Serenity (607) has posed:
    Otho, the site of this particular Out of Place Scenario, is a walled city-state that technically owns much of the surrounding lands, including villages. As a sovereign state, they largely remain neutral because there's really nothing important enough here to make it worth the bother. It's a low tech, low magic world and the area has no real resources but good farmland. They have stone and iron and such things, but not in rich quantities. It'd probably be /nice/ to have, but there are just higher priorities.

    It is market day, which is probably why Serenity chose this day to put together a team. She's given information on the local clothing and what little of the customs she could find. On market day, the gates are open and the security is at its lowest. Serenity herself is dressed in normal, if worn clothing, with a thin blindfold over her eyes. This makes her look like a petite blind girl, but she also has no problem showing that she carries a sword. The 'blind swordswoman' thing must be something she feels safe going with.

Nagisa Shiota (730) has posed:
    Nagisa has shown up wearing nothing but a homespun shirt and pants, with a travel cloak. Underneath all this he's wearing his duty clothes, and his belt pouch carries most of his usual stuff. Inside the cloak, he has a taser, and a knife is up one sleeve. Otherwise he looks like a normal teenage boy. As a Last Chancer, he isn't hanging exactly /with/ the group.

    Which is fine, because his manner of going through the gates is to just walk right through, as if he is supposed to be there, with a quiet and distant-looking expression on his face.

Ban (728) has posed:
Ban's wearing his red leather studded shirt and a pair of jeans as he arrives. Taking care of some king or something is the mission, right? Sounds like fun, and possibly a fight or two involved. Maybe they'll have some local ale to pick up afterwards (or before, if he gets the time!) to collect the labels of.

Despite probably not looking like he belongs there at all, he's going into the gate after Nagisa. The question is, does he actually notice Nagisa, or did he also decide to just strut in? Probably the latter.

Dominic Masoch (655) has posed:
Dominic has arrived and is dressed in his normal affair. It is archaic-modern enough to fit into most settings as either a noble adventurer, travelling noble, or many other subsets that are preceded or followed by the phrase 'Noble'. With one hand kept on the hilt of his rapier, Dominic looks around and wanders his way through the crowd.

Missing where he's going, he bumps into Nagisa owing to not telling he was there in the first place. He blinks a few times, "Sorry, Miss." He notes, mistaking Nagisa for a female and steading her with both his hands before walking along.

He has some generic silver coins in his hand and appears to be putting up an image of a busy Noble trying to buy useful items from nearby stalls.

So what in particular, you may ask, does one Chloe von Einzbern do when she is bored?

The answer to that is quite simple. She involves herself in other people's business to alleviate her lack of entertainment. It might be why when no one is looking she SUDDENLY APPEARS, looping her arms around Dominic's with a "Heh heh~."

Normally she would look absolutely horridly out of place in her trendy modern clothes. But today she's not wearing shirts and skirts.

That dress is way too ornate and frilly. She could probably pass for some minor young noble that decided to run off on her own. "Big brother you ran off without me again~."

Ignoring the fact that the two don't look anywhere close to related, that seems to suddenly be her story and she's sticking with it."

Serenity (607) has posed:
    If it wouldn't break cover, Serenity would facepalm. Maybe she should have brought a different three. Four. Four people. She keeps forgetting about Nagisa, even though her particular sight can see him /much/ more clearly than most. Something about his attitude, probably. Still, despite her worry, the guards don't really seem too into their jobs. They don't even NOTICE Nagisa, as is standard for him, and the others get barely a glance if that. Getting into the city was... disturbingly easy.

    The city itself is still pretty bustling, but there seem to be a lot of guards. In addition, everyone keeps glancing over their shoulders, with a notable air of nervousness. Well, the natives do, at least. Scaffolding is in the large manor in the distance, making it PRETTY obvious where the supposed new ruler is. The construction they're using, though, looks somewhat strange.

Nagisa Shiota (730) has posed:
    Okay, they're in. Easily. That makes Nagisa nervous. The young blue-haired boy mumbles something to Dominic, adjusting his cloak before splitting off and going further into the city. "Odd. Everyone is looking so nervous..." Which means, if he wants to blend in...

