Stanley Padgett     And true to the picture he posted, Stanley is in fact at a street festival. Welcome to Matsudo, Tokyo, where the local temple is holding an end of summer party. Stanley, for his part, is looking slightly better than the last time most people have seen him. After the events in Lampport, he seems to have had some sort of... cathartic epiphany.
Even if he's no longer attending school, he's still in those shirts and ties, though this one now sports a big old stain of kewpie and soy sauce. "Ah heck. That's gonna be a wash." He grumbles, and points his fried chicken at Charlotte. "Happy you found the spot okay. Did you get a room downstairs at the hotel or something?"
A beat. "Wait no, you've got more cash than me, you got somewhere fancier..."
Stanley Padgett     One focal point of the Catharsis? Stanley has fixed his hair dye. Gone is the faded blue, and in its place is something that shifts from a neon green all the way over to hot pink.
Ishirou Ishirou is here, wearing a large oversized (did it get larger?) hoodie that is green today. Black gloves, bandages up along the arm, long jeans, combat boots, and a medical mask covering his face. He usually has his hands in his pockets, and he looks around.

Hearing Stanley, he walks over to him and Charlotte. He hands them two bits of paperwork. "I don't know how it'll work for you, Charlotte, because you're on the watch... but Stanley, this is paperwork to help coordinate your status as a refugee until the situation is resolved. It'll help you get good accommodations and support."

Ishirou sits down, throwing two pens on the paperwork. "I'll cover anything tonight, and I'll run the paperwork and file it for you," he says, looking down on the ground. "I also wanted to talk to you about... what's going on after the fact and not in the middle of all of that. We were all affected by what was going on... so it's fair to do it now."
Charlotte Newman     Charlotte settles down opposite Stanley at the table with a little sigh, resting her purse on her lap and settling a paper plate filled with tacos in front of herself. What comes out of her purse is not the familiar Creature, but tall black can featuring a cartoony purple octopus looking very determined in a focus bandana.

"Your directions were great, thank you," the girl nods once, "Don't worry about my living situation. Somehow," Her eyes slide down to the device visible in her purse, "Allowance is still coming in. It's-- fine."

Ishirou arrives. Red eyes glance his way and she kind of... shrinks a bit. Not in fear but mostly shame. Feeling shitty about her behavior the other day, most likely. When he gives her something, curiosity is enough to bring her at least superficially out of it, accepting the papers with a wider-eyed blink, "Um..?"

After a moment, she sets the document down, then rests her purse on top of it, "I feel awful about how I acted. Whatever amount of that was pent-up frustration or goaded or-- or just, the situation itself, I shouldn't have acted that way. She didn't deserve that."
Stanley Padgett     The teenager shifts a bit to roll his shoulder. He too has a MYSTERIOUS DRINK though his is not a TAKOTIME BERRY SPLASH YUM, it's an Oyabun MR CAFFINE Party BLACK. "It's fine, tensions just got really hot and... we needed to get out and away from triggers is all."

He takes a bit of his fried chicken, after dipping it in his tangy sauce... and smiles up at Ishirou as he arrives and... Yeah, it's an honest smile. Not the Fool's Smile. "Hey, you found me. haha." He sighs, and stretches out his legs. "I appreciate that, Ishirou." He starts to look over the application, and murmurs. "This is weird, but like, I have been used to bouncing from place to place. It's just weird not having someone in the house with me now?" A glance to Charlotte. "When I moved out of Foster Cop's place and over to Newman's, it was a shift, but like, her parent's place is huge and she needed the company."
Touta Konoe     "Man, you really weren't kidding about how big they were making this festival. It seriously feels like a minute since the last time I've been out to one."

While Touta wasn't caught in that picture, he took the time to come join Stanley and Charlotte during this ending summer festival. He figured they all needed to chat as it was, but adding the fun and casualness of a festival to it too??? It's genuine bliss!

Even he's indulging in a bit of the karaage they've been providing in the stalls as he keeps looking around. One might assume it'd be easy to get lost or lose track of a group in a crowd like this but well...Stanley's hair styling definitely does make him one in a million!

