Digi Here - Digi Know
Date of Scene: 15 July 2015
Location: Bar and Grill at the Edge of the Multiverse
Synopsis: Duke holds a meeting in hopes to not only alert other Digimon, but to update the Multiverse on what is going on or at least what could happen soon.
Cast of Characters: 132, Alexis, 695, Duke, 750, 782, 810, 827

Duke has posed:
A section of the Bar & Grill has be set off to the side in order for this little event. The Digimon who put this together had no idea how many people would come, he didn't even know who it would all reach. There is only so much Duke could do really and he did what he could.

He was nervous, honestly nervous. What if no one /would/ come and listen to the story that needed to be told or hear them out? What if none would support them when their hour of need was here. Oh yes, Lute offered back then a spot within the Confederacy, but--- Duke was wiser now, he knew that could only be trouble. Even if some individuals were not bad and that is all he was looking for.

The Individuals. He was trying to talk to the Individuals. Not the factional leaders, not the big organizations. Just the people of the Multiverse, for it isn't the Digimon who need to hear an old tale told again, even though it could do them some good, it was the people of the Multiverse he needed to reach.

If the people came for this meeting, they be told where to go and they would find the Knightly Digimon leaning against the wall rubbing his armored forehead with his black clawed hand. There was no mantle on his backside, no weapon in display. In this form, Duke was a Medieval Dukemon, one of his Ultimate forms. One /of/ his Ultimate forms... he was still debating if wanted to talk about the fact of the truth he came to realize while fighting Beelzebumon, strengthen by his fight with Gaonoir, and what Alphamon had told him.

But with no way to control the evolution...
It may also be a bad thing to talk about as well.

Yet-- when would he face that truth fully? Not just accept it, but honestly stare it down. That part he wasn't sure about.

Golden (782) has posed:
Golden comes on in, sits in one of the chairs. "Hey Duke."
He quickly determines that this is not going to work very well, sitting in a chair that is. He can't see anything but under the table. Seeing very few other options available, he ends up clambering up onto a table and settles on it. Not having anything else to do at the moment, he checks the salt and pepper shakers to make sure nobody has loosened the tops. "Should be an interesting meeting."

Duke has posed:
"Golden." Duke says softly, as he looks to the other Digimon with his gold eyes as he lowers his hand. "I hope so... I really do."

Wesley Wilson (827) has posed:
When Wesley shows up, he -does- have his weapon on full display. It's strapped to his back. The thing is, his weapon is -also- a guitar, so it'd be pretty easy for the untrained eye to assume that the axes are simply a stylistic choice.

He slides his hands into his pockets, looking around and sniffing the air like some kind of untrained animal. Then he spots Duke and tilts his head. "You're like, huge, and like, armored and stuff." Then he looks down at Golden, and points. "What the fuck is that?"

Duke has posed:
"Seven foot six, if I remember the measurements correctly." Duke comments to Wesley, "I am a Medieval Dukemon, but you know me as Duke. That," Who Wesley just points at it some type of human shock, "Is Golden... a Metal Mamemon. A small Digimon species, but they pack a punch."

"Please have a seat and feel free to enjoy the food, along with drinks." Duke motions to the open spots, "I'll be getting started soon."

Golden (782) has posed:
"Eh, I get that a lot. Even from other Metal Mamemon." Golden says, shrugging as he takes a seat on the table and grabs some random appetizers and chomps on them.

Wesley Wilson (827) has posed:
Wesley takes a seat and immediately grabs a burger in each hand, starting to alternate his bites between the two. He stares at Golden and Duke while he eats, considering this whole thing. "So like, you guys live in a monster world. But you're good monsters, kinda like, uh, kappas."

Duke has posed:
"Haha. Something like that." Duke says with a minor head tilt, "But I'll be getting into those details when we honestly start." He glances toward the entrance his gold eyes lose some light. Is this... really all that is going to come? He thinks to himself as he lowers his head gently.

Golden (782) has posed:
Golden eyes Wesley and grabs /three/ burgers, puts them together, and eats them quickly, making a bit of a mess.

Beelzebumon (132) has posed:
Typical of Beelzebumon to arrive late to a meeting.

Parties, he's usually on time for (after all, that means more party time!), but even back during the war, he was always the last one to the Demon Lord's meetings, which infuriated the others to no end. Which is why he did it.

Without batting an eye or a hint of shame, the Demon Lord of Gluttony strides into the bar and cracks his neck on the way in, before grabbing a chair, spinning it around 180 degrees, then flopping onto it with his arms coming to rest on the back of said chair, "Heya Lizardface, Cueball."

Wesley Wilson (827) has posed:
"You another digi monster thing?" Wesley asks, before he places Beelzebumon's voice, then his eyes widen and he stops eating for the moment, even while Golden seems to take the lead. "Oohh you're the demon dude! Yeah, you look like a pretty good fight."

