- Mako Mankanshoku (191) has posed:
TWELVE HOURS AGO, MANKANSHOKU RESIDENCE
"I'm going out for my tournament match!" Mako announces, tapping her toes into her shoes, "Be sure to bring it when you come, okay?"
"Eh? Mako?" The Mankanshoku patriarch, Barazo, leans back from his meal, glancing door-wards, "Isn't that fight tomorrow? Why're you goin' now?"
"I don't wanna be late!"
RIGHT NOW, DEVIL'S HAND
In the flat, grassy field set aside for the World Martial Arts Tournament stands a girl in a white an blue school uniform, her arms folded and her feet planted, producing a stern and dignified pose. Throwing it completely off, her head hangs to one side, eyes closed, and snoring.
Well, she's not late?
- Fassad (248) has posed:
Fassad rides onto the battlefield, sitting atop his beautiful and noble steed, Excelsior. He is a stunning figure. His white cape flows behind him. His blonde hair sparkles in the sunlight. He opens his mouth, and there is a bright glimmer coming from his teeth. He waves to the audience in the stands, smiling as he looks all around. His sword and shield are out. His blade, a fake version of the Master Sword, is in his right hand. In his left, a mirror with an incredibly reflective surface.
And then he just stares blankly at the sleeping Mako. His jaw hangs slightly open for a second, before he regains himself.
"...Is... is she supposed to be asleep? ...Doesn't she know the match is starting soon?"
Suddenly there is the loud DING of the starting bell, and Fassad has no idea whether he should attack a sleeping opponent or not.
- Mako Mankanshoku (191) has posed:
In the stands, a voice sounds out, "Mako, time to go!" The source, a large, soft-framed man, hauls up from his seat and whirls a briefcase out. Planting his foot on the back of the seat in front of him, he hurls the luggage out in a shallow arc, "Here it is!"
The suitcase sails majestically, aimed perfectly, and strikes Mako square in the side of the head. With a shout, the girl goes down and the case snaps open. There's a crash, a cloud of dust thrown up from the impact.
There's a scuffle within the cloud until the girl hauls herself up with a shout, suddenly and differently equipped, "Hooooh! That's right, I'm here and I'm ready! Today you're facing the Honnouji Academy Fight Club President--" With a sweeping motion, she frames her eyes with the fingers of both hands, "--Mankanshoku Mako!"
From behind her erupt enormous crimson letters--
HONNOUJI ACADEMY FIGHT CLUB PRESIDENT
MANKANSHOKU MAKO
Hands dropping, she closes her eyes with a polite wave and a big smile, "Nice to meet you!" And immediately the red letters crumble into new words.
NICE TO MEET YOU
And then the lettering crumbles away.
- Fassad (248) has posed:
Fassad remains on the horse, his eyes locking forward. The briefcase, the red letters appearing. He is completely baffled. It's not often this self-proclaimed hero finds himself incapable of even formulating a reponse. And yet, today? That is what is happening. His mouth hangs open just slightly still.
He looks around, puzzled, staring at the audience, and at the people organizing the fight.
"...Is... is this a joke?" He knows she is Union, but... Still. He feels like she is pulling a FAST ONE on him.
- Mako Mankanshoku (191) has posed:
"A joke? Nope!" Mako raises both hands and slams them together, the gold-plated knuckleduster smacking into her opposing palm with enough force to scatter dust around her in a fashion so very befitting the heroes of the world that originated the Tournament to begin with. "You can introduce yourself if you want, but these people are expectin' a show! I can't call myself president of the Fight Club if I don't deliver!"
The teeth of her geta dig in and then she kicks off, hurling up a spray of soil and sod behind her from the small crater her kickoff created, "Here I come, hope you and your pretty horse are ready!" The approach is, to put it lightly, like an out of control freight train. Every step she takes rips up the ground, and about two thirds of the way she drops forward and slams her fists down instead. This hurls Mako into a flip, turning herself into a projectile leading with the glowing crimson spikes that line the undersides of her wooden sandals.
"Let's go! Tournaments are s'posed to be fun!"
- Fassad (248) has posed:
Fassad is left completely defenseless as Mako moves in. It doesn't help that Mako is so skilled. Fassad does react at the last second, kicking at his horse, Excelsior. Excelsior moves forward a bit, but Fassad is still struck, some of the spikes stabbing into him. His chainmail stops some of it, but there is still a blunt force against him.