    Nagisa starts looking over his shoulder now and then, before finding an alleyway where he swiftly clambers up a wall and onto the roof, bounding from one to the next to move across the rooftops and toward the manor. He wants to get a closer look before actually trying to scale the scaffold.

Dominic Masoch (655) has posed:
Chloe is suddenly hanging off his arm in an outfit that he never expected she would be wearing. Dominic takes a couple moments to fully parse what is happening before he says, "Ah, my apologies, Elizabette." He places a hand on top of hers and pats it a couple times.

"I wished to do a little shopping, but now we simply must proceed," Dominic says with an authoritative tone. If there's one thing being a noble teaches you to abuse, it's looking like a noble. Dominic has found that most people, even guards on duty, won't bother you if you look three things: 1) Like you belong, 2) Like you're in a hurry, and 3) Like you're very annoyed.

Presumably with Chloe in tow, Dominic starts to briskly walk towards the large manor, putting on his best 'we are annoyed and in a hurry' face that he can manage and just heading straight towards it like anyone who stops him would be in Serious Trouble.

Ban (728) has posed:
Nagisa's trying to sneak in, while it seems Dominic's going to try and bluff his way in. Ban's going to follow a bit behind Dominic before moving towards any cover near the manor. How Dominic does will let him decide what to do next, he's not ready to start fights /just/ yet. That might get him in big trouble too soon!

"A boy huh?" It's an idle musing as Chloe briefly WATCHES Nagisa break off from the group. Keen Archer eyes miss very little, but aside from this she keeps her trap shut and tosses her hair in a very snooty flicking motion.

"Shopping without ~me~?" 'Elizabette' sniffs in mock injury. Indeed though, she is in tow, and it's frighteningly easy for her to act like a brat as follows hanging on Dominic's arm like she completely belongs.

Okay she's not acting the part of being a brat really.

That's not acting.

Kyra Hyral (626) has posed:
    Since it is an operation in a low tech, low magic world, Kyra opted to dress the part which is why she's actually a little late. It took her time to prepare and conceal what weapons she was actually able to bring. Her grenade-launcher-like healing device, the CURE-ALL, had to be left behind in her dorm room, for example. All of her piercings had to come out.

    She's left dressed as the plainest, most ordinary peasant girl out there, complete with bulky dress. She looks downright miserable as she scrambles to catch up. Dominic is at least easy to spot and, not knowing any better about his and Chloe's bluffing, starts to approach him.

Serenity (607) has posed:
    Nobody is going to stop the crew from /approaching/ the front door of the manor, but the guards that are there are much more attentive, and are formed up in front of the door. They have spears, and some odd object holstered at their hip. It isn't a gun, though it certainly looks like the visible portion is plastic or something. It's a small rod-shaped device, though. When the group gets close at all, they all start looking alert, stepping forward if it looks like anyone is coming near the door. Looks like they aren't going to just let the group waltz in.

    Nagisa has instead decided to parkour it toward the manor, and thus ends up on a slate roof across from the scaffolding. It isn't currently being worked on, since market day is right now, but it all looks pretty normal... except for the wiring being run up inside the wall, and the CCTV that is whrring back and forth to watch the street below.

Elizabette and Dominic belong. Elizabette and Dominic are walking. Elizabette and Dominic look very annoyed.

Especially Elizabette.

Apparently still surly about being left behind when it comes to shopping. It is probably best to not approach her. Which means the guards looking ready to stop her and her erstwhile 'brother' for the duration of this operation have to contend with a sour ten year old. No sooner than the first guard takes a step to block the path, she looks up, scowling. Those golden eyes flicker, glowing with an eldritch light. So much as looking into them will cause an instant paralysis in any of the men that come near.

Such is the terror of trying to stop a cranky noble.

Or maybe she could just be using thaumaturgy.

