycle repair shop near Tacoma harbor, a place that Go Shijima in particular is well-acquainted with. The Time Mazine deposits all comers just outside in the evening hours, as the sun sinks towards the horizon.

Volt is here, along with his pair of assistants. He waves at the party and meanders off around the other side of the building, "We're going to go make certain that 'Go' does not encounter 'Go'. We'll be back shortly to help you calm down our mutual friend."

Several people that "future" Go knows now to be roidmudes are meandering down the street. The one at the lead of them is 017, an advanced roidmude with a specialty of guns. He also, rather unfortunately, notices the suspicious gathering and starts things earlier than would otherwise have transpired. 017 is barely transformed into his true state by the time he starts firing shots on the assembled party.

Go in particular is aware that if the fight migrates inside, it's likely to still result in his friend being killed that caused a part of his grudge with the roidmude in general -- and 017 in particular -- to begin with. There's actually probably a chain of problems that get solved with this modification.
Ishirou There are...

So many places Ishirou wants to be right now.  You couldn't tell by his expression, which is a resounding smile and trying to keep up with things happening.  He's recording everything in a holo pad that is being projected by POD.  So the point is to stop Go from losing a person close to him, so as to reverse future acts...

Ishirou is worried that this could change Go himself.  Would he remember needing to go into the past?  Would he be another Go?  Would... that other Go have invited him to live with him after Indus?  He...

No.  Stop.  This is about Go.  How could you even think about that?  Even if it changed history... Go would be in a better place, and a lot of people's lives would be saved.  He swallows but continues to show anything but fear or anxiety.  That's for him to fear later...

When they start being attacked, Ishirou barely has time to get into the RESCUE unit before he's shot and falls to the ground rolling into cover.  The damage is pretty intense, and he's already in pain.  But... well he can't back down now.  He pokes his head out.  They can't let them get inside... and have to keep things to a dull roar out here.

He looks at who is available...

Okay.  An OPTION unit flies out from his unit, and hovers above Chase's shoulder.  He's sharing data with him, trying to coordinate suppression fire on the Roidmudes who are attacking, as well as telemetry data for the area that will let him get close without getting hurt and provide the best defense for the place.

Ishirou himself is in fact, firing suppression shots.  Trying to draw fire away, and moves his position to keep fire away from the facility.  Lives will be saved, Roidudes will be saved from their cruel fate, and Go... Go will have a better future.  He swallows.  It's fine.
Hellwarming Trio "This is Professor Harley's place? Huh. Thought it'd be... Fancier."
"Right? I thought professors were supposed to be all coated up and workin' in science labs."
"Not if he's trying to keep a low profile. Come on now. We don't have much time."

Ever since coming to the surface, opportunities to help non-humans have been relatively rare for the trio of yokai. With rescuing the Roidmudes from the past being their primary objective this time around, their spirits are raise and their moods bright despite the sun setting with their arrival. Floating along to try and find the Roidmude in question, they nod firmly at Volt's plan before putting their own heads together for some kind of battle planning.

"We push them back and lure them away. Whatever it takes to keep them away from this place."
"What's the pl-"
"Hehe. She got you again."

Just in time, 017 arrives and gets the jump on the assembled crew, drawing various forms of surprised noises from the trio: Irritated grunting from Utsuho, startled screeching from Rin, and passive disdain from Satori. The first of the group takes a defensive position in front of the three with her wings flapping outwards, acting as a living shield for her master and the kasha while calling up a wall of flames to burn up some of the shots coming their way. She doesn't make any noises at some of those shots still hitting their mark, though, opting instead to tough it out and start gathering fire into her arm-covering control rod.

As per the plan, though just firing wildly isn't enough! No, Utsuho actually goes with the plan, letting the fire flare up around her control rod as she starts flying towards 017. Lasers streak from the rod at the ground in front of 017, creating bursting pillars of flame moments of later that'll surely make it a pain to advance in that direction. Rin joins in the charge, throwing up wisps around the sides of those flame pillars, not quite on a collision course with the Roidmude right away, but certainly providing enough flash and flame from the sides that it'd be dangerous to move anywhere but backwards!

Satori, meanwhile, just starts floating higher to get a better lay of the land. Notably, she's watching the motorcycle shop (false) for movement, acting as a convenient early warning system should Volt's plan go awry.
Go Shijima      Go gives Volt a thumbs up--his brow furrowing after as his hand falls to his side. "Thanks," he says, mostly to himself.

His eyes scan the street, keeping a lookout as he's leaned against the exterior of the motorcycle shop. He's wearing a cool exterior--but Xion and Satori can tell, easily, that he's incredibly anxious. He locks eyes with 017, and between heartbeats, his eyes widen as he watches the Roidmude go for a gun.

Go's body surges forward like a spring, as he crosses the sidewalk to put a traffic light pole between himself and the Roidmude, the rubber on his shoe soles squeaking as he runs up the length and springs off in an agile, high-flying backflip. "Got it," he says to Satori.

The Zenrin Shooter--a heavy white laser pistol with a large wheel at its front--is procured as he descends, his finger feathering the trigger.

He's not shooting -at- 017, or at his fellow Roidmude. Rather, he's shooting around them, to corral them away from the shop and towards some other cover. When his feet hit the ground, he hurriedly equips the Mach Driver, and slams the FiveS Shift Bike into the transparent chamber atop it.

"Let's..." His right arm is held up, bent upwards at the elbow, left hand resting beneath the elbow. There's a dramatic flourish to reverse their positions, and a self assured nod. "Henshin!"

                                   MACH 555!

