Space Station Game
Date of Scene: 10 July 2016
Location: Yu-Gi-Oh Earth
Synopsis: Kaiba organizes a game called Space Station, loosely inspired by Werewolf and Space Station 13. Several Elites join the game, trying to discover who the traitor is.
Cast of Characters: Kotone Yamakawa, 20, 151, 623, 941, 989, 995, 1014

Seto Kaiba (623) has posed:
It has been a fair amount of time since Kaiba has ran a game for the Elites of the Multiverse. This one has had a simple open invite to much of the Multiverse's Elites, offering them a chance to take part in a game of wit and betrayal. All they need to do? Show up to Kaiba Land, and enter Kaiba's Holographic Game Field.

The field is already set up, and ready for the game to start. It is a high tech space station, with a fair amount of areas. Everyone starts near the shuttle dock. But, there are oh so many places within. Private rooms, research and medical areas, a mess hall and kitchen, a chapel, an area for officers, and various crew areas. There is even a spot for the ship's on board computer. Everything looks up and ready for the start of a game. At this point, everyone must simply gather around for it.

Notably, Kaiba himself is not in fact around. But, certainly. He is waiting and watching. Somewhere.

Mel Brock (941) has posed:
Well, party's over, the cops are here.

    Wait, no, that's not right.

Marshal Mel Brock is here because, for once, she's got some time completely to herself, and no 'off-hours busywork' to fill it with, and nowhere to be that requires her to make a days-long trip in the Firestarter. So she's here off-duty. Rather than her usual Marshal jumpsuit, she's here in casual clothes; a black top that's not so much 'a tanktop' as 'a T-shirt with the sleeves removed', a pair of comfortable jeans, and a simple handbag to keep most of her important stuff. She's still wearing her limiter on her right jawline, as she always does, and over her shoulder she's carrying the strap for a large, sheathed sword.

If stopped about the weapon she's carrying, she'll indicate that this isn't an armament, but an attendee. Hrafn can vouch for herself if need be.

So here's Mel, wandering in at the shuttle dock, adjusting the strap for Hrafn's sheath slightly as she does. "Well hell, this almost feels like home. This could get pretty interesting, haven't played a game like this in a while."

Ela'Ashbel (995) has posed:
When it comes down to manipulation and wit, there are really none more suited to the task than the eldar farseers, such as Ela'Ashbel. So, she shows up, ready to ply her skills at a little game and perhaps make some friends, because everyone needs friends. Her competative nature ensures that she will try her best to win despite what ever might come.
Dressed in her full regalia of wraithbone, she looks rather regal and potentially intimidating - but that is part of it!

Ainsley (151) has posed:
Ainsley has showed up to this game in her usual casual attire. She's not attended Kaiba's games, having been busy with entirely different matters, but felt like it would be worth experiencing something new.

She has her hands clasped before her and she's humming a gentle song to herself. Her eyes are half-lidded while she patiently waits for instructions in how this game is played. She looks to the others as they arrive or speak, but doesn't have anything to say herself just yet. Mel's remark about it seeming like home makes the feathers on her head puff up and her smile warm for a moment, apparently enjoying the idea of someone being comfortable here.

Toph Beifong (20) has posed:
It's games and not always fun when dealing with Kaiba's games, but eh... why not? With little else to do Toph Beifong decided that she might as well accept the invitation that was sent out, and so she's here. Like Mel the blind teenager is also clad in civilian clothing. Shorts and an oversized t-shirt, metal bangles around her wrists, and she's got her satchel with her just in case she needs some various items. Who knows?

Kaiba Land seems like a weird place either way, and Toph looks curious as she wanders around, though she isn't too thrilled about the game field itself. Oh well, at least it's metal, so it's not like she's walking into this completely blind. The others are greeted with a nod and a handwave. "So... what kinda game do you think this is going to be? Like the Russian Roulette game with food?" she asks.

Raquna Sheldon (989) has posed:
"Sure is an interesting place out here, eh? Doesn't look anything like home to me, but this place sure is interesting." Raquna whistles softly as she checks out the scenery around the main room, peering at various screens and even pausing to read whatever's showing up on them without touching anything. The adventurer looks more like a tourist than a Protector today, donning a cap and blue t-shirt combo adorned with (what else) Kaiba Land's logos along with denim short shorts and...

... No weapons? No shields? She's definitely not here for work today. "Russian Roulette? If that involves food or booze, I'm game~"

Kotone Yamakawa has posed:
Kotone Yamakawa was happy to get out, Kaiba was a very interesting host for games while he was very much in it to win he always pulled out all the stops. She was more than willing to wait fdor the game to start it was quite curious to see it as everything was laid out and she had to wonder, was this also a test of a layout for an actual space station? She'd not put it past Kiba at all to mix business with his gaming, given the money he had throw about. Also it was likely a test for something new at Kaiba land as well but she had no issue with it.

