Characters are the "Roles" in "Role Play". This news file covers Multiverse Crisis MUSH's character policies, including alts, alt interaction, idle policy, etc.
1. All players may have up to 6 characters at a time. A 7th and 8th slot may be requested, but approval is on a per-application basis (that is, you must ask every time you drop your 7th or 8th character and want a new one) and does not persist between 7th/8th alts.
2. Characters from MU*'s we've absorbed don't count towards character limits.
3. Players may keep secret alts. This is a privilege that may be revoked based on how it is used, staff will ALWAYS know who secret alts are, and special circumstances may require they be revealed.
4. A player's alts may interact in limited doses only. This should never give either alt an undue or unfair advantage, and should not result in players who AREN'T using multiple characters in a scene losing RP to the person who is. Most importantly, DON'T RP WITH YOURSELF.
5. One player may not play two, closely-related characters. For example, you cannot play both Dr. Wily and Megaman, or Harry Potter and Ron Weasley.
6. Our idle policy is simple. Depending on your character type (FC, OFC, OC, etc.) your character will appear on our idle list if you don't log on for 30-60 days. We'll make a post showing who is on this list, and you can log them on to not get @nuked. If you appear on this list more than once every so often, you will be flagged and considered for removal from that character. Complaints that you have been logged on to duck the idle nuke can also result in flagging and character removal.