"...Apologies!" Fassad says, as he rides Excelsior forward, trying to circle around Mako constantly. Fassad smiles, looking at her, "I know of you, but allow me to introduce myself! I am Prince Fassad, of the land of Arcadia! The Hero of Light, and a hero who will /shine/ across this entire land!" He smiles again, a blinding flash of light coming off of his overly shiny teeth. Of course, it's really a magical effect.
He runs Excesior forward, towards Mako. He comes at her while trying to get behind her, with her on his right. He lifts his sword, and swings it down. "I apologize! I do not normally attack women unless they are vile villains, but such is the rules of the tournament!"
- Mako Mankanshoku (191) has posed:
"That's 'cuz they're villains!" Mako springs off from her kick, throwing herself into a flip such that she lands a few meters back, on her feet. Hands diving into her coat, she produces a gold-tinged bat with numerous nails sticking out of it, "But this isn't a fight to save the world, it's just for fun, so cut loose!"
When the horseman draws near and brings his blade down, Mako swings her bat to the side. Instead of blocking it with her weapon, Mako's coat sleeves move on their own. The left sleeve produces a large four-fingered white glove and ascends to meet the weapon, tearing and shedding red motes from damaged Life Fibers but keeping the blade from striking her much more vulnerable body.
"So you're like a real knight in shining armor, that's so cool! But isn't it hard to fight me while on a horse?" Her other sleeve winds back, producing its own glove, balled into a huge fist, "Let me help you out!"
Wrenching her damaged glove away, Mako twists her body while her coat's right sleeve swings forward in a right cross the size of a garbage can. Despite being an empty glove, it sure feels solid!
- Fassad (248) has posed:
Fassad lifts his shield to counter. The Mirror Shield is the ultimate defense against magical attacks. Unfortunately, this is not a magical attack. It is a physical blast. His arm strains a bit as he braces to take the impact of the strike. Remaining on horseback, thankfully.
"Ah! Yes, I am much like the knights in stories! But, I am real, and I do not like to brag about how glorious and heroic of a knight I am! But! I shall cut loose... And, a Knight is /always/ stronger on his noble steed!" Which is, of course, somewhat true. It gives him a bit of a height advantage. Perhaps a speed advantage as well, though that is more questionable considering the Goku Uniform.
"BEHOLD! THE LIGHT THAT STOPS EVIL! AND... Wins tournaments and moves into legend!"
He's too used to fighting actual evils and not entering tournaments. He keeps Excelsior running forward, before turning. He points his sword forward, a bright light having gathered in it. The light shoots forward, a solitary beam trying to strike Mako. He keeps his horse running back towards her. He has a plan for a counterattack.
- Mako Mankanshoku (191) has posed:
"Just like the stories!" Mako shouts excitedly. She doesn't even seem to care that her punch glanced off rather than unhorsing her opponent. Rather, she twirls to keep facing him, slamming her uniform's damaged hand into the ground to stabilize herself while she draws her bat up in both regular hands, "'course you're real, I only fight imaginary friends once in a while!"
Wait, what?
Wrenching her glove free, Mako rears back with her bat in preparation for something. The beam from Fassad's sword strikes her in the side, sending out a spray of crimson light from damaged Life Fibers and hitting solidly enough to knock the girl off her precarious one-legged about-to-swing stance. Mako goes for a tumble with a few amusing noises before she comes out in a sitting position, sleeves settling around her, "...Wow!"
Her sleeves rise up, then slam down and lift the girl to her feet without using her actual hands. The impact produces craters around either palm and also hurls her not just to her feet, but several meters straight up. Shifting her bat to one of the sleeve-glove hands, Mako digs into her coat with both regular hands, than hurls them outward, scattering fistfulls of gold-colored projectiles-- A hammer, a crowbar, several screwdrivers, two bricks, and a bent piece of metal pipe!
- Fassad (248) has posed:
Fassad is continually impressed with Mako. She seems brave, if mentally challenged. He keeps his eyes locked on her, and watches the movement of her sleves. Her strange coat is something to watch out for. As it launches Mako into the sky, his plan to counterattack her next move is abandoned rapidly. Instead, he lifts his shield. The projectiles... He'll have to deal with them, first.
His shield lifts to meet all of them, blocking them one by one. His movements are surprisingly quick, and the shield is surprisingly sturdy. They just bounce off in all directions away from him, and Excelsior.