She was chipper and ready for it as she look in everyone pausing at everyone and how they are dresse Ela'ashbel gets a heck of a look from Kotone who wasn't expecting something like that. She does however look to see Ainsley is here which is quite welcome and Toph who she knows mostly by reputation. Everyone else? Is a bit of an unknown to the young cyborg.

Heaven's Armory (1014) has posed:
Hravn is here, though not materialized in humanoid form. She's just hanging on Mel's back, in her sheath, that last being a fact that is not likely to change unless this outing goes horribly, horribly wrong. The former is a point that will probably change once she needs to do something other than observe.

Seto Kaiba (623) has posed:
A monitor appears. Upon it? Kaiba's face. He smiles, looking down at the group. It is, quite certainly, a two way monitor. He speaks, a smug look on his face. At the least? He looks like he is /very/ much ready, and very entertained.

"Mmm. Good evening. Welcome to Kaiba Corp's newest game: Space Station. The rules are simple. Each one of you will take on a role upon the space station. Each one of you will act out said role. Holograms will dress you for your role, as well. And, once everyone introduces themselves and their role? Head to your area of the space station. At that point? The traitor will strike."

"Once per round, the Traitor will remove one of you from the game. Holograms will simulate the results. No matter how real it looks? Don't worry. You're all safe. Once the traitor has removed someone from the game? The group of you, as a whole, will have a brief discussion, followed by a silent vote. Simply subvocalizing your vote will be enough. Once half the crew have decided who to accuse? The execution will take place. Pick the right person, and you win. Pick the wrong person? And the traitor strikes again."

And, a small smile. "And... There might just be more than one traitor. Good luck."

The monitor stops displaying Kaiba's face. Instead? It displays the following list, showing everyone's basic roles. Notably, Toph's role is read aloud, for her.

Chaplain - Toph - The Chaplain is in charge of religious services upon the space station, and providing spiritual guidance. The Chaplain is also responsible for funerals, being the only crew member aboard the ship who has the keys for the coffins, and the device to eject coffins into space.

Chef - Mel Brock - The ship's chef, in charge of ensuring the crew remains well fed. Their home is the kitchen, and they have access to all of the supplies that come with it.

Clown - Raquna - The ship's entertainment. They have no real place on the ship, instead just wandering and making sure everyone is happy and laughing.

Computer - Ela'Ashbel - The station's on board computer. Though it has eyes throughout the ship, it suffers from blind spots on occasion. It can not directly interact with others, lacking its own body, but can order out robots to take care of things for it. The person playing the computer sits isolated in the computer's room, watching various monitors put up for them.

Captain - Ainsley - The captain of the space station. Usually remains in their office, but is often tasked with walking around and ensuring that everyone stays in line.

Medical - Kotone - The head of the medical staff, meant to make sure everyone on the crew stays healthy. Also responsible for pronouncing crew members dead.

And, once everyone has had enough chance to read the text? The holograms activate costumes for everyone. Their normal clothes are still 'on', the hologram simply uses trickery to make them seem invisible, and to dress the group in their appropriate costumes. The costumes themselves feel real too, though. Kaiba's holograms truly are astounding, and seem so real.

Ela'Ashbel (995) has posed:
Ela'Ashbel is on the computers. "Interesting..." She murmurs. The alterration to her outfit is interesting, too. She had not been expecting that, especially something that felt so real. This Kaiba fellow really had something going on here. So, she departs towards her station. No sense waiting around. With the physical eyes of the computer and her psyker witchcraft, she'd have no trouble keeping an eye on everyone.

Mel Brock (941) has posed:
"It's an oldschool game of Mafia, sounds like," Mel replies to Toph, hands in her pockets. She looks up to the ceiling to listen with interest, not really paying the monitor itself any mind; the words are what's important, and it turns out she's the cook. "Well, no promises to five-star cuisine, but I'll keep you all fed, I guess. Unless I'm the traitor, in which case I'll keep you all dead," she adds with a light smirk. The psychic reaches up and lightly adjusts her chef's apron a bit, before heading for the kitchen. "Hrafn, keep your eyes open for this. The game itself is just about as basic of social interaction and interplay as it gets, nevermind all the pretty holographic trappings. Good way to see how people out here in the Multiverse interact."

A pause, and then she yells over her shoulder, "Dinner's at six, ya ingrates! You're not there, you're not eatin'."