Sleek, aerodynamic white armor forms an homage to the glory days of bike racing, with two red racing stripes that run down the middle, wheels at the ankles, and a large wheel, hubcap forward, at the right arm, forming the 'rear wheel' to the Zenrin Shooter's 'front wheel.' The iconic Rider v-crest antennae are on full display atop his helmet, gleaming in the light of those flaming pillars, as he rushes down the Roidmudes to put himself between them and the shop.

If he's a big enough target, they won't see any need to head inside. So...

"Drift..."

"Overtake..."

"I'm always at..." Arms thrown wide open, and the sound of a superbike's revving engine. "Mach Speed! Kamen Rideeeeer..." Two windmills of his right arm, accompanied by revving sounds, then briefly lifting his knee to his elbow. He bends low, before stancing wide *and* low with both arms wide open, palms out. "Ma-ach!" Light jazz hands, for the Roidmudes, as a treat, before he surges forward with superspeed to hit 017 with a flurry of alternating snap kicks wrapped up with an uppercut from the Zenrin Shooter's rapidly spinning wheel.
Xion Xion - who had masqueraded as 'Protowoman' in the past - had released her disguise upon transitioning into the Time Mazin. When she did, her outfit simply softened into a grey hoodie, a yellow scarf, red gloves, boots, and belt, and dark grey jeans. It gave her a moment to think, and to ask Go something.

Laying a hand on Go's shoulder, Xion pauses the brown-haired man. "Hey, Go. Stopping a tragedy and a senseless, grievous death is something that's pretty good, on its face - but if this is something that we are changing for the world you live in and come from, then you're going to be a different person after. It's quite noble, I guess, and may make a better person after, but..."

The noirette's eyes hide behind the accessory police-grade aviator sunglasses that Protowoman softened and dispersed into. The part that Xion kept as a style. But her concern doesn't hide at all, a wistful hint of something foreign and present. A unique melancholy. "I'll miss you, Shijima Go. I hope you'll be happier when you wake up." Still, being deposited onto action set happens right after, and then its on to the business of saving the day.

"We'll be counting on you, Volt!" Xion calls and turns to start a job, consulting a handful of keychains in her red gloved palm as a physical inventory of powers while she does. Handling Roidmudes required a delicate touch and trying to figure out the best way to handle the situation...

Gets Xion shot three times, being shot with CGI laser gunbullets that cause kinetic blast detonations powerful enough to topple-stun her pre transformation and cause pained gasps and showers of sparks. Chase, briefly, is ahead of her, saving her from gunfire with the power of his own GUN, and Go, conveniently, is nearby enough for her to draw a fresh charge of medallion power off of the red-and-white Rider.

"No time for anything fancy. So--!" Pulling out a chunky slide phone from her hoodie pocket, she quickly flips open the face and enters 713 with a meaty 'plunk plunk plonk' dial-buzz. Pressing SEND causes the phone to emit a droning Standing By!

There is an obligatory pause for Mach's 'Let's-!'

"Henshin!" Xion announces, sliding the Kaixaphone 'into place' at her waist, beltless. As she dashes forward, armor forms to swallow the phone completely into dark plates cut with magenta lines, a general copy of the original Kaixa armor in a coral pink/magenta recolor. Immediately channeling the incredible power of the combustion engine, a red vrooming flare of dash sparks is all that is left when Xion takes off.

With a chorale of easily synch-timed overhead divekicks, flank dash punches, rear whirling elbows, and a cannon drill slide to Gunman's legs when Mach goes for his Zenrin uppercut -- all to the patently ridiculous 'bbbbrrRRrrRRrrRRrrRRrrRRrrRR!!!' constant combuston engine hog-cranking. Every strike is cranked.
Hibiki Tachibana     It is, at least a little bit, funny that Hibiki is back at Chase's side to surf through time again for the Roidmudes' sake. Given that part of the crux of a very important talk she had was accepting that the past and its mistakes could not be changed. Mentally reconciling that enough for their trips with the Time Mazin wasn't that hard, though. At least not as hard as it might've otherwise been.

A selfish desire to change one's own past and undo their blunders because of despair is a lot different than doing it to create the happiest ending possible, after already coming to some heavy realizations.

That's how she plans to look at it for right now, anyway.

And admittedly, on the note of selfishness, she's extremely glad that there's no need for any disguises this time. She waves Volt off as him and his lot move out of sight, although it's not long before her attention is spending quiet moments of waiting glancing between Chase and Go in particular.

"...Chase--...no. I'll save it for later."

Hibiki starts and then stops, because they don't exactly have a wealth of time before 017 picks up on them and takes the initiative. She has to duck low, grip the pendant hanging from her neck, and go for cover while attacks whizz past, tearing at clothes and ripping at skin beneath as she goes. "Balwisyall nescell Gungnir tron...!"

Because she lacks the 'henshin' callout of the other transformers on the squad, she gets the fabled golden glow bursting into the side of the frame before she immediately bursts in from said side of frame herself a moment later - darting through gunfire and open air as Mach takes center stage.

And while 017 is getting a combo platter served up, she'll be engaging in sparks-flying fisticuffs with the rest of his ensemble if slash when they square up to join the brawl, to allow Xion and Go to get their licks in. It's a dirty job, but she'll do her part to keep them all corralled away from where they're supposed to be.
Chase      Knowing that their next destination can only end in fighting, Mashin Chaser does not bother unsuiting for their next stop. And it seems he was correct to do so, given how Gunman spots them and immediately greets them with gunfire.

Chase, not too fearful of his safety, simply raises his Break Gunner arm in front of him, slotting in a silver car into the top of the gun as a large chrome slab attaches itself to both his arm and the weapon.

     TUNE - CHASER SPIDER!

The bullets harmlessly hit the impromptu shield, creating sparks while they do so. Once the initial volley stops, Mashin Chaser lowers his arm back down as he begins approaching 017 by taking slow but large steps.

