Industrial Flight and Magitech
Date of Scene: 20 February 2015
Location: Galianda
Synopsis: The Starfleet Flotilla and its constituent members come to visit Souji Mirasame to negotiate the addition of some heavy lifting to their techno-adventure commune. Capitalism intensifies.
Cast of Characters: Kotone Yamakawa, 39, Staren, 627, Starbound Flotilla, 673

Souji Murasame (627) has posed:
Welcome to Galianda, enjoy your stay.

The entrance to the world reveals what looks like a number of continents on a massive armillary sphere, rotating in perfect time. The crafts sail past people who walk along a massive bridge that connects these continent, many of them stopping to stare at them, pointing in wonder and awe at the unusual designs.

And then you plunge into the dense clouds of Ramuh. The skies crackle is electricity, eternally giving the air an ozone tang as the bolts strike massive spires that rise up from the neon city below. Like something out of a cyberpunk dystopian fantasy mixed with a land of fantastic adventure, the glowing lights of Ramuh advertise thousands of products.

some might find it almost homey.

Eventually, they draw near to the Murasame Building. Those who dock in the facilities at Sector Thirteen will be met by accompaniment. Local security forces ensure that their ships will be well protected above and beyond whatever crew or autonomous defenses they possess, and they are given a smooth ride in a humming vehicle along a rain-slashed, massive highway straight down the center of Sector Thirteen, to the front of the massive Murasame Building. Those who teleport are given coordinates to the front of the building as well, while smaller landing craft are able to land atop the Building itself, where suited security men in glittering shades meet them and escort them inside.

The lobby is a wide affair of veined black marble, magical holographic displays showing many of the popular products of the Murasame Zaibatsu and featuring the various subsidiaries. The front desk receptionist, a slim woman in her late 20s with impeccable skin, a smile like roses, and eyes like a porcelain china mask greet them, smiling as they are ushed past a security checkpoint without being stopped.

Those arriving from the roof anf the lobby both disembark high in the building, escorted through a hall with rich wooden panelling with a hint of citrus scent. The carpet pile is short and a rich deep gray. The floor seems to be dedicated entirely to high ranking executive meeting rooms, next to which Souji Murasame himself stands, a pleasant, businesslike smile and impeccably clean and tailored suit ready to provide the image of the perfect businessman. He gestures, bowing to the arriving group with a smile. "It is a pleasure to see you all, Please, come in and let us discuss business."

The door is opened, the meeting room is revealed, a horseshoe-style table of deep, polished brown with a central projector present, as well as built-in consoles at each sitting place to connect to the local network. The room is lit with soft white light, easy on the eyes, with black leather chairs designed for that perfect balance of comfort... But not so comfortable so as to lull the mind into somnolence.

Souji stands next to the central chair, and gestures. "Please, be seated, and let us begin."

Staren has posed:
Staren arrives on foot. Just because he /has/ a ship now doesn't mean he needs to fly it /everywhere/. He stops as he steps into the lobby, blinking and looking around. This seems familiar somehow... After a moment, he shrugs it off and moves on. He takes in his... swanky surroundings without much further thought, and greets Souji with a smile and a nod. "You as well." He looks around for Rory and tries to get a seat next to her -- She's the most familiar face here. Jinx gets a... surprised and confusedlook. What's she doing here? Also, Staren can only awkwardly look away when he sees Moonfin. Nooot the best first meeting there.

As some concession to Formality, Staren's clothes are a bit different than normal. Under the labcoat are a button-up shirt with tie, slacks, and dress shoes, although they retain his favored color scheme.

Jinx (39) has posed:
If someone was expecting half-dressed and crazy Jinx, well... they'd have gotten half of that wrong.
The Loose Cannon has found herself a much more 'presentable' outfit for her task today. She's standing just behind Souji's spot at the table, out of the light of the projector, wearing a suit. Wait what? Yes, a suit, though it looks a little big on Jinx. Maybe it's armored or toughened somehow. She's also got a pair of sunglasses on, and Doorbuster rests at her feet, the coilgun ready for action if need be.

THough, she is playing with her phone and watching the goings on. You can't take Jinx all the way out of her element.