Dominic Masoch (655) has posed:
Oh, Kyra made it after all! And she's heading right towards him. Dominic looks around and then spots the girl coming towards him. She looks... WAY different from normal. He is so used to her having all the piercings and dressing like a crazy punk rebel that seeing her dressed down and into a peasant outfit is bizarre.

He doesn't want to abandon her, but her outfit doesn't fit in with him and Chloe being NOBLE. That means he'll have to concoct a reason for her to be there. And that is the moment in which Dominic shouts something no boyfriend in his right mind should EVER shout at his girlfriend under normal circumstances:

"You there, woman! Stop dilly-dallying and catch up," He points to Kyra in his haughtiest tone and then snaps his fingers, "Come come, your services are required inside." He notes while Chloe handles the guards in her own way.

Then he immediately starts whispering into his radio.

Nagisa Shiota (730) has posed:
    Once he is sure the camera isn't watching him, Nagisa does a running leap to catch the scaffolding, climbing up and perching on the building. Here, he makes his way over to find a window, listening at the edge before climbing in, if he doesn't hear any indication of someone inside. Presumably the others will find their own way in and maybe distract the guards inside. Maybe he can also find a room that explains what the heck is going on here.

Ban (728) has posed:
They have some sort of nobility thing going on. Ban doesn't want to miss any action, and this is rather entertaining-did she just paralyze that guard-so he'll be getting involved. Ban moves from his cover and heads towards Dominic, Kyra, and 'Elizabette'. And he speaks. He's not the best actor. But he wants to go in with the rest! "Sorry about the delay, siiiir. Was grabbing a bite to eat.~". Bodyguard: ACQUIRED. There is absolutely no way this can go wrong.

Kyra Hyral (626) has posed:
    As she catches up and looks around, spotting things such as plastic and CCTV cameras, Kyra begins to wonder she might have overestimated the 'low tech-ness' of this particular world. "...I could have gotten away with piercings here..." she mutters in her approach before speaking up, "Hey, what are we-"

    Dominic mutters an apology over the radio channel and unleashes /that/ little gem. Kyra freezes for a moment, one of her eyes twitching just slightly, before continuing onward. Damn it, might as well own it: "Forgive my lateness, Master! I tried my best to catch up." Abruptly she stops and folds over in a bow.

Serenity (607) has posed:
    The various masquereades are... well, suspicious. Not SUPER suspicious, but the guards are already pretty suspicious to begin with! "Sir, you can't come here. We aren't expecting any visitors today." Sorry, can't fool them that way! Of course the guards have to get close enough to say this, and the ones who do sort of just... straight up halt, caught by Chloe's bewitching eyes. This makes the others look confused, but there's only two left. Easy enough to take care of, since they're still not sure there's even a /threat/ here. It's all very fishy! One of them does have the presence of mind to turn around and rap on the door, probably a warning to those inside. The noble and his sister, plus bodyguard and servant girl(ouch!), are kind of... worrisome?

    Nagisa manages to slip into a window. This section of the building is under construction, so not much to see. Plus side: not many guards, either. It's easy enough to slip into the other areas of the manor, with nice carpeted hallways, because in the great hall there's a commotion, with guards tromping out into the great hall and a long-haired man in a robe, carrying a staff, shouting at them to keep any visitors out! Behind him is another man, dressed in odd, modernish clothing, with his arms crossed and looking impatient. He's quite some distance from all the others, standing at the top of the stairs. He also has a sidearm at his hip.

Ban (728) has posed:
Looks like it's time for Plan B. Ban can handle a fight. And he wants a fight. So he simply walks up to one of the two bodyguards...and tosses a punch at his face. It's super strong, and Ban's going to punch the guy until he's down, before moving to the other unless someone already has them handled. Once both guards are down, he's going to wait for the others to split...and kick through the door, whistling. Distraction!

Dominic Masoch (655) has posed:
"Not expecting visitors?! Well I never in my years heard of someone inviting me here and then turning me away at the door. If this is your master's idea of a lark, he will hear from me at length! AT LENGTH!" Dominic says, nodding to his guard as he joins the party. Easy enough just to play a huge distraction so Ban can jump the guard. And then Dominic's own sword is out. Might as well make Ban's life a bit easier.

