Angela The poker game continues. Sometimes Rodya pulls ahead, sometimes Xion and Riku push forward. At some point the Waitress vanished but at this point she's delivered enough drinks to anyone who wanted them to make sure they're nice and tipsy and has been missing for some time. But as the game goes on, the boxbot player gets more agitated as he loses more and more chips and Rodya keeps chatting up Xion like they are old friends. Finn is struggling to stay in the game but he murmurs to Matilda, "Hey does something feel a little off about the cards..?"

Indeed, it's easy to miss but with Matilda's divination warning of 'temperature changes', it's become more evident over the course of the game. Some of the cards feel room temperature to the touch, some of the cards feel ... just a bit colder.

"Hurry up and just tell us your trick. I can make it worth your while. More than winning a few games will get you. Better to sell it of now before they catch wise." Boxbot tells Rodya.

"Oh give it up, she's not going to share her trick that easily." Aida pipes in. "You can tell just by feeling her out. You know, Rodya... You're still wearing that uniform but you actually left the Yurodiviye, didn't you? Why was that?"

A faint chill hits the room as Rodya's smile fades but she doesn't answer the question.

"Miss... " Finn looks to Rodya. "You're using some manner of psychoment to mark the cards, aren't you?"

Rodya's expression even as she's called out does not change, though the fingers on her left hand tense ever so slightly. "...If you're gonna accuse me, you best have some evidence--"

Hanafuda approaches, eyes narrowing as she looks Rodya ever but before she can speak...

---Fffsssssssh---

The vault door holding the tournament winnings slowly spins open all on its own.

And it's empty, except for a single Library card laying face down on the bottom of the floor. Hanafuda rushes over and picks up the card.

"Shit! Someone stole from the vault...!"
Angela At that point all hell breaks loose. Boxbot partially opens up, revealing six bladed weapons, all aimed towards Rodya. "You...what do you have to do with this?!"

A pair of colorfully patterned clubs slip out into Aida's hands though she seems considerably less aggressive about it.

"What--why would I cheat at cards if I knew the vault was gonna be empty!?"

The boxbot man lunges at her, bowling her over as she brings her axe forward to fend him off. "So you admit you were cheating!!" He shouts.

Of course, this leave the question as to who actually robbed the vault as Hanafuda comes rushing back. "Forget Rodya! We have to catch those thieves! They've got to be nearby!"

Mysteriously, at about this point, the Waitress can be seen, now wearing casual nightwear, rushing out towards the front door with a backpack over one shoulder at 'fast walk'--her prosthetic arm recognizable in of itself even if she has undone her ponytail and changed her outfit.

"Don't forget Rodya! Help Rodya out and get this guy off of me!" The blades from Mr. Boxbot start glowing with orange-red heat.
Riku Asakura The Vault is empty.

Uh oh.  This is going to cause some trouble, as their contract changes on the fly from figuring out how Rodya was cheating, to finding the thieves, to also helping Rodya fend off her attacker.  Riku leaps into action right away.

"You go!" he says and pulls out the Ultraman capsule.  "I go!" he says and pulls out the Ulraman Belial capsule.  "Here we go!" he says, pulling the Fusion Riser across the two capsules and shouting again.  "It's time to get ready!" he pulls the Fusion Riser up and then over his heart.  "Geeeeeeeeeeeeed!"

Ultraman
Ultraman Belial
Ultraman Geed Primitive

In normal size form, Ultraman Geed is born, as he immediately dives at the box bot and attempts to shoulder check him by giving him the old Geed Tackle.  He then attempts to grapple with the box bot and drive it away from people.
Xion Xion's simple strategies for winning at card games seemed effective enough, and with other members of the table providing enough flow of chips that the game had ebbs and flows, settled into a comfortable rhythm of thumb lifting her pair of personal cards' ends and carrying on with conversation and rolling chips down the table.

