John Connor      John's coordinates lead to a nuclear power plant overlooking his iteration of Los Angeles. It's a big, standard thing - cooling towers, buildings, big parking lot. Nothing seems to be amiss, however.

The way John tells it, on the way over there, as he talks into his radio, is that this place becomes an important site for the Resistance in the future. While it was shut down for safety concerns, a man named Carl Greenway is set to reactivate it and get it running. They're performing the final safety checks today. The thing is, if the plant is activated and found to be unsafe, Skynet wins. If the plant meltsdown, Skynet wins. If it isn't reactivated at all, Skynet wins. The Resistance needs the plant to be activated and found completely safe.

3:1. It's not good odds. But the plant seems fine, from the outside at least. No sign of Sarah, Cameron or Derek.
Zwei     Zwei has no idea who Cameron and Derek are, and only the faintest clue of who John is, but that discussion over the radio the other night about 'skynet', nuclear warfare, machine uprising, and the overall end of human civilization was pretty interesting. Not interesting enough to stake out a world for several years, but enough that when the possibility of something going on comes up, Zwei is kind enough to spare Weiss from superfluous 'cultural acclimation exercises' (i.e. going around a city disguised as a human) and drop her off on site with a quick flyby from Asche, who then returns to Solomon island.

Approaching the perimeter of power plant, wearing only the underlayer to her combat frame rather than bothering with the whole thing, Weiss stops at the front entrance to begin a wide-area radiation scan, as well as basic infrared imaging and sonar and x-ray mapping of the facility grounds. She doubts either missing person is still outside, but might as well check.
Jonothon Starsmore Jono gets here by motorcycle. But he has to park that a distance away and approach the rest of the way on foot. If Sarah, Cameron, AND Derek are all MIA like as not someone's either got them or is trying to get them. And if someone has them they're probably going to have lookouts and spotters. And given this world's problems with uber-cyborgs from the future any spotters are likely to have super-senses. So best to minimize the amount of stuff they have to pick up on his presence. As it is, he has no heartbeat and doesn't breathe.

He just hopes they can't pick up psionic energy. If so he's going to stick out like a radioactive thumb next to a Geiger counter and there's not a damn thing he's going to be able to do about it.

For the time being though he keeps his approach as quiet as possible. He goes from one hiding place to the other as he nears the plant trying not to be detected.
Yuna Kagurazaka Yuna's knowledge of thermonuclear power plants is fairly limited, despite the era she comes from. Elner, thankfully, knows quite a bit more of the practical details ... which shouldn't be that important. It sounds like more of a 'defend and prevent interference' mission to the little robo-faerie ... which is fine by Yuna, really. After her absence from most of the Multiverse for a couple of months, she seems a little quieter, a little more introspective - more thoughtful about what she does and says, by and large.

Yuna purses her lips slightly as the group approaches the power plant. "Elner, is the radiation going to interfere with your sensors or with our communications?" she asks the robo-faerie. "And how much of the plant do we need to actively protect - I mean, there are key areas that Skynet would focus on crippling to keep the plant offline, right?" The latter question is directed to the rest of the group, John in particular but not exclusively.

"Hard to tell until we get inside," Elner answers, "but I'm starting my scans now."
Finna     Nuclear power. Whatever the heck that means! Finna sure doesn't know. But enough people are checking it out and worried about it that she may as well.

This is why there's a fox on Jono's motorcycle. Or was, at some point. It's gone now.

And chances are nobody saw the white-haired mammal dashing off either.

An arctic fox in the area's totally not what anyone's likely to expect, or take for noral. maybe, just maybe, someone's pet... but LOS ANGELES? That's no place for an arctic creature. ANIMAL ABUSE!