With a flash of his blade, it coats with light blue mana. And then he lashes out with a Sleepblade at the remaining guard, trying to just knock him out with an easy surge of mana to render him supernaturally unconscious. And then he's darting off to try to find a side window or entrance while Ban occupies the front door. That'll make it easier to get inside, hopefully.

Nagisa Shiota (730) has posed:
    Nagisa waits patiently in a doorway... and when the door is broken down by Ban, Nagisa just walks right up behind the armed man and whips out his stungun. The man may have a flash of danger the instant before the blue-haired boy jabs the stunner right toward his back. He is hoping that he takes him down this strike, but hey, best to do it during a distraction if he can.

    There's really no way to fancy it up. Nagisa is so unassuming he basically just tries to walk up behind the guy and zap him. No special maneuvers.

Kyra Hyral (626) has posed:
    Kyra straightens and watches the remaining two guards talk. A frown forms on her face as it becomes clear that they aren't buying it and won't be letting them in the mansion. "Oh dear." Ban suddenly jumps the one guard, then Dominic the other. Knowing that there's probably a camera trained on them right now, Kyra actually doesn't reach for whatever she might have hidden on her right now.

    Patiently, she waits for the way to be clear before she decides to show her hand.

Serenity (607) has posed:
    Dominic lances the guard with his Sleepblade, causing him to crumple. It was pretty easy, because the guard was turning around to retort, "Sir, I told you that you can't- HRK!" Don't be such a baby, guard. It's just a sleepblade. When he goes down, it's pretty easy to find a window nearby, which can be smashed through or just plain opened if Dominic or Kyra has a way to do so. Maybe Chloe does.

    Ban just smacks down the guard, who is flustered by Dom being a giant noble dick. "H-hey!" THUD. These guys aren't built to take on superhumans or Elites at all, really. Neither is the door, which splinters apart easily when Ban busts through, right into a room full of guards and a strange man with robes and staff. The same one that Nagisa saw! Said man yells, "FOOL! HOW DARE YOU INVADE MY HOUSE!" Then his... staff crackles loudly, makes an electrical hum, and a *SKRABOOOM!!* of a lightning bolt lances toward Ban!

    In all this noise and chaos, nobody notices that the grumpy looking guy in the corner collapses like a sack of potatoes, because there's no way he's going to sense Nagisa before it's too late with all this crap going on.

Ban (728) has posed:
Oh no, lightning! Ban isn't quick enough to avoid it, the blast going straight through his chest, ripping a hole through him, and sending him crumpling through the wall. Rest in pieces, Ban.

Well, that's what everyone /saw/. But there is Ban, standing up and removing the rubble off him, a hole on either side of his jacket the size of the blast, but no wound. "Nice staff. Very, very nice staaaaff.~", Ban hums out, as he reaches his hand out...and attempts to stop physical movement of the staff, as he walks forward. He's going to walk straight up to the king and try and take his staff. Or he'll get stopped by guards, but that's something he's expecting and /wants/ to happen.

    Efficiently, Nagisa disarms the fallen man and unloads the pistol, before dragging him out of sight. Given the furball that is about to happen, Nagisa then walks up to where the man was standing and crosses his arms to watch, making sure that peripheral vision will make it look like the man is still there. Even though Nagisa looks nothing like him.

Dominic Masoch (655) has posed:
After putting a guard to sleep, Dominic's plan is to clear tail out of there. There is one (actually two) other person handling the interior, and he (they) seem to know what he (they) is (are) doing with the whole affair.

Because of this, with sword in hand, Dominic tries to blend into the crowds and start tapping on guards with the very tip of his sword, trying to put as many of them to sleep with that gentle sleep blade as he can. His current goal is to clear an escape route for the other guy (guys).

In the door and Ban eats a lightning bolt. Where most little girls would scream out in horror, be traumatized and suffer PTSD for many long years from such a sight like a hole going clean through a man, Chloe sort of just...

"Well that's disgusting."