Kotone Yamakawa has posed:
Kotone Yamakawa had been curious about Galianda and now here she was, she had made sure to keep close she knew she could do enough to get around here on Ramuh but she didn't count not running into something she needed magic to power. Which left her out of luck in that case. The bulding was impressive, the entire city was made the ubranized sections of Canada and Japan seem like small towns. AS they are shown in she smiles a bit and bows slightly.

"Thank you sir for the warm welcome."

Kotone wll find a sot to sit and she looks over to the other collected for these talks.

Starbound Flotilla has posed:
Beams of thin red light descend from the skies and plant down on the ground in front of the building, where the coordinates are. All six Flotilla members plant on the ground without much incident. Today they're wearing something a bit more formal for each of their races. George is in a simple business suit, the fishman Moonfin has a black anachronistic japanese formalwear outfit, the robot princess Seft is wearing her standard noblewear, the bird-woman Pavo has acquired (and cleaned the blood off of) a pseudo-naval-officer outfit, Albert has a full proper military officer's uniform at its cleanest and best-worn, and someone has convinced Biteblade to wear at the very least business casual.

They'll check in with security at the receptionist, being surprisingly patient but quick about things in a way that makes it obvious that Moonfin has yelled at them a lot to get them in line for this. He's the one who speaks up immediately to Souji. "A pleasure, Mr. Murasame. Certainly. We will use as little of your time as we can to make our offers." All six will take seats, spread out around the table. Moonfin is the picture of dignity, even at Staren's presence. He can forgive the attack, even though you can still see a faint line in the flesh above and below his left eye, from that plasma blade. Jinx, they don't know, but the coilgun is eyed warily, and the security wordlessly acknowledged as impressive.

"Now, as you have been so gracious as to be our host and agree to our meeting, Mr. Murasame, we will focus first on what our Flotilla has to offer you, in terms of our own R&D, as well as our manufacturing, trade, and deployment options." Moonfin says, sitting down and pulling out odd binders full of translucent blue paper from his Matter Manipulator, the little yellow two-pronged industrial tool strapped at his hip. "You have little need of more generalized industrial manufacturing capacity at this point, I am sure. It is our impression that your needs lie more in Extraversal engineering. The first of our offered services, to be exchanged, is just this."

Tapping the paper, Moonfin has it wirelessly transmit data to the projector. The files are white papers about the Starbound Flotilla's research and development work; reworking multiversal high technology into practical metalwork crafting apparatus for nonlethal electric weapons, turning reality-warping carcasses into hydrokinetic technologies, and most immediately and centrally, unifying some of those magical crystals Artyom recovered previously with an advanced FTL system. "Our portfolio of past works, we hope may speak for itself; it is small, but we are still amid our founding stage. We wish to provide our services to you, in this capacity, to enhance the revanue you can extract from Extraversal solid assets in the research sector."

There's clearly more to this pitch, but Moonfin will pause conveniently for any questions or feedback from Souji.

Rory White (673) has posed:
Rory's arrival is hand-in-hand - so to speak - with the core Flotilla members! A seventh beam of light - probably from Moonfin, Biteblade, or Seft's ship - joins theirs moments later.

She's made sure to clean up and be completely presentable! Her Morph's undergone a thorough cleaning and redressing, so the blue hair's thick and shiny, all the grimy smudges of working with robotics have been scoured clean of her synthflesh and outfit... and that outfit seems rather well-suited to the occasion!

It's a labcoat, but with utility pouches up the wazoo. It's a labcoat, but it closes in the front vaguely like a business suit, and it billows around her legs much like a dress or perhaps the robes of some incredibly modest priestess. A pristine white with trim matching her hair. There's no seams and it has no stiching... as if it were almost entirely one large piece assembled at once. How strange.

"Yes, let's! Good to meet you!"

She's beaming at Souji, but there's something a little fake about the smile. It's hiding her nervousness and anxiety over this. Oh, she's excited and interested.

    But also conflicted.

Her body language is also not quite the best. She's glancing all around the white room with the sweeping sequential gaze of a rotating camera to take it all in and her motions are a little clipped here... or overly exaggerated there.

She's uncomfortable in her own skin, as always.

Souji Murasame (627) has posed:
Souji greets each arrival in turn, providing each of them exactly the same deference. Even if Moonfin is functionally taking the lead, it appears that Souji wishes to ensure that all present are accounted for in some manner. If Rory's inexperience with having a body is noted by Souji, he doesn't seem to be giving any sign of it.

