She's got her rigging on, and her blade stored at the small of her back, though the fitting crew are lamenting this rig not coming back from the arena, just like the last three.<br><br>&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;The Destroyer girl steps out into the open to the roar of the crowd as the doors open, lifting a gloved hand and waving politely as she moves across into the arena. She stops at the 'start point' offering a polite bow to her opponent, "May we find victory on the dawn's horizon." she says, unhooking her hand-turret, and lobbing a few shells at Yomi once the buzzer sounds to begin the match.<br> <br>

Her sword case is slung over her back, though she pauses just inside the arena to lower it and pull out Shishiou, keeping it sheathed. "Oho~ My first opponent is a cute one, I see!" Yomi smiles brightly at the shipgirl, though she does return the bow, just as politely. "Good luck to both of us, then."<br><br>She closes her eyes briefly, taking a deep breath, and places one hand on the hilt of her sword, the other holding onto the scabbard. As soon as the buzzer sounds, she snaps her eyes open and charges forward. Her eyes track the incoming shells, preparing to dodge the projectiles... though she's not quite sure on the blast radius on those things. The first one, she outruns. The second, she misjudges, dodging too close to it. It hits the ground in front of her and explodes, but she darts right through the smoke. The third hits close enough to send her tumbling to the side, but she quickly extends a hand and turns her fall into a tumble, rolling with the force of the blast, though there are already some burn marks on her uniform. <br><br>Her plan in dodging wasn't only to avoid attacks, though; she wanted to get in close. Yomi takes a few steps, then suddenly moves in a burst of high speed, closing the rest of the distance. She starts to draw her sword... but rather than slash with it, she tries to drive the butt of the handle into Shigure's stomach.<br> <br>

:'''{{#var:685|Shigure (685)}} has posed:'''<br>&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;Shigure hooks her turret back into place once her volley is fired, and then, when Yomi suddenly appears in front of her, she tries to backpedal, digging her heels in and trying to hop backward away from the impending slash. The fact that Yomi's aiming to use the pommel to smack her in the gut catches her off guard, though her move manages to dull the impact somewhat.<br><br>&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;Shigure smiles softly, unfolding her backpack on the gimbal arms, bringing the tonfa-like weapons around for her to grab. "Fast... this shall be interesting." she says, opening up her secondary battery, little 'nests' of machineguns and autocannons unfolding from the turret caps, manned by her fairies who open fire with tracers and flak explosives toward the youkai hunter. "Then let us dance."<br> <br>

As soon as she sees the batteries pop open, Yomi quickly backflips away from her opponent, landing in a slight crouch. She finally draws the sword fully, slashing at the air with enough precision to deflect one of the bullets. Her motion continues her around, and the scabbard comes up, a thin shield that takes a few more of the hits for her, though the heat from the explosions still washes over her. A few bullets make it past her defense, punching holes in her clothes, though she just clenches her jaw rather than cry out. "Hnn.."<br><br>Her foot makes contact with the ground once more, and she darts in quickly again, this time keeping the blade drawn. "Interesting is a word for it!" She makes a quick feint to the right, then slashes diagonally downward toward the left across Shigure's body.<br> <br>

As that sword comes slashing down at her, she brings one arm up to interpose the turret and its armour plate, but she misjudges the angle, and leaves her body open, that sword slicing through her uniform, but instead of finding flesh, the blade rakes across her skin like one would expect metal, sending a sharp shriek-like sound and leaving a black line in its wake.<br><br>&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;Shigure grunts, and drops to a knee after the strike, wincing and groaning softly... whatever anti-spirit enchantment is on that sword works at least partially.<br><br>&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;The Destroyergirl stands back up, and with a quick shift, turns her turrets around so the barrels are facing away from Yomi. Why she would do this becomes evident a moment later, as the report of the guns heralds those thick, wide backplates coming rushing forwards, powered by the recoil.<br> <br>

While Yomi knew about the shipgirls, she had never actually fought one, so knowing that their skin acted more like metal against sword strikes was new information... and something to keep in mind. <br><br>That technique definitely catches Yomi by surprise. Perhaps she'll have to let Master Michael know about how effective it is, and she'll have the bruise to show for it. The plates slam into Yomi before she can properly defend, and all she can do is shift her weight to keep from being knocked completely off her feet. She still skids backwards a short distance, breathing heavily for a moment. "You definitely put your weapons to good use..." <br><br>She takes a deep breath, regaining her focus, and runs forward again, this time not quite as fast as before. As she raises her sword to attack... Yomi instead leaps up, flipping over the destroyer and landing on the other side. One foot plants, the other pushes, and she slashes out again, a horizontal swipe with her sword.<br> <br>

"Thank you." she offers, then tenses as Yomi comes dashing in. She blinks as the youkai hunter leaps, and holds out as she feels that slash across her back, cutting through clothe easily again, and leaving another black slice across her back. She stumbles forwards, dropping to a knee with a girlish gasp of pain and surprise.<br><br>&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;She doesn't stay down for long though, letting go of her turrets, which gimbal back into place over her back. In the same motion, she stands and draws torpedoes from her thigh launchers, tossing them like throwing knives... throwing knives that explode on impact!<br> <br>

It's just that these are explosives, so it detonates right in her face, sending her flying back and tumbling along the ground. "...tch. I shouldn't have fallen for that one." Ugh, and it's being broadcast all over, isn't it? They're not going to let her live that one down. <br><br>As she pushes herself back to her feet, Yomi takes a deep breath, gathering her focus, as well as her chi. She slowly advances on Shigure, raising her sword... but then stops a short distance away. "Ranguren!" The air around her shimmers, and the great Divine Spirit Beast appears behind her, its breath hot enough to make plumes of steam. Ranguren growls, then opens its mouth... and Yomi gestures to it. "..not yet." She inclines her head toward Shigure and takes a step back, taking just a moment to catch her breath as the nue leaps forward.<br><br>Though its teeth do look quite dangerous, Ranguren instead raises a paw as it tries to pounce on Shigure and slam her hard against the ground.<br> <br>

She's not fast enough when it pounces though, that large paw managing to slam her hard into the ground with the sound of something large and metal getting choke-slammed. The shipgirl is visibly wounded from the impact, but far from disabled.<br><br>&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;Arms still free, the turrets are brought up to fire into Ranguren's underside, armour piercing shells digging in where they strike before detonating a moment later.<br> <br>

"...It's okay, Ranguren," Yomi comforts as the nue growls.<br><br>Leaning its head down, Ranguren stares straight into Shigure's eyes with all twelev of its own. It opens its jaws wide, hissing loudly, and starts to lower its head...<br><br>...and then vanishes into nothing, leaving only a shimmer behind in the air to reveal Yomi, already mid-leap. "HaaaaaaAAAA~!" The exorcist holds Shishiou in both hands and brings the blade down in a powerful slash, trying to land a blow before Shigure is able to get back on her feet.<br> <br>

The blade comes down and pierces through the middle of her chest, causing the girl to cough out a glob of black oily fluid, and that same fluid to begin pooling up around the blade. Arms flop down to the sides and the destroyer goes still, her eyes glassy and lifeless.<br> <br>

She seems ready for a coutnerattack, but when Shigure doesn't move, her eyes widen a bit. Her free hand reaches out, pressing to the shipgirl's cheek to feel for any flow of spirit.<br> <br>