It wasn't a bad way to spend a night, all told! Dressing up fancy, free drinks (that at one point Xion tried the fruity one herself), and winning more than she lost was a numbing pace of activities. When the accusations start to fly, Xion annoyedly slides her cards over each other in a slow, increasingly-nervous cycle. Her whole awareness had been placed on the game, watching tells, trying to not walk into traps, and she was pretty sure she had figured out the trick when there's a change in pressure and the vault rolls open.

Change in pressure? They must not have normalized the pressure of the vault when entering it -- teleportation?

Xion's guessing is cut short as a fight immediately breaks out. Pulling off watching Hanafuda from the table to dropping chips on top of her hand and getting up, Xion looks around the room - framed in periphery by the flashing of Riku transforming into the silver-and-black 'suited' Ultraman and leaping directly into the defense of Rodya. Without time to explain - and knowing just from Riku's honest heart (and card gaming play) that he'd go for the problem in front of him - Xion searches quickly for motion behind her, people moving with guilt or purpose, and kinda-sorta sees a flash of a departing ''waitress''.

"Looks like drink hour is over!" Xion mutters, giving a quick glance to Sonett and Matilda... and remembers they're supposed to keep their actions sort of on the down-low. Was that still in effect?

Nobody told them otherwise!

Moving directly for the front door, Xion waits until she's broken through the crowd to subvocalize into her earpiece: "I think someone's trying to leave in a hurry. I'm trying to beat them to the door - try and grab them!"

True to her word, Xion pushes with blatant speed once in the crowds to beat the runner to the front door, appearing in a sworl of black having skipped some of the intervening distance, Xion draws Starlight from a metallic 'shwink!' and light-taps the door to seal it shut for now, as inconvenient as that might be.

She's trusting Sonetto and Matilda to flank! Perhaps she'll be alone in this dance, and that's... just what you get with low communication plans!
Timekeeper     Sonetto is bad at poker. For most of the game, she's completely unaffected by this fact, given that her goal is to stay close to Rodya and maintain a ruse, but once she forgets about the chips being bankrolled by the casino, competitiveness starts to worm its way into her mind. Terminally unfamiliar with 'games', the idea that Rodya is surely winning against her due to some dastardly cheating fires Sonetto up with a tinge of irritation to her playing.

"Wouldn't you think it's boring to win every time at a game?"

"A game is a test of skill that demands the best of you. If losing were desirable in any game, then the game's stakes would not matter anymore." Sonetto says to Rodya in the minutes before all hell breaks loose, sliding a significant chunk of her chips into the table. "To cheat does the same. I don't understand it."

She loses again, and purses her lips.

"Shit! Someone stole from the vault...!"

    "What?!"

Sonetto pushes her chair back and drops her hand, revealing yet another worthless round of high-card. Contrary to Xion, the moment shouting starts, Sonetto snaps her attention back to the group and the mission, discarding the ruse entirely. Hanafuda shouted at them, after all!

"We cannot let Miss Rodya escape without interrogation! It is possible that she was aware of tonight's operation and used herself to distract the heightened security for an accomplice! Geed, please mind her!"

"I think someone's trying to leave in a hurry."

Leaving behind the table nearly empty of chips at her seat, Sonetto's attention skims through the chaos until she locks onto the escaping waitress. Her hand brushes against the earpiece with a short affirmative noise, and then drops to the hilt of her sword at her waist. She angles herself to weave hastily through the crowd, lightly shouldering through the mayhem if she has to, to chase after the waitress.

Coming from behind her with Xion in the front, Sonetto raises her voice to be heard above the arguing and fighting. "Stop! Do not go any further!"
Angela Without much time to investigate the vault, it's hard to say how it was done, though there's a vent out into the vent though how they got back UP to the vent if they left that way too implies some manner of athletic ability. It's also still closed up so they'd have had to have closed it back up before dropping into the vault. Any other security the vault had is probably in the hands of the casino itself.

The Ultraman tackles Mr. Boxbot as he's menacing Rodya, catching him as he's off guard!

