Tinyplot: A Wish for the Future

Kakarot (723) has posed:
The original battles which raged over Reptilon in the arrival of the Neo-Saiyans has gone silent. There has been only the looming ships in space, hanging above the planet to remind them.

That, and of course, the damage that has already been wrought.

A chance for peace has been wrested from the hands of war in the sudden intervention of both Union and confederacy in this situation. All who wish to speak with the leader of the Neo-Saiyans have been invited to board his ship and deal with him in a diplomatic capacity.

Saiyans? Diplomacy? These concepts might be an inside joke to certain people who are familiar with the more standard Saiyan behavior, but in this case, it looks like... Things are actually legit.

The chosen diplomats of the Union and Confederacy are given boarding clearance, and met with Saiyans in formal army who exude an air of military professionalism. Their movements are precise and their behavior controlled.

The Union delegation is met by a Saiyan male in red-tinted armor, his expression all smiles as they arrive. "Hi there! I'm Toma,, leader of Red Squad, and welcome to the King's capital ship! We're here to escort you there and make sure everthing is fine." Hs gives a smart bow and leads the way.

The Confederates are met by a tall woman in green, who also bows. "Greetings. I am Zuki. leader of Green Squad. It's good to meet powerful warriors such as yourselves. Please come with us to the meeting hall to see the King. He has been awaiting you with anticipation."

There is a short tim for both groups to speak with their respective delegation leaders. They travel through steel corridors designed to deal with the possibility that sometimes a giant ape might have to travel through them. Everything is clean and works with precision.

The two groups enter the meeting hall of the massive craft from opposite sides. The room is fairly large, with a vaulted ceiling, and a circular table set upon the floor. The table is piled high with foodstuffs and drink of all types and description, as well as a few more exotic items. An Energon cube is seen poking out at one place, as well as a bottle with a strange vintage and branded with an ankh-cross insignia, as well as a scepter in silhouette.

Each chair is equipped with microphones in case they need to amplify their voices, and a computer system to connect to local networks if needed.

Along the outside wall, there are evenly spaced display cases filled with valuable-looking objects and relics from a number of worlds, presumably those belonging to the Saiyan Empire. The Union and Confederacy enter from diagonally equivalent distances to the center area on the southwest and southeast, for the lack of a better term. Kakarot is seated in a simple chair no different than the others, at the northernmost point. The banner of the Neo-Saiyan Empire hangs behind him on the wall over his own respective entrance.

As they enter, Kakarot stands, and opens his arms. "Union. Confederacy. Multiversal warriors all. Welcome to my table. Feast, drink, and let us talk about what's going to happen with that planet we're hovering over."

He smiles. "I'm absolutely looking forward to seeing what you all have to say."

Genghis Rex (114) has posed:
Rex and his Tyrannos arrive and the scowl on the Tyranno Leader's face is unmistakable. He's playing this little game with Kakarot because etiquette calls for it. All of his Tyrannos glance around with suspicion and regard every Saiyan interaction with guile.

Terrible Dactyl, on the other hand, is smartly dressed in a business suit that might rival something Tony Stark would wear. He is calm and composed and appears to be right at home in a good ole' negotiation.

Rex regards Kakarot's offer of food and drink with a roll of his eyes, "Accept NOTHING from the table Tyrannos. We will not imbibe the taint of these wretches."

Serori (37) has posed:
Among the first Confederates to arrive is Serori. Colonel of the Confederacy, Queen of the Saiyan Empire, she proudly displays both her affiliations in the color and style of her dress. The armor she wears tonight is pristine white accented by shining silver plates. Short pauldrons extend from her chestplate like stubby curved wings, each one supporting the weight of her heavy black cape. House Vegeta's royal sigil is stamped into the medallions affixing her cape to her armor, and also etched into the obsidian earrings dangling from her earlobes. Her battlesuit covers her body head to toe, except where her arms are left bare, and she wears her usual white boots tipped in silver rings, but instead of gloves, she wears white and silver bracers.

Behind her comes a small contingent of saiyans she'd chosen to provide her protection tonight. Though she expects they'll die if the meeting comes to blows, having them along looks good, and a death in battle is a glorious way for any saiyan to meet his or her end.

Serori gives Zuki a rather cool appraisal. "So formal," she murmurs after the greeting is given, sounding amused. "You're disciplined. It's nice to see. Lead the way, then."

On entering the meeting room, Serori repeats the exercise of a cool, calm appraisal, first of the room, then of Kakarot himself. "Thank you for hosting us, King Kakarot. You've prepared a fine reception, I see. Impressive."

She claims a seat, takes an offered drink, and waits.

Allo (724) has posed:
Lets be honest here, the Dinosaucers where still rather surprised at Genghis Rex's previous tranmissions, and that he had -not- tried to just take the Tyranno Empire crown then and there. Or that he had actually been, while overly dramatic, rather sensible about it. Was it possible his longtime rival had actually learned that there was more to power and leadership than wanting it?

Despite the suggestion from both his crew and other officials, Allo had declined making a similar broadcast. Partially because his own duties trying to get everything situationed with their goverment took up most of his time the last few days. And partially because he insisted on not distracting from the real crisis here by getting into a 'compatition' with Rex, even unintentionally.

Old habits die hard though. Allo still had the nagging in the back of his head that there was something else going on here, be it Rex or his allies. But so far they were playing nice and had even been helpful it recovering from the attacks, so he too would continue to play nice.

The Dinosaucers as a whole enter along with the Union representation, as that has been the greater faction they have been working the most with. The group was just as cautious as their counterparts, though prehaps a bit less dour about it. Except for Tricero, who's always rather on the dour side, staring at everyone suspiciously on both the Neo-Sayain and Confederate side.
And extra hard at Styraco. Likely lamenting in some internal noir diologue to himself about Blackhorn being so close yet just out of his reach -yet again-...

"The offer is appreciated, though we're okay for the time being, thank you," Allo replies to the greeting. Also less rude about it than Rex.

Dracula Vlad Tepes (83) has posed:
Dracula wouldn't miss this opportunity, after everything that's been going on lately. It's probably not a surprise to see him among the Confederates, then, standing tall and regal with his arms folded behind his back, beneath his bloody cape. His usual outfit drapes over him, but considering how lavish it is, that's hardly an insult. No matter what faces him, his expression is calm and composed, as assured of himself as the rest of his posture suggests. Something learned over the ages, perhaps, but by now it's simply instinctual.

Zuki's greeting is met with a short, but polite bow from the vampire lord. Not much more than a dip of the head and a bend at the waist, but it's a courteous enough response. He personally has nothing to say to Zuki as they walk, however; his own words are to be saved for Kakarot, once they finally meet him. The Lord of Darkness keeps silent until the meeting hall is reached, and it's there that Dracula stops for a moment to consider their surroundings in greater detail.

There's a lot to take in, and his draconic gaze sweeps over all of it in turn. Kakarot is about as impressive as Dracula expected, particularly with that banner looming behind him, but other objects draw his attention around the room first. Foods, relics, drinks; prizes all, no doubt, owing to the Neo-Saiyans' reputation as widespread conquerors. Utter destruction of civilizations isn't quite the goal, after all: one must have at least some token to make that conquest known, whether it be a kingdom bent to one's will or a small token from what was there before. It draws a smirk along Dracula's expression before he strides along to the table.

