---|---|
Date of Scene: | 29 November 2014 |
Location: | Bar and Grill at the Edge of the Multiverse |
Synopsis: | Fuki and Souji meet in the Bar and Grill to discuss solutions to Fuki's problems and negotiate an appropriate recompense. |
Cast of Characters: | Fuki, 627 |
- Souji Murasame (627) has posed:
Souji has ended up at the Bar and Grill at the Edge of the Multiverse. He was not initially contemplating refreshments at that point, but sometimes fate seems to have a better idea of what someone wants. Or /will/ want.
At the moment, Souji was instructed to find a seat. He has occupied a private booth, looking critically at the establishment as if seeking something to register a complaint about and not having done so as of yet.
The acquisition of an expensive bottle of wine is entirely coincidental.
- Fuki has posed:
It does not take Fuki too long, the place the one who she was to meet up with she has been to before. She floats around in that modified wheelchair, flying around in a confused daze, realizing one thing. What did Souji even /look/ like. Fuki shakes her head and wanders even more, the main thing she knows is that Souji is rich and had a company...
"So, look for someone with expensive tastes" that soft voice chimes out, floating around each stall and booth and table. At least until she spies an expensive bottle and a person with it. "Are you Mister Murasame?"
- Souji Murasame (627) has posed:
Souji sees Fuki arriving. She might notice an embedded HUD faintly changing in one of the lenses of Souji's glasses. One of them even shows a familiar image of Fuki in her normal body design. Looks like someone is looking some things up as he inclines his head slightly. "I am. Please, be seated." One might wonder what he means by that, until he gestures across from him. "If you wish refreshments, I can provide." He adds.
There is a moment as he swirls his wineglass. "I am a man who prides himself on finding ways to solve problems. The situation you are in is a problem that my subsidiaries are equipped to potentially resolve."
- Fuki has posed:
"Doing some research on me, Mister Murasame?" she questions only to hover down and land the hover wheelchair on the table. "Mind, I am not in the same as your display but I can attest I am Fuki." A small flash of her slipway and what comes out is Fuki's Fubuki body replete with a couple holes and a missing arm. "I would love a more durable body with the fallback of my own, MMS produced ones." she looks up to the man, nodding. "My Master may not have the money or clout to pay, but if you are in need of a six inch mobile assassin, I am your lady."
- Souji Murasame (627) has posed:
"It is proper to know the basics of one's associates." Souji replies aimply. He inclined his head again. "Indeed." He comments, looking more closely at Fuki. Her offer brings up possibilities. Slowly, he nods. "Your services would be an acceptable exchange. Your skills are evident, as witnessed in your recent efforts."
- Fuki has posed:
Fuki gives a nod a bit, "That much is true, always good to know your allies and the like." she gives a nod and then a bow in the wheelchair, "I appreciate the compliments about my skills, I may have been inactivate as of late but that has not dulled my programming one bit, though, I am curious on what it is that you're going to attempt to do, if you don't mind me asking. Making a Shinki body is quite difficult from what I hear, and MMS hasn't released the specs."
- Souji Murasame (627) has posed:
"What one man can do, another can replicate or improve. Such is the way of things." Souji replies impassively. "Galiandan technology does not function like most others. Magic is a part of everything we do. It is how our machines work, how our utilities function. It is very different than what I have gathered from the reports of outworld technologies."
He pauses, looking over the tiny mermaid for a moment. "But such things allow for opportunity. Murasame Heavy Industries already deals in combat drones, though they are not the same level of sophistication as your body. The work to replicate what is necessary will allow for new opportunities in design. Once an acceptable design is developed for your use, you will likely never be without a replacement body should the need arise."
- Fuki has posed:
Fuki gives a light nod and perks up once she hears the word Magic. "I see. Reverse engineer the body, see how it works and improve on the design. Even a simple solution is sometimes the most hidden one." she leans back into the wheelchair, a light smile upon her face. "To never have to replace my body again, it would save Master a lot of money. I can ease my burden on him then." she lets out a contented sigh, looking back up towards Souji.
"I heard you say magic. Are you talking about things like the use of Fire, Ice and Lightning? In my time as a Confederate Lieutenant, I've been gifted a monster that comes from what seems to be multiple incarnations of a world. YOu would not happen to know what a Coeurl is, would you?"
- Souji Murasame (627) has posed:
Souji nods. "Your Master would likely find working with us to be very comfortable for them, with the amount of independance that they allow you. We can ensure that they are well compensated for your time as well." Sweetening the pot with a small retainer is always nice.
He nods, then. "Fire, ice, and lightning are common magical expressions in our world. My homeland of Ramuh is constantly in a storm, and we have learned to harness it for our own ends. Such things are not the only limits, however." He pauses to take a drink of his wine, thinking for a moment. It seems he has still not found any exception to the quality of the bar.
"Couerls are common enough in our world. Some consider them popular pets when they are small, but if improperly handled, they can be dangerous. Such is not recommended for the inexperienced or incapable. Wild couerls can be exceptionally dangerous. And you keep one of your own?"
- Fuki has posed:
Fuki nods a bit, "My Master is a computer genius, I do not think he will have any problems working with you if you're in need of some more technological know-how. He's current with all of my world's tech so he might have things to offer and integrate with you." she give a nod at the explination, "I would like to have a visit one day then, Souji, if such would not trouble you."
