Expedition 1-1
Date of Scene: 09 December 2015
Location: Great Ocean - Southern Loop
Synopsis: A simple expedition goes to finding an Abyssal supply line holding a carrier...
Cast of Characters: Kotone Yamakawa, 367, Wo, 637, Nagato, Shigure, 901

Nagato has posed:
Early afternoon at Hikari Seaport, the base is bustling with various girls doing maintenance on the base, cleaning and even going on sorties of their own. Today is one such day of a sortie, the last major one for the day and an easy one so the Admiral thinks for the budding Flagship and the new Destroyer Division she created. Nagato stands behind the launch pads of the bay, her stoic face looking out towards the ocean before her. The breeze is nice today as well, the waves are light and the sun is in the right spot to keep out of the eyes of the daughters.

Atago's smiling face strolls up to the bay and dutifly stands behind the second launch pad. "Secretary Ship Atago, reporting!" she states with cheer, looking beside her at Akizuki then a look towards Hoshi and Naikui, "It's a small expedition fleet, you girls will be fine. Just focus and work on finding the resource points so we can have Hibiki, Akizuki, and the girls come with Kotone to get the materials."

Nagato keeps her stoic silence, looking at the girls with a nod. "Alright. Destroyer Division Ten... LAUNCH!"

Na`Sabal-Une Fang (367) has posed:
Early morning, Nasa had been briefly distracted by a certain thing that had happened. She had actually shown up late to the port, but not /too/ late, thankfully! Just in time to still join the expedition, and slip into her slot. She flashes a smile towards Atago at her comment, though doesn't immediately comment. Seemed there was something on her mind, though beyond her relative silence, she might not show it.

"Secret Destroyer Naikui, Launching." Naikui says, stepping forward onto the launch button, which begins to rapidly equip her with her gear, and then launches her out onto the water, where she goes up to relatively decent speed quickly enough, though she keeps slow enough for everyone else to keep up, easily.

Hoshi Amakasu (901) has posed:
As soon as Nagato had called the alert, Hoshi had made her way to the docks, all dressed up in her spiffy new Fleet Daughter uniform, waving and saying hello to some of the girls as she went along. So far, everyone had been very accepting of her, and she was grinning cheerfully when she broke past the girls to enter the dock and settle next to her launch pad. "Man, and it's a perfect day today, too." Hoshi chuckles. "I"m here, Admiral!"

Atago gets another smile and a bow. "Good afternoon, Ms. Atago. No worries, we'll find the stuff." Probably. She assumed they'd tell them what to do after they went out.

When she spots Nasa, Hoshi grins and waves cheerfully. "Hey Ms. Sabune. So, good news. We found out Rosamond can fly, so I'm not totally screwed. Lucky, huh?"

After doing some stretches, Hoshi hops onto the pad. "Secret Destroyer Amakasu, launching!" She eases into the setup a lot more quickly this time, and is soon zooming out after Nasa, letting out a cheerful "Woohoo!" She picks up speed for a bit, looking like she's trying to overtake her fleetmate before she slows down, grinning. "I--whoa!-- Am so glad I've been doing extra practice right now. This is a lot more fun than the first time."

Wo has posed:
Elsewhere, it is also a busy day for the Abyssal fleet, on their own expedition of sorts. Iron Bottom Sound does not simply keep itself stocked, either -- it is an active effort. Having located a wreck of worth, a light aircraft carrier that had been resting on the sea floor, the Abyssal fleet had gone to work on the effort. Normally, they would cut it into pieces for easier transport, but this one was still somehow intact enough to carry home whole, which would cut down greatly on the number of trips necessary. It simply required a bit of creativity.

The Abyssal submarines on the scene dive amidst the wreckage; weathered and covered in colonizing corals and other sea fauna, but remarkably preserved to the eye. They switch on their lamps, cutting through at least some of the murk, and deploy something specially cooked up for this kind of operation. They look vaguely like late model destroyers, with their greyish bodies and stubby limbs, but are much smaller and have less armor plating. The creatures attach to the wreckage at points along the inner framework, and then begin to rapidly and grotesquely inflate their bodies. With growing buoyancy, the wreck gives metallic creaks, almost as if in pain from being awakened, before the silt and sand of decades gives way to it beginning to rise toward the surface.

