Profile

A proud Martian, Leyanne looks similar to 'anthropomorphic' mice, like to those you'd find on some variations of Earth -- though her green antennae and 7ft6" height detract from the classic image of a mouse. An eternal optimist even after the war she's been through, Leyanne really believes that she can free her home, and hates repression in all its forms. Blown up during a battle on Mars, she has been extensively rebuilt with cybernetic parts, including but not limited to her left arm and left eye; as a result, electrical-based attacks aren't her favourite. Quick to anger, especially if innocents are threatened, Leyanne will often empty her 44 Magnum revolver at those who anger her before following up with her powerful left arm.

DISADVANTAGES, CLICK TO EXPAND

Dammit, I'm Out: Leyanne's RD-44 only carries nine shots, leading to frequent reloading.

EMP: As a cyborg, lightning-based weaponry and electromagnetic pulses are dangerous to her. They won't kill her, but she'll definitely be hindered.

Not The Bike: Leyanne is very protective of her motorcycle. If it is stolen, she will do -anything- to get it back.

Antennae: Her antennae are sensitive to damage. She'll protect them as best she can if they're hurt, and damage to them will affect her senses; until they heal, her senses of smell and healing will be below average, and she'll lose the ability to sense wind currents. Things will also taste wrong until the damaged antenna(e) recover.

Quick Temper: Leyanne is quick to anger, especially if an innocent or Mars is threatened. It's quite hard to calm down a cyborg with what amounts to a jackhammer for a left arm...

Battleworn: Leyanne suffers from severe PTSD following the destruction of Annu. She occasionally has bouts of nightmares that affect her sleep and cause her to be more stressed out, and more prone to abuse certain substances.

Pushing Her Luck: The inner voice that tells Leyanne something is a stupid idea is a bit slow, usually happening about five seconds too late. She pushes her luck almost constantly. Sooner or later, it's going to bite her on the ass. When Leyanne does something crazy, there's a 25% chance of it all going wrong...

Abrasive: Leyanne Mace isn't the easiest person to get along with. Highly opinionated and not afraid to voice it, cocky, loud and brash, with an opinion about anything and everything - no matter how little she knows about the subject, Leyanne sometimes rubs people up the wrong way. Coupled with that an innate inability to know when she should shut up, it's a wonder Leyanne hasn't gotten herself killed by now. Her instructors in Martian Freedom Force Boot Camp wonder still to this day how Cadet Mace ever made it to the rank of Gunnery Sergeant, even in a Moto-Cavalry regiment...

Heavy Metal: With all of her cybernetics, Leyanne weighs a lot more than she should, massing just shy of 450lb. This can lead to issues with vehicles and soft ground. It also makes clearing check-in exceedingly difficult.

Feedback: Leyanne's datajack is a two-way data transfer system -- bursts of electric current or malicious data could be sent down it, directly into her central nervous system.

  • Scar of the World-Slayer: A mark laid on all of those who participated in the Union's campaign to kill the Confederate Emperor, Viridian Sunrise, in the year A.U. 20. Though successful, the campaign resulted in the destruction of his inner universe and the countless beings within it. The mark takes the form of a sun-shaped birthmark on the bodies of each of those who were present that day.
Though not necessarily readily visible, it cannot be removed even if the individual should be obliterated and regenerated from component materials. It imposes upon the bearer a complete knowledge of every entity who died in the Union's crusade, from enemy soldiers down to newborn babes. Those who bear this mark will remember them always, from their names, to their faces, to their lives up to their deaths. This does not provide an opportunity to learn the skills of the deceased, though it does give the bearer an insight into the world and universe of Annu.