Duke has posed:
"Beelzebumon." Duke returned in reply. "I was just getting ready to start, so you are just in time." Maybe it was keen instinct or maybe that hidden part locked away in Duke /knew/ that Beelzebumon try to be late so was dragging his feet.

In truth, he kept hoping more will show up before he starts to speak, but... he lose the interest of the one Multiverser that seems to be present if he keeps dragging his feet. The thought causes him to close his eyes with a cringe really.

When he does look over the area again, it doesn't change. He then looks over to Wesley. "Yep. That is Beelzebumon. Our resident Demon Lord... that will-- probably be talked about as well." He rubs the back of his metal neck before he pushes off the wall and then goes to pace around a little, shaking out his nerves.

Yep, he was getting close to starting.

Beelzebumon (132) has posed:
"Aw man, I was /trying/ to show up late just to irk you, ah well..." Beelzebumon admits as he rests his chin in the palm of his hand, before giving Wesley a two fingered salute with the other as he's introduced, "S'uuuuup?"

Duke has posed:
"I'm sure you were." Duke remarks, with a glint in his gold eyes with a flicker of blue speckled in them for a moment. There was a hint to that tone, Beelzebumon may pick up on it better then anyone. It was just a reminder to the Demon Lord that he was /still/ there.

Just needed more cork work to get him /out/.

Wesley Wilson (827) has posed:
"Just kinda wonderin' what it'd feel like to punch you in the chest. Guess I can figure it out later." Wesley doesn't even sound aggressive when he says it, he sounds more like he has legitimate curiosity. Then he goes back to chomping at his burgers.

Duke has posed:
Duke paces about a bit more before he comes to a halt, his feet snap together almost, like out of some unknown habit with his hands behind his back. It was regal, it was also very military. Those gold eyes of his also held that same look as he looks across the area.

He will just have to begin.

"Right then, I like to thank those of the Multiverse who have come." His eyes seem to narrow in thought but they remain focused. "We Digimon have been among you for a few years now, from my knowledge and many of us are in hiding. Those of us in hiding are known as the Exiles... but we are starting to show ourselves more now."

"Starting to come out into the light of being seen, even though so many of us still hide in concern for a enemy that could rise up... an enemy that could threaten all of the Multiverse as well, but... even we Exiles do not know... nor do I imagine even our resident Demon Lord who has had most interactions with the Multiverse." His gold eyes fall on Beelzebumon.

"Digimon... our race... are Digital Monsters. We are living beings of data, that can bleed, that need sleep, and also need to eat. We can also /die/. Back in our old world, we would simply be reborn when we passed on or be brought back up to our full spec in a reboot process... but now, outside of our world, cut off from the New World... we can die just like many of you. Our data, our being, becoming lost."

"You see, our god, Yggdrasil, has abandoned us and forsaken us. We are no longer his children, just mistakes he wishes to erase. He tried though once, we he destroyed our old world and made a new one, but we managed to survive. We Exiles... even the Demon Lords, many of us... managed to escape when the Unification happened... but far to many of us also died that day."

Beelzebumon (132) has posed:
"Hell, we didn't even know there /was/ a new world until a short while ago, when some of Yggy's lackeys dropped by to try and murder us," Beelzebumon adds, before shrugging, "Though to be fair, I didn't know that all that many Exiles survived either. For a few years there, the only people I knew of who had survived the old world was me and the other six Demon Lords, along with whatever ragged tatters of our armies we managed to salvage."

Then he points to Duke with a half grin on his face, "Then this joker showed up, and since then, it's been like a snowball rolling down hill."

Golden (782) has posed:
Golden adds for the benefit of the lone non-Digimon. "Yggdrasil killed most of the Digimon. Like... about one in a hundred managed to survive. Either they were picked to survive by Yggdrasil, got their hands on an antidote for the plague, or were like Jerkface..." here he looks at Beelzebumon "...and me and were too tough for the plague to kill outright. Vast hordes of DEXDoruGreymon were set loose with the Royal Knights to finish the job and kill any unwanted survivors."

Alexis has posed:
And seemingly mostly at random timing is when Alexis finally comes trudging into the bar, followed by an equally tired looking Typhlosion. The tomboy gives a vage wave to the gather in general. "Yo." Grabs a chair, tosses her hoodie over the back, and flops down on it. Scorch more or less just collapses next to it. "Sorry we're late. Got sidetracked helping some Rangers round up a herd of Bouffalant that got loose from someone's ranch."

Wesley Wilson (827) has posed:
"Sounds like the Ragnarok prophecy, but like, different. It's even got Yggdrasil!" Wesley says as he grabs a large juice drink, starting to sip it down as he listens to everyone talk. "In, like, the Ragnarok prophecy, uhh, I think a few people make it inside, and then like they stay there safe while the world dies, and then the people inside Yggdrasil come back out to live in the new world, or somethin'. I don't always get all this stuff right."