The flourish of his hand emerging from behind him sends his cape billowing for a moment, before that arm bends at his waist, heralding the low bow he offers to Kakarot. When he straightens up again, his arm is lifted slightly at his side, a prim gesture to match his slight smile. "King Kakarot. A pleasure to meet you under more...peaceful circumstances. You have my thanks as well for arranging this meeting. Let us hope we can reach a mutually satisfying conclusion tonight."

He doesn't take any food or drink, but with another swish of his cape out of the way, he takes a seat and folds his hands on the table.

Raditz (486) has posed:
On the Union side of the Neo-Saiyan ship, the number of representatives is considerably smaller than that of the Confederate reperasentatives, but this group does contain a few very interested, and relatively important people who'd like to get a good look at this contingent of Saiyans, their setup and their king.

Into the room strides a single saiyan male with long dark hair, and a bit of a glare as he looks about the place, and Toma will very likely recognize him as easily as he'd recognize Toma, and as soon as this Saiyan spots Toma, he smirks and walks over, allowing himself a bit of a grin. "Well now, if it isn't Toma. I hadn't seen you since before I was sent off to planet Seed way back when..." Raditz's grin lasts long enough, before it drops away and he says, "I'm here to see my brother."

Taylita (180) has posed:
This is an impressive ship, is what Taylita is thinking as they are guided toward the meeting hall. She is looking around at the large hallway, the efficient designs, and the huge stack of food and drink on the table. She is aware of the stakes here, and so the only saiyan in attendence who isn't and has never been part of a saiyan empire of some kind has designed her own armor for the occassion. Like the armor she usually wears, it leaves a fair amount of skin showing, but unlike that other armor this is made of plates of metal and flexible alloys.

Taylita has chosen to use white herself in her armor color, with red trim and accents, and has made the plates so that they are molded to her body. It is obvious the armor is for show as it basically amounts to a sports bra and a pair of shorts, though she has made boots as well. The futuristic-looking kind with a bit of a heel on them. She also has bracers on that contain a few devices.

She looks over at Raditz appears, then makes her way over to him. "Hey there, Raditz. Quite a ship, huh?" she says, standing with her arms over her chest and her tail swaying gently.

Vegeta (663) has posed:
Vegeta doesn't say a word. He frowns at Zuki, then just continues walking after everyone. As this is a diplomatic meeting, he's taken out his rare regalia that he used to wear all the time when he first returned. Long red cape, shoulder pads, royal crest, and the large jewel pendent around his neck. His tail is kept unwrapped, swinging freely as if in defiance of anyone to try something.

Kakarot (723) has posed:
"Wow!" Toma saysm grinning. "Hey, it's Raditz! Man, it's like /everyone/ is coming back from the dead or something." He claps Raditz on the shoulder with a firm greeting. "It's great to see you again, even if you weren't ours." He waves a hand. "Don't worry, I'm sure the King will love to see you too." Taylita gets a laugh as they head through the ship and she makes her comment. "Yeah! It's some of the best manufacturing we've gotten so far! It's way more convenient than flying through space on those little capsules." He huffs.

"More personal greetings will have to wait until I'm not on the job." Zuki replies to Serori with a smirk. "I admit, you've made an impression. Of course, so has the... Prince." She smiles to Vegeta, but doesn't say anything more in that line of thought.

Toma and Zuki take places behind Kakarot, sitting at the table with the Neo-Saiyan king. There is also a massively muscled, bald Saiyan with a stonelike disposition in blue-colored armor. He doesn't say anything, simply sitting, implacable as a rock.

If Kakarot is insulted from Rex's response, he doesn't seem to care. Brachio does seem to garner a moment of pause as he looks over at the Tyrranos' decorations. He doesn't mention anything, however, as he picks up a giant meat on a bone and takes a big bite out of it, setting to with gusto in fine Saiyan tradition. The bone is stipped bare in a couple seconds, and he gestures with it like a baton. "Field Marshal, Vlad Tepes. I remember you well. You made a hell of an impression. Mostly on Vegeta, but I think we can understand the circumstances."

He stands up again as he sees Raditz enter. "Raditz!?" He says, a moment of surprise. "Well then, you're alive out here. That's pretty surprising. And fortunate. Make sure to stay for a while after this, maybe we can catch up on things." He grins in that disturbingly Goku-like way as he sits back down.

"So, right, Reptilon. It's a nice place, I want to take it. You have some good environments, looks like some decent resources, and you guys actually know how to fight. All good pluses."

He spreads his hands. "So we want you guys to join our Empire. We can do this the easy way or the hard way. The easy way, you guys get to keep most of your self-rule, and you'll become a part of the Planetary Trade Organization. You will get the protection of the Neo-Saiyan Empire in exchange for taxes, resources, manufacturing, and a portion of your military working alongside others who have taken the same deal in a place of honor."

He pauses. "Or we can do it the hard way, we blow you up until you're forced to surrender and you get a lot less favorable terms when we're done."

He continues to bear that smile. "I admit, a lot of my people are really hoping you choose the hard way. But it doesn't have to be that way if you want to be reasonable."

Tony Stark (301) has posed:
The Union didn't just send its own saiyans to the table, though. No, no, there has to be proper officer representation, and who better than the man who's had so many past dealings with both Saiyan and Tyranno?

Well, just about anyone else, if you ask him.

Tony Stark isn't happy about being here, but that's just one of the crappy things that comes with being a responsible adult these days. He has to actually be, you know, responsible. As a veteran of hundreds of business meetings he'd rather not have been to, though, he's very good at hiding it, and he's all crisp professional nods and smiles as he allows himself to be led to the meeting hall. Coincidentally enough, he too is wearing a business suit that rivals something Tony Stark would wear, as he's... wearing it. He does spare a side glance to Terrible Dactyl, a quick grin and approving nod when he sees that he's not the only one who came dressed for the party.

And he's not alone, either. If Serori is allowed an entourage of warriors, surely he's allowed his own modest contingent of bodyguards. Hey, unlike most others here he hasn't got super strength or shooty powers. He is flanked by two of the Iron Legion: the ubiquitous Mark 42 at his right shoulder, and the more heavily armored Mark 24 at his left. Both are empty, scans will reveal, currently controlled by Jarvis.

He takes a seat on the Union side of the table, accepts a drink and sniffs it speculatively as the suits take up silent position behind his chair. And he looks toward Rex with open interest at how he can possibly respond to that. Images of de-evolved Saiyans prance through his head.

Serori (37) has posed:
Serori looks around the table again once everyone is present and seated. There are no surprises --

Except Brachio.

The saurian gladiator sits on the receiving end of a black glare which could blister the paint off a deep-space cruiser's hull. The look /lingers/ for awhile, too, until Serori is convinced Brachio notices the reaction; then, she transfers her glare to Rex, who also gets a slight nod toward his right-hand reptile. Words aren't needed to communicate her displeasure over Brachio's furry ornamentation.

Stark is next to absorb Serori's focus. The anger she directed toward Brachio disappears behind a polite mask, though Serori's no less simmery over Major Stark's joining the table. "Nice to see you, Major. Raditz. Taylita."

Kakarot is at the head of the Neo-Saiyan delegation, of course, and the one most deserving of Serori's focused verbal assault. She's no politician, but she's more than capable of trading a few blows in this kind of arena. More than likely, the Field Marshal will have to intervene before she stumbles into something stupid; before that can happen, however, she responds to Kakarot's claims.