A plan is formed, though. With Mako in the sky, he can get her while her movement is limited. He has to work fast, for she'll land /soon/. He sheathes his sword. There is a flash of a movement. His hand reaches into a leather bag on his belt, and pulls something out. It is tossed into the air, the fuse lit. A blue bomb, that will explode after a few seconds, or upon impact with Mako. The explosion will be quite large.
- Mako Mankanshoku (191) has posed:
Oh, a ball?! Mako twists around in midair and reaches out to catch the round blue sphere thrown up at her, reaching with both her hands as well as the sleeves of her coat. It's her regular hands that make the catch, pushing Mako back a bit as she starts to descend, "Hey, I didn't know you wanted to play like this--" Turning it over, she finds the fuse. Blink. Before Mako can even process it (admittedly that'd take a while anyway), the bomb explodes in her hands, surrounding the girl with smoke and glowing red flakes.
From the bottom of the cloud, a smoldering mass drops, impacting solidly. A few feet away, her bat hits the ground beside her. Reaching for it, Mako collects her weapon and rises to her feet, smoking, "Kind of a dirty trick, but I fell for it, good one!" She bends her knees, then hurls herself forward, "I'm not very tricky, so this'll have to do!"
It's just about the definition of a head-on attack. Sleeves billowing in the wind, Mako draws her nail-laden back back behind one shoulder, than swings it forward as she gets closer to Fassad, shouting the entire time she's airborne.
- Fassad (248) has posed:
Fassad is too slow to react this time. He lifts his shield, but the bat hits him dead on. Finally, he is sent flying off of Excelsior. The horse simply keeps running forward, moving out of the way. It turns around, and just watches. It's a well trained horse. If ordered to get into the battle again? It will.
Fassad rolls along the ground as he falls off, using his cape to shield himself. Luckily, the grass is keeping him from getting dirty, or, gasp, muddy. But, he'd much rather be on Excelsior. That's not an easy task right now, though. Mako is in the way of him and his steed. He stands, frowning slightly.
"...Using a bomb is not a dirty trick! I assumed you would recognize it for what it is! I apologize!"
And so, he goes in for a more straightforward attack, to make up for his last one. He rushes in, pulling his sword back out. As he pulls it out, he makes a wide slash. An attack coming out /right/ from the sheath. AH! A legendary Iai Strike! ...Which really isn't that big of a deal because that's not something Fassad is specifically trained in. It's not like he is one who can cut a man in half more easily by doing it this way.
- Mako Mankanshoku (191) has posed:
After the impact, Mako whips her bat back and throws out her legs, digging her geta into the dirt to stop herself. This leaves her back open to the strike, which slashes across the black material of her uniform and slashes open a tear, revealing the glowing crimson Life Fibers of its inner layer. There's also some crimson in the scattering particles that doesn't glow, but splatters the grass instead.
Mako is a girl who relies on her Goku Uniform to fight, and losing it renders her mostly harmless, but getting actual blood drawn is a sign of the Iai attack's potency in capitalizing on the girl's open position. With a tense noise, she sweeps a leg around in a wide arc to whirl herself back on Fassad. Her bat is swung down, then hurled into the sky. This leaves her hands free.
"It's fine!" Mako shouts cheerfully, kicking off to get close again, "I fell for it, either way, right? Now let's try this!" Leading with her left hand, Mako throws two quick punchs, then follows it up with her right hand-- weilding a golden star-shaped knuckleduster with 'OKAM' standing out on it--in a powerful straight-arm punch, "Eey! Eey! Eeeey!"
Whether she strikes Fassad or not, that last shot scatters dust around the two and, several dozen meters away, a star imprint appears on a hillside, surrounding gigantic letters spelling out 'MAKO'
- Fassad (248) has posed:
There are a number of things confusing Fassad about this fight. The fact that someone is actually out SFX'ing him is amongst the top of that list. He tries to parry with his shield, blocking here and there. He tries to block with the flat of his sword as well, but so many of those hits strike right on. And then the star imprint on the hillside...
This really just isn't fair, for publicity reasons. Fassad is the showboat!
But even as pummeled, he moves in. His shield bashes forward, surrounded by a slight bit of light. He smirks slightly, looking towards Mako, "Ah, truly, you are a powerful opponent! But, I am the HERO OF LIGHT! I shall not fall here, in just the qualification rounds!" The shield bashes in, aiming for Mako's head. It is empowered by Light magic. His hope is to shake the head, and throw off Mako's brain, making it harder for her to think and react for a bit.
