All The Sugar Ever

Synopsis:	A familiar face shows up at Sugarcube Corner for some sweets!

Pinkie (470) has posed:
    An unfamiliar face is in Ponyville... Or is it...? A pony shrouded in a heavy travelling cloak and hood has been spotted several times around the town, nosing about with no real destination nor apparent reason. A foreigner perhaps, or someone just lost maybe? Or not, as after a while the mysterious visitor can be seen pacing in front of Sugarcube Corner thoughtfully.
    How mysterious!

Staren has posed:
    Staren is walking through Ponyville. He was going to visit Twilight, but he didn't realize how late it was, so maybe he'll just enjoy the night air and sky for a bit before coming home. Or maybe he'll run into Night Bright again? It does seem like that kind of night. But when he passes through the square, he doesn't see her. He does, however, catch sight of... a pony in a hooded cloak? While clothing certainly isn't unheard of among ponies, he can't recall ever seeing one wearing an identity-concealing cloak.

    Curiousity piqued, he shifts to cat form and stalks after her. Waiting outside Sugarcube Corner, huh? He wonders what that's about...

Twilight Sparkle (411) has posed:
     Twilight Sparkle, after putting Spike to bed, went out for a late night study session. She has her jeweled saddlebags full of books and a few snacks, and is happily trotting toward the park. Until she spots that pony at Sugarcube corner. Twilight headtilts, then heads that way. It could be someone in need, or one of Nightmare Moon's henchponies.

     "Hello." Twilight calls out as she approaches. "Are you alright?"

Pinkie (470) has posed:
    Such a travesty it would be if one of Nightmare Moon's henchponies were to sneak into Ponyville. But that doesn't seem to be the case this evening. For a moment the pacing continues, as if the foreign pony were still considering entering or not before Twilight's approach and voice get a jump out of her.
    No really, there's a squawked bleat of surprise, and in an instant she's clinging up the nearest lamp post with a squeak.
    The SUDDEN SURPRISE lasts for just a few seconds before she lets herself down with a 'phew' and a scuff of one cloven hoof. "Aheh heh... Heheheheehee whoops!" It's a familiar voice for sure, as she sheepishly ruffles the back of her own hood. "OOPS. I just thought I'd quietly poke around and visit but I guess you found meeeeee."
    A yank back on the hood reveals pink mane and white porcelain mask of the OTHER Pinkie.
    "SURPRISE!"

Staren has posed:
    Staren jumps at Pinkie's sudden movement. It's...! Other Pinkie! "Oh... hello, Pinkie." He's still a cat. "...Good to see you in such high spirits."

Twilight Sparkle (411) has posed:
     Twilight is a bit surprised herself when the hooded figure suddenly hops up a lamp post. She giggles a bit when Pinkie starts laughing. "Pinkie what are yo-.." When the hood is pulled down, Twilight looks surprised again. "Pinkie...wait...you aren't our Pinkie." She looks a bit unnerved by that mask. "Um...is everything alright? I don't recall you visiting our world before."

Pinkie (470) has posed:
    When is Pinkie Pie not in high spirits? "When am I NOT in high spirits?!" See? See? Just like that.
    But already she's trotting circles around the two- though she seems to give Twilight a little bit more of a berth than Staren out of reflex, as she llllleeeeaaaaaans in close to peer down at the cat. "Huh! You're a cat now. I mean last time I saw you you were all cat-boy and stuff!" Chirruped before pausing.
    "Wwwwwwweeeeeeell. Everything's pretty fine I gueeeeess~." She muses, prancing in place for a beat. "I thought I'd see how things were here. But it would probably be confusing if I was me and ran into me, or otherponies saw me and thought I was otherme, when me, and then then I'd have to be all 'I AM ME FROM THE FUTURE! THERE'S NO TIME TO EXPLAIN!'"
    Well that explains the hood.

Staren has posed:
    Staren blinks. and nods. And then suddenly he's a white unicorn. "I guess I can understand that. So, what do you think? Of this Equestria."

Twilight Sparkle (411) has posed:
     Twilight watches Pinkie prance around them. Even if she is from a grim future, their Pinkie apparently never changes. Which makes Twilight smile. "I see. That makes sense." she says to Pinkie, then headtilts. "But...why were you pacing in front of Sugarcube Corner? Were you hungry for some sweets?" she asks before smiling to Staren as he becomes a unicorn. She clops over to give him a big hug and a nuzzle against his cheek.