" I will give you one chance to stop. If you do not, I will reset you, Gunman."

While Chase says he's giving him a chance, he still takes the opportunity to unleash his own counter attack, taking aim with his gun in a very to the point manner as he fires off a small flurry of purple energy bullets all aimed directly at 017's chest.
Hamada Haru 018 is getting up from getting the shit kicked out of him by Xion when Hibiki moves to engage. "Hey! What's a regular human doing here?!" He wonders, blundering directly into her and proceeding to get the shit kicked out of him a second time. He falls over immediately afterwards, "Waaah! That's not a regular human, either!"

From one of the upstairs windows of the shop, Professor Harley glances out of a window. He watches for a long, long moment, and then just pulls the blinds shut.

"There's nothing regular ABOUT this," 017 gripes back, firing two shots-- one that bounces towards Hibiki, and the other that bounces towards Chase, a target that 017 recognized as a target before he actually engaged, but which he didn't recognize the particulars of in time to STOP. It's a moment in which a low, aggravated hiss is audible-- like air sucked through teeth.

One of the surrounding roidmudes that's been serving as mobile cover springs up in a panic, "GAHHH! Gunman, why's the Grim Reaper after you? GRIM REAPER, WHY ARE YOU AFTER US?!"
Hamada Haru The fraught nature of temporal manipulation aside, Go's memories will largely shunt to remembering things as a thing-he-corrected rather than a thing-he-experienced. There's a certain amount of ripple-proof-ness using the Time Mazine, but it's not infinite. At any rate, preventing the American roidmude from becoming bitter enemies won't really avert the necessity of having him back in Japan, and neither will it avert 017's return to Japan. It'll just shuffle things to the side.

What's the data in front of you? Well...

There's a guy with an ambiguously magical gun that he does seem to reload every now and then, but he's pretty good at it. There are other roidmude in the area but they're mostly hanging back. You're pretty sure none of them are advanced to their second form like 017 is.

017 answers the attempt at suppression fire with two shots back and simply braves the persistent weapons fire because he is a robot and tough enough to do that. It earns some sparks, but it's not nearly enough to floor him.

================================================================================
Go remembers a wild-looking but overall relatively pleasant fellow coming in to the shop and asking him for help in passing, and then he remembers waking up in a bathroom stall after a battle had apparently taken place there. Retrospectively, he is aware that he got tazed.
================================================================================

"Hey! What gives, big bro? They didn't have this kind of back-up before?!" Roidmude 018 exclaims, pushing forward and getting in the way of the pillar of flame that is directed at 017. Thankfully, he, too is a robot and although he is sent flying backwards into 017 -- who catches and redirects him -- this is far from fatal damage to him. Actually, this lot are notoriously hard to kill, and there's probably more collateral damage to literally everything else.

Not a nothing hit, though.

"Yeowch!" 018 complains, from the ground.

017 ricochets a shot off of a wall that zigzags through the air, bouncing between Utusho, Rin, and Satori in a deeply unfair kind of way.

"Run some interference," 017 growls at the others that joined them. A couple of otherwise normal-looking humans dart out of alleys and serve as mobile cover for 017, who begins moving UP towards the direction of Mach and the overall attempt to corral him.

Interestingly however, they do not use this method at all when Mach pushes in. 017 is probably aware that Mach can actually KILL them, and while he's not familiar with this particular form, it certainly doesn't ease his caution.

The others are more of an x-factor. They're not all wearing glaringly obvious dreaded Kamen Rider gear, nor do they resemble their Grim Reaper, so they're being a little incautious at the moment.

"Ah! Big brother, watch out!" 018 shouts, diving into Xion's path and becoming the direct target of her slide-attack so that the gunman doesn't have to deal with it. This is, on the whole, accompanied by a large sequence of sparks and a lot of 'ow!' and general griping because he is just an unevolved roidmude getting beaten up by a Kamen Rider he's never heard of before.

It's only the last blow of Mach's that doesn't quite land. 017 parries with his revolver and uses the momentum of the spinniness to give it an awkward angle and send it into the shop wall before firing a shot at the wall that ricochets unintuitively towards Go's opposite shoulder.

"Just what the hell is going on here? Who are all you people? Why is THAT person using Rider Services or Smart Brain gear?" 017 wonders, obviously baffled.
Ishirou The field becomes more complicated suddenly.  They're using human shields... and while he hates this strategy, he also can't /hate/ them for it.  There is a lot of baggage they have towards humanity, and it's not entirely undeserved.  On the other hand... well... these people aren't who wronged them.

This is just a spiral that'll end up in their own destruction, and they just don't know it yet.  Ishirou places his hand on the ground, even as he's calculating, shots ring back at him, and once more catch him out from cover causing him to roll across the ground.  Groaning before damage suppression can kick in to help seal the injuries.

Pulling himself back to his feet, his hand still on the ground he calculates some things.  Two attack vectors.  Xion's is rather simple by the measure of means, all she needs to do is keep the pressure where she is, so he sends her data to keep her advantage on who she's kicking.  Go's a bit more complicated.

Civilians are in the way, and even though they are not using it on him specifically, they are trying to separate his aid from Go.  Another OPTION flies out, attaching itself to Go's weapon and providing a supercharge sound effect, but actually does aid him in both accuracy and damage output, aiming to add a homing feature to his weapon.

Next comes the civilians themselves.  ...Well the 'civilians' Ishirou figures out.  Ishirou's hand glows, aiming to cause the ground beneath them to get very sticky, trying to cause it to be like falling into quicksand up to their chest.  The shift in density forces him to instead send that density into spikes that shoot up for the Gun Roidude's gun.
Hellwarming Trio "Hey, master. What're they talking about?"
"Yeah, what's this about missin' Go? Is he going somewhere?"
"No, no... Probably not. I don't know how changing the timeline works, but... I'm sure he'll be alright."