"Do not mind Miss Jinx. She is here as an example of what we have to offer." A faint smile touches Souji's face, perhaps an attempt to reassure them in the face of the heavy weaponry. Absolutely nothing is going to keep Jinx from carrying a huge gun of some kind everywhere she goes.

He sits after they have also done so. The data transfer is smooth enough, the data on the papers displays on the magitechnological holographic projector, and Souji looks down at the console, tapping a few things. Several portions highlight in the data that swirls around the papers. "You have several points of interest." He says, looking up and turning his gaze towards Moonfin and the rest of the Flotilla. "I am to understand you are a loose organization of irregular ship captains, this is correct? I am told that a common saying is that 'necessity is the mother of invention'. Your work shows many signs of having to have made do with substandard environments, tools, and materials."

He pauses, nodding. "This speaks well for you. Innovation is a valuable trait both in settled lands and in the frontier." He looks between the Flotilla, Rory, and Staren. "I do have interests in adapting both local products to use outside of our world, as well as bringing new opportunities to our own lands from without. This is a valuable service."

He taps at the console himself. "You are seeking out equipment to help you with servicing your fleet. Not all of your repairs and upgrades can be performed while you are in flight. We have stnadardized drydock facilities that can be constructed in a variety of locations that have been used to service airships. These can be modified to assist with supporting your craft as well. The capacity of the dock will, of course, factor prominently into the cost of construction and maintenance, however."

Kotone Yamakawa has posed:
Kotone Yamakawa takes a look to see the other Flotilla personel who are here with them for the meeting, she knows certaint things. She also does have skills to offer in trade that would help Souji's company reach certain markets which would be harder for his company to reach. She nods at the mention of extraversal Engineering as it's brought up. She's used to dealing with business, but well she's not like Rory from a group that doesn't really use money anymore she did get that. She now how ever settles in to listen. She listens to what Souji says, "So I preusme you'd want our services as Engineers and designers to be able to expand your product lines into extraversal markets, such as worlds which are without magic of any sort?"

Jinx (39) has posed:
Jinx lifts her hand and waves at the group. "Hiiiiiii~"

There's a little distant look in her eyes though as she catches Souji's words, and then snort, giving the Coilgun a tap with her foot. "Of course, I had to modify it a little bit moyself, but it's a good piece of machinery." A grin. "I could show you why I call it Doorbuster~"

Staren has posed:
Staren looks between them as they discuss what each party is interested in. Time to throw his own hat into the ring, he supposes.

"My own interest here was prompted by discussion of a working together to mine planetary bodies in their galaxy. Of most interest to me is the material 'erchius', which has a number of interesting properties and potential uses... of secondary interest is other potential materials we may find -- metals and radioactives useful for a variety of technological applications -- and of conversion of the mine into, well, a space base which may have other uses."

"...To the table I bring automation and robotics skill, as well as understanding of nanotechnology so Rory doesn't have to manage it alone. Also, why transport machines to space, when we can animate the rock itself to work for us as golems? I mean, we may need machines too, but it can help..."

Rory White (673) has posed:
Animate the rock itself? When Staren mentions this, Rory's eyes go wide rather quickly. That's innovative alright! Weird, but innovative.

Her attention is more on Souji however. "I'd debate you on the issue of tools," Rory begins gently, a more natural and enthusiastic smile showing for the others, "But the rest is unquestionably as you said. Robotics, information security and systems management are my specialties, but more than once I've been called a fast learner. Those adaptations won't be a problem!"

Well at least someone's confident about this!

Starbound Flotilla has posed:
Seft is the one who speaks up there. Her monotone is robotic, but her posture is like a human noblewoman. "Affirming. We are loose in that sense. While our decisions are not always made unanimously, we act in unison, and as a group abide contracts made with the Flotilla as a whole. Our circumstances are somewhat unsteady, that is correct. We attempt to hold ourselves to the standards of a more organized group regardless."

George nods at Souji. "Yeah, orbital work is fine for some stuff, but not all of it. We can do our craftworks in space, but we're no good with full on hull re-engineering. out in orbit with just your hands. Gotta have something to do the heavy duty stuff. We'll probably need a six-ship dock, which is a pretty heavy thing to ask for, so we're gonna bring a lot to the table to make it worth your while. That's how this goes, right?"