"Reptilon is a sovereign world. If the Reptilonians do not agree to become part of your empire, what would the Neo-Saiyans accept in place of their alliance? The Confederacy can offer similar resources without the need of any bloodshed. We could arrange a partnership as beneficial as whatever vassal arrangement you're seeking with Reptilon."

Vegeta (663) has posed:
"Nothing but treachery from your family. Invite people to dinner and then threaten to oppress them." Vegeta states as he takes a seat and crosses his arms, not touching the food himself. He just continues to scowl at Kakarot.

Tony Stark (301) has posed:
At Serori's greeting, Stark murmurs a soft, "Colonel," in response, and returns her look with a cool stare for several seconds before she addresses the Neo-Saiyan leader. God, he's glad this is centered around a world other than his own for once. And it couldn't happen to nicer people. In a deliberate effort to contrast himself to the scowls and rigid stubborness around the table, as well as make himself out to be the cool, unconcerned one, he takes one of the hors d'oeuvres on offer and nibbles at it. Then wrinkles his nose. Needs salt.

Raditz (486) has posed:
Raditz smirks a bit at Toma and replies, "You have no idea, Toma." He proceeds to walk along, and spies on the Union side Talita and Tony Stark, giving them nods, "Hey guys, been a while. Any robot apocalypses lately?" He pauses as he glances at Tony's armors, and blinks, "Are those suits empty? Man, that just gives me the creeps."

As he walks along, he soon spots the Confederate bunch, and nods, "Vegeta, Serori, always good to see you two." The most genuine tone. Truly. He spots Genghis and company and says, "So you Dino people are what this is all about huh. Kinda sucks..." His gaze does pause as he spies Brachio and his Saiyan tail trophies, and shoots a glare about as dark as Serori's, "You, I'm gonna punch later just on principle."

He finally sends his attention around to the King's court, eyeing all the Saiyans about, before turning his attention to the King himself, and smirks a bit, "As it happens yeah, I'm alive, which is a nice change. Nice to see you too, Kakarot." He folds his arms and says, "Seems like you didn't hit your head as a child and forget your mission. Not gonna lie, thats an interesting change to the alternative... But yeah, let's catch up later."

Dracula Vlad Tepes (83) has posed:
"I believe you'll find that making an impression is something that comes rather naturally to me," Dracula replies to Kakarot, fangs glinting through his smirk. It's not /entirely/ friendly, but he's not making any attempts at showing himself to be a threat here. It's simply a matter of reminding people of his own strength.

Serori has a direct response to the terms in hand for a moment, so the Field Marshal glances aside at some of the arrivals. Stark gets a brief nod of acknowledgement due to his station, though others simply get a brief look before Dracula turns back to Kakarot again.

While Serori shot a look to Brachio, Dracula ends up casting the same to Vegeta. It's a sharp /leer/ at the saiyan Prince, but one that only lasts long enough for him to notice. The vampire's draconic gaze is quick to settle as he focuses his attention once more on the Neo-Saiyan King, and then he opts to speak up himself.

"Reptilon is a location that happens to be part of Confederate interests, as I'm sure you can understand. Naturally, I would need to advise you that aggressive tactics against them would not be responded to solely by the Reptilonians. The Confederacy is vast indeed, and you've seen a certain subset of its abilities." His hand lifts, flourishing briefly toward Serori before settling back on the table. "Of course, as the Colonel says, you would be more than welcome to join the Confederacy for similar - or perhaps greater - resources, as well as the assistance of many of the varied powers you saw on your arrival, and more besides. Something to consider."

Allo (724) has posed:
It's likely Tony is not unaccustomed to taking up a lot of the attention upon entering the room, and this time is no different. At least from some of the Dinosaucers. Though to be fair it's more his 'bodyguards' that Dimentro takes an interest in than Stark himself.

Stego on the other hand gives Tony a light slap to the shoulder as the human passes and smirks. "Hear you're the guy that's been a pain in Rex's tail in our absense. Keep it up." He'd probably go on, but Allo turns his head just enough to give Stego a sharp 'not now' look. Stego just holds up his hands like he did nothing, then kicks back in a chair and just to emphasize being the 'not caring' attitude he puts on show puts his feet up on the edge of the table.

Sigh. Allo just gives Tony a polite nod. "Glad you could be present to assist in this matter."

Then turns his attention back to the matter at hand, setting his expression in his best practiced neutral diplomatic look... As Serori pretty much takes a lot of what he would of had to say already. "It would be best for all parties involved if a mutural arrangement between the extremes could be made."

The threat of the 'hard way' is enough to actually get Tricero to glare at Kakarot instead of Styraco. Brontothunder gives his own glare, but there's a hint of temptation at the sort of excitement this 'hard way' would offer to the more combative sorts such as himself. But he's not going to pick a fight at the risk of their entire planet, thankfully.

Genghis Rex (114) has posed:
Rex glowers at Kakarot, his boisterous voice rising with each word, "Who are YOU to make demands of me?!"

Terrible Dactyl quickly jumps up and grabs Rex's maw, pulling the much larger Tyranno down and snapping his mouth shut, "AH HAH! He was joking! HEH!"

Dactyl leans in and whispers into Rex's ear, "Shut up. You want to get us dropped into the vacuum of space? Let me do my job! there will be time for outrage and screaming later."

Rex blinks several times, his fury apparent, but he decides to sit - looking somewhat like an obstinate hatchling who didn't get his own way.

Dactyl continues, "King Kakarot, please allow me to introduce myself! Terrance Dactyl III Esquire, former chairman of the Tyranno Senate. Forgive my liege as he is not well versed in the political arena."

Dactyl puts on a pair of wireframe glasses that somehow fit a Pteranodon then pulls out a digital tablet of sorts, "Now, I see you've already issued your terms ... and if I may ask, by what right do you make these demands on a modern world planet? We are not simple third world creatures, we have our own technological advancements, our own political structure, our own independance."

Dactyl takes off his glasses and smiles courtly, "WHat I am saying is that you're not simply trying to stamp out a bunch of local savages. Reptilon is in the middle of it's first off planet expansion. To expect us to just roll over and allow you to just come rule us is ... well, no offense, laughable at best. What do you have to offer us aside from our lives?"

Brachio feels the eyes on him and smiles cruelly, running a claw down the two severed Saiyan tails that hang from his shoulder, making SURE everyone sees his precious trophies from the battle of Freeport.

Raditz (486) has posed:
Raditz pauses for a moment as he notices the one tall pale dude, and arches an eyebrow, the gears turning in his head as he realizes who it is, before turning his attention back to the discussion at hand, mostly observing. "Huh, so that's Dracula's normal look... Heh." Clenching his fists a bit. So many people to fight, but not the time or the place. So disappointing.

Taylita (180) has posed:
Taylita takes a seat, but like several of the others she does not take any of the food. She may not be throwing glares around, but she is not happy with a few of the people here. Mostly Vegeta and Kakarot. She remains calm and respectful even as Kakarot offers his terms. They aren't even terms for peace, really. They are terms for surrender that he is dictating to a world over which he has no authority.