As for Touta's own style, it's not too different from the first time he appeared before Charlotte and Stanley. Given how he first presented himself when he first met the two, he finds himself deciding to appear in his older form. Touta takes on the appearance of a proper twenty-something. Still appearing young enough, but aged well enough to be noted. His attire's the same color pairing as usual too. A mix of a red t-shirt adorned with a light black jacket.

It's a clothing choice that definitely seems like it'd make someone a bit heated in this weather, even if it was an end of summer festival. Though, apparently not as hot as someone else probably looked... The oversized hoodie, the gloves, jeans and combat boots...He knows Ishirou probably isn't bothered by it, but it's definitely a choice. Though, he imagines there's a reason for it given those bandages so he's not going to pry either.

What he does intend to do is just try to keep tuning in as the conversation kept up. At the moment he's casually continuing to dig into his karaage, though he's got a bit of taiyaki, takoyaki, grilled squid skewers, yaki soba, and any other sort of foods he could have found around the stalls and basically just sets it up along the table for anyone to take. It looks like they're all just sitting at a dining room feast. Though, one has to wonder how he got through all those lines...? Ultimately he finds himself nodding in agreement with Stan. "Humu, I think that was definitely one of those situations where you shouldn't be putting too much blame on yourself. Besides, even if it's a heavy situation, we're still at a festival, right? Let's try to enjoy the moment, right?"
Ishirou "It isn't just 'fine'.  It's not something we should just nod and say we forgive each other and forget.  We shouldn't forget what was said and actually have a legitimate conversation about it.  This isn't because I'm here to apologize... and I should for some of what I said, but there are things you two should know."

Ishirou looks at the coming Touta, so it's one more person to speak to that should be spoken to on this.  Though Touta can easily notice that there would only be one reason to wear all of this...

"That world you saw isn't one she lives in by choice," he says, suddenly.  "It's both a consequence of her powers based on how her world is... and how she grew up.  That is how she sees the world around her not because she wants to... but that is how the world really does feel to her.  Imagine people everywhere... staring at you.  Wanting to tell you about everything about themselves but not caring about you."

"That even speaking makes it so that they make you believe you're harming them.  Every single move you make, sound you make, or even /breathing/ runs the risk of being put in the sight of someone who wants to hurt you... even if that's not true, but the perception of it because of how abused someone else..."

"I didn't appreciate it when I saw it the first time.  That in order to live she had to stop seeing the average person as a person and as some other who could hurt her..." he says, frowning.  "So... we should talk about this, because if you want to help your world, you're going to need to actually understand Lilian.  At least a little."
Angela Angela is at this point not sure she can really help these purse owners. And she's not sure she...wants to? She does think that a city shouldn't really be frozen in time forever and she knows a little more about Exigent Serenity--but the key act that leads Angela to sending some Agents over is Ishirou asking for some assistance. For whatever reason, Angela just can't say no to Ishirou. Or won't.

Baba and MIkey remain the Agents assigned to the situation. Mikey sits down next to Ishirou, and Baba sits down next to Mikey and immediately passes out. The Angela pad is strapped to the Baba's arm.

zzzznk....

Mikey says, "Oh uh. We're here to hang out and chat. I don't know if we have much we can ... help with? But if something comes to mind, I guess we'll say something radical."

Angela is quiet for the moment. The last time she talked with Stanley, she nearly died! But she doesn't really blame him so much which makes the situation more awkward to her, not less.
Charlotte Newman     "It's like he says," Charlotte nods towards Ishirou, "It's not fine. And it's not really an apology you can accept." The girl nods once, "I appreciate what you're trying to do, Stanley, but it's something I'll have to speak to miss Rook about directly."

"I think that was one of those situations where you shouldn't be putting too much blame on yourself."

"I appreciate you, mister Touta, but it came from somewhere within myself that I'm realizing is...really unpleasant," She puts on a small smile, "I'll figure it out."

Ishirou drops some info, which Charlotte swings her attention to with direct eye contact and everything. It's only near the end when her gaze wanders, glancing down and away. Guilt and shame, again, "Understanding miss Rook... I get it, but I wouldn't blame her for not wanting to see my face again. Should you really be telling me this?"