Moonfin gestures politely at the others. "As you can see, we are defined, in a way, by making the most out of very disparate elements. Chaotic circumstances have cultivated a degree of skill in unifying the unlikely, adapting it to work together. Adapting your products to work with the Extraverse, adapting Extraverse technologies, substances, and materials to work with your own, we can assist." And then a plaintive gesture. "And in exchange, docks from which our ships may be modified and serviced would be what we seek. However, there is also what Staren speaks of, the opportunity to build new facilities."

Biteblade speaks up... Slowly. It's clear they're trying to behave in a civilized way, and even speak in one, though they have a bit of a hissing accent. "Facilitiessss in frontier and unssssettled locations are ssssomething we can help with. Mining, resssearch, obsssservation. We do not have the ssstaff to maintain facilitiesss, but we have the technology and resssources to build them. We had hoped for a sssecondary exchange, to provide more infrassstructure for your workersss in exchange for negotiated share of the materialsss." As soon as Souji is looking away, the tribal makes grossed-out faces, like they just ate something bad. Talking like that is weird! Meanwhile, Moonfin is giving a few pleasant, approving nods to Jinx, but silently making a plaintive gesture to Souji. Hey, if Souji wants her to sate her Threshold Bloodlust, Moonfin will be fine! But he's deferring.

Albert makes an apegrunt. "When deployed to any safe locale, we can have a full housing, mining, and storage facility capable of sustaining several hundred workers assembled within two hours. Frontier areas with hostile fauna or locals increase this time logically. Our secondary exchange is to trade facility building and fortification for a share of their output when manned by your workers, and assistance in another large-scale facility in the farther future."

Moonfin brings it back. "As you can see, Miss Yamakawa, Mr. Wiremu and Miss White have their own substantial specialties. Miss Yamakawa, I believe, is a well-qualified small vehicles engineer of some multiversal renown. I, myself, am an engineer in the field of practical teleportation sciences, as well as a bladesmith and melee weapons engineer."
"Hull engineering and architecture for large crafts." George says.
"FTL and other engines." Pavo asides, casually.
"Eludicating. Personal armor and psionics engineering." Seft beeps.
"Computer sciences and military weapons engineering."
"Technologiesss extraction." Biteblade says, after a pause figuring out how to say "scavenging" professionally.

"As you can see, varied expertise." Moonfin says, with a pleasant smile. "While I do not expect the exchange to be paid off immediately, I hope to have our Flotilla offer its services long-term in exchange for your assistance, and perhaps further assistance as we progress."

Souji Murasame (627) has posed:
Souji looks to Kotone first, nodding. "Indeed. Your assistance with adaptation and testing would be invaluable. There is only profit and enrichment to be had by working to bridge the gaps between Galianda and the rest of the Multiverse, and those of you here can bring a great deal of that change."

Staren brings up the mention of the mining, and Souji gestures in the air, a flicker of energy on the console bringing up the Valodjn Mining insignia, as well as images of their mining and refinement operations. "We are also interested in these resources, and are willing to help you get them, Mr. Staren. All we would ask for is a reasonable share of the output. I cannot say if your golems would be able to perform the tasks or not, however. I do not know their capabilities. I can only speak as to what I am capable of providing."

Rory gains a nod as well. "Then I am duly corrected, Ms. White. I have heard tales of your nanotechnology fabricators and matter manipulators. They are quite impressive. Perhaps one day we will learn how to replicate such things at a larger scale."

Seft explains the organization of the Flotilla in general, and Souji gestures, "Once you have established yourselves with a firmer hand, I am sure what issues remain will be mostly resolved. A strong forward momentum does much to bring people together, I find."

George helps establish the desired scale, and Souji adjusts his glasses for a moment with a businesslike neutrality. "Indeed, you are precisely correct. Mr. George." Souji makes some adjustements to the basic outlook, altering the dock from a single port to a revolver-style affair where each of the ships are held on docking arms. "This is one possibility. While it can take time to enter and leave, it is efficient in the use of space, material, and equipment." There is another touch on the console, and it changes to a more widespread set of six individual entry and egress ports. "This is the other main design. It will allow for rapid individual traffic but will not be as efficient. There are many choices on the details."

Moonfin provides more information about their success with disparate elements. "Once the dock facilities are established, expansion into whatever they are anchored to, be it an asteroid, moon, or planet, would be a simple affair. I am confident that our combined efforts can handle it."

