Terry and Pacifica Sparring

Synopsis:	Terry meets up with Pacifica, who is in the holodeck practicing, venting some emotions. Terry begins to spar with her and they talk about what is bothering here. Terry also offers to take her out on a date.

Pacifica has posed:
Training is a good way of getting your mind off of things you don't want to think about. So Pacifica's trying her hardest to get her mind off of things she doesn't want to think about… which happen to mainly be "being normal".

Currently, the blonde isn't doing anything major but toying with a punching bag. Occasionally she throws a punch or a kick at it, but she's not trying very hard and it's obvious the thoughts are getting to her more than the training itself is.

Pacifica
     Standing at about 5'2", Pacifica Casull looks to be no older than sixteen. Her frame is fairly small with an average build, her skin seeming to be on the pale side. Her face is set with noble features and large, expressive blue eyes. Her crowning feature, however, is her hair. A golden blonde, when let down to its full length, it reaches to her waist. Her bangs are cut so as to keep out of her eyes, and on each side of her head, right before her ear, is a large curl. One jeweled earring hangs from one of her ears behind the curl, the other earring strangely missing. Currently, her hair is worn up loose, reaching all the way to her waist, the sides tapering to a point. The curls remain, right in front of her ears, but the rest of her hair remains straight. The hair is secured delicately in a ponytail at the nape of her neck, leaving the hair out of the way, but still reaching down as far as her waist.
     Pacifica's current outfit seems to be a little more aimed to blend in with the modern worlds of the Multiverse. Snug-fitting jeans hug her hips and legs, flaring out in a boot-cut, while the shirt she wears is a dark green camisole that also fits snugly except for the bottom, where it's a little longer and looser to settle over the top of her jeans. Black, fingerless gloves cover her hands, reaching only to her wrists. Over the whole outfit, she wears a knit trenchcoat of a grey color, the hood pulled up over her head and the ponytail pulled to the front. Her shoes are simple boots, hence the boot-cut jeans, and are black.

Terry McGinnis walks into the room and blinks as he sees Pacifica at work and watches her. He stands there for a moment as he walks over, "You know," he starts in his normal voice. "That it is better to try to calm down," and his voice changes to a much deeper tone, one that Pacifica would probably recognize if she was on radio when he was talking as batman. "That way you do not hurt yourself."

Pacifica has posed:
Pacifica stops with the bag, blinking for a moment as Terry walks in. She looks quickly back at the punching bag. "That would assume that I am upset and need to calm down from something. Which I'm not." She quickly punches at the bag again.

Terry McGinnis has posed:
Terry McGinnis looks and nods, "Point," he says to her. "But there is something bothering you," he says as he walks over to her. "Trust me, I am good at noticing things. Very good at noticing things." he says to her. "You wanna talk about it, or perhaps spar??

Pacifica has posed:
"There's nothing to talk about." Pacifica replies, rubbing her hands a little bit. "But if you'd like to spar I'll take you on." Maybe she's not the best at fighting, but it should take her mind off of things.

Terry McGinnis has posed:
Terry McGinnis nods, "Alright," he says to her as he moves over to the ring, "I have normally sparred with combat drones that the Old man had built. And I have fought a few people in hand to hand. So when you are ready," he says to her as he waits.

Pacifica has posed:
"It's okay. I've fought few people at all." Pacifica murmurs, standing ready before she moves forward, aiming for a punch right for Terry's gut. It's an amateur move, something he should easily be able to dodge. She's definitely distracted.

Terry McGinnis has posed:
Terry McGinnis sees the punch and deflects it as he looks at her, "You can do better than that," he says. "Anyone could have seen that move coming," he states as he pivots and does a foot sweep to take her feet from under her.

Pacifica has posed:
Pacifica's quick enough to back away from the sweep, but she focuses back on the combat. "Well, maybe I /wanted/ you to see it coming." Pacifica retorts. "So that I could do… this!" She quickly aims a kick for his leg, trying to make him lose his footing.

Terry McGinnis sees this and looks at the kick, which he moves his leg out of the way, but his foot is still hit and he steps back. "Really," he says as he steps forward and sends a punch to Pacifica's body, mainly gut.

Pacifica has posed:
While Pacifica's not really the best built for fighting, she is at least quick. She moves back at the last second, trying to grab for his arm and twist it while it's still out for the punch.

Terry McGinnis arm is grabbed and twisted and he rolls with it as attempts to pull her as he is twisted, sort of a reverse twist so to speak.

As soon as she sees Terry trying that, Pacifica releases his arm, moving instead to try and punch him right in the gut. She however, does seem a little surprised that she's been doing so well. "You don't have to hold back.."

