Struck by surprise, the defenders had little hope of succeeding in protecting the Dragon Radar. Serori's made off with the Dragon Radar, but Doctor Briefs thinks he can create a second.

The first Dragon Ball was found in a ruined laboratory hidden in the Yunzabit Heights. This former Red Ribbon lab once hosted attempts to revive Doctor Gero's android program. Without any Union interference in their way, the Confederacy easily claimed the five-star Dragon Ball after a short fight with the prototype android who used the Dragon Ball as a power source.

The second Dragon Ball was hidden in the nest of a pterosaur family out in the Gizard Wasteland. This time, the Union was there to get a jump on things, and to interfere in the bizarre Confederate plan for retrieving the Dragon Ball. A new version of Android Eighteen was met, who turned out to be working with the Union, and thanks in part to her deceptions, Ryuko Matoi was able to emerge from the chaos with the two-star Dragon Ball in hand.

Lezard Valeth successfully negotiated for ownership of the two-star Dragon Ball. A meeting with Psyber led to an exchange: the Dragon Ball was traded for a favor Nathan Hall had come to owe Lute. With Lute's sacrifice, and Lezard's skill, the two-star Dragon Ball has been claimed by the Confederacy.

The three-star Dragon Ball was maintained from the Satan Enterprises headquarters building in Orange Star City. It was a real surprise to find Mister Satan owning a Dragon Ball, but he might not even know its real purpose. The recovery got messy; there could be consequences...but the Confederacy doesn't care about consequences. The three-star Dragon Ball was theirs for the taking after they got the upper hand in the resulting chaos.

The one-star Dragon Ball was later discovered by the Union. Found in the hands of a candy witch who would only give the Dragon Ball over to someone she thought was "deserving," the witch, Granny Zam, challenged anyone interested in claiming the Dragon Ball to prove their character. No one who answered the challenge realized it'd be quite so literal. After a contest of humor and performance, the Union was awarded the Dragon Ball.

Just as the battle for the Dragon Balls started heating up, a new enemy appeared in the form of Kakarot and his Neo-Saiyan army. It was a distress signal sent from a far-off planet which alerted the Union and Confederacy to the arrival of the Neo-Saiyans. The army of conquerors was found launching an attack against a surprise target -- Reptilon, the long-lost homeworld of Genghis Rex! All forces, including the Red Ribbon Regiment, responded to the assault, working together to repel the invasion and push for a ceasefire.

Diplomatic overtures have been made to both Reptilon and the Neo-Saiyans. Talks are in progress; however, Vegeta's public condemnation of Kakarot has made peace a less likely result.

The first two weeks of negotiations led to a change of Vegeta's heart. He came to see eye-to-eye with Kakarot, and the two seemed to be well on the way to repairing relations. Though Serori had pledged to destroy Kakarot at the earliest opportunity as a means of keeping Confederate bonds intact, other possibilities emerged...until Kakarot struck a bargain with Princess Dei.

Kakarot attempted to assassinate Genghis Rex. Genghis Rex's life was the cost of Reptilon's submission, according to the clever Dei. Brachio intervened, putting HIS life on the line in order to spare Rex, who was soon evacuated against his will. Brachio's demise reignited the war. Kakarot declared he would not be slave to the Confederacy or Union, and made it obvious he intended to carry out the war effort.

Later, Kakarot attacked Reptilon in earnest. The invasion was stymied by Taylita, who challenged Kakarot to a duel for his command over the Neo Saiyan Empire. Kakarot entertained Taylita out of respect. He was ultimately victorious in defeating Taylita, but fell back badly wounded, nearly overcome by Taylita's determination.

Tony Stark died during this battle. He discovered Kakarot's lieutenants in hiding, and did battle with them in an effort to protect the Lava Dome. Though one of Kakarot's lieutenants was possibly killed by Genghis Rex's rescue attempt of Tony, it was considered too little, too late -- Tony's death was felt as a serious blow.

The fifth Dragon Ball was recovered outside Sebra City. As the first cooperative mission between the Union and Confederacy, it went rather smoothly. Raditz took this one home to the Union.

