Synopsis: Sokka and Ferham meet and get some ice cream, before discussing Ferham's future a bit.
Cast of Characters: 1076, 516

Sokka (1076) has posed:
Sokka was lounging at the ice cream place, leaning back. huh, last time he was here he had been with Eve. In retrospect, he was beginning to notice he was somehow managing to get a full plethora of kids he's taking care of.

Well, this one was a robot, right? Surely he wouldn't end up being HER big brother figure too, right? ... Yeah. He was tapping on his computer, humming softly as he worked, studying for his up coming exam as he waited for the strange girl.

Ferham (516) has posed:
After being given an invitation, Sokka wouldn't be left waiting too long. There is a shadow flitting over head, followed by a rush of wind--though not from the beating of wings or some kind of thrust from a turbine, it's more subtle, that of a body displacing the space just nearby and casting a quick but gentle wind.

Ferham lands several feet away from Sokka, her heeled boots clicking against the ground--long and wide metallic wings swivel back behind the impressively tall--and notably feminine figure, a few metallic clunking noises as they locked into place behind her.

"You're Sokka, correct? I'm Ferham," the H in her name was noticably silent, though she'd excuse Sokka for mishearing or misreading it earlier. She was 6'5" and rather intimidatingly figured, metal married to female curves. She took a few steps toward where he was sitting and offered a black gloved hand that was ribbed and taloned like a bird of prey's.

     "Hello there."

Sokka (1076) has posed:
Sokka starred for a long, long while. Blink blink. Wow. she... "You look AWESOME!" He said before taking her hand and shaking it. "So, ice cream is on me, order whatever you like. And tell me about yourself. Never met one of you guys before. Heck, back in my world, we're stiill figuring out steam power. Though we've begun to take in a bit of electrical power with the fire benders."

He leaned back, motioning her to sit and to the menu. "Oh, right. So, I'm sokka, paladin, southern water tribe. Toph's boy friend, helped the Avatar on his journey to, well, save the world. No special powers or anything, so try not to be too disappointed. I'm just a guy with a sword."

Ferham (516) has posed:
"You flatter me, I appreciate the offer of refreshments and meeting someone new, as well," Ferham would be gentle if he accepted the handshake, the black glove feeling like something between leather and polymer, if was familiar with the latter. Her green eyes made contact with his before she drew back, moving to sit down in the chair. Thankfully, her construction and armor was light-weight titanium, so the poor chair wouldn't be too stressed.

"Charmed--as for me, I have a bit of a... rocky history," she took a menu herself, briefly scanning over it--raspberry and vanilla would be lovely, but there was also something there with chocolate and a piece of fruit, hrm...

"I'm a former confederate, I don't have any affiliation right now, most of my friends were in the league previously," she looked back at him. "And why would I be disappointed? I had wondered what the tech level of your world was, however--your hairstyle reminds me of the Inuit tribe from my world," she nodded.

Sokka (1076) has posed:
Sokka nodded. "Well, we have a lot of steam powered stuff. Fire benders and all, make it pretty efficient. Though we use a lot of bender things, too. Non-bender tech has been becoming more common, but it's still fairly rare and inefficient comparatively. But with it, anyone can use it."

He glanced to the menu and... banana split for him. "Well, we were a tribe. Lived on the south pole. And the whole confederate thing is cool. Met a few of you guys who were still good. Like Jinx. And I wasn't around for much of the league versus confederate stuff, so never got really into the whole 'you're my enemy for life' junk."

Ferham (516) has posed:
"Right, I am aware of the power of the earth and metal benders," Ferham nodded, her expression sober. Seems she's seen the powers of such first hand.

"Toph, ah yes--I am familiar with the name," she makes it sound like she's heard of Toph, since she's famous--she carefully omits the fact she's come into conflict and confrontation on more than one occasion.

"I'll have what you're having," she nodded, before folding the menu and placing it back down.

"You ran into Jinx--? Oh my, I have been wondering where she went," she seemed surprised, and also fainly pleased, which is perhaps amusing, given how crazy and mercurial the magitech-wielding bandit could be.

