Date of Scene: 30 March 2016
Location: Spira(AOA)
Synopsis: White Berserker visits Spira and is introduced to Home.
Cast of Characters: Bahamut, 946

Bahamut has posed:
A trip Home. Bahamut has not been there in months. Or...perhaps a year? He isn't sure. But, taking a trip there with a formidable woman should be interesting. He just hopes the seemingly classy woman does not react badly to Home.

Bahamut has asked White Berserker to meet him in front of the Temple of Bahamut. It is the largest building in the city, located right in the middle of the city. The building itself is a sphere the size of several city blocks, and at the designated front are a set of doors tall enough that even Bahamut could walk through with plenty of head room. Seemingly every building in the city is made of alabaster stone, and as the name Bevelle suggests, much of the architecture consists of sharp angles and smooth sides.

Bahamut is standing in front of those huge doors, his arms crossed over his chest in a typical heroic pose. People walk past him without stopping or staring, though many offer a bow or a respectful nod as they pass.

White Berserker (946) has posed:
White Berserker's shuffling along the road towards the expected meet up point, the white wedding dressed woman with the large mace and metal upon her body getting a few looks from the Spiran natives. She adjusts her hair a bit, covering her heterochromatic eyes. "Mmm. They... seem uneasy..." she mutters to herself, looking around a bit more, "Even... after that day." a frown is given and she shuffles on and proceeds forward, holding that large mace in both hands.

It doesn't take her too long to get to the Temple of Bahamut, the visuals of the building sinking into her vision. It gives a new meaning to majestic as she slowly approaches it. "Big..." she whispers, her eyes looking around more and more, until they fall on the heroic posing dragon. Giving a brief smile she shuffles up on towards him, giving a light wave.

    "Baha...mut..."

Bahamut has posed:
Many people do notice White Berserker, and many more stare at her eyes. A couple of children giggle happily and try to get closer, but their parents politely usher them along. When she reaches the temple, Bahamut grins at her looking over the architecture. He lets his arms relax as she approaches, then lowers himself down on one knee so he can carefully take her hand. "Lady White Berserker. It is good to see you again." he says, then blinks as he notices the heterochromia. He smirks lightly after that. "I suppose you got nearly as many looks as I when you walked through the city. The most famous summoner of our world has eyes such as yours. She is the savior who brought about the end of Sin and Yu Yevon, sparing Spira from the endless death and destruction both represented."

He carefully leans forward so he can place a kiss on the back of White Berserker's hand. "Are you able to fly, Lady White Berserker? If not, I will glady be your ride to Home." the big dragon says, his colorful wings spreading to demonstrate his majesty and how easy flight is for him.

White Berserker (946) has posed:
Her hand is taken and she tilts her head, "Aah..aah.. Your worlds summoner?" she questions, listening a bit more before nodding. "She... was a protector? She protected... Spira?" she gives a brief smle and might be blushing slightly from that kiss, a small electrical charge giving a small zap to the dragon's lips. "I... cannot fly. Nor... do I have... riding skills..." she frowns slightly, looking around, "I may... not be able... to ride."

Those wings do get a good look, her hand reaching out to try and touch them. "Large... wings..."

Bahamut has posed:
Bahamut nods at the first few questions. "She was known as Lady Yunalesca, named after the first summoner who brought the first Calm to our world. So, I suppose it was appropriate that a Yunalesca was the one to bring the Final Calm." he says, then smiles gently. "Lady Yuna, as she was called, is a half-Al Bhed, and many say she is one of the most lovely women in the world today. Of course, today she has a competitor." He grins after that, then chuckles. "Riding skills are not necessary. I will carry you, Lady White Berserker." he says, then holds out both arms.

WB can likely see that he means to carry her like a hero would a lady. Cradled in his arms, safe and sound. "Of course, if you have an objection to being carried by Bahamut, we can call an airship." he says, though his playful grin and tone make it clear he would prefer to carry her.

White Berserker (946) has posed:
Carry? She's going to get carried? Well, wait... she's lovely? Compared to the major woman in this world? White Berserker leans in, and takes both arms, giving him a nod of her head, permission to scoop her up properly for the flight. "I... I have no... objection to this." she mutters, giving a smile again, "Please?" she asks, allowing herself to be taken upwards into those arms. "I... have never... flown with dragonkind."

It's here she looks around, "Can you... tell me more... about Lady Yuna... and Lady Yunalesca?"

Bahamut has posed:
Bahamut carefully gathers White Berserker into his arms, then stands tall. "You might want to hang on for the take off." he says, then starts to crouch. Like a spring being compressed his legs bend as he crouches. One can practically feel the power within his body as he prepares to take off.

