Genghis Rex (114) has posed:
Genghis Rex appears in public for the first time since the final climactic battle for his home planet of Reptilon. While his Tyranno brethren sit in the stands to cheer him on, the Tyranno 'King' is not accompanied by his usual over the top entrance complete with metal music fanfare.

For a 12 foot anthro T-rex whose temper is known throughout the multiverse, his demeanor seems reserved and contemplative. While usually seen in ornate power armor, he wears a simple black cloth Gi, with a red Tyranno sigil stitched into the back, a smaller version of the sigil is pinned to the left breast of his GI - the everpresent Dinovolver.

For those familiar with his appearance, Rex is far leaner, almost streamlined, in appearance - he's still a mass of muscle and teeth, but not quite as ponderous as he's appeared in the past.

Xiao Li Yu (823) has posed:
     Ah, the World Martial Arts Tournament.

     Usually not one to be proactively engaging in combat, Xiao would have left this sort of event to her colleagues. But....she was curious. Curious about the various powers and abilities that existed throughout the multiverse.

     What better way to see them up close than participating?

     And so, with little fanfare from the crowd, the scientist walked out of the waiting area and into the ring. She wore nothing special. Just her usual ornate green blouse with white dress underneath. She hardly looked like a combatant. Was she taking this seriously?

     Upon spying her opponent waiting in the ring, she smiled. "My, my. You're even bigger up close." Xiao commented casually, coming to a stop a safe distance away. As the announcer made the usual calls from the sidelines, the girl reached into her sleeves, producing a pair og black metal gauntlets. So that's what she fought with.

     Taking a ready stance, she waited. And then it came.

     'Ready? FIGHT!'

     Upon hearing those words, Xiao dashed straight forward, a fist reared back. Ah, how to approach this big guy? Hm, hmmm....

     Well, don't throw out anything too fancy yet. Test his defenses.

     That thought in mind, the scientist clenched a fist and lashed out with a quick punch aimed at Rex's midsection once she got in range. "Hah!"

Genghis Rex (114) has posed:
Rex's jade eyes follow Xiao's movements as she moves towards him. His stance is relaxed and slack, his tail swinging behind him betraying a bit of amusement from the Tyranno. "Ally or no ... I'll not go easy on the likes of you ..."

As Xiao strikes for his midsection, she finds her target shrink as he turns to the side, her metal gauntlet glancing off his rocky abs with a clank.

Rex, however, does not stop in his defensive turn, and Xiao suddenly finds herself with a facefull of his tail, as it whips around like a thick muscled tree truck.

Xiao Li Yu (823) has posed:
     Surprisingly nimble for such a big guy. Xiao was quite surprised to find her strike just off the mark. And in retaliation, a tail slammed into her side, sending her skidding some distance aside. "Ow...ow." The girl muttered, rubbing her side. "Well, you certainly aren't well known for nothing." She said after, rolling her neck and limbering up for the moment.

     Once she was done, she smiled. "Let me try that again."

     And then she took off once more. The distance was closed in mere moments and once she was upon Rex, she leapt into the air, pivoting her body and aiming to slam her heel into the side of his head with an aerial roundhouse.

Genghis Rex (114) has posed:
Rex, perhaps, lingers too long on his fallen opponent, or perhaps her words stroke his all to massive ego a bit.

"Oh, so you HAVE heard of me? Good for you, it'd be a shame if ... owch!" Rex starts boasting before a heel cracks him in the right temple, staggering him backwards a half a dozen steps.

He rubs at the spot, squinting his right eye and glaring with his left. "If you'd like to break you foot, by all means, continue kicking me in the head!"He suddenly lunges forward, left arm extended, putting all of his barrelling weight behind a particularly brutal lariat/closeline.

Xiao Li Yu (823) has posed:
     "Eesh! Is your head made of steel of something?" Xiao asked as she landed, wincing as the attacking foot contacted the ring. She could almost still feel the bone quivering. "Note to self; add greaves to the to-do list-Whoops!"

     Here he came again! A little too late, Xiao raised her arms to block, right about the moment that Rex's clothesline made impact. The blow, while not as bad as it could have been, still sent her flying some ways back. Her back impacted with the ground beneath before she skid to a stop.

     "Second note to self; Pay attention!" With that, the scientist flipped back onto her feet into a crouch, observing her opponent for second. Then she stood, and broke off into a run. As she ran, her body began to crackle with building electricity. That electricity traveled along her before finally channeling into her gauntlets.

