Riva Banari has posed:
Riva's come to the Homeworld along with a couple of her close friends in order to investigate this whole Abstractum thing. Curious before, she endured a spike of PERSONAL AGGRIEVANCE when Samael's alterations to Sieg resulted in Riva eating the bad side of that exchange hard. If she wasn't who she was, she'd be like, double dead right now.

Maybe triple! BUT WHO'S COUNTING?

Either way, she's observed a Genesis Drive before with others, so she has some idea what's going to probably happen. Kirika and Eleanor are with her, both of them Users in their own right, and who knows what's going to happen?

Either way, Riva wibbles a little through the entry port to the Homeworld, watching the movement back and forth and seeing the vast variety of unusual and half-understood interactions and concepts. "This place is craaaazy cool." Riva says to the others as she leans on a railing that overlooks the area. "I've never seen anything like it."

Kirika (481) has posed:
As promised a long while ago, Kirika has indeed accompanied Riva Banari here. The presence of Eleanor Lamb is welcome as well, given the Lieutenant's past history with Kirika. At best they're acquaintences, but in a good way.

Manattobuki is slung across Kirika's shoulder, the kitsune carrying her spear through the port in step with Riva. "It's a sight to behold the first time around, aye." She agrees with a nod. Her ears twitch a little, and she swishes her tail side to side while she joins Riva.

    "Are you ready?"

Eleanor Lamb (40) has posed:
Eleanor... has been prepared. There's a set of beanbag chairs that Eleanor's dragged over from one of the rooms in the Green Wing, or had constructed or however the concept of a Beanbag Chair works in this damn place.
Elle is currently sitting on one of the chairs, and seems to be meditating a little bit.

Riva Banari has posed:
Riva pushes off of the railing and looks back to the pair. Something about Elle's peaceful, meditative state on the beanbag seems to attract Riva's attention, but she looks back to Kirika, nodding. "Sure. I'm ready when you are! Whooo, abstract representations of concepts given form to do cool stuff! Hell yeah!"

She pauses for a moment. "One second though, gotta do something." The tension is finally too much for Riva. She can't help it. Slowly, she leaaaaaans forward, and then teaches out to softly boop Elle on the nose.

"Boop." Riva supplies, mischeviously.

Kirika (481) has posed:
Kirika has to admire Riva's enthusasm for...everything, really, even if they're about equal when it comes to actual operational experience. But sadly that's about the point where the similarities stop.

The vixen stares as Riva does..something to Eleanor, and she stares for a good while. Then she brings her hand to her face with a heavy, long suffering sigh.

"You're unbelievable." she mutters, ears flat.

Eleanor Lamb (40) has posed:
Eleanor's response is to snort and bite the tip of Riva's finger. "Rude. Have a seat, this takes it out of a person when it happens." She smiles and murmurs. "Now, having done this before and having beeen here when the Homeworld was generated, I can tell you for certain that there is one thing that the Abstracum and the Operators love more than anything in the world."

"A show. They love a show, they love drama, especially Mr. Welcomes because he's stuck in those tubes all day. So. We're going to make a production out of this."

Riva Banari has posed:
"I know~" Riva replies brightly, looking up at Kirika... And then she yelps as Eleanor bites her finger. She rubs it a bit, plopping down onto the other bean bag and nodding to Eleanor. "Really? He can't leave? I guess if I was stuck in there I'd be wanting a show too." She purses her lips. "So, a show, huh? What do you think would be suitable? I mean, we don't really have the time for a three-act play, but..."

Kirika (481) has posed:
"I suppose I can't blame him for wanting a little entertainment time to time." Kirika says, joining Riva and Eleanor as she takes a seat. "I'm at a loss myself, but I suppose we'll think of something won't we?"

Chinrub. Kirika thinks for a bit, placing her spear besides her chair as she crosses her legs. Hmmm.

