Location: | WMAT Arena - Yunzabit Heights |
Synopsis: | WMAT BQ1 Match Ganoir vs Wesley Wilson |
Cast of Characters: | Gaonoir, 827 |
Tinyplot: | WMAT 2015 |
- Wesley Wilson (827) has posed:
Wesley is by no means immune to the cold air of Yunzabit Heights, but he's incredibly sturdy and pretty damned good at enduring. So right now he's sitting at the very top of one of the elevated steppes, eating a chili dog that will by no means make him any faster.
He's wearing his axe guitar, Old Lucy, but he seems very relaxed while waiting for his opponent to arrive. He's not even dressed in any particular way that suggests he's prepared to fight. Just jeans and a Megadeth shirt, and some boots.
Some people!
- Gaonoir has posed:
There's no stands and all the camera operators and safely tucked away in pods, so it really does feel that for all the world that the man is alone with his meat and sauce slathered meal.
"So you're the one I'm suppose to be fighting, hmm?"
There's no sound or footsteps to alert one to his arrival, yet Gaonoir was now standing at the opposite end of the steppe, arms crossed while the chilly wind fluttered about the tails of his bandana behind him.
- Wesley Wilson (827) has posed:
Wesley takes a few more bites of his dog, before sliding the rest of it all the way into his mouth. He takes some timet o chew, staring Gaonoir up and down, looking sincerely interested in his own casual way. "Oh, like, you're one of those Digimans?"
He slowly stands up, then starts to stretch his arms from side to side, yawning. "I've still gotta find that Yggdrasil thing. Tried to pray to my dad to ask, but he ain't give me much of an answer. I still think it's inside a tree. But like, I figure it's my destiny to deal with shit like that, so I'll fight it when I find it." he randomly prattles off, still looking kind of tired. "I'm Wesley Wilson, the future Fight God and God of Metal. Uhh, Son of Thor and all that shit."
- Gaonoir has posed:
...
Which is followed by a brow raising a bit by the prattle, though inwardly Gaonoir frowns to himself. This is exactly the sort of meddling from 'outside influences' that he was sent to deal with along with the exiles. Shame it just had to be in a situation where he couldn't just remove the problem before it becomes one. Since it was a compatition. And jerk or not, he still had some competative spirit.
"Well then, 'future god'," his voice settles into it's usual smarmy tone as he uncrosses his arms. "Prehaps I will just have to show you a few things...."
With the wind already blowing it's hard to tell if it just picked up at the terse moment. At first it just looks like the Digimon is taking a fighting stance, but when he does so the darkness of shadows wells up around him, engulfing his form.
One has to wonder if the others warned him about Digimon doing this...
The ball of darkness undulates irratically, then bursts back apart to drop the dark canine's large, burlier Adult form back to the ground with a low rumbling thud. The Black Gaogamon's maw just parts into a big, toothy grin that is not all that pleasant at all.
"Like reason to not go meddling into affairs you clearly don't comprehend yet."
- Wesley Wilson (827) has posed:
"Oh fuck, -now- you're somethin' that looks like it can fight!" Wesley crouches down slightly, fists balled, bracing himself for the inevitable. "I don't give a crap about comprehendin' nothin'. I always heard all the crazy Yggdrasil prophecies, so I figure maybe it's my responsibility to fight the thing in another world and figure out what I'm supposed to do with the one in mine."
He shrugs, eyes shifting up to the sky in thought for a moment. "But I mean, I mostly just wanna punch stuff, and you don't gotta know nothin' to punch stuff."
- Gaonoir has posed:
Prophecies? The one in his world? What the heck was up with this 'human'? Might have to do some looking into these 'prophecies', for all he knew his Yggdrasil was the only one.
But that's for later.
"You didn't soil your garments and run away like most humans I've come across. That's a good sign..."
But enough talking. The bear sized dog makes a short jerk forward, and swats at Wes with one of his large gloved paws. "That this will at least be interesting!"
- Wesley Wilson (827) has posed:
Wesley actually takes the hit pretty damned hard, spinning around and then rolling across the ground until he falls over onto a lower platform. "Fuuuck..." he groans from his unseen landing, slowly rolling over onto his knees and rubbing his arm.
"That freakin' hurt, you've got some bigass paws." He stands, then crouches, and pushes himself into the air with the sheer strength of his legs. When he lands, he's standing in front of the Digimon again, cracking his neck.
