Natsuki Nuki | A long future ago, in a space dominated by crossover movies, datelines and datapoints became irrelevant in the face of overwhelmingly marketable plastic. At any given time there was at least one of these grand conflicts ongoing, and regularly several, as histories crashed together and canons became snarled in deeply referential catalytic contact. Great evils rose. Grand alliances of heroes emerged. Pyrotechnics budgets were spent. In one, the Super Galaxy King was battled and defeated, and the pieces of the Chou GingaOh were scattered down across time and space. For the time administrators and maintainers of the tokusatsu timelines... There were always a few loose ends. --- The Concord Kamen Riders, Zi-O and Woz, had engaged the new Partner, Natsuki Nuki (aka 'the Lady Nue'), in finding a connection with a 'certain someone' - Michal Minato from 2050, a Rider from the future. Sympathetic to the quest to gain new abilities to make up for realized flaws, Natsuki had placed her considerable resources behind the search - and, 'lucky' as usual, there was a hit. An artifact from one of the great conflicts in strange quarries beyond canon connected to Minato had fallen through the cracks in realities and landed in Osaka in 200X, rolling into the collection of a smaller-time crime family that had long prophesized and preordained that their day would come in the form of a heavenly storm. When a trio of power coins had landed into their laps like meteors during a monsoon, granting might and power over water, it had appeared as if their belief was answered. Now occupying a multi-story office building as their personal den-headquarters within four or so staircases of the Osaka Aquarium in the waterfront area of the city, 'Poseidon' and their gang made a medium sized problem for themselves. In premium real estate! Arranging for gathering at the closest landmark, the Aquarium's outer walk features a long raised approach of tiled squares patterend in colors of tan and brown, fenced with white metal, and centering the blue, red, and silver aquarium facade with its depiction of schools of fish as a grand and textured mural. On that walk, where normally hawkers or other stores would be loudly slinging concessions to great throngs, there is a great thinning because of the mild rain that falls in steady drops with no sign of abating from dreary clouds. Another wonderful day! Despite that, it's the harbor area, and its used to being wet. The pathlights spill orange lanterns of mist-distorted bulb-brightness into the rainslicked early evening, and those that make their livelihoods selling dinner to tourists and travelers are still out. At one stall is a young Asian man in dark jeans and a bright blue hooded windbreaker jacket and with a pair of diving goggles around his neck - Michal Minato, Kamen Rider Aqua. His light brown hair is cut short, leaving only eye-level bangs. He seems to be having an uncertain time enjoying his paper tray and skewer of takoyaki besides his companion - and whom you are here to meet. |
Natsuki Nuki | Standing besides Minato is Natsuki - a tiger-limbed and striped pantherine humanoid in gold-orange and dark brown with black stripes. Atop her head is an artfully messy arrangement of white bangs and a ponytail, two brown-limned orange ears poking from the sides of the pull. Definitely the bigger one between herself and Minato, she wears a slightly overdesigned white hoodie over a black sleeveless top that her arms puff the sleeves of, over a black skirt that stops mid-thigh. A serpentine tail hooks from her back and out from beneath the overdesigned charms and zippers of the jacket, black scaled atop and ridged grey bellied beneath, seamed on the side at irregular intervals with blinking eyes, red irised and black scleraed. She holds an umbrella in her arms while stacking up a third stick of spent Takoyaki skewers into a sauced tray, licking her chops and smiling. "Relax. Everyone gets what they want in the end." Natsuki purrs gently, discards her trays into Minato's grip, and then flips out her phone to send an update on the meeting place out to her new Concord contacts. |
Timespace Riders | A swirl of grey fabric from nowhere heralds the arrival of Sougo and Woz. The aspiring greatest, kindest Demon King of Time wears a long charcoal raincoat over blue jeans, with bright blue sneakers and a faded pink button-up with powder blue stripes; Woz is dressed as he always is. "Hi, Natsuki!" Sougo smilingly greets. "Lady Nue," Woz likewise offers, inclining his head politely. "A delight to see you again so soon." "My, my, my," says Woz, turning his cat-that-got-the-canary smile to Michal. "The hero himself, in the flesh." A bit of praise, deliberately chosen to toe the line between genuine and gratingly uncomfortable. "Nice to meet you," says Sougo, more brightly. "I'm Sougo. This is my retainer, Woz." "We are of course intimately familiar with you already," says the retainer with a little flourish of his hand turned upwards to the light drizzle. "Rest assured, my Demon King and I shall assuage your... particular concerns as best we are able." "How's the food?" Sougo asks Natsuki, trusting her to be the expert over Michal and taking a seat beside her. "I've been looking forward to this all week, you know," he then admits with one of his beaming grins. "I just know you're gonna put the place to good use!" |
Angela | A new LobCorp Agent has been approved for multiversal work! Sakura of the Records department! He wears the Heaven EGO gear which means that he has a long red fleshy spear on his back and his armor has a bunch of eyeballs strewn around it. He is also carrying a camcorder and is recording everything he sees. An Angelapad is wrapped around one of his arms to keep them relatively free for recording. "Yo yo yooooo!" Sakura says. "Sougo THE DEMON KING and Woz THE CHRONICLER OF TIME meeting with Concord Partner Natsuki aka The Lady Nue and a Kamen Rider...from the future. Act 1! Let's go!"r He raises up the camcorder. "Don't mind me just act natural! You're gonna be stars, no! You are already stars in the sky, I'm just here to make cinema out of our incredible lives... Hell yeah hell yeah!" Angela says, "I apologize for my Agent's eccentricies but we determined he was barely within acceptable baselines--" "Haha don't worry I didn't forget you, Taboo Star...!" His stomach openly grumbles at the sight of yummy food but he ignores it. "Tell the audience how tasty the food is, exageratedly so the slower folks can get the vibe!" |
Kukuru | What's better than a weekend spent with friends and family? A weekend spent lazing around not having to do anything the entire time, probably, but that's not in the cards for Kukuru today. There's always a silver lining, of course, since she's never actually been to Osaka or 200X, and she's never met the Concord's newest Partner. That helps keep her spirits raised as she arrives at the Aquarium right on time, stepping out of a darkened cloud that signals her arrival on the rooftop. There's a pause as she peers downwards, looking at the stalls and the pair at that one in particular that Sougo and Woz arrive from. Not wanting to scare Natsuki or Minato, she instead takes a second cloud portal that deposits her just behind an empty stall, then steps around it like a normal person that wasn't thinking about whether or not to just hop off the roof and save energy on having to teleport. "Natsukiii? Oh, there you are, hello hello~" She pipes up with her usual sleepy tone, perking up a bit more as she gets her confirmation from the alert on her phone. Her hair's messy as ever with strands of it going every which way and dangling to her waist in uneven curls, but her clothes are still fairly immaculate between the frilly blouse with the little bowtie and the equally frilly skirt. They don't stay that way, of course, since it's raining out, blouses aren't known for repelling water, and she's got more important things to do than take an umbrella out of her pocket. Namely, she needs to greets the newest member of the family, and that means half-walking half-jogging over to greet her with a wide-open hug and one of those good takeout containers packed with food. "I didn't know what you liked, so I tried to get a little of everything in there." She explains, perhaps to assuage any fears about why the container feels like it's heavy enough to break someone's nose. Sougo, Woz, and Sakura (and any other Concord members showing up) get offered the same hug and thing of food, of course, although each successive hug is likely to get a little soggier. The Angelapad, in lieu of a hug, gets Kukuru leaning in close with a bright smile, a rapid wave, and a brief wipe with a towel to hopefully keep the camera from fogging up too much. "It's so nice to meet you, deeear~ My name's Kukuru." Beat to digest. "That's Ku-ku-ru. Have you and Minato been waiting long?" She asks, looking over at Minato and offering him a similarly damp hug in greeting. It's only after all the greetings are done that she finally remembers to pull a fully-sized umbrella out of her pocket and pops it open overhead. "Aaand... Oh. Where're we headed for today's trip, anyway? I hope we get to stay outside for it... It's so nice out here today, you knooow?" |
Madeleine Cadrasteia | Madeleine's wondered for a while what this 'Kamen Rider' business is about. Not all of them are in the Desire Grand Prix - so what is it that the others *do*? She's learned from Haru that it's in part about protecting people, but emergencies are not exactly something you can clock in and out for. Do they even have day jobs? They'd better. So when a call comes in for help with some Rider business, she takes the opportunity to show up She's also brought Torrie, her minotaur bodyguard. The (literally) bull-headed woman seems to have misunderstood 'Kamen Rider Aqua' and 'mafia aquarium' as some kind of beach day, because she's in a dark blue one-piece swimsuit instead of her usual tunic and cloak, and her battleaxe's handle is poking out of a picnic basket. "I brought cucumber sandwiches!" she eagerly volunteers to anyone who'll listen. Madeleine is dressed a little more professionaly, insofar as 'like a K-Pop star aping fetishwear styles' is the huntress's version of professional. She too seems prepared for an aquatic misadventure, although in a different way from her bodyguard: she's carrying a couple harpoons on her back beside her spear, and a coil of rope on one hip. She's already acquired her own takoyaki skewer, and works at it with vigor. When she finally pauses to catch her breath, she also takes the moment to ask, "So we're after some coins the aquarium folks have, yeah? Are they still letting people waltz in to see the fish or are we doing some B&E?" |
Kukuru | Today's food boxes: Grilled chicken and eggplant vodka parmigiana (heavy on the vodka), fried beef cubes and broccoli with honey garlic mayonnaise, and Cantonese-style shrimp and eggs, and stir-fried egg noodles with curry seasoning. Everything is (technically) in its own quadrant, but the flavors are all kind of mixed up since there's nothing physically dividing everything. |
Angela | When Kukuru goes in for a hug, Sakura hugs her with one arm and spins thr camcorder around so its recording her. "A little extra starpower doesn't hurt...! Ignore the camera,Kukuru, but tell me how excited you are for this new film!" Angela's screen is wiped down. "Thank you Kukuru." Angela says.. Her expression remains flat. "Everybody bringing food... Is this going to be... A Cooking Showdown??" Sakura wonders aloud. |
