Primary Village Seven
Date of Scene: 20 June 2014
Location: Digital World
Synopsis: Primary Village Seven, in Tatsuto Satou's Digital World, seems to be under threat of attack by a Mothmon flying above its tower. Heroes gather to protect the baby Digimon of the village, but not everyone's there to be a hero!
Thanks to: Thanks to Tatsuto Satou for running this!
Cast of Characters: 66, Rebecca Chambers, 307, Alexis, 468, 469

Tatsuto Satou (469) has posed:
Primary Village Seven is located in Region Seven of the Digital World. I mean, obviously. Where else would it be? The region is comprised primarily of rolling plains, deep forests and wide lakes... One of which the Primary Village finds itself next to, complete with a dock, although the dock currently doesn't seem to serve any boats.

The Primary Village seems as though it's built out of play blocks, and the ground itself has an oddly soft feel to it, despite looking just like grass with stone paths criss-crossing it, connecting the houses. At the center of the Village is a tall tower with a bright shining beacon atop it.

The Village is populated primarily by... squishy-looking blobs, with eyes, mouths, and little else! Baby Digimon don't have many features okay.

Tatsuto himself is near the edge of the Village, shielding his eyes and gazing up toward the beacon. Plotmon and Moonmon are both taking up opposite shoulders.

Alexis has posed:
"Porygon pory zee." <Signal trace confirmed. We've got a live one here!> Alexis just rolls her eyes at the thing that looks like someone painted one of those gimmicky 'drinking bird' toys in pink and cyan hovering over her shoulder. <Proximity analysis is... uh...> The porygon-z bobs erratically <... I'm getting confusing signals here. This place doesn't -look- digital...>

"Try not to think too hard about it." Though the pink-haired trainer eyes some of the building block buildings as she strides up. "... Though it kinda feels like an ant's eye view of a kindergarden playroom."

"Porygon!" <Radio source detected!> The digital critter blips off rapidly in Tatsuto's direction.

"Gah, don't rush ahead! You might scare something.... I can't believe I just said that about a porygon..." Alexis adds under her breath as she follows the digital monster's lead.

Allyn (307) has posed:
Allyn prowls into the area then over towards Tatsuto and blinks as he looks around, "What the?" and then he notices the squishy looking blob things and has to blink again. Well, good thing they aren't bouncing up and down or anything like that, he is currently a large cat after all and he'd probably bat at them or something if they were. He crouches down and his ears flatten against his head as the tip of his tail twitches, "Just what is this?"

Digimon Emperor (468) has posed:
One could say successfully conquering the world gets boring after a while. The idea of another Digital World, especially one that's essentially been turned into a GAME, was a welcome change of pace for the Digimon Emperor. Without a map, though it wouldn't be possible to go there as he pleased, or even to start dropping some of his toys.

Like a peasant he must lower himself to adventuring there.
He doesn't mind. Gives him a break from Wormmon.

Dressed in white, blue and gold, eyes covered by his fantastic cool shades (which, if one looks closely enough, seem to be outputting raw code in front of his eyes), regal cape and all, the boy arrives towards the village riding on the back of what can only be described as a Chocobo dressed like a ninja. With a long, flowing yellow scarf, wild spiky orange hair (which also apply to its tail, rather than tons of feathers), a black spiral around one of its legs, and bloodshot, glowing red eyes.
For those savvy enough, this is a Peckmon.

He does not seem to rush to meet the others, rather taking his sweet time to stride through. He idly pulls his Digivice out, which is drawing an awful but functional minimap over time, and then pockets it again.

Now where is that threat that made him come all the way out here?

Rebecca Chambers has posed:
S.T.A.R.S. is known for handling all sorts of situations, whether they're related to Bio-Organic Warfare or not. Sometimes Umbrella is involved and sometimes they're not. But in this case, it seems to make little difference who's involved, since Rebecca Chambers has made it a priority to deploy as quickly as possible to the location.

"This is Rebecca, I've made my way to the location," She says into her radio earpiece. "I'm awaiting--" She pauses abruptly as something doesn't seem right. "Hello? Does anyone copy me? Is anyone there?!" She darts her eyes from side to side, then scowls. "Damn it, what's going on with my radio?" She looks around, trying to spot her colleagues, while still scowling about her radio.