With nothing to really add at this point, Taylita just looks around at the delegates. She spots Brachio, and her expression changes to a frown. She may not particularly like saiyans on the whole, but that is just gross. Like wearing fingers or ears. It is a savage, taunting display that, if she were like Vegeta, would earn Brachio a ki blast to the face.

Kakarot (723) has posed:
Tony is given the same honors everyone else is. For once, it might be the safest place in the general area.

"If it wasn't a soverign world we wouldn't be having this discussion, Colonel." Kakarot replies simply. "Conquest is what we do. We are a race of warriors, and there are a lot of demands on our people because of that. We can use that power to protect things or destroy things. I don't mind protecting things when there is a point, but..." Kakarot shrugs. "Having a lot of power and nothing to do with it is a recipe for disaster, as you well know. It's part of the reason why our people were pushed to the brink of destruction by Frieza in the first place. He was going to just use us until we were too dangerous, and then obliterate us. Our own nature kept us in a position where he could get away with it."

He taps on the chair for a moment, and considers the words of Dracula and Serori. "So the Confederacy has personal interests in Reptilon, eh? The vast, multidimensional army." He laughs. "You know, it feels like you've already made the same deal with him before I did. Is that why you're stepping in?"

Kakarot looks between Rex with the Confederates, and Allo with the Union. "Interesting. but it doesn't look like everyone agrees..." There is a chirp from his Scouter as he looks over the Union group, and he settles on Tony. "You, Major Tony Stark. I like you. You look like you can enjoy yourself. Tell me, does your Union have a horse in this race? It sounds like at least a chunk of the... good people of Reptilon have decided that you might be a better choice." He looks to Allo, and gestures. "See? He even sounds like a reasonable politician."

But then Rex gets indignant. "Genghis Rex, King of Reptilon. You are the king, right? I'm not like Vegeta. I don't expect everyone to know what I'm capable of and what we can do. But I'm pretty sure Colonel Serori has some idea, which is why we're even talking now. If it wasn't for the Confederacy and Union interference, we'd already be neck deep into conquering your planet. You should probably examine the details on that deal you made, King Rex, and show some appreciation."

Terrence Dactyl II speaks, and Kakarot arches an eyebrow at the assertions made. He ponders this for a moment, looking very serious as he does so.

He's also eating the bone he was gesturing with like it was pocky.

"You make some good assertions. However, I'm going to respond with a question of my own." He smiles, that Goku-like grin almost disturbing in its similarities. "What right do you have to your planet to begin with? You lived there? That doesn't make a strong claim on anything. The only claim anyone can have to anything is if they are strong enough to keep it. I know there are many forms of strength. Strength of body, strength of mine. Strength of technology, economics, and politics. Your world is riddled with thousands of Reptilonians who understand this in their guts, in their hearts, even if they don't admit it. I see it when they fight back for their land. I see it even in that smirk the big guy over there has when he's showing off those tails. He knows that's a statement of /power/ to walk into my court displaying body parts of my people like trophies. I can respect that."

He straightens in his chair and leans forward. "The question isn't what right do I have to take it, Mr. Dactyl the Third. The question is, what right do you have to /keep/ it?"

He lets that hang in the air for a few moments, and then gestures. "You're being offered your lives and the ability to share in an established interplanetary organization that will protect you and allow you to continue more or less as you were, just with some modifications. I assume you were listening to the pros of the arrangement, right?"

Serori (37) has posed:
Serori doesn't say anything to Kakarot; instead, she touches the Field Marshal's hand to get his attention, and leans toward him to whisper something private and urgent. Like anyone possessing warrior instinct, she keeps her eyes on the biggest threat in the room: in this case, even as she speaks to Dracula, she doesn't look away from Kakarot.

Vegeta (663) has posed:
"Philosophy is the primary tool used by a treacherous tongue. Making them believe that by swearing fealty to you, they'll somehow benefit. This is why your Neo-Saiyans are -weak-!" Vegeta slams his fist against the table, leaning forward. "Low class scum like you, trying to win them over with half-truths and sugar coated words. The fact that I don't blow up that dinosaur with the tails is nothing more than a courteous apology for the level of Saiyan that they're currently being subjected to."

He suddenly points at Ghenghis Rex. "You would intimidate and -trick- his people rather than treat them like the honorable warrior beasts that they are! What you've done to my people is nothing short of disgusting, you treasonous bastard!"

Tony Stark (301) has posed:
Stark arches an eyebrow as the leader of the vast conquering army of monkey men declares that he 'likes' him. Well, he DOES have a pretty charming personality. He clears his throat. "The Union has no formal ties to Reptilon. Until very recently, our only interaction with ANY of its people was the occassional... disagreement," he gives Rex a disdainful glance, "with Genghis Rex and his immediate group." His eyes flick back to Kakarot. "Since we've been approached by other citizens of that world," a nod to Allo and the other Dinosaucers, "about a possible alliance, of course we have an interest in events going forward." He picks up his drink, half lifts it to his mouth, and adds, "But only an interest, at this point," before sipping from it. He's not committing to anything until more cards are on the table.

Raditz (486) has posed:
Raditz just watches. His eyes are on Kakarot, even though he's listening to all this chatter. Good thing he's keeping this all recorded for review. He'll get to know this version of Kakarot when the time comes.

Kakarot (723) has posed:
Kakarot listens to the insults and threats spit at him by Vegeta, and folds his hands. "So, were I a 'proper' Saiyan Warrior, Vegeta, I would have simply continued fighting? Killed them all, perhaps? Maybe destroyed their planet in a glorious wave of carnage and death? Is that what you want?" He asks, pleasantly.

Genghis Rex (114) has posed:
Terrible Dactyl smirks, "You've done this before. We've BOTH done this before, King Kakarot and as you know, when there is a conquering, nothing is set in stone. Minds change, agreements carved in stone quickly become an afterthought. You're offering slavery to a race that won't tolerate it. I don't know who this Frieza is, but it sounds like your people had a similar agreement with him ... and where is he now?"

Dactyl pauses, "He is an afterthought. Reptilon is one of the oldest civilizations in the multiverse, going back OVER 100 million years. You ask me what claim we have on our world? If just living here makes this our world and length of time is taken into consideration, then by all rights this is OUR universe as we have been here and thriving longer than any living being in this quadrant of the galaxy."

"Now, we're not asking YOU to get out of our galaxy are we? That would be arrogant and silly. But I ask you, is it not arrogant and silly to try to extract or enslave a people who've been in control of their own destiny longer than your species has existed?"

"Words are all you offer Reptilon. Words and assurances that are as fleeting as a gust of wind. It doesn't matter if we roll over for you today and sign our lives away, it is the PEOPLE of Reptilon that you are trying to subjugate and those people will not stand for it no matter what their leaders say."

"You are in a no win situation, Saiyan King and you have no idea what WE are capable of, whereas WE call some of your brethren our allies. Can you REALLY risk your people against an unknown threat that might understand you better than you understand yourselves?"

Tony Stark (301) has posed:
Tony listens quietly as Dactyl speaks, and at the end of it he offers the lawyerdactyl a nod of respect, and glances back to Kakarot to observe his response. "He has a point or three there, your Kingliness."

Genghis Rex (114) has posed:
Brachio lowers his head and pulls the saiyan tails from his shoulder, stuffing them uncerimoniously into his pocket.

