Despite the heat, the din of the crowds, she seems completely at ease. Honestly, she's as close to home here as she's been in a good long while.<br /><br />    Her reverie breaks as the static shifts into scattered cheering. It's almost time. She lets her eyes fall closed a moment, takes a deep breath and then steps forward to a proper place to greet her opponent. Hands away from weapons, she strides toward the arena center, fully intent on having a look at whomever they may be, wishing them well... then getting on with the part she's looking forward to.<br /><br />    "I have not often shared the joy of such frivolous combat with another and I shall be sure to make the best of this opportunity. Please do the same!" She bows low, then straightens and draws her sword. The sword glows blue momentarily before the blade begins to weep liquid fire onto the arena floor. Oh dear. All business now, she offers one final nod as the start time nears...<br> <br>

His battle attire, a crisp bright blue suit with matching tie and black undershirt, seems to draw the heat of the desert to him. He grimaces as he steps onto the cracked desert floor, his polished shoes becoming coated with sand almost immediately. He takes a deep breath, wipes his brow, then shakes his head and seems to be engulfed by a light. <br /><br />    When he re-emerges, it's in his God-Tier attire. It pretty much looks like purple pajamas: a hooded cape on his head, with holes for his horns, short-sleeved top with the Heart symbol emblazoned upon it, and short pantaloons. He looks moderately goofy, but seems infinitely more comfortable. Wings, shaped almost like lightning bolts, sprout from his back, and he hovers slightly. <br /><br />    "Frivolous combat was the name of my entire game until I ascended. However, it was rarely against someone of equal size and strength to myself. I shall relish the ability to display my unique counseling techniques upon you." He offers a fangy grin, then draws a large pistol from seemingly nowhere. Seems he's ready to rock.<br> <br>

This is your announcer, Dimentio! The battle between Li-Ming, Nephilim Mage, and Prorth Edhuwi, Troll God of Love, is about to begin! A single orange pulse rippling downward and exploding on contact. She wants some space! Back up!<br /><br />    She lands easily enough, still supported by her magic, and follows that explosive blast with another sweep of her sword... No projectiles this time. Just a roaring, shrieking trio of fiery serpents that rise from the arena floor between herself and her would-be counselor. They haven't noticed their target quite yet. Lucky!<br> <br>

He takes a moment to gauge his status, then nods and raises his gun. He watches with a curious eye as serpents begin to occupy the space between him and Li-Ming. He narrows his eyes and nods at her, smirking ever so slightly. "Very well, then you shall have it. First, however, I think you need to be a little less enthusiastic!" He begins to channel power into his pistol, which glows a sort of golden color. Happiness makes you feel like you're walking on sunshine, right? That's what this light seems to represent. <br /><br />    He draws on the crowd's supply a little bit, then fires. A snapping report echoes across the desert as a bullet, being propelled by a bright golden beam, fires from the gun and straight toward Li-Ming. He then takes to the sky, watching the scene below with a detached sort of interest.<br> <br>

Her serpents have no patience for anything, really, being mindless constructs. They're frothing and spitting fire even as Prorth fires his opening shot.<br /><br />    The bullet impacts a rippling barrier just in front of her before connecting solidly with flesh. She hisses in response and the serpents roar, vomiting lines of fire that cover the arena floor uselessly. Their quarry is airborne and their angry breaths can't reach.<br /><br />    Their creator can, however. In response, she slashes her blade upward, sending a trio of burning missiles at her foe. "I had not anticipated this! Well played!" More swings, more missiles. Pot shots, supressive fire, call it what you will.<br> <br>

They thrash and spit fire but can't seem to do anything to him while he's up here, so he takes his time. Excitement, huh? However, before he has a moment to act on it, there are fire missiles coming at him. That seems unfortunate. They crash into him, sending the Troll back toward the ground in a smoking heap. However, on the way down, he rights himself and snaps his attention toward Li-Ming. His outfit smokes, and his hard gray skin seems shinier in places from the burns. <br /><br />    "Take this!" he calls, leveling his pistol yet again. This time, the electric blue light hums around his weapon, and when he fires there is no bullet. His legs buckle as he takes more burns across his body, cursing himself for not bringing his Prince's Armor. He staggers back to his feet, using the smoke to mask his movements. He splits his soul, seven bits beginning to revolve around him, each flashing a different color. Anger, sadness, confusion, happiness, envy, love, and excitement. His main body glows with the electric blue of excitement, and that bit lodges itself in his gun. <br /><br />    He bursts from the smoke, hovering above Li-Ming and aiming, lining up his shot. No words this time, just a massive rush of what sounds like wind. A massive beam of excitement, ringed by six smaller beams of various other colors, rain down upon the scene.<br> <br>