"Don't know why I'd piss my pants, I mean, we've got dogs in my world too. Though I ain't ever seen a dog as cool as you." He suddenly leaps forward, spinning through the air, his guitar seemingly just kind of going along with his movements rather than getting in the way. Then he extends his leg, trying to slam his heel directly into Gaonoir's large head with an impact that -definitely- doesn't match the size of Wesley's body.
- Gaonoir has posed:
BOOT TO DA HEAD!
The foot slams in the middle of Gaonoir's forehead, causing his head to buck downward for a moment as his back paws dig into the ground to brace himself against the impact. As he strains against the strike it gives Wesley a cool moment of looking suspending midair with the kick, until he finally snaps his head back up to flick the other fighter off.
"Heh. I actually felt that. A little." But the next attack doesn't come from the most obvious of sources, as until now it had looked like the ends of his scarf were just flapping in the winds whistling through the Heights. Until one end abruptly moves in a way counter to the direction of the wind, snapping forth like a whip to grab Wesley and toss him back to the ground.
- Wesley Wilson (827) has posed:
Wesley slams into the ground face first, rock and dirt flying into the air. He doesn't even make a sound, he spends quite a few seconds apparently in an unconscious daze.
When he rolls over, staring up at the much larger Digimon, his face is covered in scratches, though not broken. "That was some crazy shit... fightin' Digimon is tricky, it's like fightin' one of those kung fu dudes." He stands up, then starts running forward, attempting to shift in between Gaonoir's legs. Then he kicks against the ground to send himself rising upward, attempting to uppercut Gaonoir directly in the stomach. "Usually I fight big monsters a bit differently, but I don't wanna accidentally kill you!"
- Gaonoir has posed:
"Your concern is touching." The fighting is getting more intense but that smarmy tone hasn't left Gaonoir's voice just yet.
Instinctively he rears back when Wesley dives between his legs, but that ends up making it all the easier for the smaller Scion to slam his fist into the bear-wolf's midsection. And with enough power to, despite the difference in sizes, flip the larger Digimon over on his backside with a ground cracking thud.
Afterwards he rolls over onto his paws, shaking briefly to get some of the grit out of his fur. "Guess you're not as flimsy as I first thought, either." With a grunt he launchs himself back at his opponent, this time lashing out with the actual claws instead of just a paw slap. Not to mention said claws are glowing with shadowy miasma of energy as well. "NACHT CLAW!"
- Wesley Wilson (827) has posed:
"The fuck?" Wesley asks as claws slash at his chest, ripping through his precious shirt and sending blood flying. Of course, now there's a cool ass wound, but unfortunately this sends him sliding on his back, once again staring -up- at the Digimon.
"Alright, man, you wanna do stuff like that, then cool..." He starts to push himself up, staring down at the blood seeping from his cuts. Then he reaches back for his guitar, pulling it around. "Digi, digi, lemme think... oh yeah!" He starts playing an insane thrash metal solo, the already dark sky beginning to rumble with loud, drum-like thunder. "Digi men, rumble in the night, fly through the dark to remove your precious sight! Digi men, computer spectres, Yggdrasil descending to wipe all the sectors, YEAAAAAHHHHHHHHH!!! Knights of darkness... remade in his image..."
He suddenly strums a single, hard rift, and sends a huge wall of wind flying forward to try and smack into Gaonoir's entire body.
- Gaonoir has posed:
Glowing eyes narrow a bit as Wesley ignores his wounds to pull out his instrument and start playing heavy music instead. The action may seem to be bizarre and impulsive in middle of a fight to some, but Gaonoir has seen the outright weird ways other Digimon can fight. Including using music. Which would be why instead of being confused he's all the more wary, drawing in a heavy breath himself. Sure enough, regardless of the catchy lyrics, the rift takes form of a blustery attack as well.
To which Gaonoir responds by opening his maw and with a howling roar of "BLACK VORTEX!" unleashes his own spiraling blast of shadowy wind much like the big bad wolf he partially resembles. The two attacks slam into each other in middle of the steppe, wind and shadow rumbling back and forth against each other. Until, due to the beyond mortal power of both fighters, the conflicting attacks just up and violently explode!
The resulting backblast slams into Gaonoir's bulk, claws tearing into the ground as he's forcefully shoved backwards by it, dirt and rock kicked up in the blast pelting him hard enough to leave cracking 'wounds' in his form... though unlike the gridframe other digimon show when damamged, there is only an unholy inky blackness beneath the exterior.