The Lobotomy Corp agents arrive next, though Charlotte doesn't notice until Baba makes that sleepy noise, "--Hnn?" A quick glance-about, "Oh! You were the agents from the other day. And..." Her eyes wander to Angela's image, "Um. Hello, again."
Stanley Padgett     Mikey and Baba arrive... and Stanley slides them one of Touta's plates of kaarage. A wink at Touta, before he sighs and slumps his shoulders at Ishirou's explanation. "I'm not sure... yeah, that we need to be hearing that. We saw plenty back home." He takes a sip of his coffee, and considers. "I said a lot of things, but I think the one I haven't regretted is that I don't need to seek Miss Rook's forgiveness."

He makes room for everyone on the bench, and leans in, pulling out his phone. "She will forgive me or she will not." The phone beeps, and he places it down, letting The Reversal tick over in the background. It beeps quietly, running his dailies. "But we're not in Lampport, and this is a party, and there's people I want ot get to know. So." He smiles at Mikey and Baba. "Which departments are you two from, anyways?"
Touta Konoe As Baba and Mikey make their way to the spot, and in doing so he offers them a bit of the spread. Mikey gets handed the Taiyaki, a small fish-shaped pastry that honestly looks like some sort of oversized waffle or cookie. The filling inside is apparently a red-bean paste which would probably be a bit sweet but not too much. Baba gets a piece of chicken karaage. A fried chicken cutlet piece that has what looks to be a homemade teriyaki sauce drizzled on top. Or he would if he hadn't fallen asleep...SO that also goes to Mikey..Thanks to Stanley no less! The young man gets a smirk right on back.

"It's fine. Fact you guys are here listening probably is something that can help in the long run. You never know."

It's at this point he can see Angela's pad that's situated on Baba's arm. He's not sure if she'd accept but well...He'll make the offer at least. "Uh, Angela, you okay where you are? If you want I can situate you somewhere with more of a view."

While he's sure that a sleeping Baba's arm on the table might be sufficient, it's still not the most fruitful place to be situated. If she'd be okay with it, he'd attempt to put the pad somewhere along the table that had a reasonable enough angle to be visible to everyone, perhaps try to give a view of the festival as well. Though one way or another before locking in a spot he'd probably check to make sure it worked for her. And if not...Well, that was fine too!

Other than that, Touta is just taking his time to listen as Ishirou talks about E.S.'s situation. He'll casually continue eating for a while, he does seem engaged with what Ishirou's saying, but only really does end up speaking up when Charlotte speaks up to him again.

"I appreciate you, mister Touta, but it came from somewhere within myself that I'm realizing is...really unpleasant,"

She's provided a piece of Karaage as well passed her way as he speaks up. "Touta. You can just call me, Touta. Trust me, I'm not that formal about that kind of stuff. As for figuring it out...Well, Ishirou's right on it. Having a legitimate conversation. What was said, what was felt, figuring out those feelings...Probably wouldn't hurt to understand what we were feeling back over there too."

He says that but even he finds himself starting to reluctantly begin indulging one of the skewers of yakitori next.
Ishirou "You saw it, you didn't understand it.  You did everything from calling ES a shadow to blaming Lilian for it.  Instead of trying to do anything to understand it," he says, staring off into space as Stanley looks less likely to listen and instead do anything else but confront it.  "If you think this is going to end just like normal, you're wrong.  I was right about going there to the other side, so I want you to trust me here."

'She will forgive me or she will not.'

"You don't sound like you want her to.  You SOUND like you just want to leave things up in the air and hope things settle out instead of actually trying to understand.." he says, with a frown.  He's... he shouldn't get upset at this, but wasn't it what he tried?  Just... playing it by ear and didn't really get to know her..?

'Should you really be telling me this?'

"It's already out here in the world... but it hurts her a lot to have to explain things.  Imagine what it'd be like if people /could/ understand her without her having to put in effort that feels like a marathon to her.  I want her to stop having to feel like she needs to explain herself for existing... and just exist.  Just live... be happy living."

"Even if it's a little... bit better.."

Touta says something that catches his attention.  "Talking about what happened is important too.  To understand those emotions and getting them out now, instead of later... instead of where they are needed to hurt Lilian most."