Taylita (180) has posed:
Taylita listens to Kakarot, and while his argument is logical at least, she sees a problem with it. "So...you and your empire are a virus. Is that it?" she says calmly. "You attack something because you can, you spread until it can no longer maintain you, then you attack something else. The problem with your plan, and your empire, is that it has no balance. Either one day someone will destroy you, or you will destroy everything and eventually self-destruct. Those seem like the two options your empire has."

Taylita leans back in her chair, looking at Kakarot. "Not to mention the usual problems a growing empire faces. Increasing numbers of enemies who wish your destruction, decreasing supplies due to war efforts that may or may not be paying off. If you ask me, you saiyans should stop expanding outward, and just focus on what you have. I keep hearing you and Vegeta say that without wars our people will wither, but I am here as a testament to how strong we can be without war. Without destruction. Without hatred. And if either you or Vegeta could see passed your pride, you would see that it isn't the war that makes us strong. It is our training, and our drive to challenge ourselves. Both of which can be satisfied without planet-shattering conflicts. Or even city-shattering conflicts."

"I was trained in a monastary by monks who had never and probably would never fight in their lives, yet they were strong enough to train me, and their training made me strong enough to stop the PTO scouts that came to that world, and strong enough to face anyone in this room." Taylita leans forward in her chair, then smirks lightly. "You asked me why I fight. I fight so that someday fighting in wars will not be necessary. So that when the Freizas of the Multiverse show their face, they will be stomped on."

Serori (37) has posed:
Serori's wide eyes fix on Vegeta. Tension sets into her jaw, and she feels prompted to speak again.

"Prince Vegeta speaks on behalf of an empire which I command with equal authority. His opinions are not shared by the Confederacy at large."

She stops to weigh the room before she continues. "As queen, I am duty-bound to protect and strengthen my empire, and under most circumstances I would support Prince Vegeta without question; however, as Colonel, I am duty-bound to further the Confederacy's interests. I am aware of the value your friendship, and that is why I am here to seek it."

Allo (724) has posed:
Allo raises an eye ridge a bit when Kakarot takes Terrible Dactyl's argument and flips it in reverse. That is a response he has not seen often despite all of the governmental debates and practices he's had to endure due to his position.

Brontothunder clenches his fists hard enough to can hear knuckles crack. Though it's more audible when his tail lashes and thumps against the back of several chairs due to its length. "He's just turning everything back at us! And smilin' like a jerk the entire time. I oughta wipe it off his fac--"

Allo holds out an arm to keep his second in command at bay. "Brontothunder, this is diplomatic gathering remember." The sauropod grinds his teeth a bit, but stands down. Clearly out of respect for his commander, because there is no way Allo would be able to detain the stronger saurian physically.

"He does have a point, however." Allo turns his attention back to Kakarot, folding his arms behind his back once he's sure Bronto isn't going to do something brash. "You've only thrown the same argument back at us from a different perspective, trying to make is sound as if we have no right to our own world simply because someone else wants it. Which is frankly a rediculous claim in its own right."

He shakes his head a bit. "If you think our kind are not willing to fight for our world, you are sadly mistaken. But that does not mean it has to come to such measures that would only cause more loss and turmoil to those involved." He unfolds his arms to hold them out at his sides. "Surely there is a solution to this matter other than having to resort to two unfavorable extremes."

Allo actually pauses to let Terrible Dactyl speak. Because unlike his boss, TD actually knows how to keep a cool head and use his words instead of just his voice.

"You are far from the first or the last otherworldly threat we have dealth with," Allo speaks again once Terrible is done. "Enough times to know that no good for any side involved will come from an outright conflict, regardless of how much your people may be eager for a fight." Despite his otherwise neutral demeanor, there is a certain harshness in the way Allo's eyes narrow at Kakarot. The scrutinizing gaze of a leader that has been in this position more times than he wants to count, trying to what could be disasterous to those he tries to protect.

"Do not mistake our attempt at making peaceful resolution as an unwillingness to fight instead of the attempt to avoid needless farther shedding of blood that it is."

Dracula Vlad Tepes (83) has posed:
Dracula's expression remains even and restrained as Kakarot speaks, a poker face practiced through far too many discussions both as a human and not. When Serori gets his attention, she's only given a quick glance from ember-like eyes before his gaze returns to Kakarot and he leans in to hear what she says. Once that's done, he straightens up again, his expression still unchanged as he waits for a few moments to speak, and for others to make their own points.

And when he does, there's that faint, assured smile again. "King Kakarot, if you'll forgive me...this is all well and good, but if we can return to the subject of the Confederacy for a moment? Genghis Rex's arrangements are his to state if he wishes; let us consider, however, /why/ he may have made any arrangements that he did. You say that you want a /purpose/ for all the power you wield, a direction to push it in, a goal to exercise its might. Now, yes, you can carry it out as much as you like, letting world after world fall before you, for what single world could possibly stand before you? But now, I believe, you've run into a difficulty."

Dracula's eyes narrow faintly, almost thoughtfully. "For you see, King Kakarot, things are...different. Now, so many different worlds can respond to one another within moments. Forces are brought to bear one after another, building upon each other until a single threat is squashed. Your Neo-Saiyans are mighty indeed, and on their own they likely could have conquered Reptilon swiftly, but look at what happened." His arm briefly sweeps to those involved in the conflict and present: Rex, Vegeta, Serori, Allo. "Let us say we walk away from this in the worst case. You continue to assault Reptilon. You have, therefore, drawn the retaliation of at least one superfaction. The Confederacy will bring its unparalleled and unpredictable power to bear against the Neo-Saiyans, and I would like you to consider how that would likely turn out. A hundred forces equal to your own..."

His hand settles on the table again. "But, if you chose to join the Confederacy, you would not only have your broad choice of worlds to bring under your power - Reptilon excluded, of course - but you would have that same massive force behind you in your efforts. The Union is replete with worlds to be conquered, planets to be claimed. We do so rather frequently, in fact. Why would you choose a single struggle when you can magnify your might a hundredfold and carry it out as far and wide as you see fit, when the restrictions far outweigh the possibilities ahead of you?"

Tony Stark (301) has posed:
Tony Stark clears his throat. "Uh, point of fact here. The Union is NOT a farming ground for Confederate conquest." He gives Dracula a hard look.

Vegeta (663) has posed:
"A -proper- Saiyan ruler would not sugar coat and make it appear as if it's some pleasant thing. You are taking over a civilization, don't insult their intelligence by suggesting otherwise, or like it's for their own good. You are doing it for -your- benefit, and for -your- people." Vegeta grabs some meat on a bone to take a large bite out of it, perhaps forgetting that he was going to refuse food in protest. "You do not invite them for dinner under the pretense that this is some courtesy. This is not a courtesy, this is taking over a world. You announce your terms to their leaders, and if they truly won't accept, move on and come back later. Show them that it isn't worth the cost of constant battle, but that you -are- capable of coming back whenever you please to do so."

He continues to chomp down on his meat, though he does so -angrily-. "That one, the red haired Saiyan woman, Taylita. Her vision of the Saiyan Empire is not something where we simply mindlessly slaughter civilians. Of course she would rather we not dominate at all, but I'm working on a compromise. Either way, she's right in that there is no honor in this. No honor in threatening to destroy everything that they are and taking them by force. They send their soldiers, we put our military forces against each other, and then eventually, -eventually- they will see reason. But I will not insult them by lying and sugar coating and saying it's for the best. They have to -know- what this is, that this is domination and they have been defeated. You have not defeated them, and that makes this, well..."

