Synopsis: Fallen Space Wolves of the Red Corsairs attempt to raid Fayt's transport ship!
Cast of Characters: Kirito, Tomoe, 319, Blurr, 554, Shigure, 707, 809

Huron Blackheart (809) has posed:
Hours ago, the Union commissioned Black Dragon Shipping to transport rare energy sources, very valuable modular ship and base parts, and a few shipments of weaponry, around one of the many hot zones of the conflict against the Confederacy. The shipments were picked up on the world of Centuris Beta, and were meant to be delivered to Centuris Theta, in the same system, roughly a few hours' travel at a nice pace, with a Warp Gate at the mid-way point, in the event something happened. Whether people arrive from that Warp Gate when things go south, or if they were already onboard Fayt's ship, is up to you folks.

It's around that mid-point that a transmission comes in; the codes check out for a Space Wolf vessel called the Wolf of Fenris, which is actually visible through the windows if any. The four kilometers long Strike Cruiser, as expected of a Space Marine vessel, is heavily armed, but it checks out. Space Wolf colors, symbols. No different from any other larger ship people may have glimpsed amidst Karian's armies, if they've had the chance to.

The captain proceeds to hail Fayt's vessel across the Broadband.

Fayt Ravus (319) has posed:
Space wolves? Well the ships in the right place for it. Fayt was running a valuable union shipment, but he wasn't told to rush, in fact the delivery came with orders to act normally in hopes that nobody figures out that there's valuable cargo Union moving around. So when the trip get's interrupeted by a Space Wolf Vessel asking to dock and do some business, Fayt does what he ususal does: respond back over broadband let them on board.

The ship itself is a massive freighter, typical of what you'd find out trading in the void. the only major mark on it is the company logo: A black Dragon, curled around a shipping crate painted on either side of the ship.

Shigure has posed:
Kuma and the rest of her Fleet are aboard the ship already, hitching a ride through Centuris Theta on to the next destination, a diplomatic long cruise to source more raw materials for the war effort against the Abyss.

Kuma is pacing around in one of the crew areas, Chitose leans against the wall with her arms crossed, watching the smaller Cruiser wander back and forth, like a slow-motion tennis match. Nowaki and Shigure are sat looking out a viewport.

Shigure mmns softly. "There's a ship out there. It's moving like it's about to dock." she offers softly, looking at the others. "Do you think something's wrong? I'm getting a really bad feeling about this."

Huron Blackheart (809) has posed:
Peacefully and with the expected professionalism of the Astartes, the Strike Cruiser approaches Fayt's ship, sliding parallel to it until the hatches can connect. Smaller thrusters kick into gear to stabilize the two ships, and then it's smooth sailing.

It's when this close to the Wolf of Fenris that workers might notice some of the Imperium motifs on the ship have been crossed our by red crosses, X's and even some crossbones. That'd probably be the first sign something is off. Space Marines tend to worship and care for their symbols very much.

The first squad to enter Fayt's ship is led by the Wolf-Lord himself, Beowulf; a nine foot tall man in silver-blue and yellow power armor, with an axe slung over one shoulder and a bolter strapped to his waist. He's got long brown hair with viking braids in them and a short beard, with nasty scars on his face and razor teeth. He's accompanied by nine others like him, about a foot shorter overall and with their helmets on. Their weaponry varies, from power swords to claws and power fists. One's got a flamer.

Fayt might be used to dealing with Imperium folks; they're very paranoid, so coming armed is... the standard, really. Even amongst allies. What ISN'T normal is that their Space Wolf banners, logos, insignias and shoulder plates are all crossed out with red paint, or possibly blood, as though the intent had been to deface every vestige of the Imperium on their armor.

Following them is about two dozen normal humans, many with heavy, bulky and primitive cybernetics. They look like slaves you'd use for carrying cargo and not much else.

"HAIL, FAYT RAVUS OF THE BLACK DRAGON!" Beowulf shouts. It almost sounds friendly.

Tomoe has posed:
Tomoe had been catching a lift on Fayt's ship, why? She's been shopping at a few planets. Pickiung up some interesting things for dinner, personal supplies and other odds an ends. Also trying to keep her from things with Death Gun. She attemped to push that out of her head. Well something is happening but it's just another deal with the space wolves right? ?Nothing to worry about right? So she got up and was heading down to meet their guests.

Blurr has posed:
The smaller Cybertronian vessel the Trion II is cruising nearby, with an Autobot contingent aboard. It has been escorting the large Black Dragon freighter from Beta to Theta, since some of the cargo hed been pre-acquisitioned for the purpose of supporting the Autobot war effort against the Decepticons, much like Kuma and her fleet are along for the ride due to materials needed for their own battles.