But the question is did his opponent get caught it the detonation as well?
- Wesley Wilson (827) has posed:
"Fuck, can't block wind!" Wesley gets thrown -up-, then falls down into an arc that breaks a part of the steppe's edge, leaving him hanging there by one hand.
His arms are bleeding and bruised from the sheer force of the wind, and he uses this moment of hanging to try and recover a bit. "This guy, man... Gonna have to fight 'em like he's a titanspawn or I'm fucked."
He slowly drags himself back up to the top, then unstraps his guitar from his torso, holding the end like it's an actual axe now. "You're a really damned good fight, but I ain't afraid of no monsters. I was born to fight monsters. My dad, like, fought giants and stuff."
He starts running forward, apparently pushing through his wounds. His eyes actually briefly glow gold, and once they fade, even if he's not any stronger or faster, his movements seem inexplicably more -skilled-.
He leaps forward, trying to slash one of those sharp axe blades across the side of the Digimon's body. "There ain't no way this shit is gonna kill a tough bastard like you!"
- Gaonoir has posed:
That's a pretty impressive dashing jump, no matter what his opponent may be.
Gaonoir turns his body broadside to the attack, letting the weapon slam into a thicker portion of his upper torso. Or tear would be more appropriate, leaving black ichor gouge in his side by the time Wesley actually lands from the blow that flings the Digimon in the opposite direction, slamming into the wall of one of the ruins that litter about the Heights. But as he falls off the surface Gaonoir twists his body to land in the shadows of the rubble he just hit. I mean literally -in-, as he disappears as if stepping into a doorway. Or a portal would possibly be more accurate, because it's only split-seconds later that he comes hurtling out of one of the other steppe shadows towards Wesley from the opposite direction.
This is one of the reasons he was known as the Beast of Shadows before anyone got his actual name.
As he abruptly slams back onto the steppe the shadow digimon calls out "BLITZ STRIKER!" and both ends of his scarf lunge forward in a series of rapid slashes with the claw-like ends.
- Wesley Wilson (827) has posed:
Wesley starts to turn around, but very soon he finds blood flying everywhere as his back is slashed into, and he's trying to actually get -away- from the slashing, before that -really- screws him up.
His shirt is in tatters, and his back is covered in blood. "Fuck, shoulda used the armor..." he says as he turns around, his blood flowing out so quickly that it seems like he could bleed to death. A few of his potentially -deadly- wounds get a little smaller as his eyes briefly glow a golden yellow, but he's still bloody and slashed up. "Can't heal all this shit, and if I summon my armor I ain't gonna have that much energy left. Gotta save it for the big stuff..."
"Fuck it, I'm just gonna have to go in hard!" He starts running, then -tosses- his guitar forward, making it spin almost like a buzzsaw. It immediately hits the ground and starts kicking up dirt, meant to mask Wesley's appearance and what he's doing. But then, out of no where, he bursts through the cloud of dirt and tries to jump right under Gaonoir's neck.
He turns around, back facing the Digimon, and tries to wrap his arms around the massive dog's throat and pull him down in a sudden -jerk-, meant to put an incredible strain on his neck, or crack it if this were any lesser Digimon!
- Gaonoir has posed:
The rules may prevent killing, but you'd be surprised by what you can live through. Really sums up well how both fighters have pretty much beat the crap out of each other already.
Again it's Wesley's godling heritage that allows him to pull off something that likely no normal human could do. That's a big beastly bearish dog of a digimon, but with arms around neck he's able to still slam Gaonoir down and forward with the heavy wrenching moment. Even with no neck breaking that is excrutiatingly painful, and it's only through a literal lifetime of training and fighting that the canine doesn't howl out in pain.
After a moment of digging in he manages to get his legs back under himself, assuming a sort of crouch. He coughs, then manages to cock his head to grin wickedly at the scion hanging onto his neck. "The rules say I can't kill you. They say nothing about making you suffer in the name of competative spirit." With that the powerful legs launch him into the air, with or without Wesley depending if he lets go quick enough.
Either way Gaonoir whirls in the air, his entire body becoming a big spinning ball of darkness that then hurtles back towards his opponent below, a bigger and meaner version of the rolling maneuver his Child form uses.
- Wesley Wilson (827) has posed:
"Fuckin'... karma." Wesley holds his hand out to call his axe back, then tries to hold it up to block this massive spinning attack. But Gaonoir slams right into him, rolling and embedding him into the ground. He only avoids being crushed by virtue of his godly heritage and using his guitar to protect his face.