He looks back at Alexis, then raises his chin in greeting. "So uh, like, we gotta kill Yggdrasil?" he asks, looking back at Duke.

Duke has posed:
Duke pauses there for a moment, to let that sink in. His hands behind his back tensing and releasing. He isn't a speaker, at least he doesn't think he is, but this-- seems to be going well so far. He is still thinking about what Alphamon told him and in some ways, he knows this meeting is a risk-- but they need the support of the Multiverse.

They /need/ that extra aid for if, no, when things go bad.

Duke looks to Beelzebumon. "Right and that goes to the fact that the Exiles are in hiding. There are several camps located around the Multiverse keeping down low, scattered, and constantly on the move. Some are starting to show up now... and perhaps like myself and Doran, a good friend of mine... Exiles are starting to feel safe."

He looks back out again, "But... this safety, could be threatened soon. When though, we don't know, but the first signs have already started to show themselves and this has escalated up a step very recently."

Golden then explains a bit of the history that Duke would rather just--- slide over or wait a bit to touch. Its easy to see his head lower as his own thoughts wonders. His hands tightening up around one another, it was hard for him to swallow that thought. His knowledge, even if /he/ didn't remember the details. He... knew he was /part/ of it.

His gold eyes then look to Alexis as she joins them. He gives a nod of his head to her, before Duke looks to Golden and breaks his own silence. "Right. The DEX-line. A possible Digimon that Yggdrasil may still have in his possession, though I can only hope not something he ever use again... or would think of it, but with a god willing to kill nearly ninety nine percent of a population in a near wipe of genocide, to only take that one percent to a new world.... who knows."

Wesley may realize his tale isn't to far off either. "Right." He then closes his eyes. "...and something like that." He then looks at the man, "Yggdrasil created a new world, a world we don't know where it is in the Multiverse, but that it is. His followers know where it is however, but we will are... unsure... for now." His voice sounds very serious with that. Even a touch annoyed. "The trouble is, Yggdrasil knows we Exiles live... and he knows even the Demon Lords are around. So long as we stayed low, so did he, but that has changed."

"Yggdrasil has sent a scout out... and worse, one of the Royal Knights as well. His key tactician of the Royal Knights, Duftmon." Duke's eyes narrow. "There is possible chance soon of an attack to be staged by the Royal Knights against all Exiles... and perhaps anyone who sides with us... the Multiverse then in turn can either aid us... or let Yggdrasil finish what he started."

Rebound (750) has posed:
Better late than never, Rebound has arrived. The kangaroo is just sort of there, quite suddenly in fact, with a grilled cheese sandwich in one hand, listening to the digimon talk about their god and trying to destroy the world, "That guy sounds like an asshole." She says, as she takes a bite from her sandwich, "Mmm. Cheesey. Anyway, so what's the deal? You want us to punch this Yiggy guy in the face until he bleeds out? Because I can do that." She takes another bite and hmms a bit.

Alexis has posed:
Alexis glances up from trying to wave down a waiter so she can get something to drink after he last little side adventure. "This is even crazier than the time Mewtwo tried to make an army of clones to destroy humanity with."

Beelzebumon (132) has posed:
As Rebound makes herself known, Beelzebumon half turns his head and shrugs flippantly, "Oh, you know. God of Digimon, bit of a control freak, doesn't like it when people fuck with his plans. Me and the other Demon Lords started a war to kill him and take over, and when it was clear that he was getting his ass whooped and that his people were beginning to lose faith in him, he decided to go 'Fuck this' and unleashed the apocalypse."

Wesley Wilson (827) has posed:
"Well shit, that's the whole point of Scions like me." Wesley says as he crosses his arms and leans back into his chair, though the guitar complicates leaning back into things. "We were created to help stop the Ragnarok, to like, change Fate, keep all the people from dyin' and stuff. You already had your Ragnarok, but like..."

He shrugs, reaching back to remove the guitar from his back, holding it up in both hands to put the weapon/instrument on full display. "I ain't big on like, responsibility and shit, but if I get to fight, I figure fightin' somethin' like this is basically my destiny anyway. I'll fight Yggdrasil and help you all get back in, screw all that Fate stuff. I was born to say that. Takin' people's houses away and killin' 'em ain't cool."

Doran (695) has posed:
Doran pads in as one of the late-comers, grabbing a few things to eat and drink on his way to a chair. He's in his Child-level form, a 4-foot-tall purple-and-white furry wolf-raptor with a vulpine tail, and his golden eyes narrow slightly as he looks over everyone who has shown up. A few he doesn't know... good, it means that this will be news to them.

"That's one way to put it, Beelzebumon," he snorts, his child-like voice seeming to hold back a snicker. "But no less true."