They've been monitoring almost every frequency transmitting to and from the Black Dragon freighter's comms arrays, and Blurr finds himself feeling a bit suspicious of these Space Wolf people. He begins to hail the other ship. << Fayt, this is Blurr aboard the Trion are you sure you can trust these people? If they don't plan on any violence breaking out then why are they insisting on bringing power armor and weapons as if they were marching onto a battlefield instead of shopping? >>

But, even as he's speaking, he notices that the ship has already docked. Ugh. He quietly begins powering up the Trion's weapons systems and locking targeting algorithms on the suspicious Wolf Of Fenris.

Fayt Ravus (319) has posed:
Tall, loud, armed ot the teeth, covered in blood and probably drunk. Yeah. That's a Space Wolf. Fayt wouldn't be suprised if the guy's full name and title was Wolf-Lord Beowulf McWolfington, Lord of especially wolf-like Wolves.

Seriously, they're REALLY big on the wolf thing.

Fayt winces as as Beowulf practically screams at him, though he does his best to keep his cool. "Yes... Hail. anyway, welcome to black Dragon shipping, how can I help you?" Unfortunatly, having to make his way down to greet the new arrivals means no time to see the ship. The armor though, that's readily noticable. "Are you looking to restock some of your supplies, it looks like you recently had a bit of a run-in with something..." he may be a bit suspicious about that, but his voice makes it hard to tell.

Huron Blackheart (809) has posed:
Beowulf McWolfington (not his real name, although the fact it took that long for there to be a Space Wolf called Beowulf is incredible in and of itself) grins, exposing the rows of sharp teeth with a vicious smile. "Aye, with somethin'. Boys!"

The nine Space Marines who accompany Beowulf take a half-circle formation stepping forward, trying to surround the trader. "I'm afraid this be a boarding party, lad. No hard feelin's, but we couldn't just let th'fact the Space Wolves are active and 'pparently friendly to you folks slip by without tryin to abuse it, now could we? 'fraid we ain't no Wolves anymore. A decade ago, maybe. We'll be resupplying alright, with yer ship's contents if you don't mind. Ya've been cooperative so far, don't turn this into a massacre."

Kirito has posed:
When so many valuable and rare things are on the itinerary, KIRITO has come along to do his duty to Fayt and help the guy who helped him. unfortunately the young man looks nothing like the tall, thin asian who Fayt hired. Instead...

A short, long-haired, androgynous man in black attire, with an unlit beam saber clasped to his belt, waits in the Cargo Hold along with all of the boxes. No matter what thieves might come, he's ready for 'em.

He's watching the docking procedure on a wall-mounted video panel while, himself, leaning back on a crate and rummaging through his menu.

Yeah, today's just business as usual!

Shigure has posed:
Kuma listens to the radio. "Trouble, kuma. Diamond formation, lets get out there. Chitose... stay here, your planes won't be any good in these tight confines, kuma." she states. The Seaplane Tender nods. "If they come for the cargo, they'll have my bombers to contend with." she says, unlatching her launch guns and swinging them around into position.

Kuma, Nowaki and Shigure form up, and head out of the second cargo hold, the Cruiser taking lead, while the Destroyers flank to the sides, and slightly behind, a standard chevron for lack of the rest of the diamond.

It'll take them a little while to get to the location though.

Tomoe has posed:
Tomoe had been on her way to meet the Space Wolves, she'd normally had a good history with them. She had just arrived to greet the Space Marines. They seemed a bit off but the Space Wolves were never one to be too standard right? Until they drop the Planet Buster, there's a beat she pauses for a moment and she's going to pull her sword Dawn Breaker and she moves to lunges in.

"Traitor Marines? I can get bailing on the Imperium but this?! Pathic! Your just common thugs now!"

She's not as tall as a normal space marine but she's taller than the average human, also her ears betray she likely isn't one as the purple haired Paladin lunges at Beowulf and his compantions. She doesn't know how long she'll last, but she will delay them a bit, right?

Blurr has posed:
Blurr tenses when he hears the conversation on the comms. It sounds as if he had been right to begin with, this 'Beowulf' individual was up to no good! But the 'I told you so's will have to be saved for another time. << Fayt, what do they want exactly? >> He inquires, but doesn't wait for a response before informing them, << I'm firing on their ship. >>

A more cautious and wise person probably would have waited for further information on the situation, but Blurr is not very good at the waiting thing. He's more of a 'shoot first, think about it later' type.

The Trion's forward cannons suddenly light up with blue fire, and bright laser beams lance through the darkness of the Void straight toward the Wolf of Fenris.