Even Utsuho and Rin can tell that Satori's trying to say optimistic after what Xion's said about Go, but it's a hard thing to consider after their battles together. Nevertheless, they put on brave faces, and they just try and laugh it off so as to not worry their mind-reading master. It's only their intent that keeps her spirits high, as Satori looks back over at Go with firm nod.

It also might just make Utsuho and Rin look a little more nuts due to doing it in the middle of a battle, though, especially with how they're still throwing all that fire around. That magic bullet rebounding between the three of them, though, snaps them out of their respective distractions rather easily. Utsuho's still close enough to the ground that she can land without much trouble, but Rin and Satori get knocked right out of the air and take a bit of a tumble before righting themselves (moreso Satori, thanks to her attention having been elsewhere).

'Just what the hell is going on here? Who are all you people? Why is THAT person using Rider Services or Smart Brain gear?'
"That's what we should be askin' you. You tell us, Smart For Brains!"
"Yeah! That's... Uh. What?"

At least Rin has enough sense to try and throw baffling questions back at the Roidmudes. Utsuho, not so much.

"Is it a problem if there are? Are you afraid of them? Or something worse, perhaps?" Leveraging some of her mind-reading prowess and going for the direct ask, Satori does a bit of mind probing to start lashing out at 017 with whatever she can latch onto in the Roidmude's mind, all while Utsuho and Rin stay on the offensive. Rin, like Satori, can still control her flames to swing behind 017 and try to divert his focus away from the actual attacks coming in courtesy of pretty much everyone else.

Utsuho doesn't have that same level of control, but she does remember one of her many lessons: Don't get tunnel visioned! Instead of just swinging away at 017 and leaving the newcomers alone, she starts broadening the range of her attacks. She raises her control rod for what should be an overly telegraphed strike to the gunman, but lashes out with a flame-powered side kick instead. The control rod keeps getting hotter until the tip erupts in a shower of fireballs, scattering around the area and threatening to catch 017's and 018's reinforcements in a rain of fire!
Go Shijima      I'll miss you, Shijima Go. I hope you'll be happier when you wake up.

"We might not have to worry about it." He can feel it--that he remembers 'fixing,' rather than 'seeing.' Even so, he can't just let a heartfelt statement like that go by without a remark. "But... even if we do, this is bigger than just me," says Mach to Xion with a kind of bittersweet resolve, as he fights. "People who were worse off, who had less, suffered, because of me. This is for them. If I'm not the same Go, when we're done... I'll be one we can both be proud of. And I'll find my way back to you. I promise!"

The first of his new memories settles in. Man... Volt is pretty sneaky.

Gunman is fighting careful, against me. Not that he needs to--if I destroy his core, it defeats the entire point of coming here.

Gunman's bullet strikes his shoulder. Miyamomo's teachings take over, and rather than spin out, the motorcycle-themed Rider steers into the spin and pumps the brakes, so to speak. Which is to say--when the bullet hits, the Mach Driver revs audibly, a lance of flame shooting from the exhaust, as he briefly becomes a white and red whirlwind, adding the force of the spark-inflicting shot to his own and amplifying it with a hard-hitting roundhouse.

Unlike the Mach of the past, this one isn't made in anger, or to destroy. It is aimed, intead, to spin Gunman around, the wheel on his ankle rapidly picking up speed to add in the effort. As the very edge of the wheel impacts the Roidmude's head and passes across him, Mach's free hand darts out to catch the Roidmude by the hand he's holding his pistol with, attempting to force a fumble by striking at the wrist with the Zenrin Shooter just as Ishirou's spikes emerge. "We're here for your own good," he says, knowing full well it'll confuse both brothers.

"HAAHH!" He mashes the button on the Mach Driver, setting the belt to revving and belching flame again. Mach goes to ground, yanking Gunman by the ankle and planting a foot on the Roidmude's stomach as he tosses him backwards, towards Chase.

Still on the ground, his fingers race across the dialpad on the little bike-phone jammed into his Driver.

                                    787 - STP!

The hubcap of the tire on his right shoulder goes from grey and featureless to a red STOP SIGN, triangular and imperative. He opens fire on the Roidmude reinforcements, ankle-tires peeling out on the sidewalk as he weaves around in a high speed strafing run. Hard-light, rapidly expanding STOP signs curve through the air, guided by Ishirou's homing assist.
Chase      "If you do not know why I am here, then there is no point in explaining what you have forgotten. When you are reset, you can plead before Heart and maybe he will remind you."

There's audible annoyance in Mashin Chaser's voice as he once again blocks another swarm of bullets with a swatting motion of his 'shield', all while continuing to home in on 017 at an increasing pace.

It's a pace that grinds to a halt when Go tosses the roidmude towards him, causing the Grim Reaper to pause for a moment as he recalculates his approach.

Mashin Chaser doesn't waste much time thinking about it, honestly, he simply slugs Gunman in the face with the Break Gunner, the impact of the blow creating a purple shockwave that starts off small but eventually engulfs the entire field in a gravity field so great that it almost seems time has stopped.

It hasn't however, as unfortunately for 017, he's still very aware of what happens next. Chase grabs him by the neck, slowly lifting him up in the air and letting go to leave him there, before suddenly grabbing his head with both hands and bringing the roidmude's face hard against his knee, which Mashin Chaser brings up with alarming speed and aggressiveness.

The second, skull crushing blow immediately dispels the intense gravity, as everything returns to normal and Gunman is allowed to recoil properly from the assault to his poor face.
Hibiki Tachibana     Waaah! That's not a regular human, either!

