Before the calamity, the Adventures guild used magical cards called leves to hand out jobs and mission assignments to would-be adventurers who needed a bit of coin in their pouch. These cards had metal thick edges and mosaic like patterns in the middle to give a concept of what the leve mission was about and the instructions on the other side crafted in by aetheric magic.
Within the cards the aetheric forces would keep track of the mission and once the mission was done an aetheric portal would open allowing the adventure and their group to travel back to turn in the card and get their sum of gil.
Yet with the crash of Dalamud and the unleashing of Bahamut, the aetheric flow changed. This not only brought down the old aetherytes and many of the aetheric gates, but destroyed the ability of linkshells and also that of the leves. Though Aetherytes were the first thing to be quickly replaced and many others still being so and the Linkshells now coming back to provide those with linkpearls-- at least by the Grand companies (not by the public yet). Leves are still a thing that is lacking as the aetheric flow is still too chaotic to make these work.
And so, with the help of the Moogles, the three Adventure guilds across Eorzea, including grouping up with a few other organizations, have created the Mission Boards! These Mission boards are for Adventures within and outside of Eorzea to locate jobs that can be done and perhaps get a good some of currency out of it.
Now, come and check the board and see if there is a task to your liking!

When it comes to scenes that require a GM. This will be based on the requirements.
Light GM represents you can GM it and I'll send you an @mail going over some of the details so you have a bit of a guideline on how to run the 'whatever' that is going on in that scene.
Heavy GM represents where I need to step in as the GM. This is where I am willing to work out a schedule time with you and anyone who you may be interested in bring along.

The Amalj'aa are a lizardfolk race that are slightly taller than a man and are heavily muscular in structure. They have powerful tails, strong jaws, and a grasp that can easily pick a full grown man up in one hand. There scales are normally very dark brown in color to black and they tend to wear tribal like armor. They are known for using martial type weapons such as lances and their own fists, and some use different types of fire magic due to their worship of the Primal, Ifrit.
The Amalj'aa are located in the great desert of Thanalan around the mighty city of Ul’Dah. Because of their ties to the Primal Ifrit, they tend to be a constant problem for the large city and are known to go after caravans of trade goods, mostly targeting the crystals that have aether within them. There is however a splinter group of Amalj'aa, though small it may be, called the Brotherhood of Ash. The Brotherhood is what remains of what the Amalj'aa were like before they were corrupted by the taint of Ifrit and tend to be friendly to the people of Eorzea, and sworn enemies to there once brothers and sisters. |
