Link (6986) has posed:
MIDDAY
Ordon Forest, intersecting with Faron Woods

The distress call went out recently. A group of Multiversal traders ended up in an unfamiliar medieval-esque world due to a new unification, and ended up waylaid by monsters. To keep their cargo moving, they need to be rescued.

The trees are thick together near where the warpgate appears on the path, the bright sun shaded by their canopies, as birds nest and squirrels crack at nuts. The path underfoot is dirt, thin and undeveloped, as it seems many don't travel through these woods. The way forward is clear enough even with the fading path, though, with the sounds of cries and hviolence.

Travelling towards the source of the disturbance, a clearing is reached, one that'd likely be frolicked in by rabbits and the aforementioned squirrels if not for the fact that a group of monsters was harassing a trio of humans (two men, one young and one old, and a young woman) dressed in clothes suited for journeying, their horses spooked off and their bags spilled across the ground. Food supplies are poked at by grubby monstrous hands, ripped from bags as they eat at fruit and jerkies, while others menace the trio personally.

The monsters in question, throughout the clearing of trees and rocks, are small red-skinned creatures, about four and a half feet tall, hunched over with pig snouts and long billowy ears. Their eyes are a pure searing blue, and on the top-center of their bald heads is a single small drill-shaped horn. Their three-finger hands hold clubs and rusty cleaver-like blades, depending on what appears to be some sort of confusing pecking order, with the ones with the cleavers getting first pick at the food. There's eight of the goblin-like monsters in total, outnumbering the human trio. Probably a few too many, but it seems they had a conflict - two of the monsters are wounded, dripping black ichor from their wounds as disarmed swords lie on the ground from a conflict.

N'raha Tia has posed:
If it was a rescue in a strange world for strange people in a strange time, that wounds like a Job For The Watch. Not that Raha was in charge of these things, to be sure, but he WAS a Warrior of Light and he WAS on call today, which means the catman is making his way with due haste to the scene. Though, not on a horse.

No, his companions today are a big green 8 foot tall emu-thing, and whoever else is coming in on the job. The catman steers the bird through the portal, out towards the clearing, and pulls up short at the sight of Not Goblins busy fussing over loot. A glance to the humans, who are cowering, and to the maybe nasty critters, and he yanks his axe down from his back where it was slung over his lovely wool sweater. "Ahoy there. Someone call for assistance?" He points the axe at the Bokoblins. "Was it you fellows? If it was, the help you need is figuring out table manners."

Sanary Rondel has posed:
A distress call is usually a good way to score some brownie points with the local populace and Multiverse at large, so Sanary's arrived to save the day! Maybe.

Also, to see if there's anything valuable in the merchants' cargo. PR is nice, but useful supplies is nicer. Spotting the Bokoblins and traders, the healer walks right up to them to try and get in between the two groups. "Hey, hey. Easy. Now what's going on here, and does someone need to get chopped up to get everyone to behave? Because..."

She glances towards N'raha, then the two groups. "... I dunno who's at fault here yet." To be fair, she didn't personally see the Bokoblins attacking anyone yet, and she's seen plenty of people attacking other people. Maybe it's not quite as it looks!

Sarracenia has posed:
As the creatures menace the humans and root through their supplies, a small wooden aircraft much like an Osprey comes through the warpgate. Its flight path seems wobbly, and it only maintains flight for a short distance before crashing at the edge of the clearing. Despite being wooden, it holds up fairly well. But, one wing is broken in the crash, and a few moments later the tail end opens and a rather tall and regal young woman emerges...and she looks none-too-happy.

"Winston! How could you crash the Dyna?!" the girl demands of a squat looking piranha plant person who can be seen through the canopy of the aircraft, flailing and obviously apologizing profusely. The girl straightens her golden crown, then smooths out her billowing red gown before looking around.

She stops mid-smoothing motion as she sees the creatures and the humans. She stares a few moments before straightening up quickly and coughing politely. N'raha and Sanary arrive, and the princess makes her way over to stand with them. "The humans seem much more likely to be the ones who called for help. These red creatures outnumber them and are going through the supplies. But, I suppose we cannot assume..." she says to them before she reaches into her satchel and pulls out her DK Hammer.

