A Long Respite's End ft. Raha and Inga
Date of Scene: 10 July 2020
Location:
Synopsis:
Cast of Characters: N'raha Tia, Inga

N'raha Tia has posed:
Never call things a vacation. That's N'raha's motto. Because in the Multiverse, calling things a vacation means things will go wrong immediately. Which is why this... extended break... was not a vacation. It had been 'a long distance patrol'. To sunny parts of the Multiverse and away from Eorzea for a while.
Which is why the catteman is currently leaning up on the edge of a rail, looking over at a massive cascading waterfall in some part of... A Japan. He wasn't sure which one at this point. The hot springs next to him was currently occupied, of course, and there was food nearby, and... well.

Yes, clearly an extended patrol of the nice bit of Japan.
Raha sips on his drink, and then looks over his shoulder. "You okay in there, Inga?"

Inga has posed:
Vacation is a bit of a strange concept for Inga. There's simply times when there is a lot of work to be done, and times when there are not. But she does think she could get used to this vacation thing.

Inga is floating in the hotspring in her shift, on her back and staring up at the blue sky through the verdant leaves, her hair drifting around her in a white cloud.

His words reach her through the filter of the water, sounded muffled and distorted. She turns her head, lifting her ears out of the water. "Hmm?" she asks, blinking hazel eyes, clearly in a languid state.

N'raha Tia has posed:
"I asked if you were okay in there." Raha snorts, takes another drink out of the wooden cup and then shifts himself away from the waterfall and over to the pool, slipping his legs inside the onsen. "I was making sure that you weren't going to fall asleep in there or something, fair lady." He splashes a bit of water with his free hand, his trunks getting soaked as he hefts the rest of himself into the water, his scarred chest sighing from the heat. "Gods."

Inga has posed:
With apparent reluctance, Inga rightens herself and gathers up her hair, twisting it all together and pulling it over one shoulder, drifting over toward him as he slides into the hot spring to lean forward and rest her head on his shoulder. "Mmm, I think perhaps I am in dagner of dissolving," she replies with a soft laugh. "I should likely cool down," she adds, though she makes no move to get out of the water. Her eyes drift toward the waterfall. The water there is surely cool.

She raises her hands to look at the skin of her fingertips, chuckling lightly at the wrinkles.

N'raha Tia has posed:
With a goodnatured 'oof' at the leaning, Raha's arm shifts a bit to cup around Inga's waist and hold her there a bit. A sigh. "We're going to have to start making forays into Ishgard again, you know. Proper forays, to meet with the nobs and such. Rub elbows with Nobility."
He reaches up and taps Inga on the nose. "I know you don't hold a lot of truck with that, but, well. We'll need the support." He sighs quietly, and sips on his sake.

Inga has posed:
Inga nods her understanding, shrugging her shoulders. "Oh, I have plenty of experience with nobility. I have no real aversion, so long as we are respected appropriately," she comments with a small shrug. "I've even made a few dresses--and some clothing for you," she informs him. "We'll need information first though. Me must know those of influence, more about the political climate...well, you understand. We need a connection."

N'raha Tia has posed:
Raha arches an eyebrow, and smiles. "You... made me... fancy clothes. I know I ought to be keeping a better eye on you." He snickers and presses a kiss into Inga's hair, and then sighs. "Auphinaud and the others are making noises like they've got some angles, but.... but it remains to be seen what we need to be doing to get done. There's no way that the... whatever the hell sort of Bahamut that was is going to keep away for long. We DO need to move."

Inga has posed:
Inga smiles slyly. "When it comes to dealing with people one must keep in mind expectations and impressions. While I know you have formal clothes...it IS quite cold there," she replies, looking sheepishly to the side for a moment "and I will enjoy dressing you," she admits.

"Indeed, it is likely time. Check with the Scions, see what connections can be found. It is likely we shall need a sort of...sponsor. Someone who can formally introduce us (and the others who wish to be part of this) to society."

N'raha Tia has posed:
There's a grin on Raha's fangs, as he hears 'dressing you'. "Yes, well. That is always fun, isn't it?" A little stick of his tongue, and then he murmurs, slipping his arms around Inga's waist. "So, I was thinking."
A little effort to hoist his mate into his lap, pressing nose to nose. "I was thinking if I should get... a proper Eorzean surname. Like Amerlis has."

Inga has posed:
Inga agrees with a laugh, reaching up to gently drape her arms around his shoulders. "A proper surname? Well, I suppose that you could. I believe you've mentioned it. I do not think I'll be much help in this regard, you know how my people do it. You are simply named after a parent, usually your father. Or, if one becomes famous enough...you get another name. Something that describes you. I only go by Freyjasdottir, because it is said I was chosen by Freyja. I've was also known as Inga Far-seeing, white witch...things like that," she explains. "They are not always flattering. I knew a man they called "tree-leg", of course..." she purses her lips, "everyone joked that one had multiple meanings."

N'raha Tia has posed:
Raha mmmhhhs. "I just don't want to pick something that sounds... ordinary or pretentious or anything like that." A grumble, and he smooches the back of Inga's head. "I want to find a nice balance of 'this is okay' and 'oh yes this fits N'raha.'" A huff puff, before he slides an arm away from Inga under the water, and then... pours another cup of sake.
He takes a sip, mmmmh,s and then offers it to her. "But that thought will porbably get eaten up by whatever inane nonsense happens in the next few weeks and then... I'll be right back here thinking about it again."

Inga has posed:
She nods. "It is not an easy thing, a name. Most people are given theirs. I imagine you may be given a few yourself. Then you simply...decide to claim it or not," she offers.

She does take a sip of sake, one eye squinting in a wince. She's not a huge fan of the stuff. It just takes like...burning.

N'raha Tia has posed:
Raha sighs and takes the cup back, sipping himself. The soldier has drank worse. "I suppose. One of these days one of those names will stick. Raha, Warrior of Light' is not really A Name, is it?" He slips his free arm a little tighter around Inga, before looking out at the water fall. "...Tonight, dinner. Tomorrow, we meet with the Scions. Planning. Yes?"

Inga has posed:
She smiles. "It could be a name, if you wanted it to be. It's certainly something you are called. It is up to you if you wish to embrace it or not," she replies, leaning in to press a kiss to his cheek.

"Sounds like a good plan. I've some time before the men of Hrafnheim return from...erm, their voyage, so I'll have time to spend in Ishgard."