His ears twitch as he studies Wesley Wilson, a keen glint in his eyes, before turning the same look on Rebound. He hasn't met either of them before, so his usual cautious distrust is fully visible. "Killing Yggdrasil may not solve the issue. Could even create worse situations... maybe even destroy the new Digital World."

Duke has posed:
Duke allows the other Digimon to explain things, he is trying to get his own thoughts together as he shifts his weight slightly. Forcing himself to relax, at least more were starting to show up now. Good. That means the word can spread out further and maybe with luck, that damn scout will hear and make Yggdrasil think twice.

Maybe.

If he was wrong though...

Duke does give a nod to Rebound and then looks to Wesley, then back to Rebound as he speaks. "The trouble with getting to Yggdrasil again, is we need to locate the New Digital World and that means finding the gate to it. From what I can tell, they are using the cyberspace highway to move between here and there, but without the proper...." He tries to think of the word, "...password, that gate wont open. There is probably a Warp Gate near it, but we have yet to find it."

"In order to get to Yggdrasil, we have to get past the Royal Knights... they are his main line of defense and they are the generals of the Digital World. They command wave and wave of soldiers, each of them." Duke tilts his head faintly, "...and I believe... there is only now..." He glances to the side. "...Ten? Ten I believe remaining after the destruction of the old world."

"Two that are missing or dead however.. and that means they are..." His words are hesitating, his voice more nervous as we speaks. "...they are... maybe still Royal Knights by code... but... not in the eyes of Yggdrasil."

Thankfully Doran shows up and Duke nodes to his old friend, along with his words. "Then there is that yes. In killing Yggdrasil, we also don't know what it will mean for the New World. How integrated he has made himself into it for its survival."

Alexis has posed:
Alexis snorts softly, but keeps her mouth shut on the matter of 'missing' Knights. "There's gotta be a warp gate by it. That's just the way the multiverse seems to work.... buuuut that doesn't mean it's anywhere in -this- part of the Multiverse or easily accessable by already established networks."

Beelzebumon (132) has posed:
"There were twelve Royal Knights who lead Yggdrasil's armies back during the war, with a fabled Thirteenth, supposedly existing," Beelzebumon says, before he raises his hand to begin counting off their names.

"There's Craniummon, Magnamon, Dynasmon, Lord Knightmon, Ulforce V-Dramon, Sleipmon, Duftmon, Examon, Gankoomon, Jesmon, and their leader, Omegamon."

Then he glances at Duke, before continuing, "The two Royal Knights that are missing from their ranks is Dukemon, and the rumored Alphamon, the one who formed the Royal Knights whom /I still don't think actuially exists./" With this last part, he jabs Duke in the chest and stares at him.

Wesley Wilson (827) has posed:
"If you wanna, like, figure out where all that shit is, just catch one of those Royal Knight dudes and beat 'em up until they tell you." Wesley suggests, but then he sits his incredibly heavy guitar onto his end of the table and stares down at it. "Or like, maybe I could summon lightning and hit their cyber thing with it and see what happens. I mean, like, weird stuff always happens when you hit technology with like, electricity."

"Or like, maybe we could piss Yggdrasil off into gettin' sloppy." He points a finger at all of the Digimon present. "I could like, uh, be your new god. I mean, I ain't a god yet, but I'm half god, so like, if I do that, maybe the thing'll come out to try an' kill me."

Rebound (750) has posed:
"That's a lot of mon, man." Rebound says, as she listens to Beelzebumon talk about the Royal Knights, "So basically we need to find these guys, wherever they might be, and use them to find a way into the new Digital World, where upon we can then kick their butts from there to wherever they wind up when we're done. So the hard part would be finding one of them, since they're kind of reclusive?"

Golden (782) has posed:
"The Royal Knights are pretty powerful. Just one of them is more than a match for two Ultimate level digimon. Maybe more, if my own experiences mean anything."
Golden listen to Alexis. "What about places where things turned up in the Multiverse? Like, could there be some kind of tracing thing to go back? Because I know where a bunch of pieces of the Digital World came through." He neglects to mention that he suspects he blew them through the warp gate himself.

Alexis has posed:
Alexis shrugs her shoulders a little to Golden. "Dunno. I'm not a meta-science nerd, I'm just repeating what I've heard said nerds say."

Doran (695) has posed:
Doran sighs softly as Beelzebumon stands toe-to-toe with Duke. "Don't. Alphamon's existance is another topic entirely and hardly relevant right now." He takes a few big bites of his food. "'Sides, since he didn't appear the last time, he probably won't show his face again. It's a non-issue anyway."

He nods to Rebound. "Yggdrasil's Royal Knights only move if there is a clear and present threat against their Digital World, or if Yggdrasil himself orders them directly. As we Exiles have been getting more active in the Multiverse, they've been getting uneasy... and curious. I suppose we could just keep doing what we've been doing and grab whoever shows up... but that could get interesting."