She then steps forward as well and speaks in a clear, strong voice. "Greetings to all of you. I am Princess Sarracenia Sundew, Crown Princess of the Sundew Kingdom. And whichever of you are the aggressors I strongly suggest you drop any stolen supplies you have gathered and depart at once. We may yet be able to resolve this situation without any further injuries." She gives her long reddish-blonde hair a toss after she is done speaking, then levels a dangerous look at one of the cleaver-wielding Bokoblins.

Lilian Rook (6895) has posed:
Lilian's actual mission for the day had ended up falling through, so with a halfway mix of desire to stab something, and reluctance because otherwise it'd be a relaxation day, she'd pretty much thrown a dart at a board and decided to respond to it. Considering this sounded like some really penny ante stuff, she hadn't bothered to spend a lot of time suiting up for war, as much as recent events were still bothering her in the back of her mind.

It's almost coincidental that she shows up in this idyllic little fantasy countryside in the evening's red skirt and jumper over a white shirt, underlayer and tights, looking like she'd just gotten back from a casual (rich people's) dinner, albeit not even bothering to hoof it properly through the trail. With just her sword strapped over her back, she goes floating along and through the winding trail, leaning forward a little as if just the shift in her center of gravity were the impelling force, and much in keeping with her gliding like a ghost, phasing through the bends of oppressive brush completely, allowing not a twig nor bush to catch on her custom tailored clothes.

She shows up at the clearing from a slightly different angle, taking in the bokoblins a little flatly, and glancing down at the two wounded ones. "Infighting, huh? Not really very coordinated are they. Or smart. 'Monsters' might have been a misnomer. Maybe 'subhumans' would have been more accurate." She looks up. Then to Sanary. "Speaking of which, hey, you're alive. I win a bet for that. Good job."

Sarracenia then gets an eye-narrowing, partially open-mouthed gape. "Are . . . you serious? Whichever one is the aggressors? Isn't it obvious?" she says, gesturing sidelong at the armed goblin things. "They're the only ones that even have weapons! Jesus Christ. Step aside then." Lilian turns towards where she's gesturing, and then twists her hand sideways to point with two fingers. Intricate gold circles form in layers around her digits, turning against each other like the pieces of a tumbler and clicking together into a single, iconographically dense disc. The air before her fingertips ignites into a point of fizzing, crackling white light, like a tiny breach, and then fires a piercing ray of almost vibrating white-yellow energy, bleeding off into orange and red in its air wake. She aims to just put it straight through a bokoblin when its back is turned.

Link (6986) has posed:
Besides food, the packs have silverware (which might be worth something to someone, maybe? probably not) and one of the pouches seems to carry their actual travel wealth for trading. The bokoblins don't care about that stuff, while the swords on the ground appear to have been one belonging to a bokoblin and one belonging to a human, indicating less infighting (though they probably do that anyways) and more that they got into a fight with the younger human male.

What they do care about is interference and fresh meat. The bokoblins scream aloud, not quite speaking in a language but seeming to understand language based off their gestures as they glance to each other, their body language saying 'we should totally steal these guys' stuff'. To make things even less vague, the young woman pushed back against a rock shouts out. "Help! They attacked us!"

And with everyone else deciding not to attack on the first swoop, the bokoblins get the attack of opportunity. One of the ones with the cleavers that Sarracennia glared at howls and charges at her, moving to swipe that cleaver into her, while two of the club carrying ones move to bother Sanary, trying to smash their clubs into her knees, trip her up, and then if they succeed, start bashing her in the head. Two of the cleaver ones go for N'raha...

And one of those two soon has a hole in his chest, black ichor bleeding out of him until he completely dissipates into nothing. This panics the two injured ones, who start throwing rocks at Lilian, sharp and painful but likely not lethal unless they hit her in the head hard enough. The remaining cleaver one goes for N'raha, trying to cut through him, while distancing itself from Lilian, clearly afraid of her.

Sarracenia has posed:
Sarracenia hmphs at Lilian. "Of course it seems obvious. I was -trying- to give them a chance to surrender or retreat rather than simply obliterating creatures of unknown intelligence. I suppose if you had come across my piranha plant subjects in the position of the humans you would assume they were monsters rather than people and simply let them be killed? This is not your world, where the dangerous creatures are neatly defined in groups by traits and threat levels." She looks Lilian over suspiciously. "...aren't you a Paladin? I thought individual rights mattered at least -somewhat- to you guys."