Abstractum.Net (347) has posed:
"I'm not sure there's any way for them to leave like you'd imagine them, honestly." Utopia says. That's the glove on Eleanor's hand, speaking up briefly. "But yes, I'll admit. The process is a little dramatic. We have a lot of exhaust resonance to deal with."

Manattobuki makes an agreeing grunt noise. "There's an element of shock and awe to all of it. I'm told you'll appreciate it, as some kind of artist." The pair seem ready to begin whenever the trio of non-objects wish to get started, or ask questions.

Eleanor Lamb (40) has posed:
"No, no plays, just... some seriousness."
Eleanor smiles and squeezes Utopia and then... takes Riva's hand with the glove as well. A look over at Kirika, and the Sister intones. "Riva Banari. What you are about to undertake is a very important step. And with it comes a contract. The contract will be between you and your future Abstractum. This... we are not sure of the final step of the contract just yet, but we are being called on to prevent the End of things when They come."

The serious look on her face is softened by a smile. "That said, Utopia hasn't lead me astray yet, and he's been an uncle to me thus far."

Riva Banari has posed:
Riva nods to the pair of Abstractum. Abstracta? Abstracti? Well, at least they're not moose. "I definately appreciate the idea. It feels like it uses a lot of the invested emotional content of the production in order to help guide the basic concept and develop it." Riva says, gesturing.

Ellie adds some SERIOUS TIME to the event. Riva nods. "It's all for the sake of the future, right? There's something important that needs to be done, and what we're doing helps work together to present a situation that will allow us to get past it together." She smiles. "I did do some reading, after all. It's not all just cool powers and neat new friends and stuff."

Kirika (481) has posed:
A nod of agreement comes from Kirika as she gives Riva a serious look. "This is more serious than you realize. We are all called upon by forces beyond comprehension. They are coming, and we must be there to drive them back." She says grimly. "All we ask for is consent before we do this."

"Your foresight is welcome, Riva." the vixen nods again, before she grips Manattobuki and retracts him to the length of a baton, laying him across her lap. "You will soon be one of us, the Users of these devices. I hope you will be ready for what comes with this responsibility."

Abstractum.Net (347) has posed:
"Of course, cool powers and neat new friends are a part of it. An important one. Treasure the friends you gain from this. But that... That is right. It is not all. I think we can trust you to treat it seriously." Utopia says, with a serious look it its eye and a somber sort of posture on Eleanor's hand.

"You can't forget. Whatever form it takes, it will be a weapon. When you take a weapon, treat the battle it's for with caution, and treat the weapon with respect. And Kirika is right. Consent is needed. Won't have you going onto a battlefield like that without agreeing to it."

Eleanor Lamb (40) has posed:
Eleanor smiles a bit, and looks to Riva. "Are you ready to begin, then? To make your contract?"

Riva Banari has posed:
"Make new friends, but keep the old, one is silver and the other gold~," Riva says with a faint singsong tone. She sighs, then. "Consent, huh? Well, I give you guys a lot of credit for that. The last wars I got pulled into, I never got asked." She smiles. "I appreciate it. I'm going to be glad to work with you all. I give my consent. I'll work with you guys to push Them back and make sure that there will be a future for us to create... together."

And then that more serious face cracks, and she grins at her friends, arm pumping. "Let's get this party started!"

Kirika (481) has posed:
Kirika nods. "I am ready." She says, before she grabs Manatto firmly, popping her neck. "I, Kirika Matsuyama, Warden of Kasun, consent to the genesis of a new Abstractum." Giving a look to Eleanor, she nods in her direction before awaiting further consent.

Abstractum.Net (347) has posed:
"We're all in agreement then." Utopia says. There's an affirmative "mmmph" from Manatto. "Well, in that case. Powering Genesis Drive."

