1106/Uchiha and Uchiha
From Multiverse Crisis MUSH
Uchiha and Uchiha | |
---|---|
Date of Scene: | 09 December 2014 |
Location: | Office Block 15 |
Synopsis: | Madara and Miaka meet in person, and have a difference of opinion. |
Cast of Characters: | 645, 651 |
- Miaka (645) has posed:
To say that the offices in this block are clinical is an udnerstatement. The doors all look the same. The walls are stark white with harsh flourescent lights glaring down. The carpet is short and beige, laid over hard concrete with no padding.
Each door is wooden, with a name on it. M. UCHIHA is on a temporary plate in the bloc, written in neat script. Someone's scribbled a fan over it.
Inside of the office, Miaka is not garbed as a regular Uchiha. She wears a lab coat over a violet shirt, and a short gray skirt with darker leggings beneath. Tell-tale of her origins, from her knees down are tape wrap and the 'sandal' like shoes favored by ninja of her world.
- Madara Uchiha (651) has posed:
Having just come away from his second battle in two days against two Elites at the same time, Madara should probably be looking kind of roughed up, right? But no. As he makes his way towards Miaka's office, sweeping down the halls with a face that may frighten small children, he is actually pretty much completely intact. His long, black, spiked hair hangs down his waist. His skin has cracks or seams in it like one would find in pottery, and yet the texture everywhere else is still just human flesh. His red armor and black outfit are the same as a certain (colorless) stone statue at a certain Valley in the Land of Fire. His eyes are not the eyes of any living Uchiha, however.
They bare the three-tomoe Sharingan, glowing red in any shadows he passes through, but where there should be white surrounding them, there is instead only black. They are the eyes of one reanimated with the forbidden jutsu devised by the Second Hokage - Edo Tensei, Impure World Resurrection. That probably also explains the cracks in his skin.
When he reaches his destination, it actually requires a conscious decision on his part, as he stands right outside the office door, to open said door like a normal person instead of just smashing it inwards for daring to be in his path. That was how he had announced himself to the world when those Stormtroopers found his coffin in the desert. It probably would not go well here, though, and he heaves a sigh as he grasps the doorknob, turns, and pushes the door open.
He strides inside, and closes the door behind him, aware of how many people are in the room or not in the room rather quickly. He folds his arms across his chest and looks upon the Uchiha he has spoken to somewhat on the radio, but is only meeting for the first time. "Miaka," he acknowledges, with a small tilt of his head.
- Miaka (645) has posed:
Thank you for not smashing the door. It would have bene added to the medical bill.
Like Madara's, Miaka's eyes are fully matured Sharingan. She regards Madara with a sense of hesitancy, but gives a nod in return. "Madara." she replies, and she motions to the padded bench. "It is nice to meet your aquaintence. Please, have a seat."
She's familiar with his statue, with his form and face. There were images of it, and the first murmurs of 'Madara was right' when she had left Konoha.
However, she's not intimidated by him. She moves with a familiar grace around the meidcal office, pulling glass vials from the cupboards above, and assembling her tools.
THere is a leather roll that's been smoothed out and opened, containing a large variety of needles.
- Madara Uchiha (651) has posed:
The former head of the Uchiha Clan, when asked to sit, glances towards the needles laid out, before doing exactly that. Senbon can be useful as weapons, though they generally aren't capable of being lethal unless wielded by an expert. They have medical uses as well, however. They can both shut down and reactivated closed Chakra Points, possibly even increasing flow through some. Bleeding off a poison, carrying an antidote, pinning loose flesh around a wound down to make extraction of foreign objects easier...
There are many tools far better suited to both combat and medical ninja work, but they are still simple, multi-purpose, straightforward in their application, and easily modified for other uses. Only an expert medical ninja would bother using them, however. They are not for an amateur. Still, having something on display and being an adequate shinobi for Madara's purposes are two different things.
"I'm not sure if they're viable, since I am a Reanimation, but whatever the jutsu caster did to this body allows me to use Hashirama's own Wood Release techniques. I know from personal experience, mixing Senju with Uchiha can have some very interesting results. Cultivating those cells could have a variety of applications, including producing fully-functional transplant limbs and body parts. They even have their own regenerative powers." Madara's eyes flick towards Miaka, gauging her reaction to all of that, as he adds on, "I'm sure that would be useful in your line of work."