"Err, well, moreso the Union versus the Confederacy, but they're both gone now," she shakes her head, with just a hint of wistfulness.

Sokka (1076) has posed:
Sokka nodded. "Yeah, ran into her a few times. Actually helped her and Toph sort out some of their problems. She's a good kid, all in all. Bit of a wild side, but hey, Toph has that too. In the right time and place, they probably would have been best friends. And besides, she seemed kinda lonely."

He nodded. "Ah, right. Union. I was with them, I think. Ended up joining the paladins soon after I got here, though. Everything got all shaken up."

Ferham (516) has posed:
"Oh, she's adorable--a little crazy of course, however," Ferham smiles, giving him another bit of eye contact. This was important for human interaction, after all. "Yes, the... sundering, I've heard some peasants from remote, rural villages refer to it as? It was traumatic," she leaned back on the chair, crossing one leg over the other in a ladylike manner.

"Paladins? I have heard of them, also the watch and Concord, I haven't exactly found a group that suits or interests me, yet," she shakes her head. "It is however nice to have some new friends," she smiled.

Sokka (1076) has posed:
Sokka nodded and gave a shrug. "Yeah. Our world got off relatively light, all things considered. It was pretty awful when it happened, though. I was stuck in this world, couldn't get home for weeks. Was really happy to find out my family was okay," he mumbled. "so, decide what you want?"

He then nodded. "Well, Paladins can be pretty good, if you wanna help people and like following the law. Bit up tight at times and I'm pretty sure I'll get kicked out eventually. But, you never know. They just wanna help people, and that's good."

Ferham (516) has posed:
"A banana split, I believe? What you were having," Ferham replied, nodding her head. Clearly Sokka hadn't caught her comment before, as her presence distracted him. Or at least that's what she fancies to think. She kept smiling at him, undaunted.

"You don't think you're long for the organization? Well, they seem in concept a little too close to the maverick hunters from my own world, I was not exactly a fan of them," she shook her head. Her speech seemed a little clinical at times still, but also as if she had picked up a fair amount of human turns of phrase and mannerisms.

Sokka (1076) has posed:
Sokka nodded. Seems he didn't notice. "Okay, two banana splits, then." hadn't ordered his yet, he was nice. He gave her a smile.

"Yeah, they're a bit... well, firm with the rules. But they haven't enforced any rules that I feel are wrong yet. The moment they do... well, that'll be an interesting time," he said with a shrug. "I joined to help people, and that's what I can do here. Besides, I'm used to this stuff. People usually have rules and laws for a reason. Usually."

Ferham (516) has posed:
"Thank you," she didn't mind having the male take care of the bill for her either, really. She seemed to enjoy the social interaction and meeting a new friend.

"I... admit I might not be the best with rules of that nature, or at least, strict monitoring of that sort," She placed a hand over her front, gesturing to herself. "Lets just say the confederacy allowed a great amount of freedom and leniency towards our personal conduct," she smiled again, a bit hesitantly.

"If we were to engage in illegal activities, well... they didn't make it their business, you know?" she nodded her head slowly. "The food sounds like it will be lovely, by the way."

Sokka (1076) has posed:
Sokka nodded. "Well, I can understand that. Not having oversight can be useful. All the trouble we had during the war was usually caused by people trying to watch over us and control us." He paused. "Though, that was a different time. Now we're not fighting a war, we're trying to stop a war from even occuring. To keep people safe, not make them safe. Different rules for times like that."

Their ice cream arrived a moment later. Quick service! He laughed. "Yeah, I can understand that, sometimes the laws have to be broken for the greater good. Still those who try to break it for their own good. Those people... are the ones I can't stand."

Ferham (516) has posed:
"Yes, so as you can see, I don't have a lot of... great history with groups tasked to go and... hunt others down, that sort of thing," Ferham shook her head. "Times that are passed now, and I'm sure you're not like that," then icecream arrived. The introduction of it causes her features to light up even despite her synthetic nature.