Lucatiel of Mirrah (66) has posed:
Welcome to the realm of the digital. It's a very strange place for somebody who's not accustomed to that kind of thing! While it certainly looks normal, there's something about it that just feels a little bit off.

A single figure approaches down whatever road serves to lead to the area. A figure on horseback, by the look of it -- a very large horse, with a very long mane and tail, and very minimalistic barding; just a simple caparison consisting of saddle-pad and breastband of studded leather, and a simple studded leather halter. Lashed to the saddle are all manner of things like a bedroll, saddlebags, and other supplies; as well as a round metal shield, a long greatsword, and a slim rapier.

Its rider, however, is more ornately dressed -- a fine silk shirt, a beautifully embossed leather cuirass, leather leggings and cuffed leather boots, and a truly magnificent hat with a broad, wide brim; along with a smattering of white feathers toward the front of the brim, and rising above, a single truly stunning plume that must have come off a very large something. It's black as night and rises almost a foot or two above the hat's leather brim.

The rider also wears a brazen mask, silvery in finish, that seems to represent a bearded man with a short, sharp mustache and a short, sharp beard; unsmiling, with slots where the eyes should be. It's a little bit unsettling.

Reining the horse in, the rider's masked head tilts up, regarding the tower that Tatsuto's looking up at. The horse nervously crab-dances in place, tugging on the reins, but the rider doesn't give the animal any free rein to get jittery. It lays back its ears at the sight of the Peckmon, snorting nervously and attempting to dance back and away from the Not A Ninja Chocobo.

Its rider calms it with a hand to its neck, glancing over to Tatsuto and nudging the horse that way.

"You... you are the one who was asking for help, are you not?" The masked figure's voice is low and soft-edged; feminine despite appearances. Her voice echoes very slightly through the metal of the mask. "What threat have you called for assistance for?"

She is saved radio shenanigans because she doesn't rely on the thing. Hah.

Tatsuto Satou (469) has posed:
Allyn;s presence is noted by the baby Digimon! Many of them swivel around in place to look at him. Just... looking, with wide, innocent, and somewhat uncomprehending eyes. Is this a new sort of Digimon? They have no idea!

Meanwhile, as the humans begin to arrive, Tatsuto turns to look. "Ah...! Um, hello. Welcome to the Village. I'd, um... I'd offer a formal tour and everything but right now we have a problem..."

He looks back to the ebacon - while Plotmon regards Alexis' Porygon-2 curiously. "See, up there, that shape?" Just visible is... something very much like a large moth. "That's Mothmon. Data-attribute Adult-level Insect-type. None of the children recognise it, so I'm fairly sure it doesn't belong here. It hasn't -done- anything yet, but I'm worried it might..."

He then peers at Lucatiel. "...Wait, is that a horse? Just a... normal horse?" He looks perplexed.

Alexis has posed:
Glitch continues to flit around the boy and the two young digimon, eyes flashing lights back and forth like a scanner. "<Digital enties detected. Scanning... ERROR, digital entities register physical bodies but =/= Porygon.. Accessing local networking for reference...>" The Porygon-Z abruptly snaps upright, head spinning around in jerking circles. "<ERROR ERROR, I have five bars reception but response time is crap! Network traffic decreasing FPS due to infinate points detected!>" Frantic flipper waving as his eyes change to digital static. "<BLUE SCREEN BLUE SCREEN CONTROL-ALT-DELE-->"

And gets cut off in a flash of red as Alexis recalls it to a pokeball and sighs. "Sorry, I think something about this world is messing with his already glitchy code." Aptly named, that Porygon-Z. She rubs her temples with one hand while replacing the ball on her belt with the other, then turns her attention back to the beacon the kid points up to. "Spare the introductions kid, time for that later." She squints a bit. Hmm. Digimon have come and gone in the Multiverse but they're one type of monster she hasn't had a lot of direct experience with. "Well, we ain't gonna find out just standin' around." Being the sort to just get right to the point she starts walking towards the beacon tower.

Allyn (307) has posed:
Allyn peers back at the baby digimon and perks his ears up at the information about what they are here for. He gets back to his feet and pads up to one of the babies and gives it a nuzzle and a purr. "So these little cubs are in danger?" he tilts his head at Tatsuto and then looks up, "And the thing is up there?" tail tip twitches, "Let's go have a closer look, what do you say?"