Although she didn't attack first, Sarracenia did find it pretty obvious who the aggressors were and so is quite ready when that Bokoblin comes for her. "Ah well. Chance given and rejected." she says with a bit of a grin. Smashing things is always more fun anyway. She dances to the side as the cleaver is swung at her and in a spinning motion brings her DK Hammer around to strike at her assailant's back. Being hit with that hammer is akin to being hit by a truck at high speeds, and to top it off it causes a small explosion upon impact. It is more for show than anything, though. "If you all wish to meet a bandit's fate, so be it!"

N'raha Tia has posed:
"Wrong answer!" And as the Cleaver Boko dives in at him, the catman deliberately jumps from his Chocobo and into the strike of that hand axe, taking it on the shoulder of that sweater- which clangs with a rather un-sweater-like noise. A grin on his face, the energy of the attack boiling up in the Warrior. "Problem is... I like getting hit."

Raha's own axe comes around, the Bravura sweeping low, underneath Lilian's strike as he pairs up with the young Paladin, grinning. "It never hurts to be sure, Miss Wizard." His ears fold back against his head though, as aether billows off his frame, the 'sweater' phasing out of sight, replaced by lean looking chain and plate, the red metal gleaming when the sun strikes it. "COME ON THEN." He slams the axe against his armor, and roars at the remaining Bokoblins. "SLAKE YOUR HUNGER ON A SOUL STRONG ENOUGH TO REBEL AGAINST YOU, WORMS. I AM N'RAHA OF THANALAN, FACE ME."

Sanary Rondel has posed:
"Good seeing you, too." Sanary smirks as Lilian shows something vaguely resembling faith in her. She had to, if she had taken a bet for her survival!

Sarracenia's and Lilian's analysis of the situation has Sanary frowning a smidge. "Hey. Just because they're red and short doesn't mean they have to be the bad ones. Maybe there's some smart... Whatever they are back home, and people know that we'd give 'em a thrashing with the right poses. We don't know that yet."

Wishful thinking, but still. Sanary does pause to squint at the creatures, though. "Would it kill you to /not/ be... Doing everything you're doing /right now/, though? Seriously..."

No, they're definitely in the wrong here. The healer rubs her forehead and sighs lightly, but her luck is just so that she does that right when the club-wielders bash her knees in. "Gh... SON OF A BITCH YOU UNGRATEFUL ASSHOLES"

As she's yelling and cursing them out, she isn't actually trying to avoid any of it. She can't, what with her knees getting whacked. Instead, she simply tries powering through it, grabbing for the nearest Bokoblin's club or arm to swing whatever she gets a hold of as a weapon against the others.

Lilian Rook (6895) has posed:
"If there were a bunch of people huddled together and looking terrified while something called a 'piranha plant' was eating armed and their food, yeah, I would probably shoot it." Lilian replies to Sarracenia, flat and dispassionate. "Use that big princess brain of yours and ask yourself if I've killed humans before too."

Lilian twists her hand a few degrees clockwise with uncannily precise, stop-start micro motions, the gold circles compounding and collapsing on new layers with audible clicks. She then pushes her whole hand through the assembly until she is 'wearing' it aroudn her wrist, and then splays her hand, flicking all her fingers into the direction of the mob, and now spraying a dense scatter of buzzing gold bolts and atmospheric scattering into their ranks, leaving only a small safe zone for the humans in the middle as a continuous volley of blasts seemingly falls out of the top of the trees and rakes back and forth to catch bokoblins that run outside of the AOE.

They start throwing rocks at her head, and that is completely unacceptable. Maybe if it were something dignified like at least crossbow bolts, but Lilian stolidly refuses to be hit in the head with a dirty rock flung by a dirty goblin.

The sharp chunks are most of the way through the air before appears right next to the throwers, still floating a foot off the ground, now blocking out the sunlight on them, casting them into her shadow in an exceptionally ominous way.