No, seriously, she's near the group but mostly hidden behind a nearby small building. Her big ears are like radar dishes, and she'll have no trouble hearing any conversation...
John Connor      Everything seems fine, on the outside. Zwei picks up some strange readings from inside the plant, however - there's three figures who seem to have significant amounts of metal where their skeletons should be. One in the control room, two more down near some vital part of cooling equipment. Yuna might identify them as being similar to Triple Eight Terminators - big, tough and reasonably intelligent.

All in all, the plant seems fine, for now. There's no alarms, warnings or panic. But given the (presumably innocent) security guards posted at most of the entrances, one wonders how they're even going to get inside! They don't seem to have spotted Jonothon, however.

"Think I just saw a dog over there," one of them remarks.
Zwei     Whether or not an arctic fox is native to Los Angeles is beyond Zwei's concern. For all intents and purposes, the readings Weiss gets from Finna are consistent with a normal, mundane animal, and so there's no reason to care about her presence. Instead, Weiss seems much more focused on the three anomalous readings from within the power planet, recording the facility's overall topography to memory, crunching a 3d map of it, and then zeroing in with tightband mossbaeur scans on the three in order to ascertain whether they're humans with cyborg implants, or only nominally humanoid at all.

"As far as I can tell . . .." She begins in response to Yuna. "What I assume are units belonging to this 'skynet' are congregating around the control room and the main heatsink array. They could be attempting to sabotage the plant's ability to function and thus shut it down, or maybe they're trying to cause a nuclear meltdown. Difficult to say!" Cheerily, she turns towards both Yuna and Jonothon, blasting both of them with every invisible wavelength at once in order to record their detectable features. "I'm Zwei by the way! Or one half at least!"
Yuna Kagurazaka Yuna smiles, bowing to Zwei/Weiss. "I'm Yuna," she introduces herself. "It's good to meet you, Zwei! And yeah, if they look 'human' on the outside but they're mechanical and metallic on the inside, they're probably Terminators - infiltrator units, designed to pass for human without drawing attention."

"Sensors seem unimpaired," Elner notes. "And I'm Yuna's ally, Elner. I have a fairly wide range of sensors and analysis capability, so perhaps we might cross-link our scans and correlate data with each other?" the tiny robo-faerie suggests to Weiss. They can hammer out data-sharing protocols as needed if Weiss is amenable to it.

Yuna turns her attention back to the power plant. "So, three Terminators, already working on whatever sabotage they've planned ..." She grimaces slightly; once she transforms, she'll at least have her Light Suit's protection from radiation, but she's not sure how much good that will do ... and her allies don't even have THAT much protection. "We've gotta get inside, and fast. Unless we can teleport inside, we've gotta get through those doors -" She pauses again. "Hey, John? Is this the kind of event the mass media might be covering, or that a celebrity or two might show up at?" she inquires. It seems like a long shot but it might still work ... maybe.
Jonothon Starsmore Considering there seem to be people gathering in an area-- and they look like they're more powerful than he is-- Jono heads in that direction instead of trying to duck inside. Strength in numbers right? Besides maybe one of them CAN teleport. Or something. "Jono," he offers in response to the introductions that seem to be going around. Weiss might recognize him from when she and her partner Asche were activated.

He just might also detect weird to Zwei's invisible waves. If those waves go past his shirt they'll show he... doesn't have a chest. Or a throat. Or a lower jaw. It's all missing. Like all of it. Which probably explains why he keeps his face wrapped up. Because that's probably messy.

Looking between the two, "Either way we gotta get inside an' stop 'em before they demolish the place. Any ideas on getting in?" A look to Yuna. "Dress as reporters?" he inquires. "I dunno, this place don' exactly look like it gets a lot 'o visitors..."
Finna     A dog? Well, maybe not a dog. After a few moments spent thinking very quickly, and intuiting that 'nuclear meltdown' does not sound like a good thing whatever it is, Finna decides to take action.

    ZOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOM!

The little white fox scampers onto the scene, dashing straight down the path and right in front of the guards. Not onto the grounds, but just straight past their gaze! Its movements are sleek, light, and elegant, and it looks over its shoulder at them and barks quietly, as if beckoning them to follow.