"Whew! Thanks kid. Or uh, Thanks Geed?" She does not understand the Geeeeeeeeed. But she isn't one to question a magical multiverse. Instead she flicks an ahn coin in Riku's direction. "Take it as my thanks!" She says as she turns to run.

Though as that coin is flung Geed's way, Boxbot attempts to stab into Geed with all six of his heat-edge blades! "Out of my way--...whatever you are!"

Xion and Sonetto end up taking the lead while Rodya is following them to the exits.

''Used herself to distract the heightened security for an accomplice!''

"Wh--what!! I said I didn't do that!" Rodya says. "I'm innocent!" She considers the fact she obviously isn't innocent. "I'm mostly innocent, I wouldn't want this kind of heat!"

The Waitress comes up short as Xion intercepts her.

Abandoning the pretext of a disguise, Parker exhales in frustration. "Xion...Can't convince you to just let me past huh?"

She draws out a page from her shirt and clenches it tightly until the EGO armor of Happy Teddy Bear appears around her, a big brown stuffing-like armor appearing around her along with a big bear paw glove around one of her hands--

--and she promptly sprints towards a window, throwing herself through it and into the street.

Rodya decides to try escaping that way too. "I'm running away on my own! I'm not affiliated with her! My choice of escape route is coincidental! I don't know her!"

Meanwhile Hanafuda is rushing after the rest of you, taking up the rear.

"...Hey, you need help?" Aida asks, watching Geed battle Mr. Boxbot.
Riku Asakura 'Geed, please mind her!'

"Geed turns his head back towards Sonetto and gives her a nod.  This is before a coin is thrown at him as thanks for helping Rodya.  He catches it, but this is dangerous because the box-bot comes at him with six heat blades, yelling at him to stay out of his way.  This causes dangerous sparking to occur as the blades slide across Geed's body as he dodges.

Falling back, he looks up as Rodya tries to leg it herself.  He draws out the Geed Claw, summoning it from elsewhere as he crouches, and then lets out a roar.  "Corkscrew Jamming!" he shouts, aiming initially toward the box-bot, but traveling through him towards the fleeing back of Rodya, aiming to try and knock her over with the attack.

"Sorry, but I can't let you get away, Rodya.  Even if I don't want you to get hurt.  So do not try to run away anymore."
Xion Xion, turning from the door and already sliding the 'blade' of her keyweapon into her jacket, leaving just hilt and keychain visible as she tries to resume being subtle. She still isn't sure whether to drop the act or not, and professionally she wants to remain worthy of dressing up this much.

Holding her concealed-draw posture, hand hidden by the fall of jacket-side, Xion looks at Parker with a slow blink and a faint-empty smirk.

"You could, but, it'd take longer than you have." Xion answers Parker, ready to defend from being pushed past and collapse the trap Sonetto is closing.

"Showdown. Going to fold now?" Xion asks, stance widening by degrees, not sure Parker will stop, push, or maneuver. Parker, thinking fast, maneuvers around!

"Pretty convincing!" She praises, springing short to catch Parker with the hook of her keyblade's tooth, coming up short and hanging from the high windowsill for a moment hanging from her sword instead.

"Be a moment!" She shouts, and mantles out of the window after Parker into the street, trying to track the big bag and dash after the thief. In this case... She's a lot more concerned with the property. 'How did it all fit in there?' doesn't occur to her because Xion understands the concept of an 'Inventory' parazonally: the bag can be as deep as it needs to be. It's a bag! Bags hold objects.
Timekeeper "I'm mostly innocent, I wouldn't want this kind of heat!"

Sonetto calls back over her shoulder, even-toned in the midst of the chaos and running while drawing her sword. "If you are innocent, please remain in place for questioning after the thief has been caught! It is customary in this area to apply a certain level of leniency to cheaters if they are cooperative after having been caught, and the repercussions for being associated with felony larceny are far worse!"

