Synopsis: | Ayako finally comes to commission an outfit! |
Cast of Characters: | Ayako Hasekawa, Tomoyo Daidouji |
- Tomoyo Daidouji has posed:
It's another chilly day in Tomoeda, and Tomoyo is on the second floor of her little store, putting the outfits for her actors into plastic protective bags and hanging them on a rack. "Finally..." she murmurs, giving a tired yawn and stretch. Part of her honestly wants to close early so she can get some rest. But that sign on the door says she closes at 5pm and she will stick to that.
She is a professional after all.
Thus, the Boutique remains open for now, Yamazaki behind the counter, ready to receive any customer that comes by!
- Ayako Hasekawa has posed:
Ayako opens the door to the Boutique and peeks her head inside, with her ribbon and ponytail just barely peeking in as well. "Are you still open? Eh heh... I was hoping to get an outfit made for me..." Her amber eyes make cheerful contact with Yamazaki behind the counter.
- Tomoyo Daidouji has posed:
Yamazaki looks up from a notebook he was scribbling in, eyes still closes, and beams at Ayako. "Welcome! Yes, we are still open, 9 to 5. By the way, did you know that the reason that most places are open 9 to 5 was because, way back when, that was how long the sun was up? Yes, the nights used to be much longer, and the days much shorter, so businesses had to make as much profit in the short period of daylight as they could. Needless to say, candlemakers made a lot of profit, since the nights were so long..."
Thankfully(?), Ayako is spared any more of Yamazaki's tall tale by Tomoyo coming downstairs, gently placing her hands on his shoulders and pushing him aside to smile at Ayako. "Hello, and welcome to Tomoyo's Boutique~ We can certainly help you with any outfit requests you may have."
- Ayako Hasekawa has posed:
Ayako smiles cheerfully when Yamazaki welcomes her and says they're still open. She walks into the store proper and... huh. That... that's qutie a long spiel there. Her mouth opens to say something, but she just freezes. Well, someone can certainly talk. I hope he remembers to breathe!
And then Tomoyo appears! The moment she speaks, Ayako's amber eyes brighten. "Oh! Hello Tomoyo! It's Ayako Hasekawa!" She giggles brightly.
- Tomoyo Daidouji has posed:
"Oh! I thought you sounded familiar~" Tomoyo claps her hands together and beams with delight. "A fellow fashion-lover is always welcome here. So, come to commission an outfit, hm?" Reaching under the counter, she extracts a sketchpad and places it down, pulling a pencil from her apron.
"So, any styles or fashions you like~?"
- Ayako Hasekawa has posed:
Ayako smiles softly. "Un! I also sort of wanted to clarify about being a Water Spirit! Since..." She giggles brightly. "You seemed to be getting an odd picture of what I was, after all!" Her head then nods once. "That's right! I'm always after new outfits! And... if you ever need a dress up doll, please don't be afraid to ask me!"
Ayako's head inclines to the side gently, causing her ponytail to swish. "Hmm... I like cute and elegant clothes mostly! You know..." Her amber eyes almost positively sparkle. "To put it more specifically, eye catching, yet unadorned, without exposing much flesh or being too tight." She nods her head once.
- Tomoyo Daidouji has posed:
Tomoyo giggles softly. "Sorry for getting the wrong idea. I have a bit of experience with water spirits, you see. I helped Sakura capture The Watery! Although, you're much less scary-looking than that card is..." She shakes her head, clearing her mind of nostalgic feelings before drawing a feminine figure at the centre of a clear page.
"Now... because you're a fellow fashionesta, I hope you'll bear with me on this, because I just got a crazy idea." She begins sketching an outfit over the figure on the page. A sleeveless dress that covers up Ayako's torso, with a corset built into the bodice, which has some subtle rose bush embroidery. The skirts are puffy and frilly, reaching knee-length with many layers, each one a little translucent, but together, they mantain her modesty. A frame is built in to push them up and out a bit.
On the legs are white stockings, thigh high, held up with leg garters decorated with white roses. The shoes are white wedge heels, with a white rose on the toe strap. On the arms are elbow-length bridal gauntlets, also with rose bush embroidery. On the head is a gauzy translucent veil that hangs back, hanging down to mid-back.
D-Did Tomoyo just design a bridal dress for Ayako?
- Ayako Hasekawa has posed:
Ayako blinks her eyes slowly. "Aahh... I see. Well... I still am watery myself!" She giggles softly and wiggles her fingers which then lose their color and turn into floating water, fading back into solidity at her wrists. "See?" She giggles brightly and then reforms her fingers.
Her head inclines to the side gently and she watches Tomoyo sketch. Ayako blinks her eyes slowly as she watches what the sketch is starting to become. "Umm... Tomoyo? Is that... a bridal dress?"
- Tomoyo Daidouji has posed:
Tomoyo looks up for a second to catch Ayako's little trick. Her eyes sparkle with delight. "That's so amazing! You're so cool Ayako~" She looks down at her completed sketch when Ayako asks, and then back up with a grin.
"Kind of! I always thought it was sad that wedding dresses only get worn once most of the time~ I always wanted to design an outfit based on one for everyday wear. And since you said you would be happy to be my dress-up doll, I thought you might be a good person to test it with! What do you think~?"
- Ayako Hasekawa has posed:
Ayako blushes lightly when she's called 'cool'. "Th-thank you, Tomoyo!" Her amber eyes move off to the side for a moment and close slightly.
She blinks her eyes slowly and then closes them as she thinks for a moment. "Hmm... Now that you mention it... it is kind of sad to only wear a pretty dress only once and then put it away forever." Ayako nods her head once. "Although... it does make it slightly less special of an outfit." She smiles softly. "Oh oh oh! Of course! I meant what I said!" Her amber eyes look down at the sketch carefully. "Hmm... it looks pretty but... maybe you should take my measurements first?" And then she blushes at that for some reason?
- Tomoyo Daidouji has posed:
Tomoyo grins again. But this one seems to be a little more ghoulish and spooky. Reaching into her apron, she retrieves a tape measure and slowly unfurls it, pulling it tight between her hands.
"Oh, of course~ Dressing rooms are over there. Shall we get started?"