Defiant (554) has posed:
The thing about being a superhero is that you always seem to know when you're needed, or you have a sophisticated early-warning system that tells you the same thing. Either or. In any case, as Beowulf and his heretic marines move to encircle Fayt, there's the sound of another set of heavy metal boots on the deck.

The figure looks something like a Space Marine, although his suit of power armor is much sleeker, although the green and gold plating, alongside the various draconic embellishments like scale etchings and slight draconic cast to his helmet might evoke a Salamander. In one hand, he holds a long two-pronged spear. It hums quietly, perhaps something like a power weapon?

Defiant raises one gauntletted hand and extends a finger at Beowulf. You, it seems to be saying. A challenge, perhaps?

Fayt Ravus (319) has posed:
    Oh Gods damnit.

The idea of trator marines disguised as normal marines hadn't occured to Fayt, mostly because what little knows of them says loyal and trater marines hate each other so much that they'd sooner fall on thier chainswords than touch their enemie's equipment.

then again, if his speech is anything to go by, this is not a normal chaos marine.

With a grunt, Fayt pulls his staff off of his back and points at at 'Beowulf' He also gives an order into his radio. "All non-elite personel move AWAY from cargo, everyone else? Head towards me or guard the cargo, whichever is closer. Blurr? Open fire. Union?... your delivery may be somewhat delayed."

    What? It's his job OK?

Huron Blackheart (809) has posed:
"Resistance, huh? Don't go saying we didn't give you a chance. BROTHERS! FOR LORD BLACKHEART, AND FOR THE RED CORSAIRS!" is Beowulf's answer to Fayt's readiness.

    On the field:
    * Beowulf, taller, frost axe and storm bolter
    * 2x Marines with chainswords and regular bolters
    * 1x Marine with a heavy flamer (flamethrower)
    * 2x Marines with power swords and storm shields (tower shields)
    * 2x Marines with heavy bolters
    * 1x Marine with lightning claws on both hands
    * 1x Marine with a power fist and a plasma pistol

The Space Wolves wielding the sword/shield combos, the heavy flamer, and the heavy bolters DART for the cargo room, with speed that betrays their power armor. They're going to try making a hell of an entry, and you get one guess what the heavy flamer is for if they can't get what they want. They are followed by about 24 cybernetically enhanced humans, who have the grace and speed of zombies of crack. These are mostly unarmed, though their cybernetics double as claws and power fists.

The ones that stay behind are engaged by Tomoe immediatly; she is denied access to Beowulf, her sword crashing into the larger power fist of the Astartes closest to him. The blow seems to crack the weapon, the forcefield around it not enough to stop her charge entirely. The plasma pistol is raised and he attempts to open fire on her.

Beowulf's grin widens at Defiant's challenge-- he pushes aside the rest of his guards, stepping forward to meet the Cape. "A warrior's honor, is it? And what prize will my victory net me?" The frost axe is swung! It has a mildly destructive forcefield around the blade, though the real bite of frost weapons is that they freeze what they hit. It can make armor weaken, or slow movement if it spreads to whole limbs.

Fayt isn't being ignored at all; he has the attention of the rest of Beowulf's squad. Two different Marines swing chainswords are him in a pincer attack, while the one with the lightning claws makes a-- all things considered-- fairly suicidal lunge straight for the mage, the razor sharp claws arcing lightning between them.

Blurr brings a whole different dimension to this conflict, opening fire on the Wolf of Fenris. It's a mighty vessel, well armored and shielded, but the proximity to Fayt's, and the fact it's still docked, prevents evasive maneuvers completely. Blasts connect and lit sections of the ship in flames, while onboard the remaining crew opens fire right back. The first volley is bright blue, lances of plasma being fired at the Trion in exchange for its opening gifts.

Xiaomu (707) has posed:
A little while ago, Xiaomu was alternating between 'relaxed' and 'giddy' over knowing that some merchandise she'd ordered, and which she'd arranged for Black Dragon Shipping to handle the latter stages of delivery for, was finally on its way.

Then she heard that the ship had been boarded by space pirate marines or something.

Anyone who knows the habits of the otaku should be able to predict that she is somewhere on the opposite side of the Multiverse from 'happy' at this point. What she's NOT on the far side of the Multiverse from is --

"HIGH SPEED XIAOMU!!!!"

-- right here, as she more-or-less-literally FLIES out of the warpgate, catches herself on a convenient chunk of rock, and redirects herself towards the cargo vessel which has the wolf of Fenris docked to it. A twirl of her staff leads to a volley of large, pointy ice-chunks flying at the Chaos Marine vessel - more to distract and preoccupy anyone who's still on board, Xiaomu doesn't expect to do THAT much damage with ice magic. But she's also hoping it'll buy her the time to get on board Fayt's ship, because she has precious, precious merchandise to protect against pirates.