- Miaka (645) has posed:
"As some of my English-speaking counterparts like to say... there is more than one way to skin a cat." Miaka replies. She straightens up, and glances to Madara. "But to have a face on your chest might be rather uncomfortable. The first step is to determine if the cells are actually living cells, rather than reanimated by the partial reincarnation." she replies, and leans against the counter.
"I'm going to have to give you a preliminary exam, and take tissue samples from both you and the Senju face."
Miaka's reactions to the revelations, however, was muted. Her eyebrows had raised, but her mouth was set in a thin line.
- Madara Uchiha (651) has posed:
That seems reasonable. It's why he came down here after all: to find out if it's even possible to make use of it. One problem though. "I don't have any tissue of my own to take a sample of, unfortunately. A living sacrifice was used to resurrect me, and the body surrounding it is dirt and dust, shaped to look like I once did, and gifted with a portion of my abilities in life. Any damage is quickly fixed, and anything seperated from me dissolves quickly." He chooses to demonstrate pointing his right hand at himself, and growing a sharp, black, metal rod out of the palm of his hand. He uses it to slice open his own armor, and expose the left side of his chest. Scraps of dust and detritus fly from the damaged armor, and then begin to drift slowly back into place. Madara can purposely slow his rate of recovery, but only so much.
This may not be the more shocking of the spectacles that come as a result of Madara's actions, however. The pale patch of flesh seemingly merged with the shinobi's chest, has the same face protruding from it as the OTHER statue at the Valley of the End. Eye lids and mouth closed, no evidence of there being actual eyes or any other organs beyond just these cells, in the shape of face.
The second surprise is that Madara's eyes changed when he manifested that black rod. They are no longer Sharingan on a background of blackness. They are fully grey, and black rings radiate outwards from the centers. Madara snaps the chakra receiver rod off of his palm and lets it clatter to the floor. "As you can see, it is not really his face, but a recreation utilizing his cells. I already had some of Hashirama's cells transplanted into me before my death, but whoever brought back went a bit further." He sounds somehow amused and disgusted at the same time - but not horrified.
- Miaka (645) has posed:
"I see where that may be problematic." Miaka replies in a dour tone, but she watches with a sense of fascination as one of the most powerful Uchiha of all time slices away at the armor with the rod. The tomoe in her eyes revolve lazily as she takes in the whole of the action, the missing muscle movements. The Rinnegan. Oh, but she was familiar with that one.
"Curious. Most transplanted cells evolve in sheets. Was it purposefully created to reflect the Hokage's face?" she wonders out loud, her Sharingan looking to see if there was /any/ life left in Madara's "I can think of a few shinobi who would pursue that avenue." Miaka replies, her nose wrinkling a moment.
She dons gloves, and then readies a scalpel with a dish.
"I doubt this is a form of altruism on your part, Madara. I know my clan. There is always a plan."
- Madara Uchiha (651) has posed:
Madara nods in agreement. "It seems likely that it was intentional. Some form of symbolism on the part of the jutsu caster." There isn't much reason for it otherwise, of course. "I knew something was different about this body beyond its origins shortly after my revival. To be honest, I was expecting to be resurrected. But I was expecting it from a different source - the Rinne Tensei no Jutsu. I even gave my original eyes out on loan to that Nagato brat for that exact purpose!" Annoyance is obvious in his tone. There's ample Chakra flowing through Madara. Enough that even non-sensors can feel it at a distance, and that the entire room around him is colored with the cold, foul, malignance of his presence. But there's no sign of a heart beat. When he isn't drawing breath to speak, he doesn't breathe. Body heat is significantly below normal for a living human being. He is essentially a walking corpse - just a remarkably powerful one, with his reasoning skills fuly intact.
No simple zombie.