With that said, he gives another nuzzle to the blobs and a reasuring purr before padding back and begins to shimmer as he changes forms, a large eagle now standing where the snow leopard once was, with a piercing cry he launches himself up into the air, flapping his massive wings to climb.

Rebecca Chambers has posed:
"I'm Rebecca Chambers, S.T.A.R.S. Rear Security and Field Medic, and an Ensign of the Union," Rebecca replies to Tatsuto. "And don't worry about the tours. We have more important things to deal with right now!" She takes out her Beretta and loads a clip into it, then looks around briefly, glancing at Alexis quickly as her Pokemon is recalled, before looking back to Tatsuto.

"Let's get going," Rebecca says as she starts to move towards the tower behind her allies. She takes her Beretta out and keeps it at the ready. Not that she wants to use it, especially in an area where there are innocent Digimon that could be harmed, but she doesn't like to be entirely defenseless either.

Lucatiel of Mirrah (66) has posed:
The masked rider shifts slightly in the saddle, which looks more utilitarian than ornamental. One gloved hand clutches the reins; the other rests loosely at the fore of the saddle, unarmed for now. The figure seems to consider the question, head cocking very slightly to one side, as though in puzzlement.

Uh.

"Yes."

The response is a little bemused. As opposed to what?

Shaking its head, the masked figure instead looks up to the indicated beacon and the moth-like shape perched on it. Most of the classification is so much gibberish that rolls off the ear, ignored, but the part where that thing does not belong is relevant enough.

The masked rider's horse meanwhile shoves its nose in the direction of Tatsuto's pockets, possibly staggering him if he's not paying attention. What'cha got there?

Digimon Emperor (468) has posed:
Ah, there we go. A whole flock of heroes!
The Digimon Emperor grins wide, but he wonders if he's really here to cause a ruckus or just prepare to cause a ruckus later. Peckmon isn't a scrub, and could probably put on an okay show. On the other hand, what's more interesting to him today... knowledge, or a good show?

Ken's grin certainly wouldn't let on that he still hasn't decided.

The young teenage boy in blue and gold finally reaches the gathering, unafraid to just show up. He hops off Peckmon, and then glares up at the sky at the prompt. That's a Mothmon alright. Way, way up there. He doesn't have one of those. He makes a mental note.

"If it shouldn't be here, then you should teach it not to be places it shouldn't be," finally comes his voice, and he's not dropping the smile one second. "Peckmon."

The ninja-bird screeches, and then starts running towards the tower.
It then starts running up the tower's side.
It is a very dramatic ninja.

The Emperor's glance falls onto the varied unevolved Digimon all around them. Weak, weak, weak... no, none of these would do. At least, not as-is. But, once the fighting starts, maybe...

Tatsuto Satou (469) has posed:
The tiny off-white puppy stares at Glitch as he... glitches out, apparently. She then looks up at Alexis with her head tilted to one side. "Is that Digimon going to be okay?" She sounds genuinely concerned! How adorable.

The babies around Allyn all yay and cheer as he transforms. Huh.

Tatsuto just stares at the weirdness for a while, but realises he really shouldn't throw stones in his glass house or whatever the cliche is. "...Right! We should approach the beacon! But, uh, be careful, we don't want to startle-"

And then there's a Peckmon running right up the beacon tower. Tatsuto stares, then peers over towards Ken with a look of confusion. "...Another Tamer...?"

As Peckmon rises higher and higher... the large insect takes notice, and with a startled cry it takes to the wing! It comes into full view.... yup, that's a giant moth with a minigun-stinger all right. Mothmon.jpg

Alexis has posed:
"He's a digital monster, but not a digimo -- oh I'll explain later." No time for trying to sort out that confusion. "Yeah, he'll be fine though. Just a data processing error." Alexis replies, then stops as Peckmon rushes past, then up the tower. Catchs the comment from the newcomer behind the group but doesn't bother looking back. "I take it that one isn't one of yours either?", she comments aside to Tatsuto.

Then frowns to herself. They have no idea what that thing is going to do. Other than the obvious weapon on its tail.. thorax... whatever you call it on an insect. Wouldn't make a good first impression to raise too much of a ruckus needlessly. But if that thing stays in the air... hmmm.