                -----[stop]-----
"Piss off you horrid little shits." she hisses, then wheels around to kick one in the side of the head and smash him straight toward the other, and then from there, in line with a tree. She could have done that part normally, but she's wearing a skirt, and was having a tough time withholding the desire to be rude.
                -----[start]-----

Link (6986) has posed:
The fighting begins. Sarracenia moves to respond to the one with the cleaver, swinging around to smash the Bokoblin in the back with the hammer. While it gets just in reach enough to slice into the princess, it's at the cost of literally being hammer-tossed far away into the trees. It doesn't return. (It's probably dead or unconscious.)

Sanary is hit in the knees. It really hurts! But she forces her way through it, picking up one bokoblin by the club and swinging him into the other goblin. He screams. His buddy screams. Sanary might be screaming, who knows. These ones don't actually die because Sanary's just battering them around, but the one swung into is knocked unconscious, while the one in her hands is just flailing around harmlessly.

N'raha's axe slices through the cleaver bokoblin harassing him and brings it down, bleeding black ichor heavily. Finishing it off is easy enough, though his scream as an interesting effect.

As Lilian 'disappears' and reappears, and then timestop beats the bokoblins into each other, and smashes them into a tree, probably with permanent brain damage if they're not dead (added on to the permanent brain damage they were born with), the scream of battle cries out. None of the bokoblins are able to accept the challenge, or even really would want to.

But a pair of giant, larger creatures (one red, and one blue) similar to them appear from the Faron side of the woods, flanked by two more red bokoblins on their farmost sides, one each. With their arms and ankles wrapped in white bandages, possessing animal-like heads with a pig nose at the end of their long snout and tall unicorn-like horns on their heads, these moblins are each wielding massive clubs. They seem somehow /dumber/ than the bokoblins, but they sure look stronger.

Noticing all their allies dead or unconscious, one of the bokoblins moves to sound a horn, presumably to gather more allies and swarm the heroes. As this happens, the group can clearly hear the trotting of a horse coming, and a whoosh. For those capable of seeing fast-moving stuff (or stopping time for a quick look), an arrow flies through and dead-center takes out the hornblower, as a reddish-brown horse enters the clearing. A man in a green tunic with a matching cap rides towards the moblins, putting away his bow and drawing a sword off his back

"Hyah!"

The swordsman leaps off the horse, and comes sword down on the other bokoblin, piercing it through the chest and slaying it in seconds. With pointed ears, he's not human, exactly, but he sure is someone who knows what he's doing.

Or, at least he did, until one of the moblins has faster reflexes then it has any right to, as the blue one moves to sweep at him with the club, forcin the blonde-haired warrior to roll backwards. The two moblins laugh and laugh, and then howl.

---- MINI BOSS: MOBLIN BROTHERS ----

Approaching together, as the swordsman moves to find his footing, keeping his sword at the ready, the club-wielding nasties move to swing their heavy clubs into the group, spinning around and bashing into them. They're stronger than the bokoblins, as is their skill, and those clubs could easily crush somebody to death with a few swings.

N'raha Tia has posed:
Oh. Oh well. N'raha has done something foolish then. The little ones run off, and the Big DAWGS come out. Well. "Okay, sure. I suppose I deserve that." The catman grumps a bit as he reaches up and slams the visor down on his helmet, leaving just glowing red eyes to peer out of the slots at the Moblins. "Alllllright, uh. I'll take the blue one, I guess?" He points up at the blue one, for effect, and hollars. "YOU! CHUNKY! DOWN HERE! I'M GONNA CHOP YOU OFF AT THE ANKLES!" And the catman bellows deeply, a Lion's Roar shaking the clearing, as he clears the entire distance to the blue Moblin in one burst of aether, leaping to shoulder tackle the big guy and try and bring him to the ground.
This, sadly, pushes him past the view of Link. His ears flick a bit in his helmet, as he charges. He can sense another person out here with Proper Steel, but he can't see him, not unless he takes his eyes off his foe. "Sanaray? Whoozat? Friend or foe?"

Sanary Rondel has posed:
There is a lot of screaming going on. Fearful screaming, pained screaming, angry screaming. Sanary's section of the battlefield is made of screaming.