...He is uncertain this will work.
- Mako Mankanshoku (191) has posed:
CLONG
The impact is enough to send a fierce vibration through the Mirror Shield and possibly even into Fassad's arm. The sound it makes is not unlike if he had struck a coconut, a hollow sound accompanied by the ringing of metal courtesy of the shield. Mako herself staggers back, as if stunned, her distinctive bancho cap squashed down on her head until it covered her eyes like a blindfold.
Even with the shield still ringing, Mako reaches up and tugs on her hat from either side until it pops up off her head, and she gives it a shake, eyes squeezed shut, "Wooooow! What a noise!" One could almost hear the rattling, like a spraypaint can. But that can't possibly be real. Did the WMAT producers add sound effects to the broadcast?
"You might not lose, but I won't lose either..!" Mako's eyes snap open as she drops her hat back onto her head and dips forward, "I promised Ryuko we'd fight for real, and then I'd get to watch her fight Lady Satsuki! So if I'm gonna lose, you're gonna have to work for it!" She's not angry, there's a certain cheer in her voice that'd be hard for anyone to fake.
Following up on her words, Mako feints back. Her coat's sleeves billow forward, enormous gloves open-handed and closing together on Fassad from either side in an attempt to squash him in a huge clap.
- Fassad (248) has posed:
The loud ringing noise confirms something Fassad had thought. He will not bring this up later, though. It is improper to say anything insulting about a woman. And while he will insult villains, Mako is definitely not such.
Fassad has no way to defend against the following attack, though. He tries to dodge back, but the two gloves strike against him, crushing him between them. Bruises and bleeding occur on both sides of him. But, he starts to skid back, smiling slightly as he tries to breath and regain himself.
He poses. Lifting his sword to the heavens. He stares Mako right in the eye. And, he smirks. "I apologize again. I do not want to hurt a woman as lovely as you. At the same time, I do not want to break your dreams. Stand as tall as you can against me. But... I AM FASSAD! OF ARCADIA! Future weilder of the Master Sword! A hero who will strike /all/ darkness down, and rid the land of evil! I must stand in this tournament, as a light to all who seek to do good!"
He steps forward, making a wreckless attack. Rushing forward, he spins his blade. A wide, circular attack. Best made for groups. But he /has/ to attack in a stunning and dramatic way! For his /fans/.
- Mako Mankanshoku (191) has posed:
"Yeah! Yeah!" Mako snaps her sleeves back, giant gloved hands splaying their fingers out in a posture of readiness, mimicking her actual hands. "The Hero of Light, right? Win or lose, I'm glad we got to fight!" Even if she's dressed like some kind of delinquent bancho from a Japanese high school drama. Or a shounen hero. Depends on the perspective.
With the hero spinning his way towards her, the girl hunches down and braces herself, reaching a hand into her jacket. She turns her shoulder into the spin, taking the sword against her Life Fiber-reinforced uniform with a spray of crimson motes and a few hints of blood, with an impact solid enough to cause her to spin in place. The girl kicks off, throwing herself back a step and wrenching something gold-colored and rather large from inside her coat. Is it a sledgehammer?! A mallet?!
Fassad's sword strikes the metal handle before it can hit Mako again. Held in one hand and braced with one of her uniform sleeve-gloves, Mako holds a long golden rod with a large, equally golden mass on one end. The haft is not straight, but bent curiously in a few places. At this angle, it's hard to tell what it is, until she pushes back against the sword to give herself room and swings the weapon back.
It's a sink, weilded by a length of drain pipe.
"We both have good reasons to fight our hardest, so let's give it our all! This is the true spirit of the Fight Club! Win or lose, it's that you fight your hardest that matters!"
Shifting the pipe to her actual hands, Mako brings it up behind her, and then swings it down in an arc like a golf club, directing the sink itself at the center of Fassad's chest, "Eeeey~!"
- Fassad (248) has posed:
Fassad was prepared for everything but the kitchen sink, it seems. As the hammer-sink swings in, he goes flying across the battlefield, bouncing slightly. He lays flat on his back for just a moment. Finally, he rights himself, standing. Trying to find when he lost control of the situation.
Finally standing, he smiles, "Well! I'm glad either way. Because, no matter who wins? The winner has the HEART OF HERO!"
