Meeting An Emperor
Date of Scene: 08 July 2014
Location: Digimon Emperor's DigiWorld
Synopsis: Dr. Violet Hunter would like to meet the Digimon Emperor. A meeting ensues.
Cast of Characters: 468, 471

Digimon Emperor (468) has posed:
Within another Digital World than the one Doctor Hunter is familiar with, filled with black, monolithic towers, someone with enough tech savvy can figure out where a certain signal comes from. The Dark Towers, for all their scare, are transmitters, allowing the signal of one tiny Digivice to be spread across... well, wherever they're built.

A large rocky ship floats over the Railroad Plains of File Island. A Dark Tower is being built here by a few Mekanorimons, flying down and back to the ship with the parts. Near its base, the Digimon Emperor inspects the railroad tracks, apparently vexed they have a layer of dust on them. There doesn't seem to be any wild Digimon here right now, and that upsets him greatly. They must be hiding.

The downside of fame.

Wormmon is with him, tied to the tracks.

"Can you untie me now, master? The experiment didn't work."
"Shut up! I'll untie you when I'm sure that train wasn't just waiting for a victim like in one of those movies. Useless, slow Digimon. Don't they know keeping me waiting is a crime?"
"I wouldn't keep you waiting, master."
"I didn't ask you!"

Dr. Violet Hunter (471) has posed:
Violet is not going to approach this man alone. She has heard a bit of his reputation. A dangerous person. Albeit, one who could be incredibly useful.

Violet's approach is liekly to be rather easily noticable. She stands, on the back of a Kuwagamon. The Kuwagamon tramples into the area, doing little to mask its presence. Violet herself is wearing her standard getup: Labcoat. Goggles, currently on her eyes. Her long black hair flows back in the wind behind her. And, sitting on her shoulder is Tinkermon, the blonde fairy Digimon.

She is quite glad for her technological skills. Tracking the Digimon Emperor's location wasn't /easy/, but it was at least /possible/. And, finally, she spots him out in the distance. She is unsure if this is a man who can be impressed. But, she should at least try. Her head is slightly tilted up, just barely, to give her more of an aura of intimidation.

She calls out to the teen, rather calmly.

"You, there. I have come seeking the Digimon Emperor. I assume you are him?"

Tinkermon looks at the Emperor and Wormmon. The Emperor is an intimidating figure. But Wormmon... She actually just outright starts snickering at him.

Digimon Emperor (468) has posed:
"Huh?"

Ken turns around, forgetting about his 'partner' stuck to the rails. There's no train coming anyway. He's not in any real danger. And, well, for all the show, he'd probably pull him out at the last second if it worked, anyway. Call it a glimpse of hope.

"Of course I am! Do I look like a Digimon?"

Humans are pretty rare in the Digital World, so looking for a particular one probably leaves you few chances of finding some unrelated guy. Especially with the way he dresses, and Violet's technical skills.

"You've got a Digimon partner. Don't tell me you're one of those pesky DigiDestined heroes or whatever looking to dethrone me? And with a low-tier fairy?" He doesn't have one of those, though. Hm. Sure are a lot more species out there than he's aware of. At least, his own shades let him see things like a Digimon's level (though past a point it becomes blurry, especially around the last two tiers), so he doesn't feel too threatened right now.

Dr. Violet Hunter (471) has posed:
Before Violet can even say anything, Tinkermon chimes in. The casual laughing stops, and instead, her face turns to 'pissed off' mode. She stands up on Violet's shoulder, holds her hands forward, and then flourishes a lance in the direction of the Digimon Emperor.

"SHUT THE HELL UP! I'm not just a fairy! I'm Tinkermon! Strongest Digimon under the heavens! And don't you /dare/ call me weak!"

It seems that, unlike Ken's partner, Tinkermon actually has a spine.

Violet gives Tinkermon a look, though. Tinkermon almost seemed as if she was going to leap into combat, though she stands down a bit, and pulls the lance back. It still is out, but is just more casually held right now.

"No. I am not one of the 'DigiDestined', or whatever those who fight you call themselves. I am Doctor Violet Hunter. And I come here seeking a potentially mutually beneficial alliance. Though I do not know the full extent of your situation, I know that both of us have enemies standing in the path of our conquests. And together, we might be able to rid ourselves of these fools all the quicker."

Though the Digimon Emperor has a strong presence to him? Violet herself has a similar presence of simple power and authority. Most of it simply comes from belief in her cause, though.

Digimon Emperor (468) has posed:
"An alliance?"

The Digimon Emperor laughs, but then realizes she's serious. He sizes her up, glaring quietly for a few moments. Then he brings a gloved hand up, to tap his chin pensively. "Where have I heard that name and voice before... no, not from my Earth, I'd remember you better. Ah! That's right. One of those world-spanning frequencies I caught and tuned into for a while. You're that woman who helped make the MMO adaptation, aren't you?"