And then there's something else to scream at when the larger creatures arrive. Sizing them up, Sanary's first instinct is to charge at the moblins, flailing bokoblin in tow, pausing only when a mysterious horse-fighter arrives and summarily eliminates the bokoblin reinforcements.

"Just how many...? Oh, whatever. Don't get too cocky, sword guy!" Sanary calls out to the green swordsman as she starts spinning around with the bokoblin gripped firmly in her hands, releasing it after a few moments to fling it somewhere in the general direction of the moblins before nearly toppling over from dizziness. Once she's regained her footing, however, she finally brings out her axe to take some of the impact off the moblin's spinning swings, getting knocked back several yards and dragging her weapon across the ground to slow herself down.

"Hard hitters, these ones... But they're probably even slower than me!" And then she rushes towards one of them, aiming to start chopping right into its legs. She swings hard rather than fast, and it's clear that she's comparing her own strength to theirs despite implying using speed as an advantage!

Sarracenia has posed:
Sarracenia laughs at Lilian outright. "You failed to grasp the point entirely!" she mocks just before gasping as her dress is cut, along with the fair skin beneath. If that Bokoblin wasn't already sailing through the air, she'd smash it again! She hears Sanary and huffs softly. "Why do you think I gave them a chance to withdraw?" she asks, only to blink in astonishment as the Bokoblins after Lilian go flying for no apparent reason. "...I wonder if I could learn how to do that?" she muses to herself.

The big ones do give Sarracenia pause, and she stares for a moment before stepping back to let N'Raha do his attention grabbing thing. He seems so eager, after all. But, it seems only one might be distracted, and those clubs are -big-. She continues to step back until she hears that galloping. Her eyes sparkle a bit as she is treated to quite the heroic display...only to get smashed by the red moblin's club.

It is the princess's turn to go flying through the air this time, and she smashes into a tree before falling to the ground in a heap. It takes her a few moments to get up, but when she does she glares at the big red bully. "Alright...let us see how you like this!" she exlcaims as she reaches into her satchel and pulls out...a Bullet Bill! She tosses it upward, then with a powerful yet extremely precise swing of her hammer fires it toward the red moblin like an artillery shell from a massive cannon! The shark-faced bullet streaks through the air at a blinding speed, and explodes powerfully upon impact.

Lilian Rook (6895) has posed:
"Slower physically, or slower in the head?" Lilian quips off to Sanary before she's even looking at what's going on. She just can't help herself. She takes about one quarter of a look at Link, and then replies to N'Raha "Who cares? He's shooting the bad guys, so he's on our side for as much as it matters until there's no bad guys left to shoot." She dismisses the circular magical array around her wrist with an opposite flick of her hand, and once again, unthinkingly unable to help it, says "No. Because you're an absolute idiot." to Sarracenia. "And you didn't have one."

Big CHONK boyz are kind of more attention getting than shitty evil level 1 mook goblins though. N'Raha is performing a useful function in attention-getting tanking. Sanary is . . . being Sanary, honestly. Sarracenia is fighting the red one, so Lilian will taaaake . . . blue.

Giant fuckoff clubs being randomly swung around her way is kind of below the capacity of effort to payoff ratio for Lilian to go dramatically clashing with them and acrobatically showing off. Where they charge, she moves --is-- back and out of reach, letting the press of fighters with swords and axes and hammers take to the front lines, so that the *plebs* can do the dangerous work while she turns and floats up to the uppermost reaches of the trees, exploiting the melee AI and being a dick with open world !climbing mechanics.

She just barely maintains the presence of mind not to use fire. She almost thinks 'shame I didn't bring a gun', but honestly these beefy boys look a little too chungus to be plinking with a handgun. Instead, she channels a more significant amount of magic down the length of her extended arm, rolling back her sleeve and steadying it with the other hand, where crimson electricity streaked with black flickers and arcs down to the tip of a finger. She stays there charging up for several seconds, and then lets rip a gigantic bolt of annihilating lightning aimed through the blue one, both of those colours instead of a natural purple or blue. Despite ostensibly being a fuckmassive lightning bolt though, it doesn't set anything on fire. The leaves, brush, and wood is just turned to ash before it can burn.