He motions his piece of meat toward Kakarot. "Insulting to their entire species. Presuming that you've already won. I believe that I could kill people all the time, but until I've actually defeated them, I don't act as if I have already. That is your problem regardless of what world you're from, you treat it all like you're some moronic clown who's already won, any fight you've ever been in. That is why Frieza killed you. I don't know, perhaps there is an alternative to world conquering, my empire isn't fully formed yet, I haven't figured out exactly how I'm going to run it. But I will say this, I realized a long time ago that I no longer wanted to be Frieza, and it's made me question everything that I am."

Serori (37) has posed:
/My/ empire. How /I'm/ going to run it.

He's got no regard or respect for her whatsoever.

Serori stands up from her seat with a snarl in her throat she only /just/ manages to contain. Her grip threatens to dent the table's edge. She looks at Vegeta with confusion and anger on her face.

And it's not even Kakarot's doing.

Well, she did say she was a shitty politician...

Tony Stark (301) has posed:
Tony Stark looks between Serori and Vegeta, his eyes widening a bit at the sudden tension following the little man's speech. Oh boy, this may be about to get good.

Or really, really bad. Well, that IS why he has his armor standing at attention right behind him. But man, this may be the easiest diplomatic mission he's ever taken on. He doesn't have to do anything. The Feds are shooting themselves in the feet right and left!

Kakarot (723) has posed:
Kakarot then listens to Tony's response, nodding to him. "Interesting. Very interesting."

However, Dactyl then takes center stage with a massive rebuttal. Kakarot listens to it, and stands, clapping. "Bravo, Mister Dactyl the Third. Excellent reply. As Major Stark notes, you have several pretty good points there."

He then turns, spreading his hands. "Allow me to reply with the fact that despite my desire to conquer you, we are in fact not actually doing so at the moment. We're in a ceasefire that was requested by the very forces that you proclaim that we have no chance against. I believe that remains to be seen, but that is something outside the scope of this discussion."

He paces back and forth. "What you see here is only the vanguard. It was a beach head attack group. What you do not see behind the doors and walls of this ship are the millions of beings, of other alien species who work with us hand in hand and enjoy the very protection that we have offered you."

He taps on the table, then, looking up at the pterodactyl. "We're here to talk. Diplomacy is all about words. What could I offer you besides that? Or are you busy listening to the squalling child in the back who claims I am a traitor for helping to pull my people of of certain doom and barbarism?"

He sighs. "The fact of the matter is, you Reptilonians cannot even decide who leads /you/, let alone which of you truly speaks for it. I spent some time looking at how your society works, and it seems you're under a bit of a civil war." He looks meaningfully at Allo, and then Rex. "One side is working to gain an alliance with the Union, and the other has a deal with the Confederacy. It looks to /me/ like I'm the least of your problems, considering you are within arms-length of becoming just another front in a war not just between planets, but infinite universes."

He turns away, gesturing. "By the time you both are done, there might not even be anything left to conquer." He looks over his shoulder back to Dactyl. "If you ask me, my choices are the most merciful one."

Taylita begins condeming Kakarot, and he buffs his nails. "Funny you should ask that. Isn't that basically what the Union does, too? I mean, wtrip away all the hugs and happiness and self-righteousness, and when you get down to it that's what it is: Just another giant empire, always expanding. Do you think massive social changes happen quickly? Look at what we've accomplished just under my father, Bardock. We've become more disciplined, more unified. We're becoming greater than we have ever been. And now I am poised to continue the trend. Maybe one day, the Saiyan Empire will have everything it needs, but that time is not now. If you theoretically challenged me for rule, killed me, and took over with a naive attitude like that, the Empire would shatter and our people would annihilate each other in civil war. Do not judge me because /one Saiyan/ managed to learn the way you did. The Empire is not one Saiyan."

Allo then gives his piece, and he nods, picking up a cluster of grapes and eating the entire bunch in one go, stems and all. After he's done chewing, he replies, "My point is that 'rights' only exist when you are strong enough to enforce them. I am the King of my people because I am the strongest member of my people in every way. Not because of lineage, like some might claim." He sits back down in his chair. "But it's your willingness to fight that earns respect. Mister Dactyl the Third has a point in that there are words here, but words will lead to actions. I established what I wanted, and now you're telling me why I shouldn't continue trying to kill people to get it. You're all making some pretty good arguments. Just as Colonel Serori says, I also have a responsibility for my empire, and that means I am not going to waste the lives of my people needlessly. Perhaps there can be an option available that gives everyone what they want."

Kakarot (723) has posed:
And Kakarot gestures to the Field Marshal. "And there you have it. There is the crux of the matter, and the actual important part of this conversation. Reptilon, I would fight. But a multidimensional battle force of unknown size or number? That is power. That is measurable in a way that words can't convey."

He leans to one side and plants his head on a fist. "But there's a lot of options on the table. Genghis might not remain King of his people if the Union forces present back their chosen leader." He looks over to Allo. "That's you, right? Are you going to be the guy in charge?" He pauses. "I could simply just decide to throw in with their forces and create an agreement that way. Allo would rule his people undisputed, and I could make an agreement with /him/ since he seems like he's a more reasonable type."

He leans back over onto the other fist and looks over to the Confederacy. "On the other hand, my experience with Colonel Serori does tell me that the Confederacy would probably be more accepting of my people and my rulership."

And then Vegeta makes his claim, calling him out and interpreting his actions. "The Reptilonians have already admitted it's not them that I'm really fighting, Vegeta, but their multiversal military backing. This much was proven in our initial attacks. I am having this discussion because /your Queen/ demanded it. I respect /your Queen/ more than you do, apparently. Is that how you treat everything and everyone you deal with, Prince? If that is the case, it is no wonder my father had to kill the lot of you in order to save our people. If you're questioning everything you are, you're a long way from finding some answers, Prince. And until you figure them out, that's all you will /ever/ be. A Prince who should be serving a Queen, which would be far better for our people."

Genghis Rex (114) has posed:
Terrible Dactyl starts to talk, but Rex snaps his beak shut. "Words! Words! Words! I AM SO SICK AND TIRED OF EVERYONE'S WORDS!"

Rex flips the table he sitting at over, seething with rage, "I SEE WHAT IS GOING ON HERE AND I WILL HAVE NONE OF IT!"

Rex points at Serori, "I SEE WHAT >YOU< ARE DOING!"

He Glares at Vegeta, "AND I AM NOT BLIND YOU YOU EITHER, >VEGETA<!"

He roars, "What we are discussing here is EXTINCTION!"

He glares at Serori, "You don't want to see you're people die!"

He glares at Vegeta, "You just want to assume these warriors and expand your fledgling EMPIRE."

He turns his ragefilled glare on Kakarot, "AND YOU! YOU ARE JUST A SADISTIC FUCK WHO THINKS HE'S ENTITLED TO WHATEVER AMUSE HIM AT THE MOMENT"

"You ALL threaten to do this at the expense of MY people?!?! YOU WILL TAKE NOTHING FROM ME!"

Rex stab a finger at Allo, ">HE< couldn't take it! What makes you think >ANY< OF YOU CAN!?!?"

