Anivia (61) has posed:
Anivia the Cryophoenix has already seen so much in the few short months she's spent in the Multiverse. On a weekly basis, the Multiverse shatters all of her previous expectations. She is constantly sees things she once though impossible, and is frequently challenged in her ability to adapt with the worlds around her. Runeterra was nothing compared to the grand scale of the Multiverse, but it was... excellent practice. As an Immortal, one who has lived for literal eons... such new things invigorated the Frozen Immortal.

Even though Anivia has spent now a few months in the Multiverse, she was still as excited as the day she first arrived to simply pick a random direction and fly that way until she discovered something new. A perk of being both an immortal... and a bird.

Today it seems Anivia's adventuring was leading her farther away from the magical side of the Multiverse, and more into the futuristic / sci-fi part. On the horizon a city glimmers in the distance, the brightly colored metal and flashing neon-lights, holographic advertisements, and blaring traffic was more than enough to catch Anivia's attention. After a few beats of her wings, the Cryophoenix begins to head towards the large metropolis...

Anivia has already seen a few versions of New York City, and a few other metropolises that made the castle-town of Demacia and the city-state of Noxus look tiny in comparison. So discovering a city full of millions of people and cars wasn't anything 'TOO' new for the Cryophoeinx. But... this was something different.

"WELCOME TO ABLE CITY!" flash in bright neon yellow lights over the glowing blue highways, as vehicles like cars but with no wheels... hovering over the ground dash back and forth with amazing speeds. People of various shapes and sizes... and machines that resemble humans and anthromorphic animals wandering the crowded streets... this would be Anivia's first time encountering a Reploid.

High over the skies, the Cryophoenix flaps her frozen wings, circling the city and taking in all the sighs with wide glowing avian eyes. She felt dizzy, almost as-if she was getting sensory over-load with all the lights, sounds and colors from the futuristic metropolis below.

If anyone below were to look up, they would see a brightly glowing blue bird of eternal ice... but from so far away, it would be difficult to tell the Cryophoenix apart from the various other Reploids who inhabit the city.

Ferham (516) has posed:
The Crypophoenix likely does well in evading the few hovercars and hauling vehicles she flies past, the city is definitely well-populated and high tech. The myriad of lights may well dizzy her, though they were not hypnotic exactly as such, thankfully. That would likely be quite hinky. What there is, is a winged form that zooms past the large man-sized icebird and seems to slow down for just a moment, swinging around to hover nearby.

It's Ferham, and she seems to be looking at Anivia with a raised brow as she floats alongside her, her arms held outward while her legs were stretched back, sort of like a superheroine. Course, she might look a bit questionable for a 'hero' what with the dominatrixey getup and look of her armor and suit, but that's just part of the package. The armor does scream bird in many ways, though, particularly the helmet and wings.

"Huh, and here I thought I was the only ice-bird around here," she runs a gloved hand across her brow, her feminine voice twinged with what sounded very city-oriented, like New Yorker. Think Rattrap, almost. But a mature woman.

Anivia (61) has posed:
The sudden blur of color and rush of wind was certainly enough to catch Anivia's attention as the Cryophoenix snaps her head to face Ferham, as the Reploid woman comes rushing past her. The Cryophoenix flaps her wings as she loops around in the air, doing a small back flip as she spins to face Ferham.

While certainly Ferham had a rather... 'dominatrix' look to her, one that makes Anivia somewhat uncomfortable to around that whip... it was her bird-like qualities that stood out to the Cryophoenix far more. Tilting her head to one side... then slightly to the next, the Phoenix takes a moment to eye the female Reploid before speaking, "I am simply a visitor to these parts, a stranger to the Multiverse in general. I am Anivia, the Cryophoenix." she introduces simply, dipping her head slightly in a small bow. "This city caught my attention from afar, I have never seen anything like this on my home world." The Cryophoenix pauses, then mumbles under her breath, and mostly to herself; "Though I've seen a few civilizations get rather close..."