Link (6986) has posed:
N'raha moves to shoulder-check the big blue one with a burst of aether, trying to slam it to the ground. This works to knock it backwards, but as it's about to collapse to the ground, it slams its club down, using it as a support, falling to his knees. This does give an opening - for Link, to leap onto the moblin's back and stab into it. It roars out in pain, trying to shake Link off, as the Hylian, who N'Raha can probably see now, shouts out to him. "Go!" When it becomes clear N'raha's a warrior and not part of the caravan, though, which is presumably 'when he refuses to leave', Link cooperates, gesturing towards its legs for N'raha to strike.

While they're doing that, Lilian sends off her huge lightning bolt at the blue one. Being actually smart unlike the moblin, Link kicks off the back, pulling out his sword and tumbling to the ground, as the lightning surges through the monster and leaves it stunned and almost dying. It swings one last time, going for N'raha and trying to swing at Lilian if he can reach (he can't, but he can smash into the tree a few times unless she goes further back).

Sanary and Sarracenia both go for the red one. Sanary throws her bokoblin at him, stunning him long enough to draw her axe and close in, and starts cutting into its legs. This is very effective, until it raises a leg and moves to kick Sanary in the face with it. But while it's doing that...

Sarracenia can counter attack with her bullet bill. She smashes it forward like an artillery shell with her hammer, which hits it in the back, stunning it and sending it toppling forward. It's in a daze, leaving it open to strike...

After it falls probably on Sanary, unless she can roll out of the way. Woops. But if not stopped quickly, it'll get back up and start striking again, sweeping that club at Sarracenia.

Both of the Moblin Brothers are heavily wounded and just need finishers. As Link tumbles back, he pulls out a strangely modern-looking radio, the type that they hand to you when you first unify with a world, and speaks into it while he catches his breath from nearly being part of the lightning shock. Looks like he's aware of everything, even if he might also be a native.

N'raha Tia has posed:
The Moblin is taking time to go down, and that's just fine for the catman. N'raha's axe comes around on Link's call, before the lightning bolt fries the 'poor' think through the forehead and chest and all its amidsparts.
"Haaaaaa! Always nice to have a Thaumaturge around. COME ON CHUNKY, GET UP! YOU'RE A BIG BEEFY BOY CAN'T YOU GET UP?" When it's clear that the Big Beefy Bo is not in fact getting up, Raha sighs a bit, stands over the top of the creature, charges his aether, and...
For a guy in full plate, it's a surprisingly graceful move. He flipss up into the air, Bravura taking a moonlike arc over his frame, before the heavy, glowing blade is dropped right through the Moblin's neck, aiming to put a stop to its Beefy-ness.

Sarracenia has posed:
"WHAT?!" Sarracenia's screech at Lilian's reply is ear-piercing at best. "You who are barely better than the monsters you fight dare to call me an idiot?! My POINT was that one should not be so completely bloodthirsty as to disregard the very REAL possibility that the creatures are people and should be given the opportunity to display intelligence -before- being killed like vermin! Suppose someone came to -your- world, misread a situation, and killed you and your friends and family without even bothering to question what was happening!! I AM THE IDIOT?! You do not even bother to use your brain at all, do you!! And to address an earlier point, you have displayed quite handily that a physical weapon is not the only weapon available!!"

Yes, the princess is quite livid, and her voice is in a very high octave at the moment. She harbors thoughts of including Lilian in the list of things to be attacked here today, but she at least has the presence of mind to wait until at least after these Moblins are defeated. And since she has plenty of rage to draw from at the moment, she charges in after her Bullet Bill strikes and leaps into the air. "HYAAAAAAH!!" With an angry, frustrated shout she somersaults before trying to hammer the red moblin in the middle of the back as he tries to get up. Even if he does get up in time, the hit still has quite a bit of force behind it and even causes a bit of a shockwave when the princess hits the ground, whether the Moblin is hit or not.

Sanary Rondel has posed:
"Yes! Wait." Sanary responds to Lilian before she can fully process what she said, narrowing her eye after a moment. Another moment later, and then she shoots an annoyed glance Lilian's way. "Hey!"

She waits about two seconds. If Lilian looks her way, Sanary flips her off. If not, Sanary's just sort of standing there waiting awkwardly.