He laughs a bit at Wesley Wilson's suggestion. "I think I've had enough of gods for a while yet," he smirks, "and Yggdrasil doesn't care about that. Exiles have always been 'kill on sight', so he won't care if there's a new 'god' leading us. It'd just be one more to kill off."

Duke has posed:
"Ok.. so eleven." Duke says as correction as Beelzebumon explains thirteen, instead of twelve. His count was off. Maybe that was intentional or his faulty memory. Though when Beelzebumon jabs his finger against his chest, actually gets up to do this.

Duke just /stares/ dead on with the Demon Lord. There is allot of held tension right there as those gold eyes meet those red. Anyone old enough to have seen the famous Royal Knight Dukemon face off with the Demon Lord may--- actually feel a strange remembrance of this.

However Duke cuts his stare away even as his eyes flicker a bit of blue in them again. "Let us not worry about Alphamon, shall we?"

Duke then goes to actually /push/ Beelzebumon aside as he looks over to Wesley and Rebound. "Yes, we may be able to locate a Royal Knight if they should show themselves, but as Golden has said. They are powerful military leaders... and they are more likely to send their troops then actually come themselves."

"Which is the problem, because I am pretty sure the Royal Knights would end their subordinates before they could talk and secondly, they /don't/ die. Their data gets pulled back to the New Digital World... and that we haven't figured how to track yet... or if it even can be."

"That said, getting them to trip up... maybe, but I have no factual answers here." He has a sad tone in his voice. This is where he really isn't sure how to follow this up. Though his gaze goes to Golden. "Doubtful. Those pieces had the signature of the Old World in their code, it no longer would be under the same digital coding, so it no longer matters. Beyond just relics of a painful reminder that probably should be obliterated."

Doran thankfully also covers over some stuff as well, which echoes a touch of what he has said. Duke finding himself falling quiet, crossing his arms over his chest at last, lowering his head.

Rebound (750) has posed:
"Look I'll be honest." Rebound says as she looks between DUke and Beelzebumon, "I'm not really much in the way of 'tactical minded' or 'plans ahead for stuff'. I'm a horrible monster kangaroo of action." She points up at the air, "I would rather just call one of these assholes out and then punch them in the dick until they tell us what we want to know. But I suppose that's probably not the most viable option if they can just teleport away or whatever."

Beelzebumon (132) has posed:
Beelzebumon holds a steady gaze at Duke, stubborn in his refusal to believe in some mythical Digimon who managed to no-show throughout an entire /war/, before he is finally pushed aside. To this, he simply snorts and sits back down in his chair, before waving his hand dismissively.

"Besides, the only Royal Knight we've seen so far is Duftmon, Yggdrasil's premiere strategist. Of all the Royal Knights, he is the least likely to get baited into a trap."

Golden (782) has posed:
Golden uhs... "Well here's the logic I'm working with. If Digimon and the Digital World are made of up data like what's on that guy's portable computer," He points to a patron of the Bar & Grill that's elsewhere. "... then that means there's some kind of actual physical computer that Yggdrasil, all us Digimon, and the Digital World are on. Well, okay... /maybe/ that's not true given how weird the Multiverse is, but...
He takes a breath. "If that's true then that means Yggdrasil can't just make a new Digital World out of nothing; it'd be using the same computer as the old one to make the new world. Which could mean that there's a link somewhere from the old Digital World to the new Digital World." Of course this is really just wild speculation on Golden's part since he is not really an expert on such things.

Wesley Wilson (827) has posed:
"I could try and like, play guitar until they come out. Like, do the most epic and bitchin' guitar solo I can think of. Maybe it'll, like, do somethin' magical, and they'll come out." Wesley suggests, apparently having no idea if that'll work or not, shrugging. "Well, like, if you know where the old Digital World is at, why don't we just, like, hit it with lightning and see what happens?"

Alexis has posed:
Alexis sits up a bit... but Duke breaks off from the glaring contest with Beelzebumon before she actually has to get in and break it up. "What about followers then? Have there been any more of them besides Duftmon's cronies and that mutt of Yggdrasil's you keep grumbling about?"

Scorch, not having much interest in the current conversation, instead turns to lean on Rebound's shoulder. "Typhlosion. <No need to short change yourself, toots. I know plenty of 'monsters' that are almost as hot looking. And I'm a Fire type, I know hot looking.>"

"Feel free to slap the flamebutt if he's badgering you," Alexis remarks without even looking aside to them.

In turn Scorch points a stubby claw at her. <Leave the species I resemble outta this.>

Duke has posed:
Duke keeps his arms crossed and just listens to everyone. He is getting a bit of a headache really and he doesn't like getting headaches. He has come to learn those are cracks and locks, snapping open or mending themselves. He looks over to Rebound, "Sometimes the best tactic is an offensive one. We exiles just need to know that when the Royal Knights come, there will be ready for people to act, because they /will/ come."

