Well that was... fun!

Elliana quietly reclined in her chair, sighing pleasantly. It had initially been fatigueing, but now she was feeling right as rain again. The battle for North Star had not resulted in a victory, per se, but they had time. No need to get reckless, after all. And Viridian had allowed her to guide that magnificent beast as well. A pity the Juggernaut only craved destruction... she could sense it had so much more potential.

Despite her reputation, Elliana was not wholly given to chaos and destruction.

Something was bothering her, though. The priestess frowned, toying with a picture in her hand. The picture was... sentimental. Something she hid from her new companions, something she was not sure even the Union knew she had. Eight people were there, all lined up and ready for some sort of expedition.

Herself, bright and smiling, a mask and a deception but one that she... wouldn't have minded if it were real.

Nathan Hall, stoic and prepared as always. So trusting. So willing.

Psyber, with that cocky grin and arrogant swagger, so sure he could save the world.

Unyielding Rampart and his boundless optimism in what is right.

George, frightened and flustered, but so ready to help... and so sharp a mind.

Kevin, flirtatious yet dedicated all the same.

Himei, sour and gloomy yet determined to make a difference.

Amalthea, proud of her sword and shield, and well worthy of it.

It was the last time they'd met on such friendly terms, all together. So many powerful Elites, perfect for her purposes... partially because of the bonds she shared with many of them.

She closed the box holding it, then quietly returned it to its place, to be taken down the next time she is reminded of them. Of course, the real reason is... she hadn't seen them in so long. Not even at the battle today, despite how achingly they needed at least one of that group. While not impossible, it was strange. Normally her presence brought at least one running...

No matter. She had made her choice. Now victory was within easy reach.

Time to get to work.