Sonetto startles and pulls Terra all'Amore up into a defensive guard when Parker activates her EGO, not recognizing it or her. "Xion... you are familiar with her?!"

"My choice of escape route is coincidental! I don't know her!"

Sonetto is faster at clambering through the window than Rodya is, though the speed with which she does so means the remaining broken glass tears at the fabric of her suit. Spinning around to Rodya, frustrated that there's little she can do if Rodya decides to run the opposite direction of Parker, Sonetto shouts, "Take a moment to consider your risk, Miss Rodya! If you worry that the law may ever catch up with you, then fleeing here is a dangerous decision, but if you lend your assistance to stopping the robbery, I am certain that you will be left off easily!"

Then she takes off after Parker, sword rapidly building up charge in its fuller. If she can't catch up with her, there's always the option of using her arcanum to slow her down... but not yet, until it's her last resort.
Angela Riku aims at Mr. Boxbot but ends up firing at Rodya! Rodya gets slammed into by the GEED CLAW and ends up smashing into Parker's back as she's in mid air and they both tumble down the stairs in a manner that is not very elegant indeed.

Parker turns her head towards Rodya and shoves her bag into Rodya, gets up, and starts running. Rodya blinks in disbelief for a moment and then shoves it back at Parker, "Hey!! Don't make me into an accomplice!" She complains. the two of them are shoving the bag back and forth between one another as they make their way to a street where Mikey is waiting in a car.

"Eh?" Mikey asks. "Wait wait wait wait you picked a fight with Trídéag, Parker?! I don't want to mess with them, The Dame Commander's scary!!"

"The money's for the Yurodiviye," Parker tells Mikey. "We can just give it to her and leave."

"FORMER Yurodiviye!" Rodya protests, shoving the bag back into Parker's arms.

"Riiight. Former Yurodiviye." Parker pushes the bag back into Rodya's hands.

Xion's expectation of the 'bag' is probably accurate. She's known Pete to have bags with special dimensional spaces within them to hold many more items than initially appears. He's really proud of that bag of his.

Parker grabs hold of a light post as she sees Xion closing in and chucks it at her--less intent on hurting her and more just slowing her down so she can get in the car.

''If you worry that the law may ever catch up with you, then fleeing here is a dangerous decision, but if you lend your assistance to stopping the robbery...''

Rodya, who had just shoved the bag back into Parker's hands one more time, quirks her head to look at Sonetto--and then apparently decides she's trustworthy because she looks to Parker and says, "You know what, never mind--we're accomplices." She offers her hands for the bag.

"...Well I don't believe you now!"

"Dammit." Rodya says as she draws out her axe, it rapidly freezing to a large chonky axe composed of ice. She rears back and YUCKS it at the car, freezing the entire back half of it.

Mikey slams his foot on the pedal the car revs up, "Aw shit, aw shit! She's got an EGO, Parker! Parker just run!"

The axe materializes back in Rodya's hands and she grins lazily, "Hey, what can I say... She offered a sweetheart deal." She doesnot realize that the EGO was being capitalized there.

Parker exhales and flips over the car and continues running while Mikey reaches into a coat pocket.

Aida is just kind of hanging back, having no incentive to help or get in the way. Mr. Boxbot, however, a tempermental fellow is still mad about Geed tackling him. Also, that Geed Claw was close enough to his body he's not so sure that WASN'T meant for him! He lashes out with several more swipes as Hanafuda finally makes it outside the Casino too.

"Shit...Who the hell is that...? Nobody's done a robbery like that in J Corp in years..."
Riku Asakura The box-bot is unsatisfied with how things have turned out, and is still temperamental about being tackled and nearly shot at by the Geed Claw.  This causes him to swipe at Geed's back, but Geed spins around to form a Geed Barrier.  The barrier grows smaller as the blades dig into it, but Geed does have one more trick up his sleeve.

Ultraman Geed can FLY.