And, just like a spring being suddenly released, he leaps into the sky. Those wings spread and start to flap powerfully. They quickly gain altitude, soaring like a rocket into the air before he levels off and heads west. They lose none of their speed, and the land below them quickly gives way to vast ocean shimmering in the late afternoon sun. The wind rushes past them violently until with a few uttered words Bahamut casts a Barrier spell to shield WB from the effects.

After that, it is a peaceful flight. Clouds rush past, the water below forms a perfect carpet of beautiful blue. Bahamut flies carefully for now, letting WB get used to flying with him.

White Berserker (946) has posed:
White Berserker holds on tightly to the arms, holding herself close as she's scooped up and readied for take off. Now, she has no ranks in riding, but this... is different. When those legs bend into the crouch, her eyes go wide. She nods and when the release sends them into the air, she clings a bit tighter to those arms, holding her head away from the sudden rush of wind to her face. As soon as the barrier spell is done, she turns around and looks down.

"Pretty..." she whispers, looking at the rushing water and clouds, a view she has only read about. "Stories... do not... compare to... this view." she gives a smile, leaning in. "So... pretty." she turns back up to look at the dragon carrying her. "This... is flight... it's... pretty." she comments, "Could... you tell me about... your summoners?"

Bahamut has posed:
Bahamut can't help but grin a bit as he hears White Berserker. "I have yet to get tired of the view. I enjoy sharing it with others." he says, then rumbles lightly. "The summoners. I am afraid it turned out that the original Lady Yunalesca was part of Yu Yevon's devious plan. She did bring about a Calm, but she did so by sacrificing her friends and becoming an undead creature herself. Something we call an Unsent in this world. A human who has died but somehow avoided becoming a fiend and retained their human form." Bahamut shakes his head lightly as he pauses. "Lady Yuna...she wanted to end the cycle. Whenever a summoner brought about the Calm, it lasted only a few years before another summoner had to make the pilgrimage. Those summoners and their guardians would often not return alive, sacrificed to pacify Sin for a few short years. But, the people knew no other way. Sin would kill thousands every month it existed, and a few years reprieve was enough for most people to not look into it. But, Lady Yuna, she discovered the truth. That the summoners weren't killed by Sin in an epic battle. They died when they offered up one of their guardians, and that guardian was transformed into the Final Aeon."

Bahamut blinks as he realizes he may have gotten off subject. He shakes his head at himself and chuckles. "Forgive me. You wanted to know about the summoners, not their quest. But, the two are so intertwined that it is hard to separate them. Lady Yuna defeated Lady Yunalesca, which meant that no more Final Aeons could be created. Then, she and her guardians went -into- Sin and defeated Yu Yevon. He was a dark creature, once human, who was once a great summoner himself. The first summoner, in fact. As it turned out, he was using Sin as a way to keep himself alive indefinitely. Lady Yuna defeated him and brought about the Eternal Calm. She and her guardians are the greatest heroes in the history of our world."

White Berserker (946) has posed:
White Berserker gives a bit of a nod, listening. "The view is... nice." she replies, before going back silent to listen to the dragon's rumblings. "So... your summoners... sacrificed themselves... to bring peace for your world. Until Lady Yuna... killed the one who caused it all." she thinks, "So she... found... Yu... Yevon... and killed him. An unsent..." she thinks a moment, her head looking back down towards the ocean and clouds, giving a slight nod.

"Yu... Yevon was summoner... but unsent... so Lady Yuna... killed him to free everyone. What happened... to Lady Yuna?"

Bahamut has posed:
Bahamut smiles ever so slightly as White Berserker goes over the details in her mind. "Well, Yu Yevon was not an unsent. He was..." He thinks a moment, then shakes his head. "No one knows what he was when Lady Yuna found him. I suppose a demon or necromancer would be the best description. He was no longer human. He was the heart of Sin, gathering the souls of the dead to him to form Sin in order to protect himself and ensure that his existence continued."

Bahamut snorts in anger at the thought. "But, once he was defeated, Lady Yuna and her Guardians returned to us. From what I understand, she is now residing where her journey began. On the small island of Besaid." He seems quite happy that Yuna and her guardians survived. Well, all but two. "As a result of Yu Yevon being destroyed, the very thing that gave summoners their power disappeared. The Fayth, who were the hearts of the Aeons that summoners called to do battle. But, before they disappeared, the Fayth bestowed their powers on people. They knew that their might would still be needed, even in a Sin-free world."

Bahamut pauses as the desert sand of Bikanel Island comes into view, then he continues. "I am one such individual. I was bestowed with the powers of Bahamut, an Aeon generally considered to be one of the strongest and purest of Aeons. It transformed me from an Al Bhed to this draconic form. After the destruction of Yu Yevon and the subsequent collapse of the Temple of Yu Yevon, the people needed new things to believe in. They did not believe much of what Yuna and her guardians said. How could they? The cycle of Sin had been going for so long...they couldn't accept that it might be over. So, I took up residence in the Temple of Bahamut. It made people feel better to know that an Aeon still existed, and that he would be there to defend them."