Shinmyoumaru Sukuna | While not all Kamen Riders are in the Desire Grand Prix, Shinmyoumaru Sukuna (AKA Kamen Rider Ochiba) sure is! Despite that she didn't show up *as* the Kamen Rider, but she was certainly interested enough to show up. She probably would have no matter what but now she certainly can't decline. Shinmyoumaru shows up in her just-below-human size, maybe four feet tall, but she's making up for it by riding her bowl; it looks like a giant rice bowl large enough to sit in, black with gold lacquer patterning. She sits in it like a captain of a small boat and it drifts through the air like it was being carried down the river. She is wearing its lid as a hat, too, but that's not too unusual. It has the added benefit of keeping her dry from the rain. It also puts her head up conveniently around human head height. That wasn't unintentional. "Ah, I'm late! I don't want to be late for Concord business!" Shinmyoumaru uses a bamboo pole to push her little boat-bowl faster, though she pushes against nothing at all rather than actually reaching down to the ground. (There's a sewing needle scaled up to be the size of a sword tucked into the top of the bamboo pole, a little scrap of cloth tied through its eye holding it in.) "Especially if there's free food!" She comes to a fast brake by dragging the pole for a moment, beams toward most of the Concord, and then hesitates when she sees Natsuki. Her eyes narrow. And then she rises half-out of her bowl, planting one foot on the edge of it and tilting the whole thing forward alarmingly so she can point dramatically at Natsuki. "Youkai!" she declares, and her voice does *not* sound happy. It would be more imposing if it wasn't coming out of someone her size, but it's clearly what she's going for. |
Hamada Haru | It is necessary, in every crossover film, for there to be present somebody who really only tangentially belongs there by virtue of sharing a title and an aesthetic in the loosest possible sense. Whereas Kamen Rider Zi-O and Kamen Rider Woz are scheduled to be here, the former Kamen Rider Tetra is here essentially coincidentally and in accordance with the twist of fate that brings these things together. He's standing at a kushikatsu stand ordering a small array of shrimp, mushroom, and onion skewers when he hears familiar voices nearby and turns to see Sougo and Woz talking to a chimeric woman and an unfamiliar young man. He looks at them for a long moment, then turns around and pays for his food, receiving them in a long paper bag that he deposits in a coat pocket so he can eat them comfortably while holding his umbrella. Hamada Haru is standing just to one side of the kushikatsu stand, enjoying skewered mushrooms, when he comes to the general understanding that he is in fact in a crossover movie, and that some wild stuff is going to go down if he doesn't disengage pretty hard. He turns the idea of visiting the aquarium over in his head. It wasn't really in his plans today to get involved with... Finishing one skewer and moving on to the next, his eyes slide from Sougo to the arriving Sakura, to Kukuru, and then to Madeleine and the minotaur that accompanies her. ... Are they talking about robbing an aquarium? Why is that guy asking about a cooking showdown? Haru sighs, and angles his umbrella down a little so his face is obscured if the camera happens to be pointed across the way. Moving on to a shrimp skewer, he oscillates back and forth on what he even wants to do here. And wonders, distantly, whether or not Woz has or will read about him being here. On the off chance he has, and at least partially because he thinks it would be funny to leave messages across time, Haru pauses his eating and types a text message he never sends to a blank number before re-pocketing his phone: Hey. Fill me in. |
Timespace Riders | I brought cucumber sandwiches! "Oh, could you save one for me? I'll probably have a good appetite worked up once we're done here." Sougo and Woz both hug Kukuru back--Sougo isn't one to turn a gesture like that down, and Woz will begrudgingly admit to some fondness for her. "For me, also, if you please." Is this going to be... A Cooking Showdown?? "No," says Woz flatly. So we're after some coins the aquarium folks have, yeah? Hey. Fill me in. "To make a long story quite short, our friend Mr. Minato is a time traveler, as our esteemed colleague Angela's newest asset noted. Though he is in our company today as a Kamen Rider, in the present Michal has yet to be born. Artifacts from his world's past have fallen through time and space into the hands of a crime family from this world." "Those of you with an inclination towards the occult may think of these coins as the means to mantle a certain onerous and willful power. This is neither ideal for Mr. Minato, who fancies himself a hero of justice, nor for the Lady Nue, who finds in this family a bothersome obstacle to the growth of her legend." Youkai! "That's Natsuki," says Sougo gently. "She's our newest Partner, which means she's your friend and you can call on each other when you need help, okay?" |
Natsuki Nuki | Natsuki, umbrella couched, sways with raincoverage in arm and turns, grinning white-toothed at the coil-clothed arrival of Sougo and Woz. As she does, the previously-covered Minato gets a drizzle atop his head, grimacing and wincing at the sudden dribble on his head and cooling food. Recovering, not actually all that bothered by the water and eating his first takoyaki skewer slightly damp, Minato takes a closed-eyed moment to chew and swallow and find his center within himself again, before turning to the introducing Sougo and Woz. "Nice to meet you, I'm--" We are of course intimately familiar with you already, Minato pauses and frowns again, and then continues. "S-sou. Well, then you already know - I'm Minato Michal. Thanks for helping me out," He bows once a little stiffly, particularly to Zi-O (and Woz), and then turning to Madeleine and Kukuru as they arrive, bows again. "Please take care of me." I just know you're gonna put the place to good use! Natsuki glances past Sougo, from the aquarium walk and through the rainmist, to the closest five story office building two and a half stories sunk into staircases and walks. "Sougo," Asides the confidently grinning chimeric tiger-woman, serpentine eye-seamed tail swaying aside to peer at Madeleine as she approaches with a slow ripple of irregularly-spaced blinks. "I'm sure I can find something to do with waterfront property, but today's about you and Woz, isn't it?" She asks, affecting humble-questioning. Minato doesn't seem to entirely buy it, but for those in the know: Kamen Riders don't often deal positively with people who are one bad filming angle away from being a classic kaijin. Today, though, it seems to be what the deal is! Stancing up as the camcorder-wielding loud agent approaches, Minato first looks at the spear, and then down at the shouting Sakura. "We are about go into battle. I'm not sure this," Cut off by Natsuki pushing his Takoyaki back towards his mouth and having to dodge the pointy end of a stick, Minato gags and goes wide-eyed in sputtering while Natsuki gives a closed-paw raised-claw thumbs up from over his shoulder. "He loves it. He's the one who picked fried food! Imagine, fried octopus in the rain! Like we're on a *date*!" Jokes the giggling Natsuki, who laugh-twitters birdlike - a hyoo-hyoo-hyoo flutter like a songbird was caught in her throat. More food runs up like a comedy routine as Kukuru arrives to join Torrie's cucumber sandwiches, taking up all the space under the sole food service umbrella in concrete stand around the Takoyaki stand with a grand spread of potluck dishes, so while Haru approaches from the outskirts it seems more like an oddly catered club meeting than any grand gathering of Elites. Nevertheless, crossover movies start on thinner premises. "Not the aquarium," Natsuki explains, pointing a finger towards the front of the Aquarium, then left across a walk and down two staircases, where a lower street and business district spread. The first building, with a large set of signage, threw every sign of emptied-out property between businesses, except for how all the lights were on inside and many of the windows showed occupancy through curtains and shapes through shades. "The family offices right next door. They're supposed to have some coins Minato needs." |
Natsuki Nuki | Ah! I'm late! Natsuki turns to see Shinmyoumaru with a grand curled-lipped smile across her face and wide eyes with red irises gazing down at the sized-up inchling with a barely-restrained... Starstruck gleam? Even as she's decried as a Youkai, her umbrella nearly goes over her shoulder as she claps big hands together and one ruffly-socked leg lifts into the rain as she balances and wows! "A legend! Oh, you must be from the *big city*, oh, this is wonderful!" Standing more at ease, Natsuki's laughter returns triumphant-whistling. "I *knew* joining the Concord would make me a peer with the big city legends!" Haru might approach, Natsuki and Minato both expecting the arrival of a bunch of unknowns before they get started, and Natsuki currently surreptitiously trying to make sure her glitter-glazed black claws have any blemish before a grand legend like the Inchling. |
Madeleine Cadrasteia | "So these coins," Madeleine says, "since they're good for more than just currency, they're probably in the hands of important people, right? No sense locking them in a safe when you could be getting some use out of them. We'll need to make sure these people don't just, you know, leave through the back door or take a helicopter from the roof if we bust in the front. If I know my crime bosses they'll want a good view so I think we can expect to find our coins on the top floor - think we should put someone on the roof so they can't get out that way? I could make it up there pretty easy, wait for a signal to come in through a window or whatever." "Or... I'm great at sneaking around, Torrie and I could take the fire escape to the second or third floor and make the way up from the front a little easier for the rest of y'all. That's a bit less concrete but it means I'm not sitting around on the roof while you lot do the heavy lifting. What do we think?" |
Kukuru | Still giggling a bit at Angela's reply, Kukuru straightens back up and starts to wave at the camcorder before remembering what Sakura said like three seconds ago. "Oh, suuuper excited, mhm! I haven't seen Natsuki or Minato in action before, so I bet we'll get a biiig reaction once they get to show off their moves. Maybe we'll even get to see all sorts of tasty... Neat fishies in there, too." She predicts with a quick nod, already having her mind veering towards food when Torrie brings up the sandwiches she's brought. "I wonder what they'll do... Oh, the people inside, aaaand Natsuki and Minato. Any ideas?" She asks Sakura while ruffling his hair a bit with her free hand, then holding her fingers up in a peace sign at the camcorder. Shimyoumaru's declaration, meanwhile, gets a curious chuckle out of Kukuru. "Yo.. Kai? Ohhh, I thought it was Natsu-ki. Okaaay~" Clearly getting the wrong idea, she still seems relaxed as ever while taking one of those offered sandwiches and munching on it for a hit of something cold and not so heavy to eat. Thankfully, she doesn't blow Haru's cover. Does she even know he's there? No, that's just an unrelated visitor with an umbrella. Double thankfully, Woz explains the situation, and Kukuru nods firmly once she's done getting a few extra boxes of food set up on the stand. "So we've gotta... Keep these coins out of dangerous hands. Sounds easy enough. We should be done nice and quick in time to visit some places after, then~" She suggests with a hopeful smile, looking from Woz and Sougo to Shinmyoumaru when the latter addreses her. "Mhm, Sougo's right. Natsukai's part of our family now, and I'm sure we'll all be seeing each other plenty even after all this." With that ever pleasant smile still on her face, Kukuru feels her spirits surging as Natsuki shows her own excitement at Shinmyoumaru's reputation. "See? She's alraedy excited to be working with you, too.. Hehe. Isn't that lovely?" "And you can join us, too, if you wanna." She adds to Minato, swaying idly in her stance as she holds a hand out to the Rider from the future. "As you can see, everyone's real close, and you won't have to worry about a thing with us around. HOpefully, we won't have to fight, but documenting stuff like this can be preeetty important, too." She adds, backing up Sakura with a quick thumbs-up and then an open-mouthed yawn despite herself. Natsuki clarifies that the Aquarium is not their destination today, but the building nearby! Kukuru eyes the building closely as she rubs her chin, staring at the ground level for several moments before clapping her hands together. "Oh, this'll be suuuper easy. We can just head in and let them know, right? I'm sure they'll understand once we explain that we need those coins in there." Indeed, Kukuru's far more confident than she should probably be about all this as she just starts heading towards the office's front doors. "Hello in theeere....!" She knocks twice and waits, of course, since good manners dictates that she shouldn't just barge right in first thing. |