He does so, out the window and towards Rodya, aiming to land right in front of her, right after the ice freezes the back of the car.  He also uses this gift of flight to avoid more swipes from the box-bot.  Hopefully, he'll stay inside and let Geed deal with Rodya; if not, he's going to be in a three-way fight with the two of them.
Timekeeper "I don't want to mess with them, The Dame Commander's scary!!"

    "How do you Director Rook?"

Seeing a *getaway car* waiting for the thief makes Sonetto consider that they must be hardened criminals to be prepared like this for such a large scale heist. A criminal organization like this... "They must have come afoul of the Trideag Association before...."

This will be something to ask about later. For now, Sonetto's mission is to stop the robbery and apprehend them, a mission in which she is immediately gratified by Rodya taking her advice.

"We can just give it to her and leave."

Organized and notorious, but oddly non-committal... equipped with powerful weaponry and supplies, but highly risk averse.... Sonetto runs through everything she knows in her mind about her foes while flipping open the clasp of her hip pouch with her right hand, shifting Terra all'Amore to her left. The pen comes up, level like a gun and aimed in the direction of the car with the threat of one.

    "Mercenaries, then. I see."

"Aw shit, aw shit! She's got an EGO, Parker!"

"Thank you, Miss Rodya. I will clearly communicate your assistance to the authorities when the time comes." Sonetto gives her a nod, and then shifts her writer's grip on the pen, reading to scrawl glowing text in the air as she reads it out authoritatively.

"Fainter, dimmer, stiller each moment; now night."

The letters made of light constrict into beams, arcing out and over to speed towards the car. Where they hit it, the wheels seize up in a static glow, axles arrested, steering wheel unresponsive, with cords of light tightly wrapped around them.

"I am unsure of their identity, but they have shared enough information to begin tracking them down as-is. Have no worries, Miss Hanafuda."
Xion Xion moves smoothly out the window and across the street, hopping up over crowds and stalls and using keyblade tooth as hook to one-spin hurl off of the hanging bars of streetlights. Landing with momentum, she brings up keyblade in a shoulder-slung hold while jogging after Parker, swiftly closing while the bag changed hands in comedy timing.

"Hey, if you decide who'll give it to me, I'll take that!" She encourages, cupping loose hand to side of cheek to call after Parker and Rodya.

"I don't care who the money's for when you take it, it's not going to be taken!" Xion shouts, making it very clear where her line is, and earns something heavy heaved at her for her troubles:

A lightpost! Not wanting to do a limbo ground-slide in her good clothes, the noirette cashes in her momentum while bringing her empty-star toothed keyblade to bear on the bar coming at her with a single mighty slash that leaves the blade at low guard. The pale-white wave it cleaves allows her to mash X through the contact, waking the two pieces past herself... but Parker's almost at the car!!

Until Rodya changes sides, thanks to Sonetto, and ices the car.

'Mercenaries, then. I see.'

"They definitely didn't know it'd be us across from them!" Xion suggests cheerily while passing Sonetto, catching up after having to Interact with the lightpost. Parker escaping with the bag can't happen even if Parker escaping would be fine by Xion - which creates a conundrum.

Thankfully, it's a conundrum solved by medallion weapon. Drawing a grapefruit pink and orange medallion from coat pocket, the token transforms into a strangely-eyed and sharp white toothed mouthed Chomp-bola that Xion lets fly at the fleeing thief's ankles. Even in mid-air and with nonsense physics the twin headed Bola Chomp hungers for ankles and must be overcome before Parker can escape safely!
Angela ''Ultraman can FLY.''

Mr. BoxBot cannot fly. He can only stare up at Riku impotently as he takes flight and away from him. "Now they're cheating in fights too!! Dammit! I want a refund!"