Ishirou offers Angela a nod, though his eyes look as if he's smiling at her, it's hard to tell under the mask.
Angela Mikey and Baba CAN eat snacks. Though really it's MIkey who is eating the snacks. In reality.

Baba is eating snacks in the dream world and everybody is wearing pajamas and they are sort of sitting on clouds and having a grand old time. Mikey will handle eating in reality and seems thrilled to just chow down with abadnon.

"Hello Charlotte," Angela says.

Stanley insists that he doesn't need to seek Lilian's fo forgiveness. Angela quirks her gaze upward for a moment, as if seeking guidance from the heavens.

"Omhphhh Training Nohhmpmh." Mikey says.

Baba (they/them) continues to snooze.

Angela assures Touta, "I am fine." before considering. "I do not believe that Lilian cares one way or the other about forgiving you, but you will need to have some kind of understanding of her to proceed. Is that not how it works in your world?"

She shrugs both shoulders and says, "But it is your world, not mine, so how you elect to defend it is up to you."

She might not be as helpful as Ishirou was hoping but she is being honest about it.
Charlotte Newman     "Mmm..." When Stanley brings up forgiveness, Charlotte becomes distracted with the tacos she brought. It's something she clearly disagrees with. She can admit that much to herself; she'd sought Lilian's forgiveness before, over something... so long ago. And here she is making mistakes again. In one case, too late to ever do something about it.

Touta pushes chicken cutlet on her, pulling the girl out of the latest funk, "Oh, thank you." She accepts his Karaage and replaces it with a hardshell taco with everything on it and even some decent spice, "Alright... It seemed a lot more personal." Shifting again, she rests her eyes on Ishirou again, "But you have a good point, I'm sorry for interrupting."

"I do not believe that Lilian cares one way or the other about forgiving you, but you will need to have some kind of understanding of her to proceed. Is that not how it works in your world?"

Charlotte glances down more thoughtfully than guiltily this time as Angela speaks, eyes shifting slightly as she wanders through her own thoughts. After a moment, the girl nods to herself, lifting her gaze back to Ishirou.

"Please help me understand. Even if she isn't willing to forgive me, I don't want to be in the part of the world that treats her this way."
Stanley Padgett     Stanley takes a breath, as Ishirou keeps pushing the point. He starts signing the refugee papers, and murmurs. "That's exactly not what she needs, Ishirou." He keeps writing. "I get that her life has been very tough, that she's hurting, and that we're all getting to see it when she wouldn't want us to. And you are a very loyal friend. But she doesn't need you and Angela running interference for her." He signs at the bottom of the sheet, and slides it back over to Ishirou. "And I absolutely want to figure out what it is to be friends with Miss Rook, but that might need to wait until we can unffff-" He stops himself from swearing. "Decouple her from Lampport."
"The help she needs is to get her power back from NovaTech, and to be free to put that side of her back where she wants it to be. And we can help with that. That's what I can do to help her, that's what Charlotte can do to help her." He shoves some Takoyaki in his face, and chews a bit. "We can do that. We can do that." He keeps repeating that, a little mantra... psyching himself up, maybe? His phone beeps again, and he switches Reversal games to another mode. "Actions over words. That's what grown ups do, right?"
Touta Konoe     More conversation continues and the topics continue to converge on one point. It's a time where again, he's just listening over speaking for the time. Food is apparently helping with that immensely as he starts nibbling on some of those tacos that Charlotte brought his way. Woah, those were out of theme, but not unwelcome! At the very least, she's getting a nod right on back. Mikey continues to be fed as much as he wants, it's a festival so he might as well go wild, right? At the same time, he's also nodding back to Angela, he'll leave the screen for the time being then.

Watching as the conversation steers from Ishirou's elaborations and even his desire to help Lilian, he doesn't say anything...From Angela's acknowledgement of Lilian's stance on matters. Ultimately turning back to Stanley's position of where Ishirou's well meaning desire sits with Lilian's needs. Though, perhaps the most actionable solution at least in Touta's opinion does come from the end of Stan's remarks.

"Don't know how much pull this NovaTech's actually got when it comes to E.S. but if we are trying to be 'actionable', I think we're still forgetting to take something into account that I'm still not understanding why she went through the trouble of doing."