Fayt Ravus (319) has posed:
Fayt QUICKLY backs up as he sees the two chainswords headed his way. The lightening Claws of the third managed to barely scrape Fayt, leaving some nasty gashes in his shirt "GAH!"

Qucikly, Fayt points his staff in the Marines general direction, it starts to twist abotu in an impossible manner as he says calmly. "Shock bolt. Split."

A small bolt of electricty fires form Fayt's staff before quickly splitting into three, one headed for each of the marines facing him. There's also something else though, a weird eletric buzz as multicolored electricty starts to dance around Fayt's head. Weird.

Defiant (554) has posed:
Defiant shifts into a ready stance, turning his spear in a wide arc. The blade hums with audible menace as the field surrounding the two-pronged head carves through the air. "Quit barking, dog," Defiant growls out, voice modulated behind a deep filter.

% The frost axe comes sweeping in and Defiant moves, blocking it with the blade of his spear. The forcefield of the axe meets the disintegrating nanothorn field of Defiant's spear, resulting in the blades merely colliding, even as ice begins to collect over the blade and top of the haft.

Gripping his spear in two hands, Defiant slams the weapon forward in a horizontal blow, aiming to press Beowulf back - so he can thrust the weapon towards him, right for his ceramite-armored chest!

Tomoe has posed:
There's MArines here they are heavily armed nd this was going to be a heck of a fight. She knows she wasn't going to get to Beowulf in all likelyhood, but she can keep them tied up. She's now locked into combat with the traitor marine. She doesn't seem happy and the blast happens, she shifts for a moment as the to nto take a full on hit. The blast does however do some nasty damage and she is in pain but the blast dones smething strange. Her body isn't charred normally there's this horrible red wireframe where the glancing hit got her.

It's like some sort of 3d computer model than flesh. She attempt to push back and engage this one marine and as she does so she mutters something in Norse. The accient is horrible, there are runes flying about her and then her blade catches fire!

Shigure has posed:
Shigure nns! "Flagship, multiple contacts incoming on surface radar. Three Cruiser-class, multiple PT-boats. They're on intercept course." she says, her voice soft, seemingly unable to raise above a soft murmur, though the urgency projects to the others.

Kuma skids to a stop, and silently gestures to spread out across the corridor. Nowaki finds somewhere to settle, her purse-cannon ready at the corner ahead, Shigure deploys her Cannon-fa, and ducks into an indented doorframe while Kuma herself stands in the center of the corridor, her shoulder-cannon aimed and elevated, waiting and ready for the approaching hostiles.

Kirito has posed:
With Kirito being in the Cargo hold, well, he can totally hear the huge pile of marines and their cohorts charging along on the way. And in that short amount of time he comes up with a strategy.

The young swordsman hops from his perch and places himself smack dab in the doorway to the cargo hold, right in the way of the advancing troops. He's standing simply as it gets with his unlit saber now held in his right hand, although it's held down. That side of his body's a half step forward though...

    And he's smiling.

It's a simple smile to be sure. Not cocky, not smug, but incredibly confident.

Yes. Kirito simply waits there patiently while the forces advance.

Chances are, anyone vulnerable to fear will stop in their tracks long before they reach him. Despite his tiny stature, human instinct knows not to advance straight towards a top-grade warrior.

Of course, actual Space Marines are unlikely to be stopping, right?

"Yo." States the long-haired boy. Then there's a snap-hiss of his beam-saber igniting, casting a thick magenta glow through the corridor.

    "This area's off-limits."

Blurr has posed:
The shots connect, and the pirates return fire as expected. But Blurr definitely realizes that he has the advantage--the Fenris is docked and therefore unable to execute evasive maneuvers while the Trion is not and is thus free to dodge the incoming barrage.

While the Autobot vessel is not able to evade -everything-, it banks sharply sideways to attempt to throw off their target locks. Some of the laser fire is absborbed by its shields, reducing its efficacy to 80%.

Then Blurr gets an idea. Presumably these pirates are here to plunder Fayt's vessel, given it is a large supply freighter, and take off the spoils. The Trion might be able to destroy the vessel outright before these 'Space Marines' could successfully loot the ship, but given the proximity to the Black Dragon vessel, disabling the Fenris might be difficult to do without causing significant damage to Fayt's freighter.

But if -someone- were to say, board the enemy craft and send the main engines into emergency shutdown somehow then sabotage the fuel lines, they might be able to disable the vessel without damaging the friendly cargo ship. Might be quicker than blunt force, too. Might. That way too, the Union could detain the traitors and prevent them from going off and wreaking havoc on other unsuspecting parties.