She glances aside at the burst of motion as Allyn transforms into a bird and takes off. Okay so we are going up for a look then... well letting Glitch out again would just be a disaster, so we go for option two. She snatchs a different pokeball off her belt, expands it, and hits the release button. "Hurricarana, you're up."

Energy arcs from the opened ball to the ground in front of her, manifesting into a humanoid-like avian whose plumage makes it look like he's wearing a mask and cape, said 'cape' flaring out for the feathers of his wing-arms as well when he thrusts them up. "Hawlucha!"

"Get up there and take a look, but don't make any sudden moves. I'd rather it not flip out needlessly." "<Oooh, a new opponent to check? Away we go. Arriba!>" But instead of flying off as one might expect of a bird he takes to some nimble leaping up the nearby block-buildings with some fairly quick and agile acrobatics for being somewhat squat and husky looking.

Rebecca Chambers has posed:
As Rebecca walks towards the beacon, she stops as Tatsuto mentions another tamer. "What do you mean?" She asks, only to turn and get a look at the Peckmon, and her eyes hang wide open at the sight of that thing. It's bad enough that it's as big as a B.O.W., but the fact it's got a minigun for a stinger? That really has Rebecca a bit shaky in her boots. "What the hell IS that?!" Rebecca asks, still staring in terror for a few moments.

And then, almost like her mind has snapped back to reality, Rebecca looks around, trying to find a possible spot to take cover behind in the event that thing starts shooting at them.

Allyn (307) has posed:
Allyn flaps his wings until he gets above the moth creature and then starts to soar and circle around above it and watching to see what it does. He's never seen anything like it, but it does look rather dangerous. Maybe such a large bird form wasn't a good idea, but he'll deal with that later. He doubts the others could hear him from this high up, but he calls down as loud as he can to the others, "I'll try to distract it then.

With that he tucks his wings slightly and angles himself downward and makes a dive at the Mothmon to try and distract it from the others while they figure out what they are going to do, giving another piercing cry to attract more attention that there is a giant bird of prey coming in.

Digimon Emperor (468) has posed:
"Tamer is such a crude word. I prefer chosen one!" comes the Digimon Emperor's reply, absolutely unashamed of his preference for more telling titles. He crosses his arms, apparently uninterested in following either the responders or even his own Digimon up that tower. He makes sure to get a good look at Tatsuto, though. That's another chosen one for sure. DigiDestined. Tamer. Whatever their local term is. He could be a problem-- a huge problem. But also, entertainment. Something he critically needs.

"The only way hostile Digimon learn is by being taught their place."

Up the tower, Peckmon comes to a halt on the roof. Its glowing red eyes settle on Mothmon, apparently having no particular intention to respect those requests to keep low and not do anything.

The avian ninja Digimon suddenly twirls, swiping menacingly with one of its wings towards Mothmon. It even shouts! "KUNAI WING!" Predictably, tons of knives and daggers, vaguely feather-shaped, shoot out of its wing towards Mothmon.

Ken returns his stare back up, interested to see how Peckmon fares. Its level might be even with that Mothmon but Digimon have that annoying quirk of sometimes being more awesome than their level implies. Looking at you, Angemon.

Lucatiel of Mirrah (66) has posed:
Shifting the reins, the rider sits back in the saddle, looking up as the startled Mothmon suddenly takes wing. The horse backs up a pace or two, and the rider doesn't seem to mind letting it take its distance.

That is a very big, very bizarre-looking bug. Is that a cannon on its tail? No, wait, its tail seems to BE a cannon.

"The Multiverse is a mad place," the masked rider comments to themselves, under their breath. With a flick of the reins, the horse is steered in a tight circle, preparing to run if the bug-thing thinks about running away.

That hat and mask turns toward Tatsuto. "What would you have us do--"

And suddenly that bird thing is shooting knives at the moth-thing.

Lucatiel finds herself staring because she doesn't really know what else to do. This is all very bizarre. And she can't fly, either.

So many strange creatures. The masked rider simply contents herself with sitting in the saddle and staring, occasionally making soothing noises under her breath because she really doesn't want her horse bolting and dumping her out of the saddle.

And so she glances back to Tatsuto. "And what would you have us do now?" she inquires, somewhat blandly. She pointedly doesn't interfere with Peckmon, because screw that, she likes not being perforated full of holes.