He starts running forward, leaping into the air. And suddenly, he shouts, "EXCELSIOR!" His white steed runs towards him, and he lands on its back. Then, he leaps off again, his blade coming in a downwards stab straight towards Mako.
This of course will leave him mostly off guard and in the air.
- Mako Mankanshoku (191) has posed:
"The heart of a hero?" Mako straightens her posture, scratching the side of her head, "I like the sound of that!" But there's a fight going on, Mako, pay attention! Snapping back to her opponent, Mako drops the sink to the ground at her feet and raises her hands, mimicked by her uniform's sleeves. The left glove, damaged from before, raises defensively with the fingers spread wide for Fassad to strike against. The impact itself is solid enough that the blade stabs right through the back of the glove and pushes it down enough to bite into the girl's shoulder directly before she can push him back up.
Mako bares her teeth in a smile, the sprig of clover in her teeth jerking upward. Her coat's right sleeve balls its glove up into a fist and swings in an arc, aiming to catch Fassad from the side while his sword is jammed through the left glove. The left glove's fingers try to close around and trap him while the right glove just hammers down again and again, "If a hero loses, he just comes back stronger in the next episode..!"
- Fassad (248) has posed:
Fassad keeps a strong grip on his sword, even as the glove hammers at him and tries to smack him away. He winces, frowning. Finally, he manages to remove the sword, being hit into the air as he does so. He sheathes the sword, and grabs at his bomb bag again.
...And he spills it.
Every single bomb falls out, about 29 of them. And they're lit.
"--Uhhh, that was more than I meant to!"
Still, he is flying back, and lands soon after. He's actually frustrated he just made an accidental attack
KABOOM.
- Mako Mankanshoku (191) has posed:
"Hey!" Mako swings her sleeves back, the gloves disappearing into them while Fassad is airborne. She recognizes the blue spheres dropping down on her, the same bombs he'd used before, "You're doing it again!"
The girl hooks her toe under her discarded sink-and-pipe and yanks it back up into her hands. Throwing the sink out to one side, she doesn't release, and instead puts herself into a rapid spin of swirling sleeves and flashing gold plating. The swarm of bombs falls into this spinning Mako-Top and are summarily scattered in the rough direction of the man who'd dropped them, transforming a cascade of explosives into a shotgun of explosives.
She's not perfect, though. Near the end of the spin and the cascade, several of the bombs are close to the end of their fuse and go off right when her weapon hits them, sending the girl sailing aside, wreathed in smoke. Rather than land in a tumble, though, Mako slams her sink down to stop herself and bring her feet down, than swings the sink up to rest crookedly over her shoulder while she pats flames out on the edge of her skirt with her free hand, "Wow, I'm bad at baseball..!"
- Fassad (248) has posed:
The bombs fly in towards Fassad. As he stares at them, he pauses, just slightly.
"...Oh dear."
The explosions blast at him, and he flies in the air. His body is torn, burnt, bruised, and bleeding. He looks hardly heroic, being right in the sky. Another sigh. This is embarrasing.
Finally he rights himself, holding his sword downards. He can be heard yelling. But, at his distance in the air, it is impossible to be made out. Likely he's ranting something about heroics, battle, and stuff like that. But his body starts glowing with a bright light.
Finally he says something that can be heard. "BARRAGE OF LIGHT!"
The light upon his body starts glowing brighter. It bursts off of him, into countless beams of light. They fly in all directions from him, before they start to arch straight down towards Mako. As the light flies down, it tries to pummel straight into Mako, with an intense light.
And then Fassad starts approaching the ground at an alarmingly fast rate, about right above Mako.
- Mako Mankanshoku (191) has posed:
The bancho President turns her gaze up, shielding her eyes from the sun as the explosions hurl Fassad into the sky. She's a thick sort, but doesn't assume she's won just yet. Those brown eyes narrow, squinting, until a glimmer causes them to widen, "Oooh~!" Immediately Mako snaps out her coat's sleeves and then curls them up over herself, forming a makeshift shield scant moments before bolts of light rain down on top of and around her. This hurls up a great big cloud of dust and soot, which as it fades reveals she hadn't weathered the attack as well as she might have hoped.
The damaged left sleeve is almost completely severed, full of hopes and tears. The right sleeve is only slightly better, still able to move while the left hangs limply now. Bits of fire and embers glow on her coat and the school uniform under it, highlighting the scuffs and burns and cuts.