Brachio reaches for Rex and pulls him close, "NO! LET GO OF ME! LET ME GO! I WILL END THIS NOW! MY WAY!"

Styraco pulls out a syring and sticks Rex in the neck, "No ... no ... why ... I'll them him ... appaarrrttt ..."

Rex passes out.

Terrible Dactyl shakes his head, looking appalled at Rex's outburst. He has no words.

Brachio hands the unconscious Tyranno off to Ankylo and takes up a defensive position, "Heh ... say whatever you want about the Bossasaur, he got passion!"

Vegeta (663) has posed:
"I've had -enough- of this!" Vegeta suddenly stands, tossing the bone with deadly force toward Kakarot's head. "I refuse to sit here and listen to you justify the slaughter of my entire family, including myself, as a mere -child-. I absolutely -refuse-! I may be arrogant, I may be full of pride, but I have learned not to be so self-assured as to assume that everyone around me is wrong, to assume that I'm the smartest person in the room. You are a child playing games on the coattails of a murderous traitor! You have no intention of truly growing our people, you have no intent of even trying to listen to what different Saiyans might think, or what their ideas of our people might be."

He turns around, pulling his cape over his shoulder as he begins to walk out. "You truly -are- nothing more than a dictator. The only difference between your father and my father was that my father at least understood honor. Sit here, have your negotiations. But know this, I -will- have justice, and I will not allow you to dictate my people into ruin. You would do well to talk to Taylita before I rip your heart out."

He steps from the door, and just adds a angry, "Now I'll remove myself from your sight, -King-."

Tony Stark (301) has posed:
Tony Stark's mouth drops open, even as bits of food go flying past him and a piece of unidentified meat plops onto his immaculate suit. That's it, he has no words, he can only stare at Genghis Rex, the guy who stole the freaking Hulk, the guy who killed the guildmaster of Izzet... having a complete fucking meltdown. He manages to flick a glance toward Terry, the one Tyranno he'd ever had any kind of rapport with, but he seems to be just as speechless.

Finally, after a long and incredibly uncomfortable silence, he picks his jaw up off the floor and undertones into his codec, "--Jarvis I think we're done here." In unison, the suits behind him power up to combat readiness with a faintly audible whine, and Stark himself hastens to rise from his chair.

Serori (37) has posed:
Serori returns to her seat as if reluctant. There is a petulant and frustrated quality to her frown before it smooths away, leaving behind only a shallow wrinkle between the elegant sweep of her narrow black eyebrows. After she takes another slow breath, and considers Kakarot's words, she's prepared to answer him --

-- but Genghis Rex cuts her off. He also flips the table.

Serori turns her head to regard the Tyranno King, her expression unchanging save for a slight widening of her eyes. It takes her a moment to find her thoughts, though; she must be rattled.

Fortunately, she's got food scraps to brush off her armor while she struggles to organize her thoughts.

"Yes, Terrible Dactyl. I am seeking to expand the Saiyan Empire. I am working each day to improve not only myself, but my people, and as I said -- the Confederacy, too. Both causes I champion would be strengthened by an alliance with King Kakarot and /his/ Neo-Saiyan Empire, but I will not accept him at the expense of more Reptilonian life; that's why we're here...to determine if a compromise can be brokered."

Serori's dark gaze slides back to the empty door Vegeta's taken himself through; she watches it for another long moment, before addressing Kakarot again. "Prince Vegeta found his empire through luck, and the willingness to teach those who'd refuse to be taught. He found a version of Planet Vegeta on the brink of destruction. He took the saiyans there -- little more than barbarians -- and forged them all, himself, into high-class warriors. He offered this fledgling empire to me as a gift, and only asked that I dedicate myself to its rule and care."

"So you can see, I do feel indebted to him in some respects. Not enough to kowtow to his every desire, of course, and never enough to let his foolishness undermine my role and authority, but I do owe him something." Sighing, she shakes her head; then, she meets Kakarot's eyes, direct and hard.

"Become our ally, Kakarot, or I'll deliver your head to Vegeta myself. Ally, or enemy -- it's your decision to make."

Dracula Vlad Tepes (83) has posed:
The people around him seethe and glare and snap, and Dracula just remains silent and calm, listening to Kakarot and preparing to offer his own counterpoint. His breathing comes evenly, slowly, patience maintained through the rising tensions in the room even as they threaten to reach a boiling point - or maybe they're already there. Once Kakarot is finished, Dracula seems about ready to respond...

    ...right before things explode.

There is suddenly not a table for him to be resting his hands on, and the the air grows thick with fury from both Rex and Vegeta. Both of them take care of themselves soon enough, as Rex is swiftly tranquilized and Vegeta storms out of the room, but Dracula is left sitting there in silence for a moment. Soon, he rises, brushing off his pristine robes with a brief swish of his hands. His shoulders roll, his arms fold over his chest, and at last he looks toward Kakarot again. His expression is still composed, his voice is still even, but deep in those eyes is an inferno in chains.

"Forgive them," he says briefly, mostly lip service to address his subordinates before he continues himself. "That said, Kakarot, you are presented with two solid options, and by this point it is your decision to make. We have presented to you opportunities, resources, concessions, for the betterment of your people and our own. It is a fine tactic in negotiation to speak on and on of your thoughts and decisions, but I believe we have come to the point where there is no more room to talk. If you choose to ally with the Union, I wish you luck; I doubt they will be nearly as accepting as we are. If you choose to ally with us, you have my promise that your alliance will be as smooth and beneficial as possible."

He pauses for a moment, and his next words are spoken clearly, firmly, and concisely. He wants to ensure that Kakarot not only hears them, but finds every one burned into his thoughts. "And if you choose to go against us all, and stop this ceasefire to progress in your war, then you will find a tireless and eager force pressing on you until your fangs are broken and your claws snapped. It is your answer to give, and I wait for it."

Serori (37) has posed:
Serori looks up at the Field Marshal. Pride swells in her heart, and for once, she's left a little like her usual smirking self. Of course, the smirk is gone whenever she returns her attention to Kakarot. She doesn't want to seem to be taunting him.

Allo (724) has posed:
Allo folds his arms as Kakarot makes his responses. As much as he dislikes the position the Neo-Saiyan ruler is taking in the matter, he has to give him some credit for actually going through with this matter and trying to do more than just threaten them. Even if he gets the feeling actually going through with anything was never in the plan to begin with. Kakarat was mostly humoring them. Possibly trying to demoralize them as well.

... And there Rex goes. That was a volcanic eruption just waiting to happen, true to form even for the 'improved' Genghis Rex.

It's a familiar enough outrage that the Dinosaucers as a group just take two steps back to avoid the table flipping and food being flung. Except for Stego, who was sitting down with his feet on the table, and thus gets flipped over when the table goes. "Waah!" And a plate of something splats on his face. Stego licks some of it off his snout as he starts to get up. "... Not half bad, actually."

With practiced patience Allo just waits for Hurricane Tyranno to end, and Rex gets dragged out by the rest of his crew. Tch. That outburst might put a cramp in the assistance coming from his (possibly former now) allies. "I'm sorry this brought out some of the worst in Genghis Rex. For whatever foibles he may have, he does hold a considerable concern for his people." Pause. "Even if he can't yet quite grasp that we are not as different as some would like to think."