Tatsuto Satou (469) has posed:
Tatsuto stares up at the Peckmon atop the beacon tower. "Wait, what are you doing?!" Too late! Not that it likely would have listened anyway... off those feather's fly!

"GAUSS POWDER!" comes the Mothmon's response - Digimon certainly have very human voices, don't they? With several flaps of its wings, the Mothmon produces sparkling, metallic dust in the air. And, as the kunai-feathers enter the dust cloud... they're drawn away from Mothmon's body, as if pulled by incredibly powerful magnets!

Well, when one takes into account the name of the technique...

THe Mothmon wheels around, bringing its cannon stinger to bear. "MORPHON GATTLING!" it cries, as the minigun begins to spin up... oh my.

Tatsuto panics. "Ah! We... we need to get them into cover! Even a stray shot could...!" Them? The children, perhaps?

Allyn (307) has posed:
Allyn would probably growl is he were in a form that were capable of doing so, but eagles are not equipped for being able to do that, so what does he do? He shrieks at the Mothmon still not sure what thast canon thing is, but he can sense that it might be dangerous, no he needs a more agile form than his current, but tht might not provide much cover.

Conflicted over to stay as he is, so he is a larger target, or to switch to a more agile bird form, he extends his wings and flaps to pull out of the dive and flies lower, just in front of the weapon being targetted on whoever it is targetted on and does his best to make sure it'll be him that is hit, the cubs must be protected after all.

Alexis has posed:
When the thing starts shouting attack names Alexis reacts in kind, reaching over her shoulders to grab what appear to be a pair of sword hilts sticking out of her golf bag. Sheathed swords of some kind it looks like as she pulls them out... Though as she does so each opens a jewel-like eye in their hilts. "Doublade", an ghostly voice that reverbs almost as if two speaking in unison can be heard as the tassels attached to their pommels unfurl like boneless limbs to grab their scabbards and pull them off, then wrap around them to bind the guards against Alexis' arms like a pair of bucklers.

"Alright Balisong. Use Wide Guard!", Alexis commands as she sweeps her arms to hold the dual ghost swords out at her sides, and as their eyes glow the flicker of a barrier of some sort can be seen in the air in front of her, reaching the length of the outheld swords point to point as they utilize a move meant for protecting allies in group battles. They'll take the damage of any attacks that come this way, at least for now. "Then get them out of the open!" She snaps over her shoulder to Tatsuto. "Horse lady, help him with cover if ya can't fly."

Meanwhile, Hurricarana has his own ideas. The Hawlucha leaps up and off a high perch to launch himself towards the Mothmon, using his agility and airborne maneuverablity to try and grab the Mothmon around where his neck would be and try to put the digi-moth in a flying headlock, using his own Acrobatics momentum to jerk its aim away from the town below. "<For shame! Flashing a gun around in front of childen. What sort of ideas are you trying to give them?!>

Digimon Emperor (468) has posed:
"Hahaha! Isn't it obvious? I told you, there's only one way to teach hostile Digimon their place! If you don't want it here, you have to make sure it understands! PECKMON!"

As Ken orders his 'loyal' Digimon partner to continue fighting, the avian ninja stomps its foot on the tower, obviously rather annoyed its technique was inneffective. It goes for a new approach, making a powerful leap off the tower towards Mothmon. Peckmon's body spins, and is engulfed in flames as he tries to deliver a flaming spinning kick! "SPIRAL CLAW!"

It is entirely banking on being able to reach the insect before that minigun is done warming up. It's going to hurt otherwise. The Gauss Powder might not be a friendly walk in the park to jump through either.

Back on the ground, the Digimon Emperor's attention falls off his fighter and towards the baby Digimon. He pulls his black Digivice out, examining the critters with it. He's not exactly rushing to help any of them, though.

Rebecca Chambers has posed:
"What the hell?!" Rebecca yells as she tries to find something to take cover behind. After that, she looks around and then realizes what Tatsuto is talking about. She seems a bit conflicted about what to do at first, but then her instinct kicks in. "We can't protect them all at once, we'll have to do something else," Rebecca says as she checks her Beretta, and then realizes that this may be the best option given the circumstances. "I don't have any pesticide, so this will have to do!" Rebecca pops out from her hiding spot and fires off two shots.

Tatsuto Satou (469) has posed:
Everything seems to happen at once.

