That, along with simply her own 'secret' fondness for fighting led her to challenge Note to a fight in the Shrine! <br> <br> &nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; The princess is spending her time before the battle starts with a little warm-up. She is currently elegantly dancing in ballroom style while swinging her hammer, her battle dress and long reddish-blonde hair flowing and billowing with her movements. She has a slight smirk of concentration on her face, apparently expecting a good fight with Note. <br> <br> &nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; The arena she has chosen is an open grassland bordered by rocky cliffs and dotted with plenty of large boulders. For some reason it just felt like the proper place to have such a sure to be very destructive fight.<br> <br>

The girl standing at the center of this display's hair drifts upwards and shimmers with light as she fixes VERY enthusiastic eyes on Sarracenia. Eyes that slowly shift from black to a light green...<br><br>&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;"--YAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAH!!!"<br><br>&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;All at once the golden power explodes from the ground at Note's feet, engulfing her in a mad blaze of swirling energy that far eclipses the little burst of earlier. This aura's sustained, billowing like a bonfire stoked by a wind all its own. And within that stands Note, seemingly largely unchanged... except for her hair. No longer black and smooth, the ponytail's split into an array of spikey locks floating almost horizontally behind her, and the hair on her head's no different - the shorter strands have all bunched up into upraised spikes in a pattern Sarracenia's now seen a few times...<br><br>&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;But this is the first time it's aimed straight at her.<br><br>&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;"My turn!"<br><br>&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;Note brings both hands forwards, palms stretched at Sarracenia, and...<br><br>&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;FWOOOOOOOSH!<br><br>&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;Very soon, the princess's vision will be filled with an onrush of blue-white energy coming STRAIGHT AT HER. Sarracenia grunts and is quickly pushed backward, but she remains unharmed so far as her heavy DK Hammer clashes with the power of that beam. Her grunt becomes a growl and finally a scream as she puts all her effort into the strike...and the beam deflects! In a nice parabolic arc right back at Note! "This is yours!!" Sarracenia exclaims loudly as she keeps her hammer in place, deflecting the remainder of that beam and emerging miraculously unscathed. Even she seems surprised! And very smug about it!<br> <br>

It tears up the ground in front of her the moment it hits, and the power it contains steadily pushes Note back along the ground. She just can't seem to get her footing for a good ten seconds!<br><br>&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;Until, with arms trembling from the strain, she howls with effort and FLINGS the collection of power back and over her head, quite the worse for the wear.<br><br>&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;Of course, that big blob of redirected energy flies off into the distance and smacks one of the distant rocky cliffs. it might well be a mile away, but...<br><br>&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;... But with a thunderous roar, the explosion of that blast tearing into the mountainside carves a gigantic hole through it and triggers a landslide. It would suck to be ANYWHERE NEAR that part of the battlefield right now. If a TOWN was near there... it would have been buried. An enormous dust cloud rises in the distance from the countless tons of dislodged rock smacking into the ground.<br><br>&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;As that's going on, Note hisses in pain. Her hands are scorched from that and she's a bit wobbly from exhaustion. She's never been put on the spot like that before. "Wow... I didn't think she could do that!"<br><br>&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;A few deep breaths later though, Note steels her will. Her stance shifts, fingers curling towards her palms but still open. If she had claws, that would be a nasty arrangement indeed.<br><br>&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;"Guess raw power's not gonna do it. Good thing that was never my specialty to begin with!" ... Then, what would look to be her - charging straight at Sarracenia - splits into TEN different Notes spread out horizontally. At first, they're moving in unison... all until they get about twenty feet away, then they all appear to be RUNNING AROUND SARRACENIA in a circle. All this motion's kicking up a furious wind of course...<br><br>&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;"You're pretty tough with that thing! So I'd better stick to real technique instead of raw power... like THIS!"<br><br>&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;The circle of Notes breaks as one of them - placed at Sarracenia's side, the one that logic says would take the longest amount of time to bring the hammer about towards - dives in with those claw-fists. A freakish aura kicks up through the golden energy surrounding her. It shapes outwards, taking on a strange... beastly flare...?!<br><br>&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;"New Turtle Style... WOLF FANG FIST!!" The power around Note HOWLS as she swoops in, plants her feet, and sends her right claw-hand strike straight for Sarracenia's gut, following it up with a ferocious flurry of similar strikes that each channel a very visible swirl of shaped energy into the blows. It's flashy, as wolf heads of pure ki adorn the strikes, but each one hits like a wolf in frenzy, grinding and tearing as much as it delivers raw impacts.<br> <br>

Probably like punching the material that broke the Z-sword, the first punch snaps Sarracenia's attention to Note and the princess displays her skill and grace as she pulls the head of the hammer in close, gripping it just below the head, then matches each punch with a short thrust of that hammer. <br> <br> &nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; Deserving or not, Princess Sarracenia is grinning ear to ear after that. "Nice try! But I am not only about raw power either!" ...she really is, but luck has been on her side today. The princess leaps back quickly, leaving a Bob-omb in her wake to explode near Note and give Sarracenia a bit of space. She twirls in place and in a few quick motions throws three bullets nearly as big as herself up into the air, each one with a shark-like face and little white, cartoonish arms. "Alright! I think it is time to end this! You have fought valiantly, but I am going to prove that orb wrong by defeating you!" she declares as she starts to spin faster in place. Those three Bullet Bills start back down, and with amazing precision Sarracenia strikes each on the flat at the back of the bullet. <br> <br> &nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; With the power of her hammer, each one is fired like a heavy cannon shot. A very heavy cannon, considering the size of those bullets and how they rocket through the air. Each grinning shark face would likely fill Note's vision before impacting like a freight train and then exploding like an artillery shell! Three powerful explosions that send up small mushroom clouds afterwords!<br> <br>