Quickly, Blurr instructs the rest of the crew to continue evasive maneuvers and light suppression fire then heads toward an airlock, grabbing a rocket pack not unlike Sideswipe's and jumps out to head toward the Fenris, scanning for a hull breach, airlock or other opening. Hopefully the Space Marines are too busy focusing on the Trion to notice!

Huron Blackheart (809) has posed:
Fayt raises his staff, and just on cue, the bolts of lightning send the three Chaos Marines slamming back against the wall behind them, as though hurled with great force. Two rise immediatly, while the third grunts. "They have a Psyker. We should have brought one!" "No, this is no Psyker. That man is touched by the Warp! One of our own, in time!" Bluhbluh evil cultist talk. Seems they think Fayt is corrupt somehow. Completely false, but a fair assumption to make on their part. Rather than leap straight for him again, the two with the bolters raise the rifles and start spraying bullets towards the Chaos Mage. Bolter shells are... not ship hull friendly, but it's doubtful they care.

Beowulf seems to be gathering more and more excitement, especially as Defiant is able to halt his swing and starts pushing him back. Defiant has the edge in raw strength! The tip of his spear plunges into the ceramite, not piercing all the way through, but given its special field, doing enough damage that he's created a hole where armor is no longer of any protection. "If you think me a dog, then allow me to show you-- what the gifts of Khorne have done to our Wulfen blood!"

Beowulf seems to grow another feet as his exposed skin becomes dark and fur-covered, and his face warps into a grotesque mutant of a werewolf. His armor cracks in places at the strain, but the pain must only motivate him to charge with more ferocity. Using one hand (to attempt) to knock the spear aside, he aims to tackle Defiant into the wall behind him, with more strength and speed than previously.

Tomoe not being reduced to a charred husk confuses the Space Wolf with the plasma pistol, just enough that when she comes in with her flaming sword, it cuts a nasty gash across his chestplate and causes him to lose a few feet of ground. With a canine roar, the Marine clenches his power fist and tries to just sock Tomoe away the good old fashioned way.

Kuma, Nowaki and Shigura attempt to form a blockade; the five Astartes running down that hallway quickly make a plan among themselves with a simple nod of communication. The two with shields and power swords raise their storm shields and advance in front, in the event the Fleet would open fire. The flamer stays back, while the two heavy bolters stop and rain explosive shells on the Fleet's position. The net result is that the two melee Astartes slip through into the cargo room, but it leaves the other three, and their horde of Servitors, without any protection from any and all counterfire. It's going to hurt, for sure.

Kirito may inspire fear in the game world, but Space Marines are known to be reckless, and fearless. Now faced with two eight foot tall power armored giants with storm shields and power swords, he elicits more a laugh than fright. "A young boy? This cargo is as good as ours. Stand back, Ragwar, I'll handle him myself."

One of the two Space Wolves advances on Kirito, power sword swinging. The force field around the weapon would destroy any mundane one-- but unbeknownst to him he just engaged a swordsman with magical blades, and of much greater skill than he.

Huron Blackheart (809) has posed:
Meanwhile, outside, Xiamou opens fire on the Wolf of Fenris as well. Her shots may be smaller, but if she aims right, she can disable cannons, turrets or even key systems-- so size won't avail the massive cruiser if she's smart about it. For now, she's caused only surface damage-- but what she HAS done, is keep the force field from going up. It was in the process of being powered when she came rolling in with bursts of magic, and now it doesn't seem to be going up at all. That could be bad for the Wolf.

Which, of course, means the Trion has another advantage to its name right now. Blurr's analysis is correct, at least; the Wolf of Fenris is massive, and likely contains anti-planetary armament, something the Imperium is famous for. To destroy it so close to Fayt's ship could be disastrous. To cripple it and teach them a lesson, though, that's still perfectly viable.

The two ships engage in a war of lasers and artillery, while Blurr seaks out a breach. He does find one! And inside he goes. Unfortunately, a machine his size is quickly picked up-- by a similar foe, no less.

The heavy stomps of a Chaos Dreadnought, coming up behind Blurr, bend the metal under its feet as it blocks the whole of the corridor leading to the engine rooms. The blocky, box-like machine with two arms and legs opens its visor just briefly enough for two human eyes to glare the Autobot down, before the Dreadnought opens fire with a melta blast-- superheated gas, expelled like a shotgun. It is going to cause ridiculous damage to the ship hit or miss, but the idea's for Blurr to take the worst of it. Hopefully.

Shigure has posed:
Kuma braces for the incoming bolter rounds, slugs slamming into her uniform and rigging, leaving smouldering welts in the metal, and charred black segments in her clothes and skin. "Fufufu~." she laughs, a deep, low, very evil sound, as she lifts her eyes to look at the Flamer and Heavy Bolters. "You call those explosive rounds?" she asks, then levels her cannon barrel, firing out a spread of six 14cm shells into the Servitors and Astartes.