The Fighting/Flying-type Pokemon grabs Mothmon by the 'neck', just as its Morphon Gattling begins to fire - roughly one hundred rounds per second (!) spew out of the cannon, several hitting Allyn... but as Hurricarana forces its aim to veer to the side, it attempts to compensate, bullets mowing through the ground. Peckmon manages to get away unscathed, kicking the Insect-type in the abdomen!

Meanwhile, on the ground, Plotmon leaps off of Tatsuto's shoulder and starts trying to get the Baby Digimon to flee! Tatsuto joins in two, the pair managing to get a semi-orderly evacuation going... Into the buildings, everyone!

Balisong and ALexis, thankfully, manage to absorb all the wild shots coming at the group. Well, they might not be too thankful...

Alexis has posed:
Alexis steps back one foot to brace as the gun opens fire, 'hit spark's visible as several shots impact the defensive technique. Doesn't matter if it stings or not, keeping those 'kids' protected is more important... And the tomboy can be faintly heard muttering under her breath about fancypants' resorting to attacking right away.

But that die has already been cast, only thing that can be done now is deal with it.

Hurricarana keeps the hold as long as he can, but when he sees Peckmon coming in for a flying kick he lets go and leaps off of Mothmon to not be in the potential impact area. An acrobatic flip lands him on top of the beacon tower, holding his arm-wings out both for balance and for dramatic flare. "<So, a rudos you will be? Tch. So easily provoked. But so be it.>" Wings flap down for extra lift as he leaps off the tower and high into the air from the already impressive height. But getting an advantage above their opponents is what Hawlucha excel at. "<Then feel the wrath of...>

At the apex he flips over and spreads his arms out wide again, though the cape-like wings do nothing to slow his decent into a diving bodysplash towards Mothmon, just make it look all the more flashy and extravegant. This pokemon really plays up the luchadore aspect it has.

"<HURRICAAANE KALOOOOOS!>"

In other words, he's using his species unique move: Flying Press.

Allyn (307) has posed:
Well, that is going to hurt. Allyn gives a piercing cry when bullets tear through his wings, maybe even a couple hitting him somewhere in the body somewhere as well. He's never been shot before, being from a world where technology never surpased the use of swords and such. There is one disadvantage to being in the form of a bird and having your wings shot especially if you are currently in the air. So just as imagined the large eagle drops like a rock, spiraling downwards and out of control as he falls.

Luckily, or rather unluckily Allyn falls unconsious as he plummets out of the sky, unable to hold onto his shifted form while that way, he shimemrs and shifts in midair, returning to his human form. Yep, that landing is going to hurt.

Lucatiel of Mirrah (66) has posed:
The masked rider glances up at the moth-thing with the cannon for a tail, and over to the bird-thing with the knives for wings. Or shooting knives from its wings. It's not really very clear what the deal is with that. Whatever it is, those innocent li'l fluffballs are probably going to have a bad day if they're in that thing's line of fire.

Kicking the horse's flanks, the masked rider crouches slightly in the saddle as the horse leaps obligingly forward, long mane whipping at the sudden momentum.

"I do not know if you can understand me -- but come with me, if you do!" She'll turn the horse to try and partly circle the fuzzy little amorphous village residents, herding them away from the angry Mothmon; zig-zagging back and forth in an attempt to keep them away from harm. "Come with me, if you want to live!"

And, with that, she'll go about herding them away from the coming rumble while the others do their heroic (or nefarious, your mileag may vary) things, off in the background.

Digimon Emperor (468) has posed:
Peckmon bounces off Mothmon with its flaming kick, landing back onto the tower with a flashy and perfect acrobatic spin and one-legged landing. This bird is a ninja, if you hadn't figured it out.

"METAL STAR!"

Peckmon produces a massive shuriken and hurls it towards Mothmon, with no concern for the Pokemon and other fighters in the way. Go figure, the Digimon is a jerk too!

Back on ye ground level, Ken finally settles on one baby Digimon and picks it up, feigning interest in helping get them to safety. Mostly the difference here is that the Digimon Emperor does not unhand his choice of a baby once they get to safer grounds, and rather keeps him tucked under one arm.