It tears at her body, scorches her skin, and nearly flings her straight off her feet... but Note stubbornly stays in place and focuses on her inner energies. Keeps the explosion from ripping her apart. Note staggers, coughing and dizzy from pain, but with a loud kiai uses her power to cast back the smoke and the dust and clear her vision. She never lost track of Sarracenia's position, but...<br><br>&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;"... WHERE DID THOSE COME FROM?!" Note's tired out already, but DOWN comes the Bullet Bills... Note shrieks in panic and attempts to KICK one of the Bullet bills back into another--<br><br>&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;But it explodes on contact.<br><br>&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;Surrounded by all three, she's sent flying like a ragdoll and bounces along the ground, arms and legs bloodied and scorched. After the third bounce the aura vanishes and her hair's brilliant golden shade fades back to black.<br><br>&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;She hits the ground hard, skidding slowly to a halt.<br><br>&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;"The orb...?" Note coughs and splutters into the ground. Her whole body's ON FIRE with pain and exhaustion but her mind's, if anything, strangely clear. "Oh..." Struggling against the exhaustion, Note turns her head to look at the distant princess... and frowns. "You're... that upset... over the stupid... orb...?" Note doesn't get it. She clearly doesn't get it. But the frown intensifies. "You wanted a fight just 'cuz that bothered...?!" Or maybe she does get it. The little youth's face twists in childish anger. "Ah... magic hammer. All the money... all this stuff was just given to you, huh?" It shouldn't be possible, but Note gathers her strength and slides a foot forward and rises to kneel, panting for breath. "You're nice so I like you, but..."<br><br>&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;She wobbles to her feet, though can't seem to gather the strength to raise her head yet. Blood drips slowly from her arms and legs as her body trembles and shivers weakly.<br><br>&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;"You haven't EARNED anything you've got. You think being this Princess thing means you don't have to try? Don't gotta learn? Nuh-uh... if all this is to prove that orb wrong, then I <span class="bold_fg_y bg_n ++ hy">ABSOLUTELY CANNOT LET YOU WIN THIS.</span> Or you'll never make it shine!" A bolt of lightning arcs across Note's body from seemingly nowhere. "You want that orb to shine for you? Then try taking hours and hours... days and days... weeks and weeks... and learn to do something like this!!" With a thunderous roar of crackling power, Note's once again engulfed in the familiar flare of Super Saiyan aura... but this time she's wreathed in a storm of errant bolts of lightning... and as she raises her head to Sarracenia and shifts her legs and bends knees into a deeper stance, the girl inhales deeply... and brings her hands to her side, palms facing each other, and fingers curled in. "Kaaaaaaaaaaaaa...... Meeeeee...."<br><br>&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;Brilliant light like a newborn star gleams, then roils to life as a growing point between those palms. It rapidly grows to fill the space, struggling to escape her grip. But the ball cannot. The energy's compressed more and more even as more and more's poured into it. "Haaaaaaaaaaaaaaa Meeeeeeeeee......"<br><br>&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;Note shifts her waist slightly forward, thrusts those hands out and opens her palms straight at Sarracenia. "HAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA!!!!"<br><br>&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;The radiance is blinding. A flash of light that bleaches everything into stark light and deep shadow. The energy Note gathered flares... then is unleashed in a torrential outpouring, a beam that's many times bigger around than her body. Twenty feet across, easily. It vaporizes the ground in its path, and the roar of its approach is deafening!<br> <br>

"And then that orb said I am not special!! ME!! So...I must prove it wroooonnnng!!" Her last word mingles with the sound of that beam impacting her hammer, and like the last beam she is pushed backward. But, this time her hammer is not making progress against the beam. It is steadily pushed back, and so is Sarracenia. Her expression tightens as she pushes harder, but the blue-white is steadily inching its way closer to her body. <br> <br> &nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; Finally, her hammer is pushed back fully and Sarracenia's scream is easily heard even with that beam overtaking and engulfing her. The princess's form disappears in the beam and the explosion that follows, along with much of the cliffside behind her. <br> <br> &nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; When the dust and smoke and energy finally clears...somehow, Sarracenia is still standing. She lost her crown in the blast, and her battle dress is tattered in many places, most notably over her toned belly. She is panting heavily and looks fairly bruised and battered herself. She even coughs up a bit of blood from the attack, then pulls a red handkerchief from her satchel and wipes her hands and face. "But...I still have to know how to use all this power that has been granted to me. Simply throwing it around haphazardly would get me nowhere. That much I have learned from you and others. I had to refine my style a bit, much to my chagrin." <br> <br> &nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; She smirks a bit darkly. "And I think you would agree when I say it has paid off." she says as she reaches into her bag again and pulls out a pair of Bob-ombs. "I must admit though, you are quite impressive to have survived my Bullet Bill Barrage. I think only my Bonzai Bill has any more destructive power." She starts walking toward Note, then progresses into a jog, a run, and finally a sprint. "But my strength is the only thing I have which anyone other than a select few has admired! And so I cannot keep losing! I will prove my worth!" <br> <br> &nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; She throws one Bob-omb, waits for it to travel a bit before throwing the next, trying to force Note to commit to a defensive action before having to deal with the next Bob-omb.