Ferham (516) has posed:
"Certainly very fast, and you speak--" Ferham put a hand to her helmet as if she was adjusting a visor or the like, likely checking a database or such, before looking a little surprised. Oh great--she just stopped to greet someone she was supposed to be against, apparently. Her green eyes went wide and those red lips of hers hung open for just a moment, before she recovered her composure. Pausing in her hover a bit to orbit along side the cryophoenix, she waved a little.

"I'm not out here on a mission and I'm not looking for a fight, just so long as we're both clear on that..." she doesn't make any move to reach for her weapon. "You flew into Able City, it's a megacity from a world similar to mine, though in truth I never travelled there... now would be the first time," she gestured to the rooftop perch of a high rise structure with an angling of her head, the bird woman descending with her legs outstretched, booted feet pointing toward it. She seemed to touch down against the surface of it in those high heels of hers.

Anivia (61) has posed:
Anivia looks down at Ferham with a somewhat confused look on her face. Anivia has spent only a short-time here in the Multiverse, and though she was indeed a Ally of the Union... it seems she was a rather loose ally. No doubt the Phoenix was a hero, a kind soul, a warrior for the weak; basically everything the Union would want... but she was still a Phoenix. She was still a bird. She didn't stay in their bases or outposts, she doesn't actively keep up with their database, and at the moment, it seems that she wasn't 100% sure who Ferham was... or of her Confederate affiliations.

As Ferham speaks out in her defense, Anivia does give her a somewhat confused look. It takes a moment before she realizes that Ferham was just ensuring that she would not attack the Cryophoenix, and Anivia simply signs it off as Ferham was carrying around weapons and was reassuring Anivia that she wasn't planning on using them.

When Ferham touches down on the side of the building, Anivia also lands rather close by. Perhaps it was just her nature to flock where other birds are... one can quite often find Anivia surrounded by pigeons, parrots, or all other forms of avians when the Cryophoenix is left without any human company.

Her frozen talons click against he metallic surface of the futuristic sky-scraper, as the Cryophoenix looks down at the city again with her glowing eyes. "Able City is it? A magical sounding world... sometimes I'm so dependant on magic, I forget how far technology can carry a species. I'm very impressed at the advances your kind has made here."

Ferham (516) has posed:
"So, you don't look like a normal bird, different species, or something magical?" Fer used the term 'magical' almost as if it was some sort of supernatural phenomenon, well, it was, but in a kind of clinical tone. Clicking over on those heels, her movements are deliberate, almost birdlike in their own ways, actually, like a flamingo almost.

"Yes, this city has stood since the turn of the century in this state, and likely will for many more, unless mavericks do something to try and level it, hoping that doesn't happen," Ferham blinked as she looked over at Anivia.

"I'm Ferham, a Reploid, essentially a robot with a human mind and emotions," she didn't ask further whether Anivia knew what she was talking about, though she did walk a little closer to see whether Anivia gave off any kind of cold temperature, maybe steam or mist rolled off her wings? She wasn't sure exactly. Ferham herself wasn't 'cold-blooded' herself even if her weapon system was concerned with ice, her body gave off heat, and it could be seen if she exhaled in cold temperatures.

Anivia (61) has posed:
Anivia notes the tone in Ferham's voice when she speaks of Magic and chuckles to herself in a motherly way. That was a ton of voice that Anivia hears often, and has heard many, many times over the eons of her life. Still she doesn't ever seem to tire of explaining herself or her magic, patients was after all a Cryophoenix's natural virtue.

"Magic indeed, I am a Cryophoenix. In a sense I'm actually sort of... magic incarnate of sorts. My world has a very deep magically driven eco-system, and we Phoenix just sort of naturally evolved over the eons." she explains. "The lore of the Phoenix is found in many places of the Multiverse, but usually described as great magical birds made of fire, constantly reborn from its own ashes. On my world, we have many Phoenixes made of fire, some of ice like myself, others of wind, lightning, water and so on." The Cryophoenix speaks of her home, but the more she explains the more her voice slowly turns to a homesick tone.