Watching, closeby on the surface to the suddenly bubbling froth, is a Tsu-class light cruiser. Almost entirely humanoid, except her head that looks to be little more than a black, metallic helmet atop her neck, she stands a stoic figure, as several I-class and Ro-class destroyers -- the familiar whale-like beings -- gurgle and buzz excitedly between each other. If one ignores the forms they take, they behave almost like schoolchildren at a museum during a field trip, chattering between each other about an active exhibit. Also on standby, several Wa-class transports, bloated beings that appear bolted to an oblate spheroid of a body, and given similar 'helmet head' treatment as the Tsu-class.

Finally, the wreckage breaks the surface, and the Wa-class open hatches in their frames to fire tow cables. It will slow down the expedition, but this wealth of material will be worth the risk. The Tsu-class radios back to headquarters about the operation continuing as planned, but to any outside observers, including a few human(oid) Confederate contractors that board the wreck, she's not making any intelligible speech. "What do you think they want with this?" "Don't know. I've heard they eat it. Or something." "Guess I've heard of weirder... Hey guys, check it out! I found a sealed box of vintage Playboys!"

With this, the Abyssal expedition is once again, ponderously, underway.

Kotone Yamakawa has posed:
The Bluenose is the largest thing out here the space ship is operating well enough planet side with Kotone at the helm and Slipbolt's somewhere in the engineering room at the moment. IT wasn't expect to be too serious of a run ands she was getting some over due maintance done at the time. Her ship would wait and fall in after the special destroyers it was also interesting to be watching them skate across the water for lack of better term for it.

She kept the ship close to the water but no so close she'd cause wake that would make the destroyer's lives harder, maybe later for addtional training if the Admiral asked for it. For now way they go to sea.

"Bluenose moving into formation."

Kongou (637) has posed:
    "Destroyer Akizuki, ready to go!"

Pad Four lights up as the girl steps out onto it, automated arms affixing the equipment to her feet and ankles. Pushing off, she accellerates while summoning forth her equipment, the cruiser-like armor and machinery materializing around her hips and waist. Shifting feet as she moves, the two turret-rabbit Choujuucentihou-chans motor up beside her on either side, then jump one by one. She neatly catches the first and drops it into its holder, than the other. As she skates across the water and out into the harbor, she pats the two of them on their heads, "Let's do well, today~!"

Speeding out of the harbor and into the open sea, she raises her arms and makes a circling motion, while simultaneously dropping her speed. "Amakasu, Naikui, Atago-- Let's round up into a wide-spaced Line formation before we enter the search area!"

Nagato has posed:
"Heavy Cruiser Atago~ PAN PAKA PAAN~"

Pad two lights up as Atago steps on it, the same arms affix equipment onto her own feet and ankles. When she pushes off, it's with a rush as her equipment coalesces around her hips to join with the rest of the expedition fleet. With a twirl, she moves into the formation as requested, a nod, "Understood, Flagship~" she replies to the order, "Let's do our best, shall we?" Atago moves up between the two new destroyers to join formation properly and a smile is given to both.

Nagato leans back against the wall, nodding. Mutsu and Musashi move in to join her, a smile gracing two of the three Battleship's faces. "Yes, I know this is risky, but Ooyodo's intelligence can't be wrong."

Na`Sabal-Une Fang (367) has posed:
Naikui waves back towards Hoshi with a small smile in return, "Would never have been totally screwed, is easy enough to find ways to get around things, yes." Naikui says towards Hoshi as she catches her proper balance after being launched out of the launchpad. She shifts slightly, moving to turn and get into formation with Atago once she was on the waters, shifting her equipments lightly. Let's see. Okay. Neenee, Hiera, and Mimi were still with her. Good. Familiar faeries.

The orders for a line formation gets a simple acknowledging nod, as Nasa shifts into that wide-spaced LIne Formation, her gaze shifting left and right to keep an eye on thing as they begin to move on. ...P...pan... paka...paan... what? Nasa gives Atago a bit of a look, her ears twitching thoughtfully underneath her illusion. "...Yes. Let's do our best." Naikui says, giving a small nod as she looks ahead, leaning down as her knees press together to keep a steady speed forward.

Wo has posed:
Messages continue to be relayed back to headquarters, by the Abyssal fleet. (So -- it worked. Good...bring her - back.) The Tsu-class buzzes to someone unseen, in response. (Short-cut? ...that's close - to 'their' op-erations area. Are you...cer-tain?) Somehow, the gurgles ringing hauntingly from inside the metallic 'helmet' of the cruiser sound convinced, and affirmative. (O-kay. Be a-lert.) The humanoid figure with the enormous, gloved arms and hands appears to glance back over her shoulder. The destroyers are chattering between each other, in a manner that could almost be called cheerful and sociable. Even the Wa-class seem to be in good spirits, despite dragging a hulk in the water behind them that seems like it should almost be impossible for them to move. Ship magic at its finest.

