Down Time
Date of Scene: 18 February 2019
Location: Pokemon Archipelagos
Synopsis: Kebobs and casual talk between two long-time multiversers.
Cast of Characters: Alexis, Tomoe

Alexis has posed:
Being islands with a semi-active volcano in the north-center of the largest section of land, Hoenn really didn't have much in the way of winter weather. So it was still perfectly fine weather for sitting on a deck shooting the breeze. Not that Alexis was going to invite someone over without providing appropriately. Sitting outside meant grilled food of course... though there wasn't a grill. At least not of the standard mechanical variety. There was a Torkoal lounging in one corner of the deck, with grills set up over the hot craters in his shell. Who needs propane when you have natural geothermal body heat, am I right?

Tomoe has posed:
Tomoe does not mind the heat heck she likes lack of winter, and she's not in armour she's in what sort of casual clothing might pass for in ALPO though it's some off Fantasy clothing but still it's decent enough as she comes in for a landing at Alexis home and calls out.

"Alexis I'm here!"

Alexis has posed:
Alexis leans over the deck railing and waves so she can be seen around the side of the building. "Back here Tomoe!" The deck was elevated off the slope behind the building, overlooking the riven than flowed past. A nice view and convenient for the few Water types she did have. Other than the Torkoal playing grill it was fairly basic, just a few deck chairs and an umbrella to provide a bit of shade.

Tomoe has posed:
Tomoe head to the back for the deck and will catch up with her friend with a grin as she moves tio find a spot to sit down. "Very nice view so this is your lair? More swanky than I thought it would be and makes me a bit jelous really. So how long have you been running about the multiverse anyway have you?"

Alexis has posed:
Alexis pffs. "Swanky is not the word I would use. But the Pokemon need somewhere to go when they're not with me." She walks over to the Torkoal and pats him on the head. "Good job." Then picks up a pair of kabobs from the grates, walking back over to offer one to Tomoe. "Longer than anyone bothers to remember."

Tomoe has posed:
Tomoe says "You and your friend were long time vets when you found us in the death game. It feels like a few life times ago with that. Everything's changed hasn't it. All the people who saved us save you mort, pris and staren are long gone..."

Alexis has posed:
Alexis shrugs a little, holding her hands partway out in a sort of look at me gesture. "I was still a teenager when we got thrown into things. Just think on that for a bit." Then flops down on her own deck chair. "Eh, they're all out there somewhere. The Multiverse just likes to jumble itself up now and then. It'd give any astrophysist a headache trying to make sense of." Another half-shrug and she bites a piece off her own kabob.

Tomoe has posed:
Tomoe :says "I was the same too at the time well my childhood ended real fast witht hat but now running about with gods, demons and more. Hell it's a lot to take in the things /I/ have done and I often keep digging myself deeper. I hear that profession tends to go insane here if they poek things too hard." She'll get some food now and start chomping on it.

Alexis has posed:
Alexis waggles the kabob rod in the air in front of her. "The only downside is sometimes it's hard to find a real challenge any more. After having been through so many things. It's kinda hard to top something like helping restore a world -- twice.... But at this point I'd probably get too bored doing anything 'normal'."

Tomoe has posed:
Tomoe says "That would be up there and I helped in a little way birth a world a long time ago. Then there was Priscilla's homeworld too." She shakes her head "Funny for a girl who would be seen as garabge by plenty of the demi gods and gods running around these days."

Alexis has posed:
"Gods tend to have a stupidly high opinion of everything. Oh heaven forbid they actually try to understand mortals for what they are. Though people that just think they're god are even worse." Alexis snorts at the thought, chewing on more of her kabob.

The moment of quiet contemplation comes to an end with a cacophony of barking from the house. The pokemon gate in the door flutters wildly as a Growlithe comes barreling out. Then again as another dog-like pokemon, this one in very earthy tan and brown colors careens after him, and a merry chase around the deck weaving beneath the chairs and what not follows. "Growl growl!" "Ruff ruff!"

Tomoe has posed:
Tomoe looks at the dog like pokemon and laughs "A dog will be a dog." She notes tossing some of the meat to the pokemon, before she take sa moment to go back to some of it for herself. "Still seems like the new factions are a lot more narrow if that is the best way ti put it?"

Alexis has posed:
If there's one thing to get dogs to sit still for at least a few moments, its treats! Though as soon as the snacks are snacked the two take off resuming their chase, eventually bounding down the deck steps and off into the fields. Alexis glances down at her C-Gear. "Must be time to herd in the Mareep." She settles back in her chair, folding one arm behind her head. "Yeah. You know Growlithes. The other one is a Rockruff. They're mainly found in Alola." The topic of factions just gets a bit of an eyeroll out of the tomboy. "Eh. They're not pointlessly harassing each other in an endless stalemate, I'll give 'em that. Still glad I 'retired' from all that regulated nonsense though. If I'm gonna find trouble it's at least gonna be the trouble I -want- to be in! None of this go here no don't go there they don't support us. Oi vey."

Tomoe has posed:
Tomoe says "Sounds like an interesting name for it and yes they are not at all out war but a lot of war criminals are still floating around. I do miss the sheare support we used to get though but I turned down the Paladins recuiter. I don't think I'd work well there, I do like getting certifed to operate on worlds when I can though."

Alexis has posed:
Alexis pulls the last piece of meat off her kabob, chewing on it thoughtfully. Flicks the empty skewer towards her Torkoal, who catchs it and plunks it in a pail next to him. "I mainly just like not having all the red tape over my head," she admits eventually. "The lack of support, sure. Can be a bother at times... But also that's how a lot of us Trainers typically operate, unless you're working for one of the Professors. Eh." She shrugs a little again then refolds her arms behind her head. "Even I do the odd errand for them now and then. And I've got the flock of Mareep out there if I need to make some extra cash, their wool is a pretty hot commodity."

Tomoe has posed:
Tomoe says "There is some order need One of the newer paladions made a note about murder hobos and she had a point but some worlds don't really ya know work that way. I'd likely be trying to strangel a few of the Paladins if I was working with them sadly so best I never sign up, right? I don't mind working itht hem honestly and Mareep? Is that like a sheep?"

Alexis has posed:
"Yeah, electric sheep." Alexis hopped off her chair and started to the steps off the deck. "Com'n, I can show ya. Extra pair of hands rounding them up never hurts either."

Tomoe has posed:
Tomoe starts laughing at this. "So we can dream of electric sheep? We should tell Orchid about these pokemon.
