No she was fighting an Exalted by the name of Bitter Medicine so here she was in the arena in full armour standing in the stone slabs that make up the fighting ground of the arena for this match. She seems in good spirits as she waits for Bitter Medicine to arrive.<br> <br>

Purple cones of flame burn hotly, leaving dark embers in the air as the Exalt descends. Dust and detritus flee his person as he slowly descends, until he finally cuts the Charm off and lands with a thud. <br /><br />&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; His arrival is unusual in that he isn't scowling. Today is not a day to clean up after dissidents or to punish subversives. Rather, it's a day to demonstrate to everyone the might of the Machine God's Chosen. Bitter Medicine meets his opponent with a fist-in-palm bow similar to the one employed by the island's monastic order.<br> <br>

She's watches him bow and returns the favour. She's fairly graceful for one of her size given she's over six feet before you count in the slight heels of her boots. <br /><br /> "So Bitter Medicine shall we put on a show here?" <br /><br /> She grins and she draws her sword Dawn Breaker and readies the Mourning wall, which has names that scroll across it every once and a while. They are odd with the likes of Sachi, Gamerguy42, Madbro and others. The names however fade in and out and there seems to be no real end to the names either. <br /><br /> "Then let's get to it!" <br /><br /> She mutters something in badly accented nordic and golden runes fly about her body. When the 'spell work' is finished her blade bursts into flames and she rushes at Bitter launching into several quick swipes.<br> <br>

It sears his palms, and it becomes evident the idea to block the attacks barehanded was hastily conceived. The blade strikes his forearm as he reaches for his weapon, then slashes across his chest. The synthleather of his trench coat produces an acrid smell as it smolders, and an odd, decidedly inhuman substance drips against the ground. First blood goes to Tomoe. <br /><br />&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; The dour Alchemical bends backwards and makes an escape, leaping into the air with mechanically precise displays of acrobatics. Clouds of billowy black smoke cover his escape, as well as the approach of his weapon: Voidbane. <br /><br />&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; A terrible wail pierces the air, as a blue-black disc of metal with teeth like sawblades approaches Tomoe.<br> <br>

She's strikes a good hit but it's not enough she notices the substance that he's bleeding anf soon his own strikes with the disc? Will get past her own guard and cut into her side. It doesnt' leave ragged heavy cloth or armour in it's wake but a strange red disrtotion and wireframes but from the look she clearly felt it. She dances back a bit and starts to chant agains. This time sending a barrage of light rays at Bitter.<br> <br>

Most of them miss, thankfully, but with Voidbane on its way back to his outstretched hand, he's unable to fully protect himself from a grazing hit--it sears the side of his face, leaving an ugly wound and a distinct smell of burnt clay. The wound smolders, smoking lightly as the gyroscopic chakram lands neatly in his hand. <br /><br />&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; Hitting the ground with a thud, Bitter brings the chakram to bear, not as a weapon, but as a shield. A few stray bolts from Tomoe's barrage hit the weapon, and promptly explode into blinding-hot sparks. The sparks bend unnaturally away from the Exalt and towards Tomoe, becoming less an environmental hazard and more a direct counterattack!<br> <br>

Her blade is sitll fire charged for the moment and she moves attemping top block most of the next hit but the next attack comes at her. They are sparks, what the heck are they doing it's a mix of don't stand in the fire and she's getting pounded. It could be worse though and she lets out a cry as she moves in popping several abilities of some sort as she does close and launches into rapid combo of blade stikes that are moving faster than a baseline human could do, it looks like she's using some sort of sword art. The attack combo ends with of all things a spinning strike.<br> <br>

Her initial strike pierces his guard, opening him up to the rest of her barrage. His attempts to employ dexterity to break free from the assault prove fruitless, and so he suffers the end of it with several new gashes in his trenchcoat. The spinning strike at the end of the combo sets him spinning laterally. <br /><br />&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; He uses the motion to his advantage, his strange lifeblood flowing from his wounds freely as he swings his wailing weapon. Voidbane's hungry teeth spin rapidly, its owner first attacking with an overhead swing, then promptly changing stance for a crane kick.<br> <br>

Makes no sense. Well for meat space to be more accurate. he comes in Voidbane rips into Tomoe's shield and her self still catching her but it's the crane kick that gets her off guard sending her back. Firey wings spring to life from her back and she takes to the skies now dive bombing Bitter and striking otu with her blade, also on one pass she attempts to catch him with her shield!<br> <br>

Finding none to be suitable, he prepares for a counterattack in vain, the force of the sword strike sending rivulets of his strange lifeblood flying through the air and tearing the last threads of his synthleather trenchcoat free. <br /><br />&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; He stands now in a grey jumpsuit, stained black by whatever serves as blood among the Alchemical Exalted. He reaches his arm back for a swing, only to be caught in the face by Tomoe's shield and thrown to the ground, flat on his back. He's on his feet in a moment with an agile kip-up, tearing the sleeves from his jumpsuit and revealing his augmented musculature. He spits, a tooth present in the expectoration, and this time shouts. "Thousand-Wounds Persistence!" <br /><br />&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; He hurls Voidbane, but this time it doesn't cease its offensive. It follows Tomoe through the air like an angry hornet, screaming and moaning as its hungry teeth whirl. Each time it strikes, it comes back for more, the wails of the weapon louder with each pass.<br> <br>

