Meeting New Allies Over Ice Cream
Date of Scene: 14 August 2014
Location: Njorun Station - Medical
Synopsis: While she is recovering in medical Toph gets a visit some of her new allies in the Union. Ziggy and Michael even bring gifts!
Cast of Characters: 20, Blurr, Ziggy Grover, 543

Toph Beifong (20) has posed:
The area outside of medical is quiet, as it ought to be. Some of the patients do need the fresh air and calm here, as some of them have indeed been through some dire stuff. Though it appears that one of them stands out a bit.

A short girl sits on a bench outside of medical, her bare feet just barely reaching the ground. While she is wearing a patient shirt, she's got some simple oversized pants on her, medical armband on her wrist, and some minor bandages here and there. She appears to be slightly scrawny and just a little pale, a clear contrast to the large mass of black hair she has, barely restrained by a hairband. With her hands in her lap, she appears to be patiently waiting. After all, ice cream isn't something she's going to turn down. Besides... there's new people in the Union, and meeting them might not be too bad, right? Maybe they're fun!

Michael Knight (543) has posed:
Michael Knight enters the medical wing with a smile, one hand in his pocket. He's sans-Am at the moment--wouldn't want to get chewed out by the Union for driving a car into a hospital. KITT needs his tires rotated after that tussle in Kingsmouth, anyway. A plastic bag rustles in his hand, and his footfalls are heavy as he approaches the girl on the bench.

Ziggy Grover has posed:
There was the sound of a -humming-, and then a great shout, and rustling, followed by branches cracking, and a body thumping through branches, and a crash onto the ground, as Ranger Green arrives.

Staggering to his feet, checking his packages, Ranger Green grimaces. Good, the girl's ice cream was safe. The same couldn't be said of his own ice cream, smeared across his chest. Brushing it off, Ranger Green grows aware of the presence of someone on the bench. "Are you, uh... Toph? Welcome back. I've got your ice cream." Never mind the twigs or leaves stuck to the outside of it, here you go. It's right there in front of him. Nevermind that the Ranger's spoons is attached currently by cream to his chest.

Toph Beifong (20) has posed:
With her feet partially on the ground the blind girl is able to pick up the approach of the man approaching, as well as hearing his footsteps. Turning her head just slightly she focuses on him and his approach, a confused look on her face. But that is just the beginning as she catches the humming sound... and then blinks when somebody else crashes into the ground. The other people around blink at the disturbance, but once they realize that it's nothing dangerous and nobody was hurt they return to their prior activities.

It's only when Ziggy speaks that a look of realization appears on Toph's face, a slight grin on her lips. "More flying people, huh?" she chuckles, then nods. "And yeah, I'm Toph. Welcome to the Union." So he /did/ bring her ice cream? Sweet! Even if her eyes are never pointed directly at him she will reach out once he steps closer, leaning forward and taking the ice cream without fumbling. "What flavour you got?" she asks, all before she turns towards Michael again, hearing the rustling of the paper bag. "I haven't met you before, right?" His foot steps aren't familiar to her from what she can tell.

Michael Knight (543) has posed:
Michael Knight says, "I'm Michael, from the radio." He spares a look to Ziggy--that guy really knows how to make an entrance! "We haven't met in person yet," he elaborates. "I figured you'd have a lot of visitors, so I got you something else." He spots her eyes, the way she seems to look straight ahead. "Ever heard of Chewbacca?" He reaches into the bag and sets a boxed action figure on the bench next to her. As her senses extend, she might sense a metal plate in Michael's head."

Ziggy Grover has posed:
"Got you the rocky road," Ranger Green replies, as he considers the situation. Right. Girl. Very young by the looks of it. And that other guy... well, he'd heard him on the chatter the other day, but that was a -lot- of talking so he'd quickly tuned out.

Growing aware of lack of spoonage, Ranger Green checks about, looking down on the ground, before his hands fly across his body. No pockets. Just... oh, there it is.

Spoon dripping the remaints of Ziggy's ice cream, the Power Ranger does his best to clean up, using his gloves to wipe it off. "Here, uh... name's Ziggy. And I don't fly. I just... teleport." Awkwardly, too.

