- Eleanor Lamb (40) has posed:
The house is dark and warm tonight as the approaching autumn promises the start of school next week. The girls are all tired out after a long afternoon and evening of tear-assing around with the other children in the neighborhood, and Estate Lamb is calm and serene.
Just the night for a consultation. The tea kettle is hot, there's biscuits and muffins, and Miss Lamb is bustling around in the kitchen. "Just find a comfortable spot anywhere, Kyra. I can adjust as I need to."
- Kyra Hyral (626) has posed:
The little sisters aren't the only ones currently in need of scheduling around school classes. Kyra too has to spend time with teachers or doing new homework that has been recently assigned. It's only until both are taken care of does she show up aat Eleanor's estate.
While Eleanor prepares tea, she herself has already poked around curiously at Elle's place, a biscut clutched firmly in her hand. "Hmmm...nah, I don't need adjusting. Not unless we're going to fight or compete later."
- Eleanor Lamb (40) has posed:
The Big Sister giggles a little bit at that, but composes herself and settles into her comforatble easy chair with a cup of tea, a pen, and her heavy notebook. "Well, then find a nice spot and please get comfortable. This isn't going to be a long session, since I'd really like to gague where we might be going in the future with these."
- Kyra Hyral (626) has posed:
A nod follows from the white mage and she settles down on the couch, leaning her back against the back. She seems like she'd put up her feet too if she got the chance. "Alrighty. So you'd be going on more about my problems and stuff later then." It's tempting for Kyra to start asking about how manay patients Eleanor has and the like but she refrains. There were confidentiality issues with that stuff.
- Eleanor Lamb (40) has posed:
An ottoman mysteriously slides across the room to bump against Kyra's feet. The invitation is there, as Eleanor smiles. "Well, that's about right, yes. I... well. I took a look at what I could in your file with the Union, but I'd like to hear a bit more about yourself, from yourself."
She brushes at her sweats, and murmurs. "Why do you think you're here today?"
- Kyra Hyral (626) has posed:
"They make files for allies in the Union too?" Kyra sounds genuinely surprised. "Huh. Okay, well I guess that makes sense." She seems only slightly uncomfortable with the notion of being documented by the world-spanning superfaction. "Well...it's clearly because there's some kind of stress I'm experiencing that's making all these monsters pop out of my head. After looking at the incidents it seems to be clearly activated by experiencing some kind of deeply personal distress. Maybe the kind that could even be dangerous to others...? The only other person I've seen this happen to recently is Nathan and, not going to lie, he's got some issues."
- Eleanor Lamb (40) has posed:
Eleanor murmurs at that last bit. "Well. You were here to patch me up after those issues peaked, so." She smiles briefly, and then settles in again on her spot on the chair, scribbling. "But I don't want you to think so deeply about it this time. In one sentence, what do you want out of this?"
- Kyra Hyral (626) has posed:
Kyra looks contempative though at the same time struggling with the thought of overthinking the whole problem. "Uhh...I think I want to at least learn how to make the incidents stop! That would be nice! Sorry, this is all really new to me, I've never really had psychological counselling."
- Eleanor Lamb (40) has posed:
There's a very warm smile at that. "Well, that's quite alright. This can be tough the first time through for people because they come in with all these notions of what it's going to be like, but really...'
Eleanor chews on her pen cap. "Think of me as someone who is very willing to talk. A friend who will listen to things... you can't tell your friends, if that makes sense." A look. "There's a lot of social issues in your school and the political situation therein and I'm sure, well."
She mmmhs. "Information has power. So think of me as a person who cna help defuse that, even a little bit."
- Kyra Hyral (626) has posed:
Kyra looks off into the distance with a sort of 'thousand yard stare' at the mention of social and political issues, especially the ones in the school. "Oh, yeah, that...that stuff is a problem. I try not to really care about it, 'specially because I've been kicked out of my family and my old religion, right? It shouldn't apply to me anymore but now it's even worse, especially since I'm friends with my country's /Prince/. Then there's the crap with Murasame that's it's own damn mess. But that school drama shit shouldn't really apply to what I'm doing /here/ should it?"
- Eleanor Lamb (40) has posed:
Eleanor chews on the cap a bit more. "Should it? I can safely say that my own past is... well, it's something that has caught up with me on more than one occasion, even as far removed from it as I am. So I can safely say if you think it will creep up on you, it might."
- Kyra Hyral (626) has posed:
"Well that's annoying." Kyra mutters. "Nobody's going to want to deal with my baggage. No one except for my friends, which makes sense, you know? Since they're kind of getting hit with the fallout off, say, my drama with Souji. Part of me feels bad that it happens but..another part of me knows that they're just going to put themselves between me and my problems anyway..." she grins a little at that. "...they're cool like that. Maybe I should just stop feeling bad about their choices."
- Eleanor Lamb (40) has posed:
Eleanor lays her pen down, and those blue eye regard Kyra softly.
"That is one of the hardest things to come to terms with, Miss Hyral. It is one that all of us who protect and guard others face. That the actions of others are not our responsibility. Not in an environment such as this. That is not to say they won't affect us, but free will amongst the Elite is very free."
- Kyra Hyral (626) has posed:
"It is hard." Kyra agrees. "Especially when they get hurt by it. Could I have stopped them? Like the thing in the club that one time. Could they have not gotten hurt if I told them not to come to my gig? I wanna blame myself for it but at the same time I don't want to take responsibility for that outcome because it's full of things that weren't /my/ fault."
- Eleanor Lamb (40) has posed:
The big sister takes a sip of her tea.
Subject change. "What would you like out of me? I know people come in with preconceptions of the process, so I just want to make sure you're getting what you're looking for."
- Kyra Hyral (626) has posed:
"Teach me how to not freak out at things. It's the freaking out that causes problems, I'm pretty sure, whether it's the head monsters or the magic that goes nutso." Kyra's quick to say without all that much thought.
- Eleanor Lamb (40) has posed:
That gets a broad grin. "We can work on that together then. Because all of us have a breaking point. It is good to find it and understand that, and the more we can help each toher, the better we can be." Eleanor snickers and closes the notebook. "I think we're good for now."
- Kyra Hyral (626) has posed:
Kyra looks surprised, "What, that's it? You're not going to ask me to lie down and tell you about my mother?" she pauses, "...she's kind of a bitch, by the way." Her gaze darkens just a little bit about that. "Wow, okay, maybe if I did we'd be here for hours. The things I could say. The /things/." She leans forward at Eleanor. "Are the Little Sisters around?"
- Eleanor Lamb (40) has posed:
Eleanor snorts and murmurs. "I think I could have you matched on Mother Is A Bitch, but..." She plants a hand on her hip as she stands up. "It is well past their bedtimes, but yes they are."
- Kyra Hyral (626) has posed:
Kyra also stands, "Next time we'll have to trade mom stories." She seems a little excited about that, actually. Maybe a little TOO excited. "Oh, if they're sleeping then I'll say hi later. No big deal."