     Immediately, she lashed out with a combo of attacks. A straight punch to the midsection, a spinning back fist to the side, and an elbow strike to the midsection again. Each blow was amplified with surges of lightning, and the final attempted blow would have caused a stronger surge of electricity to arc through through Rex, not actually physically puncturing, but passing through entirely.

Genghis Rex (114) has posed:
Rex reels from the electrified strikes. He actually covers up and crouches down as the surges arc through him, letting out guttural growls and howls as the blue electricity dances along his scaled hide.

Eventually, Xiao finds him kneeling before her, curled into a smoldering ball, shivering and breathing heavily from the assault.

"Fancy. You have me on my heels ... but I am far from defeated!"

ex lets out a furious ear shattering roar and snatches for Xiao's ankle, intent on yanking her up over his head and slamming her back-first down across his scaly knee!

Xiao Li Yu (823) has posed:
     Once her assault was completed. Xiao let out a breath and stepped back a tad, waiting to see what the result was. Once the smoke cleared, she saw that Rex was on his knees. A good result, if she could keep this up then maybe this wouldn't be such a-

     "Eh-?"

     Except she wasn't quite expecting to be grabbed by the ankle. "H-Hey! Wait a second! Wait!" She cried rather comically, attempting to flail and wiggle out of Rex's steel grip. "Wait wait wait ahhhhh!" CRACK "OW! OW OW OW! jhdbhjsdOW!" Annnnnd there it went. The girl rolled aside and then scuttled back a fair distance, one hand at her horribly aching back.

     It was a good thing she kept up her workout routine, else that might have been broken instead of just terribly bruised! But it still hurt like hell! Well, no time to grumble about the pain, she was in the middle of a match. "Ridiculous! So much strength!" And creepily enough, she smiled. "Perhaps once this is all done, I could get a blood sample from you. Your genetic pattern must be quite a interesting sight."

     Time and place, Xiao, time and place.

     The scientist snapped back to reality soon enough, evidenced by the electricity leaving her body and gauntlets. What followed instead was a freezing air current. Slowly at first, but quickly gaining speed, it began to billow around her form. "Blizzaga." She muttered quietly. Her gauntlets began to freeze over and suddenly, Xiao lurched to the ground, one fist clenched and reared back.

     "Hah!"

     And with that, she punched the ground. Immediately, pillars of ice began to jut up ahead of her. They continued to burst upwards, traveling forward rapidly and aiming to catch Rex underfoot in it's freezing grasp.

Genghis Rex (114) has posed:
"Blood sample!?! Hah. Talk to Styraco or Tesla about that! I am genetic PERFECTION! The results of MILLIONS of years of careful breeding and culling the weak! I am the end product! The PEAK! You would find no other Tyrannosaur beyond me in strength, speed or intellect! This is WHY I lead! This is WHY I am REX!"

"Guh?"

Pillars of ice begin rising up out of the ground, their jagged edges intent on impaling the boisterous Dinosaur. He dodges backwards, then waits for an ice pillar to rise up past him, then, in one fell swoop, slashes it's foundation out from under it with his tail, then kicks it, so it topples towards Xiao!

Xiao Li Yu (823) has posed:
     "Wow. If you're /that/ great, then surely-Eh?"

     Oh. She missed. And on top of that, one of her own pillars was falling down on top of her right about now. "Aiyaaa...." She muttered, watching it fall as if almost resigning herself to such ridiculousness. But at the last moment, Xiao raised both of her arms, bloccking as the pillar crashed down upon her.

     "Agh!"

     With her tiny frame, it was inevitable that her knees buckled. She'd be crushed if she didn't do something about this right now! That in mind, the temperature around the girl began to rise rapidly. "Firaga." She quickly chanted. Immediately following that, her gauntlets started to build up visible flames. The pillar she was holding back rapidly began to melt and ease up.

     "Haaaah!" Not stopping there however, Xiao forced her way through the weakened pillar, chopping through it with flame reinforced gauntlets. Once she was through, she leapt straight into the air. "Let's see you throw this back at me! Oh great majesty!"

     A huge fireball formed in her raised hand, growing bigger and bigger till it was about ten feet in diameter. And then it was thrown straight down towards Rex as she descended.

As Xiao blasts her way through the ice, Rex kneels and waits, anticipating her next move. As she breaks through the ice pillar, he leaps into the air, intending to catch her as she bursts through, but his judgement is off and he is too slow.

As he leaps into the air, the Tyranno warlord finds himself with a facefull of fire nearly as big as he is!

"DAH!" is all he gets out before Xiao blasts him back into the ground, scorching the stadium floor and singing both Rex's scales and clothes. He slowly stands, then realizes his Gi is very much on fire and begins patting it out.