"Duftmon is the true first sign of this, while the scout is dangerous... Duftmon is gathering information... and any time a tactician gains information, there is analysis going on... heavy one at that." He ignores Scorch though, his gaze moving over to Wesley. "It probably fry like any other part of the Multiverse. We are data made material. Unless you can get past the skin... and the layer under, you wont get to the code." He taps his own metal frame as he explains this.

Duke looks to Alexis, "We could keep an eye out for them and if we can find away to contain them... we may be able to get them to talk. Maybe." It was an idea after all!

He then looks to Golden, there was a flicker of blue in his eyes, then a long stare. He then closes his eyes as he speaks. "You could... be actually right." He says gently. "If we could get maybe... into the code, perhaps I am wrong..." He shakes his head softly. "In order to move one, you have to keep some system in place to covert the old data into the new data, so there could... no..."

Duke starts to pace a bit in thought, he starts to talk almost in a daze. "Project Ark," Those words slip past his lips. "He had to move everyone of the old world, thus all old data to the new world. That print could be actually on those pieces. Perhaps. It just take someone to look over that code and decipher it. Break it down to see if there is something tangible to use."

"Though the New World far exceed the old one and is far greater in size." Duke also adds before he realizes what he has said and freezes a bit, before he glances to the side. "At least... so over heard from some Exile.. so... it could be... just... a rumor too."

Beelzebumon (132) has posed:
Beelzebumon quirks an eye at Golden's suggestion, then glances over at Duke, "That... does make a lot of sense actually. Yggdrasil enacted his plan to destroy the old world /before/ we all Unified in the Multiverse... that means he had to have had some way to get his chosen few off that doomed world before he started scorching it, since he wouldn't have known or been able to predict the Warp Gates. Question is, where would that transfer point be, and is it still there and in usable condition?"

Wesley Wilson (827) has posed:
"They always say, like, Yggdrasil is the World Tree or whatever, in my world. You go hide in the tree until it's all over. So like..." Wesley shrugs his shoulders, then just casually suggests, "Maybe the like, transfer thing is in a big tree."

Golden (782) has posed:
Golden listens to Wesley. "Yeah, that'd be my guess." He adds.
He then says "I can show you guys where I unified... there was a big warp gate on the other end in the old Digital World, dunno if the Multiverse end is hiding or something." He grabs a stack of onion rings to snack on, not having too much to add.

Doran (695) has posed:
Doran closes his eyes for a while, ears twisting and twitching as he listens to each person as they speak up. As the discussion turns to possibly utilizing fragments of the Old Digital World to try to crack the encryption of the New Digital World, his ears flatten as his eyes open. "It sounds logical, and it might work with the right circumstances," he thinly grins at Wesley, "even electrocuting it to see how it reacts. Who knows, there may be a case of different worlds having the same idea and there /is/ a tree involved."

He shakes his head. "But if we start poking around, we're going to be poked back, and are any of us ready for that?" His eyes constrict. "I'd just as soon leave things alone, protect the Exiles that have been trying to make a new life for themselves. Gaonoir is still going to hunt them down, regardless of what we do or don't do." He shrugs with a flap of tiny black wings on his back. "But that's just me. Agree, disagree -- doesn't matter, and I don't care."

Duke has posed:
Duke is slipping he can hear voices in the back of his mind. This whole situation. This meeting.

What is the difference?! Chosen.. unchosen?! We are all Digimon! Don't they have that right as well...? Am I the only one who sees this?!

Duke's body tenses up as he looks away, his eyes narrowing before they close. Not now. Go away. Just go away. All you images and thoughts. Hidden history. All of you-- begone for just a bit more. He exhales a ragged breath, "And that is... the other problem we have, isn't it." He looks at Doran. "...even if we can find the key to unlocking this box... we don't have the ability to defend who have survived. The more we poke, the harder Yggdrasil could hit back. Right now... he is being careful on what he does."

He then looks at the non-Digimon, "But... you three are not us. If we prod, he knows what we are trying to do. If you three prod... he will be possibly confused by this. From my knowledge, Digimon don't understand the world outside of their own. There is a strong chance, that neither does he."

Alexis has posed:
"Which is probably why he's been careful to just send his pet spies first," Alexis agrees.

Wesley Wilson (827) has posed:
"Well, I just wanna fight some dudes anyway, that and it ain't cool messin' with people's, like, houses and stuff." Wesley looks over at Alexis, tilting his head, looking her up and down. Then he shrugs and grabs a box of pizza. "I'm gonna take this." he says as he begins to stand up, turning around to start heading for the door. His guitar just seems tok ind of float and follow him through the air.

Though he stops, looking back at Duke. "Like I said, that's what Scions are for. We fight Fate and like, break the universe, 'cause we're freakin' awesome. So if you need somebody to poke somethin', I've got it."