Angela | "Ah.... Romance!" Sakura declares. "Kukuru's wrong though, Minato. Star crossed romance is the best! Definitely keep dating Lady Nue in secret...!" He aims the camera at him. "Your romance will be mega popular that way..." "Ignore Sakura." Angela says. "Join the Concord so your romance can have minimal drama, thank you." She is frustrated that Sukuna is recognized as a big city legend whereas she has struggled to get a word in. Her brow furrows, vengefully and completely needlessly because she probably wouldn't love being talked up THAT much either. It'd make her suspicious. Sakura swings the camera towards Madeleine. "Yeah! A sneaking mission?? I'll join you for great footage!!" Angela sighs uneasily. |
Shinmyoumaru Sukuna | "I know that," Shinmyoumaru stage-whispers back to Sougo. "But still! Youkai! They're the ones who humiliated the inchlings and then forgot them, them and the oni!" A beat, then she admits, slightly grudgingly, "Though probably not her," because Natsuki is neither old enough (maybe; with nue how do you tell?) or Gensokyoan enough to have had anything to do with it. But when Natsuki replies to her, Shinmyoumaru still holds that pose for just a little too long... and then she lowers her hand, taken aback. Her? A legend? And then she laughs. "Ha ha ha! That's me, a legend! I'm Shinmyoumaru Sukuna, Princess of the Inchlings and descendant of Issun-boshi! At last, at last, a youkai recognizes me!" Her previous attitude - uncertain, unhappy, even a little upset - has vanished, replaced with beaming pride. Is this all it takes to handle her? (Yes, some days.) Completely mollified, so much so that she doesn't even notice Angela's annoyance, Shinmyoumaru distracts herself by stealing one of Kukuru's takeout containers, though honestly she did not have to steal it and Kukuru may not even think of it as stealing. She has chopsticks with her and gets to work. "Mph?" she asks, a moment later, with her mouth full. She swallows, then tries again: "Oh, you want them? I can just go in and take a look around." Nobody notices Shinmyoumaru when she doesn't want to be noticed. "She knows!" Shinmyoumaru points with the back end of her chopsticks at Maddie. "We've worked together before, and we're *friends*." She knows a lot of the others, too, but she's done the most 'work' with Madeleine. (Except Sakura. She doesn't know him.) |
Hamada Haru | Haru is answered without actually approaching too directly, which surprises him a little. The explanation is a good enough one that he doesn't feel meaningful trepidation about the situation anymore. People getting ahold of artifacts of power usually results in more Kamen Riders or ominous organizations full of people trying to become God. His gaze follows the indication made by Natsuki away from the aquarium and towards the office building-- and he partway checks out to finish up what he's eating. His order hadn't actually been made with 'and some sort of adventurous operation is imminent', so he might actually end up being slower than the others at getting into the thick of things. Which is fine, since he's the outsider here. He takes out his phone a second time, types another unsent: 'Thanks.' Then he walks away. By the time anyone spots him again (not because he's stealthy, he just wanders over and isn't particularly noteworthy, as a Japanese man wandering around a Japanese city) he's on the roof of the office building, finishing off his last couple of skewers-- two shrimp skewers, in fact. The mass of used bamboo skewers rattles in his pocket when he places the second-to-last of them in there. An extremely toyetic gun sits at his hip, a cylindrical 'something' plugged in to it where a magazine ought to be. Power coins... he ponders to himself, as he waits for an Incident to occur. It doesn't really bother him that he wasn't actually invited, but the temporal displacement angle -- among other things -- is bothersome. It was scavenging similar finds that had led to the rise of Rider Services, after all. They had yet to innovate their own power source, so in a way they were proof-of-concept of the worth of securing items like those. The last skewer rattles into place in his pocket, out comes a napkin that he cleans up with before lifting the transteam gun at his hip. He's hardly taking point, and he's not an official part of the operation going on here, but Haru stands and waits, listening for the first sign of an ongoing scuffle. He'll get a look at the items they're looking for, and decide how he feels about it from there. |
Timespace Riders | I'm sure I can find something to do with waterfront property, but today's about you and Woz, isn't it? It literally is, yes. Still, Sougo smiles bashfully and rubs the back of his head. "Indeed. You are most gracious, Lady Nue," Woz praises with a deferential inclination of his head. Torrie and I could take the fire escape to the second or third floor and make the way up from the front a little easier for the rest of y'all. "Sure! It's only Poseidon we're after, anyway." Shinmyoumaru's unease seems to be handled pretty soundly--that draws a pleased smile from Sougo, always trying to play the peacemaker when he can. I'm sure they'll understand once we explain that we need those coins in there. Woz sighs through his nose. "You are overflowing with charity as always, Kukuru," he says. "Um... what Woz means is, they won't give it to us for nothing, Kukuru," says Sougo, frowning thoughtfully. "They'll want to get something out of it and they also won't want to look weak. Which... we're already here without an appointment, so that's not great..." He taps an index to his chin. "Even if we had one, they're probably not going to accept anything where they come out on the back foot against their competitors--and Natsuki is definitely *the* competition. I don't really know what we could offer that doesn't just stall out and lead to a fight. Plus... we don't want to give them anything they could use against her. Woz and I will back you up anyway, but I wouldn't count on them being all that understanding." Sougo and Woz flank Kukuru on her approach, as the Demon King promised. Woz pinches the bridge of his nose and heaves the most put-upon sigh at her saccharine greeting. Sougo wears his best and most innocently-sweet smile alongside hers. |
Natsuki Nuki | "Happy to be a part of the family." Natsuki assures, preens with a musical warble of a laugh, and dips her red-eyed attention to the proud inchling. "Though everyone has made me feel welcome, I'm looking forward to drawing lessons from many other legends." A side-eye over Sakura to Angela's presence gets a delighted agreement. "He *should* join the Concord, but not for minimal dr--" Pushing out of the arm about his shoulder, Minato starts down towards the ramp. "I will thank the whole Concord for helping me in my time of need," If he must. "But the power of Poseidon is something that can't just exist here. Inevitably... People will get hurt." While Minato walks off into the rain, Natsuki turns to the Concord gang, plucking a cucumber sandwich and finishing it in two generous snaps of bites, sampling more with tongue than chewing with teeth - it's a sandwich! "I'll make sure our friend here finishes his mission. Everyone should have fun, since even if this place is demolished, we're here for our-" She puts on a faux-pouty tone to address the blue-coated man's back. "-star crossed loverboy's big team-up." The office itself is a five story structure, with a garage on the first level that contains two luxury sedans - black and boxy, as is the style of the period - with luxury interiors with a shutter gate down to block their exit. To the side is a glass-faced door with a walk up stair and a suite elevator set in white tile with a facing wall of lockers just at the entry before the turn. Outside the unassuming entryway, leaning with their back taking up the door-recess and half again the door, is a wide-bodied sort who looks like an off-season sumo wrestler. Barely fitting into a dark blue jacket over a damp seafoam teal collared shirt, the crown-balding sort unbothered by the rain despite their head glistening-wet in the falling water, he stares at the gathering up the stairs with a beady-eyed suspicion, having heard voices for a while without being keen enough sensed to know what was going on. Kukuru, Sougo, and Woz's approach is spotted, though, and the big crown-bald big body blocks her entry with an arm and goes, "Sorry, *mom*, but no entry. Go away, kids." The door guard is stunned looking past the cone-eared Kukuru, the cherubic-smiling Sougo, and Woz when, walking down the steps, Natsuki chases down and drags Minato close for a moment. Close to his ear, as he assesses the door guard, she suggests "You've got this one.", before shoving the untransformed jacket-boy with blue highlight-longbang down the wet street and into the bouncer. "Demon woman!" Protests Minato, flailing his arms from 'surprised on clutch' into combat ready, he kicks off the equally surprised bouncer and draws a silver and blue big buckle Driver from his coat. Chased by the wide arms of the big body grappler at the door, Minato rolls back, presses Driver to waist and takes up a Tai Chi low-pose. "Henshin!" Rainwater coils around Minato and solidifies into plates of blue and black and reflected-on-water silver, two yellow round yellow lens eyes flaring bright in the splash as he tackles right onto the big guy. Natsuki takes her time walking down the last few steps, Kamen Rider Aqua kicking in only to get grabbed and spine-squeezed, before swung about the crowd at the entrance! |
Natsuki Nuki | On the second floor of the office, the entryway where the lowest-level people would be working has been converted into a sitting area for less productive sorts - a few large recliners sit around a low coffee table where a mahjong game has been set up. A row of desks and chairs and an island of desks facing each other rest uncluttered of papers and just as sitting stations for punks wearing more dark blue jackets and light blue shirts. While some lack a jacket, or have different accessories and piercings, ties and the curls of tattoos under jackets, they all share soft chins -- and they're all wearing wraparound sunglasses. Indoors! Rushing on them causes the soft-faced thugs to upend their game (to one's bitter complaint about 'because they were losing') and draw a variety of weapons - katana, knives, brass knuckles, a swung briefcase, and even a metal bat. On the third level of the office, which can be rushed through to or sneakily ascended via the fire escape, there's a different tone to the room. Where office space and basic business anti-chic had dominated the lower level yakuza sit-around space, the third floor seemed much more temple like. Aphotic wallpaper colors and deep red rolls of carpet over thin dark marble floors change the entire vibe instantly, though there's still a few spots that seem like Japan in the mid-2000's, especially right at the mandated fire escape access. It's locked! A locked, mundane window, what will you do? Entering into the temple areas reveals the red carpeted walk to the next floor, flanked by hanging blue curtains, and then wider still in flanking rooms, lounges where voices could be heard arguing over something. Higher still there's one more floor before the roof, with access at the back of floor 3. Moving among the curtain central 'chamber' of the third floor are humanoid shambling shapes with empty-holed faces. Haru, Woz, and Sougo would know these as Kuva Yummy, though their bandages carry a wet blue tone, and the 'wet kelp mummy zombies' understanding a huntress would gain immediately is functional for a glance. They lack eyes and navigate on vibe - that they 'navigate' at all is uncertain, as before they're aggressed on, they don't much do anything but wander spookily among the curtains. |