With his other hand, he taps the side of his cool shades.
Red on black symbols start scrolling in front of his eyes, a chunk of the code the Digital World tends to operate on. He seems to be glaring up at the still ongoing fight. It's really just a scanner. Helps keep track of fights you're too far to get a good look at. Saves the data so you can plunge into it later and see what could be improved. Gotta monitor those Dark Spirals, see how they do. They're incredibly hard to make.

"Hey, 'Tamer'! What's with the non-Digimon creatures?"

Rebecca Chambers has posed:
Rebecca takes cover briefly, then gets word that someone needs a medic. She immediately holsters her Beretta and checks her medical supply kit. "Good, I loaded it before we came," She says as she attempts to locate the injured and tend to them, while putting her safety to the side.

Tatsuto Satou (469) has posed:
"How should I know?!" Tatsuto fires back at Ken. "I just asked for help and they showed up!"

THe babies are safe! Huddled in their little houses. A few of them have been mildly injured, more due to the panicking than the fight... Rebecca will find that they respond fairly well to bandages, though! Even if they don't appear capable of bleeding.

The aerial battle is getting intense! The Flying Press slams into the Digimon's abdomen, knocking the wind out of it (?) and slamming it down through the air - right into the path of Peckmon's attack. The giant metal star digs into its body... but it manages to raise its gun to level on Hurrica-whatever (that name is too hard to spell). It's still spinning. Oh my!

"MORPHON-"

"PUPPY HOWLING!" comes Plotmon's shout, followed down, well, howling! "WOWOWOWOW!" Well. Sort of bark-howling. In any case, the Mothmon suddenly freezes up, giving the Hawlucha a chance to jump aside... and the Peckmon gets a perfect opening for its next attack!

Allyn hits the ground! OH N- wait the ground is so soft the fall does absolutely nothing. He kinda just sinks into the ground a bit.

Rebecca Chambers has posed:
Taking care of one baby at a time, Rebecca speaks gently. "Don't worry, you're gonna be fine." She says as she tends to each and every one of the babies. "This won't hurt a bit," She continues to coo. Apparently, treating these babies isn't as hard as treating some humans!

Alexis has posed:
Hurricarana flips off of Mothmon with the impact, quickly regaining his orientation just as the gatling gun comes swinging towards him... and then he's just as quickly GONE from the weapon's path as he uses Detect to evade the attack.... which doesn't come thanks to Plotmon's timely intervention, but he was ready for it.

"What's it to ya?" Alexis retorts over her shoulder at the non-digimon remark. "Your creatures aren't the only cuddly cute battle beasts when it comes to the Multiverse. Deal with it."

Her attention stays on more important things, like the fight. Mothmon is wide open now, but Hurricarana already used his option of evading the assault instead of striking. But now that the innocents are out of the way, she can stop playing defensive. "Alright, lets crank this up." Alexis puts both swords of the Doublade together, pointed out in front of her towards Mothmon. "Use FLASH CANNON."

Both ghost swords glow brightly, which consolidates between them to unlease a beam of bright silver energy towards Mothmon.

Because swords shooting beams of some sort is just that damn cool, even if it is totally a ripoff of sorts.

Allyn (307) has posed:
Allyn continues to fall until he hits the ground, if he were awake he'd be most thankful that the ground is soft and that he sinks into in it when he hits. At least nothing will be broken from this fall; however, he is bleeding from the bullet holes through his arms and his right shoulder, plus a couple in his legs. It probably really is a good idea that he's not consious at all at the moment.

Digimon Emperor (468) has posed:
Peckmon is hit by stray bullets from the gun; it couldn't be helped. They're flying everywhere. Mothmon doesn't need to be a pro at aiming, he just has to spray enough bullets all over that a few stray ones hit their mark. The avian ninja almost loses its footing off the tower outright, but manages not to, suddenly screaming: "THOUSAND BEAK NO JUTSU!"

Suddenly there is not one, but dozens and dozens of Peckmon.

Most of them attempt to attack Mothmon, revealing themselves as copies. They don't hurt as much. Even with several dozens of them the output is less than a single attack from a real Digimon would be. The real Peckmon suddenly slams into the ground next to the Digimon Emperor.

Ken hops onto it, a small, adorable red Punimon still in tow, along with his ever present grin. The Peckmon seems a bit strained at having a rider again, but if it can complain at all, it doesn't.

"What's it to me? What's it to me is that I've been awfully neglecting the possibility of there being more subjects for me to rule over! How shortsighted of me! Well, you enjoy your fight, Tamer and friends!"

