-- This is an in-character document submitted to the Union by Kongou regarding the Abyssal Fleet --

I've come to realize that we have not been very forthcoming about our enemies, the Abyssal Navy. Not because we're trying to conceal them, but rather because it just hadn't occurred to me. So with Flagship Nagato's permission, I'm releasing a primer on the known Abyssal capital ships, particularly those involved in previous encounters with Union agents.

1. Samar, The Battleship Princess

  • Undisputed Admiral of the Abyssal Navy
  • Notes: Easily the most dangerous member of the Abyssal Navy thus far encountered. Highly intelligent, boasting high firepower, and a mean streak a kilometer wide. Playing to her ego might stay her hand but I wouldn't expect it to last long if it works at all. If Samar mobilizes on a sortie, it's a good bet that the objective is very important to her, or she is out to make a point or set an example. I do not recommend fighting her alone--Because she, herself, is always accompanied by Abyssal escorts and, often, by other Capital Ships on this document.

2. Savo, The Airfield Princess

  • Abyssal Navy Air Wing, Vice-Admiral under Samar
  • Notes: More personable on the surface than Samar, do not mistake Savo for a 'nice person'. She is every bit as cruel as her master. While she lacks direct fire weapons, she fields an enormous amount of aircraft. May be prone to toying with her victims to see what they might do under pressure. Attacking her directly is very difficult. Often accompanied by Abyssal escorts.

3. Darwin, The Seaport Princess

  • Abyssal Navy Harbor Matron, Vice-Admiral under Samar
  • Notes: Possibly the 'nicest' Capital Ship we've encountered. Darwin could even be called peaceful. However, she becomes a monster of firepower and aircraft when other Abyssals are threatened. She does not sortie very often. Know that her armor is thickest out of all the capital ships and she is no slouch in both air and firepower. She may only move when provoked, but provoking her is very ill-advised if you are not prepared.

4. Wake, The Isolated Island Demon

  • Abyssal Navy Airfield, Captain under Savo
  • Notes: All we know about Wake is that she is the strongest of the Demons, a class of capital ship ranking below that of the Princesses, and that her main arsenal is also aircraft. Her behavior is haughty and direct, with a focus on destroying her foes as quickly as possible. Wake's combat style is highly efficient, but can also be sloppy and she rarely has the patience to remain and ensure her foe's complete destruction.

5. Rossel, The Armored Carrier Demon

  • Abyssal Navy Aircraft Carrier, Captain under Savo
  • Notes: A mobile airstrip and a member of the Abyssal air arm. Rossel is prone to boredom and uses combat as a way to entertain herself. She's been seen toying with weaker targets that could have been destroyed easily, simply to see what they will do. In this way she shares traits with Savo.

6. Anchorage, the Anchorage Demon

  • Abyssal Navy Harbor, Captain under Darwin
  • Notes: Resentful and angry. Anchorage seems to want to inflict as much suffering as possible through her existence. Her arsenal focuses not on destroying enemies but in wearing them down. Her presence can be like poison. I don't recommend fighting her alone if only for this reason. Offensively her power is lower than that of Wake.

7. Leyte, The Southern Ocean Demon

  • Abyssal Navy Battleship, Captain under Darwin
  • Notes: An extremely violent Demon-class warship with an equally violent temper. She appears to be weaker than the other Demons and also appears to take offense to this. Much like Samar, playing to her ego may be useful. Unlike Samar, given Leyte's complex, it is likely to be more effective if done right.

Once I have it prepared, I will also submit a primer on the more commonly fielded warships.