There was a slight tap on his helmet as he considers. Odd. Usually he'd be hearing -something- from K about now. Maybe he -was- lucky, and she actually -did- sleep.

Toph Beifong (20) has posed:
Another look of recognition settles on Toph's youthful face, and she's grinning again. "Oh, hi! Didn't bring your talking car, huh? Nurses wouldn't let you?" Hey, at least she seems well enough to joke about it, huh? As for having many visitors? The girl shakes her head. "No, just Goldie and Pepper, and well, Chambers works in medical and stopped by earlier. Maybe I'll get more visitors later," she shrugs. She was out for two weeks, and some people sound relieved that she's awake and herself again.

The offered box catches her attention, and she reaches out and picks it up, a curious look on her face. "Chewwackawho?" she asks. And yes, she is aware of there being metal in the man's head, but... well, this is perhaps not the right time to ask. Though she can't help but trying to identify what kind of metal it is.

Oh, great! Rocky road! Toph isn't hindered by the lack of spoons, and she begins eating the ice cream, taking a solid bite off of it. "I don't need a spoon, don't worry. And heya, Ziggy. Lots of you new people here, huh?" she asks. Man, ice cream tastes even better after breakfast. Upon hearing about the Green Power Ranger's ability she can't help but blink. "Oh, you teleport? Cool. Some people do that too." There does seem to be something on his mind though, and she arches an eyebrow. "Something the matter, Zigzag?"

Michael Knight (543) has posed:
Michael Knight says, "He's a Wookiee. Big, hairy, really strong. Throws guys clean across the hallway! If you press his back, he does the growl thing." Knight raises up his hands, imitating a feral beast. If Toph is curious enough, she'll find that the metal in his head appears to be an alloy made primarily of steel.

He turns and offers a hand to Ziggy. "Nice to meet you, Ziggy. That's one hell of a get up you've got there." He takes a moment to look the ranger up and down. "You a... driver? Spaceman?""

Ziggy Grover has posed:
"Oh, uh... I was just checking to see if the usual Big Sister listening in to me was awake. I don't think she is," Ranger Green replies, tapping his helmet once again. Oh, blissful, sweet, silence. No more nagging voices for once.

And then Ranger Green looked at the spoon. Well, if she didn't want the slightly messed up spoon, he would be happy to... toss it over his shoulder. Which he does, until one of the passerbys, a little boy, points. "Hey!"

"Oh, right. Role model. Excuse me. Uh, not a driver or a spaceman. I'm a Power Ranger! And I... am supposed to be setting a good example." And heading over, he picks up the spoon, walks over to a trash can, and tosses the spoon in. And then a pause as he spies something in the trash, grabs a semi-used napkin, uses it to wipe the rest of the ice cream off, and then tosses it back in. Ta-da!

"Bravo, Ranger Green," a voice in his helmet replies. "I see you're making yourself quite at home."

"Oh greaaaat!" Ranger Green throws his hands to the air. "She's back!"

Toph Beifong (20) has posed:
A wookie? Man, the multiverse really does have many strange creatures... Toph opens up the box easily enough, pulling out the figure, finds it back... and then /laughs/ when it growls. Even more so when Michael raises his hands and demonstrates as well. "Cool!" Well, at least it will be easy to recognize him with that steel there. Not everybody has metal in their bodies, and so far she only knows two people like that.

It does appear that Ziggy has some kind of suit on, huh? "Well, some people here have costumes and suits. Maybe he's a super hero or something?" she offers, her fingers inspecting the Chewbacca toy further.

"Big sister?" Toph looks confused, but she lets Ziggy go and clean up after himself... whatever a Power Ranger is. But hey, if he wants to clean up she won't stop him. Only to arch an eyebrow when he throws his hands in the air and makes his exclamation. "The Big Sister?" she repeats before she continues consuming her cold treat.

Michael Knight (543) has posed:
Michael Knight says, "A Power Ranger..." He looks Ziggy over once more, then nods in agreement with Toph. "Yeah, he looks like a superhero." Michael's hands slide instinctively into his pockets. "I'm impressed. I don't know if I'd go to the trouble to pick up the spoon, myself." The loner turns, faces Toph. "So, what are you in for, Toph?""

