Synopsis: Noh and Jeannette Thompson go to speak to Rhapsody after the trap in the jungle.
Cast of Characters: 178, 325, 410

Rhapsody (325) has posed:
After sealing the doors to the Aerie atop Thirix, Rhapsody had barely moved from one spot. A particular spot in the massive hoard near the back. There's no real sign of WHY it's her spot, however. Someone would have to ask. What is she doing? The same thing she has been doing for a while. Staring up at a pair of stars. Occasionally sleep has snuck in there, too. Her coat is no where to be seen, so at least she didn't just flop and not move for 12 hours. That would be strange. The doors are STILL locked. . . . highly doubtful that will stop a certain Nohbody...

Noh (178) has posed:
Doubtful indeed; Noh still has her mysterious way of getting into places. Oh, look, here the Dhampir comes now-- dropping from a portal above with the faint sound of a ringing bell accompanied by the lilt of children's laughter. The portal vanishes as the half-blood lands silently in a crouch, then stands, letting eyes scan across the pan of the horde. All those shiny objects- yet never a one taken by the admited kleptomaniac. Her dementia knows its boundaries, if not common sense. She takes a breath, and then summons her giant spoon, walking forward through the treasures and inventions, leaning on it like a walking stick, and clucking her tongue.
"Not my place to be saying it," She murmurs, as she makes for the Guild Master, "But you really should clean this up. He has no need for this horde, and it is time that you start your own."

Rhapsody (325) has posed:
"This was never his hoard, Noh, it was a place to rest. The Guild was his hoard," Rhapsody's quick to point out. It was the same for the young Guildmaster as well. The whole of the Izzet League, every person, weapon, vehicle, weird, and invention, was part of this mental hoard that Niv had, and now Rhapsody owned the whole blasted thing. Big shoes to fill. "And I use it for that purpose.. sometimes.." the way she says it... she probablY DOES assume her true form, sometimes, when no one is around..

Noh (178) has posed:
A soft chuckle. "Dragons, hm? And yet they still make more sense than the Kindred do," Noh speaks- but not to Rhapsody. No, her head is canted slightly to gaze up at the stars that Rhapdosy herself has been watching. Specifically, the blue star- But then Noh nods, and adds, "And don't you tell me you made sense, my friend, some of the best things inventors do makes absolutely no sense at all to anyone but the man- or master, holding the tools." She grins, letting her rarely seen fangs show a moment. Before she sighs, and slides into a hunker at Rhapsody's side, running her fingers over a few gold coins.

"You are angry with yourself, my friend, because you let your anger rule you for a moment." Noh looks over at the white scaled red, and then bobs her head a little. "But there's more, isn't there.. You are afraid."

Rhapsody (325) has posed:
There's no anger about that, and there's no hiding it either. Instead, Rhapsody just sighs. "I'm not even ten years old and I'm running a tenth of Ravnica. Yes. I'm scared," she says, somewhat harshly at first, but her tone softens. "Even with all three of us it's obvious what the entire city thinks. Just go down to the entrance and listen to them try to ask questions.."

Jeannette Thompson (410) has posed:
If there's one thing Jeannette wishes she could be at this time, it was dramatic. At the very least, it meant not having to knock on that door, and go right in. But the roof was too for her to do any climbing... and she didn't even really know why she was considering that. Some wild fancy that would allow her to do something else than knock on that door after a long, long walk down the hallway.

Getting through to the elevator hadn't been a problem for her; She was getting entirely too fond of her phalanx of Royal Marines clearing the way like mere words never had. They were at the base of the tower now, though. Alone, because she couldn't do this with anyone else. She just knocked on the door when she approched it, three quick rapts. Without hesitation, because sometimes that was bad.

Noh (178) has posed:
Noh shakes her head, as she holds up a handful of coins, and examines them. Then she says, softly, "They talk because there is change, my friend. Change unsettles us all. Shakes us from the roots we set down to steady us." She pauses, at the knock, looking over and then smiles a little, looks back to Rhapsody: "Change.. Change is good." She chuckles just a little- then shoots a snort upward. "I am getting to that!" she argues with the stars overhead, then looks to Rhapsody again.

"He is proud of you, you know. They all are."

Rhapsody (325) has posed:
"I know..." While Rhapsody heard the knocking, she had heard a LOT of knocking today. Still, this wasn't the rampant pounding of an angry mageright of the worried, slow knock of her sister. That was.. stern. Thianel? Ugh. Please no. For the first time in hours the Guildmaster sits up and just yells, "Open!" The sound of a -massive- lock can be heard coming undone before the massive double doors swing open. Jean should count herself luck that the knock was even heard. Granted, when the doors open and It's Jean, well. .oO(I take it back. I'll take Thianel instead..)

