Profile

Riva always wanted to be a painter. However, a twist of fate and the intervention of some bees caused her to gain the ability to channel spiritual force (called Anima) in a variety of ways, giving her the ability to deal with the supernatural entities that infest the world. This fact also resulted in her recruitment by the Knights Templar, a conspiracy that stands in the shadows of the world in order to protect it from the darkness which seems to eternally threaten it. Most of the time she is a positive and helpful woman who tries to do her best to assist anyone she can, throwing herself into whatever needs doing wholeheartedly. Finding some small solace in her art, the new life that she has been thrust into causes her no amount of stress, headaches, and worse. The connection of Agartha to the Multiverse has caused her handlers in the Templar to use her as a liaison (and field agent) to deal with potential threats to the world And possibly do some good out there, too. Its taking some getting used to.

BAD AT PLANS: Riva generally tries to take the most direct path to accomplish something, and doesnt always seem to notice the flaws in her plan. She has high hopes and dreams and optimism about her chances and abilities and doesnt always plan for when things can go wrong, which means its easy for her to get in over her head.

BRIGHT AURA: The process of making Riva an Anima Wielder has left its mark on her soul. Anyone with the ability to perceive auras or any form of souls or soul power reveals Rivas nature. There is no known way for her to hide this, which makes it quite difficult if they want to avoid detection.

NAIVETE: Riva is in over her head in other ways too. She inherently leans towards taking people at their word, which is a dangerous habit in her own world, let alone in the Multiverse. She hasnt quite developed the skills needed to tell when someone is feeding her a line (though she can certainly tell the difference between a complete absurdity or not, the problem is that definition has narrowed a lot since entering the Multiverse and the Secret World).

Arthur Lowell	Super Friend+	Riva thinks Arthur is an awesome dude and doesn't afraid of anything. Except romance. She thinks this is weird, and plans to help things along a bit in her own Riva way. YOU CAN'T HIDE FOREVER, ARTHUR LOWELL. Riva feels that Arther is isolating himself from others through his bravado and other actions despite his constant advice to maintain connections to people. There are some things that can't be faked through. Glimpses of that were revealed through the original events in Mizuki's worlds, and she feels that there is an even more amazing person hiding under that shell he's built up around himself. He just needs to let someone in... And that's been a slow and somewhat frustrating process.
Ayako Hasekawa	Best Water Friend	The cutest and friendliest water spirit Riva's ever met. Also the ONLY water spirit Riva's ever met, but she isn't counting. Ayako is incredibly honest, straightforward, and genuine. She accepts who and what she is even while she tries to hide it. Riva might let her do a little more of the work around the apartment than she should, but more than that, they provide an essential form of daily contact that might help moderate each other a bit. Despite this, Riva's dearest wish is to find a way to help Ayako experience what it is like to be a human instead of a spirit, if only for a little while. In the end, Ayako is who and what she is, and Riva isn't sure if she's come to terms with that... Or if she wants to find a way to change that.
Psyber	Cool Dude	Riva busts his chops all the time, but she really likes and respects him. Even if she doesn't always listen to him. Psyber's personal nature is something of a puzzle to Riva. He, like a lot of others she knows, has a thick shell around himself, and it is difficult to get through it. Unlike many of the others, however, Psyber /knows/ she's trying to get through it and is putting up some measure of resistance and distance, managing to keep distracting her with the more severe issues Nathan Hall had. However, that's over. Riva can now focus on trying to understand Psyber and help him. Someone has to.
Inga	Mega Hugs	Inga's smart in almost all the ways Riva is not, and she has a lot of common sense. Another thing Riva doesn't have. She helps a lot as a moderating effect on Riva's shenaniganry. Despite this, Riva tries to help keep Inga on the edge of her comfort zone in order to give her the ability to adapt to the multiverse, while also allowing her to carve out her own place. She has one too!
Wuyin Tsai	THAT GUY	Wuyin basically is the opposite of Inga. He's even more shenanigans than Riva is, but that's because he's a Dragon. He lives the chaos theory. One day she's going to get his coin to flip tails...
Ainsley	Bookfriend	Ainsley is adorkable. She's one of Riva's first multiversal friends, and Riva is always worried about her since she keeps getting into trouble and poking at things she probably shouldn't. Her relationship with Faruja makes her giggle endlessly and hopes that Ainsley and Faruja can moderate each other a bit. It's not looking likely, though.
Mizuki	The Moon	Mizuki has rapidly become one of the biggest figures in Riva's life due to the deep bonds of trust developing between them. Recent events have made Riva realize the grand and terrible nature of portions of Mizuki's existence, and she finds herself unable to ignore or look away. Through quirks of fate, Riva cares deeply about this enigmatic person and feels a deep-seated need to help her find the answers she is looking for in her own way.
Staren	Supercatboy	She really appreciates Staren's idealism, but she's worried that he's putting himself into a mental position where he's going to push himself over the deep end. What happens to scientists when they go off the deep end? Yeah. That thing. He is, however, completely adorable as a cat.
Sir Bedivere	zomgknight	Sir Bedivere is basically one of the most dignified and honorable knights Riva has ever seen. She has a lot of respect for him, but the nature of his interpretation of knighthood and her views on life are very different. Just being around him makes her feel like she's falling short.
Saber	zomgArthur	It's freaking King Arthur. Except King Arthur was female. This is basically the most ridiculamazing thing ever to her. However, she's even more intensely knightly than Sir Bedivere, and causes the same reactions. Sometimes she wonders what Saber's like under that thick shell of knightly virtue though...
Sir Gawain	Knightdorable	Strong like rock. Dependable like rock. Unstoppable like rock. Smart like rock. She thinks he's hilarious anyway though. He acts almost like if he was a little brother.
Faruja	Rat-Tastic	Faruja is a complex person with a lot of problems, and he does a good job at hiding them under his ridiculous devotion to Glabados. Riva's fine with that, though it gets embarassing to her when Faruja shows her deference because of her position in the Templar. Since he and Ainsley are an item, of course, this means he gets to be the target of meddling too though...
Assassin	Deadly	His existence is kind of an existential crisis to Riva. She kind of wants to give him all of the hugs but he's just /so good/ at killing her buzzes. His interest in learning how to live is of particular note to her.
Kojirou Sasaki	BAD DUDE	Riva remembers what he did to that poor girl, and she's going to figure out a way to make him pay for it eventually.
Vruasa Telash	Trollish	She's not that familiar with the guy but she can appreciate the candor. She is going to be useful in helping her with some of her projects too, since they both have an interest in possibly fixing this specific problem.
Harry Dresden	Wizardbro	Riva likes Harry. A lot. She also thinks him and Inga are super cute together. If he didn't have that anti-technology aura she might have kept him for herself. Still, he has a bad habit of getting her covered in nasty stuff. She's never going on a job with him without a tarp again.
Kyra Hyral	Little Sis	She gets into endless amounts of trouble. Reminds her of herself, really. Riva gives Kyra her space and cheers her on where she can, while also helping her out when something is so crazy it looks like a bad idea even to /her/.
Nero	why you do this	Speaking of crazy things, Kyra got herself into a Grail War. Well, so be it. Nero doesn't seem to be THAT BAD of an influence after she had some time to acclimate to the Multiverse. In fact, she seems kind of fun, albeit maybe even more than Riva herself...
