Visiting Hours
Date of Scene: 03 April 2016
Location: Neo Arcadia-00001
Synopsis: Ferham visits Taro while he's recovering from his scuffle with Nasrin.
Cast of Characters: 399, 516

Taro (399) has posed:
It may or may not be reassuring that Taro is usually taken to the same private room (Saint Diego's Ward, middle floor, end of the hall) every time he's admitted. It does make it easier to locate him, at least.
Zarenna has already been here to receive on the job training in advanced reploid repairs, which means he has two working hands again. Neither of which he's using just now aside from achonring the blanket covering him. As recommended, he's resting quietly in his podbed between installation of his new components and the nanites to finish up the integrations.

Ferham (516) has posed:
Ferham walks right into the hospital, in full armor--not apparently minding that there are a lot of civvies around and likely security posted here and there. They were a smart thing to have in hospitals, after all. Her high heeled boots click-clack against the floor as she moves, a serious expression fixed on her beautiful face as she moves. Soon she's at the ward where Taro is currently likely still being held--err, sorry 'resting'.

"I can't say I was too surprised when I'd heard you'd had your arm cut off again, you'd think by now you'd take spares out with you," Fer grinned a little, stopping at the door and raising one of her bird-talon gloved hands up to him in a wave, smiling.

Taro (399) has posed:
The full armor does get some uneasy glances from the orderlies, but since Ferham is on the list of cleared visitors, no one attempts to stop her.
The grin goes unreturned as usual, though Taro does give Ferham a deep nod in greeting when she appears in the doorway. "That would be more trouble than it's worth. Field repairs never hold up as well as a proper one." Deadpan, surely she can tell he isn't being entirely serious with those remarks. "You may come in."

Ferham (516) has posed:
"Well, I meant more a drone that could possibly be slipped on over your 'stump'--pardon the choice of words--in case of future possible... err, un-handings," Ferham smiled. The joke apparently never seem to get old, as it were. Once she's bidden to enter Ferham does, moving to sit close to where Taro's repair pod was, crossing her legs as she sits back against a nearby bit of machinery. "So, you weren't in danger this time, were you? Well, nothing /too/ serious, I'd hope," she asked, leaning back against the bed sideways as she tilts her wings up and back to rest over it.

Taro (399) has posed:
"I have suffered far worse," Taro says. Whether that sounds as reassuring as he means it to be...well, that depends on Ferham. He makes a small and somewhat stiff negating gesutre with his freshly repaired hands. "And no, I do not think I was in any serious danger. Which is not to say that any Assassin should be taken lightly, only that I was not her intended target or objective." A pause. "I hope I haven't worried you too much with this."

Ferham (516) has posed:
"So just business as usual in the church of Shodan, eh?" Ferham nodded a little, resting her gloved hands on her crossed legs. "Assassin, eh? hmm, so you were targeted by a real one? as in a professional elite?" she tilted her head, seeming curious at that. "I'm always worried when I hear you've been injured or damaged, Taro-honey," she shakes her head a little, as if forgetting herself. "I'm sorry, parishioner Daisho," she sighed a bit, apparently forgetting her company.

Taro (399) has posed:
If any of his fellow priests had been within hearing distance, there may have been a sputtering fit. But Taro only makes a quietly amused sound, "My proper form of address is Your Eminence. But since you are not of the Church..." He gives a small, graceful shrug to show he does not particulary worry about her showing formalities. "Yes. It's not my first encounter with that partcular band, though it's been some time since we've crossed paths..." His gaze grows distant for a moment. "Not since the funeral of Haytham Kenway, if I recall."
Then, her refocuses on the here and now. "Rest assured that I will make a full recovery. Although this was the first time Zarenna has made repairs to me, I believe she handled them quite well, and I would like to think she learned something from the experience."

Ferham (516) has posed:
"I see, looks like I have some organics hands to break," Ferham cracks her own knuckles as she thinks over these... 'assassins', it would take some time to dig up information on such a group, likely. "Hmm, one of the shinki operators? I wonder if they're able to handle the reploid body perfectly," Fer peered over at Taro, and his newly repaired limbs. "If you notice any phantom sensations or strange pain, let me know, I'll make sure you get proper repairs," she nodded.

Taro (399) has posed:
"She is a roboticist," Taro assures, "A promising one at that, with an attitude favorable to our kind. Else I wouldn't have collaberated with her on creating Harriet, nor would I have given her the chance to handle my own repairs." He idly flexes the fingers of his right hand. "For a first attempt at schematics she hadn't studied, I believe she performed admirably."

Ferham (516) has posed:
"Well, that's good--I don't know what I'd do if your parts malfunctioned or something were to happen to you, Taro," Ferham got up from her seat against the bed, making sure not to knock things over with them in the process--and stepped closer to his pod. "You understand? I'll be around if you need me, and do let me know if you find out anything about this group you had a brush with," Ferham reached over and tapped a black-gloved hand against the man's repair pod, as if reassuringly.

Taro (399) has posed:
"I will be fine," Taro assures again as he looks up at her. "I know you worry, especially since I am not as well suited to combat as you. But all life is risk, and I am willing to make calculated ones to reach for my goals." He extends his hand - it's ungloved for once - as if to show her that he is in fact on the mend.
"As for the Assassins," he continues, "they had been a thorn in the Confederacy's side previously. However, it seems that their interests and ours have not coincided much in the past year, or at least they haven't made any concerted efforts to attack our interests directly."

Ferham (516) has posed:
"You shouldn't have to put yourself at risk, that's for models like me," Ferham shrugged. "Either way, I'm glad you're safe," she reachs over to take his hand and grasps it a little gently, before shaking it. "I do pray for your safety in my own way, and hope you are well, when they let you out of here, I'll swing by your lab and we can relax a little, alright?" she smiled down at him again and released his hand, before stepping back. "I have some informants I need to find, I'll see you later, okay Taro?" she asks, stopping at the door while looking over her shoulder, back at him.

Taro (399) has posed:
Taro gives a quiet sigh, but he does not argue the matter further. For now at least. "Provided I behave myself, which I intend to, I should be released in the morning." He in turn grasps her hand - see, it does in fact work! - and then lets it go. "All right. Be careful yourself, and may you find what you seek."