Touta ends up pulling up his phone this time, seems he hasn't been keeping it open, cause boy when he looks at it for a moment does it seem like it's really blown up. Though as he clears that he pulls up a picture of a familiar flower. Or at least close enough. "If we're taking those words from before at face value, these lilies that a few of you received might be just a little important too. Especially if planning to do something 'actionable'. Question I'd want to ask is...Do we think that understanding Lilian...Or E.S. a bit more is how we get more of those flowers then...Or is it something else? It's the one thing she left before we left. So I imagine it's something we're supposed to try and figure out or understand. Someone feel free to correct me if I'm jumping the gun though."
Ishirou Ishirou sucks in a breath and then lets it out in a very calming manner.  "No," he says finally to Stanley.  "Ignorant actions do more to hurt than not.  It isn't just about taking action, but about knowing what action to take.  You get that from /understanding/.  Sometimes, you don't always get that luxury.  This is one of those times that you can.."

"But it's not 'you', it's what Charlotte can do, what I can do, what Touta can do, what Angela can do.  Not about what /you/ can do.  Do you just not want to help her?  You want your town back without any effort on her?  Despite all of the effort she's put into /helping/ you and your town?"

Ishirou is getting a little frustrated, and then just shakes his head.  Funny enough, Touta says something that gets his attention.  "I don't know entirely.  But... there might be a way.  I could share with you all my experience, and we might come to something together, but.." he says for a moment.  He'd have to dig at some scabs himself.

He's reluctant to continue on the offer for a brief moment, but... he mutters, "...anything for her.." he says, and then. "Alright.  Then I can share my experiences and thoughts and... hopefully, we can get some insight.  Better me than her.." he mutters.

Maybe it'll be what they need to understand, how he was forced to feel during all of that, maybe they can also see what he couldn't with his interaction with E.S.  He has to be brave about this.

"Something else we can do... is actually go down to Novatech and get into all of their secrets."
Angela Angela looks to Charlotte for a moment, surprised. Being asked to explain Lilian to someone doesn't feel like something she was supposed to do. "...I... am uncertain I am ideal for this task? I imagine some of what I know about her would be private." She calms after, having gotten about as close to an exclamation point as she ever gets right then and there. "I am not suitable for discussing Exigent Serenity at all, for instance." She looks to Ishirou for a moment. She is always a little unclear about what qualifies as breaking discretion with regards to social interactions as she hasn't really had any that lasted until quite recently. She looks to Stanley, who suggests she is running interference. "Surely she does not. But trying to help a friend, even if they do not need it, is still something you should do."

Even if, she has learned, they seem quite uninterested in receiving help. Isn't that what Petra did? Though she's not quite sure she is as valiant as Petra can be. No, she's quite sure she isn't.

Stanley explains that NovaTech stole her power and Angela says, "Were they not frozen as well? It should be easy then, right?"

It is easier to discuss an operation right now. Touta mentions the lilies might be important?

"Seems like it dude," Mikey says.

Baba, meanwhile, dreams.
Charlotte Newman     Charlotte's eyes rest on Stanley for a moment while he psychs himself up, giving a little nod each time he repeats himself.

"Something else we can do... is actually go down to Novatech and get into all of their secrets."

Glancing down, she pulls her own phone out. Launching the map app again, she frowns. It's still loaded to the NovaTech head office; she'd never gone there that day she lost her temper. Read too far into things that weren't happening or being said. Seeing it again knots her stomach all over again. Sucking a breath in, she lets it out slowly and sets her device down so all can see.

"They couldn't stop us. Even if we only look around, maybe we'd still be able to, uh... 'see how the sausage is made'. Though it might depend on whether or not the computers are stuck too."

Touta brings up the flowers, drawing the girl's attention to his phone. She hadn't gotten a good look at the blossoms due to... a variety of factors. Seeing it prompts her to close her eyes in thought, recalling what Exigent Serenity had said about them. Her gaze shifts back to her phone, "This might be the right move, unless one of you had a different idea."

Didn't Exigent Serenity tell her something like this? It was part of what she-- what she got wound up about. Inferred the wrong things. Investigating is probably what they meant, not...