At the question, Fuki gives a nod, opening up a window with a few pictures of Fuki as her Fubuki self mounted on a Coeurl. "That would be myself and Keesha. She's helped me through many a fight with people larger than myself. According to some beastmasters from a world called Ivalice, she knows quite a few things. And I'm in process of taming a behemoth as well. Though that thing is scary..." she shakes her head, "But yes, I do keep one, and have a contact to keep her fed, she's a hungry thing at times..."
- Souji Murasame (627) has posed:
"You, as well as anyone in the Confederacy, are welcome to come visit the Murasame sectors of Ramuh. We welcome those of the other worlds while the other corporations and noble families find themselves... confused. Opportunity is like lightning. It strikes and is gone." He thinks for a moment. "If your Master is interested, we could have openings available for him if he seeks to gain new perspectives and an interesting career with our Family. We are always looking for those with skill and talent."
He looks on at the pictures carefully as Fuki shows herself with the coeurl. "You appear to have it trained well... But then, it would be simpler for you. It would be easier to have it accept you as something that cannot be killed and fed to children." He squints at the mention of a behemoth. "A Behemoth... Would be impressive. Such beasts are untamable even in our own world. Some have tried, but none have succeeded in anything but managing to point it in the direction they wish it to rampage." He emits a tone of dark amusment. "... Shivans."
- Fuki has posed:
Fuki's smile brightens at the offer. "I'll have Master look into it, the only thing is, he cannot speak. He gets by though with morse code and text to speech programs..." she shakes her head as if she's putting a upsetting thought behind her. "Though, I do not think he will delicne the opportunity. He has been want to extend his knowledge, so it may be a good way to do it."
She chuckles, nodding. "She is trained well, prime stock from what I was told. She listens quite well, does as she's told and I do not think it my size that she has issues with, more so the way she was trained. As for that... even I am having those same troubles at times that... those 'Shivans' you called them are." a pause, "Can you tell me a bit more about the Ramuh sector... and these Shivans too?"
- Souji Murasame (627) has posed:
"We have ways to compensate for such issues. These exist in our world as well." Souji replies smoothly.
Once again, he nods at the mention of the training. "Quality begets quality when properly managed. You are fortunate to have access to such stock. Care for it well."
The mention of Ramuh causes Souji to lean back slightly, looking up into the distance as she asks. "Ramuh is a land of lightning and innovation. We are the most civilized people, and the most advanced, by necessity, as our land is wracked with eternal storms. We have harnessed those storms and the natural resources of the other Plates in order to give shelter and drive industry. The Council of Mayors ensures order and representation of the people before the King, and each of the Mayors ensures that their areas of the Great City are well cared for. We are a people of innovation and ambition."
He pauses, looking away for a moment. "Shiva, however, is an unforgiving wasteland of ice and danger. The people there are tough and contrary, some barbaric, and others cunning from the harshness. Even our technology finds it difficult to cope with the environment there, as there are few resources and many problems to contend with... Many of which are their own people."
- Fuki has posed:
Fuki nods in response. "I will, don't worry." she comments back before listening to the explination of the two places. "It seems that Ramuh is a wonderful place to be compared to Shiva. Perhaps Master would like it there." she nods, "Its sounds a lot more hustle and bustle than the quaint little home we have on the Confederate islands." she turns to look around and nods, a smile. "Perhaps I shall visit soon, I would love to see Ramuh for myself. Though, considering my size, I hope I don't get lost or hit by lightning."
"Though, odd question, why do the people from Shiva keep to Shiva instead of coming to Ramuh where it seems they'd be more safe compared? Though, if this is a question best not answered, that is okay too."
- Souji Murasame (627) has posed:
"The lightning is rarely a problem. We harness it to power the city. It is extremely rare that a bolt strikes past the skyline these days." Souji replies reassurringly.
He pauses when questioned about why the people of Shiva do not go to where it is safer. "Some are unwilling to give up what they know for the unknown. Others feel it will harm their way of life and traditions. Still others see the dome-cities we create as nothing more than a place to attack for resources. Unfortunately, the people of the worlds are not always logical. One must deal with the situation they are given, but no one is forcing them to remain in the glacier. It is their choice."
- Fuki has posed:
Fuki gives a light nod, placing a hand upon her chin as if thinking a few moments. "Perhaps, in time, they might see what they're missing, but it's okay." she looks down at her broken Fubuki body, "Feel free to use that as you wish, it may or may not get you anywhere and if it doesn't, I can try to get a second, fully functional body for you to engineer on." she nods, "And when you're ready, I will be willing to surrender my CMS for the test to see if it works. Just keep in mind, my CMS is my heart and brain. It gets damaged, there may not be a Fuki left to get."
- Souji Murasame (627) has posed:
"I will consign this to our research division and will take the utmost care." It's not like he has a lot of shinki bodies to research...
On the other hand, this is a problem that can be solved...
"I have every intention to ensure it is as safe as possible before you are in a position of risk. It would be extremely undesirable for you to come to harm as a result of our work."
He then smiles faintly, however. "I will keep you posted as to our progress. Once we complete our work, it may lead to new and desirable designs for your use." After all, invisibility spells are a thing...
- Fuki has posed:
Fuki gives a light nod, "Thank you then." she comments, giving another bow in her chair before lifting off. "I look forward to working closely with you, Mister Murasame. Both myself and my Master shall be glad to work with you. If you need me to... off anyone.. let me know as well." she smiles brightly, the Shinki obviously in a good mood.
"IS there anything else I can provide for you?"
- Souji Murasame (627) has posed:
"There will be nothing else required at this time." Souji replies. "I will be in touch." He lifts his glass slightly. "To a prosperous relationship." With that, he toasts.
The rest will come in time.
