Courier Six (32) has posed:
The Qualifer Round wasn't the biggest draw just yet, but there's a former champion here! As well as the champion of New Vegas in general.

But it's not Johnathon Tallbranch out in the fields today. No sir. Today it's the Cowboy Courier. But there's little that looks like a cowboy right now. The figure in the fields is clad head to tow in the heavy armor of a Mojave Ranger, the old riot gear cobbled together out of Old World tech left over in the Boneyards and Lost Angels. All that's not covered by the armor is the man's face.

Mr. Tallbranch looks cheery as he waves up to the crowds and cameras, as an advertisement for the New Vegas Tourism and Convention Board plays in the background.

Victory (810) has posed:
If it was further than the qualifier rounds, Victory probably would have had some music to hearld her into the battle area. Instead, she's opted out, instead allowing the Multiverse to catch their first glimpse of the tall digimon warrior silently striding into view. She's a good sport, at least. She loves this kind of thing had plans to make sure that the crowds here, and beyond, would have a good show. The massive blade at her back is taken in one hand, pointed at the camera, at Six, floursied about, then is settled against her back again. Cheers, boos, it doesn't matter. She smiles knowing that the world can at least see her debut, here, before moving onto the MCW afterward.

With that little 'showcase' done, she sets her sights on the courier. She's been around the Multiverse long enough to know not to underestimate -anyone-. "Lets put on a show, alright?"

Courier Six (32) has posed:
A dragonlady! Well, Johnny can't say he hasn't fought something like her before, but the deathclaws he fights aren't usually wearing shinyass armor, nor are they this articulate.

HORRIBLE PREJUDICES ASIDE, the Courier salutes the Mon lazily, and grins. "Well, we'll see about the show. I might jus' get stomped in the dirt, you know." A chuckle that's cut off as he slides the helmet over his head, the seal hiissss-clicking into place. The Red lenses of the helmet engage, casting a cold look on the Wastes, and the speaker in the helmet crackles. "Beauty before age."

That said, the Courier's hands slide beneath the coat sewn into the armor, and draw out a very heavy looking energy pistol of some sort that drizzles green fire from the tip.

Victory (810) has posed:
The comments from the courier cause the 'mon to smirk a little, "Or I may end up full of holes, one or the other," she says, trying to be a good sport, before shrugging at his offer. "If you insist," she finishes before taking a step, another, and then she dashes for Johnny, simply looking to introduce him to her fist. Simple, right?

Courier Six (32) has posed:
If Johnny was expecting anything different to start, he doesn't show it. That punch is swift, decisve and strong. The Courier's free hand lifts up to try and catch it, at least, but the motion drives him back into the dirt, furrows kicking up from the force of it. Nothing broken though.

The speaker crackles. "Not bad." But now Victory is in close and Johnny simply lifts the plasma pistol up into the lady's chest and dumps off an entire clip.

Victory (810) has posed:
"Thanks," Victory quips back, just before the pistol unloads into her at nearly point-blank range. The quick series of blasts causes her to stumble back, leaving marks in the previously unblemished armor. ".. That wasn't that bad, either," she compliments before rushing in again. This cowboy was probably going to use his weapons a lot, and she had her options, but for now she was more interested in keeing close. Instead of another punch, she turns a shoulder, leans forward, and simply tries to run right through the man.

Courier Six (32) has posed:
Everyone thinks that, all the time, really ,but Johnny's not just a weapons guy. He's a man of SCIENCE! Of reasoning and thought. And more over, he's not a push over. There's pretty stern stuff inside the man.
The armor creaks and shudders as he's TACKLED, but he does not break. He bends! And with a subtle shift and a rather hefty hiss of exhalation through that mask, silently tries to turn the tackle into a Hip Toss, dumping Victory over into the dirt with a heavy throw.

Victory (810) has posed:
While she has encountered a lot of fighting techniques, she's never actually dealt with someone that can JUDO the larger digimon. The subsequent redirection of her momentum landing her on the back, on the ground, with a WHUD, causes her to blink. A glance is given the man over her, she actually -laughs-, then she kips up. In a quick motion, the large sword at her back is drawn and she spins around with it, the flat of it looking to bash the courier to one side.

Courier Six (32) has posed:
Johnny's able to catch the sword coming out at least, and ducks most of the way under the swipe, a scrrrraaaaaape noise getting away for the attack as it scores the top of that helmet and rings his ears.

Another raspy Darth-Vader breath from the mask and his hands flutter under that cloak again, and that Pip Boy on his arm flashes. The hands come back out carrying a heavy, techy looking staff. He snarls, audible over the speaker and slamms the base of it into the ground to activate it.

A sickly purple energy blade unfolds at the top, as the Protonic Inversion Axe comes to life. He wastes little time, aiming the hateful weapon at Victory's midsection.

Victory (810) has posed:
The sound of metal against metal cries out. For a moment, Victory enjoys a small amount of satisfaction. However, when the axe and her armor meet, the digimon finds herself stumbling back. "Impressive weapon," she comments, giving the weapon a once over before placing both her hands to the hilt of her own sword. "Lets get serious then, shall we?"

She doesn't wait for an answer. Instead, she comes in with a strong horizontal slash. She lets the momentum of the swing spin her about, her tail going low for a sweep, before the blade comes around again, this time arcing diagonally upward.

Courier Six (32) has posed:
Well if you wanted to catch Johnny off balance, this was it. The Courier's armor doesn't save him from this one entirely, the slashing and bashing spin sends him sprawling into the dirt, and he luckily has the foresight to swat the axe off so he doesn't land on the blade. That said, he gets up with a massive gash in the front of the Ruot Armor, and a glint in those red lenses.