Toph Beifong (20) has posed:
While Toph can't see the monitor, she hears Kaiba's voice easily enough, tilting her head a bit. Space Station? The explanation sounds kinda.... familiar? Isn't this like the game she played at Njorun with the others way back? The blind girl doesn't look too worried, though she does narrow her eyes. "The Chaplain...?" she asks, looking a bit incredulous. Because she is certainly very very religious as everybody knows. So religious that she bends crosses in front of highly devoted rats. But whatever, she can go with this.

So Toph adapts a snooty expression while she clutches her hands in front of her, as in prayer. And she nods at Mel. "Sure sounds like it... played that game once, very fun. Except everybody seemed to suspect ME of being the werewolf all the time," she snickers. "And well, I'll get preachy enough for you if that's what you want!" With that she heads towards the chapel.

Ainsley (151) has posed:
Oddly enough, Ainsley is given the role of Captain in this game. Her outfit actually turns out to be roughly similar to her ordinary one, a black jumpsuit of some variety with a wide-brimmed red hat, her jumpsuit decorated with various medals. It's a little thick, like she's got armor on, but a captain has to be prepared after all.

Once she gets acquainted with the space station with some walking, her hands clasped in front of her the whole time, she finds her office and takes a moment to announce to the others using an intercom likely found in her office (or with her magic, for the effect):

"Hello, this is Captain Ainsley. I don't expect everyone to be polite, but I do expect everyone to do their jobs. Captain out."

Raquna Sheldon (989) has posed:
"That sounds easy enough. So we don't know who the traitor is, but..." Raquna trails off as she makes her way back to the monitor, scanning the list of names and roles to spot hers. Her carefree grin grows just a little wider when she finds her name, then waits for the holograms to work their magic. She takes a moment to look over her goofy novelty slippers, the poofy pants, the silly hat...

"Not what I was expecting, but... I can work with this~" She reaches into her actual-pockets and digs out a pair of castanets, slipping the small percussion instruments over her palms. She gives them a few quick test clacks before saluting the rest of the group, looking each person over to try and remember their appearances.

"Never heard of this mafia thing, but I'll make sure everyone's having a good time, yah. Raquna Sheldon. Pleased to meet you all~!" Another laugh, several more clacks, a twirl and bow later, and the redhead starts to simply start wandering the ship! It's as good of an opportunity as any other to learn the layout of the place since she doesn't have a place to claim herself, anyway.

Kotone Yamakawa has posed:
Kotone Yamakawa ponders the use of holograms for clothing given just how far this world has /pushed/ the tech already? She has to wonder where it will end up. However she's here to play a game aas sh listens and she gets into costume easy enough.

"Greetings I'm the chief medical officer Kotone Yamakawa."

Heaven's Armory (1014) has posed:
Hravn doesn't visibly move or audibly talk, but she's still doing as Mel asked. Just keeping an eye out, particularly behind the cook. Why is a cook carrying a great, big, curved sword? This would be a good question for most station crews, and the answer is probably not 'chopping vegetables.'

Seto Kaiba (623) has posed:
Some brief time is given for everyone to get to their stations. But, then, suddenly? The lights go out. Kaiba's voice speaks up. "You all went through the day, performing your jobs as admirably as you can. But... During the night? Tragedy strikes, in the Medbay. You have all been called to visit it as a matter of standard business. It's time for most of you to have a bit of a check up. But... Upon arriving...? Or for the computer, upon her looking at the monitor? Well. I'll let you see for yourselves."

The lights come on slowly, to simulate morning. There is silence, as everyone makes the trip. The medbay? Well. It looks much the same as normal. At first. The lights are dimmer than on the rest of the ship. There is a switch near the door into the medbay, to turn them up more. It looks like business as usual. Sitting there, at the front desk, is the chief of medical, Kotone. But. She is slumped over, laying back in her chair. Arms dangling to the side. Marks are around her throat. Red in color. The color from the rest of her body? It has been drained, competely. Kotone is no longer alive.

Elsewhere, though? Kotone has been removed from the game. The Holograms have brought her to a waiting room of sorts. A monitor is on the wall, allowing her to watch the action. Several chairs are lined up, as are a number of snacks. And, Mokuba is within the room as well, sitting near a table.

"Yo! Enjoy yourself while the others get themselves killed, okay?"

Mel Brock (941) has posed:
When Mel enters the medbay the next 'morning', she's putting on a bleary face, as if having just been woken up. Is she... actually playing her role here? She might be. Especially given that, once they reach the medbay and there's nothing but a corpse to be found, she stops dead, goes wide-eyed for a few seconds, and then mumbles, "Well, that's... that's uh... that's one less mouth to feed, right...? Aheheh..." Yep. She is, in fact, acting. Or roleplaying. Same thing.