Ziggy Grover has posed:
"The Big Sister," Ranger Green confirms, as he taps his helmet again. "She has to be watching everything we do, just to make sure we're doing things right."

There was a skrrrt as Dr. K opens up communications to be heard on the local radio frequency near Ziggy. "Ranger Green is supposed to be currently recruiting assistance against the Grinders. Until then, he should not be socializing."

"Speak for yourself, Doc. How're we supposed to get help if we don't, like..." Ranger Green makes a come-on gesture with his hands. "Mingle? You know, you -should- come out from behind your keyboard sometimes, say hi, get a little sun..."

Toph Beifong (20) has posed:
Whatever a Power Ranger is, it seems like he has somebody watching his every step. Toph snorts as the unfamiliar voice speaks up, and she takes a break in enjoying her ice cream. "Listen up here buddy," and she uses the term loosely! "Zigzag here is providing assistance in the medical wing of Njorun station and making himself useful in the Union!" It's just twisting the truth a little, right?

And even as Ziggy argues with the peculiar voice Toph addresses Michael. "Heh, I'd just bend it into the trash can. Simpler. But I get your point." As for why she's been in medical now? She... goes kind of silent at that, her expression turning more serious. "I... was ill. Spiritual mumbo jumbo stuff." There's a brief pause. "I'm going home later today, though. So... uh, you been in the Union long? I can't remember the last two weeks, otherwise I try to say hi to new people as they join. You know..." She shrugs. "Just to try and help people feel welcome and all..."

Michael Knight (543) has posed:
"Yeah, cut the kid a break." Sheesh. Lady sounds like Devon.

Michael shakes his head in response to Toph's question. "Only a few days, really. I'm still getting used to a lot of things. But, I definitely do feel welcome! KITT and I had the chance to help out yesterday--he's getting his tires rotated now. I think in spite of all the complaining he really did enjoy himself."

Ziggy Grover has posed:
There is silence on the frequency, followed by Ranger Green holding up both hands. "Look guys, K's just... busy taking care of a lot of things. She's also still working on this whole..." Now Ranger Green makes hand gestures that seem to be indicating trading -something-... "Interpersonal exchange thing. She's been spending a lot of time..."

"That will be enough, Ranger Green." The voice sounds rather young, unfiltered, but tentative now. "Do what you will. I shall be addressing the other Rangers momentarily."

"Hey wait..."

But there was a click, followed by Ranger Green shaking his head. "Ahhh well. So... what were you in the hospital for?"

Michael gets a curious look. "KITT... got his -what- rotated? Is he one of those giant robots that change forms?"

Toph Beifong (20) has posed:
"Oh, good. I'd hate to have to dig through all those reports," Toph snorts. Kitt? Is that his talking car or something? Might be. Today has been kinda overwhelming with everything that's happened. "So what did you help out with yesterday? Or is that in a report as well?" She's a curious girl, that's for certain.

When Ziggy gets done talking with whoever it was on the radio and then repeats the question Michael /just/ asked her, Toph can't help but sigh. But she does respond. "I wasn't myself. Long story. I just woke up today, and I can't remember anything of the last two weeks. It... some nasty spirit thing from my world." Her expression hardens and she quickly changes the topic. It's far easier to talk about other stuff right now. "KITT is his car," she informs Ziggy helpfully, then takes another large bite of ice cream and gets some of it around her mouth.

Blurr has posed:
Speaking of giant robots that change form, one of them is headed this way. Blurr is headed toward medical to check up on Toph (or should I say Rocket Bullet), after the ordeal at the moutain shrine. The hover speeder appears rather suddenly, as he has a habit of doing. You know, being able to travel faster than sound itself, and all that.

The high-tech looking car is suddenly in front of Toph. "Rocket." He greets, a chuckle in his voice. "Or should I say 'Bitchin' Camero?"

    "Hm, I like Rocket better."

Michael Knight (543) has posed:
Michael Knight nods. "Yup, Toph's got it right. I don't know about changing form, but you could make a pretty strong argument for him being a robot, I guess."

"Yeah, matter of fact, it is. Look for 'Kingsmouth,' I think. Should be filed under that. That was the name of the town we were in--whoa. Hey there, uh, guy." Something of a car afficionado, Michael takes a look at Blurr, removing his hands from his pockets and crossing his arms. "I'm guessing you /are/ one of the aforementioned robots."