Madeleine Cadrasteia | Madeleine leaps up to the fire escape from the ground floor, then lowers the ladder for Torrie and Sakura to climb up after. The trio slink their way past the floor full of gangsters and are only briefly stymied by the locked third-floor window before Madeleine elects to simply break the pane with a gloved fist, reach through to unlock the window, and opens it for her and the minotaur to climb through. Aware that she's caused a commotion and probably set off a silent alarm somewhere, the huntress splits off from her bodyguard and the Agent, leaving the other two to pose as the only intruders on the third floor. A number of armed flunkies emerge from the lounges flanking the hall and approach with menacing intent, brandishing their weapons to threaten but not yet shooting or swinging to kill. That's just the mistake Madeleine needed them to make. They're grouped up halfway down the hall from Torrie when the huntress pounces from behind a curtain, bringing the heavy cloth down to blind and tangle several of the guards. Gunshots ring out in a panicked staccato, but Madeleine and Torrie alike can readily withstand stray bullets, and the minotaur steps forward to cover Sakura with her larger body profile. The fallen curtain baffles the buried goons' attempts to swing heavy weapons, and Madeleine lays into them with fists and feet. It's not time for her spear to see action, not just yet. She must be saving Drogrung for the big dramatic finale, so Sakura gets a good story out of it. |
Kukuru | "Romance...? Ohhh, is that what this is about?" Kukuru wonders aloud, rather surprised by Sakura's conclusion and sighing wistfully a moment later. "I guess there's a lot to this we don't know about, then... And if Minato's gotta go back to the future, that meeeeans..." She looks from Sakura to Minato to Natsuki, then snaps her fingers and looks over at Woz and Sougo. "Maybe... It's not so star crossed after all. We've got time experts right here that might have a solution~" She suggests with a reassuring tone even as she unknowingly tries roping the king and retainer into whatever this all is. As Minato walks off, Kukuru reaches up to pat Natsuki's shoulder softly. "Don't worry, dear. We're aaall rooting for you two." Shinmyoumaru, as always, is more than welcome to snag as much of that food as she likes. Kukuru might even try forcing an extra box on her later, worried as she often ends to be about the smaller sorts such as Shinmyoumaru herself. "Lady... Nue? Oooh, is Natsukai from a big family, toooo?" Kukuru visibly struggles a bit to get Natsuki's name sorted out in her head while she waits at the door, murmuring 'Nuetsakai' to herself as her thought processes give her even more ways to mangle it terribly. As she does, Sougo translates for Woz, and the complexities of saving face... Don't draw a confused reaction from Kukuru for once. "Oh, I think I get it, mhm. They wanna look cool for everyone around here, but they're worried they won't if they let N... Nuetsuekai have the things for free. It'd be easier if they just joined us, then~" She suggests, that overwhelming optimism kicking in again even after the possibility of fighting is raised. "If they don't understand, then we'll just have to teach them right so they do." Her optimism remains even as the big man blocks the way, looking up at him with an easygoing smile at first. "Hello theeere... We-" "*mom*" "... Oh. Oh, dear. It's okay, I understand." Kukuru's voice takes on a far quieter tone than she's used all day, but with that hint of something high-pitched building in the back of her throat. She's trying to contain her excitement at someone finally calling her that, apparently missing the context and his tone entirely in favor of that delusion that the people here can, in fact, be reasoned with. She's so caught up in her own thoughts, even, that she loses track of Natsuki shoving Minato right into the door guard, and then the door guard swinging Minato at her. Getting hit by a whole ass Kamen Rider, naturally, sends her sprawling back a few feet, sliding backwards in a brief daze before realizing what's going on. Kukuru sits up, smacks her cheeks, then turns to Sakura. "Sakura, dear? We need to make this look good! Then-" She gestures at the door guard "-he can keep his reputation even after we save him from those bad people making him do all this!" With fire in her eyes, Kukuru springs to her feet, nearly falls frontwards, then jogs straight at the door guard. "We won't go easy on you, so get readyyy!" She calls out her attack and winks at the guard when she thinks the camcorder isn't facing her, then leaps towards him while yanking her oversized claws out of her pockets in one quick movement. She pulls her arms back over her head, then swings them both down with that monstrous strength of hers right at his shoulders like she's trying to claw them right off! |
Hamada Haru | Haru solves the problem of entry by simply deleting the lock off of the roof door with his transteam gun, wandering right on in to a floor full of yummies. He is, in fact, familiar with this particular variety of pseudo-kaijin; their connection with one of mankind's earliest civilizations -- predecessors of Ancient Mesopotamia -- made them a curiosity of particular note to him. Naturally, everything to do with them was the consequence of somebody being a jackass for basically no reason. Not coins, then. Core medals. he observes. If they're here... might be getting used to make cell medals, too. He toggles the gunblade mode of his transteam gun, but doesn't -- for the moment -- bother transforming. Hamada Haru doesn't need to be Dynamic Era, Kamen Rider, or even a Riotrooper to fight enemies like these. Instead, he harasses several of them in sequence with a few quick jabs of his gunblade, retreating a moment later once he's got their attention and leading them back towards the stairwell once he has the attention of about five. It takes about that many to press him, even untransformed-- a push by the whole bunch to stagger him before he gets through the doorway causes him to pause and shove hard with a wide sweep of the gunblade to re-gain distance before taking the choke point and firing the gunblade, sending a buzzing swarm of metal locusts to harass and deconstruct the yummies. Are the core medals embodied...? The thought alone is bothersome. That WOULD require transformation. Haru frowns as he considers it-- more importantly, a Greeed is no joke in general. |
Timespace Riders | Sorry, *mom*, but no entry. Go away, kids. "Mm... yeah, about what I expected," says Sougo, not surprised but disappointed all the same. He's already reaching for his Driver, and Woz for his, when Minato is flung into the fray against his will. Amazing! Time! Future! KAMEN RIDER WOZ? WOZ?! Rider Time! KAMEN RIDEEER.. (RIDER..!) ZI-O--ZI-O!! II! A cacophony of intermixed Rider belt jingles plays--Woz's high-paced techno beat clashing with Zi-O's operatic duet. The visual appearance of their transformations are no less eclectic; Zi-O's symettrical twinned wristwatch-themed armor is forged in pink by two disembodied silver clock faces, while Woz's sleek, futuristic silver bodysuit and its black-green lightweight plates are printed onto his body by green lasers conjured by a giant hardlight smartwatch behind him. The two pairs of watch hands on either side of Zi-O's pink katakana lenses (spelling 'RIDER') spin up in rapid fast-forward, and he's out of the way of the weaponized Kamen Rider Aqua *just* timely enough to be suspicious to an onlooker, sidestepping less with grace or expertise and moreso like he had the answers to the test in advance. His right leg bolts outward in a sweep aimed with perfect timing for the moment when the doorman's swing with Aqua is at its apex, intending to bowl him over (and hopefully keep poor Aqua from being thrown too far!) Woz, on the other hand, must do his cheating in advance, and attempts a sidestep opposite Zi-O only to be clipped by the flailing Aqua and sent stumbling backwards. Nevertheless, he attempts to capitalize on his king's attack, taking a step forward and making a jumping back kick aimed at the opposite shoulder. "Woz, get inside! We've got this guy." "At once, sire." Using the augmented physicality his armor provides, he leaps over the guard, low-profiling with inches to spare through the opening, hurrying inside... ONE SCENE TRANSITION LATER - SECOND FLOOR ...just in time to disrupt a mahjong game. Woz's smartwatch-themed helmet dips upwards in amusement as weapons are drawn. Extending one arm to the side, he summons his own-- JIKAN DESPEAR! A green-bladed spear, with a touchscreen just below the head, flies in from offscreen through a cloud of dissipating green laser artifacts, into the Rider's waiting hand. He twirls it overhead then side-to-side, before settling into a wide stance with one hand near the butt of the haft and the other just below the touchscreen, a wordless challenge. |
Shinmyoumaru Sukuna | "Well, I'm sure we can get it," Shinmyoumaru says, unconcerned. Though she is momentarily curious what she could do with the coin. Would it fit in her belt? Maybe if she finds one she'll check, but surreptiously. Shinmyoumaru would object to being called a 'smaller sort' but would still take the box. The duality of man (or woman, or inchling). She's still busy reflecting in the pride of being identified and treated as someone important and is now inclined to be as helpful as possible, though possibly in the name of showing off. So when the group splits up, Shinmyoumaru picks a path all her own; she simply flies her bowl up until she gets to the second floor. Don't worry, she's not bailing! There is a window here, too. Shinmyoumaru looks at it for about two seconds, backs her bowl up several feet, then crouches down, pulling her lid-hat down until it functions once again as a lid. Two seconds after that: *CRASH*! Shinmyoumaru's bowl flies through the window, shattering it as she pops out of the bowl again. She has discarded the bamboo pole she was using before but now has the needle in her hand, holding it somewhere between a very long sword and a spear; one hand in the eye, like a sword grip, and another just above it, like a spear's haft. And then come the first words out of Shinmyoumaru's mouth: "Oh, who's winning?" Only then does she seem to remember herself as the thugs draw weapons. Shinmyoumaru dives into the crowd and immediately starts to render it a confusing mess; she stabs out with her needle at some thugs, but other yakuza she hooks with something like a fishing line and hook made of energy and pulls into another, or stitches to the wall or floor with shining silver-blue stitches that refuse to fray. Is she doing a lot of damage to them? Well, probably not. Nobody's getting stabbed through the heart or, as she regularly threatens, the eye, though she did poke a few arms and feet. But she is certainly trying to cause absolute mass chaos and disable them with a combination of pulling them into each other, swerving out of the way at the last moment, and very aggressive sewing. |