Terry McGinnis looks and nods, "Habit," he states to her as he is punched in the gut. "I do not like hitting ladies," he says to her. "That's what puts me above those I do deal with on a nightly bases," he says as he rolls up and rushes forward, with a punch towards Pacifica's face that is cut short and a foot sweep is the next thing that comes in, seems the punch was a diversion.

"Wish everyone had your sense of chivalry." Pacifica murmurs, pulling back from the punch, having expected it to be his real attack. "My entire life, no one's had any qualms about trying to kill me." She's hit by the sweep, going down, but in the process she tries to kick at his own legs to bring him down with her.

Terry McGinnis is brought down again as his own feet are taken out from under him. He looks at her, "Where I am from, things like that are long gone," he says to her. Looking, "Where I am from, those who have money and/or power tend to be the ones to set the rules, why I fight to change that," he says and you can see some of Bruce Wayne's teachings showing through. He looks for a moment as he thinks, "So, what is it like form where you are from? Since I am guessing it is not like mine?"

Pacifica has posed:
"You'd be surprised," Pacifica comments, not quite getting up yet nor making another attack as she looks back over at Terry. "Those who have money and power step on those who have not. People are superstitious.. afraid of what someone powerful tells them will happen and instead treating that as if it were the truth. It's why I never really got to go to school. Why I always had to run. They were afraid of me, so they tried to have me killed. I.. I just wanted to be normal and have a life."

Terry McGinnis has posed:
Terry McGinnis looks and nods, "For me," he says to her. "I was a bad kid for a while. Got into trouble, spent time in Juvvy and was a general terror. Ran with the wrong crowd for a long time. After getting in trouble with the law, turned around and worked on trying to correct my past mistakes," he says. "On the streets, at least where I live, all of the gangs are out for power and controlling the streets. You either have to fight to survive, or end up being hurt or worst," he says and he does have experience.

"I ran into a man that help me against a group of Jokerz, one of the street gangs I know of. He was not in the best of conditions, having some health issues. So I helped him into his house and I stumbled upon something that was gone for a good number of years, about 30. After my father was killed, I went and got what I found, and after talking to him, while getting beaten up, he decided to help and let me take over what he was." he states. "Since then, I have been making up for all the mistake sI have made."

Pacifica has posed:
Pacifica looks back over at him. "Lost my father too. My father and mother both. They kept looking for me.. the ones that were after me.. and they almost found me. Parents died trying to save me. They didn't have to.. I wasn't even their real daughter. My real parents were too afraid of the prophecy.. at least, my real father was. He had me thrown off a cliff." She nods a little. "It's.. good that you're making up for the mistakes you made. It's kind of honorable. I.. wish I could just make up for all this time I lost. I wanted to go to school, have a life, a boyfriend, get married someday.. just live a normal life. And none of that was possible.. and out here? It doesn't even seem remotely possible."

Terry McGinnis has posed:
Terry McGinnis looks and thinks, "Anything is possible," he says to her. "I have learned that much first hand," he states as he looks. "You could always register at a school in New Washington, as I am sure that any school would accept ya, since you are form a different place that has not arrived yet. Find a boyfriend and/or a relationship and go form there. Thinking that it is too late is already admitting defeat. The moment you give up, is the moment that defeat will occur. I have help turned a number of people from the wrong path, and not as Terry McGinnis," he says as he stands up, and offers a hand to Pacifica to help her up.

Pacifica has posed:
Pacifica accepts the hand up, rubbing the back of her neck. "Yeah. You're right. I just.. seem to forget that a lot." She murmurs once she's on her feet. "Anyways.. thanks for the spar."

Terry McGinnis has posed:
Terry McGinnis nods, "Anytime," he says to her as he looks. "If you want," he says to her, and he ponders. "I could take you out on a date," he says. "Since there are a lot of things to do, such as a movie, dancing, walking, eating to name a few. Plus, it never hurts to forget about others and just worry about yourself. There are plenty of people in the Union, who can step up and fill in. Some work harder than others and others are more there to provide support. The moment you stop enjoying life, rather it is swimming, walking, camping, hiking or whatever, is when you have let work take over your life."

Pacifica nods. "It'd be nice.. thank you. I might take you up on that sometime." She nods a little. "I just.. it's been hard to let go of things and just fit in."

Terry McGinnis nods, "Things can only get worst before they get better," he states. "Would you be free say on <insert the next time we are both on?>"

Pacifica has posed:
Pacifica smiles a little bit, then nods. "Sure. That sounds like it'd be good. I'll.. see you then, okay?"

Terry McGinnis nods and looks as he picks up his bag, "Besides, I need to go out on patrol," and he pulls out part of his suit.