Definitely not a regular human. Most of them do, in fact, lack the ability to kick the shit out of roidmudes. They also don't tend to have magical girl transformations, so you know.

"Sorry," she says offhandedly towards 018, as he hits the ground. To her credit, she at least sounds like she means it. "Getting smacked around a little is going to hurt. ...But I hope you'll be glad we did, down the line." How very time-traveler ambiguous. Hmm. She's not sure how that stacks up compared to the hamming it up they did before.

And she will remain unsure for the moment, given that a shot from 017 comes her way, and she only turns the direction it ricochets in from just in time to cross her arms up to take it. A shower of sparks and the clang of high speed metal punching into more metal, and she's blown backwards and nearly off her feet.

Before she does, a boot stomps down and she pivots on it before bringing the other down to right herself. Looks like there's a whole lot more of their group than it looked like at first, judging from how many of them are coming out of blind spots to get in the way. She takes in a breath, and pulls back a fist. The piston in her gauntlet slots back.

And Hibiki sprints forward in a blur of sudden speed, moving to dash through the ranks of the reinforcements so quickly that even Ishirou's quicksand-like effect on the ground doesn't slow her up! Her fist flies forward towards the first one in her path, the machinery slams back in, a deafening boom--

And in the blink of an eye, she's skidding to a stop a short distance away, spent internals hissing out with steam from the abrupt stress - and the cracking impact of a couple dozen blows ring out on the frames of a large chunk of 017's backup on a split-second delay, angled to knock a whole bunch of them back into the hail of homing stop signs and fireballs!

Definitely should not let those hit anything but some really durable roidmudes.
Xion "You're right. There's nothing regular about this. We're here to stop you from doing something, and we're using force to get our way!" Xsa Xion (Pronounced 'kai-sa shi-on, normally operating under the name 'X', pronounced 'key') pronounces to Gunman's one trick combat style and general confusion. It was easier - and kinder - to simply give it to them directly.

With the borrowed high-speed chase power of Dead Heat keeping Xion's Rider armor a second streak through the complicated battlefield, the slide kick is intercepted by a roidmude--

And Xion actually instinctually breaks off the kick as 018 exposes chest and thus core to her powerful slide shot. Taking a hard break to avoid, and already worried about damaging anyone irreparably, Xion has to roll out while taking fire. Ishirou's data proves instrumental to Xion's awareness while the fight continues and she is transitioned into the tumbleverse along the street until her supermomentum bleeds off to normal momentum and she can rise to her feet.

"018!" Xion's helmet has the roidmude locked-in, so the Nobody disappears through a corridor-hop and re-appears mid leaping attack back on-target. Corridors are only enhanced in the world of Kamen Rider, allowing Xion to slide between action cuts and leap right back in to an arm grab to shove the unevolved roidmude.

"If you're going to target working people and criminals for extortion, you're just perpetuating Banno's pain! Target large corporations instead, especially for-profit pharmaceutical and real estate ventures!"

Raising her armored fist, Xion's open gauntlet draws a purple streak of light into her palm - once more gaining the power of Mashin Chaser, the Grim Reaper who Didn't Kill.

"After a reset, try to build yourself as a more refined consumer!" Xion shouts, before sliding down the phone face from her armor-melded belt holster, and pressing the send button. Power choomchoomchooms along the armor lines, and the purple energy is absorbed into the suit to flow down into her left leg with the red energy of Dead Heat's combustion energy. A rich magenta bloom erupts, and without using a photon wedge, Xion skips right to an air-marking roundhouse kick. The combined magenta burn-in emits a loud nnnnnnnrrrrrrrrrrOOOM! as the flames snap to an echo finisher right after, detonating in a crescent heatwash that, miraculously, doesn't kill anyone!
Hamada Haru It's just good sense. They can't actually kill each other meaningfully, so using the weaker ones in order to screen the stronger one makes a hell of a lot of practical sense. There are a couple of people here, however, who bypass this particular bit of small-squad tactics that they work with. It's not most of them, though...

"They're doing something to the ground-- hey, not all of them have their own heaviness! All together, now!" One of the mildly stuck Roidmude shouts. It's a bat-type, and he starts to pull himself free with a pair of massive wings. In the meantime though, all of the roidmude deploy the "heaviness" characteristic of their kind. The good news is that there ARE people here who aren't affected by what amounts to a fairly significant time slow.

The bad news is that it's not actually everyone, and the roidmude themselves are cool with it. Actions begin to move towards comical slow motion...

017 himself targets Ishirou's OPTION, but when he fires -- and he fires THREE times, a new record for a single target -- the shots are angled to richochet to Ishirou himself, as well-- and then back again, a quick one-two delivered from user to tool in sequence.

"GAH!" 017 cries out, when his shot to Go is turned into an exhaust-fueled fiery roundhouse kick. This is several upgrades beyond what he should be dealing with, and the Mach suit is already a good bit above him in capabilities.

He recovers from the blow in time for the strike to try to come in at his wrist, and it doesn't connect-- 018, who is on the ground from receiving multiple beatings, grabs at Go's leg and jerks to one side, throwing his aim off so the strike goes wide and rakes across 17's chest in a wild and less-useful pattern. 017 follows up by simply trying to hip-shot Go in the chest.

"Bro! This one is talking about changing the timeline!" 018 shouts, pointing at Satori.

Coincidentally, the bat-roidmude that struggled free and began his own version of the heaviness flies in the way of the trio's attacks, preventing physical damage from getting through to gunman. Actually mind probing these guys is... not great, all of them have a very abusive origin by an extremely disturbing person.
Hamada Haru "WHAT?" 017 demands, his voice incredulous. This is the exact moment that Go grabs him by the ankle and hurls him into Chase, who does some very mean things to him and sends him into the ground in a shower of sparks and a scream of aggravation. This does not, however, actually stop him. It helps that 017 is perfectly aware that Chase can and will ONLY "reset" him, even if it is a nuisance. However...