Beelzebumon (132) has posed:
Beelzebumon lets out a loud, dramatic sigh as he rocks back and forth on his chair, "As much as I would love to just bust down Yggdrasil's door and charge in, Dukeyboy has a point. If any of us Demon Lords or Exiles go knocking, Yggdrasil's first impulse will be to hit us with a bloody meteor, but if some other people from the Multiverse start poking around, he might hold back from provoking them with violence. The last thing he'll want is to get the Union or Confederacy wrapped up in this."

Duke has posed:
Duke gives a nod to Wesely. "Keep an ear open then. I'm sure your help, along with many others will be needed soon enough." He places up his hand in a slight wave, but he was quick to cross his arms over his chest again.

Doran (695) has posed:
Doran nods to Duke and Beelzebumon. "That, I completely agree with. "

As Wesley Wilson grabs a pizza box and heads out, the small wolf-dragon grins a bit. Still cautious, but not hostile at least. "Thank you." It's short, but it's all he feels he has to say. Time will tell whether Wesley will or won't help them when the chips are down, but he seems genuine. And Doran's been surprised by the Multiverse before, too.

Victory (810) has posed:
Talk. There has been plenty of that going around tonight. Talk of Digimon, the Multiverse, talk from allies, talk from possible enemies, but the problem with the location chosen was that all one could do is talk. During all of it, Victory had been lurking not far off, listening, waiting, occasionally glancing, but keeping well out of sight for the duration. There was a lot of information here that was being taken in, but a particular sight between two of the people that had arrived actually causes the former knight-errant to narrow her eyes. It's followed only by a frustrated breath, remembering again, what this place is. A place for talk. And food, sure, but in a way it was more frustrating than not.

"This world is complicated," she notes to whoever may hear her where she is. "Roam it as long as some of us have, however, and you start to pick up on a lot of things," she continues, sending a long, cold, stare toward Duke. "Keeping clear of the 'big dogs' is a safe bet, but picking one for protection doesn't hurt, either, you know. Sooner or later, they'll notice." A gruff snort. "They always do anyway. Staying solitary forever is just going to bite back eventually. You may want to think about that," Random facts! Random observations. Random advice?

Duke has posed:
Duke's gaze follows to the voice. Oh yes--- the mercenary. He remembers her. "And grouping up right now also makes a larger target to be exterminated with ease." A comment Golden has heard Duke explain before.

"Victory, right?" He asks her with his head being held up slightly. "Glad you could join us."

Beelzebumon (132) has posed:
"Let's not forget that not all Exiles are sane, or who might be so desperate to go back that they'd turn on their friends. That crazy Cerberumon bitch for example, or the samurai chicken that tried to kill fuzzbutt over there," Beelzebumon adds as he swings around on his chair to put his feet up on the table, before looking over at Victory.

"Plus who know how many Exiles are willing to put up with /me/?"

Golden (782) has posed:
Golden glances at Victory, unfamiliar with this particular digimon. Then back to matters at hand. "Lots more of them want to be left alone so they can enjoy living. I guess it /would/ be a good idea to get the Multiverse to check things out first."

Alexis has posed:
"Yeah, well." Alexis leaned back in her chair. "Y'all know the ranch is open if you need a place to crash for a few days. Yes, even you." She waves a hand vagely in Beelzebumon's direction before folding them both behind her head.

Victory (810) has posed:
The cold gaze doesn't seem to soften at all at Duke's response. She doesn't really give much thought to the others that she'd been listening to for the last while. Beel.. well, if this was anywhere else she'd have already tried to do something. The rest, for the moment, she was mostly indifferent toward. It was just something Duke had done earlier that, for some reason, seems to have caused the mercenary to go frigid toward him. "I'm here for the information," she finally notes, gaze slipping back to whatever she had been looking at before. Probably some sports-related thing on one of the billion TVs that was in the Bar and Grill. What kind of Bar wouldn't have TVs anyway? She does note the invitation to the ranch again, recalling where it was for at least a moment. In an emergency, sure, why not? Though she couldn't imagine th Syndicate suddenly being a problem for her.

Doran (695) has posed:
Doran blinks and leeeeeeans back in his chair. Oh, that's the strange white VictoryGreymon he hadn't had the opportunity to talk to since she showed up that one time... "Point." His chair snaps back down onto all four legs with a wooden SNAP as he looks back at Duke. "Counterpoint." He grins over at Beelzebumon. "Added point."

He doesn't seem to care about the new stare-off between Victory and Duke, nor about the nickname courtesy of the Demon Lord. Beelzebumon's nicknames is probably an attempt to get under one's skin, or some backhanded 'I give a shit about you' kind of thing. "Can't gather together too big, otherwise they'll get us all at once. Can't pull the lone-wolf, 'cause they'll pick us off one-by-one." Another shrug, another snatch of food to munch on. Hungry little bugger, isn't he? "Might as well pair off or something. Just enough to watch each others' backs, not enough to pull Yggdrasil's attention."