Jeannette Thompson (410) has posed:
As the lock removes itself and the door opens, Jeannette summoned up the mask of the Commodore that was becoming just a bit easier to slip into these days. She turns her head slowly to look at Rhapsody, then Noh. one arm containing her uniform cap neatly tucked under it, her free hand moving from her sword and slightly adjusting her jaw. "I apologize. I didn't realize you had a visitor with you at the moment, Guildmaster. I can take my leave." She says. It's a question, of course, becasue, for the moment, she doesn't budge from the doorway.

Noh (178) has posed:
Jeanette is given a fangy grin from the little halfblood; who briefly stands up and salutes! Crisp and clear and.. still grinning! ... Before she slips easily back down into a hunker at Rhapsody's side. "You are not doing this alone, Rhapsody. You have your siblings, your guild, the Union... But you have something more, too. In here," The little Dhampir first touches her own chest, then reaches over with a single, clawish finger, and touches Rhapsody's. "You have you. And you have him. And her. They are here. Just as they are above us watching now." She looks over to Jeanette, considers her, then says: "No, please, stay. You two, must talk, too. She owes you an apology. And you owe her one."

Rhapsody (325) has posed:
Stars above she'd rather have Thianel right now. "N-no. Stay," Rhapsody manages before pausing, listening, nodding to the Dhampir. After a moment she finally rises and wanders over to Jeannette, then turns slightly to the side. There's no fist or anything like that, this time. Instead, "I'm sorry, just.. do it." Seems like Rhapsody is offering Jean a return strike. . . . That's probably a dragon's apology in one way or another.

Jeannette Thompson (410) has posed:
Jeannette looks to the saluate, before cocking her head. "We're indoors and uncovered. Saluating is unnessecary." She says. She doesn't interrupt the touching little statement that Noh gives to Rhapsody, pointing to something inside. In a manner she could not do. The mask was... difficult, in that regard. "She does? And I do?" She mentiones, before turning to Rhapsody as she moves to turn to the side. "Do /what/, exactly? Punch you? For what?"

"I called you a name. A vile name that I know you hated, without any malice whatsoever, because it was the only thing I could do to keep you from running off to follow a man who wishes to break you, with your vision covered in a thick haze of red. That could not have gone unanswered. Which is why you clocked me in the jaw with a bloody right hook that makes me wonder why you aren't a boxer." She says, yawning a bit and working over her sore, visably bruised jaw. "I did something that required punishment, and you provided it. I suggest we are even."

Noh (178) has posed:
Musing to herself over that, Noh grins a little. She clucks a noise, and says, "There, you see, Rhapsody, there is nothing to be afraid of, yes?" She gives Jeanette a smirk not unlike that of a cat who has been proven right. She.. is an odd one. Amused, she suggests: "Our friend has a good suggestion, Rhapsody! Perhaps you should take up a martial art, for to defend yourself." She stands up and then says amusedly, "You have your father's temper, Rhapsody, but you do not yet have the age behind it that he did, to use it wisely. Jeanette is right, you let it cover your eyes. She did what she had to, keeping you from doing something unwise." Noh then turns to Jeanette, and examines her thoughtfully, rubbing at her chin a little with her fingers. "Hm. Hm hm. You are right, you are right." She murmurs, then says: "You have given your aid to the Mizzet before, Miss Thompson, yes? Perhaps you could give it again- Rhapsody? Maybe you can learn to, what is it called? Fisticuffs? From the Triancians."

Rhapsody (325) has posed:
At first, Rhapsody seems genuinely surprised. Once its explained, she just nods once, holding one arm with the hand of the other. "I.. mm..." There's not much for her to respond to on that one. As for being trained, though, "No... I did ask the Union for assistance with training. I just had to organize things here. Now that they -are- organized I was going to start sending messages out to people to take them up on their offers. I have some moderate training with my spellblades but that's all I have.." Pause, then to Jean, "boxing? Dragon. Wouldn't be fair.."

Jeannette Thompson (410) has posed:
"Oh, there is something to fear. But not from weather or not I harbor grudges for physical pain. More for what I /can/ do if you want to learn how to use those blades properly." She says, before pausing for a long moment. "And you certainly have his temper, yes. With you, though... it's easier to relate to. I know a lot about letting anger take you, control you, how..." She closes her eyes, and breathes in, then lets out a long sigh. "Intoxicating... it can be. There are times I have to dress in street clothes, head to a bar, and just pick a fight. But you have to learn to /control/ it. Use it, bottle it like fine wine."