She's also clearly seeming to feel the pain on some level from the looks of it as she does behave like something made of flesh when she is hit. She's clearly is being cut up pretty badly and her digital nature is pretty blanet she notices Bitter's own nature as well but there's not much time to think on that. She's more working to evade the void blade and she parrys it's strikes with the moutning wall. She doesn't dive bomb as she keeps to the air for a moment she drops down driving her blade into the ground causing a shockave of fire to explode all around her!<br> <br>

He is silent and still for a moment, then he rises, his back turned to his opponent. <br /><br />&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; The Exalt flexes his muscles, cracks his neck. He's flying towards her, easily at sixty miles an hour. His anima, previously sparks around his soulgem, now flares in full: inky black stormclouds gather around him, illuminated by flashes of sickly purple lightning. There is a constant, menacing sound of jackboots on a catwalk, the ever present promise of violence should one's behavior deviate from acceptable norms... and moans. A chorus of deathly moans erupts from the Exalt's charms and his weapon, and when the light hits them just right, the reflections of the clouds in the sky look like faces. <br /><br />&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; Speaking of faces, Bitter Medicine's landing wasn't kind to his. Half of it is gone, revealing synthetic tendons and white bone, darkened with his unusually-colored blood. He is in an immense amount of pain right now--but he grits his teeth and winds up for a jet-powered punch. "Linear Flight Principle!" He shouts over the roar of his Plasma Thruster Assembly. <br /><br />&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; He uses the Charm at the very last minute, right before connecting, promising a shockwave localized at the point of impact provided the attack connects. Otherwise, he supposes he'll just look stupid.<br> <br>

She was not expecting to take off half his face there's a moment where she locks up in horror she's about to call for the medics and call the match given what' shppaned. It seems however he's bake to so osmething else. The shokcwave which sends Tomoe crashing out of the sky she hits the ground impacting and leaving a crater. she does rise but she's unsteady. The sword and board vanish replaced by a japanese Naginata which she puts to use trying to close and just start rapidly pressing into him making use of the weapon's reach.<br> <br>

Voidbane meets the blade of the naginata with a piercing screech that seems to echo upon itself. Tomoe's strike is stronger, pushing the weapon aside and cutting a swath across the Exalt's arm. His hydraulic musculature hisses, steam flying forth from the wound where blood might have gushed were it simply his exposed flesh. <br /><br />&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; The Alchemical suffers a slash to his ribs, then grabs the spear, using Tomoe's momentum against her, and pulls his opponent in. He reels back his head, his sparking soulgem shining in the daylight, and promptly brings his head forward in a blunt headbutt befitting his nature--his forehead comes right at hers.<br> <br>

Her avatar is pretty messed up there's no way to claim she's a creatuer of flesh and bone at this point. The scream is a lot and she's starting to take some pause to this fight but she's poven she's not too out of it. She's able to make do as she's pulled in. She shifts her self a bit then lets go avoiding the head butt. AS she drops she grabs her weapon and then moves to slash with it.<br> <br>

Several precisely cut gemstones fly from the device as it clatters to the ground. Whatever it was, Bitter Medicine seems unbothered by its loss, or perhaps he simply conceals his concern well. He turns and catches the blade of the weapon in Voidbane's teeth, vaulting sideways to land on the haft. <br /><br />&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; He seems to become lighter on the weapon, running up the polearm and jumping over Tomoe. Turning in midair, he lands and aims a snap kick at her leg, then promptly changes stance and kicks with the opposite leg, at her ribs.<br> <br>

That should say something about his skill and terms of power. Also the fact Tomoe has just not turned to a fine mist facing him? Should say a lot about her too. The Moon Cutter is now used as a mean to get up close and just start kicking her. She doesn't so much as have ribs but the feedback to her brain is about the same ow. The impact hit her her body distorts a bit from the impact. <br /><br /> She's not finished she's got one last card to play she chants agian even as she attempts to keep standing, Her blade starts to glow brightly with light, she's clearly puting her own 'magic' into it. As the spear now is brought avbout once more she attacks fading in and out and making use of her agility to bounce about and otherwise seeming dance about Bitter as she strikes again and again. She makes for one last dash at the end beinging hte weapon's blade in trying to slice Bitter as she passes. All the while her weapons' trailing light.<br> <br>

Beset from nearly all sides by her, eventually there is a metallic clang as the Moon Cutter separates his arm at the elbow. Tomoe's last attack reveals an opening to him, and he takes it. The loss of his Perfected Lotus Matrix means that he is limited to mortal martial arts. Even so, he is undoubtedly a master. <br /><br />&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; His mind drifts to a historical account of a member of the Estasian militate, a man who, quite literally, single-handedly defeated an entire corridor of enemy skirmishers. He was awarded the highest honor Estasia could bestow to a mortal. The One-Armed Boxer became a symbol of Estasian pride. <br /><br />&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; The Estasians are of course filthy sellswords, but the legend is inspiring enough nonetheless. Bitter Medicine controls his breathing, switches his posture, exhales. With all of the strength left in his remaining arm, he thrusts, outward and upward, aiming behind Tomoe's head and purposefully impaling himself on her weapon.<br> <br>

She's crippled him but he's not out she has to wonder about something. She's about to come about for another attack but it's too late. Tomoe's spear inbeds its self on the willing Bitter Medicine there's a look of confusion on her face before he scores the hit the one armed punch is enough to finish her she's sent flying letting go of her weapon hitting the ground and seeming to explode in a shower of glass shards which vanish a moment later. All is left is a half meter wide bright red flame.<br> <br>
