A level-headed woman, calm and collected, and with a sympathetic ear for the troubles of others, Nagato has proven herself a natural-born leader who takes her subordinate's failings as faults upon herself. Though initially a member of the Abyssal Navy, she now pities their existence and seeks to liberate them -- one way or another. A member of the Big Seven, one of a group of warships with large 41 centimeter guns, Nagato leads her fleet from the front with her impressive firepower while shielding smaller vessels with armor that is not just for show. She also commands a small group of Fleet Daughters who report directly under her, the Northern Force. |Powers=Fleet Daughter: Nagato is one of the Fleet Daughters, a spirit of a sunken vessel given a physical form. She is capable of taking on armor and armaments that are fitting to those of old war ships such as turrets, torpedoes, and the like, and in addition, she is a lot tougher than a normal human being, capable of taking on direct hits from shells that would tear apart normal people. She is also capable of 'skating' upon the water, using armored boots with turbines upon the heel. |Skills= |Assets=Land Kit: This kit is one that Nagato uses on land, or on the water when she doesn't need the full bear of the warship she can call upon. Calling this kit, Nagato's body is armored and armed with weaponry resembling that of her ship-self, including the four main turrets and various smaller turrets on the armor, with their positioning enabling full-on four turret strikes. This kit's best used on land; however, it is capable of allowing Nagato to 'skate' on the surface of any body of water at a fast rate of speed. Ocean Kit: When Nagato needs to, or if the situation is dire, Nagato can call upon her former body and manifest the entirety of the Nagato-class Battleship into reality around her. She does have to be careful with this, as the emergence of the full ship can be quite destructive. This Ocean kit becomes her entire body, and all of her senses are heightened as if the ship had a full crew stationed on her, which also includes radar control. Her physical being is still on board, hidden away in a compartment and in an unconscious state as she controls the full ship. In addition to utilizing all the shipboard weaponry and navigational tools, she's capable of fighting larger foes than would be possible in her Land Kit. While she can do this anywhere, if she does this while on land, she will be unable to move until she shifts back. Also, as expected, she becomes quite large and easier for smaller foes to fight her. This kit is the answer to the Abyssal Navy's Goliath forms. Hikari Sea Port: The Hikari Sea Port in Japan is the Fleet Daughters' main base where Nagato and the rest of the crew rest, relax, and plan their next sortie. This place is equipped with everything that's needed for the Fleet Daughters, including repair stations, refueling and rearming docks, radars, and its own coastal defense system. Modified Equipment: The Hikari Sea Port additionally has modified equipment for non-Fleet Daughters to use. See +theme/powers Kantai Collection - 1 for the entry and +info Nagato/Equipment for the Equipment List. |NPCs=Northern Force Fleet: This is Nagato's personal fleet unit. It consists of other Fleet Daughters in the form of two destroyers, a light cruiser, a heavy cruiser, and a light aircraft carrier. While they can sortie without Nagato, if the entire fleet is together, their teamwork makes the fleet stronger than the sum of its parts. (When the entire fleet is together with Nagato, they are PL 34.) Destroyers: Nagato is capable of commanding any of the destroyers out in the field for scene use only. They're capable of quick hit-and-run strikes, but are lightly-armed and armored. They're intended to assist with anti-air and anti-submarine attacks, and their best anti-ship weapons are their torpedoes. (Destroyer PL 28) Light Cruiser: Nagato is capable of commanding any of the light cruisers available out into the field for scene use only. They're best for Anti-ship Capabilities and some are armed with Type 93 "Long Lance" Oxygen Torpedoes. (PL 30) Heavy Cruiser: Atago, an anti-ship heavy cruiser and Nagato's personal secretary. Her 20.3cm twin gun mounts are more suited for shelling heavier targets from a long distance, and her specialized recon seaplanes let her scout out the fields ahead. (Atago is PL 32.) Light Aircraft Carrier: Ryuujou, an aircraft specialist. Stocked to the brim with various types of planes, she can equip herself to carry torpedo bombers, dive bombers, fighters and scout planes. (Ryuujou is PL 30.) Akashi: While not part of Nagato's personal fleet, Akashi is the Repair Ship for Hikari Sea Port. Tasked with repairing and upgrading the equipment for the girls, she's also responsible for the Modified Equipment for the Non-Fleet Daughters. (Non Combat NPC) Fleet: Aside from the immediate Northern Force Fleet, Nagato has command over the entire base's fleet and will send them off to assist the other Fleet Daughters as needed, primarily to provide supporting fire if needed. The girls under Nagato's command range from Submarines to Battleships with the majority being Destroyers and Cruisers. (NPC's range from 26-32, scene use only, no major radio contact) |Disadvantages=Abyssal Heritage: Nagato, before her rise as a flagship for the Fleet Daughters, used to be an Abyssal Ru-class Flagship. She still has the knowledge and the memories of that part of her life, and it is something she regrets. Those who find this out can exploit it to their benefit, turning her reputation or making people doubt her. Mother Matron: Nagato and her compatriot Musashi are responsible for the Fleet Daughters, and everything the Fleet Daughters do is reflected back upon the pair, good or bad. As a result, Nagato strives to make the fleet better, even if she has to field herself with them. Additionally, she'll throw herself in harm's way to protect those she considers under her care. Returning her fleet to port undamaged is another mark of strong leadership that she strives toward. Divided We Fall: Nagato's personal fleet acts most effectively as a unified team. If one member is isolated or exclusively targeted, they can be neutralized with relative ease, and each member so affected significantly reduces the overall power of the team as a whole. Divide-and-conquer tactics can reduce this powerful unit to a collection of weak individuals if not countered swiftly and decisively. Repair Times: As expected when she, or the other Fleet Daughters, are fighting, they'll get damaged. This damage, however, isn't normally reparable by magic or medicine. She has to return to the Hikari Sea Port and take in specially prepared oils and minerals to repair the damage to herself and her equipment due to the unique way the Daughters are.