Once they're done slacking off, the contractors aboard get to work on their end of things. Their work can be followed easily, just based on what they discuss between each other: "You really think there's anything worth taking off this rust bucket? I know we got the 'fine materials' salvage rights when we signed up, but..." "Don't think in terms of technological value. There's probably some fine museum pieces in here. If not, there's always the auction sites." Closeby, one of the other crewmen crowbars open the seized door to the captain's quarters, and braces as though expecting a flood of stagnant sea water, or worse. Instead, stale but breathable air is released, and a sealed compartment with the skeleton of the captain that went down with his ship, still clutching a bottle of brandy. "Huh, thought that whole thing was just fairy tales."

Under decks, a few more of them make their way to the engine room. They didn't expect to be able to work miracles down here, and the condition of the machinery reinforces the notion. Instead, they just get to work installing some pumps, and trying very hard to ignore the smell, and those weird, inflated gas bag things that are currently keeping it afloat. Oh god, are those TEETH? "The guys back at the warehouse aren't going to believe this," comes the voice of one, through a filtered breather mask. "You must be new to working with Feds," comes the older and more veteran, that gets to work trying to hammer free some of the oxidation from the works, before giving up on how much of an effort it would take, and just getting to work on the pumps. Then they can relax, like the ones top side.

Things continue peacefully like this, as the Abyssal expedition and salvage fleet makes a slight change in their course. Normally, they avoid getting close to fleet daughter operations territory with supply runs, but with this added load it's time to gamble. It's a matter of potentially shaving days off the return trip. Meanwhile, the light aircraft carrier's hull would make for a gigantic blip on any long range radar -- another unfortunate factor of their current cargo.

Hoshi Amakasu (901) has posed:
Hoshi's quick to offer her big grin to Atago and Akizuki as they come out to join them. "Of course we'll do our best. Was it ever in question? We'll be under your care, Ms. Akizuki." She gives Nasa a thumbs-up as the order to make formation comes through, quickly zooming over to take her place in the line. "Quick question, though. How are we supposed to be able to tell where the stuff is? I'm not sure we covered that."

Speaking of which... She looks down guiltily at her fairies that were still affectionately named '1, 2, 3'. They look back at her expantantly "Uh... Crap. Okay, listen. I'm really bad at coming up with nicknames. I'm sorry. So from now on..." She indicates one. "You! Are Heihachi." Two, "You! Are Kambei." Three, "And you! Are Kyuzo. We're doing this." And so she went on with a big dumb smile on her face.

Kotone Yamakawa has posed:
Kotone Yamakawa gets the ship's scanners on but it's better suited for deep space, still it should be something though she suspects the Fleet will be having better luck at long range either way she heads outl. Though she pauses to turn on some music and of all things the Wreck of the Edmund Fitzgerald comes up on the play list as the ship tails after the Destroyers.

"Copyt ht."

She'l fall into formation and does best to not get in the way.

"You seem to be doing pretty well so far, and big dumb smiles on your faces?"

She's still unaare of the Abnyssals for the moment so she's pretty relaxed this is a nice change from the things she often ends up involved in, or her personal family problems.

"Still all of you seem to be doing good so far."

Na`Sabal-Une Fang (367) has posed:
Off in the distance, there was ... something? Naikui's eyes narrow slightly as she scans the area ahead of them, her fingers shifting a bit. Her ears twitch again, listening to that 'Pan paka paan' over the radio. ...What. What was she seeing and what on earth was she hearing, too? She wrinkles her nose a bit thoughtfully. Hmmm. "...Naikui sees something odd." She says, sharp eyes having picked up on that barnacle and mud and ... gas-filled abyssal-covered boat.

That was ... that was something. And Nasa had no idea /what/ it was. But it didn't look right. Naikui shifts her gaze around thoughtfully, then focuses back on that fucked up ship. That's... too damaged to even float, and she couldn't hear the loud rumbling that its engines should have been making.

Comments on picking up on the radar, Naikui began to relay the information she could glean. She shifts slightly, her gaze shifting towards Akizuki and Atago, waiting for orders. She was already beginning to murmur orders under her breath to her faeries though, which were beginning to turn and adjust.