She gives a slight aristocratic 'hah' as Noh mentions fisticuffs, and Rhaps mentions boxing. "Punching someone is carathertic, but rather without class, and mostly ineffective." She notes, before her hand flashes down and, in a motion that's hard to follow, has the sword out, in front of her, whiping it around once to show it. "My specialty, you see, is this." She notes, before her other hand throws her cap to the side. If it is followed, someone might not see when she draws the flechette pistol from underneath her cloak. "Mixed with this, sometimes."

Noh (178) has posed:
There's a quirking grin: "All is fair in love and war, my friend. This is war, for he has attacked that which you love. Boxing would be perfectly legal!" She grins between the two, taking special note of Jeannette's sword, backing up a step, before she admits, "I am thinking between the three of us, it is I who is... understaffed, shall we say?" She says, giving her spoon a little heft before she winks at them. "Perhaps that is why it is such a good thing I am an evil and nefarious demon of untold danger, MU WAH HAH HAH HAH HAH!" Yes, she does the laugh. She totally sucks at sounding evil. She sounds instead like a child who has just announced that they laugh in the face of danger. (In addition to walking on the wild side, of course.)

Rhapsody (325) has posed:
Of course, Rhapsody can't track the blade, and falls for the hat trick, "Er.. well you did send an offer, Commodore..." seems Rhapsody 'recognized' the mask. So, title it is. "I don't expect any of it to be easy, not one bit," she continues, idly unsheathing one of her spellblades to offer over to Jean. They're surprisingly light for their size. Probably Mizzium. Then she peers at Noh and FINALLY cracks a small smile.

Jeannette Thompson (410) has posed:
"Now, I did not say it wasn't legal. I simply said it was without class. We, as /gentlewoman/, must fight in the right ways. At least, when people are watching." She notes, before her sword is flipped up, flying end over end, before it lands neatly, flat of the blade in Jeannette's gloved hands, which she offers, hilt first, to Rhapsody. When she takes her blad, Jeannette takes a spellsword.. and looks at the spoon. "I've seen some NSS brag about how you can kill a man with one of those. Something about going for the eyes, which, an evil and nefarious demon would know about. /Quite frightening/." She says.

She flips the spellblade in her hand, frowning slightly as she feels the light weight of it. Her own sword has a bit of heft to it, but it sings as it moves through the air, the edge so sharp you can almost imagine it litterally cutting through the air. "A bit odd, not... feeling anything when I hold this. A connection, I mean. A little odd." She notes. "But it wouldn't be easy. I think that'll be the first lesson, if you can mantain control of that temper. And I can get a place in the Circle with good holodeck safties."

Noh (178) has posed:
Noh nods proudly at Jeannette, "I know many ways to kill a man without the spoon, too. But it would be rude to boast!" And, knowing Noh, she'd never use any of these 'many ways' anyway. She mmms between the two, and then says, "Rhapsody, you and Jeannette, you should engage each other in your ideas. She teach you with Swords, you teach her in something else to make it even, yes?" She grins just a wee bit, then adds, softly, "And there is nothing to be ashamed of, to have friends come to your aid. I think I am going to having a little talk with the Dragon Slayer.. mmm. yes." She nods thoughtfully, leaning on her large spoon for a moment in thought.

Rhapsody (325) has posed:
Safties? Oh. Yay. That means so many things.. "R-right.." Rhapsody wasn't lying about the moderate training, but it was from the Boros. So. A few swings, maybe a twirl, but its all very efficent looking. The Boros ARE the police and army of Ravnica, after all. They didn't know what style was! As for training Jeannette in return, "Well.. I don't know what I could offer. Spellcasting is.. er... not my strong suit.." She is NOT proud of that either.

Jeannette Thompson (410) has posed:
"In that, you defeat me, Miss..." She says. "Miss Noh." She probably wanted to refer to what Noh was, but, with a slight flush of embarassment, it looks like she wasn't quite sure. "I know how to kill someone with those, and things much larger, but my own hands are.. lacking. I'm sure we could work out a different trade, though." She says, watching her swing the sword, twirl it, with a modicum of satisfaction. At least there was a base there. Granted, it was a base that needed /rebuilding/, but she could use the bricks. He handholds the spellblade out. "You saw my pistol. It has a number of capabilities. Anti-armor flichettes, standard anti-pesonnel, micro expolsives.. but I'm sure the Izzet could take a look at it and come up with something a bit... heavier, wouldn't you say?"

Noh (178) has posed:
"Dhampir, actually," Noh admits, simply, somehow guessing. She grins a little, offering Jeannette a hand, "In my world, a rare, unheard of abomination because humans fear vampires, and vampires believe humans to be nothing more than cattle." She tuts, "Alas, both races could learn so much from one another." SHe mms. Then watches Jeannette, and Rhapsody both. She grins.
"You do not have to _spellcast_, my friend, look around you." She gestures about, "The Mizzet are best with their hands, and inventing things. You can come up with something, I am sure, which will aide our friend, yes?" She grins fangily. "Just, do not let it involve, ah.. eggs. Or chickens. ... Or clockworks. ... Or that young man who has the exploding bee bombs."