Ziggy Grover has posed:
"Aw, that's a bummer. But you're okay now, and that's all that matters, right?" Ranger Green's voice is cheerful as he swings his right arm up in a display of 'ATTA GIRL, POWER TO YOU!'

Looking up as Blurr transforms, Ranger Green -nods-. "Like -that-, yes. I'm impressed, though. My own zord doesn't change shape, it just combines with other zords to form a..." Hands sweep up in a big giant gesture. "MEGAZORD!"

There was a pause as Ziggy considers Blurr's words, and then he turns around to Toph, tilting his head. "You have a rocket?"

Toph Beifong (20) has posed:
"I'm okay, and as I said... I'm going home later today, and we're taking a few days off to recover fully. Maybe that means I can relax on the couch and just do some bending," Toph shrugs, nearly done with her ice cream now. At least these new guys here seem likeable, and hey, they brought her gifts! That's a great start!

More and more visitors to the medical, it seems! The arrival of the Autobot does seem to catch the attention of other patients and their caretakers, but as this one too seems to have caused no major disturbance, they return once again to their activities. Once Toph realizes that one of her friends has arrived though, she blinks and cranes her head slightly back, offering a wide grin. "Heya Speedster!" she laughs. Man, he's serious about that nickname, huh? "Nah, if Goldie and Pepper get busy with the oogies, /then/ we might get a Bitchin' Camero!"

Kingsmouth. The name is mentally filed away and Toph nods, all before she takes it on herself to introduce the much larger transforming robot to their new allies in the Union. "Zigzag, Mike, meet Blurr. He's an Autobot, and he's pretty damn fast. Especially when he gets babbling," she informs them. "Speedster, meet Ziggy and Michael. They're new in the Union." But something Ziggy says seems to confuse her, and she blinks twice. "What's a 'zord' anyway?"

As for Blurr's new nickname for her? Toph shakes her head. "Nopes." Why, it looks like she's not even going to offer an explanation for that nickname.

Blurr has posed:
"No, it's just her new nickname." Blurr chuckles, and the hovercar begins to unfold, metal plates shifting outward as the classic mechanical cacophony of a Cybertronian changing modes can be heard. "Tony likes it, and I like it and I don't know who else likes it but I just know I do so it's gonna stick." Well Toph hadn't been wrong about the babbling. He certainly talks fast. "Nice to meet you Mike and Zigzag, what's a 'zord'? And what's that you're eating?" He asks, peering at Toph's ice cream inquisitively.

Michael Knight (543) has posed:
Michael Knight can't help but smile--and wonder what a Zord is, too. "It's, uh... quite a nickname, I'll give you that." This girl has a pretty colorful vocabulary for her age. "Nice to meet you too, Speedster," says Knight. It sounds appropriate enough to be his real name--Michael's not familiar yet with Toph's habit of giving people nicknames.

Blurr has posed:
"Oogies?" Blurr gives Toph a confused stare. "What are 'oogies'?" he asks, honestly not knowing. "And Mike it's Blurr, actually. Rocket here is just particularly fond of nicknames. That's part of why we've given her one, too. Actually Stark came up with it."

Ziggy Grover has posed:
"Oogies?" Ranger Green echoes Blurr. He seems ready to go on, before Blurr asks the question, and so while waiting for the answer, he answers the question posted to him: 'A zord's a vehicle that's used for combat. In my case, a tail gunner zord. Dr. K merged vehicular designs with, uh... DNA and created zords."

Toph Beifong (20) has posed:
It's very interesting when Blurr transforms. Sure, the others can see. But Toph can really 'see' everything that goes on considering what he's made of. To think that the metal can do that just by his will, changing and shifting...

It's not like she can deny Tony giving her a nickname... and honestly she doesn't mind. Rocket. At least it's something that's supposedly cool, right? As for what she's eating? "Ice cream. Kinda like frozen milk, sugar and flavour. It's cold and very sweet, this one has marshmallows on it," she informs the robot. It's like... something you eat not to get nourishment, but because it tastes good. Zigzag got it for me." She even gestures to the Green Ranger as she sticks her tongue in to get the rest of the ice cream in the paper cup, looking a tad silly. Not like she cares.