He nods over to Alexis at her reminder about the ranch. "And that's been a big help, Alexis. We've been fortunate nobody's tried to poke around over there yet... but with everyone you've got there as it is, who'd want to?" That's what he keeps telling himself, at least.

Beelzebumon (132) has posed:
Little of column A, little of column B. What can Beelzebumon say? Duke and Doran make things interesting!

Duke has posed:
"Bleezebumon is also correct." Duke adds in. "He is-- as mcuh as I hate to say it..." then the Knight digimon sighs. "Our best bet if the Royal Knights do suddenly show up, but yes. We Digimon we'll have to leave the investigation into the digital world into the hands of you people of the Multiverse."

His gaze looks to Alexis and Rebound who remain. "If you to could let the Union know of this. I'd be glad. I'm sure they have some resources they can do to poke around. Maybe." He shrugs gently. "Its worth a shot right?"

The he wonders how much of that code there is code a normal program can read and how much of its the 'dead' Digimon language.

He looks to Victory. "Then have you gathered the information you are after?" He goes to walk toward her, his stride was true. He was--- perhaps unaware of any issues. "Also I was hoping we could work together some time again. Alexis place is safe and I'm not sure where you been bunking but..."

He would offer Golden, but there are hints that Golden has been with the Ponies and he is plenty safe there if that is the case.

Rebound (750) has posed:
Rebound has been rather quiet for the moment though when Duke asks if they can relay the info to the Union, she glances at Alexis, "Might be best if you bring it up, you're the one who's been around longer and knows more about these types of things, I think." She says, "But if you need help looking into it, I'm definitely game."

Beelzebumon (132) has posed:
"I'm the greatest hope anyone has of defeating the Royal Knights, huh? Man, now that's a depressing thought." Beelzebumon says with a half smirk as he tilts his head back.

Duke has posed:
"Shush." Duke quips back at Beelzebumon pointing at him. "Just... shush..." Mostly cause Beelzebumon is very away of a dirty little secret. Including a few others here. Duke gives a nod to Rebound. "You have my thanks then...."

Victory (810) has posed:
"Syndicate. As I said, I would rather have a dog when fighting two others," she states before glaring up toward Duke. Pause. Staaaaaaaaaaaare. "Again?"

Duke has posed:
"Trumpet Frog and Samurai Mobster Idiot who cheated you out of money?" Duke responds back to Victory.

Victory (810) has posed:
That response actually causes SOME of the coldness to fade. Not all of it, but at least some of the edge is gone. "Ah." Recompose thoughts. "I haven't visited this ranch yet. I'll think about it."

Golden (782) has posed:
Golden ehs. "If I got my data restored, I'd also be a real pain in the butt for the Royal Knights." He silently adds to himself that if /that/ happened, everybody would know who he was.
He watches the exchange between Victory and Duke. "Oh get a title card already if you're going to butt heads."

Doran (695) has posed:
Doran scratches at the back of his ear with a short foreleg, twisting himself around slightly to do so. He is absolutely not concerned about Duke and Victory, though laughs a bit at Golden's reaction to their back-and-forth.

"It'd be nice to talk with you sometime, Victory, but I'd better find Ryuu and update him about our meeting. He couldn't come this time." He nods to the building's structure. "Couldn't fit. That Ouryuumon is pretty big for the Multiversal scale."

He grabs a plastic bag from one of the waiter kiosks and stuffs some food into it. Not a lot, but enough to probably keep him satisfied for a while yet. "Unless there's anything else?"

Duke has posed:
Duke looks over to Golden, "...Huh?" He doesn't get it. It goes right over his armor skull head, though his gold eyes look over to Doran. "Nothing else from me currently. I covered what I wanted too, it is simply now a waiting game."

"Again." Duke grunts. He hates waiting. "...at least it will give me more time to train..." And figure out how to control that Evolving to his actual form.... then if he figures that out, remaining in it. That-- will be the real test.

"We all good?" He asks tilting his head to the side.

Beelzebumon (132) has posed:
Beelzebumon pulls his boots off the table and stands up, then stretches out for a moment, "Yeah, we're all good I think, at least on the matter of Yggdrasil, so I'll let you guys work out your little unresolved issues with each other. I on the other hand am gonna find a bar that I can actually start a fight in."

With that, Beelzebumon starts towards the door.

Victory (810) has posed:
A long pause, and then Victory shrugs, "For now," she answers, not certain who Duke was asking, but the answer is still given. Doran at LEAST gets a nod of acknowledgement..

Golden (782) has posed:
Golden looks at the departing people and then gets a waiter. "Hey, can you box all this?" He gestures to all the uneaten food.