Evidenced by the sprig of indomitable clover, Mako still wears a smile, "I knew that wouldn't do you in! Let's try this out!"
Casting her sink and pipe into her right sleeve's waiting glove, Mako pulls out her baseball bat once again and swings it up. There's an explosion from inside it, hurling the wooden bat apart in four pieces to reveal something nestled inside it-- A missile. Holding her hat down with one hand, Mako hauls this missile up into the sky and lets it fly, a streak of smoke trailing behind a projectile with a warhead painted to look like an angry version of its owner, "Go get 'em!"
- Fassad (248) has posed:
The missile comes up. Fassad winces. Can he /possibly/ stop it? For a moment, he completely loses hope. But then, he remembers. His dreams. His hopes. He wants to be the Hero of Time. The Hero of Light. He /will/ become that. A hero never loses. He will have to do everything he can to win.
He lifts the shield. The missile impacts. Due to a stroke of luck, the explosion bounces back, off the shield. Fassad flies down, his sword in hand. An eager look on his face. Even if he is going to lose, he /will/ go down with style. He lifts the blade above his head, holds the shield foward.
And like a comet, he comes crashing down, glowing with light. His shield leads the way, impacting /hopefully/ at Mako.
He is praying he doesn't hit the ground. That would be embarrasing.
- Mako Mankanshoku (191) has posed:
Mako sights the catastrophic explosion caused by her missile, sweeping the launcher back and discarding it, smoldering, to one side while shading her eyes with her other hand. "Did I get him..?" There's a brief moment where she squints, only to see the light-wreathed hero emerge from beneath the fireball. Just long enough for her eyes to widen with a little "Hii?!" sound before he impacts, enveloping both fighters in a burst of light.
When it subsides and the dust settles, Mako is still in motion, tumbling away head over heels until she slams into the grandstands and comes to a stop, upside-down. Her uniform cut, torn, and singed, her body battered, Mako doesn't move. Her eyes simply swirl, clearly she's out of the fight! But boy that girl could take a beating.
- Fassad (248) has posed:
As Fassad bashes, he pushes back. He lands, softly on the ground. Stumbling. He has taken quite a beating himself, and his breathing is hard. His entire body looks torn apart, and his clothing is tattered. But, as he stands there, he simply lifts his sword for a moment, posing dramatically.
And then, he sheathes his sword. He walks towards Mako, smiling as he looks down at her. His hand holds out to hers, /trying/ to help her up. He'll lift her out of the arena and take her to medical, if need be. Because that's the kind of guy he is.
- Mako Mankanshoku (191) has posed:
"Back off!"
It's less an angry declaration and more a general warning, as a shadow appears from the stands mere seconds before the bulky shape of Barazo Mankanshoku drops down from the bleachers, landing on his butt with a ground-shaking impact. Bouncing up to his feet, he stoops down immediately to tend to Mako. Opposite him, a slinky woman in a pink nurse's costume drops down as well, toting a black handbag with a red cross on it.
"Don't mind us~," the woman states, "Her father is a doctor and I often assist, so we'll take care of Mako from here~."
- Fassad (248) has posed:
Fassad stops in his tracks, staring at the doctor, and the woman. Fassad just blankly stares, surprised at this. But, he just shrugs, looking at the father, and the... slinky woman who he thinks might be a harlot.
"...Well. I shall leave her in your hands, good sir! You should be proud of your daughter, she fights well! Both of you, take good care of her!"
- Mako Mankanshoku (191) has posed:
"Sure thing!" Barazo turns just enough to flash Fassad a thumbs-up and a wink, "Mankanshoku Barazo, at your service! You sure did a number on her, my boy!"
"Mm~hmm~," the woman opens up the medical bag, "Mankanshoku Sukuyo~. If beating up my daughter helped you advance a level, please feel free to do it again some time~!"
Up in the stands, a kid's voice shouts down. The source is a brown-haired boy waving a camera, "Mom! Dad! I got great footage! Gonna put it up on Youtube an' make tons of advertising dough!"
- Fassad (248) has posed:
And Fassad is instantly embarrased that he called Mako's mother a harlot within his own head. He tries to keep his calm, looking at them both. The thumbs up is a strange gesture to him still. The youtube footage, the offer to beat up the daughter more, the contragulations...
He just stands there, staring blankly, his mouth hanging wordlessly open.
He may have won the battle, but in so many ways he has failed. Specifically at comprehending.