Charlotte shakes her head for no outwardly obvious reason.

"If Exigent Serenity is a part of miss Rook, then learning to understand one is to further understand the other, right?" She takes a breath, letting it out in a quick puff. Her own 'psych up' ritual, "Maybe this is something we can learn together, Miss Angela."
Stanley Padgett     Ishirou and Angela get looks, and Stanley.... ponders continuing the back and forth, but seems to decide against it. "Understating her power is important, yes, to see how it connects. You're right. We can work that out, and the flowers-" He thumbs up at Touta- "and why Exigent Serenity doesn't want us in the Shadow World just yet. That's the one that bothers me, but..." He takes another bite of food, and a sip of coffee, letting thoughts percolate in his head, before he slumps his shoulders.
And then perks back up at the talk of getting into NovaTech. "We all have our strengths. Mine is having friends all over." He slides his copy of the Reversal closed, and pulls up text messages. "I couldn't find John, Isaac's off doing SPORTS so he was out of town when this happened, but..." Stanley shows off a series of text messages with someone named magiklife4eva. Chastity Miller, another one of the Persona Kids, rescued and restored. She seems to be very confused about things, but has been chatting. "Chastity is still able to get around, so I am going to use... this form for her." He takes up the Refugee form that Ishioru had given Charlotte, and starts filling it out. "But if she can get around, it's probably safe to say that any of the Tyrants can get around. So that means... at least three people from NovaTech we'd have to deal with, when we go in."

A look at the others. "No-Face, he wished our friend John's dad out of existence, and has mind control powers. Also we can't... actually look at him, it's really weird."
"Mr. Clean, who we're pretty sure is Isaac's dad, he's in charge of the city's Chamber of Commerce and like... fixes things for everyone. He's super tough and can summon more Shadows than we can count."
And then Stanley makes a face. "And Francis Smithering, our favorite businessman. He ran... Graf Enterprises, or whatever they're calling themselves these days. Wetworks. We still don't know quite what he can do yet, but he can sell someone anything he wants, if they aren't paying attention."

A breath. "So. We'll have at least some competition on the way in. They're probably trying to either find a way to stop this... or exploit it. I can't imagine 'Lampport is inside of a Paladin Commander's time bubble' is precisely high on their plans. If it is, that's... frightening, actually."
Stanley Padgett     Stanley finishes filling out Chastity's form and slips it over to Ishirou. "Okay. What do we really need to know about Exigent?" He looks to Angela and Ishirou, and hmmms. "I'm a guy who hasn't run jobs and missions with Lilian Rook for years."
Ishirou "We need to know about the blooms she gave right? We can examine what happened from my point of view with her..." Ishirou says, with a nervous desposition. "That's what I'm suggesting."
Touta Konoe     It seems a consensus was slowly forming, one that he seemed perfectly content to work at. if it was the case of heading to NovaTech. Although, even he finds himself in the same boat as Ishirou. There's definitely a reluctance to spill the beans on what E.S. had tempted him, or at least tried to the last time. At the same time...

"I tell the Multiverse I'm done with explaining every little thing about me on-demand, and now I have to anyways or else they'll all get killed."

There's a long sigh that escapes him. He still doesn't understand it all. But he is trying to imagine. The feeling of having to open yourself up more than anyone. The things you'd prefer that no one bother her about. He pushes his food forward, a loss of appetite. Though he sees as Stan gives him that thumbs up, and well...He doesn't dislike this guy. It's enough to bring a smile out of him at least. It's also what has him nod back to Charlotte in affirmation that he thinks this is probably the play as well. Though as he hears Ishirou's suggestion and even he feels like he has to reaffirm a bit just how certain he is.

"You sure on this Ishirou? I get wanting to find this out, but..."