Shigure rounds the indent, and opens up with her array of cannons. "I'll show you the true power of the Nishimura fleet." she says while 25mm autocannons spraying lead, and the larger 10cms roar as they spew explosive shells right back at the Traitor Marines.

Nowaki opens fire as well, her 12.7cm purse gun, and her hip-mounted cannon lobbing their own shells into the bombardment. "Compared to Mariana or Leite, this is nothing!"

Defiant (554) has posed:
Okay, now that's going to be a problem.

Defiant's already pulling his spear back, ready to skewer Beowulf on his own charge - but the Khorne-touched marine is too strong, too fast, and he knocks Defiant's weapon wide. The draconic-themed cape is forced to let go of his spear, sending the weapon clattering across the hold. Damn.

Defiant's already moving, reaching behind his hips to pull a gladius free - but he's forced to drop that, too, as Beowulf hammers him against the wall. He needs to get free. Red lights are already blinking to life on his HUD.

So, Defiant draws his head back, and /slams/ his helmet against Beowulf's mutated face. From there, Defiant goes to hammer him with his fists, again and again, and - as he draws his fist back for one more blow - his arm shimmer behind that field again. Not only in his weapons, but his armor too? Well, it might force Beowulf to dodge back!

Or maybe he can fight on without parts of his body. Either way, it'll be enlightening.

Fayt Ravus (319) has posed:

Oh crap, bolters! Fayt dives into cover, ducking around the corner the other Marines jsut rushed through. though not before a round blows his shoulder open. Whimpering as he glaces at his shoulder, Fayt carefully leans out of his new hiding spot, taking aim at The marines, he sounds a bit annoied. "Sorry, but I'm not joining any cults, for one Metta would kill me... also: Shockbolt. split."

This time, Fayt skips the careful aim in favor of sending a whole spray of bolts at the marines. Though it's met with another buzz and more of that odd electricy around Fayt's head.

Blurr has posed:
Blurr scans for a hull breach--and finds one quickly enough. Score! He hurries inside, batting aside puny human-sized people despite their power armor. The Autobot searches for and also easily finds a terminal with a blueprint of the ship's layout. Hacking that by interfacing with an open socket, he quickly discerns the location of the engine rooms and begins to make his way there, speeding down the corridors.

But then something unexpected comes up behimd him and shoots superhated gas at him. His superior agility and reaction time allow him to turn and jump sideways right as the dreadnought fires, but the limited space the corridor offers prevents him from evading the assault completely. The melta blast sears into the armor on his shoulder, turning some of it into white-hot slag.

"Frag!" Wincing, he grips the injury temporarily then glares at his challenger, which is quite a bit shorter than him but at the same time much bulkier.

He smirks. "Sorry pal, you know I'd love to stay and shoot you a thousand times before you even realized what hit you, but I'm kinda busy at the moment!" With that, his body abruptly folds in on itself, flipping down into his more-compact hover speeder form. He then drives -straight- at the dreadnought, aiming to run it over and hopefully outrun it even if it manages to get back up!

Kirito has posed:
The air thrums with crackling energy as energy sword meets energized sword. Sparks fly and -

    *THRRRRM ZZZZZM CRSSSSSSSSSSSSHHH!!!*

Kirito batters the weapon several times with his lone sword like a boxer!

That's because a single blow wasn't enough to entirely offset the larger man's weight and strength. The beam saber has no weight and while Kirito is strong his opponent's still a Space Marine in POWER ARMOR.

What might shock both of them is that he's not bowled over by the parry attempt. The power sword is turned away but Kirito is also knocked backwards about ten feet and goes dramatically skidding along the floor plating.

"Uweh... this thing's such a handicap against a real sword." He mumbles, but oh well. No time to complain here!

Not responding at all to the provocations he retains his confident smile and rises again, long hair swaying about -- but it doesn't have a chance to settle!

    "HUAP!"

Because he DIVES forwards, aiming to GASH his lone opponent across the chest plate with a single high-speed strike. If it lands... he'll progress into a high-speed combo of strikes to joints and other hopefully vulnerable spots on the armor, hoping to turn it from an aid to a hindrance with the saber's ability to melt things!

Tomoe has posed:
Tomoe has a lot of melee combat experiance. Sure it was VR but you get locked up close enough times and even without an assist system? You start to learn things. Such as how to weave out of the wya of a punch. She moves to strike again but she's being forced to keep on the move for now. She attemps to make another strike at him wuth her Blazing Sword.