Raquna Sheldon (989) has posed:
Sure, it's just a simulation rather than someone actually getting killed, but still. It's a good thing Raquna's seen plenty of bodies in her line of work, though, or she'd be visibly freaked out over this! "Whoa. That's pretty rough right there, eh? At least nobody can blame her for napping on the job~"

She clacks to punctuate that last part. Raquna's still got a job to do, after all, and she's a professional! "... So do we have any leads on this? I didn't see a thing last night!" Clack clack, and then a twirl in those big floppy clown shoes and a honk of that big red clown nose.

Ela'Ashbel (995) has posed:
Ela'Ashbel watches from the monitors. Surprised she did not notice that someone had snuck in and offed some of the competition, she resolves to keep a better eye out - especially for herself. "How intriguing..." She states over the communication systems. "This is your computer expert, Ela'Ashbel, I can assure you, I saw nothing. Rather strange..."

Toph Beifong (20) has posed:
When they're called to the medbay, Toph rushes along with the rest, not sure what the others can see. But... her eyes widen slightly when she realises there is a still body in the chair there, quiet at first. Raquna is right in her bizarre humour though, and Toph nods slightly, her expression tense. "Well, obviously I didn't see anything either," she responds. Well, at least more of them are up for some brief jokes. It's just a game after all.

But who did this? That's the real question. Somehow she doubts she will be able to tell if people are lying in this game, as it was the same in the other game, rigged to nobody would have an unfair advantage.

    "So... who did it?"

It doesn't hurt to ask, at least.

Mel Brock (941) has posed:
Mel Brock folds her arms over her chest. "Awful suspicious, the computer not seeing anything."

Toph Beifong (20) has posed:
Sighing, Toph shrugs. "The last time I played this game it was set up this way too... although it was slightly different."

Raquna Sheldon (989) has posed:
"Whoa... Do you think anyone's really gonna fess up that easily?" Another nose honk, and Raquna holds her hands up. "I know for sure it wasn't me. My hands are full!" Clack clack.

Mel Brock (941) has posed:
Mel Brock chuckles. "Of course you're gonna say you're innocent. So am I. So is everyone." She uncrosses her arms, and points at a camera. "We gotta start with what we know. And what we know is, the computer shoulda seen something, yeah? Which means either someone hacked it, or it's crooked to start with."

Ela'Ashbel (995) has posed:
"I have blindspots. And the power went out." Ela'Ashbel reminds everyone. "So, its only natural I might miss something."

Mel Brock (941) has posed:
Mel Brock arches an eyebrow. "Entirely too natural, I'd say. Makes a perfect alibi. I think the computer did it. Mostly because we don't have anything else to go on."

Ela'Ashbel (995) has posed:
"That's horrible logic!" The intercom protests. "If it seems too easy, it probably is. The person was crafty enough to evade my vision and kill one of us without anyone noticing. Think about that for a moment." Ela'Ashbel seems a bit aggitated that they weren't thinking it through well enough. "In all likelihood, it was one of you."

Raquna Sheldon (989) has posed:
Raquna hums softly and takes a seat on the table directly, taking the opportunity to do REVERSE BRIDEGS on the surface of the table with just her head and feet making contact. She's just showing off now, isn't she?

"But if it was the computer... Wouldn't it be easier if she didn't record it at all?" Clack clack. "Nah, it'd have to be someone strong. Choking people is harder than it looks, eh?"

Mel Brock (941) has posed:
"It's much easier to believe the computer was tampered with, I say," Mel replies, crossing her arms. "Or if it tampered with itself. Easy for the recordings of a work robot strangling someone to death to just disappear."

Ela'Ashbel (995) has posed:
"You know, if I am reading correctly, my computer states here that Mel there is a law enforcement officer of some sort. She'd know how to stage a scene!" Ela'Ashbel protests, sticking her vote on Mel.

Mel Brock (941) has posed:
"What're you talking about? I'm just the station's chef," Mel replies blandly.

Kotone Yamakawa has posed:
Kotone Yamakawa is going about her bsuiness as it's morning things are quuiet and she's goinv ove the medicl work in the bay,m honestly? Kaiba didn't even skimp out on the small details like the paper work actually not being a pile of Rossums. It doesn't however last too long she'd been working late? Kotone meets her end to whom hever the traitor is and she's choked to death and she's there for a bit but not too long. She looks to the waiting room she's in and she sees the nack which she gets up to go get.

"Mokuma, it's been a while. Have you been doing all right and this should be interesting to see how this plays out."

Ela'Ashbel (995) has posed:
"But were you always a chef?" The intercom adds in questioningly."