Angela | Angela is concerned that this might not be a star crossed lovers situation after all since Sakura seems to have mostly made that up based on what Natsuki said as a joke. But Minato has yet to disagree with the statement so now she isn't so sure. She believes she has heard about the kind of love where someone merely acts like they aren't interested. It isn't really her business, of course, if Minato loves a tiger lady. Or doesn't love a tiger lady. Or anyone else, really, but she can't help but be curious, having had her own struggles with what qualified as 'love' for her and what she even wanted out of it, if she wanted anything at all. Sakura follows after Madeleine and murmurs along. "The Huntress moves past the second floor and up to the third. Using her mastery of B&E, she--" Madeleine just punches through the window. "--Punches through a window because glass cannot stop her." Sakura stalls just for a minute before following after her, grinning widely as she engages in ambushing. "Merciless and--oh, wow... minotaur." Sakura is quiet for a moment as they actually get a big camera shot of Torrie's back and it's kind of throwing Sakura for a loop there for a moment. Sakura relies on Torrie's help to avoid the worst of any retaliatory violence. "Sakura, you are supposed to lend a hand." Angela says. "No I don't. I cannot! I mean, the Director...injecting himself into the film??" Sakura asks. "No, I mustn't...!" "...Do it or you're fired. Into our incinerator." Angela says. "Oh very well!" Sakura says, aiming to spear a mummy with a spear. "We'll make the camera a character in of itself...!" But he still seems to be relying on Torrie cover since he can only defend himself from so many mummies/goons at once. He can't clash against everyone! Even with two speed die. He has just sort of assumed the zombies would be a problem if left be. And worse, not the most exciting cinema. "No matter how many forces thrown at her, she perseveres along with her mighty companion." |
Natsuki Nuki | "Lady Nue is my title. Please call me that, or Natsuki. I don't like my family name because I hate my father, if you *must* know." Natsuki corrects casually as Aqua gets smashed around, wielded against Kukuru with a full-body swing. After the cacophony of belt jingles and crashing letters into armor, the Kamen Riders go on the counterattack. Woz's diving kick to shoulder and Zi-O II's perfectly timed interception kick levers against the swinging throw, freeing Aqua out of the grip in a controlled sprawl. Landing in a messy crouch and hopping back in a propelling splash of liquid to correct away from a powerful followup crush-step from the sumo bouncer when Sougo's hold is forced through and smashed upon, the space is vacant of an ally so Sougo can react. The big body's weight crashes through, either damaging or throwing back Zi-O on bulk, but the leaping forward Woz hikes over the shoulders of the distracted sumo. "St-!" Shouts the big bouncer, and gets only that syllable out before calling a random woman 'mom' comes to roost - with power overhead. This more than staggers the bouncer, bowing down the giant in faux apology and sloshing-out clearing of the divot bowl in the big guy's head. Letting out a woozy groan as the bulk literally leaks from muscles and deflates, the kappa-beaked gaunt turtle bouncer looks up at Kukuru's chest, and then, grunting, forces her forward with a deceptively conserved strength. Still, weaker, the kappa bouncer sways back, barring Aqua's dash up the stairs himself. "Are you going to help?" Asks Aqua to Natsuki who is still hanging back, an exclamation implied in his stress but his voice controlled. His training was clearly soft martial arts by stance, and so searches for an opening while mixing in a few snaking strikes and rolling kicks that cause much more effect to the dehydrated kappa. "Of course!" Natsuki claims, springing to tackle down the sumo bouncer for a moment and roll with them for half a rotation before flinging them out into a heavily denting throw to the first floor garage gate. "I was merely looking for his weakness!" And it's true! Now, it might be easy to finish off the threat with the bowl repeatedly emptied from heavy attacks! Through the window into the second floor, a bowl bricks through the frame and crashes into the gang to game-flinging results. A bristle of weapons and wrap sunglasses stand stance there against the bowl-bound woman. "I was winning!" A stout one from the back complains, snapping taut a length of heavy chain. "And *you* ruined it, little girl!" "It's a short woman!" Reports one in front. "Nevertheless." A third hisses, swayingly flourishing a knife like exactly the freak you're picturing. Needlefighting against a knife and beating them on range before hooking one who studied the blade backwards, it's hard for all of the goons to get in on Shinmyoumaru as she fights them, and she can gather up several with her needlework-webbing before Woz charges up into the second floor. With his help, and swiftly Aqua's, the counterattack rallying on the second floor becomes a swift stomp. One stocky sort hooked into a desk has his sunglasses shake, revealing the sinister truth: bulgy-limpid fish eyes, where real human eyes should be! They might all be yokai or at least animal spirits doing a little human crime. Might be. On the third floor, things are a lot more spooky. The stealth segment is pristine, and when the alarm is raised on the second floor, the racing-out fish-eyed punks and fishmarket toughs are caught in a ambush most effective. Bullets whiz through and bury holes in far walls and blades slice apart the hanging curtains, but such delicious sightline blockers make Madeleine's advance video-perfect. |
Natsuki Nuki | The fish-eyes are the perfect extras for the huntress' combat video showing off, but the Yummy continue to step in from 'off stage', from around curtains, piling in. Several grasp or swing or get in on Madeleine as she stunts on the more dangerous armed goons until they're intercepted by the Funky Red Spear of Sakura the director (of filming)! There's just something about a red spear that wards away the yummy, long enough for Haru to unleash his deleting-wash clouds that deconstruct the lesser Yummies like getting select-despawned and silently death rattling in kneeling poses of agony as their hole-of-a-face contorts and disappears and they implode into broken coins that themselves fade into dust. Down, at the end of the hallway of curtains, stalks heavy bootheels. Mixed higher and more noticeable by some ineffable force, each 'gerchuk, gerchuck' pair of steps has deep gravitas. Framed in abyssal wallpaper and drape colors and at the end of a red carpet, two waterbasins at the end of the room light up in rising glowing bubbles to cast dramatic appearance light on the arrival of the 'boss'. Shouldered like a shark the long way, and headed with a swept-'horn' helmet of sleek organic look, the figure's red hip-pieces and boots seeming spinal and fin-ridged in not very well considered color matching. At the center of a big triangular chestpiece featured three images - a manta ray, a shark or whale, and some sort of angry mustached face - wielding a large spear, itself with a strong aquatic motif. Black-lengthed and red headed with a red swordfish sway tip, 'Poseidon' or at least the boss of this gym surveys Madeleine, being filmed, and points its spear down the hall at her. "Kamen Rider. Prepare to--" There's a stop-pause, and then, seeing nobody *actually transformed* on the third floor, has an awkward pause before just going into battle dialogue. "Face the power of all the oceans!" Charging a bit heavy-suitedly towards Maddie, Poseidon's worst color matched day still has an incredible strength backing its spear, leaving a trail of water in its wake that impacts just after connection to double up all hits, and swinging out to lash whips of water at Haru and Sakura. "Kamen Rider or not!" It adds, as if it might be a little offended if it's not. But only a little. Destined duels, and all. Across the other floors, crawling out from under desks on the second floor and bursting out of the lockers near the entrance, more Yummy emerge to be general threats, while the master duels on the top floor! |
Madeleine Cadrasteia | Poseidon's first blow catches Madeleine in the middle of delivering a nasty kick to one of his lackeys, and sends her reeling back, away from the fracas enough for her to get a good look at the armored crime boss. She snorts in disdain. "You come at me with 'the power of all the oceans', and you do this by *hitting me with a fish*?" The water-trail left a nasty mark across her face, and she's taking this new opposition as a sign that it's time to draw her spear, but she's at least going to *pretend* to be unimpressed. "You can't even pick one animal to commit to!" She lunges forward, sweeping downward with her spear. She's not expecting her first moves to connect; they're mostly to keep this guy busy while Torrie cleans up the goons by knocking a few heads together and Sakura and Haru face off against the kelp mummies. After a few clashes of indeterminate results, Madeleine's starting to catch on to this guy's fighting style, and the quirks of his weaponry. Instead of going for a direct strike at Poseidon himself, she turns her focus to the spear. If she can hook the haft of her own weapon under one of those fins, a sudden jerk backward could pull the fish-spear out of his hands... |
Angela | "Yes...yes...! HASTA LA VISTA BABY!" SAkura shouts while gathering footage. "Try doing a spinkick! Fuck yeah! Hot stuff! I wait--shit!" Electing to protect the video camera over his own body, the whip catches him twice with a whip double attack and he goes flying back, cradling the camcorder close to his body. "The power of the oceans... It's my weakness, Huntress...! Angela--!" He pauses, realizing he definitely can't ask Angela to hold onto the camcorder for him. "Dang!! Fuck! Damn!" Rearing back with his spear he says, "Guess it's time for some SPEAR FISHING!" And he throws the spear right at Poseidon before hefting the camera back up to try and get back to recording Madeleine. "Thanks for not ackwowledging me, Madeleine! You're doing GREAT! Just keep at it, goddamn what a cool finishing line. 'And you do this by hitting me with a *fish*'--we can't let the trailers spoil that one!" |
Kukuru | "Natsuki, then! Oooor.. Lady Nue, when we should be fancy." Kukuru confirms with a thoughtful noise as she rewrites several things in her head, the gears visibly turning so she can make sure she actually remembers all two of those things. What really gets her is the third thing, though, as the idea of hating someone's own father... "I'm sorry, dear. If you ever want someone to talk to or to relax with... I'm here for you, okay?" She offers with a gentle tone that's completely mismatched with the battle at hand, letting her mind wander right up until she sees the door guard's arms deflate. "And it doesn't have to be about any of that stuff if you don't want to, but... Um." There's too much to process here. He's got liquid on top of his head, he's staring at her chest, he leaked something all over the floor, and his arms are smaller for some unexplained reason she can't figure out. All of that is distracting enough that, on top of Kukuru herself not having the fastest reflexes nor the heaviest of feet to hold her ground, means that even the kappa's relatively weakened shove works surprisingly well. She yelps lightly as he forces her onto the back foot, stumbling and tripping over herself a few times before catching herself against a conveniently placed railing. "He's... Oh dear. Oh, this is..." Kukuru's earlier joy at the kappa calling her 'mom' is steadily replaced with a more vacant expression, only managing a polite smile as she pulls herself together mentally and physically. She inhales deeply several times to get her head back on while Natsuki chucks the guard at the gate, and she sees an opportunity to take him out of the battle. This time, instead of messing around with dramatic running that might look good for Sakura's camera (from the second floor, no less), Kukuru teleports over to the guard's side instead and dips down quickly to grab him by the wrist and the ankle on one side. Whereas she had been practically overjoyed by what he said earlier, her overly polite smile almost seems to radiate malice as she lifts him off the ground. "Please never do that again." She states with a similarly formal-yet-threatening tone and starts spinning in place. She builds speed, partially to try and keep the kappa off balance, partially to guide him into whatever attacks Zi-O, Aqua, and Natsuki might have ready for him, and... Also, because she's going to twist and release at the last second to guide him right into/through a wall. |