Before she could get any more emotional or carried away with her explanation of her home before Runeterra, Anivia catches herself and shakes her head. "But, regardless, I'm a denizen of Runeterra... and the Multiverse now. It seems the Multiverse may have need for a Phoenix guardian now and again."

Ferham (516) has posed:
"Elemental Phoenixes? Hmm, well that would explain something," Ferham smiled a little as she gestured toward Anivia. She'd never seen a magical creature of this magnitude, to be sure. She frowned a little as she noticed the homesick tone. "I was born on an island, I can't say I miss too terribly much, but..." she shrugged. It was an emotion she hadn't really thought about. Some point of nostalgia, likely. She shook her head. "It's nothing special to talk about really, I believe I've heard of such a place, that's where... Jinx is from, correct?" she tilted her head, likely unsure if Anivia knew what she spoke of.

"So, do you've a name? I wouldn't want to call you just what you are, or something like that," she put a hand up to lean herself against an outcropping, likely turning to lightly sit against it at that, kicking her high heeled feet out.

Anivia (61) has posed:
Anivia nods her head, turning to face Ferham as she mentions Jinx's name. After so many chaotic matches in the Fields of Justice, it was hard to ever forget such a firecracker of a Champion. "Yes, that's right. Jinx comes from the same world. Runeterra was like a miniature Multiverse in its own way. The Summoners there summoned many great heroes and creatures from other worlds and universes. Yet I never expected something as grand as the Multiverse itself."

The Cryophoenix once more looks down at the city streets, blinking as she eyes a group of humans and reploid construction workers put together a developing skyscraper. She watches with great curiosity as a large group of heavy-built Reploids lift entire steel beams with no problem. No doubt most of the buildings in this city was built by Reploids...

Ferham's voice pulls Anivia's attention from the construction below, as she smiles at the small Reploid. "I am Anivia, a name given to me eons ago." She chuckles and dips her head, "A pleasure to make your acquaintance." Her manners were almost overwhelmingly polite, though spending centuries as a diplomat might have had that effect on her.

Ferham (516) has posed:
"I see... so sort of like the rest of the multiverse, I understand," Ferham nodded, she /had/ heard the name before when looking up Jinx's info, Jinx herself was sometimes sketchy at giving details. Fer leaned over the edge and tried to follow Anivia's gaze, finding the sight of heavy construction 'loids and mechaniloids working on a building. Indeed, degravers and other such construction-bots weren't hard to find even in this already heavily built megalopolis.

"Sort of like slaves, in some ways, they used a lot of those in Giga City, as well," she speaks in a somewhat lower voice, as if talking partly to Anivia as well as herself.

"Anivia? Oh, sounds like it's related to the word Avian, which is understandable--likely parallel evolution of linguistics," now, that might be somewhat technical heavy of a line for Anivia, but Fer IS a robot. "Pleasure to meet you, as well," the femmebot reached out with a gloved hand that seemed to have talons and was even dark and scaled like a bird's.

Anivia (61) has posed:
Anivia has seen much... every Phoenix does. The Phoenix live as elemental guardians, as guides... not rulers. Phoenixes are not to directly involve themselves in the conflicts of the younger races unless they are left with no choice. They can judge as they pleace, but usually only offer advice to those who seek it. Yet as the Phoenixes try so hard to respect the culture and diversity of every species that evolve on their world... they also must witness the horrors that the younger species can create. Slavery... was one of them, and one of Anivia's most hated crimes.

"I do not like that comparison. They do have a choice, do they?" she asks, speaking with notable concern in her tone suddenly. "The Multiverse can offer one thing that few worlds could, absolute freedom, if one has the courage to leave home. I find that not many do..."

She pauses, pulling her mind from dark thoughts as she looks back at the Reploid beside her. "Quite astute, perhaps my name does have that ring to it." She chuckles and nods, "You're quite clever Ferham. I'm very curious by you Reploids now, you're certainly one of the most fascinating species I've come across."