Reacts with all the horror of someone who's seen a bug get squished. But then he gets back up. Good as new. Still, there are guards about and the girl rolls her eyes. She lets Dominic handle them and...

Laughs into the back of her hand.

After living with Luvia long enough... She has this 'noble bitch' act down pretty well.

"Ohohohohohohoho~."

    Once Dominic is on the move and the door is broken down, Kyra slips in behind him, but not after hiking up that damn ugly peasant dress just enough so she can pull one of her guns out from underneath it. Apparently her needlegun was carefully strapped to her calf. Following after Dominic, she starts providing backup in the form of darts filled with some kind of paralytic agent.

    Then Ban dies. Kyra double takes because she clearly just saw a gaping hole blown through this person's chest with that lightning spell. Yet now there is NO HOLE. "...what the hell?" she says, breaking character, "Did you just die!?"

    Breaking character isn't all that important, because the room is utter CHAOS! The guards are shouting and waving weapons about, but Dominic is the only one who has to deal with an attack... which is easily parried. Kyra and Dominic are pretty well above these guys, though they aren't /bad/ really. Just ill-prepared for this sort of mess! Four of them are down already, and the other two are backing off from the laughing girl.

    The man with the staff is struggling with it, which means he is now... backing away in fear from the man who just stood up. Ban has him pretty well dead to rights, because that staff is humming and hissing, with smoke coming from it. Long recharge time. He glances back and yells, "Stop them! You said you would support... me?"

    Hmm, dude is a lot shorter now, isn't he?

Ban (728) has posed:
As Ban approaches the wizard dude, he cracks his head towards Kyra, a fangy grin, as he quips in a sing-song, "I got better.~" And then he turns his focus back on the wizard.

Ban's going to try and grab the staff with one hand, and punch the dude in the face with the other. He thought there'd be more fighting involved! For now, this guy's incompetence is just making him sick.

He'll deal with the guy in the corner next. Wait...huh?

Kyra Hyral (626) has posed:
    "What /are/ you, immortal?" Kyra questions, lifting her dress up to her knees again so she can grab some more ammo really quickly. As she reloads, she glances over at Ban again quizzicaly. "I need to know, man, because that way I know if I need to bother healing you at all!" Kyra assumes no. "If you want to be some kind of invincible monster tank here, then I'm pretty okay with that!"

    She looks to the so-called 'wizard', still charging. She would have hit him with a dart too if Ban hadn't immediately jumped on him.

    Well it looks like everything is under control here, so Nagisa squats down to tie up the man who was here before. She's not going to worry too much about the others, with this group. Dom and Kyra seem to have the guards well in hand, and Ban is... well. that works. "I think we're about done here," he admits sheepishly.

Dominic Masoch (655) has posed:
Dominic, who is not taking time to comment on the guy who just died and got back up because Kyra is handling that for him, contains his mix of horror and amazement for now. Immortal people can be gawked at later, right now it's time to go to work.

He flicks his blade and the blue mana falls off of it. The effect switches over, mana running across it like an electrical field. He darts in towards the Wizard as people are going be preparing to subdue the wizard.

It's a shallow cut from his blade, but it sends a pulse of mana into his neurosystem, trying to act like a tazer.

"My jobs seem to grow stranger with every new adventure," He murmurs to himself. Hopefully all this excitement will cause Kyra to forget about his earlier statement and he won't have revenge taken out upon him.

Serenity (607) has posed:
    To sum up what happens: The guards are taken down, and as Ban charges, the 'wizard' is looking quite fearful. "No wait! I can pay-" WHUMP! The punch smashes him into the stairs, where he stumbles down with a dazed look. Ban really punches well, and without his staff, he's... actually incredible for surviving it.

    Then he jerks spastically as the blade hits him, tasing him with a *FHSFSDFS* noise from him. Thudding to the ground, it is time for Kyra to step in, because this guy is going to need some medical attention after all that.

    It looks like the staff was some kind of electrical weapon. Tech-based. The man probably has more details, but he's still just waking up when Nagisa finishes tying him up.

    Mission accomplished?