Silence though, as he charges back in, the axe sliding back open again. Sickly blacklight casts a dull sheen on the arena, and there's a lighter sight of blood tickling through the gash of his armor as he comes back in, with a heavy swing.

It's not a graceful motion. It's not that of a martial artist. It's a lumberjack's swing. It's meant to take off hunks of armor and flesh. It's meant to hurt.

Victory (810) has posed:
After her assault has finished, Victory slips back into a ready position, her eyes locked onto the Courier. When the man charges back in and the swing is made, the sword she uses is moved to intercept. It doesn't stop the blow fully, the axe biting into her side at the protest of her blade. With her weapon busy, the digimon warrior pushes against the axe for a moment, then attempt to place her armored lower leg against Johnny's frame.

Courier Six (32) has posed:
The Courier is at least able to stop that one in its tracks, only barely, catching the kick in the gut, the armor there creaking and bending with the force, and this time the ground deforms under him. Thanks DBZ Zone physics.

The speaker crackles. "Ain't had to use this so early in a long while." He draws a big ass 12.7mm Pistol, the Pip Boy flashes and-

Something guides his hand, as the Courier starts firing deadeye shots on Victory, the pistol barking fast and clinical and precise.

Victory (810) has posed:
Blade free, Victory slips back to her ready position, but she isn't quite ready for the sheer size of the weapon that Six pulls free. She does turn the blade to its flatside, trying to deflect at least a few of the bullets, but the high caliber weapon manages to make its mark on the fighter. A catch in her thigh, another to her arm, and the force of the rest leaves the digimon with a few 'glitchy' areas, code peeking through.
With the ante suitibly raised, Victory suddenly splits the Dramon Breaker into a pair of blades. The flurry that follows is both vicious and smooth in multiple strikes she makes. One from the side, then from the other, before both try to cross the armor again, though at the opposite angle from before.

Courier Six (32) has posed:
And it isn't anything the Courier hasn't had before. This is turning into the Satsuki fight all over again, only with a dinosaur instead of a scantily clad lady.

Johnny's still standing at least, but there's bits and pieces of the armor strewn across the landscape, and bits of Johnny are showing through the gear now. Ain't what he was hoping for, by any means.

The helmet crackles again. "Didn't expect this tough a match straight away, young lady." He chuckles, picks up the Axe again, and steps in. This time it's a more defensive stance, aimingto keep the staff of the axe inwards and protect himself more. THat's not to say he's not taking a swing here and there though. He does plant his feet for another heavy swing agai-

Wait no. As the man spins in place to swing, his free hand comes around with that pistol again, aiming a shot at one of those glitchybits.

Victory (810) has posed:
And a potent strike is made! Victory falls for the faint completely as both the blades move to parry the axe away. When her momentum finds only air, and puts her just barely off balance, it's the opening needed for Johnny to fire his weapon. It's enough for Victory to let out a small yelp and a sharp wince afterward. "Smart," she manages to reply before one blade is jammed into the ground, and then the free hand quickly affixes the other blade to her gauntlet.
"My turn," she warns before the weapon is pointed toward the courier. The orange glow racing down the blade -can't- be good. A moment later an orange blast rockets off the blade, trying to catch the man in the chest.

Courier Six (32) has posed:
That blast doesn't catch him in the chest, it catches him in the head, and the faceplate of the armor is cracked open, a hiss of air escaping the sealed compartment. The Courier's scorched face can be seen through the opening, and the speaker is broke, but he's... laughing? Yep. Laughing.

"WHAT A FIGHT!" He happy-snarls, and turns in plac,e another flourish and...

This time as he comes out, there's a heavy, heavy HEAVY looking widget on his hand. It's a gauntlet of some sort with a powered something or oth-
And with a simple spinning straight punch, the Corier slams the fist against Victory, the energy drive of the Saturnine Fist CLUNK-CLACKing into life, and blasting the Mon with a wave of kinetic energy. WHUMP.

Victory (810) has posed:
With the shot fired, Victory moves to reassemble her weapon back into its much larger, single bladed, self. She actually didn't expect the courier to rise so quickly. She hears the comment, turns to smile at him, but that's when the massive first of his weapon finds her frame. Between the momentum of the punch and the wave of energy that follows, the digimon is actually seen careening through the air, smashes through one of the Gizard Wasteland rock outcroppings, and comes crashing down on the other side, chest down, with a very loud -thud- amidst the dust and rocks crashing down as a result.
"Ow.." is the first word out of her. Her arms slip under her and this time she's slow to push up and climb back to her feet. In fact, she uses her weapon to steady her rise. "That was a good one," she calls over to Johnny. After taking a small moment to gather herself, she surges back toward the man.

As she goes, the point of the blade is held out ahead of her. However, a few yards back, the digimon lunges slightly upward. That big sword is brought down in a strong diagonal slash, but the momentum of it, and a hard twist of Victory's body, makes the second rotation that much more vicious.

Courier Six (32) has posed:
Johnny... punches. He punches the sword with the Power Fist, his arm lashing up to try and blunt the attack, but it's pretty much futile at this point. The big dragon lady was just too much.

And laughing, laughing under the helmet he waves his free hand. "Uncle, Uncle, I give, I give."
Wait, he's conceeding? I guess so. "Young lady, you're gonna go far if you keep that up. Ow."

Victory (810) has posed:
When she comes down from her lunging assault, she's about to strike again, or at least prepare to block, but when Johnny tosses in the towel, she slowly settles the blade to her back and offers the man a hand of her own, either to help him up or to shake, whichever is more prudent. "Thank you, I hope you do well wherever you go."
