This is an index of commands used on the MUSH. Simple code will be explained on this page without further documentation, while more complicated code will have a link to an expanded help document.

Note that, when something uses a stand-in like <text>, it is usually a placeholder for user input.

This is a work-in-progress!

Syntax Usage
+admin Lists the Administrators on the MUSH. Do not bother off-duty Admin except in an emergency!
+adv <target>, +adv/<switch> <target> Shows the target player's Advantages. Replacement for the old +powers system. Switches include Powers, Skills, Assets, and NPCs. Long-form is +Advantages <Target>.
+appinfo Displays a 'scoreboard' of what's going on application-wise. With the exception of the "bug" time indicated second from the top, these are rough estimates, not promises.
+castlist Lists all themelistings that currently have somebody in them.
+cast <text> This command shows all casts and those in them that have whatever string of text you enter in place of <text>.
+chatoff & +chaton Adds or removes you from the Guest channel, depending on which you use.
+dice <numofdice>d<numofsides> Rolls <numofdice> of <numofsides> dice and announces the results to the room. For example, +dice 1d10 rolls one ten-sided die.
+done Displays a highlighted message that you are done. This is usually to keep track of who has posed in large scenes, for the convenience of the GM as well as other players.
+fachead Displays a list of facheads, similar to +admin.
+feedback <title>=<text> This is a command for sending a message to the MUSH's staff. It is often used to solicit opinions from the playerbase, and of course you are welcome to submit requests/comments/concerns via feedback independently of staff inquiry. If you need to get our attention in a hurry, this is a good way to do it.

Due to abuse of +feedback's anonymity, identification information will be logged, but only accessible by the System Administrator and HeadWiz. <Title> must not contain a / or = and must be less than or equal to 24 characters in length.

Example: +feedback Pie=Pie tastes good.

+flaws <target> Displays the target's +flaws/Disadvantages.
+flip Simple coin flip that gives you a heads or tails result.
+formatters, +formatter <Number or Name> Lists the room formatters that can be used or switched between. The second syntax sets your formatter. This is pretty much just 'how the MUSH's rooms look to you.'
+gohome Teleports you to your preset home. You must be IC and have set a home with +sethome to use this.
+gripe <name>=<Text> Used for sending complaints about a player to staff. Due to abuse of +gripe's anonymity, identification information will be logged, but only accessible by the System Administrator and HeadWiz.
+healinfo Shows you the current setup of healing times (how long it takes to recover from a fight), relevant modifiers, and how they interact.
+help, +help <topic> +help/<submenu>, +help/<submenu> topic Displays the +help index, the +help file for the specific topic, the +help index for a particular submenu, and a +help file within a specific submenu respectively.
+help/search <text> Searches the database for the text <text>. For example, +help/search afinger will return '+help alerts'.
+idle, +idle <message> First syntax sets you idle with the default reason 'Idle' if you are not already set idle. If you are, it will clear you from being idle. Second syntax sets yourself idle with the reason provided in <message>. An OOC message will be announced upon first setting your idle or clearing it.
+info/help Gives you an overview of the +info system, which can supplement your profile, advantages, and disadvantages for extended character information.
+invite <person> Sends a request to another player to either +summon you to their location, or to +join you at your own.
+join <person> If the target is in a public room, this will move you to them. If they are set unfindable or are in a protected room, they will need to +invite you first.
+map, +map <player> Displays the map, if your current location has one. If not, the global map will display. Your current location will be highlighted in red. If you specify the name of another player, it will highlight that player's location instead.
+nexus Takes you to the Starting Nexus, which allows you to go to a wide variety of possible places on the IC grid. Does not work while OOC.
+oldgrid Takes you to our old grid. Legacy command, not much point to it unless you're an old character who left stuff on the old grid.
+ooc <message>, +ooc :pose, +ooc ;pose Allows one to make a statement or power with <OOC> prefixed, to allow those in the room to know that the statement/pose/etc. is OOC.
+oocfinger <target> Shows the +oocfinger information for <target>, i.e. '+oocfinger Ash' would show the +oocfinger info for Ash. OOC Fingers are customizable areas for information such as how you play your character or to tell a bit about yourself. To modify your OOC finger, type '&attributename me=Info'; for instance, &plan me=This is my plan!
+plots Shows the plot tracker. Used for tracking ongoing plots and their schedules.
+port <Name or Number> An easy way to get around the grid! The name does not need to be exact, but if there are multiple matches it will list them instead of porting you. Using the number (#1070 for instance) will always work. To get a list of rooms and room numbers, use +roomlist.
+themelist/powers <THEMELIST-#> View the cast +powers that a themelisting has. Much like using +advantages, or the old +powers command on another player, save that the listed powers are almost always readily available within the target themelist.
+radio/on, +radio/off, +radio <Target or Target List>=<Message> Turns your in character radio on or off, and lets you send +radio messages to a target player or multiple target players.
ranks Lists faction, rank, and idle time of players in your current location.
+rchannel <description>=<colors of channel name> Creates a supplemental chat channel. It will have a name like this: #X-Supplemental. You can only request one at a time. It will remain for 1h15m after everyone on the channel has gone idle, and then it will delete itself. The colors are based on ansi color, which can be found in Help Ansi() on the MUSH.

So, for example, +rchannel TP Scene Channel=r would produce 1X-Supplemental, with a dark red channel color.

+report <Subject>=<Body> This is a form of +feedback that will be sent to the facheads in addition to the admin. It should be used for the purposes of reporting things relevant to the facheads: Promotion suggestions, complaints of misuse of officer authority, or to get their attention for capture/infiltration/defection requests.

As with +feedback and +gripe, this is mostly anonymous unless you sign your name, so if you want to be known as having submitted something you will need to sign it yourself in the body of the report.