But Rodya doesn't seem inclined to run anymore. She has accepted a DEAL with some manner of Fixer whom she's read as honest enough to make a deal with (Sonetto being bad at poker probably helped give her that impression at the very least). Of course, Riku landing in FRONT of her means that she bumps into him when she tries to chase after Parker. "Aw shit--wait, you can fly! Can you keep an eye out for her overhead?" It is occuring to her that if Rodya tries to help stop the robber but the bag isn't secured, her PLEA DEAL might go out the window! She can't say that for sure, but she also can't say it'd still go her way for sure either!

''How do you know Director Rook?''

"She--" Mikey hesitates, like he's not sure what he's allowed to say. "She saved all of us at Lobotomy Corp, but it went real bad at the end. But the Ring's real mad at me, I can't live outside, they'll turn me into a sculpture."

The ice wasn't going to last forever. It dissipitates after pnning the car. Mikey, whose foot never left the gas pedal, suddenly lurches forward as the car swerves forward--but only for a moment as Sonetto lashes out with her pen and pins the car once more.

"Shh...shiit." Mikey says. "H,hey you know what? Keep the car. You can have it. It's a, uh, a gift! Yeah a gift. I don't wanna be your enemy, oh god, Parker just said it'd be a fun night out--"

He draws out an invitation from his pocket and hurriedly writes his name--vanishing as he's whisked away to the Library. But he leaves the car behind, along with a small datapad on the passenger side seat. Also there's a ton of nature-inspired doodles in the background, mostly realist though definitely in the 'sketch' phase, still.

Parker is nearly out of sight, when Xion CHUCKS a chomp-based bola in her direction. Parker is pretty agile for a LIbrarian and Agents that survived Lobcorp (Mikey notwithstanding) tend to be, well, particularly skilled relative to the average Citygoer.

But, okay, there's no way she's going to expct a bola. Let alone a Mario-based bola.

Parker is just about to turn down a side street when the bola wraps around Parker's legs and sends her sprawling to the ground. One hand shoves down into her bag, the other into her coat as she attempts to wiggle down the side street and get out of sightlines from Xion--or at least everyone else.

"A bola?! Seriously?? Who uses a bola!" Parker complains.

Hanafuda approaches, looking at a small datapad of her own, "...Wait, wait wait--you're PARKER? I thought your Office had been eradicated ages ago. Why've you come back to District Ten?"

"RGhhh...." Parker grumbles. "There's still a kid left behind." She doesn't seem inclined to share any more, though, but the chain-chomps are straining as she writhes her legs around in ways that look truly uncomfortable. "So I've got...one more job..."
Riku Asakura Ultraman Geed does not seem inclined to refund the box-bot his money back.  That's something he'll have to take up with management.  Bumped into, Riku listens to Royda, who seems to be on their side.  Good job, Sonetto!

Riku nods at her request, taking flight again to try and track down Parker, trusting that Royda won't try and dip on them now.  However, it appears that Xion has it, using the Mario Chain Chomp like a bola and halting Parker's escape.

Landing next to Parker, he helps her to her feet but holds her as well, not removing the bolas until the authorities arrive.  It looks like things are wrapping up.  "I know it might be hard to talk about, but right now I think you're out of options, ma'am," Riku says to Parker.
Xion Xion knows that Trideag has to perform highly even if the circumstances are against them, and recover anything lost or get a capture on the spot to really sell their qualification. With Sonetto handling the car, quick thinking with a particularly persistent-minded keychain weapon lets her make good on a collar.

'A bola?! Seriously?? Who uses a bola!'

"It's a Bola Chomp!" Xion corrects, unapologetic as she slows down her pursuit to the struggling Parker. The Chomp-bola make little 'wow wow! HAUF! wow wow! HAUF!' each time they do a tangling-clanky interacting with trying to bite Parker's already-captured ankles and simply making the situation worse.

Slowing down, Xion frowns faintly. "A kid? Well, that's a normal reason to get one more job'ed, but, how does that get you here? Where's the kid?"

Xion going easy on Parker went softly unsaid - she didn't want to just lay it out stupid style before Hanafuda even if it was true - Xion didn't want to make things more complicated than they already were.