Hamada Haru | The appearance of Poseidon is ... interesting... to Hamada Haru. To begin with, the appearance is more Kamen Rider-like than he expected. The medals aren't contained, either, but displayed on the front of the belt. He can't tell if it's a sort of Kamen Rider, or a Greeed that actually happens to have that sort of stylization, or something in-between. He brings his gunblade up into a defensive posture with the appearance, unbothered by the technical lack of a Kamen Rider. People who walk in dramatically with pronounced boot-clicks and start with 'Kamen Rider. Prepare--' are basically never good news up front. He pushes in to the flow of the whip, raising his gunblade into it to pull it off-course-- it leaves a gash above his eyebrow that starts bleeding copiously, prompting him to shut his right eye as he adjusts his posture and brings a belt into existence at his waist with a shimmer, socketing his ID core-like badge as he does so. "Hadn't planned on being Kamen Rider today, but fine. Just who and what are you, exactly?" What he means by that is that the number and type of core medals doesn't make sense for a Greeed, and 'wearing them' instead of absorbing them isn't what he expects, either. --ADY The belt announces jankily, electronic distortion making it very clear that this isn't a functional device. Haru disengages the blade from his transteam gun and sockets it into the side of the belt, which lights up with a light brown tint. A golden-yellow spark runs through to the ID core, which flashes on and off erratically. LOCUST! L-L-L-LOCUST! Steam spills out of the driver in fits and starts accompanied by crackling streamers of electricity, a matte black suit snapping into place and becoming layered with armor the distinctive brown-yellow coloration of a locust. Set into the chest armor is a broad gem that resembles that of a locust's spread wings, and the helmet bears distinctive black eye lenses. There are cracks, here and there, in the armor-- the driver isn't fully functional, so neither is the transformation. This presently nameless Kamen Rider changes position, moving around to the back of Madeleine and then raising his transteam gun to fire a hail of shots straight through her back-- thankfully without actually passing through her, they're intangible up until just before the moment of impact. Some of them are actually intangible through Poseidon, as well; a selection of them are intended for the new mass of yummies that entered the fray. Simultaneously, a second nameless Kamen Rider emerges from the mist of the transteam gun and moves over to Sakura. He jabs a finger in Sakura's direction, "Hey. Do you have permission for this? Are you one of those wikelite freaks? We have enough privacy problems as-is, you know." |
Shinmyoumaru Sukuna | Shinmyoumaru's eyes gleam dangerously as she rises up to her full height. "Who are you calling a little girl?" At least the other one can tell the difference! Nonetheless, she focuses at least a little bit on the chain-wielding 'winner' to make sure that, when she sticks him tothe wall, she does so upside down so it's not comfortable. She gets a smack across the bowl for overextending that way which sends her rolling, but she catches herself pretty quick. She gives Woz, and when he shows up Aqua, a big grin. "See? They're not tough. We can take whatever we want from in here, so it shouldn't be very hard to find the coins..." Shinmyoumaru lowers her bowl until it's nearly on the ground, moving toward the downed, now sunglasses-less minion - And she draws in a breath through her teeth. "They're fish!" Shinmyoumaru corrects herself a moment later with: "Fish-people! I know an actual fish and she's pretty nice actually!" She uses the eye end of her needle to hook the sunglasses further away from him so he can't put them back on. But that means she knows what she must do. Hearing the heavy footfalls of boots on the floor above only reinforces her determination. Shinmyoumaru ducks down in her bowl and comes up with a belt, which she puts on over her kimono. "Hen-shin!" she yells, going into the pose simultaneously as she triggers it, complete with the token in the Desire Driver catching the light. The blue token, with a stylized depiction of a koi's face and eyes, all except the lower lip, outlined in orange. "Kamen Rider Ochiba!" Okay. So this is definitely not the Jyamato she signed up to fight. But it seems appropriate, and so Shinmyoumaru vaults out of her bowl as the outfit slams into her, at almost the exact moment when more Kuva Yummy choose to crawl out from under the desks and tables. Literally vaults; she stabs her needle into the ground and pole-vaults her way at one of them, tucking up into a ball so she hits them like a cannonball, bouncing around erratically rather than making any more complicated attacks. Eventually, it ends with her dizzy, having ricocheted enough that she's not quite sure where anything else is, possibly including herself. You can practically see her eyes swirling. But by then, hopefully there are fewer kelp mummies around! |
Timespace Riders | Zi-O's helmet flicks downwards in surprise when the bouncer's head-water spills. "Of course... good thinking, Natsuki! Michal, let's go for a big attack!" JIKAN GIRADE! A pair of swords, one long, one short, like the hands of a watch, fly into the Demon King's hands. The knocked-over Zi-O gets back up with a rolling strike, sending a crescent of fluctuating polychromatic energy racing for the bouncer. Twirling with the momentum of the strike, he sends another as he rises, combining both swords into one single greatsword, its handle resembling the band of a wristwatch, with a strange crossguard that's just a miniaturized version of the Demon King's faceplate. Zi-O makes a hip-to-shoulder cut, sending a cluster of disembodied silver clock faces racing towards the kappa to collide with explosive force on the heels of the energy blast! % UPSTAIRS... Woz, with Shinmyoumaru and then Aqua and Zi-O, following the clean-up of the bouncer, swiftly gets to work on the remaining henchmen, fighting a gradual path to the next route up. The haft of the Jikan Despear thwacks hard into weapon hands and the backs of necks, corraling marauding goons into Shinmyoumaru's needle. "Enough of this," says Woz, retrieving a Miridewatch--the knightly Cobalt armor. Valiant! Victorious! Futurering Cobalt! COBALT! His usual smartwatch-themed armor here takes a knightly appearance; the cuirass forming the frame of the 'watch' is contoured and sectioned like platemail, his 'app icon' pauldrons housed protectively in swept metal reminiscent of a royal guard. The 'wristband' of the watch is a tabard in blue and gold, while the 'hands' forming his antennae have become wings much like Chevalier Cobalt's headdress. His faceplate sports blue katakana, reading 'COBALT.' One Woz was onerous enough on his own--now there's a whole room of fake ones, one to each remaining henchman. The real one switches places with a fake fighting the last standing henchman, and as the others fall, the fakes disappear--a high roundhouse and followup glaive (the spear transformed too!) jab finishing the job. The fakes all disappear, and Woz crosses into the third floor--unfortunately for Poseidon's evident desire for theatrics, a bit too late to have heard the challenge. |
Natsuki Nuki | Despite the slightly goofy look, Haru's apprehension at power level isn't for nothing: Poseidon, as Haru surmises, is one of the Greeed (three E's). A being of unrestrained desire and runaway energy, they hunger to consume and find the missing piece of themselves dominates their personality. Haru is also right to compare this one more to a 'suit guy' type of enemy bearing three medallions than an 'evil final boss'. This is all minutae to the particular kind of armor-plated jerk Madeleine duels with, as she particularly challenges Poseido's claim to the might of the seas. "You dare?!" The cliche lines continue to spill, Poseidon's good thrust converting into a swung fist that Madeleine's fade avoids. They grapple, power to finesse for several seconds, and despite the bravado on display, she definitely draws out the overcompensation from the watery villain. "You do not ask the heroes of your people if their strikes come with more or less of the energy of their might! I am Poseidon - bearer of the three coins, and--" And loser of the Deepest Harpoon, a 2 meter long crimson halberd and fish-themed spear. It comes away sticky and wet but, when the big armored water-wielder tries to lever it back and away with body weight and give Maddie a big threatening chomp with the yawning-wide shark shoulder pauldron to bite down-- -- he's shot by an absolute barrage of fire from just off of Sakura's camera, hammering him back like horizontal hail pelting and blasting Poseidon back with a shower of sparks. "Nnngh! Thefting whelps! The bounty of the seas is not yours to take!" Complains the disarmed Poseidon, thrusting a clawed hand in a dangerous straight that's backed by a hydro cannon of water crashing the cheering Sakura and Madeleine back in a camera-viewpoint rattling bid for space! In the movie cut there's a poignant speech about environmentalism here to be made - but this is the eight elites gangbeat run of the crossover movie that takes only two. Madeleine seems less effected, thanks to the spear's glow, but Poseidon seems intent on targeting the camera and not Sakura - it'll take more than that to get good clean footage from the early 2000's! This agent will have to work for it hard! Not that they're not. But, capturing the finisher will be hard when they're constantly harassed! Meanwhile, below... Kukuru takes up the stunned and deflated Kappa brawler in a grab that, for a moment, has another of those strange looks, as Kukuru blushingly processes something, and the lesser yokai bouncer frowns and looks a little sick as rainwater pours into the emptied bowl on their head. Please Never Do That Again Spun about and wide with all the water sloshing out of their face, the Kappa is rotated twice before being flung through the already-damaged shutter-wall blocking the garage, crushed in a heap and groaning in regret for ever speaking words or engaging with the human world or having a mother. On the second story, Shinmyoumaru bullies the fish-folk that have turned to a life of sidequest crime, flicking off sunglasses and leaving goons tied up upside down. If anything, there's a vague softness attacking Shinmyoumaru (and the Riders, as they ascend the staircase after her), from the initial impression as someone 'soft' - swiftly reversed once the teacup assbeatings start getting handed out. When she transforms, there's even a moment of shock and surprise as the remaining few un-lashed down gangsterfish scrabble back. "S-she's Kamen Rider too?!" Artful sweeps and big spring dizzying tornado polespins (there's a lot of swinging sweeps!) are highly effective at taking down the shambling Yummy, some getting hooked and flung off staff motion alone. Woz's mass generation of clones, timely used and aimed at the room full of lesser enemies after Ochiba had handled the foes to spare, send powered up attacks into the wall-thrown enemies and with Shinmyoumaru ends the uprising of cheap goons stylishly. |
Natsuki Nuki | Almost taking up the rear in a baffled and growingly impressed hustle with Zi-O behind the finishers, Aqua's only got one Yummy to do a quick combo on as he enters before throwing aside the fading body and looking at the room for a second. "Wow..." Aqua finds himself asiding, to Zi-O. "There's quite a few of you, isn't there? ... Kamen Riders in the Concord." Making a run towards the next floor, he's filled with new determination. "It really is easier, with allies." Collapsing on the third floor, the whole gang of Riders from floor 2 start to arrive much to the utter confusion of Poseidon. "Stop, Poseidon! Nobody needs a Kamen Rider like you! The coins -- our power isn't for hurting people!" Aqua's entreatment, at the top of the stairs, comes just after Poseidon's shot repeatedly, the torrid love affair between a Hero of Justice and their dark power-'source' or -'partner' in sudden telenovela soap opera. "It's too late, coward! You gave up on me! You gave up on Kamen Rider! So you don't get to talk about right! Only power lets you decide!" Struggling, Poseidon lifts up his arms in the middle of the damaged-curtain'ed room, and there's only a rumble. Plenty of time to attack! Plenty of time to-- It falls as a sudden storm, heralded by a downpour torrent of water. Clever reactions are possible, as a tidal spout summoned from the Osaka Bay eels up in the light nighttime rain and crashes down, but-- Madeleine taked shit about Poseidon's water control. And now everyone has to deal with the power of the ocean! Except, of course, the woman with the spear. Footage should be good! |