Perfect timing, then, for the red moblin to kick her right in the face. The healer goes tumbling backwards, grunting painfully with each tumble while she just sort of ragdolls around a bit from the pain of getting kicked right in the goddamn face. Luckily, there's no slight inclines nearby that keep her rolling for an entire minute, and she has enough time to start healing herself up, mending bones and closing up wounds while getting everything in her head rebalanced.

And then the moblin starts coming right down at her. For once, Sanary's reactions are actually on point, and she manages to roll just enough that she doesn't get flattened! She grabs onto the moblin as it rises, latching onto it to weigh it down. Once she gets her bearings, meanwhile, she even gets right back into the fight, hacking away at its arm to try and take the entire thing right off!

Lilian Rook (6895) has posed:
"I apologize." says Lilian to Sarracenia. "I was mistaken. You're a downright moron." dry as the Saraha.

One chunky boi is out of the picture but having a club that huge from a monster so strong swung at the tree she's chilling out in is pretty much guaranteed to fall over. She gets to her feet to jump out, but then the whole thing quakes and snaps like a tree, sending her tumbling out of its boughs, breaking her fall just before the ground with a tech float to spare her house clothes the fate of getting dirty, like she's been doing so far to the detriment of resolving things in any good time. She tilts her head to the radio when Link actually just pulls one out. "Oh? He speaks."

At hearing the names of the critters, she says "I feel like those should be backwards. Bokoblin is the bigger and harder to say name, so they should be like, 'advanced moblins'. Also, they attack in swarms, apparently, so moblin makes sense as a portmanteau of mob and goblin." Lilian continues, in the most completely asinine analysis possible at the moment, eventually taking some clear 'ha!' enjoyment at Sanary just getting the dig.

She does at least continue to contribute somewhat, instead of just being antagonistic. She checks to see where the ambushed travelers are, and if they're still anywhere nearby, directs them back to the trail they'd come out of, assuring them that she'll get their stuff later. Picking up both of the used swords from the ground, she tilts one back and hammer throws it at tremendous speed into the face of the rampaging bokoblin, and then at the tail end of the same spin, chucks the other one backhanded into the dying one's chest, flicking the full swordblades out one-two like throwing knives.

Link (6986) has posed:
"Be quiet." Link speaks in Sarracenia's direction as he hears her screech, but is probably drowned out by it - he doesn't mean it rudely, he just doesn't want her to summon more monsters.

Sarracenia and Sanary both keep up the pressure on the red moblin. As he tries to get up, the hammer smashes into his spine, causing a shockwave, which rattles through his bones. As he tries to clutch out and rise even so, his arm is cut off by Sanary's axe, putting him fully into shock, and sending him careening over as she strikes. He might still survive it, if it wasn't for the sword chucked into his chest. The body disintegrates, leaving behind only that arm, and the horn, which probably hascsome sort of value.

The blue moblin is almost down, too. N'raha leaps upwards, plunging his axe into its neck, but it's thick enough he can't quite cut the monster's head off. It's Lilian's hammerthrown sword that does the finishing blow, impaling it in the face, calling it fall onto its back, and leaving behind only a horn when it ceases to exist. Link keeps his radio to his ear, as the merchants, not waiting to see if there's even /more/ reinforcement, head back to the warpgate as quickly as possible.

Link appraises the group, and nods. "Thank you. Good work." He moves to start grabbing one of the bags they knocked back, considering whether or not he'll reply to Lilian about the blins. "I don't know who named them."

He's kind of quiet. And has yet to introduce himself, too, as he sheathes his sword, and calls over his horse with a whistle of his fingers to load the bags onto her. But it's going to take some time to gather everything, so he's not leaving just yet. In fact, curious, he asks a question. "Who...are you?"

N'raha Tia has posed:
The Bravura wigles a little bit in the neckly regions of the Moblin, doing it's best to decpaitate, but, well. Some things are tough. The sword pops the CHONK the rest of the way though, and as it evaporate into smoke, the catman hrmphs. "Well well well. Voidkin even in other worlds."
He sighs, and then turns a bit to face Sanary and the others. A moment... and then the armor is gone once again, replaced in a flash of aether with his sweater and jeans and that very Dadcatte outfit again. "Right, Hi. I'm N'raha of Thanalan. You can call me Raha." He smiles, his ponytail swishing a bit along with his tail as he shuffles over to Link and holds out his hand. "Always nice to see a fellow warrior." A nod over to the 'healer' with her Axe. "That's Sanary. She's okay."
A /look/ at The Princess. "And that's Princess Sarracenia. She's pretty okay too."
A look at Lilian. "I don't know her though."