Biteblade speaks then, Souji listening intently. It's clear that the hissing accent is more difficult to deal with, leading to him having to pay more attention. "Staff are also a problem I can assist in solving. Miss Jinx, for example, is currently contracted with our KIRIN Personal Security Services, and I can attest to her ability to protect facilities from unwanted elements."

Those bums never knew what hit them.

Jinx's offer, however, causes Souji to simply reply, "If you choose to demonstrate the weapon here, the damages will be taken from your paycheck. The weapon is quite effective,, Indeed."

Albert then lays out how quickly they can engage in construction. This actually causes Souji to look genuinely surprised. "Two hours for facilities for several hundred workers? That is... fascinating." He rubs his chin for a moment, considering as Moonfin replies again. "I will have to consider the offer of your construction abilities, but I believe your combined research and development skills will be of greater use in the meantime. It will, of course, take an extensive amount of material to establish the docks, as well as transport to the desired location. I can draw up an estimate of costs and provide you with a contractual arrangement for your organization for handling and payment. I think what you have to provide will be more than sufficient to handle the costs over time."

Staren has posed:
Staren blinks. "Of course... I was just saying, I can offer both expertise in both robotic and magical automata. And whatever uses we find for Erchius may benefit us all."

He looks to Albert. "That /is/ impressive. Is it due to the matter manipulators that you can get facilities constructed that fast, or something else?"

Staren has posed:
Also: /Pavo's/ the one who's an expert on FTL? Darn. Staren's not sure he wants to talk with her. It might be easier to figure out on his own, than to try and work out /that/ social situation.

Rory White (673) has posed:
Hearing Biteblade speak so FORMALLY is another thing that gets Rory wide-eyed. She's never heard the plantperson try so hard to sound fancy...

But once again she has a pleasant look for Souji in answer.

Capitlism might not be her thing, but cooperative efforts are fun in their own way after all!

"The Matter Manipulators fascinate me too. If we can just find some to study... carefully... I hear they are black box devices too valuable to risk tinkering with." She glances at the others for confirmation on that, but then faces Souji again.

"And I recall we were going to work on expanding the information networks!"

Kotone Yamakawa has posed:
Kotone Yamakawa takes a moment to get her self in order. "when it comes to my full set of skills vehicle mechanics, drone operation, information processing and analysis also a high compatibility factory with a large number of extraveral computer systems. I have also done a fair bit of materials recovery as well. While not professionally trained I do have some skill in information security."

Taking a moment to fully explain her skill set. It tool Kotone a moment to find the way way to set up her skill set as she is a minor player in the Flotilla, at least as she sees it. Still she understands just what a chance it is for her and everyone else involved. She is a bit late yes but getting her set of skill on the table is not a bad thing no?

As talks go on she watches Souji's reaction to how fast they can build.

"I seen it first hand ho what they can do is a sight to see."

It's just a good thing things ended peacefully with XCOM that day to be sure. She's also up for this deal it's funny with the number of doors that have been opened from her time off world.

She look to Rory and says, "That's something I'd like to be up to and I'd be lying to say if I was not curious about the matter mainilators myself."

Starbound Flotilla has posed:
"Matter Manipulators and some architectural history." George asides to Staren casually, with a bit of a shrug. "Gotta have both, though. or at least the architecture side." Then he's flicking out a bit of his own translucent blue paper, grabbing data and examining it more closely. "Probably gonna go for the first one with a side of escape pods, I'll be in touch with the design stuff." He seems very well versed with space station design stuff, from the look of how he dives into the info!

Albert does an ape-grunt. "If you do not have a location in mind, we will scout one. A lunar base would be best, to acquire liquid Erchius for both our purposes quickly." He sounds like he's laying out a military strategy. "We can provide Oxygen nanoskins to your workers as part of the exchange." Rory is regarded, and grunted at too. "Communications and networking. I will assist where I can."

Moonfin clasps his hands after gesturing to Albert. "We are not only experts in Extraversal adaptation, but we have our own share of technologies we offer to you as well. As Miss White has said, some of them are... 'Black box', technologies we can't duplicate, but we have many that we can, that could be useful for you."