Pinkie (470) has posed:
    It's a pretty lousy future, but apparently Pinkie at least manages to keep up the cheer wherever she goes. Staren suddenly turning into a unicorn earns a pretty big 'Ooooooh!' "Hey, I can change too! Watch!" She exclaims before bringing her hoof up to that smiling mask and starts blowing on it SUPER HARD.
    There's a brief pause before her MASK turns a little red in the cheeks. ... And then blue until she stops to breathe, with a little wobble.
    But then Twilight's hugging him and she resumes trotting circles around the two. "AWWWWWWWWW YOU REALLY DID MEAN IT WHEN YOU SAID SHE WAS YOUR VERY SPECIAL SOMEPONY~~~."
    Well it's a cute thing to see, but then she comes to a grinding halt. "Well. It brings back a lot of memories." But why the Sugarcube Corner?
    "Oh huh, I was kinda hungry actually. You two wanna grab something to snack on? It'll be on my bits~." She offers.

Staren has posed:
    Staren holds her close and nuzzles her back. "Of course I did..." He tilts his head at Pinkie. "Uh... if you go into sugarcube corner, don't you think the Cakes or the other Pinkie might notice you?"

    Staren freezes. Two Pinkies in the same room together? He's not sure if he wants to find out what happens then!

Twilight Sparkle (411) has posed:
     Twilight blushes a bit when Pinkie trots around them and does a bit of gushing. "Certainly." she says to Pinkie, smiling. "But, you might not want to wear that mask. It could disturb the residents if they see it. It is a bit unusual."

Pinkie (470) has posed:
    There will be gushing. Gushing will flow. But for a moment the pink pony comes to a screeching halt. It WOULD be awkward to run into the Cakes like this or even the other Pinkie if she IS around. "Huuuuuhhhhh... Well that's kiiiiind of what the hood was for!" She admits. But then Twilight suggests the mask come off. Pausing to tilt her head at Twilight, peering through the eye-slits with those piercing green eyes.
    "Weeeeeell... Okay." She relents, tugging her hood up, shadow shrouding over her snout, before tugging the porcelain mask off to reveal... Lots more shadow. Except with bright green eyes and a big smile. "How's this?!"

Staren has posed:
    Staren keeps a forehoof around Twilight as he watches Pinkie. "Uhhhh... well, it certainly hides your identity, but it's still kinda creepy. Uhhh..." He looks to Twilight. "Know any disguise spells?"

Twilight Sparkle (411) has posed:
     Twilight blinks at Pinkie's solution. "I...suppose that will work. Zecora often wears her cloak in such a fashion." Twilight says, then looks at Staren before back at Pinkie. "I don't think a disguise spell will be necessary. This is not as bad as a mask." she says, then smiles. "So, should we head to the fast food restaurant? They are probably still open this late." she says.

Pinkie (470) has posed:
    "But I like my mask! And I like my hood..." Pinkie laments with a pout when Staren deems the Black Mage look to still be creepy. Her tongue sticks RIGHT out when Twilight defends her with Zecora's usual choice of fashion around Ponyville, but the Jester pony relents with a sigh. "Fuuuu-hiiiiiiiiiine!" Huffed mock huffishly as one hoof tugs her hood back.
    For blonde curls to spill free, revealing a dark tan snout that just might be familiar.
    Considering Sunny Smiles is a resident of Ponyville.
    "How's this? And fast food's fine!"

Staren has posed:
    Staren blinks. "Nice trick! So, Sugarcube corner, or somewhere else?"

Twilight Sparkle (411) has posed:
     Twilight blinks as well, then looks a bit confused and slightly intrigued. "You...are a shapeshifter?" she asks, as much curious as anything. It doesn't seem to deter her from their goal of snacks, though. She makes her way toward the restaurant with her special somepony and their curious companion in tow.

     Once inside, Twilight goes to order, then heads toward her favorite table. You know, the one she will use in the future after she has wings. Pinkie is probably familiar with it. She believes the others capable of ordering for themselves, so just awaits them at the table.

Staren has posed:
    Staren repeats Twilight's order. He doesn't eat pony food much so it's still kind of novel!

Pinkie (470) has posed:
    Just as SUNNY SMILES promised, the meal is on her bi-- her coin. So once Staren and Twilight make their orders, she gets a daffodil sandwich and plops on down. "Nuh uh! I'm not a shapeshifter, I'm a clown, silly! Though huh... You make the same surprised blinkey face Twilight does!"
    She pauses at the blatant obviousness of this statement.
    "Well you know what I mean."
    Chuff.
    "It's kind of been a while since I've seen Ponyville. But everything is just like how I remember it."

Staren has posed:
    Staren blinks. "So this is... illusion? Makeup? ...Anyway, I hope this is a pleasant visit. But then, you seem to be a pleasant pony. Even when terrible stuff has happened to you."