Mel Brock (941) has posed:
"Far as I know," Mel replies with a shrug. "I don't have a backstory."

Toph Beifong (20) has posed:
"They are most likely not a very moral person," Toph huffs in displeasure where she stands. "Just how can we know if this is scened anyway?" Suspicion is part of the game, so of course people will try to trick them. And somebody is being awfully quiet...

Ainsley (151) has posed:
Ainsley speaks up after staring at the body with a mild frown on her face. She doesn't have much reasoning to share with the others, because she just lacks any evidence to make a judgment here. She listens to the others keenly, one of her hands resting on the brim of her fancy hat.

"Wouldn't you think... that if someone were to murder another member of the crew, they would go to the trouble of making sure it wouldn't be seen? The computer is the first the mind jumps to, but the first person to suggest it was the computer was Mel," she says, lazily gesturing toward them. "I believe it was them, if it was anyone. They were the first to think of a way to shunt blame. That feels more suspicious than the computer not seeing anything. None of us saw anything, either."

Raquna Sheldon (989) has posed:
Clack clack, then a whistle! "Oh? A computer ready to wreak vengeance on humanity, a chef looking for the most dangerous meal, a chaplain seeking to bring everyone closer to god with her own hands, a..."

Raquna pauses. "... Oh! A captain with secrets to hide, and a clown playing everyone for the fool. Oh, this is getting juicy already~!" Is Raquna still playing the part, or is she actually starting to enjoy this in a weirdly morbid sort of way?

     Clack clack.

Mel Brock (941) has posed:
"No, I'll tell you what I'm doing, I'm painting a great big target on my back," Mel replies to Ainsley. "Trying to get people talking and thinking. If I wanted to be a pain, I'd point to the person who just leapt on a chance to toss me into the fire. Buuut..." The chef swings her hand around, and points at Toph. "They're not nearly as suspicious as the person that keeps quiet and tries not to be noticed. Just going with the flow, hoping nobody'll suspect you, huh?"

Ainsley (151) has posed:
Ainsley shrugs at Mel, and reminds, "I wasn't the first to divert attention to you," with a helpless hands-at-her-sides posture.

Seto Kaiba (623) has posed:
The votes have been made in secret. A monitor displays who has voted for who. And, now, as it stands? 3 votes for Mel. 2 for Toph. Kaiba's voice speaks up, yet again.

"And, with this? The decision has been made. The group has decided on Mel. It falls to the captain of the ship to execute the one the crew has judged as traitor."

Suddenly? A laser pistol is in a holster, and added to Ainsley's outfit.

"Of course, someone else can fire the shot, if you wish. Or, you could simply launch the accused into space."

Ela'Ashbel (995) has posed:
"Well, I think it was the right decision." Ela'Ashbel states over the intercoms. "We'll find out if we were correct or not."

Toph Beifong (20) has posed:
"People ought to think about this lest they doom an innocent person and make it harder for the killer," Toph says. "Rash voting will lead to one more person dead, and the killer one step closer into finishing us all off. Wait and listen." That's the best way to solve most things in life, the typical earthbender way. Though she turns her attention slightly to Ainsley. "You seem awfully suspicious yourself though..."

And then it's decided, and Toph swallows slightly. "Launched into space...? Okay, that's one way I don't want to go!"

Raquna Sheldon (989) has posed:
The execution order actually catches Raquna off guard, and she almost slides right off the table! "Whoa... Wait, it has to be direct like that? Even if it's a game, that's pretty harsh, eh?"

Rubbing her butt before standing back up, the Clown Guard turns to Ainsley with a sympathetic sigh. "Well... At least there'll be a trip of a lifetime if we do this 'space launching' thing."

A long pause, and then she remembers to honk her nose! Clowns are awful.

Ainsley (151) has posed:
Ainsley pulls the laser gun from its holster with a calm motion and aims it at Mel calmly. She doesn't seem shocked in the slightest and her life experiences and her very nature make it difficult to be bothered by such a scenario. She glances aside at Toph and then to Raquna, and decides:

    "Space her."

She holsters the laser pistol after that.

Ela'Ashbel (995) has posed:
"Its pertinent to keep in mind, if you sentance someone, they must die." Ela'Ashbel states over the comms. "Otherwise our debate means nothing."

Mel Brock (941) has posed:
"Okay, I take it back, it was definitely the computer," Mel says, raising her hands into the air. "When one of you turns up dead tomorrow, take a magnet to the backups." She seems resigned to her fate.

Toph Beifong (20) has posed:
There is a solemn look on Toph's face when Ainsley gives the order, and she closes her eyes, giving a brief nod, though she doesn't look happy about it.