        THEME: https://dl.dropboxusercontent.com/u/201370883/PROCUREMENT.mp3

A vivid blue light shines out of the Utopia's eye, as well as Manattobuki's emitting a red one, as they shift, slowly, into a monotone. "Users explicit consent confirmed. Candidate User explicit consent confirmed. Drawing resonance." Loud whirring builds to a peak in the Abstractums; a burst of wind blasts out of pair that sends small shockwaves into the environment.

"ASSEMBLING CONCEPTS. AMPLIFYING PARADIGMS." They speak in a harder monotone. "DETERMINING IMPRINT." Riva is going to feel a sensation not entirely unlike being grasped, tightly, but instead of in physical space, it's in another spatial axis entirely. It lifts her, and then she's struck against reality, with the sensation of leaving an imprint in it, a mold of sorts.

When she's struck against reality, there's a bright blue and red shockwave of light and another swirling rush of wind, likely to blow light debris around. "CONCEPT MOLD ESTABLISHED. ENGAGING FULL GENESIS." And, it would seem, this "imprint" gets filled in. Like certain actions before it, this "filling in" seems to be performed on another spatial dimension, looking the way a mold might look to a flatlander when filled.

It's a brush! A big, broad brush, unusual in size and seemingly a bit stretchy in terms of its dimensions. At the base of the bristles it bears, one can find a small spherical gem. Within the gem, a defined black pupil forms, surrounded by a pair of shadowy eyelids.

All three Abstractum speak in unison now. "NETWORK MESSAGE: A new Abstractum has been deployed. Thank you for assuming the duty of protection. When They return, together we'll end them." And, abruptly, everything settles down. Manattobuki seems a little exhausted, Utopia less so. Meanwhile, the brush itself seems to be awakening, and peering at the only User here who doesn't have an Abstractum in their hands, or if Riva's picked it up as it stops floating, the one who's holding it. "Ah, interesting. I would assume you're my User, Miss? I'm Daemon, it's a pleasure to meet you, and I look forward to a fascinating time here. What should I call you?"

Staren has posed:
After helping Simon, Staren's headed to the Homeworld himself... so he's walking along when sensitive cat-robot ears pick up talk about consent and generating a new Abstractum! He manifests his wings and flies over the Legacies to see who it is this time... a brush forming for Riva! Oooh. He comes in for a landing, dismissing his wings. "Congratulations, Riva! And congratulations, Daemon!" he says, cheerfully. "On getting an Abstractum and existing, respectively. I guess that makes seventy-seven." But he whips out the captcha camera and checks anyway, because you never know if something strange might be going on.

Riva Banari has posed:
WHEE! Riva is caught up in the process of creating an Abstractum. She looks a little nervious and anticipatory as they do their pronouncements, and then it's too late for thought.

Or perhaps that's all there is time to do. Think. Feel. Listen. She is brought up into the air, her Self being used to mold and create a new being. The process is profound, but over before she really has time to sample the sensation and understand it.

She blinks at the brush as it comes into existence, and she smiles, a quirky expression creasing her features as she takes up the new Abstractum. "Daemon, eh? That's an interesting name. My name's Riva Banari. You can call me Riva. It's a pleasure to work with you!" She smiles, examining the brush in detail. It is basically what it appears to be, but that doesn't keep Riva from examining the textures and the feeling and heft of the object.

And then Staren shows up! "Oh, hi Staren!" Riva waves, holding up Daemon to make sure it gets a good look too. "Thanks! I'm glad to join in on this. It's going to be kiiiiiind of a thing."

Kirika (481) has posed:
Well this is a thing. Kirika bows her head as the genesis is complete, and she practically cradles Manattobuki in her arms when she detects the Abstractum's fatigue. "Soon, you'll get stronger, I promise it..." she murmurs softly. Manatto may be a bit annoyed by this, but Kirika can't help herself sometimes.

She nods to the brush, "Congratulations indeed." Crimson eyes glance towards Staren, before the vixen gives him a nod of greeting. "Aah, hello. IT seems this has been more popular than I expected indeed..."