"... Here with Kamen Riders..." Gunman snarls, struggling to his feet and summoning a second gun to hand. That's something he definitely didn't have before. Both weapons are fired in separate directions, scattering across the party. "I don't know what your game here is, Grim Reaper, but it looks to me like you've gone back to your roots!"

The quicksand effect on the ground might not slow Hibiki, but the heaviness that's still in effect probably is. It gives the flying roidmude enough time to go, "Please don't do that." Before getting struck. It falls out of the air a moment later on impact, as several other "cover" roidmudes hit the ground with pained groans and various bellyaching.

018 is clutching his face on the street when Xion starts talking. "That's pretty regular around here, it's just not regular that the guys showing up aren't kind of... you know! A swat team! Weak guys! Wait, how do you even know about Bann--"

He might actually have written down what she was saying, if not for the fact that she immediately after absorbs Chase's power and blows him the hell up with it. The roidmude's body erupts into a field of glowing purple slag that pelts several adjacent roidmudes with debris, 018's core floating into the air and vibrating in agitation. "AAAAA, BIG BROTHER, WHY ARE THERE TWO GRIM REAPERS," he screeches, flying off towards... the airport? Yeah, the airport.

"H-hey!" One of the remaining roidmudes cries, "we'll be good, don't reset us!" They are all smoldering from various forms of damage and also stuck in the quicksand-shifted street after Hibiki knocked them down.

Except 017. Gunman glances towards the sky as 018 flies away. "Hell. If it's going to be this rough, I'm getting the rest of the fight out of this. Heart would understand."

This last comment seems to be directed at Chase who knows that, unfortunately, Heart WOULD understand.

Gunman leaps high into the air, catching the side of a fire escape with the handle of one gun and pulling himself up into another jump that gives him a vantage on everyone. He activates his own heaviness, suspending himself momentarily in the air as he processes the information of where everyone is.

Two bolts of energy fly for each fighter, drilling down from the heavens towards the lot of them. Because this man has one trick, and it's shooting you. Twice. As he is not hero-coded, he will not be shooting you thrice, even though he probably did that at least once here at some point.
Ishirou The overlapping fields cause Ishirou to slow down considerably.  He's forced to deal with the air as if he's fighting against syrup.  The downside is that his eyes can still move fast, and his vision is full range around him.  Unlike the others, this only physically hinders him... but Ishirou has been smaller, weaker, and slower than people his whole life.

His hand still on the ground, he tries to figure out what to do before the trick-shotting bullet hits the OPTION, bouncing off of it, to him, and back again.  Staggering, he's falling across the ground in slow motion and struggling to regain control.  His body is in pain, and agony really, but he can do at least one more thing.

The Roidmudes are beings of data, and there is one thing Ishirou is good at.  Manipulating that.  He fires a beam out, which travels as fast as his mind does to try and hit one of the ones putting the slow field down.  Quickly he tries to force the system to shut down, before bouncing to one, to the next, to the next in a field to try and let his allies move again.

Even if he can't turn it off all of the way, even if he can decrease it by just a little... he can also hold 017 in one place.  Try and remove his one advantage.  His eyes glow as he focuses in on 017 and fights him in a space that he has a bit of an advantage in... and hopefully enough to try and win this.

Extra data is sent to Satori because he knows she can command the other two more effectively than he can.  OPTIONs are sent out to Rin and Utsuho.  One hovers near Rin, aiming to help correct her targeting and the other attaches to Rin's arm, aiming to greatly power up her cannon.

"It's up to you guys... this is all I can do.." he says with a smile.  It should be enough, he thinks.  They can do it.
Go Shijima      Mach's aim is thrown wide, his helmet whipping down to see 018, the culprit. He makes a high-flying, rocket-assisted backflip, leveling the Zenrin Shooter at Gunman, only to be outdrawn. The Rider cries out in pain, as the bullet strikes him dead-on, his thrusters shorting out as he falls to the pavement and lands hard enough to be belted out. As always, the Mach Driver issues its praise--though today, Go can feel a little better about hearing:

                                    Good Work!

He reaches, instinctively, for the FiveS bike, preparing to belt back in, but hesitates. Nah. I have a better idea. "Keep them busy," he shouts, holding onto the Shift Bike and taking advantage of the immunity it confers to the Heaviness. Back on his feet with an agile kip-up (maybe there's something to this whole not-fighting-himself-ragged thing), he crosses the distance from one end of the sidewalk to the other with one of his trademark high-flying frontflips.

Landing squarely in front of the motorcycle shop, a disheveled, sweaty Go Shijima hurries in, nearly tripping over himself in his haste to reach Harley. "Professor Harley! I need you to make some adjustments to the Mach Driver," he says. Catching his breath, and leaning on the shop counter, he clarifies. "That is..."

"There's no reason it should have to destroy a Roidmude's core. I think... that approach is too much like Banno. Please," he says, palms on his thighs, head bowed. "That's not the kind of Kamen Rider I want to be."
Hellwarming Trio The trio can barely keep up with what Mach is up to. There's there's stop signs, there's a lot of high octane action, but deciphering it all... Is unimportant! What really matters is the feeling, and that feeling is understood by the three almost immediately.

In comparison, Mashin Chaser's gravity field gives a them a chance to really get a better look at what's going on. Utsuho and Rin let out their own slow-motion cheers at the display of raw physical brutality, of course, and Satori might be caught staring a bit too long.