She didn't really want to turn her weapons on Parker, and so they were only good for tripping her up and slowing her down.

"It might be a bit late to ask Trideag for help, Parker... But maybe it'll break lucky for you?"
Timekeeper "She saved all of us at Lobotomy Corp, but it went real bad at the end. But the Ring's real mad at me, I can't live outside, they'll turn me into a sculpture."

Sonetto frowns. She is, of course, familiar with the video of Lilian fighting hordes of Abnormalities during the fall of Lobotomy Corporation, and so by a certain logic, Lilian saved *everyone* in the City 'at Lobotomy Corp'. Clearly, though, that doesn't account for the entirety of this person's opinions on Lilian, and so that's just another thing to file away for later.

"If you do not wish to upset the Director," She eventually reasons, "Then take this opportunity to give up your heist and leave."

Being familiar with rectangles that make you teleport, Mikey's disappearance is fully counted as a victory, and she dispells her binding magic into glittering shards with a flick of her wand. Sheathing the wand but not the sword, she joins Xion, Riku, and Hanafuda where Parker has been bola'd to the ground.

"There's still a kid left behind."

"A kid?" Sonetto's eyes widen a bit. Of all reasons to justify a *casino heist*, the nonspecific need to help a child was not one she's ever heard or expected. "I do not think there is a kind of danger that a child can be in that necessitates stealing from a casino."

"It might be a bit late to ask Trideag for help, Parker... But maybe it'll break lucky for you?"

Sonetto holds her sword down, loosely threatening without directly implying an attack, to warn Parker to stay in place while she's further bound. A thoughtfully discomforted expression draws her brows together, reluctant as she is to console a defeated opponent.

"Whatever misdeeds you have done, the Association would not hold a child accountable. In addition to your confession, I would... be willing to listen to the circumstances of that one 'left behind' that you are worried about."
Angela ''I know it might be hard to talk about, but right now I think you're out of options, ma'am.''

"I'm never out of options." Parker spits back, glaring at him but can't seem to muster the ire to really go in on him.

She's even more sympathetic--if annoyed--with Xion.

"I don't trust anything the City sponsors." Parker tells Xion. "And you know who I'm talking about. You're one of the people who did the most to chop free one of her ankles." Though she lowers her voice when she says that, so Hanafuda can't hear.

"But you are pretty trussed up." Rodya says. "...You lost your whole crew?"

Parker looks away, "...Sometimes you gotta try to make things better even if it might wreck everything. Even if it means losing."

Rodya looks stricken for a moment, poker face vanishing as she grits her teeth and clenches the hem of her Yurodiviye jacket. "You were going to give that cash to the Yurodiviye. To Sonya. To distribute as he saw fit. Figured this casino was just the right size to hurt and just the right size to struggle chasing down the ahn." She's about to ask something else but something in Parker's eyes shuts her up. Instead she says, "...But just so you know... I wouldn't trust Sonya so easy."

''The Association would not hold a child accountable.''

"...The Association would make tough choices." Parker says eventually. "She's not really a kid anymore ... but I broke in there ages ago and for me it doesn't feel that long ago at all." Her eyes slant towards Hanafuda and then back to Sonetto. "But she's still stuck in that time, in that place. The world weighs a lot heavier than her. But someone's still gotta be there to give her some leverage."

She sighs. "But you win this time."

She clutches a hidden invitation in her coat and vanishes away, leaving the bag that has most of the casino's spoils behind (Parker clenched what she could in her fist before vanishing).

Finn starts running over, "I think I figured out how she did it! And uh. I took some time to calm the uh--box guy down and-- I convinced Miss Aida to stick around to answer some questions." He looks to Rodya, smiling. "You'll uh--stick around to answer questions too, right?"

"...Yeah, I gotta get my wrist slapped." Rodya smiles, her pokerface returning. "I'll tell them my trick and everything."