Sanary Rondel has posed:
Sanary huffs and puffs angrily as that moblin finally goes down, landing on the ground where it had been with a thud. Taking note of the horn left behind, the healer wastes little time in grabbing the thing for VALUABLE LOOTING AND PILLAGING purposes.

She'll probably try cooking with it later.

"Everyone okay? Ugh. Big bastards hit harder than they look." She shakes her head as a green light pulses around it, focused on mending those wounds again while she waves at the others to try and gather them together for EASIER HEALING CLOUD. "Name's Sanary. Good to meet ya, horseguy." She smirks at N'raha's lack of commentary on Lilian.

"She does teleporting magic shit. And calls people stupid." That gets a frown. SANARY WILL REMEMBER THAT.

Lilian Rook (6895) has posed:
                -----[stop]-----
"D-d-d-double kill." Lilian whispers to herself, as if afraid of someone hearing that even while time itself no longer has any grasp of her.

She then begins picking up scattered belongings and stuffing them into bags, taking her time with it since with both mobilins now turned to dust, she doesn't have to keep a combat stop, giving her a good few minutes to stuff packs and try to keep them orderly. It's a mixed effort. She's not good at luggage packing, and spends a while pushing stuff and huffing "How the hell did they even get this in there?!" Normally she has people to do that for her.

                -----[start]-----

Lilian has the bags, repacked as best, albeit somewhat roughly, as they can be; the food is a lost cause, unfortunately. When she got them or repacked them, who knows? Everyone was busy fighting. She holds them out to the rescued travelers, waiting for them to take the straps out of her hands.

"Given the looks of this place, Dame Commander Lilian Isabelle Rook, of the Unseen Order of the Scarlet Cross. Pleased to make your acquaintance. I'd shake hands or do a curtsy or something, but this is a lot of baggage." she says, delivering bags back. "Are a knight as well? Or some sort of wandering monster slayer? You certainly seem to know plenty about them. Could you answer me why they explode into smoke, actually?"

Sarracenia has posed:
Sarracenia relaxes a bit when it seems like Lilian apologizes. "Well, I am glad you-"

And then Lilian continues. Sarracenia is still for a long moment, forgetting everyone else. She doesn't even look toward N'Raha as he gives that look or Link as he asks who they are. She walks with purpose toward Lilian, stops directly in front of Lilian even while Lilian is holding all of those bags, pulls her long glove off...and firmly swats it across Lilian's face if she is not stopped. She isn't screaming anymore, but a burning anger is obvious in her expression. "I do not care who you are or what rank you might hold. No one speaks to me in such a way without repercussions." she says, her tone quiet and intense. "If you continue to do so, I will have no choice but to challenge you to a formal duel."

Her task done and her pride satisfied for the moment, she turns to Link and curtseys. "I am glad we could help." she says, then looks to the merchants. "If you need supplies for the journey home, I can provide some food and drink."

Link (6986) has posed:
The travelers take their bags from Lilian, thank everyone profusely, and head back through the warpgate. They'll continue their expedition later.

Lilian and Sarracenia's little tiff has Link all confused, but he's not getting involved in that, no way.

Link nods to the introductions. He considers himself for a second, before pointing at himself. "Link. I'm..." Taking a moment to consider how to phrase it, he outright says it after a few seconds, a little anxiously.

"I'm the prophesied hero of Hyrule." It's not bragging at all, because he seems almost ashamed in how he says it. However, he's distracted when Lilian introduces herself completely as some sort of knight, and shakes his head when she asks if he's one. "Swordsman. They explode because they're monsters." He pauses. And then shrugs. He doesn't know much else about it besides that, apparently. He seems kind of rural, honestly, based off his clothes and how dirty his boots are. And also the fact he doesn't do any respectful thing back to Sarracenia besides nod his head.