Unfortunately for the guards, there's a subtle magic woven into her very stride. Looking at her too long conveys this awful, incredibly, will-wormy naggling feeling that where this creature is headed is VERY IMPORTANT.

You should follow it, guards. It's way more important than being where you are right now!
John Connor      They're certainly not humans with cybernetic implants. Their entire skeleton is metal and the skin seems to be more of a sheath that covers their chassis, like a disguise.

"Uh, don't think so," John says in response to Yuna, over the radio. "Tomorrow, yeah. This is just the test run. There shouldn't be many people there. That's what mom said, at least."

The question of how to get inside seems to be a mute one, however, because the two guards by the door take off after the VERY IMPORTANT white fox!

The way is open! Inside, the nuclear facility is mostly deserted. There's a few technicians here and there and signposts pointing the way to the control room. To head into the deeper part of the complex, however, where two of machines are, might be a confusing attempt at navigation. It's all big machines, pipes and so on.
Zwei     Even if Weiss can't pick up the majority of the psionic energy emenating from Jonothon as possibly anything other than what electromagnetic disturbance it may cause, she can certainly tell that he seems to be lacking a pulse, any form of respiration, and significant chunks of his body. She even goes so far as to visibly raise an eyebrow at him, though still keeping a good natured smile on her face. "Nice to meet you, Yuna and Elner! This particular situation seems to fall under my specialty!" She turns her head just enough to look directly at the little robot instead of the Guardian. "You seem like you're of a high enough technological standard. Trasnmitting."

Instantly, Elner is sent a rather extreme quantity of topological data, involving quite a bit of nominally extraneous information, such as humidity and barometric pressure, though conspicuously lacking in anything that could be ascertained through magical methods. Between the two sets of data, an internal map of the facility should be relatively easy to achieve. "I can teleport, but not over exceptionally long distances. I'll-" Weiss pauses as the very conspicuous fox runs across the entry and actually manages to draw the guards away.

". . . there is an exceptionally low chance that was a coincidence. I suggest we move while our mysterious benefactor is working for us." From thereon, Weiss will take the lead through the facility, likely alongside Elner, using the shared map and her own coordinate lock on the terminators to aim for the heatsink first.
Yuna Kagurazaka Well, that takes care of the guards, and obliviates the line that Yuna was working along. "Nice," the Japanese blonde murmurs with a smile as Finna's trick sends the guards chasing off to investigate the curiously fascinating sound of barking. Elner does indeed move to accompany Weiss, enacting the datalink and exchanging data with her, helping fill in details on the map that Weiss's own sensors might not have picked up. Keeping track of where regular people are is an important thing, too ...

Yuna is following behind Weiss and Elner, moving quickly but relatively quietly. "If we have to fight those Terminators - and I hope we don't - then we have to be really careful not to damage the powerplant around us." She takes stock of who's with the group; she doesn't know much about Weiss so far, and while she knows Jono and Finna (not that she's SEEN the Lunar yet - and she only knows Jonothon's here because of his psionic 'voice'), she isn't sure how well they'll handle an encounter in close quarters against mechanized, human-size enemies ...
Jonothon Starsmore Jono is unaware of Zwei's odd look at him but he does look up as the guards start running away. He blinks. And then Zwei suggests they take advantage of the distraction. "Good idea," he agrees. And he seems prepared to follow her into the building. She has tech so she probably has a better idea of where they're going than he does. He'll be trying to keep out of sight though.

Yuna's statement gets a nod as well. "An' we should probably figure they'll use that ter their advantage too. Threaten ter destroy th' place if we don' leave, what 'ave yer." He has his own misgivings about combat against these Terminators. Not that he might die-- he doesn't really care about that. What if he tries to hit one of them with a blast and misses?
Finna     Finna doesn't have to charge too long. She just leads the group into an alley. Of cousre, when they round the bend, she is no longer there. This is apparently the Very Important place the Very Important Fox thought they should be, but... the fox isn't anywhere to be found.