Luckily, the effect ends before too long, and they're back in the air to stay out of Ishirou's sticky ground effect. Getting an idea from Hibiki, they... Actually, none of them are quite that fast, so they'll have to settle with an aerial attack. With Xion giving 018 an alternative on who to go after, meanwhile, the trio exchange glances as they start having another impromptu battle-huddle to consider what's being said.

"Is that... Would that work?"
"She's more human than us, right? She sounds like she knows what she's talkin' about."
"Perhaps... Let's bring it to the others' attention. Later, though. We still have work to do here, remember?"

It's not hard to get their heads back on in handling the Roidmude, at least, especially in light of what 018 brings up.

"Wha...? How'd you know?"
"Oi! Have you guys been followin' us?"
"Y... You don't need to cover for me, girls. It's fine."

It is very not fine, but Satori's going to try looking casual about it anyway (even if she's also deliberately avoiding eye contact with anyone now).

Unfortunately, getting caught in the air as the Roidmude blast out their Heavy field means it's all too easy for 017 to start shooting the crap out of them. They scream and yelp in slow motion, unable to really move out of the way of the downward-diving bolts coming right at them. Utsuho, perhaps as expected, fares the best of the three, actually managing to pull herself back up after the fact before floating over to pull Satori and Rin back up.

"That freakin'... Cheater! Hey. You got anything on 'em, master?"
"Nothing useful, I'm afraid. That means-"
"Posing time?" "Posin' time!" "... Yes, posing time."

Sighing softly to herself (out of fatigue and pain rather than actual irritation), Satori turns her back to look over at 017 from over her shoulder while Rin squats in front of her one hand up splayed out in front of her own face. Utsuho, meanwhile, has her open palm pointed towards the sky, and an gleaming orb of light starts to rapidly form above them.

"Do behave after this. Please believe that we're doing this for your own good, even if it hurts."

Thanks to Utsuho's miniature sun-ball growing ever bigger and brighter above the trio, it's probably hard to trust Satori at her word even if it really is true. That sun is enough to light up the area around them and even further out like it was daylight, sure to mess with local sleep schedules right up until Utsuho draws in all of that built-up energy. On cue, the three start flying around 017, swerving all over the place and leaving colorful magic orbs behind them in their wake. Ishirou's OPTIONs and DATA to the trio really pump up their bullet numbers, too, and it'll really come into play once the bullets start to actually fly.

They actually keep this going for a while, too, as it turns out they're using their giant glowing bastard field as a decoy for their companions before finally coming in from directly above 017, with Satori and Rin trying to batter him down with all those magic bullets (coming down in the order that they were released to make it prettier, of course) while Utsuho just slams down with all that fake-sun power into a single mighty tackle (and explosion).
Hibiki Tachibana     Unfortunately, she had to do that.

And there goes 018 too, courtesy of Xion. Hibiki's eyes go to--/try/ to follow his core floating on off amid the slowdown of Heaviness she can only physically struggle against, very understandably wondering how he got Grim Reaper'd by someone who is not the Grim Reaper, before going down to the assorted roidmudes laid out and stuck on the ground.

"...Well, you're already floored," she says after a moment, as an answer to the one speaking up. She sure doesn't seem interested in kicking them while they're down, literally or metaphorically. Well, it's not like she can blame them for using their natural strengths...

If it was only them, it'd be fine - but Gunman is still fighting to the last, and her head lifts up skyward to where he hangs in mid-air in prime sniping position on the whole lot of them. It'd be an impressive sight, if it also wasn't a sign of impending danger. "Heart would--?"

The magical girl doesn't get to complete her repeat of the phrase before the series of twin shots ring out, and her instinctual reaction is to pull back a fist and throw it forward to outright punch the first one to keep it at bay...just for the second to hit right behind it and detonate into a conflagarating explosion that engulfs her entirely.

When it's gone, Hibiki is also gone. She is, of course, not actually gone gone.

She just used the cover to flip back out of the way considerably worse for the wear, but not enough to be stopped from planting her boots on a building wall and launching off into a thruster-assisted ascension up towards where Gunman is suspended. He has the Heaviness field, sure - so she'll just need to get enough speed to hit him while he's still keeping himself in place.

"And it's probably going to hurt /a lot/!" She adds in after Satori, throwing herself up fist-first towards the roidmude. Instead of anything fancy, she's just going to hit him really, /really/ hard before he gets the chance to fire off again. It's definitely going to hurt.

Especially because she's going to be trying to hit him straight into Utsuho's descending sun-tackle. Ouch.
Xion The X-faced Rider-armored Xion finishes the rotation of her kick with a flourish, standing tall while 018's unevolved form is destroyed by her special finisher. The Trio get a glance-back at, and an armored thumbs up. "Yeah! It does work like that. Preying on your fellow abused people is bad! If you have to take, take from those most able to give, right?"

Xion is firm on this topic. "The roidmude deserve a chance to figure it out and grow. Part of that is preventing them from attacking people that would support them! Being manipulated down a one-way path is--" But she doesn't have time to finish her thoughts. "--We can talk later!"

Spotting Gunman going high, Xion attempts to approach using her copied Dead Heat speed again. Racing towards his sniping perch with every intent to show the 017 that she would simply approach the sniper at a high speed and show him her superior Rider Punch and Rider Kick in melee.

She is shot for this, one of the two sniper bullets lancing through her chest armor and dropping her stride messily. As the second round zooms in to slay her, Xion's magenta armor his the ground and keeps going, disappearing entirely. The bullet disappears into the ground as well - no sparks, no impact.

Ishirou provides all sorts of support - more than enough for even a mediocre marksman to line up the perfect shot. Dropping from a portal at the base of Gunman's ladder, Xion chances lookin up into the Trio's miniature sun to reach towards Gunman and yank down one final medallion - this one new, casing-brass and leather-brown, tumbling like a flipped coin or a rolling ejected round into the Nobody's armored grip. Catching the item like it carries great weight, Xion backleaps off the ladder while the Sun comes tumbling down.