"I got many nicknames," she states proudly, ice cream around her mouth as she sets the empty paper cup next to her and wipes her face. "My fighting name is the Blind Bandit, some people call me Pebbles, Brat," why, she makes it sound like a compliment, "though I also answer to the title Greatest Earthbender in the multiverse, and I'm also the inventor of metalbending."

Yup. The tiny girl has an ego bigger than her physical size.

Oh, right. Oogies. How to best explain that? She reaches out for Ziggy's hand. "Gimmie your hand and I will show you." This probably won't work on Blurr, after all.

Michael Knight (543) has posed:
Rare is the occasion when Michael Knight isn't sure what to do. In fact, most of the time, he has a pretty clear, boneheaded idea that usually involves either ramming something or putting KITT in surveillance mode. As it stands, he's currently frozen with his arms crossed and his brow arched, waiting to see if he should pull the 'I'm an adult and that's enough of that' card. As a loner and a frequent flirt, he's just barely mature enough to pull that one with any real authority.

Ziggy Grover has posed:
Nodding his head as though satisfied with the way Toph was devouring her ice cream (It was -healthy- the way she devoured it. Never mind lack of manners, one could excuse a child who'd been -sick-), Ranger Green tilts his head, points a finger at himself. Me? Oh all right.

Trustingly, Ranger Green proffers his hand. "An oogie. That must be something cute. A pet? You're a summoner of some sort, right, that's what bending means? Is it a little robot or something...?"

Blurr has posed:
Yes, Toph can see everything that goes on inside of Blurr's body when he transforms. And it's really quite the 'sight'. It's like whenever he stands up into his biped form, some of his body parts appear to literally come out of nowhere. Conversely, whenever he changes back to a car, those parts seem to just disappear, causing him to literally shrink in mass.

At the mention of Toph's various nicknames, the Autobot chuckles. "I guess no one ever said nicknames had to always make sense. I mean, 'Blind Bandit' really? How did that come about you're hardly a bandit and I don't think you're a brat either. Pebbles, maybe. Since you can control pebbles." Greatest Earthbender is obvious. Clearly she has an ego to match his own, and she's a fraction of the size of him.

He watches as Ziggy puts out his hand, genuinely curious as to what an 'oogie' is.

Toph Beifong (20) has posed:
Toph might look younger than she is due to her short height, but there is a knowing look in her unseeing eyes as she takes Ziggy's hand. "I'm not a summoner, I'm a bender. I make the earth bend to my will," she explains. Blurr's comment does make her blink slightly, turning her attention to the large robot. "It does make sense though. I robbed the other professional earthbenders of their victories and money whenever I stepped into the ring," she says, quite sincere despite her grin. Okay, back to the explanation of what an oogie is.

Without warning, Toph sticks out her tongue as much as she can, the organ covered with saliva and sticky ice cream. And she makes sure to get as much of it as possible onto Ziggy's hand before she lets go and sits back, grinning no matter what his reaction is.

Michael Knight (543) has posed:
Michael Knight laughs! "Toph, that's gross!" Inocuous though the display may be, it's still like the boisterous uncle of the Wet Willie. Knight shakes his head and runs a hand through his hair--checking it just to make sure no stray earthbender slobber found its way there. "You know his hand was in the trash, right?"

Blurr has posed:
Blurr watches the demonstration of an 'oogie'. "Oh, so they lick each other's hands?" He makes a face. "Is it some kind of human tradition that has to do with acquiring new offspring?"

He considers the explanations of the nicknames. "Oh, so you were in some kind of competition, I get it now." He figures it's in reference to being 'robbed blind'. "Technically that's not really robbing, if you won fair and square without breaking any rules well I mean it's just fair. But I guess from their perspective it might have felt that way."

Ziggy Grover has posed:
Waving his free hand at Blurr, making a gesture like covering his visor, Ranger Green elaborates. "There's an expression that talks about -robbing people blind-. So she's saying she's the Blind Bandit because she..."

Freeze frame.

Ranger Green's helmeted head swings down to stare at what just happened to his licked hand. "OOGIE!" Yanking his hand back, Ranger Green grasps the licked hand's wrist and holds it in the air as though it were on fire. "Oh... this is like what elementary school kids call -cooties-!"