Li-Ming huffs out a curse under her breath, only thinking to look high as Prorth bursts from the concealment she inadvertantly provided. Caught totally flat footed, she barely manages to get her energy barrier up in time to avoid being cratered.<br /><br />    Still, the attack pins her in place as she struggles to hold what she can at bay and the effort is punishing. Her barrier bursts, subjecting her to enough of the attack that she is finally brought to a knee, forced to use her sword as support to regain her feet.<br /><br />    With a final angry hiss, her conjured serpents withdraw into the arena floor, taking their fire with them and leaving surprisingly little damage in their wake.<br /><br />    In what seems like little more than a controlled fury, Li-Ming redoubles her assault, slinging another fiery blast across the arena and following it with an extra few swings of her sword, joining that massive fireball with a heavy barrage of many smaller burning projectiles. Now it's truly a lightshow down here!<br> <br>

Blood, a brilliant blue blood, is now seeping from several wounds on his body. He stands up, smirking in a very disturbed sort of way. "Yess..." he says, "That is right. Punishment for being unable to deal with this opponent. More..." He turns his attention on Li-Ming, his eyes glowing a very odd black color, laced with red. This emotion is foreign to anyone outside of Trollkind, but it's very familiar to Prorth. <br /><br />    He raises his gun again, channeling this emotion into his gun, which takes on the very same glow. The seven bits begin to whirl faster, all of them mimicking the glow in the main body's eyes. He smiles his fangy smile, before turning the power of kismessitude upon Li-Ming with all its fury.<br> <br>

Yep, she's hurting. So, however, will her opponent as the meteors she called for begin to arrive, pounding the area around Prorth with brutal, fiery force! It's so... showy. Honestly... my life seems to be always tied to--" <br /><br />    CRASH. <br /><br />    Whatever the end of that statement was (it was meteors), it's lost as he is cratered into the desert. When he finally emerges, the Troll is positively pouring his blue blood out of his body. He falls to his knees at the lip of the crater, before raising one hand. He looks over to Li-Ming for a moment, then plunges the hand straight into his chest. Looks painful, until you see the shining band around the 'wound'. When he pulls his hand back out, he's holding a large glowing orb roughly the size of a heart. It quickly transforms... into a MASSIVE revolver. Seriously. The thing only needs wheels and it would be a cannon. <br /><br />    He takes aim, the entire construct taking on the electric blue hue of excitement. He pulls the trigger back, but no shot is fired. Instead, energy begins to charge on the end of the barrel. He holds it, letting it grow until it's double Prorth's own size. When it flies forward, it's with a roar of wind and incredible speed for a ball of its size. And it only seems to be getting bigger.<br> <br>

Nope.<br /><br />    When the blast from the massive weapon hits her, she's flung away, falling onto her back and sliding across the arena, sword skittering away as she's momentarily knocked completely senseless.<br /><br />    Still, the nephalem rises... She's bleeding openly now and her expensive silks are certainly somewhat the worse for wear. They'll keep until she's capable of caring. Right now, her focus, "You are perhaps more persistent than Diablo himself! However, we must end this!" She throws out both hands, focusing a moment, one eye closing as blood drips into it. As if on cue she suddenly curls her fingers and rakes her through the air, sending a roaring tornado of fire into the arena. It spins haphazardly until she throws another behind it, bouncing the two off one another... with one raging off toward Prorth.<br> <br>

He just doesn't know how the end will come. When the next attack turns out to be a tornado, he smirks weakly. "Well fought. It appears my company will be of no use in this Multiverse as of yet. More is required of me before I can be a success." <br /><br />    The cyclone hits him, throwing his lifeless body across the desert. When he lands, he doesn't get back up. In fact, he doesn't move at all. And he won't until the match is called. Once it is, a light will engulf his body and he will rise, completely unharmed, but thoroughly humiliated, before he alights and returns home.<br> <br>