Kongou (637) has posed:
Turning in place, Akizuki shifts to skating backwards, eyes wandering across the formation gathering behind her with a pleased little smile on her face, "Hmm~. You guys are looking good! Looks like you're getting used to it--" Something pings and her eyes widen in surprise. Swiftly, she turns around again, raising a hand to shade her eyes as she peers across the horizon, "Hnn..? I picked up a big contact out there." Her head tilts as Naikui and Kotone provide their inputs from more honed senses and detailed sensors.

"A ship that shouldn't be afloat, hnn..." A hand raises and she makes a gesture, "Shift to a defensive formation, double line! Atago please match speeds on my port side. Amakasu, Naikui, follow behind at ten meters." The AA director on her headband rotates, mirroring the motions of her twin turrets, "We're investigating this more closely. Please keep your eyes forward and sound off if you see anything else unusual!"

Hoshi Amakasu (901) has posed:
At first, Hoshi's all smiles as she zips along the waves, cruising along without any problems. Just a simple sortie. Even the live weapons that are strapped to her aren't making her feel uncomfortable. Good times come to an end, however, when Akizuki gets a ping on her radar, and Nasa confirms. Quietly to herself, she mutters grimly. "Of course there's a problem."

Hoshi pauses to listen very closely to the radio and Akizuki's instructions, her lips set into a grim, thin line. "Falling back, ten meters. Ms. Sabune, in case we need to fight, do you think you can cover my Persona somehow? We're supposed to be kept a secret..." She cuts her speed to let the others get ahead of her, then brings herself back up to cruising speed. To her fairies, she whispers, "Guys? Be ready. Also I'm probably going to be terrified." Well, that's a bit grim, but at least her guns are cycling and ready.

Nagato has posed:
"Mmm.." Atago sounds off, looking between the two new destroyers though, a bit more focused on Naikui. "I have to wonder how you see that far but." the order is given and Atago slows and shifts position to the left of Akizuki, "Amakasu, behind me please. Match speeds." Atago's ears get a noise in them, sensing the radar contact. "Mmm, it's large, that's all I can see from my radar." she comments. Then listening to Naikui and Kotone's confirmations, Atago's turrets get into position. "Atago's ready~"

A ship that is too damaged to float, huh? Atago thinks a moment, there's many that could happen to fit that description. Though, hearing Hoshi's words, "Amakasu~, focus like the Admiral said and Akizuki recommended back at training. A focused mind is a good mind. Keep that in mind and this sortie will be easier." she gives that happy smile she normally gives, "And once we're done, we'll have a nice bath in the docks and then we'll go to Mamiya's after this~!"

Wo has posed:
The Abyssals sadly don't have as sharp eyes or advanced sensor suites, as the fleet daughters do, in this situation. The Tsu-class does get a slightly 'off' feeling, but she quickly dismisses it as entering what is quietly recognized as enemy held territory. They would do what needed to be done here, and then leave, hopefully without being seen. As Abyssals are being of emotion, the destroyers following in her wake momentarily seem to get that same edge of unsettling to their chatter. Even once those sorts of feelings calm down within their flagship, they remain subtly on edge, every so often pivoting and turning in the water to slide sideways through it, as if to better watch their flanks. For the moment, however, things remain peaceful, and they are completely unaware that their wreck has already been seen.

Aboard the hulk, one of the contractors scans the horizon with a pair of binoculars. It's boring work, most of the time, but knowing that they're entering into this place makes it a bit more worth taking better than a cursory glance. Perhaps the unease of the Abyssal destroyers has managed to spread to them, as well. "Heh, they look weird, but they really are kids," remarks another veteran of these kinds of operations, whom had climbed what remains of the island to try to get what's left of the radio and radar array working. After some tinkering, and connecting it to a portable power supply, he amazingly gets some of it up and running and returning information. That is, after some initial squeaks and grinding sounds of resistance. "Wow, it works. Some people collect stuff like this...hmm?"

A female contractor that had climbed up, one of their security members, judging by the long range rifle across her back, glances over his shoulder. "What's the matter with your gizmo there?" "Thought it was a glitch in the system, which you'd expect. But I think this radar hit is real. No, radar hits." He picks up his radio and calls down, "Hey Alex. Get eyes on this contact." The guy with binoculars boredly scans again, expecting to see some floating garbage. Instead, he sees some kind of space ship, and some smaller figures among them. "...man, aliens? I don't know, but there is something out there. Guess we'd better tell the weird ship ladies." The man up on the island has apparently gotten some of the warning klaxons working, as well, from the sudden sound. "Cripes! Couldn't he have skipped that?"