"So you bailed there's a lot more places you could go where your sword arm woudl find better yet you stoop to this?! Disgusting!"

Xiaomu (707) has posed:
Not like Xiaomu knows that the ship actually has shields, or the absence of them, but the fact that her ice chunks actually HIT the ship is refreshing. Now she just needs to get inside the freighter.

Fortunately, the direction she's coming from means that she can see the big rear hatch, the one that opens as a ramp to allow direct access to the cargo bay. A quick exchange on the radio gets the code she needed; one of the bouncing pieces of ice gives her the opportunity to slow down and aim properly at the aft ramp access panel ...

And a moment later, the hatch rolls open and the ramp starts to open. Xiaomu doesn't even wait for it to open all the way; as soon as there's enough of a gap to get inside, she slips through like a greased weasel. She doesn't bother drawing her weapons, either; as soon as she sees the Chaos Marines watching their comrade fighting Kirito, she brings her right hand up -

And a spray of magical 'lasers' lances from her fingertips, aimed to drill into the 'spectators heads and chests. It may not be instantly lethal but it's gonna HURT, and should make sure they can't back Ragwar up.

Huron Blackheart (809) has posed:
Kuma, Shigure and Nowaki answer firepower with firepower, unleashing shells larger than bolter rounds-- well, for the centimeter guns, anyway. Those heavy bolters actually outclass the 25mm autocannons, being 75mm autocannons themselves, but there's only two of them, against the whole of what those three are firing. One of the heavy bolter Marines is struck numerous times-- and pulls back, hiding behind cover. A number of Servitors are blown to bits outright. The remaining heavy bolter Marine motions for the Servitors to get behind cover, doing so himself. The heavy flamer one, however, grins behind his helmet, and levels the massive weapon forward into the corridor. It lets loose a gush of flame that swallows all oxygen and room ahead, essentially all the way to the cargo room. Don't mess with a heavy flamer, they've got something close to ninety meters range!

Defiant headbutts the werewolf to great effect; there might be metal in that skull, but an impact's an impact. The shield around his arm causes Beowulf to back up-- not before it shreds a whole layer of armor off his upper left torso and arm, exposing the mutated, now bloody, arm underneath. The fallen Wolf-Lord grunts again, staying at bay this time. "Interesting tech. Maybe I'll take THAT as my prize!" The storm bolter is leveled, and unloaded towards the Cape! Delicious explosive ammo in rapidfire, but nothing all that extraordinary either.

Fayt declines indoctrination, and then shoots MORE lightning. Those three Marines are REALLY wishing they'd brought a Sorcerer or Librarian with them right now. The magic is enough to keep the two chainsword wielders at bay and grounded. The one with the claws is using the weapons to block, barely.

Kirito engages the lone Marine in a duel. While it's true the Astartes has the edge in brute force, as concerns speed, finesse and control, Kirito outclasses him completely. The novelty of a sword made of light does pique the warrior's interest, admittedly.

Right up until a large gash is torn into his chest plate and he falls on his ass next to his battle-brother, who proceeds to laugh. "Just a boy, eh?" "He moves as though sped by the Warp! Ridiculous!"

Tomoe foes the Astartes she's fighting back, damaging his armor critically. She decides to talk-- he answers. "Lord Blackheart would have slaughtered us all if we had not turned on our brothers. In reward for our betrayal he let us keep this ship and crew, and showed us the truth about the Imperium."

Onboard the Wolf of Fenris, Blurr turns into a SPEEDY BASTARD. He knocks the Dreadnought over, and that's... it. There is no way in hell it could keep up with him. The Autobot can reach the engine rooms quickly-- and may even have time to do some damage.

Xiaomu bursts straight into the fight with Kirito, knocking the spectator Marine down. It's the other's turn to laugh. "Mock me for failing against a boy, but that little girl of a mutant just made a fool of you." "Shut up!"

This is, roughly, when the crew onboard the Wolf of Fenris sends an alert to the boarding party. <<WE'RE SUSTAINING TOO MUCH DAMAGE. PULL OUT.>>

And pull out they will, to the best of their ability. The Servitors are doomed, straight up, but the Chaos Marines, all tend of them, will do their best to get out, under the cover of the heavy flamer. Like a coward, Beowulf is the first to flee, using his boosted speed to his advantage. They might try to grab stuff that isn't nailed down on their way out, but if they manage it, it won't be anything to write home about.

Once they've all left (or been captured, or killed) the Wolf of Fenris will violently undock by shooting the boarding ramp, and a breach through the Warp will open ahead for them to slip through.