Maybe he doesn't always understand Lilian, but he can imagine the unease of making oneself vulnerable. To open up for the world to take aim. "Before you start opening your heart to all of us, why don't we check out Novatech first? If there is actually something there, it might even help us figure out what we'd be trying to look for if we examined you. Plus..." It's at this time Touta slowly offers up a hot cup of tea to Ishirou of all people. He's not sure if he can indulge in such now, or if it's even something he enjoys but well... The fragrance alone might be calming

"It'd at least give you some time to brace yourself, you know?"
Ishirou "She doesn't want us there because we need the blossoms to even survive there.  This also means one other thing, Stanley... your enemies can't go there either.  They can't use it to teleport.  They have to walk through the streets like everyone else.  Their entire base of operation is shut down, which means nobody is going to be able to be on the ground except FOR them.  Assuming they're not unaffected... that's a big assumption on our part too."

"But let's assume they are active.  I doubt they're going to hang out at NovaTech at every hour of every single day.  They still have to sleep, have to eat, they still get bored.  That place creeps them out as much as it does us..."

"And they're not at their most powerful either.  Simply put, between a task force of us, we should be able to get more than enough information... take them down?  I don't think so, but that's not what we have to do."

"We just need to know what they think we don't know.  Between my senses, and the group's ability to get in and out of places... it shouldn't be hard.  What works against us also works against them... and if we're lucky ES will help us.." He nods at Charlotte, "Charlotte is right.  Even if they are active, we can get out."

Looking at Charlotte, he says, "They're related, but not the same.  But... that's not entirely important.  What is important is trying to figure out what ES /wants/ and then making sure we can fulfill that idea for her, so that we can get as many blossoms as possible."

He looks at Touta and sighs.  "I know what I am offering Touta... better my heart than having Lilian have to tear out her own... better to take this than to force Lilian to be hurt again.  I can... handle it," he lies.  He's not sure if he can, but...

"It's better we do this first, I think.  I think going to NovaTech is part of what ES wants Stanley and Charlotte to do."
Angela Angela glances towards Stanley as he mentions Isaac, squinting faintly as he mentiones that Isaac's father might be one of the problems here. Well, she supposes she knows what it's like to have a supervillain as a parent so she shouldn't really comment.

''If Exigent Serenity is a part of miss Rook, then learning to understand one is to further understand the other, right?''

"Not exactly," Angela murmurs but she's not sure how to express it better than that. "You are certain these blossoms are what must be obtained? We won't be able to help too much with that."
Charlotte Newman     When Stanley reaches for the form she'd received, Charlotte helpfully lifts her purse off it so he can take it, "Oh, good idea. My living situation is taken care of but she could definitely use the help."

Glancing down at her own phone again, the girl bites the tip of her thumb in thought, rolling over the NovaTech tyrants as Stanley names them off, nodding slightly with each name, "I have a feeling that -- that mister Igor and miss Delilah are fine, too. I'm not sure why. We couldn't possibly know. It's just a... just a feeling." Despite the bad experience she definitely had in the Velvet Room, she still remembers their names.

A recent memory prickles across her mind again and the girl tenses. It passes quickly.

Both Ishirou and Angela correct her impression of Exigent Serenity and Charlotte nods to each in turn, "Okay, thank you both for clarifying." She glances down, collecting her phone. If NovaTech is going to come later, this won't be necessary for now, "I'll-- stop jumping to conclusions so quickly."

She casts a glance towards Angela's tablet and the two agents who decided to visit, sizing them up. After a moment, she glances towards Stanley, then back to Ishirou, "How are we doing this? I'm ready to listen, but I get the impression it's going to be a lot more than that."
Stanley Padgett     Stanley looks around at everyone.. and at the festival and food carts still around them, the people milling around...

And looks at Ishirou. "I trust you." A stern look. "We have experience in people's heads. but maybe not here in public?" Stanley reaches a hand across the table, and then grabs Ishirou's hand, squeezing it lightly. "Let's find somewhere that isn't right here in front of everyone, huh?" He pulls up his phone, and then looks around. "...There's a manga cafe down the block, how about there"
Angela MIkey is wirey, but relatively muscular. Baba is an enby who seems to have slept through this entire event and is absolutely covered in a wool outfit and has a pair of horns coming out of their head. They evoke adorability.

Angela seems... not exactly awkward, but she's quiet.

She is, however, uneasy about the idea of--what--looking directly into Ishirou's mind? For many reasons.

Fortunately she has the ability to just close her eyes, she supposes.

"That's wild," Mikey understates regarding Ishirou's plan.

Baba drools on the table.