Twilight Sparkle (411) has posed:
     Twilight makes that blinky face again as Pinkie says that, then giggles. "Yes." she says before smiling. "It is good to know that even in what seems like a rather bleak future, some of the light we enjoy today remains." Twilight says before curiousity hits her again. "I have been wondering...were you ponies always able to change back and forth, or was it a talent developed over time? And either way, what was the reason behind having such powers?" she asks Pinkie.

Pinkie (470) has posed:
    Sunny Smiles places her hooves together. Then spreads them apart in an arch. No rainbow forms between them, but she can pretend. "A magician never reveals her secrets!" She chirrups to Staren's question before giving jazz-hooves.
    Tadaaa.
    She seems keen on avoiding the topic of how much of terrible place her world is, right now. "It's. Nostalgic. I kind of always wished things could have just stayed like this back home but." She lets that hang. Twilight has a more lighthearted curiosity.
    "Oh! Yeah that's always been a Thing. Since even before I was born. Someponies think it's that evolution thing, others think it's just magic, I think it's just fun being all handsy-hoovsey whenever I feel like it. But hands make practical jokes and magic tricks a lot easier in my opinion."
    Which probably explains why this is probably the first time anyone outside her own Equestria has ever seen her in pony form. "Reason? For what, handsy-hoovsey or the fact that I'm a clown."

Staren has posed:
    Staren tilts his head. "I think she means for handsy-hoovesy. If ponies always had it, though..." he raises his forehooves in a sort of 'I dunno' shrugging motion. Then he looks to Twilight. "If you mean evolutionarily speaking, the other you is probably the one to ask."

Twilight Sparkle (411) has posed:
     Twilight eyerolls with that smile on her face at the choices for what needed a reason. "The handsy-hoovsey thing." she says. When Staren speaks up, Twilight shakes her head. "I was more asking because it is an aspect that we do not have on this Equestria. And, if it was not new, then that precludes us from being the same Equestria as Pinkie's, whether past or future. That does not mean that our worlds will not follow similar paths in time, but...it does seem to make it less likely." she says just as their veggie burgers arrive, along with hay fries and apple cider drinks.

     Twilight thanks the server, then happily chomps into her burger, already getting a bit of ketchup on her cheeks. "But, also, I was curious as to why your world would evolve such an unusual trait. Most worlds evolve one or the other. To use both seems...evolutionarily unsound. Which makes me think it is due to some magical quality of your world that ours lacks."

Staren has posed:
    Staren sips his cider. "I never liked apple /juice/, but I like apples and apple /cider/..." He looks between them. "Remember the other Equestria, where all the ponies were anthropomorphic, but the element bearers could take pony form? I wonder if the mechanism is at all related... It is kind of curious though, now that you mention it... Definately something to ask the other Twilight next time we hear her on the radio."

Pinkie (470) has posed:
    Sunny Smiles flashes a grin. When she does, something, somewhere goes ~squee~.
    "Well. I don't know! I never paid attention to that kind of stuff so I wouldn't know why we do it and others don't. Buuut... Things went bad in my Equestria because of one event happening. I really really really really really really really reallyreallyreallyreallyreallyreally mean it when I say I hope it never happens here."
    "I guess you could try asking Twilight, she might know a little more, I mean she kind of has no life aside from reading, talking with her spoooooooooky ghoooooost, and being a Frownface McGrumpsALot."
    Pause.
    "No offense!"

Twilight Sparkle (411) has posed:
     Twilight laughs a bit nervously at that last comment. "None taken." she says, then smiles before continuing her meal. "It would be interesting to discuss." she says, then frowns lightly. "If she could go an entire conversation without saying something...terrible." Twilight huffs softly then takes a bite out of her burger and chews. She just can't understand that other Twilight. Sure, if Celestia and Luna disappeared, Twilight would be upset. But, she trusts her mentor. If they left, Twilight is sure they would only do so if they knew that Equestria would be alright without them. In which case...ending up as a 'Frownface McGrumpsAlot' makes no sense. She can only think that it was something her counterpart did that made Equestria the way it is.

     Er..will be? Nnng...time-related stuff. Twilight shakes her head, then looks between the others. Pinkie doesn't want to talk about her Equestria, but now Twilight is curious. But, she doesn't want to be responsible for Pinkie actually becoming Pinkamena or something. So...small talk! "How is your burger, Pinkie? This place opened not long after we merged with the Multiverse. Apparently, out there they make patties out of vegetables. I think we had that sort of thing here already, but it got pretty popular after the unification."

Pinkie (470) has posed:
    "It's pretty good!" Pinkie chirrups, munching away between exposition. In fact, chowing down is probably a good idea right now, so she deftly avoids further broaching the Divided Equestria by munching away at her meal.