From the ground, Xsa Armor Xion lines up her finishing shot, putting in extra work because Mach entrusted her with his share of the finisher. In her right gauntlet is a Single Action Army revolver, which she opens the empty chamber on. Reaching out to her left, a smaller Corridor portal drops Gunman's second bullet sizzling right into her catching fingers.

The momentum bleeds off with a sizzling heel twirl with a finisher contrail of sparkling lead-silver between left thumb and forefinger. Impossibly - you can't really reshoot a ball like that! - Xion reloads the stolen second round into her copied SAA.

"You're supposed to shoot three times if you're doing the 'right thing'! Shooting twice means you know it's high noon for you!"

Xion aims and fires, completing Gunman's three shot volley wiht a loud POW! of black powder and a laser-like hitscan beam of core-sparing purple devastation from her Very Normal(TM) Gun.
Chase      "You do not know me to claim such a thing. I am the same as I have ever been."

Gunman's allusions to Mashin Chaser's past seem to completely slide off of him, finding no purchase in his brain at least for the moment as he presses the barrel of the Break Gunner into his palm.

     EXECUTION

As he prepares his attack, he's hit by 017's attack. Simply put however, Chase does not care, even as sparks fly off his armor and the plating and mismatched parts making up his suit rattle around. He just raises the massive silver slab on his arm high into the air, the weird weapon now coated in purple aura.

     FULL BREAK - SPIDER!

He brings his arm down, the energy that he had been building up within the Fang Spidey now releasing in a giant holographic spider that shoots forth and aims to pierce through 017.
Hamada Haru It turns out that suspending yourself in the air so you can shoot everyone simultaneously also makes you a fairly easy target. Below, the heaviness generated by the roidmude on the ground flickers on and off at Ishirou's command-- up above, it seems, that an advanced roidmude is plenty enough to keep it going for the duration of what he needs. But as previously mentioned, perhaps that isn't such a bad thing for the group as might be imagined.

As 017's goal IS to be suspended in place however, it's not really hard to make that stick a little longer than he might've wanted. Especially because he is elated by the results of his attack!

//Have you been following us?//

"Uh, no, we're just right here," says a pavement-trapped roidmude, because 018 fled to the airport.

The scintilliating display of artistic energy projection and nuclear fire collapse onto 017, into which he vanishes.

The trapped roidmude asides to Hibiki, "Yeah, of course he would. Heart always understands."

Hibiki ascends into the conflagration to push 017 farther into it, striking him square on because he is in fact IMMOBILE. Being pressed into a per-frame damage effect by a STRONG magical girl sucks, actually, and 017 is only relieved of this suffering by being shot clear through the chest by a purple laser beam combined with the shearing force of a giant cgi spider that cleaves him clean in half and showers slag across downtown Seattle, as the faint shadow of the 017 core jerks and jitters away, swearing as it goes.

A single abnormal revolver tumbles out of the air and clatters to the ground below.
Hamada Haru The TIME MAZINE vanishes. It is gone for mere moments, a blink-and-you'll-miss-it instant that could have been mistaken for a lapse in attention owing to the ongoing battle. Nevertheless, it DOES vanish, and it is NOT merely an illusion. In an equally blink-and-you'll-miss-it moment it reappears, but time has passed since it was gone. The person who took it estimated their exit time well, but it wasn't absolutely perfect. The machine shifts in place as the new operator exits it, but as it does so the buzz of electronics experiencing some kind of issue can be heard.

And who should step out, but... Kiriko Shijima?

The way she moves is strange, unnatural, stiff. Her gaze is devoid of any sort of awareness, though she does look loosely in directions around her. But it quickly becomes clear that she is not the consciousness steering herself. There is a belt at her waist, circular and black with a car ignition mechanism along one side. A digital face can be seen in the center of the circular component.

<< I never imagined,>> says the digital voice of Tenjuro Banno from the black belt, << that either the roidmude or my son would provide such great value to me as to give me even a moment of unfettered access to time and space. For that, I have come to offer you a moment's praise... >>

<< Go. >> Kiriko strides through Professor Harley's garage.

<< But I must also express my disappointment, >> Banno continues, meandering past a very confused Professor Harley who nods towards Go, offers a big thumbs-up, and vacates the room with the understanding that the people in suits will deal with this. << With all the power to change the world to your liking in your hands, you merely wielded it for minor self-improvement, which you had already accomplished with the mere toll of the passage of time. >>

<< You could have done anything, and in the end, all you and 000 did... was this. >> Kiriko gestures broadly into the surroundings, emoting for Banno.

<< Your next move was to save Krim Steinbelt from his fate. I have corrected this. But it may interest you to know that a great many alterations that you were working to make were already incorporated into the timeline. >> A creepy, out-of-character smirk curves Kiriko's lips. << For instance... did you know that there was never any need for Tomari Shinnosuke? Kiriko was always the ideal Drive. You remember, I am sure, the accident that required emergency surgery. You were so concerned for your big sister-- and she wasn't in danger then, either. >>

<< Because of your quest for mediocre self-improvement, I was able to make her into a cyborg. Emulate an incompatibility error so that no Rider system would work but one of my own devising. And now, through her, my genius returns to this world. >> Kiriko seizes the ignition of her belt and turns. The characteristic sound of a race car starting echoes through the building. With her own voice, rather than Banno's, she utters a miserable, "Hen...shin."

A black undersuit and a golden frame snaps into place around Kiriko, forming into the silhouette of KAMEN RIDER GOLD DRIVE.