Immediately, Ranger Green seeks to wipe the hand on Toph's head. "No more oogies! NO MORE OOGIES! NOOGIES IS WHAT YOU SHOULD GET!" And then... NOOGIE TIME.

Toph Beifong (20) has posed:
Gross? So what? And yes, she knows it was in the trash. "Does it look like I care?" she shrugs in reply to Michael. And as for Blurr's erronous conclusion of Tony and Pepper, as well as how babies are... Toph can't help but blink. "Uh, nooo." Seriously, who wants to have the talk with the large robot here about how humans do the nasty? "It's... well, a bit complicated to explain if you're not human, I guess?" Yup, she looks a bit awkward. Imagine, a young girl akward talking about those sorts of things? Who would have imagined? "... if you really wanna know you might as well read up on it in the library, I guess."

It's easier to talk about her past, at least elements of it. She turns towards Blurr a bit, even if she's not got her eyes pointed in the direction of his face. "I was the champion of the local earthbending competition and--" Her explanantion is cut off as the Green Ranger starts reaching for her unruly mass of hair, and her face goes serious before she quickly punches out with her left hand, two fingers extended and slightly bent. It all happens the very moment before Ziggy can touch her head, something happens.

The very earth underneath his feet /moves/, sending him flying backwards. And Toph herself leans her head back slightly, sighing. "You wanted the explanation, buddy! I gave it! If my hair gets any messier then Pepper will just whine at me to wash it," she explains. All of this happened without her seemingly looking in the Green Ranger's direction. Yet she was still able to avoid the noogie?

Michael Knight (543) has posed:
Michael Knight blinks. "You know, I saw that Wuyin guy throwing around lightning and fire, the other day, so I guess it makes sense you can move the earth. Still, that's, uh, pretty impressive, Toph." That she did all of it without looking at Ziggy means she either has some pretty impressive peripheral vision, or... perhaps, she sees using that 'bending' thing. "It almost looks like a martial art, the way you snapped your hand out like that." Knight approaches Ziggy to see if he needs help getting up.

Blurr has posed:
"Oh, uh...okay." Blurr wonders if the hand licking has to do with something else, then. But it seems to be an awkward topic so he doesn't push it any further. Maybe he'll ask someone else or look it up on the humans' public data networks.

Then Ziggy goes flying, and the speedster rushes after him, his arm flying out in an attempt to catch his fall so it won't hurt as badly!

Ziggy Grover has posed:
SRanger Green is sent flying, accompanied by an 'AAAAAAAAA', before he lands onto the ground. Momentum has him still going backwards as his shoes spark against the ground trying to find purchase. "Ohhhhh noooooo!"

Hands flail as he FINALLY finds purchase, skiiiiiiiiiiiiding against the pavement, leaving a trail of faint smoke in his wake. "Whoa. Whoa whoa whoa! That's ... that's -unfair-!" Swinging his arm back behind him, other hand posing in front of him. "That's just -not- right! You made the earth -move-! Did you see that, Doc?!"

There was no corresponding answer, save a sigh.

Straightening up, Ziggy taps his helmet. "Oh yeah. Right. Multiverse." And then a leap back up, onto Blurr, and over to try and land in front of Toph. "That was -nice-...!" he exclaims as he starts to offer a hand out. Though whether she takes that as another assault...

Toph Beifong (20) has posed:
If it's one thing Toph is confident in, it's her abilities as a bender. So when Michael /praises/ her, she's only eager to suck up the attention. "Thanks! That's just a simple move though. And yeah, it kinda is. I learned from the badgermoles and developed my own style of bending, most earthbenders use a style called Tiger and Crane style. My student uses that one, though he needs to focus more on the tiger aspect..." She shrugs a bit. "There's some clips of me from the WMATs I have been in. Or if you wanna sparr sometime I could do that too."

No saying that's unfair! "What? Your ego bruised...?" she smirks, obviously content with herself. When Ziggy offers the hand though, Toph blinks and arches an eyebrow, making no move to take it. "I'm blind, not stupid. Go take that napkin from the garbage again if you want to clean your hand."

