Cast of Characters: Maya, 32, Arthur Lowell, 37, 83, 114, 240, 270, 316, 587, 593

Serori (37) has posed:
The scene is set for a fucking good time, got it?

Castlevania comes with its own Halloween decorations, but as the room description suggests, some more traditional and expected elements have been thrown into the mix. Lord Olrox's dining table has been overtaken by a glorious buffet, and not far from there stands a black-felted poker table, where Serori is sitting and shuffling the cards. Varied chips are stacked up at each seat, each mountain totaling ten thousand credits.

Serori's got the Vegas bunny girl thing going on, but she's definitely out-sparkled by the skeletons toting around serving trays. Those have been done up in spangly beaded flapper dresses, the likes of which reflect the green candlelight in shiny flashes. They've got those little tiaras on, too. You know the kind.

Guests will descend into the room via a magical floating platform.

Taylor Hebert (587) has posed:
Skitter is here...dressed as Skitter! It's a perfectly good costume. Once Skitter gets over the shock of descending via maaaaagic, she just..decides to stand and look around. Animate skeletons is new to her.

And then she sees the delicious food, but has yet to figure out a way to eat it. She might end up having to remove her mask...they're all offworlders, hopefully it wouldn't be harmful, but that's a worst case scenario.

Though she does speak to Serori. "...Hey. That's...a lot of food."

Courier Six (32) has posed:
Johnathan Tallbranch is here today, dressed as a Native American! YES! GOD BLESS AMERICA!
Jeans, a brightly colored floral print Hawaiian Shirt, and a big floppy Texas Cowboy hat! He's also carrying a cooler filled with clanking bottles. A wave over at Serori and a wolf-whistle, before he hoists the Booze Locker off to a waiting PRETTY SKELELINGTON. "Howdy ya'll I'm Hank Bigmeat and HOOOOO DOGGY I AM READY FOR MONEY YEEEEHAWWW."

You've got to sell the look, man.

Sarah (316) has posed:
Sarah was invited to this nonsense, so Sarah's arrived. Maybe her costume's so good it won't even be recognisable as her in the least. Why wear a costume when you have command over the illusory arts?

...Except she doesn't wear a costume tonight, because Harmonia doesn't celebrate that nonsense. So you get plain ol' Sarah. Sad tuba sound.

Apparently unphased by the magic floating platform, she makes her way to the table without further ado, sitting and inclining her head in greeting to Serori. "Colonel."

Shir (240) has posed:
Shir leaps into the room ready for any traps or monsters to attack. She then looks rather and realizes where she is, "Oh looks like I finally where the game is, you won't believe what I want through to get here. I can't see how anyone stands to live here, guess that why's it's full of undead huh. "Guess, it's a good I'm Shir of the Wind or I would be dead right now several times over."

Maya has posed:
Maya was rather stunned at the invite but it was a curious bit, she had money to burn yes. She put a lot of it to good use but tonight sh was going to use some on her self. She was nor expecting the Vegas bunny girl bit from Serori. Maya however looks for all the random fantasy warriot chick with her costume which exposes some of her tattoo work, and she's taking a look about at Drac's minions. Well she got Dracula seemed to be big on the rules of hosptiality and did not suspect anything foul would happen othe than possibly losing her shirt playing poker..

"Good evening everyone."

Serori (37) has posed:
Serori beckons Skitter over. "Sure, it's a lot. Never know what kind of appetites might show up. Some people like to eat whenever they're stressed out, y'know. Besides, I eat a lot, too...you'll hear the jokes eventually."

To Sarah, Serori just snorts amusement. "Not celebrating, hmm? Nice to see you anyway, Sarah."

    To Johnny..."Nice costume."

Shir's nodded over to a seat.

Sarah (316) has posed:
"Harmonia doesn't celebrate this nonsense." Sarah waves a hand idly, indicating the various and sundry costumes. Her eyes fall on Serori herself, then, studying her flatly for a second or two. "Speaking of which, what /are/ you wearing?"

And who had to die to get her in it? Because surely blood had to spill for Serori to wear that. Right??

Genghis Rex (114) has posed:
Genghis Rex strolls in with his usual smug air, tail swishing behind him and radiating that all too familiar self confidence. He wears no costume, he does not take part in silly mammal holidays, but hey, he is his own costume anyway!