Sensing the shift in situation, the Abyssal light cruiser and destroyers also move, fanning out into a line abreast, across and in front of the more vulnerable Wa-class. While there is the audible loading of guns, aside from the siren, they grow strangely quiet. Perhaps they're hoping that it was a false alarm, just as that shrinking hope is fading from the fleet daughters and their allies.

Na`Sabal-Une Fang (367) has posed:
Naikui slows briefly as ordered, moving behind Atago to stop ten meters behind her, her ears perked underneath her illusion to listen attentively, while her sharp eyes stay focused on that wreck ahead of her, a mild glow beginning to form as she squints against the light. A part of her wanted to make clouds blow in just to reduce the sun's brightness. Ugh. She could get more detail if not for the evil daystar.

Atago's comment gets a slight shift of Naikui's eyes, smiling slightly. "It is a blessing on elves and Drow, have stronger and longer vision than human average. Uhm... is honestly probably more magic than anything. But just uhm. Imagine that has binoculars that have less issues focusing on close things at all times." Naikui says by way of as best of an explanation oas she could make.

Hoshi is given a simple nod from Naikui. "Yes, of course. If we need to fall back on powers, then it will be hidden." Naikui gives a small nod. "Focus on using guns and torpedos for now though, yes. We will be supporting Akizuki and Atago."

Sirens? There's some sort of warning siren. Naikui shifts slightly in her movement, her gaze sweeping roughly towards the source of it. "...Sirens." Naikui says softly. "...From that direction." She says, lifting her hands to point at the rough direction that the sirens were coming from. Likely the others could hear it as well, probably. And she'd make use of her hearing before she had to pull on her headset and have her hearing reduced. "...We have probably been spotted."

Nagato has posed:
Atago says, "Well that's very useful. Glad to have you part of the fleet, Naikui." she smiles a bit more and then focuses back forward, giving a brief nod. Contacts... and now sirens. "So much for a peaceful expedition." she give a brief, smiling shrug and readies herself. The audible loading of her guns echoes around the small fleet and are aimed towards the direction that Naikui points out. "Mm, how it would be nice for it to be not so bright."

She looks towards Akizuki and smiles, "Orders, Flagship?" the heavy cruiser is a bit anxious, mainly because she's got three destroyers to keep protected as that's what Nagato would do. Plus, a bath later would be nice too.

Hoshi Amakasu (901) has posed:
Hoshi gives a grateful nod when Sabune helps to ease her mind, somewhat. At least if there was a fight, there was a chance for her to use her Persona if things got particularly hairy. "Thanks, Ms. Sabune. Don't worry, I'll keep her back unless things get crazy." That being said, she digs into her uniform to pull out her locket. Just in case.

Glancing over toAtago, Hoshi nods, though her expression is still stricken for a few moments as she forced herself to take a couple deep breaths. In... out. Focused. Deep in her mind, she embraces the feeling of her Persona to help strengthen her.

Sadly, Hoshi doesn't have radar or elf-eyes to be able to see this anomaly that they're coming up against. She can still hear the klaxon go off, though. A deep frown comes to her face. "Here we go," she mutters. "The moment you want me to go out, tell me. I have a bad feeling about this."

Kotone Yamakawa has posed:
The Bluenose has it's name painted on the hull thankfully in English for wha tit's worht but Kotone's never been thought of as aliens before. Not that she's aware of it, the music list contiune ever on for the moment. She's getting a look at the hulk on the scanners it does look like it might be a salvage job of some sort? But who would be out here that's a serious question. The truth of what's going on is rapidly answered for her.

"Slipbolt get uo to the bridge we may have some trouble."

Kotone's not yet about to arm weapons but she does want her crewmate up here should things go bad.

"You ain't the only one whose a bit wary. The odds of us running into someone else out here were suposed to be pretty low. Still if they need help we have to respond."

Kongou (637) has posed:
"It could be safe," Akizuki says, "Or it could be dangerous. That's why we're going to be very careful approaching this unknown vessel." She raises an arm and gestures, then leans into a turn to present her left side to the distant warship, approaching at a sharp angle with a moderate speed for a destroyer-- simple enough for Hoshi and Nasa to keep pace with, and also easy for Atago to match.