This could of gone better... Or could it? Was a peaceful negotiation ever possible? The only small relief from the matter is, for once, Allo is pretty sure it wasn't his fault it failed.

A slow sigh, a shake of his head, and then he turns his attention back to Kakarot. "I won't lie and try to deny the truth in some of what you've said. But if you believe that the discordance between our own kind is going to make us an easy target, you're the one that may be biting off more than you can chew. Sadly, I don't think there is anything else to be accomplished here."

A moment to turn and nod to Stark. "Thank you for coming, Major. We'll be touch with your compatriots." Then turns to the Confederate side of the gather. "And yours as well, if you are willing to look past Rex's... passionate outburst."

With that Allo turns from what had been a laiden table, motioning for the other Dinosaucers to follow him. Normally he wouldn't be the one to walk away first (and technically wasn't if you count Rex's being carried out) but, for as much as he wanted a better resolution to the matter, even Allo realizes that isn't going to come to fruitition.

Maybe he knew it wouldn't work from the start. But that didn't mean he shouldn't try.

As the group leaves though he can be briefly heard telling the others to 'start the backup plans', getting a grim snort out of Tricero and a faintly almost eager sounding affirmation from Brontothunder.

And just because he had hope it would work doesn't mean he didn't plan for it failing, either.

Taylita (180) has posed:
Vegeta agreed with her, at least somewhat. Taylita is not sure how she feels about that. And Kakarot has turned her argument back around on her. Then...Rex flips the table. Taylita blinks, just watching the food that comes flying toward her. Then, she moves. No doubt Tony can protect himself, but she moves to cover him anyway, in case that table comes down atop them.

Once the table is no longer a threat, and she is no doubt covered in foodstuffs, Taylita just laughs to herself. Rex's outburst sounds about right to her. And Vegeta keeps spouting about honor, which he may believe. She isn't sure with him, she just knows he is unstable and not to be trusted. With no one here seeming to be interested in reason anymore, she agrees with Tony that the meeting is over.

With nothing much to say, and both Serori and Vegeta promising that Kakarot will die if he refuses them, Taylita can only think of one thing to add. "Oh, and, the Union -does- have interest in Reptillion. So...you know, if you do continue this pointless attack of yours, you won't have just the Confederacy coming after you. And just remember, the Confederacy, with all its power and resources, has been unable to defeat the Union. Show that you are as wise as you are pretending to be and just align yourself with the Confederacy already. Because as I see it, those are your only options. Be destroyed, or align with the Confederacy and survive until Vegeta finds a way to kill you."

"As for the Union, we do not conquer or destroy. We accept those who wish to join us. I agree that the war between the Union and Confederacy is just about as pointless as the war you are waging on Reptillion, but of the two, the Union does not allow warmongers to simply run amok and does not support genocidal dictators who claim noble goals but show no actual tendency toward those goals. To me, it seems like you just like destruction, or at the least tolerate it and do not try to curb it in your people. So, forgive me if I do not agree that your empire is like the Union."

Kakarot (723) has posed:
Rex goes full tily, flipping the table. The massive tables is sent flying up into the air, food going everywhere.

As Rex makes his sgreaming threats and is dragged off, Kakarot holds out a hand. The edge of the flipping table lands in it, and it stops. With a swivel of his hand, the massive furniture is righted, and set down where it belongs. Toma zips around the room, catching what food he can and putting it back on the table. Zuki and Gaplan just sit there, one smirkier than the other.

There is a moment of silence, and then Kakarot nods. "I think it's clear that we've all said basically everything of note. I've decided that I'm going to continue the ceasefire, and withdraw forces from Reptilon pending negotiations with the Union and Confederacy as to which side I would be interested in continuing relations with. These meetings will be held with whatever delegates you wish to send to me /privately/. I will also meet with those of Reptilon, of course. There are many things I am sure they will want to talk with me about in the event that we have /peace/ instead of war. I am not interested in sending my people to die pointlessly."

His eyes flick to Taylita. "Thank goodness that I do not have to depend on you to make that decision. If you don't like how I run my empire, you're welcome to try to take it from me anytime. Just remember, though... THAT challenge remains to the death, Saiyan."

He then looks over to Serori. "You have your obligations, and I have mine, Colonel. We will see who is more true to them in the end."

Serori (37) has posed:
Serori stands up in a much more controlled and stately manner than the previous time she'd fled her seat. The black cape trailing from her shoulders is swept back, and another fleck of food brushed from her armor with the balled-up end of her napkin. Serori drops the napkin back onto the table, the gesture signifying the end of her interest in both the meal -- which she'd hardly touched -- /and/ the conversation.

Kakarot's eyes are met again. "I understand." Serori's fist touches her left shoulder in a salute, and she bows slightly at the waist, too. "You have my gratitude for your time, King Kakarot. I hope we may reach an agreement which enriches all of us...even Reptilon." Serori's eyes hold the King's as she straightens up.

To the Field Marshal: "I'll be returning to Castlevania after I've had time to see to a few other concerns. We can talk there?"

Assuming she gets his assent, Serori leaves the meeting room, and eventually Kakarot's ship, her mind still stormy, her mood unsettled.

Very little had been gained here.

Tony Stark (301) has posed:
Tony holds up a finger, about to interject into Taylita's rant, but all he manages is an awkward grimace, which turns into a wince of resignation and a muttered, "Oh boy this is awful," as she all but declares war on the giant invading army. Finally, he puts a hand on her arm. "That... could have been stated more diplomatically, but yes, thank you, Lita for those... interesting comments. Yes. Threatening to destroy the guy with the army, always a great idea." The last time he tried it he got thrown out of his own building. From ninety floors up. "We're going now."

Not that he disagrees with her, really. He likes Allo and wants to help his faction, at least. And he can't really get behind the subjugation of a planet anyway, even if he really can't stand some of its inhabitants. But man, it was so not his aim tonight to get the Union overtly entangled in this conflict.

Fortunately, Kakarot of all people offers a way out. "...we'll be in touch," he agrees tersely, and makes as dignified a retreat from this travesty as he can.

Dracula Vlad Tepes (83) has posed:
Kakarot's decision is voiced, and Dracula offers a slight, acknowledging nod of his head. The dragon's fire seems to die down to a low simmer, and back he goes to the polite, courteous face he had at the beginning. "Very well, King Kakarot. We will arrange which delegates for the Confederacy will meet with you. I thank you, again, for your time...and apologize for the mess."

His back turns to Kakarot with a swirl of his cape of blood and darkness, and his expression hardens against an unseen thought. When Serori addresses him, he only offers a silent, but welcome nod in assent, and then he's off himself, departing the ship to return to the dark halls of Castlevania in ponderous solitude.

Taylita (180) has posed:
Taylita blinks as Tony says that. "Hey, I didn't threaten anyone. I was just stating the facts!" she argues as she follows Tony out. When she hears Kakarot's response to her, Taylita turns her head toward him. She looks like she is going to say something, but she just shakes her head and continues toward the door. "...no wonder our species got wiped out in most universes..." she mutters to herself as she exits.

Allo (724) has posed:
Allo pauses in getting his group together to leave when Kakarot speaks up... and despite the way things went is willing to continue the ceasefire for the time being.

Interesting turn of events there. But one that hopefully can still be made benefitial.

"Very well, contact us when you are ready to speak again, Kakarot. Good evening."