Now he might think himself the smarter person here, but a smart person can recognize a lesser mind's value. Even if his mind can't comprehend the idea this woman might be just as brilliant as he is, he can see her worth and the presence she commands.

"Tell me more, then. What do you bring to the table besides video game design and an uncanny ability to find me?" Well, nevermind the fact he's hard to miss, there, and his ship is floating up there like a huge neon sign saying 'I am here'.

Dr. Violet Hunter (471) has posed:
Violet finds herself considering her words very carefully. This is oviously a teenager who thinks incredibly highly of himself. And, in truth, he has every right to. The towers nearby, the technology to control the Digimon, and the underlaying foundation of his entire empire? Well, she is assuming that it is all his handiwork. He has created things she hadn't even concieved of. And at his age, too. Surely if he sought it, he could easily earn a doctorate as well.

"The strength of two armies is more than the strength of one. And, if we should join forces... Well. You stand to have the aid of the Confederacy, as well. A military force capable of conquering large swaths of the Multiverse."

It is beneficial that he knows who she is, at least, so she has the chance to approach this from that angle as well.

"You would also gain access to my technology. Though you are a genius, and truly so in every sense of the word? I have advances you have yet to find. I have resources that it is unlikely you have even imagined. And, combining the technology of two brilliant young minds would yeild far greater results."

Digimon Emperor (468) has posed:
"Hm. It's true I haven't had the time to dabble much in -real- technology. All of this is just code. This outfit, my ship, the tower. Code, letters, numbers, symbols on a computer screen. Once you know how the Digital World runs, it's not hard for a genius to start changing lines and adding things here and there."

Modesty doesn't suit the Digimon Emperor very well.
He reaches into his cape-- there must be pockets in there, because he pulls a few brochures out. Confederate propaganda, mostly.

"I can read. But getting your honest opinion rather than what's on this publicity would be better. I don't think Earth interests me much. It's boring there. Even if I was given free reign to improve it, I think it would still bore me to tears. I like it here!"

His eyes gaze sternly at Violet, and he asks: "And what would you and they want in return? New technologies and manpower, I'm interested in, but no one hands that out for free now do they?"

"And what about you, specifically? My goal's simple, isn't it? I just want the Digital World to be all mine. You don't dress that part out at all!"

Dr. Violet Hunter (471) has posed:
Violet smiles slightly. "The exchange is, honestly, quite simple. You simply aid us in our goals as well. Join us in our battles. And we will join in yours. Though you may not be interested in things outside of the Digital World? Your battles outside of it would only serve to increase the strength of your subjects, as they gain more experience in combat."

Her smile widens, "And... You may underestimate the threats to your reign. You know of the Union, I am sure. It will not turn a blind eye to your deeds. But.... Tell me. Have you ever encountered something known as the Dark Ocean? Or the forces within?"

She looks sly. Yeah, she really doesn't expect the Digimon Emperor to know of this land she speaks of.

Digimon Emperor (468) has posed:
"The Union... yeah, I think I know what you're talking about now. All those annoying off-worlders. They've already begun messing with some of my operations. It does make it more FUN, but more than I care for it to be!" Too many of them. Way too many of them. And if that's just the tip of it, well...

The Digimon Emperor crosses his arms. "Alright! That does sound mutually beneficial and like it oughta be a lot of fun. Sure, why not." He'll probably go to handle the paperwork later, though. The subject of the Dark Ocean makes him raise a brow, visible even with his large shades on. "Of course I'm familiar with it. It's where I got my Digivice. There was a woman there, who told me to go out and do whatever I wanted. So here I am, doing whatever I want! Haven't really crossed her since then, or gone back. It was a pretty lame place honestly. Little colors, not much to see. Why do you care?"

Dr. Violet Hunter (471) has posed:
The sly look on Violet's face turns into a frown. She is trying to hide it, but this is something that actually incredibly troubles her. Perhaps a bit of fear? Yeah. At the least, she now knows that the Dark Ocean is not just exclusive to her own Digital World.

Still. At least, it is another human who knows what the place /is/.

"I admit some surprise at your encounter with the Dark Ocean. I also admit some surprise that someone within the Dark Ocean let you leave /alive/. I am sure you can handle yourself, but. Be careful. The Dark Ocean is filled with malevolent entities. They seek, simply, to /destroy/ the Digital World, and the Real World. If you can safely weild power that hails from it though? You are, most definately, an incredibly powerful ally."

Digimon Emperor (468) has posed:
"If they want to destroy MY belonging they'll have to get rid of me first," the Digimon Emperor states firmly-- maybe a bit too dramatically-- as he uncrosses his arms and vaguely moves towards Wormmon again, who has been silent all this time. Actually he seems to be playing with a butterfly that has landed on his nose by wriggling it about. He is pretty calm for someone tied to train tracks.

He is being untied now, though.

"But alright. If that's a threat you think I'll have to deal with, then I'll welcome them to try and realize how silly they are for thinking they can oppose me. If the entire Digital World couldn't do it, then it'll take them even more to try!"