Clover Can't Be Found, after all. When you look for something, sometimes that makes it all the harder to notice it. So eyes will slide away from the white fox as she turns right the heck back around and retraces her steps. She bought the group a few minutes...

With any luck, these two will just probably just wonder if maybe fumes from some machinery here are making 'em lightheaded... there's nothing here to see, when they regain their composure!

    Just some trash.

Incidentally, there was also a very young rat, so Finna's scarfing it down while dashing back to follow the group!
John Connor      Heading down towards the cooling plant, the nuclear complex only grows more and more claustrophobic. There's a deep steady hum, which probably means someone is starting the plant up. There's still two Terminators down this way, but the quickest way through to their area is through a sealed corridor that claims decontamination suits are required past this point!

There's an alternate route, along some side passages and gantries, but that might take too long!
Zwei     Weiss stops at the sight of the sealed corridor, holding her hand up to indicate that Yuna and Jonothon should stop moving. "Two of them are just ahead in this room. If we blast the door down, they'll have time to react to us, and we'll probably cause collateral damage. I can warp through to the other side of this door and keep them occupied while you go the long way around. Is that acceptable?" Weiss' long ponytail de-rezzes into the back of a smooth, featureless, faceless helmet that suddenly encases her head, as if a digital artifact loaded from memory. With her undersuit on, she almost looks more prepared to ride a motorbike than fight.
Yuna Kagurazaka Well, the corridor is sealed, which is a good reason NOT to go through it - if somebody finds out unauthorized personnel went through there, then the plant's start-up will be delayed ... which would be bad. On the other hand, if the Terminators get to do their thing due to the group taking the long way around, it'll still be bad.

Third option time. "Elner, have you and Weiss got a good enough fix on the area where the Terminators are working to teleport all four of us there without putting anyone inside a wall - or inside the reactor?" asks Yuna. She's got her mental fingers crossed ... but Weiss is thinking along similar lines, it seems, with the mention of warping.

Elner looks at Weiss briefly, confirming map data as well as taking note of her transformation - and then Yuna undergoes her own transformation, a swirl of wind and light rising about her and replacing her civilian clothes with the sleekly armored Light Suit.

Said transformation seems to catch Yuna by surprise, if nothing else. "Whaa - ?! Oh ..." She looks around at the others. "I'd say not to split the group; Terminators can put up a *really* tough fight even without weapons ... we'd be better off getting the drop on them. Focused electromagnetics could force their systems into a reboot cycle, too - electrocuting them or hitting them with lightning or something," she suggests.
Jonothon Starsmore Jono blinks as Zwei suddenly is wearing a biker's outfit? Or something like it. Though as she mentions teleporting he inquires, "Can't yer take one of us with yer? That way yer won't be completely alone? These things are way stronger than a normal human." Yuna seems to have the same idea and Jono nods. "Good idea," he observes with a nod. "Wouldn't do for one of us ter get separated."

He also has to ask, "What's dangerous ter hit in there an' where is it? I don't wanna hit somethin' that'll blow us ter hell." His blasts are fairly powerful and he doesn't have the best control over them just yet. So being told where NOT to aim would probably be a good idea.
Zwei     "All of us at once would be even better. As for what you can and can't hit . . ." The faceplate of Weiss' helmet suddenly projects a very convenient holo display from the tiny camera mounts, showing a 3d map of the area inside, complete with the silhouettes of the terminators. Most of the wall panelling on the far side lights up, as do a series of canals running under the floor, and several very big, very obvious pieces of condenser machinery. "None of these things! Electrical panelling, water current, or fans going offline would cause a shutdown."
Yuna Kagurazaka Yuna looks over the map, "So put us between them and the sensitive machinery ... and we use short-range attacks as best we can?" she suggests. Then another thought crosses her mind ... she doesn't voice it openly, though, but the look on her face gives away that she DID just have another idea.