Michael Knight (543) has posed:
Michael Knight watches Ziggy and gets the distinct impression that his caffeine intake is higher than normal. Then again, he might just do that because it's hard to display emotion with a helmet on. Knight shrugs, blinking away the momentary discomfort from all the sparks--where did those come from, anyway? "Sparring? Well, after seeing that, you might be a bit much for me, but I guess I could always use the practice. We didn't use any one specific martial art that existed outside of the military, but the closest thing would be either an Israeli style called Krav Maga or a Russian one called Sambo."

Ziggy Grover has posed:
"Wha... oh, right, right!" Ranger Green says, tapping his rev morpher.

A flash later, Ziggy Grover adjusts his jacket, checks his hands by sniffing at them, and then holds his hands up, wriggling his fingers. "Look, ma, they're clean. Okay, well mostly clean..." He studies his nails. "Could use a bit of trimming, and there's a bit of dirt underneath them, but at least the gross stuff's gone. I wonder what happens to that stuff when the suit goes off...?

Blurr has posed:
"Yeah and that's just scratching the surface of what she can do." Blurr smirks, because he's seen some real bending. "I would suggest a demonstration, but this is medical. Sometime later, maybe, when you're fully recharged, we can go down to the Ring and let you guys witness some serious dirt manipulation. And racing."

Toph Beifong (20) has posed:
"It's not like I would do anything to actively hurt you," Toph snorts. "Besides, if you fight in the Ring you get healed up when you're done anyway."

However, Toph looks confused after Ranger Green turns into Ziggy, and she arches an eyebrow "Okay, what just happened?" The blind girl seems genuinely clueless about what just happened.

Blurr is right though, and Toph nods her head. "Yeah... after I have recovered. I can't really cut loose today, I still feel tired and all after what happened. And I still need to show you guys metalbending too," she says, reaching out to pick up the empty paper cup. "Thanks for the ice cream, Zigzag. And the Chewwhacka toy," she asides to the two humans.

Michael Knight (543) has posed:
Michael Knight just shrugs, in response to Toph's question. If Ziggy's some kind of superhero, maybe that's his secret identity? At the very least, now it's easier to make eye contact. Huh. Looks kinda... nerdy. "I guess great power and responsibility aren't picky," he muses out loud. "Uh, no offense, Ziggy."

"But, uh, hey. That's perfectly fine, Toph. It was my pleasure to come visit--anything I can do to make a hospital stay a more pleasant experience. Just hope the food wasn't too bad."

Ziggy Grover has posed:
"Hm? Oh, I just got out of the suit. See, the morpher lets me suit up to be a Power Ranger, so the suit forms around me or out. I can use it to call my zord too, but that would use up energy. I could always get more energy cells, but then I'd have to -work- for it," Ziggy answers, hands constantly moving as he talks, a demonstration of magician's skills (or maybe a thief or an escape artist, given the way he moves). "So, I want to see this metalbending when I can. And you know, it's Ziggy. ZIG-GY! Z-I-G-G-Y!"

Blurr has posed:
"Huh, so you can summon that armor at will and it just forms up on your body." Blurr muses. "Subspace, I assume?"

Oh, right, she can manipulate metal, too. "You know, we should try it with you making a metal track sometime." The speedster suggests. "Uh, right. Ziggy. Not Zigzag. I think I got that."

Toph Beifong (20) has posed:
Morpher? That sounds Greek to Toph, and she still looks somewhat confused. "The multiverse has so many weird things..." she mutters. And as for his insistence of being called by his real name? "Calm your ostrich horses, Stumbles," she replies casually to Ziggy. The request Blurr makes though, that sounds interesting. "You know... that might actually be really fun! Though I can't promise you would be able to race that quickly as we did that first time we did it." Considering this, the blind girl rubs at her chin, then nods. "I'll think about how to do it, okay?" They will need a /lot/ of metal.

Finally she turns her attention back to Michael and nods. "Thanks for visiting, guys. Though I guess I should get back to the room now, we're probably heading home in not too long." Home.

So the blind earthbender pushes herself up from the bench, giving them a brief salute with the hand holding the Chewbacca figure. "Catch you guys later, maybe we'll do some field missions together in the future!" And then she heads off back towards the entrance to medical, only tossing the empty ice cream cup into a garbage can on her way.