With quite the forced burst of laughter, Ken dramatically flourishes his cape as Peckmon turns around to face the exit of the village. Looks like he MIGHT be thinking about bailing, short of something happening.

Tatsuto Satou (469) has posed:
Mothmon is hit, the dozens of pecks drilling into it before the Flash Cannon sends it tumbling! It starts falling down...

Plotmon suddenly dashes forward, hopping up onto roofs, propelled by a sudden burst of speed right up into the aerial battlespace. "SLEDGE DAAAAASH!"

Slam! A tiny puppy smacks into the weakened Mothmon... and it goes flying off into the lake.

Meanwhile, Tatsuto turns to watch the Digimon Emperor. Then he notices the Punimon under his arm. "...Wait, that's...!"

And then... Moonmon speaks up. "Yami Burst!" she calls - she's far too young for ALLCAPS - and spits a small ball of darkness at the retreating Digimon Emperor! Probably not enough to hurt, but, maybe - just maybe - enough for him to drop the Punimon.

-Maybe-.

Alexis has posed:
Despite her intention of keeping focus on the fight, Alexis' attention snaps back at that remark about subjects for ruling over. Fortunately the pokemon she's using has the mind to keep the attack aimed until Mothmon is falling, because that was a really big distraction. And now he's running off with one of the kids?

"Hey, get back here! You and your jerk bird are the reason it even attacked in the first place!" She spins around, pointing one of the Doublade towards him.. but then pauses a moment. Can't risk hurting the kid. Wait.

She flips one of the swords around, it letting go of her arm with it sash and grabbing its scabbard, using it as a counterbalance as Alexis throws it into a spin towards the wouldbe mon-napper. It looks like it could be a nasty attack, but really the Doublade is using False Swipe, which can't actually KO anything it hits. Best she's got on the fly to try and stop him.

Rebecca Chambers has posed:
As Rebecca finishes, she returns to the area where the fight is taking place and sees that the Mothmon is going down. "I think we got it..." She trails off as she sees the Digimon Emperor stealing one of the kids. Rebecca is about to go for her Beretta but then realizes it's too risky to shoot with the innocent creature there. "We have to stop him!" She yells out in desperation and frustration.

Allyn (307) has posed:
Well there isn't much Allyn can do at the moment, he's still out and still bleeding and doesn't look like anyone noticed that he had been hit and had fallen to the ground from the sky. So he's a good unconsious body and just stays there where he is.

Digimon Emperor (468) has posed:
"Don't get ahead of yourself, Tamer!"

The Digimon Emperor uses his empty hand grab his cape, covering himself as Peckmon starts speeding away. Moonmon's attack slams into the cape, not quite piercing through it, although the impact still looks like it rustled Ken's jimmies more than "the attack bounces off his cape" might indicate.

Alexis' own strike surprises him, because he didn't quite expect them to be switching gears off the fight so quickly. He reaches for the rear of his belt, suddenly producing a long, wicked black whip.

"PECKMON, DISTRACT THEM!"

The whip cracks forward, smacking into the Doublade. It's not enough to really harm it and more of a deflection, but it shows he's not completely useless. Peckmon lets out: "SUBSTITUTION!"

Poof.

The Digimon and its rider are replaced by a log!
It has feathers on it, and a ninja outfit.

Tatsuto Satou (469) has posed:
Attacks are launched.

The Digimon Emperor deflects, counters and evades them.

The Tamer stares. "Wh... no, come back! COME BACK! Coward! Don't run away from me!!"

When nothing happens, Tatsuto sort of... sinks to his knees.

And he stares.

Alexis has posed:
Being a Steel/Ghost type pokemon has it's perks. The whip doesn't really harm the Doublade at all. It does succeed in knocking it off course though, blade skimming off the ground until it corrects itself and uses it's abilities to spin back into Alexis' hand like a boomerang. "Hurricarana!"

"<To the rescue!> The Hawlucha jumps in, intending to grab Peckmon to stop his intervention, and suplex the bird into the ground!

... It's not until -after- doing so that he realizes it was just a log in a costume he smashed. "<Carrumba!>" Damn Substitute!

Alexis just grinds her teeth together for a moment, and lets the Doublade swords loose so they can sheath themselves. "This isn't the last he's gonna see of us..."