If it'd even work. She has her doubts.
Finna     This is an awful place, full of humming machinery and hissing steam and NOWHERE TO FLY OFF TO. Finna'd hate it if she was in human form. As it is, she's overheating a little and panting heavily thanks to it, but just trucks on for now.

Rat meat's not really that appealing, either.

Either way, she's not so sure about this darned place and mission anymore, and stops just behind the last bend before the others with ears on high alert for anyone approaching.
Jonothon Starsmore Jono's eye twitches at the 3D display of all the stuff he shouldn't hit. "Mngh... I'll try to aim for the ceilin' then," he notes. If there's nothing important to hit there. If so... well he's just gonna have to watch what he hits! For the time being though he just waits for the next move. He didn't have any real plans anyway. Just 'get in and find the missing people'.
Yuna Kagurazaka "Sounds like a plan then," Yuna says. "Okay ... Elner, put Jonothon here -" She indicates a spot in Weiss's diagram. "- and me and Weiss here and here ... make sure we're all facing towards them but not in each other's lines of fire."

The robo-faerie nods, and waits for everyone to confirm they're ready ... and then the four people would be teleported to, presumably, surround the Terminators.
John Connor      They arrive in a place that's much of the same - industrial equipment, big fans. One of the Terminators - an unassuming man in a white shirt and dark slacks, bald and oval-faced - is pulling off a valve. It's the sort of thing you need to be a superhuman to do with your bare hands, and he's managing it with ease. A nametag on his shirt reads Greenway.

The other Terminator is identical - same shirt, slacks, hair, face and nametag.

There's a booming sound of metal on metal from behind the group, and the /third/ Terminator appears. But this one is a young woman with dark hair, wearing the blue coveralls of a janitor. Yuna would immediately recognise her as Cameron. She's unarmed, and heading straight for the other two.

The numbers favor the good guys, at least.
Finna     Finna's quick and dashes into range just in time - but only barely. But just as she reappears wherever they're going... she zips off underneath some equipment and sniffs around. She's still panting heavily - but amongst all the noisy machinery, can anyone pck that up?

Finna's peeking out thouggh at the handful of people they've all approached....
Jonothon Starsmore Jono appears with the others and then raises his fists to get ready to fight. And then he notices someone...

"...Cameron?"

He looks straight at the female Terminator. He knows her. By name. And isn't attacking her. In fact he makes to face the target she's attacking. And pulls the wrappings on his face down.

And instantly it looks like his head is on fire. It isn't and there's no noticeable jump in his thermal signature. That's not actual fire burning out of his chest and around his head. But the fact that he's missing a large part of his body probably makes a lot more sense now.

Anyway he 'calls' out to her, "Cameron! Where's ev'ryone else?"
Zwei     Yuna's teleportation seems to work on significantly different principles than Zwei's, but there's no time to compare notes. The instant Weiss is into the room, she's making a beeline straight towards the nearest terminator, finally confirming visuals on the two skeletal targets she had been tracking this entire time. For an instant, it looks as if she's about to go after Cameron, before Jonothon calling out her name raises confusion about friendly fire, and so she sweves a sharp line towards one of the two identical men. A sizzling arc of electricity plays across her knuckles as she discharges her piezoelectric circuits into the surface of her skin, cocking her arm back, planting her foot into the floor, and then denting the floor plates with the force she pivots on that heel, slamming her fist into the terminator's stomach with a supersonic bang, followed by the coruscating flash of built up voltage discharging on contact.
Yuna Kagurazaka "Hey Cameron," Yuna greets the newest arrival; that should help act as a cue to her allies that the female Terminator is an ally. Jono's recognition ought to help too. But what Yuna does next is liable to defy logic ...