They reach the coast, and Bahamut increases altitude a bit. A few moments later it is clear why. Huge fiends populate the island, as well as roving robots and cactus creatures. They can be seen moving over the sand dunes. It isn't long after that that the ruins of Home come into view. It is obvious that it was once a fortress made entirely of metal. But, all that remains now are massive plates that have been blown off the frames, and the skeleton of the underground facility. Near the crater, there is a small camp of metal buildings. It is there that Bahamut aims to land.

White Berserker (946) has posed:
White Berserker nods slightly, listening. "Mm. Then it is good.... it is gone." she comments, listening to the dragon some more. "The thing... that kept..." she pauses, what was she going to say... "Mmm. the Summoners going on... left? When ... Sin was defeated?" she frowns slightly, but when the pause is given, she looks and stares at the island. And when the coast comes into view... she spies the Fiends and clutches a hand upon the Bridal Chest. "Shall... we destroy them?"

Though when the altitude increases, she lets go slightly of the Bridal Chest, turning up towards Bahamut. "The... Fayth... transformed people... into Aeons? Into summons? Servants?" she questions, "People the... Summoners called on for help?" she pauses slightly, listening.. "So you... are a beacon... for their faith... to calm them." she's putting a few things together in her head, though, the transformation from a human to something like Bahamut... confuses her.

"Are there other people.... who were changed like you?"

Bahamut has posed:
"I have yet to meet one, but I am quite certain that every Fayth bestowed their power on someone." he says, then heads in to land. The metal buildings have people working around them, constructing new robots and better girders for what will eventually become Home again. "Summoners are no longer able to call Aeons. I, and the others like me, are independent. But, I accepted the responsibility of being an Aeon, a guardian of this world. My old life is gone. I am glad to serve the world with this new life."

Bahamut sets White Berserker down, then chuckles. "I do not know why I transformed, but then again, it makes sense. This is how Bahamut looked when he was summoned by summoners. I suppose it is only natural that one bestowed with the powers of Bahamut would gain the same form." Bahamut then looks out over the desert. "The fiends here, while dangerous, know to stay away from this area. The defenders of Home are powerful. No normal fiend could hope to defeat them. We have batallions of robots and a small fleet of airships to keep them at bay if they tried." He then looks back to White Berserker and smiles before gesturing at the collection of buildings. "For now, this is Home. The Al Bhed, my people, survive here. We are intent on rebuilding, to show the world that Sin's and Yu Yevon's destructive actions will not hold the world back. We will recover, and our world will one day be full of peace."

A moment after they have landed, a young girl, likely still in her mid-teens, dashes up to Bahamut. "Junko!" she exclaims, then grins. Her bright blond hair, done up in twin ponytails that hang down to her back, flutters in the desert wind. Thick welding goggles cover her eyes, and the trappings of a mechanic cover her body. "About time you visited! I thought we'd seen the last of you when you sprouted wings and flew off for Bevelle!" Whoever this girl is, she obviously knows Bahamut, or Junko as she called him.

White Berserker (946) has posed:
White Berserker gives a brief nod, listening. "So there... may be but... you aren't sure..." she gives a soft nod, looking towards the landing point. The metal buildings and the like... the robots... the girders... the rebuilding of Home. "So you... help because you want to help..." she gives a brief nod and lets metal boots tap on metal as she's set down. "So... you do... not need to... destroy the Fiends... around Home?"

She looks out towards where they came from, giving a smile, "I... hope everything... goes well... for you Bahamut." she comments, turning around to look around the area. Though with the dashing teen coming towards them in the odd garments, she clutches the Bridal Chest and attempts to interpose herself between Bahamut and the odd girl. "Who.... are you to.... come near....?"

Bahamut has posed:
The girl blinks at White Berserker, then hmphs. "Who am I? I'm Aiko! Junko's sister! Just because he's some big scary dragon now doesn't mean he isn't my brother anymore!" she says. Bahamut can't help but laugh in amusement as WB interposes herself between them. He reaches to gently rest a clawed hand on WB's shoulder. "There is no need to be wary of Aiko. She is exhuberant, but hardly dangerous. I had a life here before I became Bahamut. My family were all engineers and mechanics, and Aiko and I are the last of our family after the destruction of Home. But, we can discuss all of that over dinner."

Bahamut moves past White Berserker and scoops up Aiko, giving her a firm hug. The girl seems a bit squished, but hugs back as best she can. "Hey, I can cook now!" she declares, which earns a skeptical look from Bahamut as he sets her down. "I will believe it when I see it. As I recall, you could burn water before I left." he says, then motions for White Berserker to follow them into one of the buildings.