As the four draw closer, she raises a hand to shield her eyes from the sun again, examining the ship in closer detail. Of course it's banged up. As described, it probably shouldn't be afloat, but something strikes her as 'off'. Leaning a bit, she asks, "Atago, does it look like this ship returned from the grave, to you..?" All the rust, the corals and barnacles she can make out on the sides. The errant crab scuttling up a corroded anchor chain with no anchor left on it.

Kind of like a zombie, isn't it? The destroyer shudders subconsciously, her twin-faced turrets swinging towards the ship. Sighting it more closely, she starts, then leans forward a bit, "...Shinkaisei-kan. Atago, at the bow. Six of them. Do you see them?" Her voice now much more tense, she mutters through close-band radio this time, "Amakasu, Naikui, we've encountered the enemy. One unit at the bow. The men on board are probably with them. This ship was on the seafloor until recently. I'd like to drive them off and let her rest again, but only if you three are all on board with that."

Wo has posed:
(What's -- going on? Is it...them?) To the unheard voice, the Tsu-class at the center of their formation gurgles uncertainly, the unease continuing to rattle the destroyers in her care, which only moments earlier seemed so carefree. (Un-derstood. Fire...only if, ne-cessary.) Back at the Abyssal headquarters for this expedition, the Wo-class monitoring the situation could not know whether it was a hunting party, a coincidence, or even just some nosey civilian traffic. Yet, like the other side, they would exhibit caution. The warning sirens from the derelict-looking vessel eventually subside, instead replaced by an uneasy silence, as it as well as its guardians continue on their course at the best, even speed the Wa-class stringing it along can muster. Perhaps if they 'appear' adrift, they're less likely to be bothered.

The human contractors aboard nonetheless take defensive positions. The twisted wreck actually affords a lot of cover and vantage points, from the mangled parts of the deck to what remains of the island. What had been the deck's elevators are completely rotted and rusted away, as becomes obvious while it continues to come into ever easier view, but more than airplanes can take shelter within that space. It also becomes apparent, to more than Na'sa's eyes and as Akizuki reckons, that it's more than just wrecked, but thoroughly weathered, as well as covered in epic rustcicles and myrid sea life. It's likely been raised from the bottom, and by the crew that can be seen about it. That certainly isn't all, though. The glowing lamps that form the destroyers' eyes become apparent, as well as the reddish halo around the Tsu-class, and a golden one around the largest of the streamlined vessels.

As if somehow sensing the intention to take their prize find away, and now that they've confirmed the presence of at last one known fleet daughter, the nervously readied weapons are levelled in the direction of the approaching fleet. One hefty arm of the Tsu-class raises, in warning, as the jaws of the destroyers hinge open to expose their internal turret. If it weren't for the request of their leader to only fire in self defense, the Destroyers would already eagerly begin shelling. Instead, the restlessness in the air is absolutely thick. "What do you think they're going to do," one of the humans aboard wonders, hunkered beneath a plank opposite a fellow? "They're probably Union. What do you expect? This thing's going to have a few more holes, soon."

Nagato has posed:
Atago folows the turn quite easily, keeping the speed and angle. Her own turrets turning towards the ship, and that normally happy face starts frowning. "It does. Something raised it. Poor thing, disturbed from its rest." she shakes her head and leans, "Eh, Shinkaisei-kan? Here? In Union territory?" humph, "Well, there's only one way to fix this, you know. I'm on board with driving them off to let the poor carrier rest. I'll follow your lead, Akizuki."

She stares a bit at the ship... men on board... "Confederate men?" she questions, shaking her head, "Well, we can't let them rest with the ship. I'll have Shigure and Nowaki come to help gather them and send them off." she gives a nod, "Ready when you are, Akizuki."

Hoshi Amakasu (901) has posed:
Coming closer, Hoshi was finally able to get a better look at the wreck in the distance. A small shiver runs through her. A ghost ship, floating out in the ocean, and only a few teenaged-looking girls were there to find it. This was the perfect setup for a bad horror movie that she would've heard about from one of her club members. Slowly, her teeth start to grit. Under her breath, she mutters, "I won't run. Guns don't stop me. I can do it." She chants this to herself as they start to come on approach.

Up close... the destruction wrought on this ship by the ocean is clear and extensive. "Jeez... How long has it been under?..." This train of thought is immediately cut when enemies are mentioned. "I guess we can't really save her and bring her back, huh?... Let's do it. I'll follow after you, Akizuki." She gets down a little lower, and starts to slowly clench and unclench her fists. Waiting for the moment.... Waiting.