Because with a murmur of, "Shugoseiheki," a large kite shield - enameled in the same colors as the Light Suit itself - materializes on Yuna's left forearm, and she attempts to forcibly interpose herself between the two saboTerminators and the equipment they're sabotaging. "I'm really sorry, you two, but this area's off-limits to unauthorized personnel. We've been authorized to remove you, so could you possibly just cooperate peacefully, not put up a fight, and especially don't alert your comrade in the control room?"

She smiles brightly at the pair of hostile Terminators, gently pushing the lower tip of the kite shield against the floor in front of her feet - maybe digging the point into the floor a little, but not deep enough to make a significant mark.
John Connor      "In the control room," Cameron replies, like she's talking about the weather. Perhaps recognising her as a target, Greenway II steps up. Cameron immediately pistons her fist into the side of his head - there's a dull 'clang' of metal on metal. Greenway II doesn't stumble, and instead goes to grapple the smaller Terminator! There's no subtlety to these machines - just raw power.

Yuna interposes herself between the remaining Terminator and the valve that is hissing great gouts of steam into the air. Alarms begin to blare.

"We are authorised to be here," Greenway I remarks in a bland voice.

Managing to break the hold, Cameron kicks Greenway II away, just in time for Zwei to slam her fist into the Terminator. The armor crumples there, endoskeletal components twisting and breaking, and electricty arcs into the T-888. It boils out through his eyes, the point of least resistance, and leaves a pair of glowing red optical sensors in their place. Greenway II turns to engage Zwei.
Jonothon Starsmore Jono nods when Cameron tells him where the others are. He's sort of expecting the flat tone. "Were they still alive last yer saw 'em?" Suddenly the alarms start to blare. "...Bollocks." There goes their cover. If they had any to begin with. He sees the steam and curses again though this time mentally.

Time for Jono's stupid to rear its ugly head!

He tries to interpose himself between Yuna and the steam and use himself as a shield. His not-fire should mostly protect him. Though his chest-wrapping is probably going to be obliterated. Probably still hurts though! MEntal voice pained he calls out, "'Ow the bloody 'ell do I fix this?!" Presuming he can.
Yuna Kagurazaka "Not any more you aren't," Yuna says, wincing as the steam sears up along her back, and is probably doing *dreadful* things to her ponytail ... which she just drags over her right shoulder so it's hanging down along her front. Her left arm keeps that shield right where it is, at least until Jono pushes her out of the way, and she lets out a breath of relief - then brings the shield back up, along with a sword. "We need that valve back!" she answers Jonothon, and then tries a stabbing slash at Greenway I's elbow of the arm that's presumably still holding the valve. If she can drive the blade in, she'll push and twist to try and break the elbow joint apart ... and she's somewhat terrified that the Terminator might crush the valve in its hand or something before we can get it.
Zwei     Tougher than Zwei had thought. Being advised earlier that electrocution would work wasn't informative enough. In retrospect, it does seem like a silly weakness for weapons sufficiently advanced in design to imitate humans, but the amount of wattage required to short one of these out is probably more energy than it would take to destroy one if applied very precisely. Weiss leaps backwards as the second Greenway turns to engage her, soaring several meters through the air before planting her feet back down on the floor, just far enough out of reach to buy her the split second needed to rez a weapon. Her right hand clenches around the hilt of a rapidly assembling knife, made of a solid piece of carbon black material, with a razor fine band of green light running along the otherwise blunt blade. She waits just long enough for the first blow to come her way, then intercepts with a lightning swift, reverse gripped slash, aiming to take the photonic edge of her weapon straight through the shoulder joint of the terminator, and given the opportunity, plant it firmly in its neck.
Finna     EWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWW. That's not even artistic like Bitter Medicine's structure.... like some hideous skull. Finna makes a snarling sound as the machine's true nature is revealed, and darts out from cover at high speeds.

The little fox is after the aforementioned valve, too! Instead of Bothering to fight these things, it simply hops up and RUNS ALONG THE WALLS, bouncing back and forth with crazy acrobatic motions. It blitzes past the criminal Terminator, there's a flash of motion quicker than most eyes can see...