He takes a deep breath, slowly rolling over with his pretty damned battered body on its knees. But he still seems very much capable of moving and fighting. "Man, all the times I did that roll up and attack people thing, I didn't think it fuckin' hurt -that- much."
He tosses his axe -again-, trying to save his physical stamina to recover a bit. But this time the axe is tossed -at- Gaonoir, trying to slam into his body like a rapidly spinning axe meant to take advantage of a rapidly spinning dog's momentum!
- Gaonoir has posed:
The spinning ball of dark canine actually rolls off Wesley after the impact, gaining a little distance before using a sideways skid almost like drifting to quickly turn around. Its right as he gets reoriented and comes charging back that Wesley throws his axe at him!
The weapon plows into his form, sending him skidding away from actually plowing the scion over a second time. Though at the same time, the motion of his spin is what rebounds the axe off into the air before it can cut deeply, leaving only concussive damage instead.
Due to being thrown off course and off balance Gaonoir has to actually unroll this time, paws digging into rock as he screechs across it to brake his momentum. "That.. was actually a fairly clever tactic," he admits, somewhat begrudgingly, even as he starts stalking towards Wesley once more.
You know how bears walk around on all fours, but can stand on two legs when they need to fight? That is pretty much what Gaonoir ends up doing, heaving his bulk up on his back legs as he gets close... Except instead of claws he balls his front paws into huge fists and attempts to slam them both down on his smaller foe. And you thought that still wearing those gloves were just for looking badass.
- Wesley Wilson (827) has posed:
Wesley holds two arms up to defend his face again, but he can't quite resist the force of the punch, slammed against the ground as he feels quite a few things crack inside of him.
He starts to push against the ground, trying to lift himself up, feeling bones buckle and shake as he strains his body far beyond natural human limits. "If you're a Digimon, like, a good one, don't that mean you hate Yggdrasil too?" he asks, though this question was perhaps a distraction, because suddenly the axe is flying at Gaonoir from -behind-. It tries to slam at him not with a blade, but with pure blunt high speed force.
- Gaonoir has posed:
At the question Gaonoir actually stops and stares at Wesley for a moment. Then that toothy, predatory grin parts his muzzle again as he leans back down close to his foe. "Oh my dear little not-quite-human, how little you truely know. 'Good' is such a subjective point of view... but," he leans in even closer, letting his voice drop to no more than a whisper to his ear. "I'm one of his enforcers."
To which afterwards Gaonoir rears up and roars, quite literally, with laughter. Unfortunately, like many a villain, he's caught blindsided in the moment of arrogance. The speed of the magic axe alone hits with enough force to actually pitch him -over- Wesley and crash into the rocky ground on the opposite side. It's hard to tell if he lands on his head or his shoulders, before he drops down onto his back and with a groan rolls over to stand. A bit more slowly this time, a bit more of those shadow bleeding cracks splitting his otherwise furry looking exterior. To the point that there is one dripping the digital ichor partially over his right eye now.
Now he's mad. Not that anyone is ever happy when interrupted while gloating. But mad enough that he lunges forward, this time going to snap up the smaller Wesley in his sharp-toothed jaws.
Alas, the irony of a giant monster beast trying to chew up a norse related godling is lost to him.
- Wesley Wilson (827) has posed:
"Fuuuuuck..." Wesley has no choice, he -has- to use more energy than he's intended, and hope he has enough for a larger attack. As Gaonoir is coming to chomp him, Wesley begins to sweat blood, which quickly coats his body in a thin layer of metallic armor.
It doesn't heal his wounds, but when he's chomped, it keeps him from getting bitten in -half-. Unfortunately, the chomp does go through the armor, causing his abdomen to start bleeding, but not get chopped in -half-.
He starts trying to push against Gaonoir's tongue and the roof of his mouth, suddenly kicking against his tooth to push himself from the jaws of the creature.
His skin might be covered in metal, but as he lands on one knee, he still looks battered. At the very least, his previous wounds are temporarily kept from bleeding out, even if they'll open right back up once the armor is gone. Unfortunately, he's still bleeding from the new wound in his abdomen.
"Fuck, I better do this shit now or never..."
He slowly stands, then holds his hand out as his axe flies back to him. He holds it like a guitar now, then starts to play. "Whosoever holds this mighty axe, if they be metal, shall possess the power of Wesley, the Son of Thor!"