Na`Sabal-Une Fang (367) has posed:
"It will be okay." Naikui says reassuringly towards Hoshi, as she continues to move in formation, calm, relatively quiet as she keeps an eye on the situation as best as she could. She shifts her ears slightly at the mention of Hoshi having a bad feeling got a very slight smile. "Is fairly certain that feeling is right."

And then... Akizuki confirms that they had made contact with the enemy, Naikui listens curiously to her, before giving a small nod towards her. "...Why let her sink back to the depths? That sounds sad." Naikui asks curiously towards Akizuki, her head shifting thoughtfully. "...It does not sound like a proper burial, to just sit in the depths, being eaten away at by the sea."

Glowing lamps of the destroyers' eyes, and... red, glowing halos... and a golden halo? Naikui's head tilts slightly, her eyes glowing faintly as well as she watches the groups. Hmmm. Well, at least they were easy to spot for now. And... there were turrets readying, aiming. They seemed restless, but they weren't immediately attacking. "...They are watching us. I am unsure they want to fight. I think they are trying to see what we will do."

Naikui gives a soft exhale. "...Either way, Naikui will follow you." She says, her hands lifting to shift her 'radio headset' into place, but honestly it was mostly to keep her sensitive ears safe from the cannonfire that was going to happen shortly. "Naikui is ready, Neenee and Hiera are both beginning to aim."

Kotone Yamakawa has posed:
Kotone Yamakawa is being carful and does not plan to be out right hostile after all. She has no idea whose there she does track the destroyers. She gets where the destoyers are coming from yet the salvager in her hates laving useful materials behind. She mills about the subject some more but gets really why the Destroyers want to put the ship back to rest. She sees the wya the wind is blowing she hears the plans for the confederate salvage team which she agrees with. No need to deep six more people right? Still it's going to be a fight of it. She brings her shi's guns on line as Slipbolt gets on the bridge and gets to her station. IT does look like it's going to be a fight.

"Doesn't look like they are spoiling for a fight themselves, I have weapons on standby however."

Shigure has posed:
Long Range radar might pick up a pair of small contacts on an intercept course for the two groups. They're not flank speed, but moving pretty fast. Faster than merchant shipping at least. Shigure and Nowaki are travelling line abreast, skating side by side. They call ahead so friendlies know where they are.

Kongou (637) has posed:
"I don't know if you'd understand what this is like," Akizuki replies to Nasa. There's a tense, shrap tone to her voice, "For us this is like digging up someone's grave and making off with the body...!" Her twin bunnyturrets swing outboard, guns elevating, while her back-mounted torpedo launcher swivels on its mount, swinging out and presenting the distinctive crimson caps of the Type 93, but the destroyer's face is pensive and indecisive. After a moment, she swings her launcher back into a rested position and leans into a turn, raising a hand and making a twirling gesture. "All ships, line ahead and hard starboard. This force is more than we can handle."

Glancing aside, she addresses the heavy cruiser alongside her, "Launch one of your seaplanes and shadow them. Instruct her to send all course information to Ooyodo. I want the Flagship to know so she can send a better-prepared fleet to stop them."

Nagato has posed:
Atago smiles, her equipment rotates just a bit, showing off a hidden catapault with a single seaplane mounted on it. Wait, where did that come from? Inside the seaplane is a tiny little fairy who gives a thumbs up and soon, is launched off the rails and into the sky, the prop sound is noisy in the silent air and it takes off towards the direction of the floating wreck, abyssals and other men. "Do your best, show me the intel and relay it to Ooyodo."

A confirmation signal is given by the seaplane fairy as it speeds along the air. o O (That poor ship. Graverobbers, the lot of them! Admiral will want to know this. Definately will want to know this!) runs through the fairies mind and soon, hovers over them. Beeps start flowing in from the fairy to Atago, Ooyodo and Nagato herself... time to see what's going on...

Wo has posed:
Just as was described, the golden aura'd one seems a bit larger than the others; but more than that, where the other destroyers seem to be...are they trembling slightly in the water? Regardless, the one with the golden aura doesn't seem to waver, instead keeping its battery trained and tracking, even as the hulk is towed past the fleet daughters and their allies' formation. The Tsu-class, despite lacking obvious eyes to watch with, nonetheless locks where they might be with each one of the enemy in turn. Even, and especially, those unfamiliar faces in Nasa and Hoshi. It might have been hard to hear over gun fire, but with the unsettling quiet, the buzzing resonating from inside her helmet of a head sounds puzzled. Regardless, as long as the fleet daughters and even that space ship are just watching, whether through their own eyes or through a scout plane, they are content to let it remain at that.