Biteblade nods several times, eagerly! For a moment, the plant-person trips over their own words. "Floran, will wait. Firssst, prove we can give profitsss, then, bigger dealsss." Then it seems to catch itself. "Floran mean... Er, I mean, yesss. Sssomething for the future. We'll take these dealsss one at a time."

Seft beeps briefly. "Optimistic. We will assist in the construction where we can, perhaps as a demonstration. I believe we can have the initial structure of the facility established within a matter of days, Thank you for your hospitality and for the business opportunities, Mr. Murasame." She makes a pleasant, friendly series of synthetic tones. "Determined. We will do what we can to make it worth the time."

Pavo keeps out of this for now, leaning back. When Staren hears about her expertise in Erchius matters, and likely next time he looks at her, she winks mischievously at him. What does it mean? Nothing, actually. She just revels, slightly, in trolling.

Staren has posed:
"Oxygen nanoskins? What are those? And what do you mean by a 'lunar' base... surely not one on Luna?" Staren wonders.

Staren's gaze briefly meets Pavo's. He frowns and looks away. Very faintly making the 'Marge noise' under his breath.

Starbound Flotilla has posed:
"A base on a moon, where Erchius can be found. Luna, of our universe, isn't to be touched." Albert says, stressing that last part at Staren. "Oxygen nanoskins give oxygen without inconvenience. Simple."

Jinx (39) has posed:
Jinx has been chastised by Senpai! OH NO!
The Loose cannon just pouts and grumbles. "It'd only be a medium sized hole in your office."
She sighs, and goes back to texting on her phone. Whoever is on the other sode of that convo is getting an eyefull.

Staren has posed:
"Erchius is only found on moons? How does that... how is..." Staren is leaning forward in his chair, then slumps back. "Astrogeology must be... must have some interesting new principles in your universe."

Souji Murasame (627) has posed:
Souji is sending out orders. He doesn't look like he's doing much, but he's multitasking. He's good at that. "Indeed, Ms. White. I would like to find a way to connect our MogNet to more conventional computer networks on a large-scale basis, so we can more easily share cultural and scientific information." Among other things.

"Excellent, Mr. George. I will put you in touch with an engineering team from AMATERASU Heavy Industries to help design the docking systems to your specifications."

Albert supplies more information. "You have had more experience with examining space than we have. We have not had the occasion to see if anything lies within the void outside Galianda."

He looks over Moonfin and Biteblade, considering, and nods once more. "Indeed. That will be contributing a great deal. Over time, we can find out what will be usable sooner or later." He ponders a moment, then asides. "If you all would like, our own world has a great deal of interesting terrain. Unusual flora and fauna, dangerous monsters to hunt and perhaps even treasures to uncover. When our business is concluded, perhaps you might be interested in further work of a more adventurous nature as well." Perhaps he's making a pitch to the more punchy members of the Flotilla. Maybe not...

When all is said and done, Souji stands and offers a sheaf of papers to Moonfin, since they seem to have been the most leaderly of the Flotilla. "This has our initial estimates. Once the design specs are completed we will have a final estimate for you. Once that is complete, we will be able to proceed." He looks to Staren, and nods. "I will be sure to have our representative from Valodjn Mining get in touch with you about the construction and administration of the mining complex."

Staren has posed:
Staren tilts his head to the side slightly, and leans forward again, elbows on the table, fingers pressed together. "Don't I have to sign something for being part of this business too? Or do... the rest of our" he waves his hand around the table, "parts not come into it until theirs is worked out?"

Souji Murasame (627) has posed:
Kotone's list of skills cause Souji to nod. "You would do well working with our engineering teams, Miss Yamakawa." He replies. "Perhaps you would benefit from being with Mr. George as he speaks with the engineers."

Staren brings up another point. "You will all be sigining the documents, but this is just something you all can look at and consider as you like." Souji replies. "I assumed all of you would be looking at it before we moved to the final phase."

Staren has posed:
Staren ahs and nods, satisfied with this answer. "Do you have copies? Electronic, by any chance?"

Rory White (673) has posed:
"if there's a connection to begin with, then converts are a natural progression! Once I learn how the Mognet works in brief, finding a bridge method shouldn't be too difficult!" Well Rory's positive about this at least!

Soon her attention turns to Moonfin though...

Kotone Yamakawa has posed:
Kotone Yamakawa nods to Souji as he brings up whom she might work with.