If all goes well, then perhaps, maybe, she'll land on the walkway behind it, with the machinery clutched in her jaws, tail wagging wildly!
John Connor      Cameron pauses, and she looks at Jono. It's a very unimpressed look, and strangely expressive. "Yes," she remarks. She turns back to face Greenway I, going for the valve, which he seems to decide to hurl at her!

It'd probably do a fair bit of damage, if Finna wasn't there to grab it out of the air! Good dog!

As he completes the throwing motion of his arm, Yuna's blade comes down on Greenway I's arm and severs it at the elbow. Wires and shards of endoskeleton dangle from the useless limb as his forearm hits the floor, twitching.

Zwei's own blade bites deep into Greenway II's shoulder, burying deep into the neck joint. The Terminator spasms, head twitching, although its face betrays no expression. "Sever the head or destroy the primary power cell!" Cameron says, taking up Greenway I's limb and... yes, she's beating him with it, seeming to create an opening for Yuna to capitalise on!
Jonothon Starsmore Jono notices that Finna has the valve and calls out to her, "Over here!" He can't block the steam forever. It's probably both heated and powerful enough to eventually rip right through him. He quite literally has only one side to him at least where his torso is concerned. Hopefully he'll have the strength to overcome the strength of the steam stream and put the valve back on if Finna brings it over to him. If he's not strong enough he may have to call someone else over...
Yuna Kagurazaka Yuna's heart skipped a beat there, she's pretty sure - but the valve has been reclaimed, and Jono's noticed it as well. Excellent. Now there are only two and a half problems left to solve, and the solutions for all of them are getting easier to grasp by the moment.

With Cameron stepping in as 'tank' to whack Greenway I with his own arm, Yuna takes a step or two to get squarely behind the hostile Terminator - and with Elner verifying the target spot for her, Yuna stabs, wincing as she does so.

She KNOWS Skynet's Terminators are just robots, bound by their programming and the commands they've received ... but she also knows that Cameron is just the same, and yet she's shown hints of a personality that's more than just the sum of her code.

The end result is that the stab is somewhat half-hearted - but it might still be enough to break the power cell ensconced within Greenway I's torso.

... or, it might not be.
Zwei     Finally, some useable advice! Thanks Cameron! Letting go of the knife for a moment, Weiss dives under the Greenway's arm, re-grips the hilt, grabs its opposite limb, and then yanks its far arm towards her, spinning the robot around a full rotation with the energy blade still embedded in its neck, before smashing into it with her shoulder, hopefully severing the neck like the motion of a can-opener. Whether or not number II is taken care of for the moment, Weiss moves to tackle the first one out of the way, opening up a chance for Finna to get through with the valve and thus remove Jono from his position protecting Yuna.
Finna     SNAGGED!

Finna goes twirling through the air oddly, consequences of that snag not going quite like she intended... but she hits the ground and goes scrabbling-skidding for a good few yards. She can't exactly bark like this, but she does taunt the Terminators by lowering her forward body, wagging her tail, and giving them THAT LOOK.

The look says 'catch me if you can.' Even a machine couldn't possibly mistake it, because that's Lunars for you!

Hearing Jono, however, she immediately responds and...

    VAULTS UP TO THE CEILING.

... yes, she's now running ON THE CEILING. Why didn't she do that to start with?

She drops down onto Jono's shoulders, bends forward and relinquishes the little valve. THEn she barks, as if saying 'hurry!'
John Connor      The steam is very, very hot! As Jono would be finding.

Yuna's blade strikes well and true, piercing the living flesh and thick hyperalloy breastplate of the Terminator to strike its power cell. The malevolent red light in Greenway I's eyes dims and then dies completely, collapsing like a puppet with his strings cut.

Zwei's blade splits Greenway II's head from his shoulders in a shower of sparks. There's very little blood, and smoke curls up from ruined circuitry with an acrid stench. Two down.