Overconfident, and probably dangerously so. Surely this will never, ever bite him in the ass and play a role in any sort of downfall. Nope, never would.

"So tell me about YOU, since you seem to know so much about me already. Your technology, what does it do? And how does that video game tie into your plan, anyway?"

Dr. Violet Hunter (471) has posed:
Violet's face is currently a bit blank, or perhaps serious. No longer smiling, but no longer as worried. At the least, the Digimon Emperor would be willing to stand against the Dark Ocean. That is good enough for her, for now.

But... Finally. A bit on herself. It's fairly obvious he would want to know about the woman who plans to ally with him.

"The MMO... well. I am still unsure about it, in ways. It was created with my technology. While I had some input, the fact that it was created, and then Digimon turned out to exist? It /seems/ to be a coincidence. At least for now. I am investigating if someone /else/ might have plans related to it, though. But I am unsure, as of yet."

"As for my technology... Well. I am the top of my field in computer hardware. While your focus seems to be altering existing data, altering code, mine is creating the hardware itself. The inner workings of computers... In fact, within my world? The Digivices are my /creation/, albeit minorly altered by the Digital World."

A pause. She may as well stroke his ego a bit. Best to keep him happy.

"I imagine a genius such as yourself could figure out the potential for technology such as that."

Digimon Emperor (468) has posed:
"Creating a Digivice? I'll give you a point. I tried making more of mine, but I just can't decrypt the code that puts them together. The Digital World seems to make and hand them out only to people it wants to. That's fine, though! If there were more of them around, I wouldn't be as special. That I have one is proof I was chosen to rule this land!"

His ego bleeds out juuuust a little bit there.

"From what I could research the Digital World was created by humans, but not intentionally. It started existing around the same time the first computer was turned on. Yours might be that way, but maybe your video game created it too. Aren't you worried, though? Humans can use Digivice to make Digimon STRONGER. They can use them to oppose you. It's much better to make a weapon only you can use, like my Dark Rings. I haven't perfected the design yet, but they're useless to anyone who isn't me, so I don't have to worry about losing a few. That's just smart design. So what do yours do? And how easy is it for the first kid to pick one up to use one to fight you?"

Dr. Violet Hunter (471) has posed:
Violet sighs, just slightly. She doesn't like to admin to her failure, but.

"Within my world, the Digital World is a result of data, as well. I would not be surprised if the MMO has affected it, but... The Digivices I created were originally meant as peripherals for the MMO. But, it seems that those who find a partner can use them for evolution purposes. This was... Unexpected. And I know it will cause me problems down the line."

Her face gets stern, though. Not really because of Ken, but because of herself.

T "But. This failure will be remedied. I will take out those who stand against me. And, though most of my Digimon allies are with me of their own will..."

A deep breath. She respects free will, but...

"Should any stand against me, you may take control of them."

Digimon Emperor (468) has posed:
Now there's a nice thought.

The Digimon Emperor grins wide.

"I have a few loyal subjects too. Power inspires a following. And some Digimon are just violent by nature. You promise them you'll put them on the front lines and give them the best fights, and they'll do anything for you. I love watching it unfold. If I'm ever bored, I can have something destroyed or have two Digimon fight it out, and nobody can tell me no!"

Compared to Violet, his goals are so simple-minded.

"But alright. I'll lend my towers and rings to your cause. Maybe the towers will be effective in your Digital World too. My Black Digivice prevents Digivolution, you see? That's why no one can oppose me. The towers amplify the signal. So I think I have what you need to plug that hole you dug. I'll share one of my mistakes with you in exchange."

He has few of them, but he does have them.

"I can't seem to control Digimon above a certain level. That Demon Lord one just casually ripped my Dark Ring off him. I think all it did is shock him. That means out there, there are resistance pockets led by powerful Digimon, and there's NOTHING I can do about it! It's FRUSTRATING!"

Dr. Violet Hunter (471) has posed:
Violet smiles. Well. Preventing Digivolving. That in itself is an /incredibly/ feat. This does make her have a major desire to get around it, though. While the Digimon Emperor seems reasonable enough, she still would want a work around, just in case... Perhaps she can figure something out? But for now, she'll file that thought away.

"Perhaps we can find a way to improve upon your design. And that Beelzebumon... Yes. He is a threat, and most likely someone who will stand against us. Though... His rage could also to be an /asset/, if we can direct it in the correct path."

Tinkermon snickers a little bit at this part, "Yeah, his strength is /really/ great when it turns against others. Like I hit him with my hallucinogenic nail polish? And he totally wiped the floor with everyone else who was trying to beat us up that night!"

Only in the Digital World would you hear the term 'hallucinogenic nail polish.' Violet simply sighs at her, and then carries on.

"This, though... all of this that you have done? It is impressive. You are indeed a force to be reckoned with. Together, we will be an unstoppable force."