Meanwhile, joint Union and Confederacy forces working under Genghis Rex took the fight to Kakarot. The objective was simple -- to usurp Kakarot's communication networks -- but it required infiltration, which the ensuing battle serve to disguise. Yari Takane and Soundwave succeeded in taking over communications, while Genghis Rex utilized treacherous tactics to make Kakarot believe he'd been killed.

The sixth Dragon Ball was found hidden away inside an ancient pyramid. An ancient sphinx by the name of Nitakret insisted on testing the would-be pillagers with a game of riddles. Various other puzzles stood between our heroes and their prize, but these were bypassed using more destructive means. The Dragon Ball was recovered by Krezentia Einjager on behalf of the Confederacy. Lute came out cursed.

Kakarot resumed his assault on Reptilon with a diminished force. Now leading what he would consider a "suicide mission," he decided to assault Reptilon's bread basket in a bid to cause as much harm to the people as possible. He was eventually repelled. His oldest lieutenant, Toma, was taken into Confederate custody.

The seventh and final Dragon Ball was then recovered from an underwater research lab where an old Red Ribbon operative, Doctor Ranta, had attempted to further his research into android technology. The Dragon Ball was found powering the reactor's facility. Nox drained off the excess energy, and Noble Six took the Dragon Ball into Union custody.

Not even days later, Kakarot resumed his assault on Reptilon. He first attacked Fern Valley in an attempt to scorch and salt Reptilon's breadbasket. After he was repelled, he came back a second time for another battle, this time targeting the Citadel for destruction. Doing so would throw Reptilon's leadership into disarray.

In the midst of these terrible deeds, Allo brought Rhapsody and the Izzet League to Reptilon. The Izzet League proceeded to create and initialize multiple magical defenses designed to protect Reptilon's weakest points, including the Lava Dome -- the source of Reptilon's power, and the one technology preventing Reptilon's destruction by supervolcano.

Kakarot also answered several personal challenges of his power. Vegeta attempted to take out Kakarot once and for all in a devastating one-on-one duel that resulted in the revocation of his immortality. Allenby Beardsley, too, brought her Gundam to bear in an incredible trial of her epitome of warfaring technology. Neither duel resulted in Kakarot's death, but he was left seriously weakened.

Kakarot had known for awhile he couldn't survive his campaign. In those duels, he was given further proof of his assumed fate. His death coming for him, Kakarot had only one option for giving his people any kind of secure future...

The next attack on Reptilon would be the most destructive. Kakarot mustered what was left of his forces, and set his sights on the Lava Dome. Using his own flagship as the spearhead of his attack, he managed to destroy a significant portion of the Lava Dome itself, resulting in a shutdown of the Dome's control over the supervolcano.

These missions would take away Kakarot's greatest allies. Zuki, Gaplan, and Toma each fell in battle, though Toma would survive to be imprisoned by the Confederacy.

The planet began to shake apart. Volcanic activity erupted across the world, and dangerous earthquakes destroyed vast swathes of Reptilonian civilization. Even the Izzet League's shields could only slow the inevitable: without miraculous aid, Reptilon would die.

This was the backdrop to the final battle for Reptilon.

It was a desperate conflict. Neo Saiyan soldiers utilized self-destructive techniques to do as much damage as possible. Evacuations were disrupted, and supply lines shattered. Combined superfactional forces moved in to defend while a team led by Genghis Rex focused on eliminating Kakarot himself. Kakarot fought with the last of his strength. In his final moments, dying on the end of Gohan's sword, Kakarot revealed his plan.

Gohan was named the next king of the Neo Saiyans.

Surviving Neo Saiyans at once turned to serve their new king. The battle was at last won, but at a dire cost. Reptilon was not saved yet. Even with Kakarot dead, and the Neo Saiyans stopped, the Lava Dome remained broken.

Serori had the solution. On the next evening, she gathered together the seven Dragon Balls, and made two wishes. The first was spent to restore the Lava Dome. The second was spent to restore lives, including Tony Stark's and Brachio's.

Though Reptilon is still a broken and suffering world, its healing can now begin. |Info= |State=Finished }}