And so, for the moment, the Wa-class order their flank-mounted turbines to hum along that much more, as they will the old girl to move faster toward getting the hell out of Union and fleet daughter jurisidiction. Several of the humans aboard seem to have gathered along the side and then the back of what remains of the flight deck, looks of confusion or disbelief easily visible even to unassisted eyes. "They're really going to just let us go, then?" "Don't blame them. I'm still not sure what anyone would want with this thing. Not worth getting shot over, that's for sure." One of the vets glances skyward at the scout plane, which remains unharassed, perhaps as some kind of accomodation in return for not being attacked for the moment, "I wouldn't say we're out of the woods yet. Look alive, this'll be a rough few hours."

And with that, the expedition and salvage convoy continues making their way toward the border. In the Tsu-class' head, that voice from before...actually gives a sigh of relief, prompting another puzzled gurgle. (No. It's no-thing. Con-tinue on, Tsu-class. If it comes, to it...cut her, loose.)

Hoshi Amakasu (901) has posed:
Then... the time passed. Suddenly, they were turning away from the wreck and the Abyssals that were manipulating it. Slowly, Hoshi's hands unclenched as they moved away, falling into the new formation as they went. "Sorry, miss ship," Hoshi calls out quietly as they left. Even the magical tiny plane doesn't get much of a reaction.

Following close after Akizuki and Atago, Hoshi keeps looking over her shoulder until eventually looking away. "No way we would've been able to do anything without revealing our powers, too," she says mournfully. "I hope Ms. Kuma and the others can get to them. Do you think they'd try to make her another Abyssal, or something?"

Na`Sabal-Une Fang (367) has posed:
So the golden one is the flagship. Naikui's eyes alight upon the golden halo and the abyssal that it was floating above. Naikui had seen abyssals before, briefly, in Boston. And they weren't necessarily always a danger, so far as Naikui had seen. Hmm. Naikui shifted as they moved to line position and began to retreat. As she did though... she lifted a hand to wave towards the abyssals, turning to follow the group.

...What? There was no reason to be /mean/ about it. Besides, they were leaving anyway. Maybe it will help one of them not have as much darkness in their heart! Maybe. Or something. She turns to follow after Akizuki, listening to her as she speaks. "Yes. I was wondering why we would have just let her sink again, instead of taking her back to give her a more proper burial." Naikui responds quietly to Kongou. "If we had done the attack, that is." She shifts slightly, hmming softly as she muses on that. Seaplanes. Shadow them. Okay. A better-prepared fleet would be on the way. Naikui moves to get slightly closer to Atago, working to keep an eye out here and there. Atago was missing her scout plane, so the scout Nasa would stay close to keep sharp eyes on things.

Naikui shifts her gaze towards Hoshi, giving a helpless shrug. "...Likely turn her into resources. That is a lot of steel and possibly even some salvagable fuel or weaponry in it." Naikui responds to Hoshi, thinking a bit. "My powers are easier to mask than yours." She adds quietly.

Nagato has posed:
Atago lets her plane go and joins in formation once more, listening to the destroyers, "They will, and as the Admiral said, you three will be rejoining them after a brief respite." Atago's smile is back and comforting, but when that question is asked by Amakasu... "It's possible. Are they looking to add another carrier to their fleet? The ship was in so much disrepair, I could not get identification markings for it. One more thing to report to the Admiral."

Atago turns her head back... "You'll sleep well once again, once we're done. You're still just a corpse with no soul yet, aren't you dear? Don't worry... we'll be back."

Kotone Yamakawa has posed:
Akizuki makd an excellent point about the , she can't help but shudder a bit given how she's one foot in the world of flesh and one in the world of the machine. She makes ready but she does not attack she knowe unless the order is given she's not going to start fighting she does however start scanning and trying to collect as much information as she can on the abyssal units there and the raised carrier. Maybe she can ID the ship's name and where it's from in time if she's lucky. Then agian it's the multiverse and could take years to sift through alkl the information.

"Given I do salvage jobs at times that could be very much the case. Raw materials are needed, information to be recovered and the like. Still now that you made your point it is raiding a grave isn't it..."

She'll fall in formation with the rest of the formation.