Evette (593) has posed:
You know, it's a very, -very- good thing that Monoceros is a GPS, radio, and companion all in one, because otherwise Evette would pretty much have been at a loss here. I mean, going through two wrong warpgates on your way? Trying to ask one of Castlevania's statues for directions when she actually did get there? Yeah, no, she doesn't exactly have the best sense of direction. To make matters worse, she's awfully taken in by the myriad of beautiful - or at least fairly mystical - sights afforded by Castlevania's grandiose sprawl. Winding dead trees? Check! Really creepy Gothic paintings? Check! Cobwebs? Probably check on those too! Seriously, she could not have picked a better place to come for Halloween.

"Wooooow...~!" She's probably spinning in a small circle as she steps on to the rotating platform. Meanwhile, Monoceros, her impromptu robot guardian, would likely have a sweatdrop on his monitor to showcase his feelings. To some reasonably random and non-threatening figure - probably Arthur - she would exclaim, "I-Is this really all somebody's -house-?? Are they a princess? Do I get to meet them if I win the game thingy?" Her eyes shimmer and sparkle with fervent enthusiasm, and she quite literally bounces up and down while she waits for a reply.

She would immediately stop waiting as soon as the elevator reaches its destination, though, rushing forward to its edge prematurely to get a better look at the room proper, and likely to gawk at those serving skeletons. Yet, still, she's not scared in the least! She remains as excitable as ever, dashing to and fro as soon as she gets the opportunity, eventually landing herself right in front of one of the skeletons. "H-Hey! Somebody said there would be cookies! Do you have any cookies? If you don't, then where can I get some?"

Don't tell her that you're gambling for chips, seriously -- she'll just ask why you can't gamble for cookies, too.

Dracula Vlad Tepes (83) has posed:
"...Lord Dracula. I have remained your faithful servant for many ages now, but I finally find myself questioning your sense."

"Come now, Death. I thought you of all people would understand the traitions of the holiday."

"I understand them, yes. It is partaking in their frivolity that I refuse to accept."

"And yet you look so fitting in that. Come along, now, we have guests to entertain, and I will not have either of us disappointing them."

So Dracula, of course, is here. The Lord of Darkness stands near the buffet table, ensuring that everything goes well...but he's not dressed in his usual attire. The tall man, instead, is wearing ragged black robes that drape all the way down to the floor, obscuring most of his body save for his face. On top of his head is a vaguely priest-like black hood, and on his back is a scythe of gleaming silver as beautiful as it is menacing, its blade formed from the elegantly curved wing of a bat.

And Death wanders in to take a seat at the poker table, wearing lavish dark robes of the finest silks, decorated by draconic scarlet patterns and a billowing cape whose interior seems almost to be made of dripping blood, leaving his skeletal face visible. Strangely, despite his complete lack of facial features, the God of Death's bony visage /feels/ like it holds the deepest scowl imaginable. Maybe it's his looming, sulking posture over the table that contributes to it.

Arthur Lowell has posed:
ARTHUR LOWELL arrives! Descending via floating platform, he's got a massive grin on his face, and immediately sets upon the buffet without any ceremony. There's a quick DOUBLE FINGERGUNS and a small assortment of winks to Skitter, Courier Six, Death, and Sarah, all of whom he knows from experience, and a lot of intense looks to everyone else.

No costume this time. Oh well!

He's grabbed too much food and is already heading for a seat at the table. A SMALL HUMANOID BLUE IGUANA has popped out of his hood, and is peering over his shoulder.

Serori (37) has posed:
Serori ignores Sarah's attempted jibe, and takes it in stride, instead of growing at all temperamental. Maybe it's the mood, maybe it's the audience, maybe it's her promises to behave. Adopting a broad, smug smile, she idly flips one of her rabbit ears at Sarah. "Jealous?"

"Cookies are at the buffet table," she says to Evette. "Help yourself."

"If the rest of you'll get comfortable, we'll get started soon."

Genghis Rex (114) has posed:
Genghis Rex peruses the buffet, plucking up 3 full turkeys and stuffing them under his arm. He passes by Dracula and the way to the poker table and stops, "I've heard about the treaure room. Would you be kind enough to show it to me one day?"