Defiant (554) has posed:
The thing is, there's this unspoken rule on Defiant's world - no guns in a cape fight. Unless, of course, your power is somehow gun-related. So, when Beowulf levels his storm bolter at him and opens up on full-auto, it's a tactic that would probably kill the vast majority of capes on Defiant's world.

Defiant's power armor is the combined work of the two best minds on his world, or so he likes to think, and so the green and gold plating holds - even as round after round batters against it. Some manage to pierce through and the detonations are debilitating. If Defiant hadn't replaced much of his internal biology with cybernetic components months ago, he'd likely be crippled - or worse.

He has one trick up his sleeve, however. Defiant extends his arm and recalls his spear, the weapon appearing in his grip in a flash of bright light. He goes to swing it, wide and high, only for Beowulf to turn tail and run!

"Coward!" Defiant roars, and he apparently settles for just hurling his spear after the retreating Chaos marine. It embeds in a bit of ship bulkhead.

Shigure has posed:
The one thing about ships and fire, especially the ones from Kuma's era... they're volatile. Kuma's rigging catches alight, and a roman candle-like gout of sparks streams out of one of those welts, before an entire side mushrooms out and bursts with superheated gas and shrapnel. The girl falls flat, as an emergency system ejects the shattered rigging into a smoking, flaming mass on the floor.

Shigure ducks behind her indented wall, wincing as that flame passes by within inches of her, singing her skin and uniform, but thankfully not engulfing her.

Nowaki fares much the same as Shigure, ducking down and getting singed, though in a moment of panic, her torpedo rack catches alight and an explosive bolt detaches the device. She picks it up, and tosses it into the Servitors, before the entire rack explodes violently, the Long Lance torpedoes detonating and gutting the corridor.

Fayt Ravus (319) has posed:
As the marines leave, Fayt leans against the wall, the undocking violent enough to actually ROCK the ship. once again, Fayt starts talking on the radio. "All non-elites prepair for emergency repairs. Repeat, non-elites prepair for emergency repairs. I'll be handeling medical."

Xiaomu (707) has posed:
Now that Xiaomu is in the cargo bay, she has two priorities: chasing the Chaos Marines out empty-handed, and making SURE that they don't grab anything on the way back to their ship. She's actively chasing them towards that end, in fact ..

"WHAT DID YOU CALL ME, YOU MANGY MUTT OF A FAILED SUPERSOLDIER?!"

At least until they call her a 'mutant,' it sounds like. That's the point when she breaks into a full-out run, vaults from the floor to the wall, kicks off for added speed -

"XIAOMU CYCLONE!!!"

- and comes out with a flip that lets her lock her thighs around the head of the one who said 'mutant,' and execute a tornado hurricanerana to FLING him bodily into his 'brothers'.

(She probably cheated somehow, given how small she is and how big and massive the armored Chaos Marines are.)

Tomoe has posed:
Tomoe sees so a larger cancer making lessers, this is a scary thing. What could break the will and a Faith of an Imperial Space Marine? Given how willful they were? It was stunning to hear this traitor's tale. She contines to fight presisng harder but it's quite hard and the traitor machine are fleeing. this could be worse all thing considered they got them to run. That's no small feat, she could contiune after him but there's too many others to worry about. She does however fire a burst of flame at him as he flees. It won't kill him likely but it will ruin his day a bit more if she lucks out.

She's more focuse don aiding and protecting the rest of the crew of Fayt's ship than anything.

Blurr has posed:
Blurr bowls over the dreadnought, speeding into the engine rooms. Once he's arrived, he glances behind him to confirm that it has not followed him. As he'd thought, it had been no match for his speed. With a smug grin, he opens an access panel and rips out controls designed for small organics.

At that moment, an announcement sounds over the intercom, indicating that the Fenris is retreating. He hasn't much time, but he's nothing if not fast! The Autobot thrusts himself into their systems, connecting to any open socket and begins to do as much damage to their propulsion control code as he possibly can.

After a few minutes, he finally pulls out and jumps from an airlock to head back to the Trion. Ha, if everything went as planned, the Fenris is going to be having some serious technical problems not long after their hasty retreat, which might even strand them in a vulnerable position. Blurr is no -expert-, but wreaking somewhat-directed havoc in a system doesn't exactly require it.

Kirito has posed:
Perhaps thankfully for the Marines, Kirito is not a vengeful fox girl. He flips back away from his fallen opponent and again takes up the guard position. "Care to try ag--" And then in comes Xiaomu, not only flattening lots of the invasion force but prompting an insult.

Kirito can practically SENSE it a moment before it comes. Perhaps it's the instinct of a male protagonist but the moment the insult's out he flinches inwardly.

    And there goes Xiaomu!

The boy in black's perhaps a little bit intimidated by her display, going by the widened eyes!