When he is done, most of his red scales are black with soot and his Gi is full of holes and charred, smoke wafting off of him "It's true, I AM related to birds, but I will not be deep fried like a chicken wing!"

Rex heaves forward and begins a series of attacks that are VERY familiar to anyone who's witnessed a Saiyan in battle. Left jab, right jab, kick to the midsection, tail swipe to the legs - it's lightning quick and might explain why he's recovered so well from his fiery battle on Reptilon.

Xiao Li Yu (823) has posed:
     "Hehe~ chicken wings sound good right about now." Xiao replied as she landed onto the ground a short distance away. The force of her previous fire attack caused the ice that remained around them to melt and evaporate, clearing away the obstacles. This time, she stood ready and waiting for Rex's counter attack.

     Once he came upon her, she responded. And in a very saiyan-like manner, she met each of his blows with one of her own. Punch for punch, kick for kick, they both became a collective blur as their attacks connected against one another. "You're quite resiliant!" Xiao noted aloud, leaning her head aside as Rex's fist grazed past it. And then wincing from a body blow made worse from the pain in her back. But she didn't slow down.

     This blur of exchanged blows went on for a few seconds, the girl's eyes watching critically, waiting for an opening.

     No...no...no....not yet....not there....no....THERE!

     The next fist that came barreling for her face, she heaved her entire body aside slightly. Moving past the Tyranno's fist as it barely grazed the side of her head, Xiao reared back with a clenched fist cloaked in fire and leapt up to his height. "Now!" And then it flew, an uppercut aimed for his chin while traveling upwards.

Genghis Rex (114) has posed:
Rex's head snaps upwards from the force of Xiao's uppercut, his legs go wobbly and he falls backwards, slamming to the ground with a thud, kicking up a wave of dust in his wake. He opens watery eyes and shakes his head as he lies there. A trickle of blood runs down his jaw from the force of the impact slamming his razor sharp maw shut and catching the side of his tongue.

Rex struggles to his feet, groggily, then spits a large red splotch at Xiao's feet, "You wanted my blood, there you go ..."

"Now it's my turn!" the Tyranno snarls, then swings at Xiao with his claws open and fully extended, the black talons slicing through the air with a single hateful slash!

Xiao Li Yu (823) has posed:
     After landing, Xiao watched as Rex recovered, spitting a large glob of blood at her feet. "...Oh." Well, that was one way to do it.

     But now was certainly not the time. She turned her attention back upwards and quickly raised the forearms of her gauntlets to try and defend against that overhead claw. Contact was made, and she found herself buckling again as the force of the attack pushed against her defenses.

     Little by little, her arms were being forced lower and lower, until Rex's attack won out. Xiao's arms were forced down and his claw raked against her torso, from the collarbone downwards. "Argh!" She cried out in pain, immediately sinking to her knees and scuttling back a ways as blood began to leak out through her torn clothes.

     It would have been much, much worse if she didn't curtail some of the force by defending first. Thankfully she had. "....Wow...the multiverse is truly a diverse place...hehehe-" And she laughed through the pain, a smile forming on her lips after. Silence followed for a few seconds before she shakily rose back to her feet proper.

     "Okay! I think I've seen enough!" And cheerfully, she raised a hand upwards to Rex. He'd notice that the claw wound was ever so slowly beginning to close. The bleeding was slowing down as well. "I forfeit! I'm not entirely interested in losing consciousness. Is that acceptable, oh great ruler?"

     Well, that was a thing.

Genghis Rex (114) has posed:
Genghis Rex blinks and lowers his guard, stepping over to Xiao and kneeling down to meet her at eye level, "You are certain? If so, I accept, as I have no desire to injure a fellow confederate, but you pushed me hard. You might still win ..."

Xiao Li Yu (823) has posed:
     "Oh no, not at all." She chuckled and shook her head. "I may not be the greatest combantant. But I can tell when a battle is lost." She gestured to herself. "My constitution isn't nearly as great as yours. So I'll be satisfied with this." And then she knelt down, producing a sample kit from her still intact sleeves somehow.

     Oh. She was collecting the blood that Rex had spat out earlier. Scraping it into a tray. "Besides. I already got a prize." Once done, she stood annd tucked the kit away. "So! That said, I'll leave the blood boiling, teeth clenching, bone breaking combat that awaits in the rounds ahead...up to you. Have fun!"

     She had zero fighting spirit. She was just here on a scientific whim. That much was clear.

Genghis Rex nods to Xiao looking a bit confused, "So be it ... should that sample of my blood not be acceptable, you may request a more standard one in the future. Just no cloning ... I have enough trouble with my genetics officer cloning evrything as it is."