Eleanor Lamb (40) has posed:
Eleanor... sits up straight, and pulls out an energy drink from behind her beanbag to hand to Riva. "Here you go. I know that always takes a bit out of people. So, congratualtions, though the Paintbrush seems like the sort of choice Arthur would make, frankly." A grin. "Though you did do some lovely watercolors for me, so that's a clear approval in my book."

Riva Banari has posed:
Riva takes the drink and huffs for a moment, her shoulders slumping. "Yeah, you're right. But then, well..." She sort of gestures to Daemon as if it explains everything. "There is an old saying about genius being one percent inspiration, ninety-nine percent perspiration." She cracks the energy drink open with a hiss and takes a long drink. "Well, I've always introduced myself as a painter. I'm not really surprised that Daemon took the form of something related to that. It's who I want to be, and who I am. The rest is all just... details." She gestures offhandedly, using the enlarged brush. "Maybe Daemon will help me with my next ones! We'll see." She smiles, and then holds up Daemon, looking at the Core Matrix like she would look into someone's eyes when she's talking to them. "So we're going to have a lot to get used to with one another, I bet! This is going to be pretty fun." She smiles.

Abstractum.Net (347) has posed:
"Riva. Lovely to meet you." The brush seems to almost bow. And then a little wave of the bristles to Staren. "Hello, and thank you. It's exactly the sort of thing that deserves celebration, even if it needs to be minor." The little brush is definitely number 77, it seems, and then it flourishes a bit with Riva's gestures. "My User is correct. No matter what, an artist is an artist, on canvas, battlefield, or both. I'm here to blur the lines, albeit just slightly." There's a bit of a tilt of the brush when it's brought up to Riva's eye level. "Of course. While I've no doubt in my mind that it'll be a great deal of work, there's joy to be found in that, I think, and I look forward to it."

Staren has posed:
Also, on Staren's left arm is a brass-colored gauntlet, segmented with five armored wires running up from the base of the gauntlet to the knuckles, bracer-style plates on the back of the arm and hand, and a blue crystal eye situated behind the wrist, about where a watch would be.

"A thing." Staren echoes. Looking around at the base and the legacies walking around in it. "Yeah, you could say that." Kirika and Eleanor get nods of greeting now too, but his focus is on Riva. "Welcome to being a User, did you get the pamphlet?" He didn't print out a spare, so he pockets the camera and pulls a tablet from his coat pocket, with +info Staren/Abstractum-101 displayed on it.

To Daemon, he wonders, "Blur the lines, huh? An artist on the battlefield? So, you're a battle brush?"

Riva Banari has posed:
Riva considers for a moment, then laughs as the mention of a battle brush is made. "You know, you and Eleanor remind me of a thing Arthur got me for Christmas. I was always wondering how I'd be using it, but now I think I know." She bops a little with anticipation at that. "We'll see which lines get blurred more than others! Haha! But enough metaphor! This is going to be awesome."

She takes the tablet and looks it over for a moment and hands it back. "Yeah, I read this back when I first heard people talking about Abstractum. It's handy stuff. I'll have to keep it in mind for reference material."

She looks back to Daemon, then. "Hmm hmm. I guess you're the hard-worker type, huh? You remind me of some people. This will be interesting. I'll have to make you a sling or something to keep you in so I can keep you at hand. I'll figure something out~" She hums, already excited again despite the stress of the Genesis Drive.

Abstractum.Net (347) has posed:
"Something like that that." Daemon gives a brief "nod" to Staren. "You'll be surprised, I think, what paints can do if you use them with skill and practice." And then a peer back up at Riva. "As an artist, I can be very little else. Eventually you have to be, right? Everything else only gets you so far. It does seem like this will be interesting though. I'm sure you'll figure something out." There's an approving sort of nod there.

Staren has posed:
Staren just raises his eyebrows at the vague hint of 'he'll be surprised what paints can do'. He supposes he will. He wonders what it might mean...