Rhapsody (325) has posed:
She gives a nod, "Ryxinel always wanted these to weigh heavier," Rhapsody points out as she hands Jean her blade back, "I liked them light, but if you have a reason, well, I'm sure I'll be learning a lot. As for a gun.. though.." if Jean is kind enough to hand the spellblade back, Rhapsody would swing it upward and then with a thought, a bolt of lightning lances off of it, "I think it's covered."

The Dhampir's advice is heard, and Rhapsody smiles again. She just wasn't thinking clearly tonight and its been showing, "Yes, of course.. I'm sure something could be done.." she muses, pausing at something. "Exploding -bee- bombs? That's.. mm... Yunomi's had more of an effect then I thought.."

Jeannette Thompson (410) has posed:
"Dhampir! Right, yes. I apologize. I thought it might come back to me if I gave it a bit of thought, but I don't exactly have storage memory installed just yet. I'm sure if you're representive of their number, they aren't something to fear. Or fear greatly, ifI miss my mark. Not that I have any thoughts on vampires beyond them being slavers and deserving what they get." She notes.

And she agrees! "Inventions and muntions. Not for Triancia, you understand. That sort of tech transfer is a bit above my paygrade. Just something for my personal kit to show someone a good time in a fight-" She says, before fairly jumping a bit at the zap of lightening running up. "Compact, then. My word, but that what a suprise. And don't tell me that raccoon tailed protege of yours developed it."

Noh (178) has posed:
Noh grins, "Yunomi, is good inventor. Many of Mizzet are. Is why I ally to them before Union, yes?" Noh says, to Jeannette and Rhapsody alike. She grins- "I do not invent things. But I see things.. differently, you could say." She mmms to Jeannette then, and says, softly, "I am not a prime example. I am.. how do you say? Reject." She quirks a grin, "I am not even able to be blood thirsty as the full bloods are. But Vampires are not all slavers." She mms, and then seems to drift a moment into thought.

"... Yes, I will definetly be having a talk with the dragon killer," She says, thoughtfully, before she mms. She shifts in place, and pulls her large sleighbell out, saying softly, "Rhapsody.. Please do not forget, when all is said and done.. you are not fighting alone. You are not leading alone. You have your siblings. You have your guild." Noh pauses, then smiles, "You have your ancestors too.. And you have yourself." She grins, shaking the bell. It jingles- but only to those present who believe; accompanied by the faint sound of children's laughter: a portal opens overhead. "I must go... I must make plans. But please, you two.. continue.. negotiate.. Combine efforts." She grins- then breifly dips down, before jumping- and vanishing into the black void, which closes behind.

Rhapsody (325) has posed:
OH! Hmm. The dragon thinks a moment as she sheathes the blade, "I'm sure I can come up with something. If you write down an idea or two, I promise Ryxinel will come up with something. . . and then Izzet it too." Izzet is a verb now? Should it instill fear? Terror? thoughts of explosions? Awesomeness? Yes. To which question? YES. "No, the spellblades were, well, the last thing he made before he left. I was going to get a third one but, well, there wasn't enough time."

As the Dhampir leaves, Rhapsody takes a breath, thinking about what she said, idly wondering if this is at all how Yunomi feels when everyone comes rushing at her to try and help. "Thank you, Noh. And be careful with that guy. He's ..." soooo many horrible things rush through her mind in the span of a second, "A jerk." it could have been so much worse.

Jeannette Thompson (410) has posed:
"We all see things differently. With a different perspective... some more than others, I would think. You're one of the 'some'." she says to Noh, before she moves to get the slieghbell. She thinks nothing of hearing children's laughter. Santa /was/ real, and /did/ give her her own home back, after all. Abd she moves to teleport out. "We are here to help, yes. All of use. And I will-" She tries, before Noh disappears. "Make... plans. Lord, but that sounded strange near the end. In any case. Yes... those will do nicely for a start. Two should be... ample for a combat skill. I will give you a few ideas, of course. For my payment and for yourself."

She pauses. "To be serious, though. I plan to use the holodeck. I do so because I do not plan on going easy. I have only seen a bit of your style, so perhaps you will suprise me. If I may predict, however, the first few days will be... frusturating. Are you willing to accept me as your swordsmanship instructor, knowing this?"

Rhapsody (325) has posed:
There's no hesitation. Rhapsody nods, "Yes, I do. And I don't expect it to be easy. I never did, to be honest." She pauses, "Just realize, I have a few people that want to help too, so, there may be more than you trying to help me out in one way or another."