Raquna Sheldon (989) has posed:
Another sigh, and Raquna squeaky-walks over to Mel before giving her a light pat on the shoulder and leaning in close. "Ah, don't worry. We'll be ge-"

Wait. There's a kid here, isn't there? She's not quite sure how old Toph is, but... Better safe than sorry. "... We'll make it quick. But hey, tell us how the view is once we're all done here~"

Clack clack. The clown's diligent about her work, at least!

Ela'Ashbel (995) has posed:
"The view from vacuum is rather intriguing, to say the least." Ela'Ashbel states. "Its, however, not very pleasant."

Mel Brock (941) has posed:
Mel turns her head to stare at Raquna for several seconds. "I change my mind. Suspect the clown if one of you dies. The clown is creepy." Her hands are still in the air.

Raquna Sheldon (989) has posed:
Raquna flinches and throws her hands back in exaggerated surprise! "Wha... M-me?! But I couldn't hurt any of you cuties! Everyone's just too... Cute!"

Way to make yourself look less creepy. At least it's all an act, right? RIGHT?

Seto Kaiba (623) has posed:
Launched into space. A terrible fate. Mel is put into a coffin, and shot into space. There is a brief time where she is stuck in a coffin, simulating what it'd be like to put into such a thing. It's not for long, though. She is soon teleported to the holding room. From there, she can continue to watch the events and eat snacks.

Some time is given for each person to return back to their rooms. After all, it's time for the next night. Time to see if someone managed to survive. The lights dim as before. And, then they turn back on. Morning has come again. It's time for everyone to search the Space Station, and ensure nothing happened.

Sadly for the group? Something /does/ happen. Another person has died. Right in the middle of the station, at a central hallway.

Ainsley lays on the ground, face flat upon it. Her skull is bashed in. Thankfully, it spares the gore from such. But, the murder weapon, the implement by which she was struck? It still rests on her head. A banjo, broken from multiple repeated impacts on Ainsley's head. She, too, gets to join the others in the waiting room. This leaves Ela, Raquna, and Toph, still alive. The station? Now without its captain.

Mel Brock (941) has posed:
Having been 'killed', Mel finally steps into the waiting room with Kotone, and gives both her and Mokuba a nod. "Yo." She reaches back and lightly taps the sword at her back. "People always look at the loudest person in this game, and it gets them in trouble every time. I might've done that on purpose. Just maybe. They'll be more careful now."

Toph Beifong (20) has posed:
As the person in charge of the coffins, Toph isn't happy at all about putting Mel in one of them.

And morning greets them with another death. Ainsley, horribly murdered and maimed by music. Indeed they often go for the loudest person in such games, and well... they chose poorly. They will have to choose better next time. Because it will be the last.

Without turning towards the others, Toph adapts a serious tone. "Perhaps we shouldn't trust the clown."

Raquna Sheldon (989) has posed:
Simulated sleep! Or pretending liek she slept. Raquna's not sure what the case is out here, but at least she doesn't feel tired. Invigorated, even! At least until she sees A NEW BODY.

"... Oh, that's just cruel. Who'd waste a perfectly good instrument?" Raquna clicks her tongue in time with the castanet clacking. She pauses for a moment, then grimaces. "... But really, how are we supposed to figure this one out with just the three of us?"

Heaven's Armory (1014) has posed:
Hravn chooses this moment to reveal her 'human' body, the woman in yellow falling into a chair next to Mel. "Aha, I see. This is an interesting game. There's so little to go on, so one leaps to conclusions over the smallest thing. Something like that?" She looks through the snacks before taking up some potato chips. Munch.

Mel Brock (941) has posed:
"Pretty much," Mel replies, lacing her hands over her abdomen and reclining a bit. "But there's also mind games going on. You watch how people act. See if you can figure out a pattern under all the baseless accusations." After that, she falls silent, watching the show.

Ainsley (151) has posed:
Ainsley is also in the waiting room, since she was killed in the game. She shrugs at Mel and smiles toward the other deceased players. "That was fun," she says, "Brief, but I enjoy the dramatic flair this has." She then adds, as a side note, "It was very hard to avoid cheating during this, I could very well have read people using my magic."

Ela'Ashbel (995) has posed:
The intercom beeps. "So, which one of you folks did it this time? Hm? The kid? The clown?" She ponders that over for a moment. "I... I must say, kid. You strike me as a little too guilty. Maybe I should have picked you before. Sorry."

Toph Beifong (20) has posed:
At that Toph lets out a snort. "Who are you calling a kid? I'm fifteen years old," she points. See? Totally not a kid. "And you seem awfully suspicious yourself, the chef was right."