Ferham (516) has posed:
"Sometimes not at all, it would depend on what the Reploid was created for," Ferham shook her head, still looking down with little expression, though she did seem interested in the proceedings. "If you're a combat model you typically are designed to fight, usually mavericks, but also for police intervention," she shook her head. "There are reploids who engage in typical activity as well, by themselves, not just ones used by humans," she looked over to Anivia.

"You think I'm clever?" she smiled. "I don't mind the compliment, I do try to learn as much as I can, we can learn just like humans do," she flicked a tiny pebble off the edge of the building as she sat down with her legs dangling over the edge.

"But to answer your question some of us felt like slaves back on Giga City, so we decided to revolt, which landed me in my... current circumstances," she shrugged.

Anivia (61) has posed:
Anivia nods her head, the word revolt drawing no expression on the avian's features, but silently the Cryophoenix does feel some dread at the word. She has seen many revolts, and almost all of them end up with blood. Yet the Cryophoenix doesn't judge, she was wise enough to know that she knows nothing of this world, she was new and a visitor, she couldn't make judgments until she researched all key points. Yet in the Multiverse, with chaos around every corner, Elder Gods and Demonic beings springing up and attacking cities, the Cryophoneix doubts exactly how much time she could invest in this world's plights.

Though Anivia was indeed immortal, time is not infinite for everyone... and not even the Cryophoenix can be in two places at the same time.

For now, she simply nods, understanding Ferham's words and keeping all emotion out of her thought-process. "I'm sure you did what you felt was right, sometimes when you're simply caught at the center of so much chaos, things happen so fast you don't even realize what you've done until after everything has ended." Anvia speaks... her tone saying she speaks from experience, but as a Phoenix when does she not?

Ferham (516) has posed:
"I was concerned for my people, so I went along with it, but we had a very charismatic leader, I believed him, still do, we just had a big problem, unfortunately," Ferham sighed a little, looking back to Anivia. She really didn't talk about the events back on her homeworld so much, this was a rare time. She didn't trot the sobstory out as much as one might think. She gave another dismissive shrug. "I thought I was right, but maybe our methods needed some work," she dangled her legs a little, those heeled feet and legs likely looking quite gorgeous to someone below, should they happen to have a telescope or the like.

"After that I escaped, and wound up here, many other people did too, I've seen some more of my kind around, in the union and confederacy, Reploids, I mean," she nodded. "Some in the union, but I haven't been able to meet them, not that they'd likely enjoy my company, but..." she smiled.

Anivia (61) has posed:
There was something about the Cryophoenix's general understanding nature that loosened even the tightest of lips. People needed to vent, simple as that, and a Phoenix was one of the Multiverse's greatest secret keepers. Anivia simply nods as she listens to Ferham's tale, hearing many others like it... but this one was unique somehow.

"Well the Multiverse is full of new beginnings; we choose how and where we live our lives now." The Cryophoenix looks at Ferham's eyes, giving her the best 'smile' that a Phoenix could muster, "As one bird to another, I think we've roosted on this spot too long." she chuckles, standing up and lifting her crystal tail-feathers, showing a nice coat of frost where the Phoenix was sitting.

"We've talked about some bad parts of this city's history, but lets see what else we can see." The bird says with a small nod of her beak, then with a flap of her crystal wings she leaps from her perch and begins to soar over the skyline again.

The Cryophoenix was still in a bit of an adventurous mood one might say.

Ferham (516) has posed:
Ferham had no idea if the cryophoenix was some kind of passive calming or loquacious effect, what she did realize was that the bird seemed sagely to say the least, definitely someone that seemed to be able to keep things to herself.

"I agree, the only fate we have now is what we make of it, I suppose," she nodded, drawing her legs up and pushed herself up from a squat. Her wings swivelled about then slid out from behind her back, her knees bending.

"Lets go then, maybe I can show you a few things," she nodded and simply stepped off the ledge and let herself fall, her wings flaring out as her flight system kicked on and begin to carry her after the Cryophoenix, off into the night.