"That would be good I think, if George has no issue with it? I do think that would be a fine starting point. If there is a Digital form that would be quite useful, I'd be able to go over it faster in such a format."

<Well Rory this is a heck of an oppertunity.>

Souji Murasame (627) has posed:
"MogNet is sustained through the exchange of data through a Call-Mog protocol." Souji explains. "In other words, tiny moogles are flying from place to place carrying data from one place to another." He says this without smiling. "The problem is that the system is based on native Galiandan magitech, it runs on its own power supply. While the problem of said power supply is something that we are working on resolving, it is more of a matter of designing and enacting a common protocol for a data exchange between our systems and more typical systems. I believe this is something you would be able to help with, Ms. White."

He looks to Staren, and withdraws an mPad, pulling up the documents and handing it over to Staren. "There is a prototype converter in this room that responds to cerain types of extraversal network signals. If you can connect to it, you should be able to do the transfer, but it is... unreliable, to say the least."

Starbound Flotilla has posed:
"We will scout a moon within our own galaxy, in that case. Consider this facility your first foothold in our world, and the start of some worthwhile expansion. Dying as itmay be, there is profit to be found for an industrialist who can offer the services they need." Moonfin says, grinning lightly. He accepts the papers, looking them over in detail, and signing anything that needs signing if this is all above-board here. "It has been a pleasure doing business with you, Mr. Murasame, and I thank you for your time. I hope this arrangement can blossom into a mutually beneficial partnership with time."

Biteblade looks a little intense. "Floran isss-- Ahem. I am a hunter by trade, and the Flotilla isss a capable group of sssoldiers too. If you have other work, pleassse call us, we will be happy to asssist." Treasure means more crafting tables! Important stuff.

Seft beeps curiously. "Curious. You are having trouble converting magical signals to wireless signals? My experience in psionics engineering and wireless networking may assist. I will try to work with the others," She robotically gestures at Rory, Staren, and Kotone. "To try to establish reliable connections."

Staren has posed:
Staren listens with interest. At first, he smiles at the joke about tiny moogles, then realization dawns. "...If you need help getting a converter working, I'm your guy! I'm sure I can figure it out..." In the meantime, his support AI starts cycling through protocols, searching for the device in the room with his head radio. "The potential of magic to computer interfacing has always interested me, but with the kinds of magic I know how to use limited as they are, all I've really been able to /do/ is make my golems interface with electronics." He looks the mPad over, curiously. "Wait a minute, how is this being powered? I'm not... ah, can you channel power into it at range? I guess I don't know how your magic works at all, do I..."

He intentionally opens his PPE reserve, attempting to allow the mPad to draw on it. This may or may not be a terrible idea.

Rory White (673) has posed:
After nodding once in understanding to Souji, Rory does the same with Seft and Staren. "Programming is to me almost what breathing is to you! Between all of us it shouldn't be a problem at all! ... That arranement's not unlike how my world's networks function. There aren't mystical components involved but the concept sounds similar..."

Kotone Yamakawa has posed:
Kotone Yamakawa hear from Souji there isa and nods.

"I shall give it a shot I should hae an adaptor that should work."

She goes quiet as sh elitens it seems they got some work to do at this point. She looks to to be more than ready to sign but it's clear given her world she's going to read the entire contract over before she signs for a moment.

"Humm so an issue converting between magic and tech? Given out conversations in the past. It makes sense, a world without magic is an alien thing to you, as how your world is built to my own world."

Souji Murasame (627) has posed:
The mPad gives a very gentle draw on Staren's magical reserves. "The power grid in Ramuh is maintained by the eternal electrical storms running through our land. It is absorbed be the Runic Spires and then sent through the grid to whatever needs MP to function." Souji explains. "I gave it enough power to function for a while. The draw is usually quite reasonable for simple devices."

Rory and Staren both bring up how they want to handle it, and Souji gestures. "I will put you in contact with the FUJIN team working on the project. I am sure you assistance will accelerate things dramatically."

Kotone gains another nod. "To be without magic on Galianda is... A very unpleasant affair. Magic is everything here. It is our physics, our weather, our technology."

He pauses. "But enough of that. We can speak of these things in more detail later. For now, I can arrange rest and relaxation for all of you, if you wish, It would not do to send you home without allowing you to partake of what Galianda has to offer."