Kotone Yamakawa has posed:
Kotone Yamakawa looks over to Mel and grins for a moment moving to offer her chips for a moment. "The real assaisn would be quiet about it helpful in 'looking into it. Then again I'm just an rank amature but I know yelling and wearing a bright jumpsuit isn't the way to do it. So how does it feel being dead Mel?"

Mel Brock (941) has posed:
"Remarkably comfortable," Mel replies to Kotone, with a grin and a thumbs-up.

Ela'Ashbel (995) has posed:
"The chef was incorrect. However, if we select incorrectly now, we all perish, save the killer. One vote, two deaths. Are you confident enough to select me? Or are you going to select the clown." The intercom crackles a bit as the computer lady laughs. "But in all seriousness, I can't even leave this room."

Seto Kaiba (623) has posed:
Mokuba is in the waiting room with the others, mostly supervising. He sits back in his chair. Notably, Mokuba's chair is higher than the others. Mostly to make the grade schooler a biiiit taller. Also, his chair is more of a throne.

"This game has been great so far! And just wait. The winner is /sure/ to love the prize!"

And, a glance to Mel. "....Hehe. We didn't actually program it to let you 'Experience Death'. This time~. So of course it's gonna feel pretty comfortable!"

Toph Beifong (20) has posed:
"It takes guts..." Toph agrees firmly, crossing her arms across her chest. At least she looks as confident as always, or at least she tries to. "You might not be able to leave your room, but maybe there are other ways you could have done them in," she states to Ela.

Raquna Sheldon (989) has posed:
Honk. Raquna's having way too much fun with that squeaky nose. "Maybe you don't need to leave the room. Maybe that's just what you want us to think. But... What if you had your drone do it the whole time?" She peers at the intercom skeptically, pauses, then turns to Toph. "Perhaps it's your way of getting us closer to your god as soon as possible. With so much in your history books and fancy texts, you just had to keep the humans from getting too ahead of themselves!" Raquna levels an accusing look at Toph, then throws her hands up dramatically and...

Clack clack. It's not complete without the clacks!

Ela'Ashbel (995) has posed:
"Garroting someone is a very personal method of elimination." Ela'Ashbel states. "More likely someone out there managed it than me."

Toph Beifong (20) has posed:
"Hey!" Getting people closer to god? "Sure, I might be the type to force people, but surely I could do better to convince you to get close to him! Like praying for him to save us from the killer or something..."

The clacking of the castanets makes the blind girl blink twice... Then she shakes her head, letting it go. "I'm certain it was Ela. She claims she had no way to commit the murders, and that sounds fishy in my book. It's almost too perfect to be true."

Mel Brock (941) has posed:
Watching the proceedings, Mel leans over and murmurs something to Hrafn, pointing at the screen.

Ela'Ashbel (995) has posed:
"Well, if you think it was me, go ahead and come and get me. You sign your own death with that." The intercom states.

Raquna Sheldon (989) has posed:
Raquna hops into a chair and kicks her feet up onto the table, lounging back and trying to peer underneath the table. The clown has to keep up appearances! "The chaplain does raise a pretty good point... But it does all seem a little too easy." The redhead slumps a bit, then strokes her chin. "But if you want us to think it's too easy, then it's... No. No. I'm not falling for that."

That'd just cause so many headaches. "I think... Yanno what? Let's see who fortune smiles on today!"

Seto Kaiba (623) has posed:
The monitor with the votes shows the final results. Two for Ela'Ashbel. One for Toph. Kaiba speaks over the monitor.

"The majority of the human crew members remaining have made a unanimous decision: The Station's Computer has gone haywire. With a unanimous vote, the computer has lost most of the power it had to control the station. Only one thing remains: To remove the intelligence chips for the computer, disabling it."

A door opens nearby. Within? A red lit room. A large number of computer chips are installed in the walls and floors, in various slots. All that remains? To remove each of the chips, and disable the computer.

Ela'Ashbel (995) has posed:
"Well, it seems you have selected me. Rather poor decision, I might add." The computer states. "Ah well, come get me then. I cannot stop you, after all. I have no arms."

Heaven's Armory (1014) has posed:
Hravn conspiratorially whispers in conference with Mel while watching the screen.

Toph Beifong (20) has posed:
Another decision, and Toph turns her head a bit once the computer goes haywire. There's some nervousness there, and Toph nods at Raquna. "Let's go." They surely got the killer this time...! And by removing the intelligence chip, it will all be over.

Carefully Toph ventures into the room, walking over to the walls before she quickly begins removing the chips.

Kotone Yamakawa has posed:
Kotone Yamakawa says "Good to hearthen, chip?"