Madeleine Cadrasteia | Madeleine catches the loosed spear in her off hand, and grimaces. "Eugh. You ever clean this thing? Anyway." She chokes down her one-handed grip on each spear and begins to fight with both weapons, switching from up-close brawling to a more physically removed stance to take advantage of her newly secured superior reach. This does give Poseidon space enough to fire his hydro-cannon attack, however, and the huntress is shoved back and struggles to keep her footing. Poseidon gathers power for his ultimate attack, and Madeleine steadies herself. When the great wave arrives, she swings the Deepest Harpoon, slicing the mass of water into two. It crashes down around her, the cleft in the wave sparing the huntress the worst of the attack. Torrie isn't so lucky, and gets washed a good way down the hall despite her greater mass. Then Madeleine pounces, leaping out of the water toward Poseidon in the moment between the wave landing and Poseidon resuming the fight. She drives her spear straight for the villain's belt, hoping to shatter the coins out of their housing... "This ends here!" |
Hamada Haru | There are two iterations of the nameless Kamen Rider here; one of them is closer to Poseidon, albeit still with a body between him and the Greeed. The other is hassling Sakura about filming everybody like this, because he's annoyed with it. It is the one that isn't engaged the ends up being hit, since he's in the general vicinity of the camera work that's being targeted-- the 'primary' Hamada Haru phases through the water blast and emerges on the other side around the same time as the other staggers back in a shower of pronounced sparks that seems lightly but not wholly mirrored on the original. ... And the only thing that he can think is that one of those coins is this person's 'self', or close enough. Is it teal, or blue? Doesn't matter. A glance around the room towards the dusted remains of the yummies gives him an idea-- but not one he's sure will bear fruit. He re-affixes his transteam gun to his belt and pulls the trigger once, a wreath of mist enveloping his left hand. "Deletion Protocol: Cell Medal." A second trigger pull sees the mist envelop him fully-- and a third causes a great pair of diaphanous wings to emerge from the fog. The nameless Kamen Rider surges forward in a burst of speed, skimming low to the floor in what could be a tackle aimed at the legs-- but no. He makes himself almost entirely intangible, limiting his solidity to a patch of his hand around as large as one of the coins. The deconstructive field collides first at waist level-- he's hoping that even this guy is using cell medals for his solidity on some level. Having yummies suggests he uses them to begin with. In the meanwhile, he's grabbing for the blue core medal-- or more accurately, trying to slam it through the body and out the other side in a rather mean thieving dash attack. The other iteration of the nameless Kamen Rider rises from having been knocked over by Poseidon's attack, looking towards Aqua. //our power isn't for hurting people!// //You gave up on me!// "... Did you MAKE a Greeed?" The second nameless Kamen Rider asks Kamen Rider Aqua, his face concealed by his mask, but there's no denying that his expression beneath it is at-best disapproving, at-worst accusatory of engaging in some fairly sprawling and intense villainy. |
Kukuru | Although the kappa stays down, Kukuru doesn't look particularly happy or accomplished. Instead, she looks on at the yokai with a mixed expression of both sympathy and irritation, then starts moving towards the stairs that they were blocking. Before she does actually make her way up, though, she closes her eyes and lets out the sort of quiet sigh that usually comes from someone knowing there's unfinished business that they really don't want to do. A cloud opens up in front of Kukuru, and it deposits her beside the fallen kappa. She glances at the ground around them first, then squats nearby and holds her hand out. Some healing nanites flow from the hand into the kappa, and her other hand digs a water bottle out of her pocket that she promptly places into theirs. "Dear... There's some things you should really ask people about before you just start, okaaay? I'm really flattered you thought about me that way, but... I think we should just stay friends." She pats the back of the kappa's hand gently, looks up towards the third floor, then notices that there's a lot of water suddenly above her that wasn't there moments ago. There's not a lot of time to react to it, but react she does! Opening up a pair of teleportation clouds, she grabs the kappa and shoves them (along with the bottle) right into the first one, depositing them on a nearby rooftop. She's about to throw herself into the second cloud, too, but it comes just a moment too late, and the deluge of water pound her right into the pavement! It washes her into sea as well, and there's a confusing couple of seconds where Kukuru swings herself around to try and get her head back on before realizing... She's okay in the water, as long as it isn't pummeling her like just now. Luckily, nobody was around to see that (hopefully), and she clears her throat before opening that teleportation cloud in the water to bring herself... Right beside Poseidon, flat-footed and clueless as to who she's actually looking at. Seeing Madeleine already dive-bombing at him with her spear is enough context for Kukuru to work with, however, and she spins on her heel to face the Greeed properly. "You're the one that made this mess, huh...? How rude." Still carrying some of that momentum from turning so quickly (relatively), Kukuru swings an open palm/claw in from the side to ram him into Madeleine's spear and Haru's thieving charge, then swings the other claw upwards in a slapping-uppercut to get him some air time. |
Angela | Sakura yelps as a water cannon hits him directly in the chest, causing him to go flying and smash against the wall, protecting the camera with his own bosy. "My footage... You will... have to do better than thar...!" "Not that you recording your uniform is going to help--" Angela pipes in which gets Sakura to shriek, fetch his spear, and holster it across his back. He rushes to one of those red curtains and works on climbing up one, hanging off off the top of them with one hand while trying to get good footage of Madeleine fighting. "She said the line!" He exults. "Such a classic line, and unprompted...! I...uh." The curtain he is grasping starts to tear apart from his weight and it all comes crashing down towards Poseidon. "AHHH the final moment with all the best moves...! Catch all you can, Sakuraaaaaa!" |
Timespace Riders | There's quite a few of you, isn't there? ... Kamen Riders in the Concord. "Here's to one more," Zi-O softly encourages, giving a thumbs-up. Only power lets you decide!! "Well-said, Poseidon," purrs the knightly-smartwatch-themed retainer as he arrives on the third floor, flanked by a squad of illusory fakes. They fan out, some leaping across the room, others planting polearms in solid ground, others still attempting to vault over downed and disappearing Yummies, all in an effort to ride out that wave, and all of them serving as potential options for the retainer's egress should one manage a favorable position. None do--the nature of such an attack covers too much ground to hope for much better than 'least worst.' One after the other, they dissipate. Some are struck by the spines of a CGI fish skeleton, others slammed into walls, pulled under by riptides or washed through scenery. One remains, tip of his polearm planted stubbornly in the ground, riding out the surge of water as the sea snuffs out the sparks flying from his gleaming ablative armor. One hand clutches the polearm, his body snapped taut like a flag waving in the wind. The other holds a Miridewatch. As the tidal surge subsides, Woz comes to a rest on one knee. "Now," he says, ragged but triumphant, "Witness, in your last moments, the power that shapes and guides even the seas." Temporal energy, bright golden fireflies, swirl around Poseidon and Kamen Rider Aqua, drawn inexorably to the square-faced watch Woz holds in his free hand. As he rises to both feet and yanks the polearm free of the ground, the dull metal futuristic pocketwatch seems to come alive at the touch of those motes. The potential future of Michal Minato and Poseidon intertwines and casts its metal frame in shiny, clear blue. A whirring sound like the buzzing of insects or perhaps the rapid, forward march of gears on threaded teeth picks up in the air as the face of the Miridewatch sports the visage of Woz, aspected with the lamprey-yellow lenses of Aqua in exaggerated katakana, with the 'hands' of the smartwatch his faceplate suggests shifted into the head and tail of a shark. AQUA! Woz taps the touchscreen on his glaive and drags his finger across it rapidly, setting a buildup of crackling green energy dancing down its length. An illusory phalanx appears, with Woz at the center, leading a charge towards Poseidon in the classical two-handed, weapon-forward stance. Just when it seems like this foolishly honest charge is going to get him viciously counterattacked, he winks out in a flash of blue, follwed by his squadron of illusory clones, one-by-one. GLAIVE MISTAKE! Each Wink-out is followed by a curving blue slash across Poseidon's body, culminating by the sudden reappearance of Woz and all his clones for a many-pointed thrust. The energy buildup violently discharges, and when the smoke clears, Woz stands, leaning on his glaive, beside Haru. |
Shinmyoumaru Sukuna | "I'm definitely Kamen Rider Ochiba! And don't you forget it!" Ochiba waves her fist for emphasis, having left the needle stuck in the floor after she used it to launch herself across the room. Shinmyoumaru - or Kamen Rider Ochiba, whichever - takes a few moments to recover after bouncing around the room like some deranged Small-sized pinball and hitting kelp mummies en route. But after that she pops back up like she hadn't exhausted herself at all, because whether or not she's been fighting, Shinmyoumaru has the kind of personal energy that could power the national power grid. "Right!" she says to Aqua. "It's easier together. I'm, ah... kind of a part-time Kamen Rider, I guess...? I entered for a competition, and now I couldn't leave even if I wanted to, which I *don't*." This probably does not help explain anything unless he already knows about the Desire Grand Prix, but explanation has never been Shinmyoumaru's strongest suit. Shinmyoumaru wants to rush ahead but, alas, is hampered by the fact that despite everything her legs are a fair bit shorter than anyone else's. So when they run, she has to run faster just to keep up at all! She snags her bowl en route and hops into it, which helps. It certainly makes climbing stairs easier. Still, she's running a bit behind and so when she finishes climbing the stairs, it's to run (float) directly into a hellacious downpour of water. Shinmyoumaru's hat won't keep her safe and dry from that! It hammers into her, filling the interior of her bowl-boat right up to the brim so that Shinmyoumaru is now sitting in chest-deep water. It also hammers the bowl right back down the stairs, washing it down in a multi-step waterfall. Shinmyoumaru reappears a few moments after *that*. She's standing in her bowl now so the water is only about waist deep. "You jerk! You ruined all the stuff I'm keeping in here! I was sewing with that stuff! You can't get the water stains out of all of it!" Forget the bruises she's got, forget the fact that she just got smashed hard down the stairs that if her bowl wasn't enchanted it would be broken - it's Shinmyoumaru's bowl being filled with water that is making her the angriest. It's also much heavier and floats much lower to the ground. Shinmyoumaru poles herself with the needle, the tip scraping against the ground as she accelerates, the contents of the bowl sloshing ominously. She lets herself coast the last bit, raising her needle and casting a thread of energy like a fishing line... past Poseidon, not at him. "Hey," Shinmyoumaru says, brightly. "Want to see a real water trick? Because I'm better at it than you - !" Shinmyoumaru pulls the line with enough force that she skids backwards several feet, pulling an empty hook up with it. But a moment later, a fish made out of blue-white energy erupts from the wet floor like it was a portal to the deeps. And another, and another, as Poseidon is rapidly caught in a veritable fountain of danmaku fish; the world's best fishing day, except all at once, as if the fish were ready to just jump into Shinmyoumaru's waiting bowl. That isn't a Kamen Rider maneuver, is it...? |