But the alarms are still going and the valve still isn't on.

"You should hurry," Cameron tells Jono and Finna.
Jonothon Starsmore Jono gives a quiet 'oof' when Finna hands on his shoulder. More out of surprise than pain. Even if he is lighter than he should be for his height thanks to missing most of the internal organs. ANYWAY! The valve! He turns his attention to trying to replace the thing and nods to Cameron's words. No time for a rebuttal now.

This is probably going to hurt a WHOLE LOT. But nonetheless Jono tries to put the valve back on. However much strength it takes, if he has it he'll use it. Hopefully it'll be enough to get the valve back on. If he's VERY lucky he'll be able to keep all his fingers in doing this. He wears gloves but leather may not be much of a barrier to this steam.
Zwei     Trusting that Jonothon has the valve well under control, Weiss picks herself back up, deactivates her knife, and magnetically attaches it to her hip, letting the faceplate of her helmet rez out again so she can look Cameron up and down in a more polite manner. "So you're Cameron? A friend of John's? You have an extremely similar physical makeup to those skynet units. Were you built by the same manufacturer? Or are you with another counterpart to skynet. I'm not terribly familiar with the situation here, but those-" she points at the machines on the ground "-are from an alternate timeline, sent here to collapse this one into theirs, correct?"
Yuna Kagurazaka Yuna sags a bit as Greenway I sags a LOT. "Elner, teleport the corpses outside so we don't have to carry them ... ?" she asks her robo-faerie companion; Elner would probably check on where the Connors parked their truck - they tend to take personal care of Terminator 'corpse' disposal, after all - and try to coordinate with John about that question.

And having delegated that task, Yuna lets her sword vanish, and turns her attention to helping replace the valve. If there are tools around - which would make SOME sense; this is where you'd need a wrench that is specifically built for taking a valve off its fitting - then she'll find a suitable wrench or whatever and provide it to Jonothon. She might also need to help provide some strength to the task, if Jonothon honestly needs the extra help.
Finna     All that steam is WAY too much at this point. Finna starts coughing. It's too hut, too humid, and she's ALREADY overheating. So she can sympathize with poor Jono's plight.

As if cheering him on, she croons encouragingly, then licks his cheek.

But a moment later she leaps free of his shoulder, and...

Her whole body JUTS UPWARDS, gaining mass and volume at a shocking pass. It's not to human, but her WARFORM. There's soon a TALL, yet sleek and rather powerful FOXWOMAN in the cramped corridor.

"Get that thing fixed! I don't know what's gonna happen if you don't, but 'nuclear meltdown'? SOUNDS ANYTHING BUT GOOD TO ME!"

She throws her own arm into the way, growling all the while.

It would be pretty bad. It IS pretty bad, actually. She scowls, growls, and groans. Her flesh starts melting straight off her bones. It's not a pretty sight.

But then a thick carapace starts forming in waves and layers shooting down her arm, and plate-like armor's formed over the ruined hand.

She can't buy much time, but less steam in the face means higher quality work!
John Connor      It burns! The steam is incredibly hot, already being able to scald the flesh of anyone who tried to fix it. Luckily, the Union Elites aren't exactly normal people.

It probably doesn't take more than a minute, all in all, as everyone grips the big red valve and turns it. Even Cameron steps up and adds her strength to it, not seeming to care about the extreme heat. The power of teamwork, however, on the part of the Elites, gets that valve closed.

But they're going to sting for a bit.

And just like that, the alarms die off.

Cameron stares back at Zwei, face neutral. "I'm John's friend," she says. "I'm different to those machines. They're scary robots, from the future. You shouldn't ask too many questions about them."

     Well, that's ominous.

And it is just at that time, Sarah Connor and Derek Reese come racing around the corner. "Everything's fine up there," Sarah says, voice terse. "Let's move. Security's coming."

Another day, another bit of the future saved.