He plays a straight up speed metal solo now, lightning beginning to arc across the thundering clouds. "Yggdrasil, automated god. Stop and fall, kneel, accept his mods! Churning out soldiers with a feverish zeal, conquering, creating, SUBMIT TO HIS WIIIIIIIIILLLLLLL!!!"
He strums -hard-, and suddenly a gigantic bolt of lightning crashes from the sky, as wide as Gaonoir's entire body, trying to slam into him with explosive force.
- Gaonoir has posed:
Try as much as he can to crush his opponent into submission Wesley manages to finally pry free of his teeth thanks to his weird blood armor thing. A few splinters bitten out of the abdomen section he has to spit out afterwards, then makes a face. Actual blood has such a weird taste to it. Makes him kind of glad most digimon don't bleed like that.
As Wesley starts singing again Gaonoir narrows his eyes even farther. Partially at how some of those lyrics are way too accurate to be a coincidence. How much have Duke and his allies been telling others? Or does this nutjob just have some magical song writing power?
Mulling over that will have to wait for another time though, as a massive bolt of summoned lightning slams into him, the electrical blast briefly lighting up the ruined Heights with it's fury.
But afterwards a now smoking as well as battered beast still stands. Though much like his foe's godly heritage it is mainly due to the dark code spliced into his own that Gaonoir is still standing at all by this point.
Claws tear off the ground as he launchs towards Wesley once more, this time with whirls of dark energy whisping around, drawing off the shadows nearby, bolstering his remaining strength with it through his shadowplay manipulations. Until it's not just him that's threatening to slam into Wesley, but the larger beastly aura churning around him as well.
- Wesley Wilson (827) has posed:
"Fuck, man, you still ain't down?!" Wesley asks as he starts to seem downright exhausted by now. But Gaonoir will likely have noticed that his skill seems to -still- be increasing quite rapidly as he becomes more wounded.
"Don't got enough energy for another one..." His eyes widen though. This is going to -hurt-. So he tries to hold his guitar out in another attempt to stop it, and upon impact his armor goes -tearing- off of his skin, sending blood flying through the air and his guitar falling down into some far off abyss.
He's laid out, his shirt barely strings of fabric now, pants tattered, blond hair bloody. "I still ain't done..." he says "Fuck..." He starts pulling himself up again, this time without any armor to cover his once again bleeding wounds.
"I've gotta show those digi dudes that I can handle one of you guys. And I've gotta show you what kinda business I mean... Damn, what would my dad do..."
He looks around, as if trying to find an answer to the question. Then he looks down in between his feet. There's a big rock, about the size of a basketball. "Oh, fuckin' duh."
He grabs the large rock, which, in his hands, by virtue of divine power, is -significantly- harder than it was before he decided to wield it. "Let's do this shit."
"ROCK!!!" he starts to run toward the digimon. "AND!!!" then he starts to roll across the ground, feeling the pain of fractured and broken bones, not to mention countless wounds, but pushing through it anyway. "ROOOOLLLLLLLLLLLLL!!!"
He pops into the air, spinning rapidly, then he stretches his entire body out in an attempt to slam the large rock directly into the digimon's head.
- Gaonoir has posed:
Despite all his prideful bluster the fight has not been an easy one on Gaonoir either. He almost falters to the ground once the shadows have withered away from the attack, but steadies himself, still managing a moderately fierce snarl. "Then come show me what you can really"
Wesley leaps into the air with a huge hardened rock. ".. do?"
*KABONG*
To his credit, the impact with Gaonoir's head is enough to -shatter- the rock despite it's empowerment via Wesley's divine connections. He teeters to one side afterwards, then the other, then manages in a way almost drunk-like to leer forward, just a few inches from Wesley's face. And still, somehow, managing a bit of lopsided smile.
"Just remember.. to play by the rules of the compatition... that was... going easy..." No killing rules and all that.
Though as he does finally keel over backwards and collapse it does leave prehaps one worrying thing to come to mind.
THAT was 'going easy'?...
- Wesley Wilson (827) has posed:
"Well fuck, I can't wait 'till we try an' kill each other." Wesley says after he lands, then very slowly limps over to the digimon, falling down into his fur. "Fuckin' comfortable..." he says after he begins drifting off to sleep. "By the way, I fuckin' won, I'm just takin' a nap." he says for the cameras, right before closing his eyes.