"Ooh, icecream!" she even chirps, before a spoon is taken and she gets into that stuff. Her red lipstick-clad lips are soon busy with the strawberry, chocolate and vanilla scoops and the whipped cream.

"My apologies, it's driving my sense of taste crazy," she manages between a snapping of cold frosty sweetness, but she leaves the fruit added to the dish for last. Rather than take it by the spoon in pieces, she actually tweezes it out of the dish with her gloved hand and fits the banana right into her mouth.

"Mm... so delicious," she doesn't seem to realize her own gluttony, of course.

Sokka (1076) has posed:
Sokka shrugged, laughing. "Nah, I've eaten with worse. And trust me, if anyone can appreciate a good meal, it's me." Judging by the few pounds he's put on, he's been enjoying more than a few.

He then nodded. "Yeah. I'm only one to hunt those who are... well, actually dangerously. You know how it is." He shrugged and took another bite. "Met some pretty crazy people out there with powers. And not everyone uses them responsibly."

Ferham (516) has posed:
Ferham likely didn't even realize what she was doing of course... OR DID SHE. Either way, she seemed to have thoroughly enjoyed the frozen delight. As she finished, she used a napkin to help clean herself off--jeez, she'd gotten it everywhere--and she has to take a second to clear it off, taking part of her lipstick with it, whoops. Mental note to reapply that later.

"This is true, I tend to discourage needless or cruel acts of violence myself, on humans and non-human sentients," she took a deep breath, apparently getting past the bothersome memories she had of the maverick hunters.

"It's good to hear you're not too overzealous in your work," she managed a smile again.

Sokka (1076) has posed:
Sokka shrugged. "Met a few people who were over zealous in things like that. Made me wanna slam my fist into their faces." He said with a shrug.

"Frankly, you can't hunt people like animals and stuff like that, just doesn't work. People are people, you gotta treat them as such." He didn't seem to notice her display at all, until... He reached out with a napkin and dabbed her cheek. "You missed some, kiddo."

Ferham (516) has posed:
"I suppose law enforcement could be a good change of pace, hrm..." Ferham shrugged, then looked over at Sokka. "If you like it there, anyway--I might look into it," a robot law enforcement officer? Clearly there is a joke here somewhere, but lets not go for the low-hanging fruit. She's got way better lips than Peter Weller, anyway.

"I'd rather not treat individuals cruelly anyway, I just wonder if I could stand being in such a group, I... well, you remember what I said before about illegal activities?" she grinned a little, tilting her head this way and that. "I engaged in a bit of thievery in my time in the confederacy, and such things. However I've never resorted to murder or the like, before, I'd rather not," she nodded.

Sokka (1076) has posed:
Sokka nodded. "Well, you can help a lot of people, that's the important thing. And heh, breaking the law?"

He just smirked. "I've been breaking the law since I was fifteen. That's the thing about fighting a war. When you're in their country, you're a criminal. We lied, tricked and scammed... for the greater good. That's the important thing. Doing it for others, not yourself. You can giv it a shot, then if it doesn't work... just go."

Ferham (516) has posed:
"I mean more... well, sort of also being a bit of a catburglar, it was a bit fun, but that was in the past," she set the dish down and the spoon, the ice cream having vanished into the robot woman's seemingly endless gullet. Likely the sugar will be put to good use in some conversion process into energy.

"I fear I've kept you too long, however--I will think over the paladins, for right now, however, you have yourself a good evening, alright?" and then, almost out of habit--she leaned over and would give him a peck on the--well, not quite the cheek, more like forehead. It'd probably leave a faint lipstick mark there, unless he pulled back from her, that is.

"It was lovely meeting you, all the same," she gave him a little wave, her wings extending behind her as she began to float upwards.

Sokka (1076) has posed:
Sokka blinked a few times. "Huh? Oh, nice meeting you too, Ferham. Maybe we can work together sometime," he said with a smile.

Odd, usually he was doing the kiss on the forehead thing. Oh well. She seemed nice. A bit lost, though. Maybe the paladins would do her good.