But Hashirama's cells... They are flowing with the First Hokage's Chakra, rather than Madara's, except where the cells meet Reanimated flesh. There, they mingle and become something else. Something stronger. At Miaka's assertion that Madara likely has some motive, he leans on his hand, resting his elbow on his knee, and looks Miaka in the eye. "I had an ally who was supposed to prepare the way for my resurrection. I've no idea where he is, or what he was thinking in allowing my remains to be used for Edo Tensei. But I indeed have a plan. The 'Moon's Eye Plan'. And it requires all nine of the Tailed Beasts to enact - by becoming the Jinchuuriki for the Ten-Tails."
Madara chuckles and straightens up. "Controlling them is much easier with the First Hokage's cells than by visual prowess alone, and if I am unable to be resurrected, then someone else needs to become the vessel and wield all that power. Until I find another Uchiha who is up to the task, and willing to take on the responsibility of becoming the Savior of this World, the new Sage of the Six Paths, preparing the tool that will let them do so seems only prudent. Wouldn't you say?"
- Miaka (645) has posed:
He'd be suffering from hypothermia had he lived. No breath, no heartbeat -- not that having no heart was a surprise -- Miaka calmly takes a scraping of the face, gently running the edge of the blade along the skin to gather a few cells.
And she's quiet regarding the plan. The long expose. She'd known a little of the Akatsuki from past encounters. She'd known less about the plan... but she had known about the Jinchuuriki.
She had just watched one be created before fleeing.
She covers the sample dish, and slides it into a little slot in the wall for cold storage, and she slides her pinkie finger beneath the glove on her left hand, and curls it upwards, then repeats the action with the right. She tosses the gloves in the disposal, and then goes to wash her hands.
"I should kill you where you stand. In spite of having the most powerful eyes, your myoptic sense of grandeur is nothing short of disturbing; the actions to undertake such a plan resulted in the kyuubi escaping its jinchuuriki and nearly destroying Konoha after the Third Shinobi War. The Uchiha Clan was not present to defend -- except for me, working triage in the hospitals to try and save the lives of the village I was born in. In a matter of months, the elders will take a vote to segregate the Uchiha clan from the rest of Konoha out of fear that we will rise up and end the peace that the Senju and Uchiha strived to keep in spite of hateful members of both clans."
- Madara Uchiha (651) has posed:
Madara listens to the explanation of future events, allowing his body to finish regenerating at its normal speed now that the tissue scrapings have been taken. In a matter of seconds, his armor has sealed back up. "Hate is exactly the problem I intend to fix." He says this calmly, no indicating of boasting in his voice, though perhaps a slight weariness. "The Third Shinobi War you speak of was nothing compared to the time before Hashirama and I founded the Village Hidden in the Leaves. It was a time of constant, never-ending warfare. Child soldiers, killing and dying by the thousands, all for the idiotic reasons of irresponsible adults. It was THEIR wars we were dying for. THEIR genocidal dreams."
Madara shakes his head. "But the problem goes back further than that. It goes back beyond humans receiving the 'gift' of Chakra, that was hoped to bring peace to all. Humans were warring before that too. Chakra only made it worse. The politics of the Hidden Leaf, of the Uchiha, of all the Villages combined, amount to nothing - because the world itself is fundamentally flawed. That power I seek is for one purpose, and one purpose only."
Madara gets to his feet. "To end war, hatred, and suffering. If you're so concerned about the fate of the Uchiha, of saving lives, then you should either support my plan to preserve both, or think of one yourself. Raging against the laws of this world, and blaming the one who can see the way to making a new world, where we can all finally just be happy, won't save anyone." He turns his back on Miaka, heads for the door, and opens it. Then he pauses there in the doorway.
"One more thing." He turns until he can look back over his shoulder, his eyes once more reverting to his normal Sharingan. He tersely says, "Don't talk about killing me as though you could actually do it. It's embarassing."
Then he steps out into the hall, leaving the door open behind him.
Whether he's a 'savior' or not, he's still kind of a jerk. But it seems like that's a trait endemic to the Clan.
- Miaka (645) has posed:
With a sweep of her hand, Miaka lets the door close, and she gives a glance to her senbon.
She plucks up one long, thick, steel looking needle, sharp at one end and flat on the other, and she feems the familiar crackle to it as she channels her chakra into it.
"Do not be so sure, Madara." she states quietly. "There is nothing more venomous than a viper... except a woman."