Natsuki Nuki | The window-smashing wave of water from the bay is a power that strikes terribly hard. Worse than the hammering blows of water-backed double hitting that sent each theatrical crash twice over (thus, four times as strong, if you did your math 'correctly'), the raw power of Kamen Rider Poseidon even without his glaive is palpable. Aqua, gripping the top of the staircase railing takes a step forward and shapes the water around him, gathering up the energy and guiding the blowout-flow out the window that Madeleine had opened after a moment of gathering it up into a ball. It's a heavy effort that drains Aqua, but rather than turning the whole structure into a crushed and flattened mess under seawater, much of it is channeled outside where it will be handled by: municipal floodwater solutions! Hooray, civil engineering! Boo, water damage to structures. Water blasts and a terrible tidal wave of danger and still Madeleine talks confidently, though, and with good reason. Only swept to the back of the room and free to charge back in, Madeleine has a straight strike right down the red carpet with the villainous rider's own weapon! But, something happens first. Deletion Protocol: Cell Medal As a shared shudder, the summoned Yummy seize up and contort into reverse-jointed tension, held by some force as their silent screams lift heavensward. It's Poseidon who makes the noise, distorted. A scream, a lessening-sound, pain, coins falling through cracks, clattering away and beyond reach. His body flickers between countless stacked up coins like a suit around a shape, and the black-blue-silver armor of Poseidon. The Kuva Yummy simply flicker and like game entities removed mid torture, implode on themselves when their internal Cell Medal vanishes. A second nameless Kamen Rider speaks. ... Did you MAKE a Greeed? causes Aqua to recoil. Even suited, this seems like an inconceiveable crime to the man just on body language. "No!" A first nameless Kamen Rider joins Madeleine on the belt-directed centerpoint attacks. A sliding ghost tackle-grabs the red Wolf-Fish Core Medal from the position in the triangularly-set belt, and the staggered Poseidon loses his lower half armor, suddenly much less bulky and aggressive. Stepping back, retreating in lost-power-contest stagger, Poseidon's second Core Medal is pierced through the ruined Cell Medal body, and the Shark Medal is shoved tip-through the back of the belt by impact and rolls out, to be collected or ignored, wet on the ground. This strips another layer off of Poseidon's armor, the Shark upper body/shoulders disappearing and all the power going out of the transformed Rider's arms. Only the Head medal remaining - Whale - leaves a lessened-chested and blank limbed Kamen Rider shape with a vaguely whale-esque head looking at the group, clutching at Driver-belt and the woozily swaying. "Minato, we can still-" Pleads Poseidon, all the bluster gone. Kukuru, snapping into Horror Movie reality behind Poseidon and giving them a powerful combo into an up-high throw makes actual legendary angling all the more devastating. Caught mid-air with the link, Shinmyoumaru's hook-drawn magic gushes up from the soaked red carpet like a portal to an all-blue expanse, flipper-flip and piscene-slip barrage leaving barely a scrap of energy left until with a great clatter, even the very curtains fall on Poseidon's reign (doomed from the start, before such a force). Not one, but several Woz-Aquas leap in in the fluttering fall of wet cloth, an illusory phalanx of glaive-wielding warriors slicing ribbons through the air and leaving the artful flutter of cloth for a final fall. In the end, it barely involves the primary Aqua, standing in the back, spent after guiding the water safely away from total collapse. It was, in the end, all he could do to stand up to Poseidon, and all of your efforts that sealed the day. |
Natsuki Nuki | Staggering forward, Minato reaches his hand to the driver at his waist but doesn't release his transformation. Somber, he walks past Haru, and Madeleine, and Zi-O, and Woz, and stands over the cloth-covered form of Poseidon emitting blue-purple 'someone who is definitely dying right now in Theater Time' sparkles. "If power is everything, then, you don't have any right to complain." Minato mutters, into his mask, looking down at the fading Poseidon. "And if it isn't... then I was right. Wasn't I? That what we needed wasn't..." Aqua can't bring himself to say it all. There's fifty episodes of backstory behind this struggle that can only be explained in the broadest contexts or the most specific ones, here at the very end. He turns to address everyone, again, and a charred hand, black as a basic Yummy and fraying, grips his bright blue leg. "Take the coin... We still can... Be the strongest rider in all the oceans..." A gasp, seizes in-'throat'. Aqua turns and crouches besides the covered Poseidon, kneeling and taking Poseidon's hand in his, transferred from leg to grip. His other, reaching underneath the curtain, moves for the final Core Medal on the belt, and with a firm and final tug, pulls it free. Poseidon fades in an expectant-final gasp, and the hand slackens. The bodyshape remains, changing back into something else, as a kind of dirty coin goo stains the curtain. Aqua turns as he stands, fist closed around Poseidon's Shark head medal, and then lowers it to his side with a sigh, pulling off his driver. With a splash of water, he detransforms finally, spent-looking and damp. His fist remains closed around the medal, but he does admit to everyone: "... I need to finish something, with these medals, but after - maybe working with the Concord a little more might work out. It's, easier." Minato Michal nods, chin bouncing dive goggles. "With a group." Things seemingly finished between Sougo, Woz, and Minato positively, Natsuki is last up the stairs, an annoyed look on her face. "Well you finished up here already, and all that's left is water damage?" She complains, drip-stepping to the top of the third floor and inspecting the aftermath with a deeply unimpressed look. "This place isn't worth hanging around in. Let's go back to that picnic we started!" Natsuki seems excited at least about that, but she's quickly in quiet phonecalls on her flipphone as she makes her way downstairs. Apparently, she just knows construction companies! Who knew? As for the tale of Kamen Rider Aqua... Well, there's always more crossover episodes. |
Kukuru | Exhaling hard as the adrenaline from battle starts wearing off, Kukuru brings a claw up to her shoulder to give it a painful-sounding tug from that last hard swing. As Minato approaches Poseidon, she lets out a relieved sigh while starting to glance around rapidly at the crew of Elites that had gathered for this, her first priority still being to ensure that everyone's still alive after the battle. Before she can call out to anybody with her usual 'get my attention so you don't bleed out', however, she hears what the two are actually saying to each other. Of course she's going to eavesdrop on that. She won't say anything, of course, since she can tell just from how they're saying what they're saying and their posture that there's far, FAR too much going on in their pasts to ask something dumb or interfere. Did Poseidon need to die? Is Poseidon even dead? Could anything be done for the coin-goo being? None of those are questions she's ready to answer nor really think about further. For now, Minato needs time to heal from that ordeal physically and emotionally, and Kukuru approaches him with a light (claw-free) hand on the shoulder to give the solo Rider a little shake. "Of course, dear. We'll be around whenever you wanna find us again. Don't be a strangeeeer..." She murmurs, then pulls him in for a damp hug and another light shake before looking over at the sound of Natsuki's voice. "Oh, Natsukiiii. Everything we could take care of here is... Taken care of, mhm. Let's go grab something to eat, yeeeeah. We might have to reheat some of it, but it should still be good!" The somberness fades from her fairly quickly, at least, even if she's way more tired now than she was before all of this. Kukuru doesn't even teleport down to the ground level once Natsuki starts heading down. She just steps right off the roof like there aren't three stories in the way. Her legs and nanites can take it. |
Hamada Haru | There was no medal to clatter to the ground; the same movement that thrust it out the back of the Greeed's body claimed it. The nameless Kamen Rider holds it in his hand, which is plenty solid in the aftermath of his charge. Whether or not he lets it go readily -- or at all -- hinges entirely on the question he asked being answered, and what gets said in the meanwhile determines whether or not he simply ghosts out and leaves with it immediately. There is a fork of this universe where the wrong thing is said and he does exactly that, and he makes it grandly difficult to get it back. But the wrong thing isn't said. Kamen Rider Aqua reacts correctly to the question that is put forward. A rapidly de-solidifying body becomes firmly corporeal again. The medal-coin slips out of a tightly closed fist to inbetween his fingers. Then it comes to rest against his thumb, and he flicks it towards Aqua. The copy of the nameless Kamen Rider disappears in a shimmer as he removes his transteam gun from his driver and returns to simply being Hamada Haru. "You don't have the luxury of messing up," Haru says, bluntly. Though he's looking at Aqua when he says it, his gaze turns deliberately to Woz afterwards. He turns, and begins to leave. Natsuki appears at the top of the stairs as he does-- he pauses, looking up at her. Then he draws his transteam gun again and toggles something. CONSTRUCTION PROTOCOL it blares, as nanites buzz out and begin to address the water damage. He can be found back out in front ordering more fried food immediately after, and then -- probably -- in the aquarium for a while, before he actually leaves the area. |
Timespace Riders | It's, easier. With a group. "Even if you don't, I hope you find what you're looking for," says Sougo, as he removes the twinned Zi-O II Ridewatch. You don't have the luxury of messing up. Woz opens the gate on the Beyondriver and removes the Cobalt Miridewatch, the armor disappearing in green just as Sougo's had in pink. He looks askance at Haru when the Rider with no name gazes pointedly his way--Have I given the impression I believe otherwise?--but says nothing. Well you finished up here already, and all that's left is water damage? Woz and Sougo, sans armor, smile triumphantly at Natsuki. The retainer holds up a new Miridewatch, yet to be mantled. "Sure did! It's too bad about the water damage, but it looks like Haru has that covered." This place isn't worth hanging around in. Let's go back to that picnic we started! "That sounds great," says Sougo. "I hope Torrie's cucumber sandwiches made it out okay..." |