Evette (593) has posed:
Evette would absolutely -squee- at Serori, bobbing her head up and down at speeds great enough to generate electricity for a small television. "O-Okay! Thank you, Miss... uhm... Person! I'll be ready soon!" She gives a tiny bow of her head before dashing off in the direction of the indicated buffet table, snagging two glasses of punch, some /actual/ chips, and a whole plateful of the promised goods, she would find herself a seat and nestle in. A seemingly exhausted Monoceros would follow behind her, panting like some form of mechanical dog and waggling its metallic 'wings' in exasperation.

Evette throws a hand in the air and waves after swallowing another cookie. "Reeeaadddyyy~!" Beam~.

Jericho Hawke (270) has posed:
So there's a high stakes poker game on Halloween. That sounds like a good way to spend it. Having gotten his invitation, Jericho Hawke has shown up. He's actually wearing a costume...Sort of. He's still a cowboy, but the markings on his gear are clearly that of the Templars.

Once he's arrived, and has the frequency, he's sure to grab some of that tequila that Johnny is offering, before he tips his hat to the gathered group and sits down at an open chair.

Genghis Rex (114) has posed:
Rex, steps past a wine rack and helps himself to a bottle with his free hand, then sits down at the poker table and tosses one of the whole turkeys into his mouth, crunching it loudly, yes, bones and all. He sets the other two under his chair (apparently for later), pops the cork on the wine and places it in front of him. He glances around the table, sizing up the competition. He rolls his eyes, then takes a long drag on the bottle of wine. "Shall we get started?"

Dracula Vlad Tepes (83) has posed:
Ah, guests! When he's addressed, Dracula turns to Rex and offers the Tyranno a pleasant welcoming smile. "Ah, Rex, a pleasure to have you here. Yes, I would certainly be willing to show you sometime, if you wish. So long as you have some time to spare; it is quite expansive, after all."

Once Rex has moved on, Dracula turns to the Skeleton Band on the other end of the room led by Abaddon and gives them a quick snap of his fingers. The conducting locust-man-demon nods primly to the Lord of Darkness, then turns to the assembled skeletons and thier various instruments. A jazzy tune starts up, then, given a suitably haunting air by a small organ accompaniment.

Death, meanwhile, simply turns his empty-socketed head around here and there to regard those that approach the table, but says nothing. Bony fingers drum against the felt, pondering and waiting for the game to begin. He really looks like he wants to get this over with.

Serori (37) has posed:
"Welcome, everyone," Serori smiles at the table. "Take your seats, and we'll deal the first hand. In case you don't know me yet, as some of you might not, my name is Serori. I'm a Colonel of the Confederacy, and your dealer and scorekeeper for the evening. With us, we have..."

She gestures toward each participant in turn. "Sarah, Union Captain and all-around spoilsport; Evette; Skitter; the Cowboy; the Indian, Johnny Tallbranch; Arthur Lowell, hero and lizard-keeper; Genghis Rex, the fearsome warlord; Maya; Shir; and of course, Death. Our host is Lord Dracula Vlad Tepes."

Serori fans the cards across the felted table, then gathers them up again and continues to shuffle. "Saa. Let's see who'll be placing the first bets, hm?"

Arthur Lowell has posed:
"He's a keeper! Thip thip." Arthur's Iguana says.
"Shit yeah, let's get this party STARTED!" Arthur takes his seat eagerly, spinning it around on a corner once before settling in and slamming both palms down eagerly while his passenger jumps out of his hood and sits down on the table itself.

Taylor Hebert (587) has posed:
Skitter makes a decision; well, her stomach does. She hasn't eaten today and she's rather thirsty, and she's been assured there's no cameras. It's risky, but she doesn't think any Unionites describing her to Armsmaster will do much.

Moving to the buffet table, she gets a small plate of food and a beverage of some sorts. She's /probably/ not going to drink alcohol. Once she has her plate, she moves to take her seat at the poker table.

And then she removes her mask, putting it at her side. With the visors and the mandible completely blocking her face gone, she looks much different. She's pale, not unattractive, with a thin face and brown eyes, her long curly brown hair falling flat without any part of the mask holding it up.

"Good luck...everyone."

Serori (37) has posed:
"So, Rex gets the first bet." Serori slides a token in front of his seat. "Let's get started."

Maya has posed:
Maya nods as she's introduce and moves to sit down at the table it's time to play now isn't it?

Serori (37) has posed:
Serori deals CARDS:
