Or is it, as she suspects... A Small Soldiers Scenario, where she has just discovered that the Company, creators of IFO2, were hiding the development of advanced human-level AI?

The c+xterm166Nascent Starc/ is the first, a magically created power source she wants to use to reinforce the ley-lines. Its location: Io, a moon of Jupiter, one that was terraformed and has breathable oxygen. Sadly it also has a bit of an aggressive killer robots from space (and time) epidemic, too. Infiltrate the Shinra storage unit and liberate it into the hands of someone who'll actually care for it.