She offers MEl a bag of lays. When Ainsley arrive she grins a little bit at her and moves to offer the bag of chip to Ainsley once Mel is done with any she might want.

"Well you still managed not to right and here chips? The level Kiba corp has taken holograms is impressive and the fact he's kept it to the civilian sector says a lot about him honestly."

Kiba could be a jerk sure, but Kotone could think of ways this could be used for military ends and it doesn't seem to be done so.So that does say something to her.

Raquna Sheldon (989) has posed:
Raquna clacks her castanets with POWERFUL DETERMINATION. "We'll find out soon enough. The climax of this play is coming, so we can only go forward! Without a computer running this whole thing."

She's furrowing her brow even as she follows Toph into the room to start removing chips. It's probably a good thing this isn't happening for real, or she'd be regretting her choice already!

Ela'Ashbel (995) has posed:
Well, there's not much left of the computer. Its gone. Kaput. Done. Finished.

Toph Beifong (20) has posed:
Another nod leaves Toph, and she pulls out one of the chips... and then with a sigh, she pulls the last one needed out. There.

With that she grins. "We did it!" she says, one hand on her hip, and she tosses the chips in her hand up and down. All before she throws twitches her fingers... and then lets out a cackling laugh, throwing her arms aside as her hologram shape begins changing... into a twisted monster.

Raquna Sheldon (989) has posed:
Raquna putson the straightest face she can as Toph's hologram changes and shifts, growing more monstrous and significantly less like a cute teenager!

"... Looks like I miscalculated. At least we had a good show, eh?"

     TWO FINAL CLACKS.

Heaven's Armory (1014) has posed:
Hravn claps her hands together twice, showing appreciation for the show. "So it was the chaplain, after all. Knowing the votes is quite an advantage, though someone could play some tricks based on them, as well. You wouldn't expect someone to vote for one other than the one they'd openly accused, for instance."

Seto Kaiba (623) has posed:
Kaiba appears on the monitors, smirking. He doesn't block the view of the others, seeing the space station from the 'losers' room. He'll let them get a good view of Toph as a monster for some time.

"I must admit. You all did well. You put logic forth. But... The wrong conclusion was still drawn. Miss Beifong managed to outwit all of you. Stark is training her well, isn't he...?"

Some time is given for Toph to go in for the kill on Raquna. It's just holograms, after all. No one will feel pain. Of course, he /could/ turn the pain on. But. He's not feeling that malicious today. But, after a bit, Kaiba continues to talk.

"Of course. The winner shall be granted a prize. Toph Beifong. You shall be given a rare Duel Monsters card. Parasite Paracide. In addition, you will be given a card sleeve with brail on it, to help you play it more effectively. The card will be waiting for you outside the simulation."

Kotone Yamakawa has posed:
Kotone Yamakawa says "That was a good deal of fun. Though I think the larger the group the more interesing the games dymanics would get still it was quite intering and humm not bad from what I know of duel monsters. I'd certainly make use of it again, the next time I come to Kaiba land if it's up for public use again. It was a pretty smart move to kill me first, I could have caused her a lot of trouble."

Toph Beifong (20) has posed:
Man, there better not be any pain! If there were, then there's no way Toph would agree to play this. It's rather quick with how she ends it all, though with some flair. She's not about to gloat!

The prize she's given though makes the blind girl arch an eyebrow. "What? What do I want a card for?" she inquires, then shrugs. "Well, good game! Lots of you were suspecting me, it's not like I blame you..." All in all she seems to be in a good mood. "Ice cream's on me, order whatever you like guys!" Seriously, Kaiba thinks Tony has been training her? She was this devious to begin with, which is why she managed to get along so well with the person who's now her adoptive father.

Mel Brock (941) has posed:
Clapclapclapclap. Mel is on her feet. "Hey hey, pretty nice job. Keeping people dancing like that's not easy." She turns to Ainsley and adds, "I honestly thought it was gonna be you until you turned up dead too." Hrafn interacting and engaging with the game, even as a spectator, seems to bring another little smile to the psychic's face, too.

Raquna Sheldon (989) has posed:
Raquna's playing along quite well, flailing dramatically and clutching at her chest and making sure to land on that big red nose. She needs to make sure it feels like a fun show rather than something weird and frightening, after all!

Once everything's back to (relative) normalcy, the redhead is still looking about as amused as ever. "Aah... That was a fun game. Clever girl, Miss Beifong~" She winks at Toph before scooting over to Ela to give her a light clap on the back. "I should've stuck with my gut instinct from the start. Still, we got a really interesting mix for this game, eh?" Another clap, and she looks towards Mel, Ainsley, and Kotone at the mention of ice cream.

"... You think they've got maple?"
